this movie is so shitty

It occurred to me that the T-rex (we really need an official name for her) from the original Jurassic Park only killed one human in the movie, and it was that shitty lawyer who abandoned the kids anyway, so he had it coming. She wasn’t in the second or third film as those took place on the other island. She was, however, in Jurassic World where (spoilers) she saved everyone’s asses, JUST like she did at the end of the first film. So let’s do a tally here.

Humans Killed: 1

Humans Saved: 8 + 1 velociraptor

In conclusion the T-rex is the real protagonist of the series thank you.

“You pray,” the man said, and barked a laugh. He glanced at Cassian. “He’s praying for the door to open.”

“Pray I get a chance to work,” Cassian murmured, but both men seemed to ignore him.

Chirrut stopped his chant abruptly. “It bothers him,” he said, “because he knows it is possible.”

Chirrut’s partner laughed again. The sound was brief and ugly, but Chirrut only shrugged and told Cassian, “Baze Malbus was once the most devoted Guardian of us all.”

Baze Malbus. Cassian ran the name through his mental database and came up empty. “Now he’s just your guardian?” he asked.

Neither man took the bait.

From the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story novelization by Alexander Freed

It flows like a river through the soul
Protects, persists, and perseveres
And makes us whole

Minutes turn to hours, days to years then gone
But when all else has been forgotten
Still our song lives on

Sing Street (2016) - John Carney

5 bullets on this film:

  • Okay. I have been crying for about two hours because of this film, and I don’t even have feelings, so I don’t really understand what’s going on. It was one of the purest things I’ve seen this year and it made 2016 less shitty. This movie inspired me so much and now I feel ready to face 2017. Sing Street is beautiful, funny, sad, real, and wow, just go and watch it.
  • THE ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK IS AMAZING, if you don’t want to watch the film that’s fine (whatever, you’re just missing a great movie), but please listen to the soundtrack because it’s almost perfect. Personally, this is my favorite one.
  • The actors are amazing and the characters are really well developed, I now officially have a platonic crush on each one of them. I didn’t know Irish people were that cute.
  • You can really notice that it’s well written, the dialogues are natural and there aren’t any boring scenes, I think the pace of this film is perfect. You know when you don’t want a movie to end? Yes, exactly.
  • The main theme is music, but the moral is that you have to follow your dreams. Okay, that sounded terrible, but really, follow your dreams, because if you love what you do it means you’re good at it so you’re going to make it. I loved how the characters went through different musical styles before finding their own, and that’s it, if you keep doing your thing, everything will work out at the end.
  • Movie!Thranduil: a racist, arrogant, selfish asshole that's so greedy that wanted to start a war for some gold, thinks that the Silvan Elves are 'lower' than him, is incoherent from a movie to another (in DoS wanted to close his realm to everyone, in BotFA started personally a war ... WTF?), needs the Redeeming Light(TM) of Ta*uriel for seeing the Truth(TM), is basically the Evil Step-mother of Ta/uriel without any reason, even if he lost his Saint Wife(TM), he seems not to care too much for the safety of everyone, seems almost capable to commit a murder without problem;
  • Book!Thranduil: he said that 'Long I will tarry, ere I begin this war for gold', is wiser than Bard and Thorin, respected so much the culture of the Silvan elves that he and his father Oropher had adopted it, feared the power of Sauron because he was in the Last Alliance, and he had lost his father and the half of his army in that war, helped the people of Esgaroth after the destruction of their city, tried to be diplomatic with Thorin, acted in a gentle manner with Bilbo, and he and Celeborn after the War of the Ring reconciled and created a new realm.
