Draco Malfoy has been missing for three years. Harry is assigned the cold case and finds himself slowly falling in love with the memories he collects.
(I’ve rec’d this one before but I will keep pushing it on everyone because its the bEST ITS MY FAVORITE ONE OK I live for the mood and the entire fic is like a walking aesthetic and the characters are portrayed pERFE C T LY goddang)
Auror Potter and Unspeakable Malfoy team up to investigate a series of missing persons, and it soon becomes apparent that Dementors are involved. Despite their initial misgivings, Harry and Draco find that they need each other’s help, in more ways than one.
(I literally just finished reading this one like 10 minutes ago and it was a good good. A lot of interesting Dementor lore!!)
Harry Potter is an Unspeakable. Draco Malfoy is the wizard who shagged him. Adventure! Intrigue! Secret identities, celebrities, spies! It’s all right here, folks.
(THE SUMMARY DOESNT LIE. I TREALLY IS SECRET IDENTITIES, CELEBS, aND SPIESsseSSEs. But really this one is so well written and I’m a sucker for spy/thriller types and this blends the wizarding world into the genre so well im cryinnngngg)
I always saw myself as more of a watcher, although I suppose my siblings might have a different viewpoint on it. Actually, one of my least favorite things about being even remotely recognizable is that I’m not allowed to watch in the same way anymore. You know, you try not to hide from the world because you want to still participate and still be inspired by what’s around you. But I think that especially in the way that we’re exposed today as actors— and I’m not going to use the word celebrities, because I think there is a differentiation— it makes it hard to be a voyeur and really pull from what’s around you.
“In an old house in Paris that was covered with vines
Lived twelve little girls in two straight lines
In rain or shine
They left the house at half past nine
The smallest one was Madeline.”
-Ludwig Bemelmans, Madeline, 1939
I would like to share a sampling of the graduation project that I had so much fun illustrating! It’s an old series, but one of my childhood favorites. There has been a TV series and a live action film, but never a modern-ish animated feature, and it was a bit of a passion project to imagine what it would look like, down to the character designs and the actual scenes.
Also, I might have some good news to announce soon… keeping my fingers crossed in the meantime! ♪
I can’t even begin to explain how shitty this is????????????????
Also I just can’t see this show going forward from here…michael was such an intrinsic part of the show.
Like…They’re actually going to put Jane and Raf back together, it’s CLEAR that that’s happening. Which is just? So incredibly frustrating
Why save him at all? It’s not like he’s had a huge storyline this season (most of it has been recovery centered which is now. Well.) It feels like they brought him back solely for Jane to lose her virginity to him, as if that would “throw a bone” to this side of the fandom so they could then get on with Raf and Jane. I’m.
They skipped three years so they don’t even have to address the grief. Like. If you’re going to kill a character you should at least properly deal with the ramifications of that I’m sorry.
Bringing back the abusive af rose and Luisa relationship? I’m so tired. I mean I saw it coming but. Honestly what made this show good was the balance between the jane plot and the drug ring plot, and a large part of that had to do with Michael. Both in being with Jane and spearheading the detective aspect. Sin rostro was michaels case. He sacrificed so much for it. He was supposed to be the one to solve it. He was supposed to be the one to finish it. Are we just done completely with the police stuff now? I loved that part of the show and have missed it this season, even with Michael still there.
They didn’t even giving him a good death scene. I get that that’s how life works but really? A throwaway scene in the last minutes of the episode? After everything?
No more Rogelio and Michael
No more Mateo and Michael (or baby Mateo in general which is :( )
No more jane and Michael
And most significantly…Just no more michael.
I’m angry and upset and I realize a lot of that has to do with yes, half of my otp and one of my favorite characters dying. But also the more I process the more I become aware of how sloppy this was written and planned and that’s equally upsetting to me.
Top Left: “Oops We Got Married” AU It all started with a few too many shots and ended with
Louis drunkenly betting Harry to marry him – apparently “You won’t” is enough
incentive for both of them, because now they’re at a rundown motel with a 24
hour chapel, and they’re giggling and kissing in the pews as they wait their
turn. Except Louis sort of lost his buzz an hour or so ago, but he’s too afraid
to say anything. Where does ‘marrying your best friend under false pretenses’
fall in terms of moral ambiguity? (Louis almost calls it off right then and
there, until Harry admits he’s also dead sober, but… why not go home with one
hell of a story anyway?)
Top Middle: Bachelor
Party AU Harry and Louis decided the best plan for their joint bachelor
party was a boys’ night out in Vegas. Except now Niall is missing, Liam is
drunkenly belting out show tunes everywhere they go, and Harry won’t stop
crying over how excited he is to be Mr. Tomlinson. Apparently Louis is the only
one who can hold his liquor, and he’s going to need to be the one to come up
with a plan to get the Irish one back. If only he could remember where they
“Life Itself” This one actually started off as a dark, slow, moody track. Quite insular. But eventually we realized there was a cheekiness to the lyrics that we hadn’t really explored, so we injected a sense of optimism into the music. The character that this track is about is a sci-fi obsessed dude who spends most of his time alone inventing strange things and writing stories about ray guns or looking for aliens on Google maps. We made him a website. But that’s what the chords and sound effects were inspired by. Old sci-fi films/series. I also got a bit obsessed with Lollywood music (music from Pakistani films), and thats where the idea for the drums came from.
“Youth” The idea for this one came from a story someone told me once. They were telling me about their child, and something awful had happened to them. She was crying—but at the same time the memories that they had from that previous life made her so happy—so she was also smiling. That combination of emotions kind of made me feel like my heart was being ripped apart but also optimistic in a weird way. She had found a way to see happiness in this awful thing that had happened to her. That combination of emotions is what this song is getting at. Have a look at this character’s website, too.
“Season 2 Episode 3” Everyone knows someone like the character from this song. If you don’t, then it’s you. But there are lots of references to different psychedelic cartoons in this one—sonically and lyrically—including Adventure Time. That show is crazy.
“Pork Soda” I heard a homeless man talking to someone once and say ‘pineapples are in my head.’ In retrospect, I’m pretty sure it wasn’t actually those words, but I thought it was at the time, and it kind of stuck with me. The opening of the song is meant to sound like you’re outside on the street, and you can hear a group of people chanting this song. The drum sounds are made from old bins and trash pieces of metal I found around the studio. Kind of like those street drummers use. All that is meant to set the scene for the story.
“Mama’s Gun” I don’t use samples very often. I only like using them if they bring something to the table, aside from just music—a context and a further depth to the actual meaning of the song. This song is mainly about mental health, and I remembered this song by The Carpenters called “Mr. Guder.” It fit the atmosphere musically, while the song “Mr. Guder” itself was about an odd character of sorts, and then on top of that, Karen Carpenter’s story added another dimension to the lyrics. if you don’t know the story, you should look it up. It’s important and very sad, and it started a general social dialogue about mental illness which is to this day still a subject matter that we avoid far too much.
“Cane Shuga” This is the only track on the record that didn’t start with lyrics and vocal melody. It started with the beat and the heavy drums. I let the beat spin and wrote stream of consciousness lyrics through a vocoder for this one to try to capture a certain mentality you might have when you’re a bit fucked up. When you start speaking what seems like gibberish—but maybe that gibberish is actually quite revealing.
”[Premade Sandwiches]” This is a spoken word interlude. My favorite word in the album is in this: “McFuck.” It’s something that someone’s gotten at McDonald’s. Here it is used in a sentence: “What the McFuck are you eating?”
“The Other Side Of Paradise” This is musically my favorite track on the record, I think. The chords are quite bizarre, and there are some mad arrangement and structural things going on. And the beat was super fun to make. It’s gonna be fun live!
“Take A Slice” This track is about someone with a lot of lust. It’s as sleazy as I’ll ever get in lyrics. But everyone has that inside them somewhere, even if it’s only a tiny bit. And it comes out from time to time. For some people, it’s out all the time.
“Poplar St” This song is meant to open with a kind of musical/lyrical image of a place. A little guitar hook and a floating vocal line that all seems quite peaceful, but things get more and more twisted as the song goes on. The guitar starts doing weirder things, the music builds tension, and then the whole thing flips on it’s head at the end. And you find that maybe that place isn’t what you first expected it was.
“Agnes” As soon as I started writing it, I knew it would be the album closer. This is my favorite song on the record. And the saddest song I will ever write.
Dialogue prompt: "Hushed exclamation of wonder!" "What?" "I said, hushed exclamation of wonder."
HAHAHA oh my god hold on, I got this.
“She tried to drink from the fountain in the quad,” Keisha says as soon as she enters the room. Her hair is sticking wildly out of her braids and there’s a certain desperation in her eyes that’s become rather common the past few days. “Again.”
The three other students gathered in the empty classroom, huddled over coffee cups and half-filled notebooks, groan.
“I’ll add it to the board,” Abir says. There are deep bags under his eyes and he’s got the most coffee cups piled up in front of his chair. He hauls himself out of his seat and to the front of the room. He uncaps the dry erase marker and writes Drinking from fountain to the bottom, right under BROCCOLI AND WHIPPED CREAM ARE NOT HUMAN FOODS.
It’s a long, long list.
“Maybe,” Catherine says carefully, “we should tell her. I think she’d be more aware if she knew we knew. You know?”
“Fuck off,” Gio says. “I’ve been awake for way too long to make sense of that shit.” He puts his hand back down on the table, seemingly uncaring of the coffee puddle his hair falls into.
“She’s worked so hard though,” Keisha says, dropping down into an empty chair. “She’s getting better, really. She doesn’t do the stalker-stare as much anymore!”
“Yes she does,” Gio says, not lifting his head. “She just does it when you’re not looking. Still creepy.”
“I think Catherine is right,” Abir says, dragging himself back to his chair. “She thinks she’s blending in because we haven’t said anything. The suits almost saw her scuttle up that big pine tree yesterday. That doesn’t exactly scream human.”
“Exactly,” Catherine says, slapping the table. “If she knows we know then we can give her more obvious pointers! And stop her from giving herself away to the Men in Black.”
“We don’t know they’re the Men in Black,” Keisha says. “Maybe they really are auditing the university.”
The four friends stare at each other, Gio deigning to lift his head, for a long moment. Then they all burst out laughing.
“Oh my god,” Abir says, wiping tears from under his eyes. “I asked them about their geiger counters. They told me they were calculators.”
Catherine slaps the table again. “Ha ha, holy shit. That beats when they followed me and Georgiana into the ceramics room for some records.”
“I think my favorite part might be their fake ass badges,” Gio says. “I googled an IRS badge and they don’t look anything alike.”
“They’re so bad at their cover,” Keisha says, “it’s sad.”
“They might actually be worse at pretending than Georgiana is,” Gio says, “and she’s, you know.” He raises his eyebrows. “Not from around here.”
That sets them all off again. And if the laughter, at one point, becomes somewhat closer to crying than laughing, no one mentions it.

/noun/ the peace of being indoors during a thunderstorm
Summary: Bookstores have always lured you in with the promise of the quiet, the serene, and, most recently, him. Pairing: Jimin | Reader Genre: Fluff Word Count: 2,644 Author’s Note: This story was on one of my old Tumblr writing accounts that I just deleted, but it was one of my favorite stories and didn’t want it to collect dust in my drive.
You’ve always had an endless fascination with books and novels of various different shapes, sizes, and lengths. The way someone could paint an entirely different world with the mixture of just 26 letters, whisk the mind away from reality, stir emotions inside someone—emotions of laughter or sadness or one of complete contentment. The influence a simple novel could have on a person’s viewpoint has always fascinated you.
During your younger years, you would find yourself trekking to the nearest bookstore, if only to simply run your fingers along the spines of all the latest releases. You would open a random novel, just to skim the first sentence, allowing the words of a complete stranger to fill you with familiarity.
Not much has changed in the years following your childhood. Something about corner bookstores have always lured you with the promise of peace and quiet, an escape from the harsh reality you occupied yourself with. You constantly looked forward to the days you could run away and hide within the shelves of the shop, no matter rain or shine, sleet or snow, 30 pages of homework to get done during the night, you always made an effort to visit at least once or twice a week as soon as you entered college.
Today is no exception to the rule. With midterms rapidly approaching, you’re already drowning in papers, projects, and upcoming tests, the stress practically eating you alive. But still, instead of returning to your apartment, you find yourself turning down the familiar sidewalk in the opposite direction. The rain overhead is steadily pouring down today, serving as little warning bells that perhaps making the trip to the bookstore might not be the best option.
Judging from the gray clouds, it’s clear that the weather has other plans for the remainder of the day—the lightning that suddenly shoots across the sky is a clear indication of that—but you find yourself not minding much. The heels of your boots clash gently against the sidewalk, your hair curling slightly as the water comes in contact with it, but all those worries and annoyances dissipate off your skin like steam as the familiar shop comes into view. With the lights on inside, the place looks like a beacon of hope, allowing the smile to spread itself across your face as you quicken your pace to shoulder open the door.
The bell rings overhead as you gently shut the door close, running your hand through your hair quickly to rid some of the water trapped in your locks. After exchanging a smile with the familiar cashier at the counter, you make your way deeper in the store. Like usual, there isn’t anything in particular you’re seeking, but just being surrounded by text, aisles and aisles of hardcovers and paperbacks fills you with comfort.
You’re just starting the turn into contemporary novels, when one particular black, hardcover spine catches your attention, causing you to stop dead in your tracks, eyes widening with recognition as you distinctly remember this particular novel being one of the very few you’ve wanted in your own personal collection of books: John Green’s Looking For Alaska.
Your lips curl up into a smile, momentarily unfazed by the fact that the book had been placed on the highest shelf, towering a few inches above you, even as you stand on your tippy toes, even as your fingers barely manage to graze the book you want. It takes five times before you plant both feet firmly back on the ground with a gentle huff, considering the next movement to grab the book.
You’re just about to consider getting a running start between the two shelves, before a slightly amused voice cuts in through your concentration: “Need some help?”
Hey there, any tips on how to understand real world spoken Japanese better? I had no problem understanding my Japanese professors when they spoke Japanese in college, but I have trouble understanding my Japanese managers when they speak in Japanese (I work at a Japanese restaurant in LA) and can only make out like 2% of what they say.
I was actually making a post on this! (sorta) I was making a post on podcasts. I think that’s really helpful for your listening skills. If you’re listening to the news, then obviously you’re not getting much, but if you listen to the comedy section it’s very casual and slangy.
TBS radio (or ポッドでラジオ) is probably the best for super casual speaking. Lately I’ve been listening to this.
森崎博之のジャンプジャンプ - http://www.hbc.co.jp/radio/jump/index.html
it’s a comedy show. There’s a lot of overlapped speaking and super fast talking.
And perhaps for others that is so. But you and Will—you are not like two ordinary people, two people who might have been jealous of each other, or who would have imagined my love for one of them diminished by my love of the other. You merged your souls when you were both children. I could not have loved Will so much if I had not loved you as well.
The main thing I wanted to focus on in this, is the queens of Mewni and how they’re stories might affect Star’s journey. To do that, I feel it is necessary to bring up what exactly their pedestals said.
Celena the Shy; What hides behind the golden fan the hand does sweetly hold, a trove of cosmic secrets that will never be told. In the episode ‘Into the Wand’, Celena is the first tapestry Star really looks at, and Star immediately goes; “Great-great grandma Shy!”. Not only does this place Celena as the closest related Queen to star besides for Moon, but it also reveals that Star learned about Celena, probably from her mother, early on. We also came to note that- we don’t know what marks Celena has on her cheeks due to her fan. Some people have theorized however, that she has the diamonds on her cheeks like Moon due to the diamond shape in her wand.
Solaria the Monster Carver; A castle stormed is a hero born, with might as strong as steel. Kneels the void before her and the crushing force she wields. What really stood out to me is one, the markings on Solaria’s face. Lightning bolts- not one of the classic symbols from a deck of cards like many people theorize, but I feel the need to remind everyone- The symbols on their cheeks can change with their emotions. Whenever Star is bored, they change to hourglasses, and in some cases when she’s fighting, they can change to skulls. Based on the heart Solaria wears on her clothes, I think it’d be a fair bet to say she originally has hearts like Star. Another thing that stood out is that Star literally never mentions anything about her. She reads the pedestal, and then she’s rushing off to get chauncy (I never really bothered to learn his name).
Eclipsa the Queen of Darkness:Eclipsa the queen of mewni to a mewman king was wed, but took a monster for her love and away from Mewni fled. Eclipsa’s pedestal lets out a hiss of steam as Star passes by, something none of the other pedestals did, and in that steam seemed to be the shape of a face before it cleared. After Star reads her pedestal, she looks… mildly impressed, furthering the idea by saying 'Ohh, bad girl.’ Eclipsa also is mentioned in 'Page turner’ as Moon Butterfly’s (Queen Butterfly presently) 9 great- grandmother. Also In page turner, it’s revealed that Eclipsa wrote an entire chapter of dark spells, ones that didn’t seem to interest Star that much, but affected Marco greatly.
Moon the Undaunted:The immortal monster will long be haunted by the darkest spell of Moon the Undaunted. Here we see a young Moon, less prim and proper and looking much like her daughter, riding on her pet goat thing, and battling Toffee. Not just battling him so to say but- appearing to be winning, cutting off his famous missing finger. Star even looks baffled at this, saying in clear surprise 'My mom fought toffee?’ Which implies she didn’t know about the fight at all. It is then that Star’s attention is drawn to the thing currently making her own tapestry, and Toffee’s finger is ripped out of Moon’s tapestry.
Now, moving on. Obviously I think what’s really important here, is two Queens and Star. Eclipsa and Solaria.
Eclipsa is seen and mentioned many times throughout the few episodes, sometimes not with all that much fondness, and in Page Turner- fear. When Star grab’s toffee’s finger at the end of Into the Wand, it shows toffee, the wand breaking, and Eclipsa’s close up of her face.
Solaria is simply… a queen we don’t know much about. Her story is basically told on her pedestal, but that’s it. Her castle was stormed and she kicked some monster ass. The end. Unlike everyone else, Star doesn’t say anything about her- this either implies that she’s not important at all, or that her story is one we need to learn ourselves.
But the main reason I brought it down to Solaria, Eclipsa and Star is…. none of them seemed to have followed the tradition Moon scolds Star for. Eclipsa ran away and fell in love with a monster, the mewmans sworn enemy, and Solaria became a feared monster slayer more than a queen- even shaving her hair off by the looks of it, the family wand becoming a sword in her presence. Star clearly doesn’t like the tradition, and based on her slight respect for Eclipsa… she and Solaria might be the one closest to Star in a magical and personality based sense.
This is further proven by 'Bon Bon the birthday clown’ where Star casts one of Eclipsa’s dark spells, the All seeing eye. She does it, perfectly. She casted a dark spell, first try, perfectly. Better yet, when she saw how happy Marco and Jackie were, her jealousy and anger even allowed her to break a wheel on Jackie’s skateboard when she was far away. Those emotions described as 'dark’ by most, activate the darker half of the wands magic- something most people blame Eclipsa for.
I feel like Star will unconsciously find herself drifting to Eclipsa more often now that her spell book and her mentor are gone. It’s speculated Star and Marco are bound to be enemies, due to Marco’s monster arm appearing a few times, and how sympathetic he is towards monsters- Since Marco plays a strong role in star’s magic (if you don’t believe me, let me just remind you of how Star managed to achieve 'Dip down’ when she heard Marco reading the chapter of her journal titled 'my thoughts on Marco’ and how both times she saw Marco with Jackie while she was casting magic in bon bon the birthday clown, her magic backfired and activated the green magic- the darker magic- instead) it might not end up well.
Now that I got that obvious theory out of the way, time to mention my personal favorite.
Marco the king of Darkness. Yes yes, I know, 'Come on Arhi! Another Marco turns evil theory?’ Yes. Yes actually, but maybe not in the way many people think. Marco is sympathetic towards monsters as we’ve seen in quite a few episodes. That’s point number one- they keep coming for him and his best friend, but he still feels kinda bad about hurting them. Number two, his monster arm. Having it gave him power, something he clearly liked having, and even yelled at Star for her offer to remove the monster arm from him, saying that she could use magic all she wanted, but when it gave HIM an advantage it had to be taken away.
To me it almost sounds like it’s not the first time it’s happened.
Number three- Toffee calling him a disappointment. This ones kinda meh to me because it could have multiple meanings. A disappointment of a monster, a magical enemy for Star, of a companion of Stars, or maybe- as a relative of Toffee’s.
Number four- Marco’s affinity for magic. Specifically the darker magic. Marco is a human as far as we’re aware- no magical abilities whatso ever. So why did he respond the way he did to reading Eclipsa’s chapter? A chapter of dark spells for wielders of the royal family wand.
Feel free to talk to me about anything in my theories. My friend wanted me to write it all down and post it here so I’d love to see what you all have to say!
An explanation + compilation post of Jin’s (bad) dad jokes
So I don’t know if this is done already, but we all know that Jin loves to make everyone laugh with his good or bad old dad jokes. To appreciate his effort, I decided to make a compilation of the jokes I personally think are, well yeah, ‘funny’. Since most of these jokes are in Korean, they sound actually funnier in Korean than when they are translated to English, which is why I also provided a short explanation so that non-Korean speakers will understand and maybe even appreciate ;) Jin’s dad jokes as well! :) So let’s get started!
(I am not a native speaker of Korean, as I am only learning it as a second language! Therefore, if there are some mistakes in this post, please don’t bash me, and correct me nicely okay ;-;)
Q: What did the dog say to the wall?
This joke is so bad but okay ;-; Non-Korean speakers might not be able to understand this joke at first. But it’s actually a very easy joke to understand. Wolwol (월월) is the sound a dog makes in Korean, and the word sounds exactly like wall. i srsly wanted to hit seokjin it’s such a bad joke omfg
Q: What’s it called when God gives birth to a child?
A: A newborn child (= in Korean: 갓난아이)
To understand this joke immediately, you actually need to have some knowledge of Korean. This because the answer is a Korean wordplay. I’ll try to explain this as clear as I can.
The word 갓난아이 literally means ‘a newborn child’. 갓난 (’gatnan’) means ‘new born/just born’, and 아이 means child. See? The 갓 (’gat’) in 갓난 (new born) sounds like the word God in english, doesn’t it? ^^ It’s a typical Korean wordplay and this joke is actually one of my favorites lmao.
EDIT: I forgot to mention that 갓난아이 can also be translated to ‘the child that came from God.’ Here, 갓 means God, and 난 comes from 나다 (pronunciation = ‘nada’), which literally means ‘to come out of’. Another reason why this joke is a Korean wordplay (and is actually much funnier than people would think in the first place, hehe)
Q: How does a cow laugh?
A: U-haha (= in Korean: 우하하)
THIS ONE IS DEF ONE OF MY FAVS EVER LMAAAOO.
Anways *cough cough*, some of you might have seen the English translation of the answer as ‘muhaha’, which would make more sense in English ofcourse, but not in Korean. It’s a simple joke, really. The answer in Korean is 우하하. It consists of 우 (pronunciation = u), which means cow, and 하하, which is just haha. i rlly laughed too hard at this joke yoongi would be furious at me
Q: What’s the color of a hamburger?
Hamburger in Korean = 헴버거
Burgundy in Korean = 버건디
These two words just have a similar pronunciation lmao, especially in Korean. You actually have to hear it to understand it better. Watch THIS video to hear Jin saying it himself and to see Jimin laughing like crazy lmao.
Q: What’s dead sesame called?
A: Freckles (= in Korean: 주근깨)
Another Korean wordplay, lol. To explain it shortly, the Korean translation of ‘dead sesame’ is 죽은 (= English: dead) 참깨(= English: sesame). If you shorten 죽은 참깨 (pronunciation = ‘chugeun chamkkae’), you will get 죽은깨 (pronunciation = ‘chugeunkkae’), which sounds exactly the same as the Korean word for ‘freckle’, which is 주근깨 (also prunounced as chugeunkkae).
Q: What time is it in India? (= in Korean: 인도에 몇 시야?)
A: Indonesia (= in Korean: 인도네시아)
This one is so LAME but actually so funny ohmygod. I put the Hangul of Indonesia above, which is 인도네시아. The Korean translation of India is ‘인도’ (pronunciation = ‘indo’). In Korean, the 네시아 (pronunciation = nesia) in Indonesia sounds exactly the same as 네시야, which literally means: it’s 4 o’clock. So in Korean, Indonesia could also literally mean: ‘It’s 4 o’clock in India’, hence why the answer to this question is Indonesia.
To put it in a short and simple way:
인도네시아 = Indonesia
인도 네시야 (Which has a very similar pronunciation to 인도네시아, Indonesia) = It’s 4 o’clock in India.
Sooooo…. that was it basically! Ofcourse, Jin has probably made much more dad jokes, but these are the ones which were funny to me lmao. I hope you guys understand his dad jokes better now, and if you have a question about it, don’t hesitate to ask me! ;)
Q: When a pine tree gets angry?
A: Toothbrush (칫솔; pronounce as ‘chitsol’)
칫솔 is a shortened slang for ‘angry pine tree’ (솔 - pronounce as; ‘sol’ - in this case stands for pine tree), while it also means toothbrush.
Q: What noise does the rubbish make while eating food?
A: 오물오물 (pronounce as; oh-mul oh-mul)
오물오물 is the Korean sound for munching on your food. It could also be translated to ‘munch munch’. The joke here is, that the Korean word for rubbish is actually 오물. It’s actually really funny once you hear Jin saying it here! :)
I’ve been re-listening to TAZ and am currently in the middle of The Eleventh Hour. Roswell is one of my fav NPCs. They’re a good chunk o’ clay. They are rapidly endearing. Actually a lot of the NPCs in The Eleventh Hour just immediately strike a cord as lovable IMO. It might be my favorite arc? Hard to pick honestly! I maybe should have given them one less stomach seam and a visible belt. Hm.
