this made me emotional editing this

i remember being /really/ sad when fun home closed because i wanted it to have a longer broadway run (long enough for me to be able to see it in person) and now seeing all the news of fun home productions all across america, in manila, japan, taiwan, sweden, london, spain, etc. has made me tear up but in a different way. think of all those wlw, especially butch lesbians, being able to identify with alison, a leading character, all those viewers who’ll have their own ‘ring of keys’ moment, all those minds the show will expand and the stereotypes they’ll break. it just goes to show you that the broadway run isn’t the end all be all and that something good can come out of closing

The Winter Soldier wears a mask for most of the film, which made it difficult for me to convey emotions. But it also kind of helped in a way. I felt when I was looking at myself in the mirror that I couldn’t recognize myself at all. I had to pay more attention to the way I behaved, the way I moved and the physicality of it all. This character is so complex and tragic in a way and there are so many sides to him that hopefully we will see in the future.
