Thank you! AND How about a cas x reader where cas has been in love with reader for ages but never acted on his feelings/urges because he’s an angel and it’s a sin for an angel to be with a human(it’s forbidden). The reader overheard cas confess his affection for her to the Winchester boys and she decides to seduce him because she’s always liked him too but felt he hated her(but he was just avoiding temptation). MBTI Types as Pick-Up Lines
  • INFJ: Can I follow you? Because my mom told me to follow my dreams.
  • ISFJ: When I’m older, I’ll look back at all of my crowning memories, and I’ll think of the day my children were born, the day I got married, and the day that I met you
  • ENFJ: I write your name in the sky but the clouds blow it away. I write your name in the sand but the waves wash it away. I write your name in my heart and forever it will stay.
  • ESFJ: Since we’ve been told to reduce waste these days, what you say we use these condoms in my pocket before they expire.
  • INTP: Dang girl, are you an appendix because I don't understand how you work but this feeling in my stomach makes me want to take you out.
  • ISTP: Hey boy, are you sleep? Cause I don't get nearly enough of you and it's ruining my social, emotional, and over all mental health.
  • ENTP: I was recently diagnosed with a rare disease called cryoaudiovascularia. It prohibits proper blood flow to the ears, causing them to slowly freeze and fall off, slowly spreading to the inner ear and finally to the brain. There is no known cure, except one. My ears need to be constantly warmed, and the only known material soft enough is the inner thighs of a pretty girl. So I need you to sit on my face for medical reasons.
  • ESTP: I bet I can kiss you on the lips without touching you. *kiss* Oh what a shame, it seems like I lost the bet.
  • INTJ: You look familiar, didn’t we take a class together? I could’ve sworn we had chemistry.
  • ISTJ: Most people like to watch the Superbowl cuz it only happens once a year, but I'd rather talk to you cause the chance of meeting someone like you only happens once in a lifetime.
  • ENTJ: I'm an army recruiter, and I was wondering if you wanted to come over to my place and "be all you can be."
  • ESTJ: You know how I got these guns? *points to biceps* Lifting children out of poverty.
  • INFP: I blog about you sometimes.
  • ISFP: Of all your beautiful curves, your smile is by far my favorite.
  • ENFP: Fascinating. I’ve been looking at your eyes all night long, ’cause I’ve never seen such dark eyes with so much light in them.
  • ESFP: Hi, will you help me find my lost puppy? I think he went into this cheap motel room across the street.
Star Spangled Man With A...

Avengers team x reader.

Warnings: swearing, violence, implied injury

First avengers fic please be nice

“Y/n can you come here please?” Natasha called from somewhere on this floor.

Where on this floor was a completely different matter.

“Where is ‘here’, Nat?” I called back, standing from my bedroom floor.

“My room,” she shouted. “I need your help with something,”

I stepped out of my room into the dark hallway, and stealthily made my way to Natasha’s room. just casually using my shadow abilities to blend in with the darkness and travel through the shadows to get to Natasha’s room faster.

“What do you need?” I leant on her door frame after stepping out of the shadows and watched as she awkwardly tried to assemble a step under her light. “What are you doing?”

“I’m trying to change the light bulb but someone’s taken the ladder and I’m small,” she huffed as she stacked another book onto the pile of crap in the middle of her room.

I felt someone walked behind me and saw Bucky and Steve headed down the hallway. I caught Steve by the arm, making him stop.

“Y’know Nat,” I said, dragging Steve into the room. “I can’t help you change your light, but the Star Spangled Man With A Plan Sure Can,”

I smiled like a goofus as they both stared at me and Bucky snorted before continuing down the hall giggling to himself.

“You’re so proud of your shitty jokes aren’t you?” Natasha laughed finally.

“Actually I’m just proud of getting that whole sentence out without fucking it up,” I grinned before skipping out of the room. and back into the darkness.

“You guys swear so much,” I heard Steve mutter.

The following night we’d all settled in the huge living room to hang out and watch a movie.

I couldn’t remember the name of the movie but it had dragons which was cool.

“Hey Tony,” I called across the room.

“Yeah?” he said through a mouthful of popcorn.

“Can you get a tanning bed for the tower?” I asked.

Natasha laughed and Sam choked on his drink at the randomness of my question.

“Y/n we go outside daily what the hell for?” Tony chuckled at me.

“I wanna force Steve into it so I can called him The Star Spangle Man With A Tan,” I said plainly, succeeding in holding in my laughter.

Clint clearly wasn’t trying as hard as me as he burst into a fit of giggles on the couch.

Bucky laughed and muttered something that sounded like “eat it Steve” But I couldn’t be sure.

Steve just shook his head turned the volume on the movie up.

The next day we went on a mission was the best I’d ever been on because Steve just kept finding himself in positions where I could take the piss.

The first was in the gym that morning we were working on an agility warm up game and Steve was explaining what he wanted us to do.

“First you’re going to run the beam while dodging swinging punching bags,” He pointed to one end of the room where that course was set up. “Then you have to make it over the sponge pit via the money bars and avoid being hit with a dodge ball, and then you will climb over the A frame, rescue the ‘civilian’ and carry them back down to safety all the while being attacked by ‘Villains’”

“What’s the catch?” I crossed my arms as I looked at the very easy course.

“You have to make it from here,” he gesture to the start of the track, and still keeping his first arm up he pointed to the end with the other. “To there in 30 seconds or less,”

I noticed he still had his arms both out pointing at each end of the course.

I nudged Natasha in the arm and chuckled.

“Star Spangled Man With A Wide Arm Span” I stifled my laugh through one hand while pointing at Steve with the other.

“Y/n your time limit is now 20 seconds,” Steve huffed before hitting the buzzer and Clint began running the course.

The Second time was when we were first out on our mission and some bad guys were fuckin shit up down-town with alien weapons.

A woman was cornered between some cars that had collided and a man with a very strange looking gun that blasted purple plasma rays.

I sank down into the shadow cast by the building I stood behind and traveled to the shadow under the cars behind the the man with the plasma gun.

Sliding out from under the car I kicked my leg out and brought him to the ground, elbowed him in the nose and took his gun.

While he lay squirming in pain on the ground I took the womans hand and began running as fast as I could drag her away from the man. Tossing the gun up to one of Tony’s uninhabited suits.

“Cap where are you?” I shouted into the coms.

“Be by your side in a second,” his voice rang in my ear. “Don’t move,”

I stopped running and withing second Steve landed on the hood of one of the bad guys cars right next to me and the woman, holding a couple more of the alien guns.

“Give me the guns,” I said. “I’ll take them to the suits,”

He tossed the guns to me and I squealed.

“DON’T THROW A PLASMA RAY AT SOMEONE YOU DOLT!” I shouted.

I secured my grip on the guns and turned to the woman.

“Hi are you okay?” I asked her. “I’m Shadow what’s your name?”

“I’m fine,” she said breathless, clearly ecstatic that she’d been saved by the avengers. “My name is Anne,”

“Ugh YES” I was suddenly so very happy.

The woman looked very confused.

“Star Spangled Man, Look After Anne,” I shouted as I shoved the woman into Caps arms and dove into another shadow before he could retaliate.

The last was when he was chasing a bad guy and was thrown back through the window of a bakery.

I fly kicked the bad guy into the wall and he slumped to the ground out cold.

“Cap you okay?” I called as I climbed through the shattered window frame to see a few customers helping him stand.

The owner of the bakery came around the counter with a pastry dish in her hands and gave it to me.

I mean we just smashed through the wall of her shop surely it’s not a thank you?

Cap and I exited the bakery and were met by Hawkeye and Black Widow looking at us.

“Whatcha got there?” Clint eyed the pastry dish in my hands.

It was now that I realised what it was. Immediately I handed it to Steve.

“The Star Spangled Man With A Fruit Flan,” I put my hands on my hips and grinned proudly so wide my eyes were squinted shut.

My happy streak didn’t last very long because something impacted with the top of my head and I was suddenly very cold.

And sticky.

I opened my eyes and wiped custard out of my eyes.

“Did you just dump a perfectly good fruit flan on my head?” I turned and growled at Steve.

“Dude we could’ve eaten that,” Clint whined.

Steve just smiled with pride that could have mirrored my own.

For the next week or so there was no joke I could have used at the right time so I just had to wait for the right opportunity.

One finally came along.

Cap and Black Widow were sent on a small mission and I was bored so I followed them in the shadows.

During a scuffle between Cap and one of the targets, Cap was thrown from a 2 story roof and smashed into the roof of a parked (and thankfully empty) minivan.

I immediately pulled out my phone and snapped an unflattering photo of the scene and sank back into the shadows and portalled home.

I sat waiting for their return in the living room ready to project my photo onto the largest screen in the room. As soon as the walked in I called all the other to join me.

“Guys, guys,” I was shaking with excitement.

“oh god what did you do?” Bucky sighed with a laugh as I hopped back and forth from one foot to the other.

“I snapped a really awesome photo,” I half squealed.

I clicked the button that projected what was on my phone to the tv screen and held my hands out in a presenting manner.

“Ta-daaa!” I smiled and looked around the room at the confused faces of my team.

“What exactly am I looking at?” Tony asked.

“It’s The Star Spangled Man In A Minivan,” I yelled happily.

“How did you even get that picture?” Steve looked astonished. “Did you follow us?”

“No that would be creepy,” I giggled before sinking into the shadow in the floor and traveling into the hallway.

“I don’t think anything will ever be as creepy as seeing a smiling chick sink into the floor,” I heard Clint shiver.

I woke up a few days later to F.R.I.D.A.Y telling my that I’d overslept and breakfast was being made in the kitchen where the others had already gathered.

I shot out of bed and ran out of my room, very annoyed at the well lit rooms and hallways that I could’t shadow travel through.

“Please be Steve, please be Steve,” I chanted to myself as I sprinted down the hallway and jogged on the spot in the elevator to the recreation floor.

I got a number of odd looks from the team who were all assembled around the breakfast table when I burst into the kitchen very short of breath.

Much to my joy, I was greeted by the beautiful sight of Steve frying bacon and eggs on the electric stove.

I failed to control my laboured breathing and huffed my way to the island bench, awkwardly posing on the edge of the counter with a smug grin.

“Y/n please don-” Steve looked so done but I cut him off.

“Star Spangled Man With A Pan,” I wheezed with a proud smile.

“Damnit!” Clint beat his fist down on the table, startling most of the team. “I’ve been trying to thinkof one for ages I can’t be;live I missed that,”

“Get your own joke Katniss,” I giggled, siting on the bar stool and winking at Steve.

“You’re not getting any bacon,” he grumbled and plated some for everyone but me.

“We both tried to grab at the last copy of that desired book at the same time and had a tug of war.” (from this post)

Sterek ficlet, T, ~1.6k words. Basically, I was going to just do a tiny little drabble as a warm-up for working on one of my WIPs, and then I was having too much fun with it to stop.

(Btw, if you couldn’t tell, I totally made up the book series in question. Any resemblance to any actual book is completely coincidental.)

It’s definitely some kind of torture that on the day the seventh and final Path of Wolves novel comes out, Stiles still has to go to school like it’s not the most important day of the year or anything.

And okay, so it’s not like anyone else in Beacon Hills has even heard of these books except Scott, and then only because Stiles can’t shut up about them, but still. Stiles spends the entire day practically vibrating out of his skin with the anticipation. He’s pretty sure he hasn’t taken in a word any of his teachers has said today. The only reason he doesn’t try to make a break for it during lunch is that he can’t afford another detention on his record, and even so, he’s still sorely, sorely tempted to risk it. In the end, he has to get Lydia to hide his car keys from him.

(He was going to ask Scott to do it, but Scott would have caved as soon as Stiles started begging, and Stiles is definitely not above begging, so Lydia it is.)

The instant the final bell rings, though, Stiles is out of there, flying across the parking lot and gunning the Jeep. The bookstore probably only ordered a few copies, and if Stiles isn’t holding one of them by the time he leaves, somebody’s about to get murdered.

Not that he actually expects any competition, but it’s better not to let these things go to chance. He already messed up once by procrastinating on pre-ordering until they were sold out; he didn’t think it was possible for a Path of Wolves novel to be sold out. He was wrong, and now he’s paying for it by having to physically go to the bookstore to get it.

Either Stiles vastly overestimated how many copies the store was going to order, or else he vastly underestimated how many people in Beacon Hills read these books, because when he skids to a stop in front of the New Releases shelf, there’s only one copy left. One beautiful, perfect hardcover copy.

Lucky for him, one copy is enough.

Except that when he grabs ahold of it, someone else does, too.

For a long second, Stiles can’t even believe what he’s seeing. Another hand, on his book. Another hand that’s not letting go, even though Stiles has already clearly and unambiguously grabbed it by the spine and isn’t letting go, either.

Stiles turns his head incredulously to get a look at this usurper, and it’s Derek Hale. As in, made-of-muscles, leather-wearing lacrosse captain Derek Hale.

Until this moment, Stiles wasn’t even sure Derek could read, and now he’s trying to steal Stiles’ obscure eight-hundred-page fantasy novel. What.

Warning: Smut, dirty talk

Word Count: 3100ish

A/N: This is all written with love for fan fic. I’m teasing, not putting it down in any way. Hope you enjoy! (Sorry, tag list is closed!) XOXO

The motel door opens quietly and you hear Dean shuffle in, his footsteps easy to recognize. You don’t move, body too exhausted to even roll over in bed and say hi.

Sam has to know that Dean comes to your room every night now. Actually, Dean just goes straight in with you now more often than not, leaving Sam to himself. You’ve never discussed it, but you suspect that Sam’s silence on the matter of you and Dean is his thank you for finally having some privacy on a regular basis.

Either way, you aren’t remotely surprised that Dean is here. You listen to boots being kicked off, a gun being placed on the night stand, and clothes being shuffled off. He’s down to his boxers when he slides beneath the covers.

“Lemme see.” You pushed your way to the window, picking up the heavy binoculars from the floor.

“Big guy. Army green coat, and black hat, northeast corner.”

Warnings: Language, mission/war related violence and gore, shooting, battle related injuries/casualties/mayhem

A/N:  My sincere apologies for how long this has taken.  I’ve been dealing with some personal things and, quite frankly, it took away all desire to write.  I hope you like this chapter, the photo with the shield later on in the story is actually the inspiration for the entire series.  So you can get inspiration from anywhere :)  I want to thank everyone who stuck around waiting and who has been so helpful and kind to me.  Also, I’m very excited to continue writing more chapters!  Thank you for your continued patience.

As always, feedback is always appreciated.  Please let me know how the ‘action’ plays out as I am always looking for ways to improve my storytelling.  Thanks!

Your face fell in horror, but you seemed to be the only one moving, the rest of the world seemed to be stuck in some sort of time lapse.  Bucky was still just crouching there, holding the boy, with that stupid, beautiful smile still plastered to his face, not yet seeing the danger, not yet registering your alarm.

No no no no no no NO!  Your mind was screaming the words as you tore your gaze away from the scene.  The man was getting closer.  NO!

You bolted forward, shoving the woman into the alley screaming for Bucky to run, ripping your vocal chords in the process. Your legs felt like they were trudging through molasses, like some force was pulling you back, weighing you down. And each step on the pavement felt like an elephant stomp making the ground shake.  But it was as if you weren’t moving any closer.  But you had to.  You had to.   Because what was about to happen could. not. happen.

Summary:  After a hunt goes awry, Dean and the reader spend the night together, but was it all a mistake?

A/N:  This is my first A/B/O fic, written for @dr-dean‘s A/B/O Challenge (Happy Birthday!!).  I’ve always wanted to write one of these, so thank you so much for breaking me out of my shell.  And thank you @notnaturalanahi, for getting me out of my funk and inspired to write this, not to mention betaing it for me.  The prompt was November Rain by Guns n’Roses (one of my favorite songs, by my favorite band.)  Written using @kittenofdoomage‘s A/B/O Rules.  It got a little too long, so I’m splitting it up into two parts.

The day you met Dean Winchester you knew he belonged to you.

It wasn’t the earth shattering electricity you’d heard True Bonds conveyed when mates touched.  It was in a smile, in a glance, in the warm, comforting knowledge that he was yours.  Just for you.

Since then, loving him had been as easy as breathing, but being with him was considerably harder.  If Dean had felt the call, he never showed it.  He worked beside you, treated you like family, but never made an advance.  And that was the true challenge of your situation, and the true burden of being an unmated Omega.

“I’ll have you know, I’m great company to most people,” Dean said, shaking you out of your thoughts.

You were shivering from head to toe, dragging your weapons along with you as your boots dug into the thick blanket of snow beneath you. You were pissed off, soaking wet, and you couldn’t feel most of your body. If your teeth weren’t chipped and cracked from slamming together so violently, you’d have to thank your bloodlines for your strong teeth genes.

Bucky followed beside you, guilt set on his features. You were done biting your tongue.

“You almost cost us the mission.” You said through chattering teeth, darting your eyes around the forest. There was nothing but snow falling, endless miles of large trees, and harsh winds biting at your already freezing skin.

Bucky sighed heavily beside you and adjusted his gun on his shoulder, his eyebrows creased. “Don’t you think I know that already?” He shot back, his eyes landing on your smaller and shorter frame. He frowned as he saw the light blue tint of your lips.

You swallowed thickly. “I know you do. I mean, who tries to shoot a suicide bomber? And pushes their teammate into a freezing pond?” You questioned loudly, your breath came out in a puff of fog in the freezing weather.

You looked up at Bucky, his hair was blowing in the wind, any other time it would’ve made you melt. That was hard when you were freezing your ass off. You could see a little bit of blood coming from his head, trickling down his cheek from a previous encounter with a guard.

“I didn’t know there was a bomb in his backpack, Y/N! I didn’t even see the pond; I was too focused on keeping you safe!” Bucky shouted back as he stopped walking. He felt bad for messing everything up, and he felt worse as he watched you hug yourself like you were about to turn to a frozen lump of flesh. Which you were.

You slowed down and turned to face Bucky. “We don’t need to stop. No thanks to you, the map is frozen solid in my back pocket and my comm is somewhere deep in the snow. Not to mention, I can’t feel most of my body.” You said lowly, keeping your gaze harsh and set on Bucky’s.

Bucky frowned and looking around the forest, hoping he’d spot a little cabin far away from here. Surely if there’s a HYDRA base not too far, there was an old hide out they used to lay low. Question is, would it be empty?

You shivered once again and tried to warm yourself up a little bit by rubbing your hands up and down your arms quickly. Letting out a frustrated sigh when your attempts failed, you continued walking. Bucky followed after you, the only sounds coming from either one of you were heavy breaths and the sound of crunching snow beneath your boots.

After another ten minutes of walking aimlessly around the forest, you happened upon a small cabin. You could hear Bucky’s sigh of relief and victory as you neared the area. “Stay back, I’m gonna check it out.” Bucky ordered, sliding his gun off of his shoulder and holding it up in front of him.

You rolled your eyes but stayed put, watching Bucky scope out the outside area before walking up the wooden steps to the front door. He peeked inside the glass oval design and moved away afterwards, turning the door knob. Seeing that it was frozen shut, he knocked his body against it and shoved it open.

You waited as patiently as you could while Bucky checked around the cabin, making sure it was free of danger. A sigh fell from your lips as you looked around you, taking in the place. It seemed quite peaceful and old. The sun was setting and you knew the temperature was going to drop even lower by nightfall.

Bucky’s body appeared at the front door and he motioned for you to come inside. You shivered still as you walked up the staircase, the faint smell of cedar filling your nostrils. You kicked the door shut as your eyes took in the interior. It was dusty and you could feel the heavy weight of old memories and human activity lingering in the air.

You pursed your lips and looked at Bucky. “It’ll work, but what are we supposed to do about the mission? Finding our way back home?” You questioned, sitting down on a chair near the door. You set your weapons down on the floor and watched Bucky slide his boots off, easily kicking them to the side.

He sighed heavily and slipped off his coat, hanging it on the dusty coat rack. “I don’t know, Y/N. What I do know is that you need a warm bath.” Bucky said as he bent down to help you take off your boots. You could barely feel the movement against you. Had you not been watching it, your brain wouldn’t have picked up the contact.

Bucky slid off your soaking wet sock and gasped as he saw the purple and blue tints of your foot, his flesh hand rubbing against you. “Y/N, I-” Bucky was speechless. He had no idea it was this bad. You gulped and worked on taking off your other boot, your cold hands shaking slightly. “Don’t worry about it.” You whispered, dropping your boot on the floor. Snow fell off it and melted onto the wooden floorboards.

If you didn’t get warm soon, you’d definitely lose a foot. You stood up on your feet and tried to walk, but since you couldn’t exactly feel them, you stumbled over, only to be caught by Bucky’s arms.

You gasped as you quickly looked up at him and breathed out. “Thanks. I’m-uh-I can’t walk.” You whispered, trying to get out of Bucky’s hold. He gently bent down and moved to pick you up bridal style, carrying you up the staircase. You would’ve objected and acted stubborn, forcing your body to move up the stairs.

But you stayed still, the warmth radiating off of Bucky’s body drew you in. His arms held you close and you could smell his sweat and iron from his small cut on his head. You didn’t mind it, you quite liked the way he smelled. Bucky smirked as he noticed you staring.

“It’s rude to stare, Y/N.” He murmured as he turned into the bathroom. You quickly looked away and were thankful your body was too cold for heat to rise into your cheeks. Bucky sat you down on the closed toilet and stood there awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck.

You watched as the gears in his brain shifted around, he couldn’t figure out how to word what he wanted to say. You caught on quickly as his eyes fell to your soaked pants. You tucked your lips between your teeth and nodded gently. “You can help me.” You said softly, again thanking your cheeks for not turning red.

Bucky sighed out and you unbuttoned your pants with numb fingers, finding it hard once you got to the zipper. “Here.” Bucky mumbled, sinking onto his knees in front of you. You watched his long, slender fingers pull your zipper down. His fingers moved to your sides and you lifted up enough for him to slide them down your legs.

You hissed as the slightly frozen material scratched at your skin. “Sorry, sorry, sorry.” Bucky whispered, chanting his apology until he pulled them over your feet. You settled on the toilet top and sighed shakily. “It’s f-f-ine.” You shivered again, feeling even colder, if that were possible.

Bucky stood up and dropped your pants down on the floor near his feet. You lifted your arms as Bucky peeled off your shirt and you gasped at the cool air, goosebumps burning your skin. “I didn’t mean to make you f-feel bad.” You whispered, folding your arms over your chest.

A sigh fell from Bucky’s lips as he turned to turn the tub on. Thankfully, the water still pumped. He felt the warm water kick in and flicked the droplets off his hand before turning back to you. “It’s okay. We’ll talk about it later.” Bucky said with a small smile.

You smiled back and reached for his hands. You held onto Bucky’s shoulders and his hands fiddled with your bra clasp before pulling away from you. You swallowed nervously and let your arms down, your bra sliding off your arms and to the floor. Bucky inhaled deeply and let his fingers glide down your sides before slipping them into the waistband of your panties. Pulling them off, you kicked them from your ankles.

“I-I need help getting in.” You whispered, staring down at your discolored, frozen feet. Bucky nodded and picked you up bridal style again before taking you over to the half full tub. He gently set you in and you gasped at the sudden warmness.

Bucky set you down and you sighed at the warm water, leaning back against the porcelain tub. You looked up at Bucky, keeping your arms over your chest. “Thank you.” You said with a small smile. Bucky scratched the back of his neck and nodded. “I’m gonna make up the bed and try to find some blankets.” He said lowly before taking his leave.

You relaxed in the warm water, and slowly but surely felt the numbness start to go away. Thoughts about Bucky came to your mind. You felt bad for how you snapped at him earlier, and you couldn’t help but realize how much you like him, even more than before. Your feelings started a few months after you were recruited.

It was rough at first; opening up to everyone. Then one night, Bucky found you on the roof of the tower, and you both talked about your pasts and they’re quite similar. You fell hard and fast for Bucky. It scared you. You weren’t sure how to deal with your feelings for him, because what if he didn’t feel the same way?

What if he did but wasn’t ready for that? It was selfish of you to want him to be, so you hid your feelings and let it go. But when Tony told you that you’d be going on a mission with Bucky, and only Bucky, you became anxious.

But rather than the mission going smoothly, you ended up here. It wasn’t Bucky’s fault and he was trying to help you, after all. You sighed and felt your body heat return, so you stood from the bath and drained it before getting out. You searched for a towel and found an old one under the sink cabinet.

You wrapped it around yourself and shivered once again at the chilly air as you left the bathroom. There was a light coming from a room at the end of the hallway, and you figured that was the bedroom Bucky was in. You approached the door and looked inside, watching Bucky make the bed. It didn’t look that disgusting, so you figured it would do. Nobody has been here for a long time.

Bucky looked up at the door and smiled when he saw you. You walked in and held the towel tightly around your body. “I couldn’t find any clothes, so I’ll let you use my shirt. If-if that’s okay with you?” Bucky cautiously asked, his eyes staying on yours.

You nodded and licked your lips, feeling the warmth in them again. “That’s fine. But, what about you?” You asked quietly. Bucky waved his hand at you and crossed around the bed to meet you. “I always sleep shirtless.” He said with a smile. His fingers hooked underneath the hem of his shirt and he pulled his over his head, mindful of his wound.

He gave you his shirt and left the room, letting you change. Quickly dropping your towel, you pulled Bucky’s shirt over your body, instantly catching a whiff of his deodorant and a hint of his cologne. You felt a little exposed without underwear on, even if his shirt was way past your mid-section, but you had no choice.

You walked out of the bedroom and went back to the bathroom, searching for anything to clean Bucky’s cut. You searched all of the drawers and came across some cleaning wipes and band-aids. You smiled and set them on the sink, turning to call out for Bucky.

“Bucky? Can you come here?” You called from the bathroom door, looking down the hallway. You could hear his footsteps rush up the staircase and his body emerge from the corner. He hurried over to you and looked you up and down. “What’s the matter?” He asked softly, reaching his hand out to your arm.

You smiled and pulled him inside of the bathroom. “You took care of me, so let me take care of you.” You said softly, moving him to sit on the toilet top. “Y/N, you don’t have to.” Bucky chuckled, watching you tear open a cleaning wipe and a band-aid. “I want to.” You said as you walked over to him.

Bucky sighed and nodded, his eyes falling to your figure in his shirt. His eyes fell to your legs and back up to your face. You couldn’t hide the blush anymore, but you still ignored it. You gently moved Bucky’s hair off of his forehead and gently wiped away the dried blood.

You were focused on his wound, but still noticed Bucky’s eyes staring intently on yours. A smirk formed on your lips and you grabbed the band-aid, tearing off the seals and gently putting it over the cut.

“It’s rude to stare, Bucky.” You said with a smile. Bucky cleared his throat and took a deep, shaky breath. “Sorry. Let’s get to bed.” He said lowly, standing from his seat. You nodded and walked beside Bucky to the bedroom. It was still pretty chilly and you shivered lightly, holding your arms to your chest.

You pulled the blankets back on your side and saw Bucky pick up a pillow. “What are you doing?” You asked, getting into the bed. Bucky looked at you with raised eyebrows. “Oh, I was gonna sleep on the couch downstairs.” He said bashfully, his hair falling to frame his face. “You can sleep here, there’s enough room.” You said, patting the spot next to you.

Bucky chuckled softly and tossed the pillow back down. He slipped into bed and you lied down on your back, sighing softly. The room was silent for a few moments and you noticed it was finally dark outside. You could hear the wind blowing harshly against the cabin and it made you shiver again.

“Are you still cold?” Bucky questioned, leaning up on his elbow. He looked over at you and you nodded. “Yeah, I’ll be okay though.” You whispered, pulling the blankets up to your shoulders.

“I’m not gonna let you freeze, Doll.” Bucky reached his arm over to you, letting it slither around your waist. You gasped as he pulled you to his body and your arms were the only thing blocking your chests from being pressed together. Bucky’s skin was warm and you sighed at the feeling of it.

You blushed again and snuggled closer into Bucky’s chest. “I’m sorry.” You whispered, staring at Bucky’s chin. He smiled and you felt his thumb trace circles on your side. “If I had to be stuck in the middle of nowhere again, in a miracle cabin, I’d want it to be you.” He whispered, pressing his lips against your forehead.

Your heart fluttered in your chest and you lifted your head up to look at Bucky. His eyes met yours and your reached your hand up to rest on his cheek. His stubble tickled your palm and you saw the corner of his lips twitch, a smile threatening to spread across his plump lips.

Your eyes traveled along his face and you leaned closer, looking up into his eyes, asking for permission. Bucky smiled just before closing the distance between your lips. You hummed against him and his hand pulled you onto him as he turned onto his back.

Bucky’s hands squeezed your waist and you deepened the kiss, letting your hands tangle into his hair. Bucky’s arms circled over your back, keeping you tight against his chest. His tongue poked out against your bottom lip and you opened your mouth, meeting your tongue with his, easily being dominated by his.

You both pulled away for air after a few moments and you giggled, hiding your face in Bucky’s neck. “It was worth it.” You said through your giggles. “What was?” Bucky questioned softly, his hands squeezing your sides. “Being pushed into a freezing cold pond.” You replied, sighing as you made yourself comfortable on his chest.

Bucky chuckled again and cradled your head with his metal hand. “I’m sorry about that.” Bucky said, kissing your head. You shrugged gently and smiled.

“Like I said…worth it.”

Better off with you watching over me (Jason Todd x Reader)

A/N: Okay so I finally finished this… at uni in the library. You’re all a bad influence on me. I had a hard time figuring out how graphic to go with this so hope this is what you were looking for? Anyway, here ya go anon ;)

You were staring outside the window again. It was dark outside. Apart from some outlines and dim lighting you didn’t see anything, you just heard the rain ticking on the window and the warmth of a blanket around you. You gritted your teeth as you were trying very hard not to think of the million things that could be going wrong with Jason right now. After his death he had become more reckless… and you were scared you weren’t going to get him back again if something… happened. You shook your head as you tried your damn best to ban those ideas out of your head. They were no good now and they never would be. It was part of the deal to grid and bear it. You grabbed your laptop and dropped yourself in his couch. Not quite as luxurious as his room at Bruce’s place, but more… anonymous somehow. It felt good to be alone together but at moments like these the place just felt desolate.

You opened your laptop and glanced at the time. 2 am. Damnit, you were lucky you didn’t have anywhere to be the next morning. Not that you wouldn’t be there if you had. You had just had one of those days where you couldn’t get him off of your mind. You sensed something was off, usually when this happened he came back more torn up than usual. You glanced over at the bandages and the disinfectant you put ready. “Jason where the hell are you even at.” You murmured. You checked some texts online, they were interesting enough but not to the extent they banned the worry that clung to you like wet clothes. You decided laying down was an option and started to dose off when you heard someone enter the door and closing it behind him. You opened your eyes. Not sure what you expected to see.

“ Jay… please tell me you’re still alive.”
“ Well, I’m technically undead.” You opened your eyes and saw him standing there in the doorway. Suprisingly, he didn’t seem too badly hurt. Some cuts and bruises at most. Nothing he wouldn’t have been able to easily fix himself. He flung his leather jacket in the general direction of a chair where It flung over the back support.
“ An ungodly hour for a booty call. What the fuck are you doing here at this time?” He asked, sounding tired and utterly done with the world in and of itself.
“ I wanted to check up on you. What happened?”
“ You’re better off not knowing.” He grunted. He looked frustrated and something you could not define as easily.
“ Bad day at work, huh?”
“ Doesn’t begin to cover it.” He walked over to you and you noticed something was really, really wrong this time. “ Jason what happened.” He sighed and sat next to you, legs spread and taking up a lot of space in the couch.
“ I stopped some jackass from killing a woman. “
“ That seems like a good thing to me.”
“ Not the first victim. And she’s alive, but in a coma. Fuck, she looked like you. Same… hair and build.“ You arched your eyebrows.
“ Did you think she was me?”
“ Of course not, I’d recognize your ass anywhere.” He grinned but it wasn’t genuine.
“ Jay.” You were pleading with him not to joke about this for once. He always did this.
“ No. But it served as a reminder. Being with you puts you in the line of fire. I made a fair share of enemies, maybe she was supposed to remind me of you. They could have found out I’m not entirely on my own. Maybe you should… steer clear for a while.” He started to take off his clothes, revealing some cuts and bruises but once again nothing he couldn’t handle himself.

“ I know for a fact you’re not self-conscious about how you look so how exactly do you intend to persuade me if you’re gonna run around shirtless?”  That earned you a smile. You followed him into the bathroom as he ran some water of the shower already. He used with hot water, and it took some time for the thing to heat up. He got under the water but you knew he could still hear you and vice versa.

“ I’m serious, y/n.”
“ About the being without me for a while… Indefinitely you mean? You’re never gonna stop being who you are, doing what you do. I ain’t going anywhere. I know the risks and the code to the gun safe.” He looked at you proudly through strands of hair stuck to his face.
“ My little rascal. No, just until I know for sure he wasn’t working for someone or a copycat.”
“ Not a chance that I’m staying away from you Jason. If I’m not around you get even more trigger-happy out there.”
“ How’d you know?”
“ I just do.”

He didn’t even try to contend your statement. This wasn’t a first, but last time you had a massive fight over it. He seemed almost too calm now, concerned rather than pissed off because you wouldn’t listen to his suggestion of steering clear from him. Like he didn’t expect anything else from you at this point. You decided to just let him shower and looked at him. Damn, he looked good, almost unreal. The most attractive zombie you’d ever seen. When he was drying off he looked at you again, with the torn expression he had before.
You walked over to him and noticed he kept his hands off of you, not even pulling you into a hug. Considering just how physical he usually was, you couldn’t see that as a good sign.
“ Jason, mind telling me why you’re not even touching me?” No response. “Hey, look at me. You’re not going to lose me. I’d crawl my way out of the grave to be with you too”
He looked at you with a sense of guilt in his eyes somehow. “ You might not get so lucky.”

You clung to him, head on his still on his bare chest, and felt his hands slip around you as well. He pulled you close, first carefully as if you’d break then the way you were used to. Old habits die hard.

“ I’d lose my goddamn mind without you. “ he practically whispered against your hair.
“ I’m afraid you’re beyond that point anyway Jay. “ The fact that he didn’t come up with a quip to counter yours showed just how haunted he was by the thought of losing you. When you backed up a little you noticed the trail a tear left on his cheek. Jason didn’t do bawling, barely did crying, so that meant that it got to him. Damnit.

“ You’d save or avenge me.” He cringed at the word avenge, thinking of what that implied.
“ I love you. I’d rather not have to avenge you.” He said, in a surprisingly clear voice.
“ I know. But I’m dating you of all people. They’d only come after me if they had a death wish.”
“ Some of ‘em do. Hell, most of them do. What have I got to fucking offer you anyway? You’ve got a life, I’m spending my nights hunting monsters down. And I can’t get the damn image of that woman out of my head, but then as you. “
“ Then we have to replace it with another image. Of a very, very alive and safe me.”
You grabbed his hand and lead him to the bed while unzipping your cardigan.  At first he seemed frozen in place but he caved quickly when he saw the look in your eyes, that you weren’t just doing this in an attempt to make him feel less like shit.

Before you knew it he had helped you out of the rest of your clothes as well and you ended up underneath the sheets. His touch, his body felt warm against your skin, that hadn’t changed since the Lazarus pit. He was still hot-blooded in personality and sheer body heat. And you still reveled in both. His kisses were greedy, desperate, like this was the last chance he’d ever get to be with you. You pushed him away but he started kissing your neck.
“ Jay, not that I’m complaining but…” “ Shhh, unless you’re about to tell me what you want just stop thinking.”  He found a particularly sensitive spot on your neck.
“ Fuck you’re good at this.”
“ You’re still looking at me as if you’re saying goodbye somehow. Like you’re trying to get the image of me in your head.” By now you could read the man like a book.
He wanted to get back to your neck but you shoved him off of you and got on top of him.
“ Jay, I’m not going anywhere. And I’m gonna be in more harm’s way if I try to track you down after you decided to move. And we both know I’ll do it. I won’t deal with you being stripped from my life again.” He sighed, still staring at you. He felt his way up from your tighs to your side to your breasts where he lingered before moving to your arms and shoulders when you leaned forward a little, supporting on your arms. You couldn’t help but lean in to his touch. Didn’t help your resistance that he looked at you with a look of amazement in his eyes. As if he couldn’t believe you were even real.
“ You’re the most beautiful creature I’ve ever seen. “

“ Flattery isn’t gonna get you off the hook, Jason. Promise me you won’t leave.”
He gritted his teeth, looking you in the eyes again. He pushed your arms from under you, landing your upper body on top of him. “ You really gotta learn to shut up from time to time.” He knotted his fingers in your hair and and kissed you, deepening the kiss and making you get lost in it again. He gently put you on your back again and caressed your body and traced butterfly kisses from your collar bone down to your stomach where he lingered for a little while.
When he wasn’t kissing you somewhere the sense of panic of him leaving crept up on you again.
“ ‘C mon Jason. I’m better off with you watching over me.”
He tried to get lower but you put stopped him with your knees, he looked at you with amusement.
“ Babe, we both know you can’t stop me.”
“ We both you know you wouldn’t do anything if I didn’t want you to.” He sighed.
“ I’m just trying to keep you alive.”
“ Then stay. Promise me. “ He got off of you and rolled over to his side of the bed.
“ Can’t.”
You sighed. “You get a week, I’ll work from here for the time being. This place is surprisingly well secured and I got taught how to use a gun by you. I’ll wear a bulletproof vest whenever you’re away. And then we drop this. Deal?” He ran his hand through his still wet hair, seeming to convince himself to go. You put your hand on his abdomen and kissed him, up his body, properly, not lightly.
“ Besides…” You got to his lips and pressed your body against his as well as you could. “ How long can you really go without this? ”
“ Fucking hell, fine.” He grabbed you from the back of your head and kissed you greedily again, this time just with the familiar fire that seemed to be running through his veins. He grabbed a condom and got on top of you again. “ If you want me to I can first…”
“ No. I’ve waited long enough.” He grinned and placed the palm of his hand on your chest while he went down on you. After he had you gasping for air almost making you come, you managed to bring out “ You’re fucking evil Jason.”
“ No, but I am about to…” He got in you. “ fuck you though.”
Smooth.”
“ Always.” He kissed you again, hard, and as you felt him moving with you. After you came together, he whispered in your ear. “ I love you. So much it hurts to know how much danger it puts you in.”
You kissed his shoulder.
“ Imagine what it’s like being me then. At least I’m not hunting down the scum of the earth.”
“ Just Gotham.”
“ Cause that’s reassuring.”
He laughed, and you could tell he wasn’t faking it. “ You’re glorious. In every way. Looks, personality,.. what the fuck did I ever do to get you?”
“ Come back from the dead? I mean, I seem to have a thing for zombies? “
“ Really, got a history do you?”
“ Nooo… just one. But hey, when you got your hands on the hot one.” He brushed some hair out of your face.
“ I adore you.”
“ Likewise. “
He seemed happy again, demons driven away. At least for a while. But regardless of whether he wanted you to or not; you would be there to do so whenever he needed you to.
Because you needed nights like these at least as much.

Crush (Jason Todd x Reader)

Summary: Bruce is a dick and Jason storms away. You are the only one following him.

Warnings: eh, light smut? You make out, basically it’s nothing, slight angst

Note: (Y/A) = your alias

“We have to–”

“No!”

Jason tried to help. He just wanted to help, but Bruce pretended he had just killed someone, what he didn’t, like Jason’s judgment was not good enough to be considered.

“He will escape!”

“You are not part of the team anymore, Red Hood. Stand down!”

This felt like a punch right in the gut. Jason stood there, looking at Bruce who turned to Dick, what made Jason’s throat tighten even more. The world around him blurred and his heart ached with pain and rage.

You watched him. Suddenly the bat on your chest burned and you wanted to rip it off, throw it to the ground and quit.
You stepped forward, searching for words that were pouring from your brain and disappear. You couldn’t understand how Bruce didn’t notice how much it hurt Jason, the uncontrollable anger that rose and was about to spill out of him.

Jason’s jaw tensed. Fine, he thought and just ran. He ran and jumped from roof to roof, not checking if it was safe. No one cared about him anyway, right? He was alone in this city, in this world.
Alone in death. Alone in life.
Would they even notice if he’d die, again.
Probably not.

“No one wants to go after him?!” You shouted at everyone, but mostly Bruce. He gave you a quick levelled look and it pushed you over the edge. “You’re an extra asshole today, Bruce. Screw you.” And with that you followed Jason.

You thought Jason was funny, you didn’t know him well, though and yes, you had developed this little crush on him, but this now was something else.
This was anger and fear.
Anger about Bruce’s behavior and fear that one day he might treated you just like Jason today.
And you never wanted to witness that.

Jason was a few feet ahead of you now. “Jason, stop!” You yelled, but he ignored you, pushing even harder. You look ahead of him and a wave of panic broke free. “STOP!” You knew he wouldn’t make that jump and you were sure he knew that too what made it even sadder.

You acted swiftly, reaching for your grappling gun.
You shot and made it pull you what gave you speed.
Jason jumped, but you just made it in time to grab his arm, swinging the two of you in a half circles and crashing into the sixth floor of some office building.

You laid beside him in the sharp pieces of shattered glass. Your cheek was cut open, blood dripping down to your jaw.

“What the hell is wrong with you?!” He growled. Jason was holding his upper arm, trying to rub the dull pain from landing away.

You scoffed. “With me? You were jumping… jump– jumping into death!” You wanted to sugar coat it, but were at a loss of words once more. He didn’t, right? He wouldn’t just want to die again?

“And?” Jason laid his head down, mask facing the ceiling. “My decision.”

“Thought since you knew how it is to die you tried to avoid doing it again.” You mumbled indignant. It just frustrated you.

“I don’t have to talk to you,” he said angrily and got up.

“Thank you, (Y/N). Thank you for being the only one coming after me.” You mimicked his voice before talking in your own tone. “No biggie, Jason. Bruce was a real dick. I really like you and if you ever need company just give me a ring. You are not alone, dude.”

He was stopping right at the edge of the window and his head turned slightly.
You wondered if he was crying under the helmet.

“You’re a good liar.”

“You are bad at spotting lies then, because non of this was a lie.”

He stomped past you. His lethal body now towering over you, making your heart race. You wanted to see his eyes so bad in this moment.

“You hate me just as much as everyone else does, don’t pretend.” He hissed.

You laughed inauthentic, almost sarcastically. “That’s what you think?” You narrowed your eyes at him. “I didn’t know you were so desperate for approval.”

Now he was the one laughing inauthentic, almost sarcastically.
You were standing there, daring at each other as if at any second you would kill one another.

You were the first to move, taking a deep breath.
Jason watched your face soften and body relax almost as if he had defeated you and it didn’t make sense to him.

“I don’t hate you, Jason. I hate that I like you.” You paused. “Like in like like. I’m not good with feelings, you know.” You shrugged.

He tore his helmet off his face. His brows were pulled into a tight frown. His eyes made your insides tingle, but they were so full of question. “What?”

“Yeah.” You raised your hands innocently. “C'mon, don’t tell me your self-esteem is so damaged you don’t believe someone has a crush on you.”

He didn’t even blink.

You got more serious now. “I mean, that’s not why I ran after you. Bru–”

His lips shut you up. Soft, warm lips moved against yours, sweet and tenderly asking for permission. One of his hands slipped from your shoulder to your neck and the other one had took a hold of your chin, tugging it up slightly.
You straightened up and stepped towards him. You pulled him closer by his leather jacket before your hand dipped into his dark hair and wrapped around the hot skin of his neck.
The ground underneath your feet shook so blissfully, making both your knees weak.

Each others lips were the best things you two have ever tasted, sweeter than honey and you wanted more; you couldn’t get enough.
Jason’s lips were making your head spin and yours made him forget about all the shit floating in his head for once.
It was an instant addiction. You craved more from one another.

His hands travelled down your sides, slowly, leaving your skin warm and charged with electricity that made you shiver.
All this stupid body amour in the way.
You jump and wrapped your legs around him. Jason carried you to one of the desk that were standing around. The shattered glass creaked underneath his boots.

You trailed kisses along his jawline. Tiny gasps sneaked over his lips as you bit the skin on his neck just so lightly.
It sounded more melodic than music to you.
Jason tugged on your hair. You breathed in sharply and found his eyes which gleamed with passion and lust, seeming three shades darker.

He laid his forehead to yours while his hands held your thighs, rubbing tiny patterns. “Not here.” He whispered, breathing heavily. “We deserve better.” He looked around and a small grin tugged on his lips.

You nodded and he leaned back in, kissing you for some more moment before grabbing his helmet and putting it on. It was so hard to pull away, to not rip each others amour off right there.

You two stood at the edge now, trying to figure out where you were.
He was holding your hand almost as if he was scared you’d vanish or be ripped away from him if he didn’t.

“I think my apartment is close,” he said. “But this hotel is closer. I mean, would be quite funny to just walk in as (Y/A) and Red Hood.” He shrugged. “I already see the article in Gotham Gossip.” His eyes scrutinized your face and he smiled seeing how flushed you were.
He didn’t feel alone.

“That be a real punch in the face for them. They always try to make me and Dick work.” You picked your grappling gun up, handing it to him.

“I don’t ship that.” He pulled you close and aimed at the nearest roof. You laughed while being dragged through the air. He let go of you as your feet touched the roof and you ran jumping to another one as a voice echoed in your ears.

“Red Hood, (Y/A), you copy?”

Jason stopped and you crashed into him. He kept his hands around you. You shook your head, looking up at the red helmet.

“We can’t just– I didn’t know you were so bitter, (Y/N).” The smirk on his lips was audible.

“I’m not bitter, I just have a million other things on my mind now and every single one is you.”

“I– Same, but we have to.”

You narrowed your eyes at him and smile warmly. “You’re too pure, Jason.”

“We–” He was searching for the right words, how to phrase what he wanted to say best. “We have time, right?”

You get on your tiptoes and kiss the helmet where his mouth was supposed to be. This wasn’t just lust. There was so much more beneath the lust and longing. “Right,” you said, smiling foolishly.

“We copy, Batman. Sup?”

While writing this, this scenario of someone trying to hug Jason and his chest taser is still on, popped up in my mind and made me laugh real hard.
Also, I guess I’ll do a part two. » part two is up

I woke up feeling completely spent. The memories of that night came crashing down on me, making me relive the anxiety and fear that rushed all over my body as that man pointed the gun at me. I closed my eyes and took deep breaths. Tears pricked the corners of my eyes when my thoughts flashed to my masked hero.

Spider-Man.

The warm hand that comforted me while I broke down. The softness of his voice when he made sure that I was alright. The way I felt more at ease talking to him than I did with people I actually knew.

My heart raced fast again but not from fear but because of… something else.

tea for two... (1/1)

“you’ve been camping in a crappy tent next to my really comfortable caravan/motor home and it’s been raining cats and dogs for ages, do you want to come in and have a cup of tea to warm up?” (5000 words, rated M) AO3

Setting her Kindle down on her chest for the third time in ten minutes, she covers her eyes with her palms and tries to shake away the thought that keeps creeping past her well-constructed rules. Rules that don’t allow welcoming strange men into her camper. Rules that don’t care about the flash flood warning that keeps popping up on her phone and definitely don’t care that his tent is at the bottom of a hill. Sure, he’s seemed relatively harmless the few times they’ve crossed paths, twice at the showers and once down at the lake. His smile had been friendly each time, mildly flirtatious and devastatingly sexy, but not smarmy and he’d left her alone. A casual wave is as much as she’d gotten, one that she’d returned without thinking. She’d seen him sitting at his campfire the night before, seemingly transfixed to the flames as if lost in thought, or memories maybe, but that had just been her spinning tales as she’d gazed upon his fire-lit profile. Even after the logs were little more than ash, he’d stayed there, waiting until the last ember floated away on the breeze before turning in for the night. She can admit to herself that there’s something about him that intrigues her, his confidence in his solitude, perhaps, something she knows a bit about herself.

So why is she lying here fighting an urge to save him? Who says he even needs, or wants, to be saved?

Frustration has her shucking the covers from her legs so she can stand and pace up and down the narrow walkway between her bunk and the kitchenette. Each time she passes the small window she pauses for a longer look, the rain pelting the window obscuring the view the faint glow of a lantern illuminating his tent from the inside. Eventually, she just stops and stares, waiting to see if she will see his shadow move past the light. When she does, it’s like a flip gets switched and a decision she doesn’t remember making is already made and she’s shoving her feet into her hiking boots and fumbling her head through the hole of her $3.00 rain poncho.

Her jeans and face are soaked almost immediately after stepping outside. Curses fly from her lips as her boots sink into unseen puddles of mud and she nearly topples down the hill, her hand grabbing a nearby tree catching her fall. By the time she’s reached the side of his tent she’s convinced this was the dumbest idea she’s ever had. It’s only seeing the shadow of him standing and moving to the entrance that stops her from turning around and heading back up the hill.

A dark head of hair emerges from the zipper, one hand shielding eyes she knows are the brightest of blue from the unrelenting rain

“Everything alright, love?”

Bristling slightly at the endearment, she aims her flashlight pointedly at the puddle overflowing into the opening of his tent.

“You seem to be taking on water there, Captain.”

Work it Out

Bucky x Reader

Summary: after pulling a muscle on a mission, you need to stretch out your leg while working out. But you need help to do so. There’s only one person around to help.

Word Count: 2595 (I got carried away!)

Warnings: language + references to smut + angst

A/N: I have so much unfinished hw and I’m writing a fanfic. honestly I should just drop out I can’t anymore w school. anyway, enjoy 💛

“That bad?” Wanda says, chuckling breathlessly. I shake my head. A familiar pain strikes through my thigh and I wince. Wanda looks at me in concern. “Stop.” she says. I look at her for a moment, almost limping on the treadmill, before pressing the “Stop” button and letting the conveyer belt slow to a halt. She finishes her own as well, wiping the sheet of sweat off her forehead.

“He literally ate his rice with his hands.” I sigh. Wanda raises her eyebrows. “I don’t know when the dating pool shrunk to all the losers.” I shake my head.

“Well, don’t take it out in your workout.” she says. “At least not until your muscle has healed.” I roll my eyes. “Doctor’s orders!” she says impatiently. I stick my tongue out at her and she smiles. “Well, I’m done anyway. Tony organized a dinner.” I tilt my head.

“Tony did something nice? What’s the catch?” I say. She shrugs.

“I think Pepper kinda forced him to. He said something about bonding, and I knew there was no way he had decided to do this on his own account.” I smile, shaking my head. “I’m gonna go clean up. Make sure to be down by seven.” I nod and bid her farewell. “And please take it easy on the workout.” she says, exiting the gym.

I bite my lip and turn around, looking for the next thing to do. After a moment, I decide to work on my combat by the punching bags. I cover my hands first so I don’t hurt myself, then begin punching at the sand bag, grunting with each blow. I use my left leg to kick, keeping use of my right minimal, like my doctor said to. My elbows strike the bag over and over, letting out my pent up anger. My stupid muscle was keeping me from going on the missions. I’m stuck in the compound and the best thing I can do is watch Netflix. I’m dead weight until my leg heals, and there’s no telling when that will be. My mind goes back to the first time I had to sit out on an assignment, five days ago.

We were about to leave for a mission, practically walking out the door as we finished gearing up. It had been a day since my doctor told me I hurt my leg. I was limping slightly, as the pain had turned into a dull ache. I pull on my jacket and look around at my teammates. Everyone is preparing, tucking guns into their jeans, putting in earpieces. I notice Bucky looking at me for a moment, but I don’t give it any notice, because he soon calls Steve over to him. I return to my prep, sliding a small dagger into my boot. I turn around, ready to leave, and nearly crash straight into a chest. My feet stumbled back and my eyes meet Steve’s concerned ones.

“What?” I say, furrowing my eyebrows. He folds his arms and looks down at my leg.

“I think you should maybe sit this one out, Y/N.” he says firmly. I stare at him incredulously.

“What?” I say, shaking my head. “No, I’m fine, Steve. I can handle myself.” He purses his lips.

“And if you can’t?” I tilt my head at him.

“I’m trained, Steve. I can handle a leg.” I say, looking at him stubbornly.

“I can’t risk you getting caught out there. You know they’ll take advantage of any of our weaknesses.” I step back.

“I’m a weakness?” I ask. He shakes his head.

“You know that’s not what I meant. I don’t want you to get hurt.” I exhale sharply, looking around at everyone else. Nat’s lips are pursed, looking at me identically to the way Steve is. Everyone has stopped what they’re doing to tune into the conversation, looking at me like I’m a child. Everyone except Bucky.

“You gotta be kidding me.” I say, setting my gaze on each one of them.

“He’s right, Y/N.” Tony says, his voice muffled by his suit. “It won’t help anyone if your leg acts up and you fall on your ass. That’s bad enough, now add the responsibility of innocents and the threat of HYDRA.” My nose flares, because I know they’re right. I silently throw off my jacket and limp back to the elevator.

“Y/N!” someone yells from behind me. I snap out of my thoughts and stop beating the bag in front of me, turning around. Bucky is standing by the Dumbbells, concern obvious on his face. “Are you alright?” he says. I breathe heavily and look down at my wrapped feet, wondering how long he was calling me for.

“Fine.” I mutter, turning back to the punching bag. I feel his eyes burning into the back of my head and huff. Great, I think, now I can’t concentrate. I straighten my posture and swallow, still knowing that he’s watching me. Ignore, ignore, ignore. I begin punching again, trying to keep from making any grunts of effort. I’m back into a routine, this time not out of anger, but out of genuine focus. I’m in the zone, pretending to deface a HYDRA junkie, making him call for his mom. I get too excited, because I jump up and do a 360, sticking out my leg—my right leg—to kick in midair. My hamstring protests, causing a jolting pierce to run up my leg. I yelp and fall to the ground, landing on my knee. “Shit.” I mutter. From the other side of the gym, I hear something falls and footsteps approach.

“Y/N?” Bucky says. “What’s wrong?” I wince and pull my legs out from underneath me, laying them out,

“Uh, hurt my leg.” I groan. His brows furrow in worry.

“How bad?” he says, his eyes darting around my leg. He sits down on his knees beside me, his hands frozen in the air, unsure of where to go.

“Think I disturbed the healing or something. Doctor kind of expected it to happen, considering I work in combat.” I sigh, the pain not subsiding.

“What can I do?” Bucky says hesitantly. There is already a polite decline leaving my mouth when I cut myself off. Shit. My face visibly shows me cringing at the words I have to say.

“Uh… My doctor said to do an exercise.” I mumble, looking down at my lap.

“What is it?” Bucky says. I sigh and run my hand over my face.

“I have to lie down and keep my legs straight, and, uh, another person has to lift my leg up really slowly and to stop when it starts to hurt. And, um, keep doing that until I can get my leg to a 90 degree angle.“ I breathe. Bucky itches the back of his neck. “You don’t have to—”

“No, it’s fine. I’m not just gonna leave you here.” he says. I keep from gritting my teeth. I kinda wish you would. It would save an incredible amount of awkwardness.

“Um. Ok.” My face turns hot as I lie down on my back with my hands at my sides. Bucky shuffles over, still sitting on the ground.

“Right leg?” he asks. I nod, watching my chest rise and fall. He gets up and leans down, taking my ankle in his hands. My breath nearly hitches at the contrast of his cold metal hand and his humanly warm flesh one. It makes goosebumps rise on my entire body. His eyes meet mine as he stands back up slowly, taking my leg with him. I internally throw profanities at myself for deciding to wear gym shorts. What’s wrong with sweats, huh? “Tell me when it hurts.” Bucky says quietly. I bite down nervously on my bottom lip. He slowly lifts my leg up, the movement of his fingers on my skin making my legs clench, which is infuriating because it makes my thigh hurt. Every move he makes, I can feel it like I’m watching it. But all I can see is my own chest and most of Bucky’s face. He looks right at me, watching for any sign of pain. Once my leg has reached the same height as wear I imagine his belly button would be, I wince and bend my knee for a split second. Bucky re-straightens it, skimming his flesh hand to my kneecap and gently pushing it down. He kneels back to the floor and sets my leg on the ground without letting go of it. He rises again, slowly, making his way back up. My fingers are digging into the mat underneath me, begging for this to be over before I do something stupid. I try to stare up at the ceiling, but it’s so difficult when I know I could be staring to his marble-like eyes instead. And that’s precisely what I do. My leg reaches his chest before the back of my thigh stretches painfully. I narrow my eyes and breathe in sharply.

“Um, it hurts.” I whisper. He stops and proceeds to repeat the protocol, kneeling and rising. The only times my eyes leave his are when they disappear behind my chest, setting my ankle down. The process repeats four more times, dead silence consuming the gym. The only sounds are my erratically beating heart, my murmurs telling him that my leg hurts, and my foot gently touching the floor. On the last time, my leg is nearly there, and when he takes a step closer to me to reach my leg easier, I nearly stop breathing. He’s towering over me, his orbs staring at me softly. He smiles slightly.

“There we go.” he says. I look at my leg and realize that it’s reached the 90 degree angle. I open my mouth, then close it. His hands roam down the back of my shin as he backs up and lays my limb back on the floor, reaching an arm out to help me up. I slowly lift my hand and take his flesh one, letting him haul me off the ground. We’re standing unbearably close, is hand on my forearm.

“Thank you.” I whisper, looking down. He nods his head and slides his hand back the way it came, down my wrist, through my hand, lightly applying pressure on my fingertips before stepping away. I take a long breath in before beginning to walk. I don’t let the breath out until I’ve safely reached my room, locking it and collapsing onto my bed.

I only have about twenty minutes to get ready for dinner, so I take an impossibly quick shower—desperately trying to wash away the tingling on my right leg— and change into a pair of dark skinny jeans and a cream colored blouse. I brush my hair and leave it down to air dry, as I don’t have time to do it. I get out of my room just in time and head down the lounge. It’s modern and sleek with grey couches and smooth wooden floors. On the other end of the room, there’s a mountain of food neatly placed on the board glass dining table. The food is surrounded by empty dinner plates and cutlery. The rest of the team have just made it, talking to one another and taking their seats. I can’t help but smile. As much as I hate to admit it, I don’t blame them for keeping me off the missions. I feel grateful that they care about me enough to put my safety before the given assignment. Nat notices me standing at the entrance of the room and smiles, gesturing for me to approach. I do, greeting everyone in a friendly manner as I take a seat between Sam and Clint, breathing in the sweet scent of fresh food and laying a towel out on my lap. Most of it hasn’t been uncovered yet, still blanketed with a silverware dome. Chatter echoes around the table, but I stay silent, watching the plates being uncovered by outstretched hands, taking in the sight. Rice, ribs, steak, pasta. Every dinner food I can think of is stretched out on the table. I feel someone tap me on the shoulder. I look over to Sam, whose looking at me mischievously. I narrow my eyes. “What?” I ask testingly. He smiles and props his cheek on his knuckles.

“I saw quite the sight earlier.” he says quietly. My eyebrows knit into a confused frown. “I saw you,” he pauses, “gettin’ all touchy with Barnes in the gym.” My eyes widen. I hear an irritating clink behind and look over to see Barton has dropped his glass of champagne. It leaks all over the glass, but no one seems to notice. He’s staring at Sam with his eyes wide. My head whips back to Sam and I give him a deadly glare. He doesn’t even look at me, but instead smiles at Clint.

“You had a thing with Barnes?” he says. I close my eyes at the volume of his voice and nearly off myself right there. The chatter at the table comes to an abrupt halt at the sentence. I’ve never been happier to not have Bucky at the table.

“No,” I croak, “I didn’t.” Tony giggles like a child. My eyes fly open and I look at him testingly. “I didn’t.”

“Then what the hell did I see?” Sam says. I swallow and look down.

“I hurt my leg. He was helping me stretch.” I say quietly. Tony makes an uh-hu and I grit my teeth.

“Stop.” I say. Sam and Tony have childish smirks on their faces that I wish I could punch clean off. Everyone else looks at me with raised eyebrows or widened eyes. “Nothing happened.” I mumble. Sam shrugs.

“Here he comes. We’ll just ask him ourselves.” Tony says. My breathing pattern disorients as I look behind me to see Bucky coming through the hall, shaking out his wet hair like a dog. I want to sink back into my chair and become one with it, completely out of sight and finished with this situation. “Hey, Barnes, what were you doing with Y/N in the gym?” Tony says. I barely look at him, just enough to see his face. He raises an eyebrow.

“Working out?” he says, like its the only possible thing that could’ve happened. I mean, it is. Of course it is. “That’s not what I saw.” Sam says, tilting his head at Bucky. I feel a lump form in my throat as Bucky looks at me in confusion.

“She hurt her thigh. I was helping her stretch.” he says, squinting.

“Mmhhmm.” Tony says. “I bet you help her stretch all the time.” I stiffen, looking around the table. Clint, Sam, and Tony giggle profusely. Steve is tugging at his lips to keep a smile from reaching them. Wanda and Nat look at me in surprise. I breathe in and look down, suddenly disheartened.

“You know what, guys?” I say quietly, standing up and folding the towel on the table. “Have a great dinner.” I push my chair out with the back of my knees. The boys aren’t laughing anymore. The table’s eyes are on me. I shuffle out of the chair and turn around, walking past Bucky, brushing his shoulder and trying not to stare at his concerned face. My feet thump, carrying me back to my room, locking the door and sitting on the end of my bed, a sigh escaping my lips.

Broken Water Heater

A ‘40s Bucky x Reader Drabble

Warnings: smut (fingering), sexual tension, slight teasing,

“So, your water heater’s out?” Bucky crossed his arms; he had a smirk plastered on his lips. “Really?”

“I wouldn’t be standing here if it wasn’t.” You matched his stance and folded your arms across your chest. “I would’ve just gone back to the compound had I known you were going to act like this.”

“Like what?” He raised an eyebrow and licked his lips. “I’m just trying to make sure you’re not scamming me.”

“You’re acting like an arrogant womanizer.” You spat the words at him, ignoring the feeling you got whenever he licked his lips. “Now, please, can I use your shower?”

“Yeah.” Bucky nodded and gestured you into his shared apartment. Steve was nowhere to be seen. “You can use mine, Steve’s is a little wonkier so mine’s the better bet.”

Did you kiss me just to shoot me? (Jason Todd x Reader)

More love for Jason Todd.

Slight Nsfw mentioned.

On a particular boring day of laying in the Wayne Manor Dick burst through the door claiming that a group trip to a laser tagging place would be the best cure. You looked at Tim and shrugged. I guess that’s something to do right? Dick even managed to make Damian come along, but he didn’t understand why shooting rays of light at each other in a dark place was enjoyable.

-“Just think of it as stealth training.” You ruffled his hair after he put on his jacket.

-“I guess it could be seen that way.” Damian mumbled to himself.

Dick came back with a slight frown.

-“Jason says he doesn’t want to come.”

-“Good.” Damian replied.

You poked Damian in the cheek.

-“What no? That’s not good, Are you afraid he’ll beat you?” You teased.

-“No, I would beat him.”

-“Well lets see about that.”

You quickly jogged to were Jason was lounging on the couch. His eyes quickly met yours, but went back to the tv soon after. If you had to be honest with yourself you had an admiration towards Jason. Tim told you some things about Jason, the good and the bad. Damian told you every flaw Jason ever had. He didn’t seem that bad to you. Maybe he was considered the black sheep of the family, but ultimately he’s doing what he thinks is best. So whenever he came over the Manor you always tried to talk to him. Realizing that typical normal interactions wouldn’t work with him you tried a different approach. It was considered flirty but it always worked. Sometime you grabbed his hand out of nowhere and wouldn’t le go until he talked to you.

-“Jason.” You asked intently, both your hands holding his.

-“Yeah.”

-“What’s your favorite color?”

You would be lying if you said you only touched Jason just to get questions out of him. His hand was warm and you loved the look he gave you when you touched him. It was a combination of curiosity and composure. One time he subconsciously licked his lips making direct eye contact with you. Embarrassed you awkwardly looked to his hands and continued talking. By doing this you didn’t see the smirk on his face.

You sat down on the couch next to Jason. A little too close for him Jason thought. He could feel the warmth of your body when your leaning against him.

-“Jason.”

-“Yeah.”

-“You need to go Laser tagging with us.”

-“No.”

-“Please?”

-“No.”

You dramatically sighed and laid your head on his lap. Jason tensed up when you did this. You head was lying way to close to places it shouldn’t be… yet. He noticed how your lips moved when you tried to convince him to go. He zoned out when your head tilted towards his stomach.

-“I’ll go.” Jason said suddenly.

-“Awesome!” You got up and pulled his arm to the door.

Whoever decided that laser tagging would be a fun game. It wasn’t. Jason was nowhere to be seen yet he had the highest score currently in the game. Trained vigilantes has nothing against this sharp shooter. All of you decided that whoever scored on Jason first was the winner.

It was pitch black except for the occasional neon lights and blaring music. You decided to walk on the edge of the game setup. You knew the rest of the boys were searching in the middle. You zoned out looking at the clock. 2 minutes left and still no Jason. Your head in the clocks you didn’t realize a figure crouching down until you tripped and landed on top of it. A low grunt was heard, but no reply was said. You knew who it was, his hands were on your hips.

-“I guess I fell for you Jason.”

-“Dork.”

There was a silence before Jason slowly moved one of his hands to your head. He gently pulled your head down to meet his lips halfway. After the first kiss he switched positions so that you were on the bottom The first kisses were slow and sensual, but as he continued it became more deep and passionate. You sighed into the kiss showing pleasure that Jason took really well. He slowly lead your hand under his shirt.

You see the clock it read 10 seconds. While you really enjoyed what was happening, your mind was foggy with feel good thoughts. You glanced at your laser gun near Jason’s knees.

4 seconds.

You pulled Jason into a deep kiss while you grabbed the laser gun.

You heard Dick groan in the setup and Damian yell with defeat. Your score had one red tick against it, signifying that Jason’s chest piece got shot. Jason looked down at you.

-“Did you kiss me just so you can shoot me?”

-“Well that wasn’t the plan, but the offer was to tempting.”

You quickly got up brushing the dirt from your pants. Jason followed taking your hand in his.

-“The kiss or scoring on me?”

-“Both.”
