it gets long and gay oops

Jensen x Reader, Jared

2,406 Words

Warnings: Excessive misuse of classic movie quotes

A/N: This is for Arie, @bringmesomepie56. I have no idea what the hell this is, but I think it’s adorable. Hope you like it.

“Tonight is the night,” you told yourself as you took a deep breath and followed Jared into the pub. “I’m gonna tell him how I feel.”

“What’s that, Y/N/N?” Jared asked over his shoulder. He could hear your voice over the symphony of noises that engulfed you as you moved towards the bar, but he couldn’t make out your words.

“Nothing,” you hollered back, lifting your chin to push your words up towards his ears. Too damn tall.

Jared gave you a quick once over with narrowed eyes and a playful smirk. “You’re up to something.”

“Am not!”

“Y/N,” he said, pulling you with him as he sank onto a barstool. “You didn’t take your makeup off, your hair is down and… quite nice actually, and that tank top…” Jared shook his head and bit his lip, trying to avert his eyes from your ample cleavage like the good friend he was.

“What about my tank top?” you defended, pulling your shoulders back and pushing your breasts almost into his face.

Jared laughed, “You look amazing, is all I’m saying. But I know what you’re up to. Just fuckin’ tell Jensen how you feel and be done with it.”

Becoming a Father Overnight Part Thirteen

Becoming a Father Overnight Masterlist

Masterlist

“Hey,” Jared greeted as he entered the room. Y/n looked up from her phone and flashed him a quick smile before finishing her text.

“What’s up?”

“Not much, just wanted to have a quick chat. Gen mentioned earlier that she heard you on the phone with your mom the other day. She said it didn’t sound like a happy conversation. Everything alright?”

Y/n picked at the corner of her phone case, “I mean, things aren’t great with her.”

“What’s going on?” Jared asked sitting next to her on the couch. “Tell me about it.”

Y/n frowned, her eyebrows pulling together, “I mean, I think it’s pretty obvious. I’m hurt and upset with all her lies and bad choices. She kept us apart, I’m angry with her about all of it.”

Jared sighed, “She messed up majorly.” Y/n nodded. “Don’t get me wrong, I was angry with her when I found out too, but maybe it’s time you forgive her.”

“What?” Y/n was shocked, she thought Jared of all people would be on her side. “How can you even say that? She didn’t tell you you had a daughter, she didn’t tell me the truth about who my father was. You could have been apart of my life, not missed the first seventeen years if she’d been honest. How could you of all people suggest I forgive her?”

“I mean, she’s your mom, she messed up, but you have to forgive her at some point. I have.”

“You what? How can you just forgive her that fast? She’s barely even apologized to you! So what, it’s not a big deal that she kept us apart? She probably never even would have told us the truth if I hadn’t figured it out!”

“Slow down,” Jared raised his hands in surrender, trying to stop the brewing fight. “I was mad when I found out and sure, part of me is always going to hold it against her, but she’s the mother of my daughter and that is never going to change. She’s always going to be in my life and it’s easier to try and get along then fight. And the point is, she’s your mom, you’re gonna have to deal with this eventually.”

‘Hanging Out’ - Jared Kleinman (smut)

A/N: Idk what this is??? I put a ‘read more’ because it’s super long and smutty

Requested by anon: “49 with Jared?”

49. My Sims get more action than I do!

Pairing: Jared x reader (I tried to make it as gender neutral as possible, but if there are any slip ups, I’m so so sorry!)

Warning(s): smut my dude, p r a i s e k i n k, A LOT of cursing, awkwardness bc I live for blushy awkward smut oops, Jared gets insecure and it’s sad :((

Word count: 3,208 (this is sooo long for being so bad lmao)

You spent the majority of your life listening to Jared Kleinman complain. Whether it was about how slow his game console was compared to the newest one, or about his glasses or about the retainer he had to wear at night, he always had something to complain about. As he got older, the complaints gradually changed from toys to his love life, which is what he was currently saying as the two of you hung your heads upside down off the end of his bed.
“Why don’t people want to date me, Y/N? I’m attractive right?” He asked, turning to look at you. He was squinting due to the fact that his glasses had fallen long before, and his face was red from hanging upside down. You let out a snort and shook your head. “No, not right you’re not.” Jared shoved you and you laughed. “I’m kidding! You’re not bad looking at all!” You told him. “Then why am I single?”

“Maybe it’s because you’re annoying?”

“Shut up!”

This was the usual routine for you two. One of you would talk about your problems and the other one would make sarcastic remarks. The two of you often joked that you didn’t know why you put up with each other when all you did was throw insults back and forth. You did know, however, why you put up with Jared’s antics:

You, Y/N, were in love with your best friend since childhood.

It was terribly cliché, and it annoyed you to no end. Why him of all people? You had no fucking clue, maybe it was the way his humor matched yours so well or the way he was able to make you feel better when you were down. But those were all just things a best friend did, right? The more you thought about it, the more you realized just how deep the shit you were in actually was.
“I’m serious, nobody wants to date me! I’m chubby and obnoxious. I mean, shit, my Sims get more action than I do!” It was very rare when Jared would express actual insecurities while complaining, so you knew that it wasn’t just joking around anymore. You sat up and helped him to do the same, both of your heads spinning from suddenly being right-side-up. “Jared, there’s nothing wrong with you. There is someone out there who loves you for you, you just have to find them!”

“Loves?”

“What?”

Jared narrowed his eyes at you. “You said loves, as in there’s already someone who does.” Jared must have seen your eyes widen in panic because next thing you knew, he was interrogating you about who it was. “Do I know them? Are they in our friend group? Are they a boy or a girl or a nonbinary person? Are they cute?” You stayed quiet, not trusting yourself to say any more than you already had. As Jared continued to ask more and more questions, you knew that you had royally fucked up.

“I-I have to go!” You yelled abruptly, cutting Jared off in the middle of a question. “B-But wait! Y/N you need to tell me-” You ran out of his bedroom before he could finish his sentence.

word count: 2,268

warnings: so many perspective changes, i didn’t proof read it, swears (duh), mention of genetalia (jared says dick), um and i think thats it???

WITHOUT ANY FURTHER ADO…..

Fuck.

Y/N: uhhhh

Jared: I can pick you up from school on Monday?

Shit, school. If you saw him at school you wouldn’t be able to just walk past without tackling him in a hug… and then he’d find out.

Y/N: i don’t know if i’ll go to school that day, i think i’m coming down with something.

Jared obviously knew you were lying. So he lied back.

Jared: But we have that special assembly

Y/N: we do??

Jared: Yeah I forgot what it’s on but I heard it’s super important.

Y/N: shit then i guess i have to go

Y/N: what period is it?

Jared: End of the day

Perfect, you could just go last period and leave and not have to face Jared confrontation until… Tuesday.

Y/N: u know what?? just remembered i have plans?

Jared: Can’t you get out of them? I feel like I’m worth it ;)

Y/N: lol of course you are! but it’s family bowling night so,,,, no

Jared: Well it’ll happen eventually.

Jared was right, it would. A lot sooner than you wished, too. After quickly convincing your parents to skip all but last period, you texted Jared good night and then fell asleep full of anxiety of the day ahead.

Days have passed. The amount of times you have seen Jared pass you in the halls and you haven’t said anything is unbearable, for the both of you.

Jared would have to pretend like he didn’t know who you were and continue just walking, Evan’s talking mumbled by his thoughts. He didn’t even make eye contact with you and has only seen you in his peripheral vision.

And, fuck, his peripheral vision didn’t give him much to go off of but you looked fucking amazing. A million times better than just seeing you on Instagram from his phone. Seeing you out of the corner of his eyes for a split second every now and then almost killed him.

Jared: Wait I have no idea how to do APBio project

Y/N: ugh too long to type and explain

Jared: Then just FaceTime me lol

Y/N: uh…..

Y/N: my hair is messy

Y/N: and im in my pajamas

Y/N: so no

Jared: and I care because????

Y/N: i care!

Jared: Fine then call me

…Should you? I mean, there’s no harm. It’s just your voice. But what if you get major phone anxiety or he thinks your voice is ugly.

Y/N: i was about to go to bed :( sorry

Jared: Bullshit it’s like 10pm

Before you could respond with a snarky comment, your phone started buzzing and Jared’s ringtone (which may or not be ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’) started playing.

Fuck.

You answered it but immediately muted yourself.

“Uh… hello?” You said nothing. “Y/N, I know you’re there, it stopped ringing,” he chuckled a bit. You face flushed when he said your name. “Ok, whatever. Anyways, so this project. I kinda dozed off when Ms. Years was saying all the instructions so I thought I could ask someone else from the class but the only person I know was absent and so I tried to ask Ms. Years what to do and she just gave me, like, a vague and sarcastic response and I remember you talking about Ms. Years and you’re probably a good student so…”

As Jared rambling continued you started to feel more and more guilty. You clicked the home button and went back to texting.

Y/N: jared tbh i really don’t wanna explain i barely even get it myself i wouldn’t know how to explain

You heard his phone vibrate and he stopped talking and sighed, “Okay, we’re doing this. Well, y/n, I really don’t to fail this project. I can barely hold a C so I need to get a good grade on this.”

Y/N: i thought u were like,,, top of ur class??

He chuckled, “Yeah in all of them except fucking biology. That godforsaken class will be the death of me.” You laughed and your feelings sank when you realized he couldn’t hear you.

Y/N: bio is like the one class im good at

Jared chuckled and your heart fluttered, “Of course you are. But…” he dragged out the word and you frowned.

Y/N: i know, im just nervous

He sighed, “I guess I’ll ask someone else?”

Y/N: sorry :(

“Yeah, yeah.”

And with that, the call ended.

Almost a week passed and Jared wouldn’t barely talk to you. If he did it was one or two-word answers. So when he sent a paragraph it surprised you.

Jared: Ok so I wrote into Catfish I wanna get your opinion on my letter.

Jared: I’ll just copy and paste

Jared: “Yo Nev and Max,

It’s ya boy, Jared. So y/n is my soulmate, I haven’t really talked with them for long but, get this, I’ve never heard their voice and they’ve only sent me one picture! I know. And, even crazier, we go to the same school and are in the same grade! So when I looked for a y/n y/l/n in our yearbook, I did not see the face from the pictures but someone completely different! I know, it’s wild.

If you would help me, that’d be dank lol thanks.”

Jared: I feel like it’s funny and they’d prob pick it up because it’s not like any of their other stories!

Jared was obviously being sardonic and passive aggressive. In any normal situation, you would’ve responded with wit but all the things he said started to process in your head. You could almost hear the gears turning in your brain.

Jared: y/n, why did you lie?

Y/N: i’m so sorry, jared

Jared: …y/n, why did you lie?

Y/N: i was insecure and scared? i know i know thats not a good enough excuse but i never thought id get caught

Jared: You never thought one of these days one of us would just crack or cave at school?

Y/N: i almost did plenty of times tbh

Jared: The amount of effort it took for me to not just run up to you whenever I saw you were…. tremendous

Y/N: how long have you known?

Jared: Literally since the beginning lol

Y/N: gdi

Y/N: im so sorry

Jared: Can we, like, actually talk now or FaceTime or something, please?

Jared: It’s in the middle of the day so dont say you were about to sleep

Y/N:

Jared: Oh no what is there more?

Y/N: im aNXiouS

Jared: So fucking am I! Actually seeing your face and hearing you speak at the same time is literally all I’ve wanted since I had a panic attack on your thigh

That warmed your heart made your goofy smile stick onto your face. Something surged within you and you decided to make a bold move.

Less than a ring later, Jared’s forehead popped up onto your screen. “Holy shit, you initiated it,” he breathed. Your camera was facing the ceiling, “Where are you?”

“Contemplating whether or not to hang up and just cry instead.”

Jared gave a shaky breath but you saw the corners of his eyes scrunch up, meaning he was smiling. “Someone grab the camera my baby said their first words!”

You snorted, “Oh my god, Jared.”

“Fucking hell.”

“What?”

“Just… so much happened in a split-second, I got a little dizzy.”

You stifled a laugh but your smile was still ridiculously wide, “What do you mean?”

“You laughed, no, you snorted, y/n, and damn it was adorable and made my heart, like, stop for a second. Then, oh boy, then you said my name and my heart stopped again and then I almost hung up the call to call an ambulance.”

“Why didn’t you?” you pressed on, teasing him.

“Prop up the camera so I can, like, look at you while you talk,” he told you, not answering the question.

With a shaky hand, you obeyed and the camera showed you, cross legged on your bed, and fiddling with your fingernails. “Now you do it.” You refused to make eye contact with the camera but out of the corner of your eyes, you saw Jared look at his screen in disbelief and immediately found something to lean his phone on. You really could only see his torso and up, but it was more than enough.

You looked up at him through your eyelashes, your nerves eating away at you.

“Shit, you’re stunning.”

The corners of your mouth perked up, “I would say the same but from what I’ve seen, you’re much more adorable in person.”

Jared smirked, “Damn right, I am. But holy shit, I just want to take a moment to appreciate your… charismatic smile.”

You snickered, throwing your head back a little, “Charismatic? That’s not usually a word I hear to describe someone’s smile.”

“Not just someone, you.”

“Jared, you’re such a sap.”

“It’s a charming quality, right?”

You and Jared stayed together, talking, for hours. You only realized it when the sun started rising through your window.

“Shit, we have school, Jared.”

“Wait, just… Stay right there.”

You did and you saw his phone flash. “…Did you just take a screenshot of me?”

“The sun made your skin glow. It was too enchanting to not take a screenshot.”

You giggled at him and saw the screen flash again. “Jared!” You scolded, “You’re lucky you’re my soulmate.”

“Sorry! Your laugh was captivating.”

“Did you just pause me?” you asked him, feigning offense.

He snickered, “I wanted to see how photogenic you look in these screenshots. Just gimme a sec.”

“‘Kay but you owe me a Redbull!”

“Deal. What time is it?” he asked.

“Six. Why?”

“Maybe we should both take a quick catnap and I’ll pick you up,” he offered.

“And end our fifteen-hour call? Never!” you laughed, doodling on your arm.

“Y/N… stop drawing dicks on my wrist.”

Jared ended up opting out of picking you up because he knew he wouldn’t be able to keep his hands off you for an entire car ride. So as you were waiting for Jared in the cafeteria, you bit your nails and looked around the room again as if he’d magically appear.

Jared, however, saw you. You had your back to him and Jared couldn’t believe this was actually happening. He swallowed his fears and slowly walked up to you, a Redbull in hand.

Before he could reach you, some girl he sort of recognized walked up to you and started talking to you. He couldn’t hear the whole conversation, it’s was like quiet mumbling, but he could tell you were on edge and not really paying attention to her.

Suddenly, Jared and the girl made eye contact. You only then realized it was Alana. She waved at you, “Hey, Jared! How’s your morning been?”

Both you and Jared froze.

Jared took a deep breath and cleared his throat, unaware of the blush forming on his cheekbones. “Well, I owe y/n here a Redbull and I wanted one too but the store only had one, so I guess we’ll have to share it.”

You slowly turned towards him. “Jared,” you breathed. “…JARED!” you now screamed, sprinting the short distance between you and clutched onto him, tears rolling down your face.

Jared staggered back a bit but took your embrace and wrapped his arms around you. “Holy shit, this is real. You’re real,” he said quietly in disbelief.

It felt like hours you two were just there, with each other. Finally.

Alana snapped a picture just before you and Jared slowly pulled away from one another. He held his hands on your waist and you held his biceps. The both of you just stared at each other, smiling, and taking in every feature. “The janitor’s closet next to the math wing is, like, never used.”

“What?”

“If you lovebirds need a secret place,” she winked and walked away. Jared’s face flushed and you could only muster up a nervous laugh.

After lunch, you didn’t have any classes with Jared. So by the end of the day, you were craving him.

You leaned against his car, waiting for him. Once you saw him exit the building, you called out to him, “Jared, hey!”

He looked instantly relieved to see you and jogged to your position. “Need a ride?” You nodded and held his hand in yours. He squeezed it then let go, “Get in.”

The car ride home was silent, but not uncomfortable. Just being in his presence gave you joy. When you reached a stoplight, you grabbed his right hand and pulled it towards you. You held it on top of your thigh.

“It’s gonna be hard to drive with one hand,” he chuckled.

You rubbed the back of his hand with your thumb, “I think you can manage.”

He got to your house not too long after and when you let go of his hand, both of you felt empty. You sighed, “So…”

“So?”

You gathered as much courage as you could in a split second and leaned over the console, giving him a quick peck on the cheek. Before Jared knew what was happening, you were out the door, walking to your house, and waving at him.

Jared raised a hand to where your lips met his skin and his felt his hot cheek. He probably was the same shade as a stop sign, but he didn’t care.

With grin basically tattooed onto his face and a twinkle in his eye, he drove himself home, feeling like the king of the world.

Any Time (Connor Murphy X Reader)

WC: 2225

Warnings: Like one swear word, fluff, Connor can’t deal with his feelings

Summary: Y/N falls asleep on an outing to the orchard with her friends. Her dislike of flowers comes up in conversation, and shenanigans ensue

Tagged: @lildipstick @bellasabb @ahhhhamilton

A/N: For the anon who requested Y/N falling asleep in a park and getting flowers put in her hair. Also, I kinda forgot about Evan, so he’s not in this one. Whoops.

Y/N’s P.O.V

“Here we are! This was my favourite place as a kid!” Zoe said, gesturing around with her arms. I chuckled, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear.

“Trying to keep her from going here 24/7 was the biggest problem mom and dad had when we were young.” Connor muttered and I snorted, watching Zoe’s face fall.

“Shut up Connor!” Zoe said, shoving him lightly. Connor chuckled, ruffling Zoe’s hair as he did.

“It’s hard to believe that you two wanted to murder each other last year.” Jared mused, watching the siblings interact.

“I couldn’t agree more.” I said, resting my elbow on Jared’s shoulder. Jared flipped me off and I chuckled, sticking my tongue out at him.

“So, Y/N, how are you? I feel like we haven’t really talked to each other in a while.” Alana said, appearing in the other side of me.

“I’m doing pretty good. My sister Chloe just came up from DC to visit which is nice. I haven’t seen a lot of her since she’s been off at college.” I said, waving my hands about a little.

“That’s awesome.” Alana said, smiling brightly at me. I noticed that Connor and Zoe had already run off ahead of us, and I shook my head slightly.

“They’re ridiculous.” I muttered, running after them. Jared and Alana shook their heads, trailing after me.

“Hey… guys.” I puffed, doubling over slightly. Connor arched an eyebrow, looking at me judgementally.

“You are seriously out of shape.” He said, and he was met with a smack from Zoe. I stood up straight and glared at him as he rubbed the area where Zoe had hit.

“And you… are rude!” I said, still trying to catch my breath. Connor chuckled, and Zoe just rolled her eyes.

“Now we’re a gang.” She said, noticing that Jared and Alana had managed to make it to the base of the tree.

“Why’d you run Y/N? You could’ve easily walked.” Jared said and I rolled my eyes, sitting down and resting my back on the trunk of the tree.

“I wanted to run.” I muttered, giving Jared the finger as I spoke. Everyone chuckled, and I noticed that Connor had sat down next to me.

“Hey Connor. You remember when we were like 7, and we tried to climb this tree?” Zoe said and Connor chuckled, nostalgia crossing his face briefly.

“Yeah. You couldn’t get up to the first branch, and you had to get me to lift you up.” Connor replied, his hair flopping across his face.

“Those were the days.” Zoe said, looking out at the vast expanse of land that was the orchard.

“I hate to interrupt this beautiful nostalgia fest, but I’ve got snacks.” Jared said, chucking his backpack down into the middle of the circle.

We all cheered and I snatched the bag, violently undoing the zip. “Jesus christ.” Jared muttered, watching me with wide eyes.

“Dude, I’m starving.” I said, my mouth half full of the chocolate cake Jared packed. Everyone chuckled, and I felt my cheeks burn.

“You gonna share, Y/N?” Connor teased, plucking the bag from my grasp. I let out an annoyed sigh, swallowing the cake.

“So, Zoe. How’s school treating you, our little sophomore?” I said, crossing my arms over my chest. Zoe’s cheeks went pink and Connor chuckled, ruffling her hair.

“School’s alright. Mrs Waters is a bitch, though. She gave me a B- on my exam! It was clearly at A level.” Zoe said and we all erupted into laughter.

“I hate Mrs Waters. I’m so glad I don’t have her for any more of my classes.” Jared said and everyone nodded, even Alana, who normally hates bashing teachers.

“Does anyone else feel kinda tired?” I muttered, stifling a yawn. Everyone’s eyes turned to me, and there were a few muffled snickers.

“Nope. I reckon you’re just in a near sugar-induced coma.” Connor said, lightly punching my shoulder.

I rolled my eyes, letting out a loud yawn. “Wait, you’re seriously tired?” Jared said, and I nodded, my eyes half-lidded.

“You mind if I take a nap?” I murmured, and I heard Connor let out a hum of approval.

“Awesome.” I said, mostly to myself, and I closed my eyes fully. I tilted my head slightly, and I felt it hit something solid.

I could tell it wasn’t a tree based on the sharp inhale of breath I heard when I hit it. “What do I do?” I heard someone whisper, and I was a little too tired to register whose voice it was.

“Just let her rest there. She’s tired.” Another voice said, and I let out a sigh, feeling myself finally fall asleep.

Connor’s P.O.V

Y/N had fallen asleep on my shoulder, and naturally Zoe decided that it’d be fun to laugh at my reaction.

“Your face was priceless, oh my god.” Zoe said, wiping away tears she was laughing so hard.

“Shut up Zoe! I’m not used to this.” I said, glancing over at Y/N, her hair slightly covering her face.

“Yeah. We can definitely tell.” Jared said, laughing as he spoke. I glared at him and he flinched a little.

“Hey, you guys. I have an idea.” Jared said, and we all turned our heads in his direction.

“What’s the idea?” Alana asked, a curious tone in her voice. Jared smirked, and I began to feel slightly worried.

“You know how much Y/N dislikes flowers? I’ve never understood why, but she does.” Jared said and I frowned, wondering where this was going.

“Anyway, what if we get a whole bunch of flowers and stick them in Y/N’s hair? When she wakes up she’ll be super pissed, but it’ll be worth it.” Jared said and I chuckled, looking over at Y/N’s sleeping form.

“Ok. I’m in. How about you lot?” I said, looking over at Zoe and Alana. Zoe was smiling, and Alana looked like she was seriously contemplating it.

“I’ll do it. I know where to get some really pretty flowers around here.” Zoe said and Jared’s smirk widened.

“Miss Beck? Your vote is…” Jared said, raising his eyebrows in Alana’s direction.

“I think it’s a little mean, but it’s not like we’re hurting her or anything.” Alana said and Jared let out a whoop.

“Awesome. Zoe, Alana and I are going to go find some flowers. Connor, you kinda have to stay here because our victim is asleep on your shoulder. Sorry.” Jared said, shooting me a look of fake sympathy.

“Whatever.” I muttered, looking at Y/N who was curled up tightly against me. Her head was resting on my shoulder, and her body was pressed right against mine.

I felt the heat rise in my cheeks slightly, and I was thanking God that the other three had already left to go search for flowers.

“How dare you make me feel things.” I muttered, gingerly running a hand through Y/N’s hair. She stirred slightly and I froze, wondering if I’d woken her up.

Instead she let out a sigh and buried her head further into the crook of my neck, her hair tickling slightly. I let out a sigh and looked up at the tree whose branches provided a roof of some kind.

I tentatively slipped an arm around Y/N’s shoulders, and even though she was asleep, something akin to a smile crossed her face.

I let out a groan, feeling butterflies grow in the pit of my stomach. “We’re back!” I suddenly heard Jared’s voice, and I felt my cheeks burn.

“Shush. You’re gonna wake her up.” I said and Jared’s eyebrows arched, a smirk crossing his face.

“Since when have you cared about not waking someone up? You once physically dragged me out of bed.” Zoe said, a bundle of purple and white flowers in her arms.

“So what?” I muttered, trying to avoid making eye contact with any of them. Zoe just rolled her eyes and passed me a few flowers.

“You can put the first one in.” Zoe said and Jared snorted. My eyes widened when I understood the double meaning of what Zoe said, and I felt my cheeks burn at a temperature hotter than the sun.

“You guys are the worst.” I said, shaking my head as I picked up a flower. I took a deep breath and gently placed the flower behind her ear.

I took my hand away slowly, and paused when I noticed just how good the flower’s colours looked against Y/N’s skin.

“Ok, I did it.” I said, glaring at Zoe, who was smirking widely at me. She raised a hand in the air, the smirk still plastered on her face.

She kneeled down and wove a few of the flowers into Y/N’s hair, making an intricate pattern that left me wondering where she learned how to do that.

“Woah.” Alana said, watching as Zoe’s hands moved expertly through Y/N’s hair. I noticed that Jared’s eyes were wide, and I imagined mine were too.

“Your turn.” Zoe said, facing Jared. He nodded, looking at Zoe with disbelief before putting some pink flowers in Y/N’s hair. I was surprised at how well the colours went together.

Jared finished almost as quick as he had started, and Alana shook her head slightly before taking over. By the time she was finished, you could hardly see Y/N’s hair underneath all the flowers.

“Wow.” I breathed out, slightly surprised at how Y/N managed to stay asleep through all of that.

“I know.” Alana said, a smile wide on her face. I looked down at Y/N, a peaceful look on her face, her hair littered with flowers.

Suddenly Y/N let out a hum, and slowly opened her eyes. She blinked a few times, before fully opening her eyes.

“Hi.” She said sleepily, her breath hitting my neck. I smiled shyly at her, and I suddenly became very aware of the fact that my arm was still wrapped around her.

“Hey.” I said, my voice a little shaky. Jared suddenly cleared his throat and I whipped my head around to look at him, Y/N following suit.

“Good morning sleeping beauty.” Jared said and Y/N rolled her eyes, clearly unimpressed.

“What do you want, Kleinman?” Y/N said harshly, and Jared held a hand on his chest in mock offence.

“Someone’s testy. Anyway, I just wanted to say that we left you a little gift. What it is, you’ll have to find out yourself.” Jared said, smirking widely.

Y/N glared at Jared before sitting up, lifting her head off my neck. I missed the feeling of her leaning against me, but I tried not to let anyone notice.

Y/N went to run a hand through her hair, but she stopped when she felt a flower. She slowly retracted her hand, a mildly annoyed look on her face.

“Come on you guys.” She said and everyone chuckled, including me. Zoe shot Y/N an apologetic smile, but Y/N wasn’t having it.

“I’m never going out with you losers again.” Y/N muttered, standing up slowly. I stood up as well, stretching my arms out.

“Don’t be like that, Y/N. You look wonderful, and I’m sure Connor would agree with me.” Jared said, turning to me with a smirk plastered on his face.

I felt the blood rush to my cheeks as Y/N looked at me, her own face a dusty pink colour. “I, uh, um…” I stammered, running a hand through my hair.

Y/N let out a soft laugh, her eyes shining brightly. She leaned up and pressed a gentle kiss to my cheek, her lips soft against my skin.

She pulled away and smiled at me, as I raised my hand to where her lips were. “Thanks Connor.” Y/N said quietly, dimples appearing as her smile widened.

“Any time.” I whispered, still trying to process what had just happened. I was so caught up in my own little world that I didn’t hear the snickering from behind me.

“Get a room you two. Ugh.” Jared said, fake gagging towards the end of his sentence. I felt my cheek burn red hot, and I looked over at Y/N, whose cheeks were now red.

“Whatever Jared. Just cause you can’t get a girlfriend.” Y/N said, and Zoe and Alana laughed loudly. I smirked at Jared, who looked like he’d much rather be somewhere else right now.

“She does have a point, Kleinman.” I said, glancing over at Y/N. Jared sputtered for a second, desperately trying to find words to use.

“I’m sorry Jared, but this is too good.” Zoe said, throwing her head back with laughter.

“I hate you all.” Jared said before marching off, his face bright red. We all laughed louder, and I wiped away a tear.

“He’s such a softie.” Zoe muttered, still snickering. I let out a sigh and suddenly felt Y/N slip her hand into mine.

“How would you feel about maybe coming back here some time? Just the two of us?” Y/N asked, her voice a little shaky.

I gently squeezed her hand, and laced my fingers with hers. “I’m down if you are.”

“Y/N.” He sighed, and your heart froze at the tone behind his words. It was like your worst nightmare coming true, and you had no idea why anything was happening. “I think we need to talk.”

Those were not words anyone wanted to hear. Never a good thing for a relationship, and you felt your legs turn to jello underneath you. Bracing yourself against the counter, you stared up at him, your face pale. “What’s wrong Jared? You’ve been acting distant all day.”

“Oh and your husband totally got married to your daughter a couple years later, but no big deal!” Jensen said with a shrug and wave of his hand.

Jared chuckled next to him “I seriously thought he was gonna say this, and you know what would be even more creepy? Him being completely in character!”

“Absolutely! Oh and let’s not forget the whole zombies thing!” Jensen added with a playful grin as both he and Jared burst into laughter.

“Hey mom, dad married our sister and she made you a grandmother in the meantime!” Jared said in a deep voice, mimicking Dean as they chuckled “That would be one hell of a blooper, how the hell did you miss that chance?” he asked the older man who just shrugged.

“Don’t know, I was a little into character I guess.” Jensen shrugged “But oh, with Jeffrey visiting the set so often to see (Y/n) we are so going to do something with Samantha for next season!” he wiggled his eyebrows as Jared shook his head.

“Well, you guys really seem to have fun on set, don’t you?” the interviewer chuckled “But I think we all can understand you, I don’t think there is a single person I have personally met that watches Supernatural and doesn’t love them as a couple!”

Imagine Playing Crowley’s daughter

To say that Jared and Jensen could be annoying at times was an understatement. Jared and Jensen are like hell on wheels, constantly messing up takes, pranking people, and constantly teasing you about things you couldn’t change. When Misha joined the cast they would direct all joking and teasing to him, it didn’t happen as much when Mark joined the cast because they now teased him. You joined the cast during season ten you played Crowley’s daughter and ever since day one they would mess with you, its just how they show love.

You were born in england so you have a very thick british accent, almost more british then Mark’s, you were also a lot shorter then the boys, they were already freakishly tall standing at around six foot, then compare that to you around five feet they towered over you.

You sighed as you heard your alarm go off knowing you had to get up to go to set. When you got to set you headed for the makeup trailer, sitting down at your seat you waited for them to start on you. Anna one of the make up artists handed you a cup of tea, your favorite thing to have in the morning.

“ Wow I cant believe you managed to become more british (Y/N). ”

“ What do you mean Jared?” You sighed.

Jared pointed to your cup of tea.

“ Really just because Im drinking tea that makes me more british.”

“ Well the only person that drinks as much tea as you on set is Mark. And don’t you guys usually have tea breaks together. You’re like one of the most british people ever.”

You groaned knowing Jared he wouldn’t stop teasing you about being british till you die.

Even though you played Crowleys daughter you ended up doing more scenes with Jared and Jensen and Misha then Mark. Which sucked because Mark was no where near as bad as J2M. You take your mark for the scene.

“ And action.” The director yells.

In this scene Sam and Dean asked for your help with defeating lucifer because Crowley wouldn’t help.

“ Listen we need your help, your dad wont help us and without someone who has access to the books you have, we have no hope.” Jensen said in Deans rough voice.

“ Why should I help you, you’ve never done anything for me accept kidnap me one time, and try to get to my dad through me so why should I do bloody anything for you.” You said trying to sound as mean as you could.

“ We would give you tea.” Jared no longer acting as Sam laughed.

“God damn you Jared this scene was going so well and this is are last scene of the day why do you have to be so bloody annoying you prick.”

As you looked around at the director you noticed him and everyone laughing or trying to stop laughs.

“ Were sorry (Y/N) but you’re just so gosh darn cute when you say stuff like that. Its like a puppy trying to get mad.” Jensen said trying to get you to understand why they were laughing.

“ Mark has an accent just like mine why don’t you go tease him and call him cute.”

“Sorry (Y/N) Mark has no where near as cute of an accent as you do. Plus he doesn’t care when we tease him, you get so angry and its so adorable.”

“ Thanks Misha, I thought you guys were my friends.”

“ We are we just cant help it your so adorable.”

You sighed knowing that the teasing was no were near done, at least they weren’t doing it to be mean. Its just they couldn’t help it when you tried to sound angry you were to cute. Gosh darn your accent.

Real Bullets

Warning: injured reader

You were sitting on Jensen’s lap in his trailer while the two of you waited to be called onto set to film.

“I really don’t want to do that scene,” Jensen sighed.

“Why?” you asked, running your fingers through his short hair, “It’s just acting. Not like you’re really shooting me.”

“Still. I don’t like it. I don’t like that I’ll be pointing a gun at you,” he said, “It doesn’t feel right.”

“Just get your lines right and it’ll be over before you know it,” you teased him, “No worries.”

He pulled you closer, “If you say so.”

You kissed him softly, “I say so. I love you.”

          “I love you too.”

You're my home/Part 2

Warnings: Reader is a young single mom.

Notes: I’m glad that you like the first part guys! This is probably going to become a series, are you excited?? Tell me what do you think, hope you like it!!

Oh, and the title will make sense in the next parts of the story.

Part 1

“Hey (Y/N)!” You heard someone by your side and smiled when you saw that it was Cliff. He took you to a room in the hotel, next to the big auditorium where the panel would happen. The fans weren’t aloud to go there, but the cast didn’t stay there either, so normally people of the production passed through it. It had some food tables and some couches in there. You were sitting in one, with Lottie sleeping in your lap. “So, the photos were revealed. Here you go.” He said extending you three pitcures. You remembered taking just two….

“Thank you!” You said happily and looking at them, your heart melting. The first one was the one in which Lottie was in Jared’s arms and he and Jensen were hugging you; you didn’t see anything different in the second one at a first glance, but then you saw that Jensen wasn’t smiling at the camera, he was looking at you with adoration in his face. Your heart sped up, and you decided to see the other picture before you passed out. The third one you hadn’t seen Chris take. It was the exact moment when Jared entered the room, Lottie was in Jensen’s arms but with her arms extended to Jared, both with big smiles.

“They’re beautiful…” You said and Cliff smiled.

“Glad you like it… The panel will start in 5 minutes, and since all the chairs are already occupied, Jensen said that if you wanted to see it backstage…” Cliff said and you opened your mouth in surprise, Jensen himself offered for you to stay backstage?? Was this really happening?

“Yeah, of course.” You said nodding with your head.

“Great, you just have to pass thought that door, and turn on the first right. I must go, have fun.” He said and waved goodbye. “Oh, I almost forgot the VIP card.” He handed it to you and you thanked him. You slowly shook Lottie to wake her up, and she opened her dark green eyes yawning.

“We have to go, okay?” You said and she nodded, still a little confused and sleepy. You put the photos in your bag, and with your daughter in your arms, you got up following the directions that Cliff gave you. You entered the backstage area and immediately saw Jared kissing Genevieve, his wife, and Jensen’s face lit up when your eyes connected. He was already coming in your direction when Jared tapped his shoulder pointing at the stage. Jensen waved to you before entering the stage with his friend. You saw Genevieve and Felicia, a.k.a, Charlie Bradbury talking, and although you really admired them as actresses too, you were too shy to go talk to them.

You could hear all the fans screaming, and you sat in one chair that was around and that gave you a perfect view of the stage. After ten minutes, Lottie started to really wake up. She sat in your lap, slowly rubbing her eyes.

“Hey there.” You said and she sighed.

“Hi” She said looking around. “I’m hungry.”

“You want milk?” You asked and she nodded. You put her in the ground and noticed how she was looking fixedly at the stage. You got her formula, putting it in her baby bottle and shaking it before handing it to her.

“Mommy look! It’s Charlie!” She said stopping what she was doing and you frowned. Before you could stop her, she ran into Felicia and started to talk to her.

“Lottie!” You said going after her. “I’m so sorry” You said to Felicia and Genevieve.

“No problem! She was telling me that ours names are the same.” Felicia said and she smiled down at Lottie.

“But mommy calls me Lottie.” Your daughter said. “But i’m Charlotte.” She explained and the woman laughed.

“Are you new in the production? I’ve never seen you around.” Genevieve said politely and you shook your head.

“I’m actually a fan… Lottie was sleepy and Cliff brought me to a quiet room, and he said if I wanted to watch the panel, I could do it from here.” You explained a little embarrassed summarizing the story.

“How cool! I’ve never had this luck, I’m actually so unlucky.” Felicia said sighing and when you saw, you, Felicia and Genevieve were talking like you were old friends. Both had adored Lottie, and Genevieve told you about her son Tom and that she was pregnant with their second child, which surprised you a little because she hadn’t told the midia yet. You told them that you got pregnant when you were just 19 and how difficult it had been to raise Lottie alone.

You didn’t see the panel very well, but it didn’t matter, you talked to two amazing actress and you couldn’t be happier. You heard the fans getting noisier, and Jensen and Jared entering the backstage area again. Oh, the panel had ended… You really didn’t want this to end.

“Hey! I see you met (Y/N)” Jared said smiling, putting his hand in his wife’s shoulders.

“Hi (Y/N)!” Jensen said getting closer before you could say anything to Jared. “Had fun?”

“Definitely.” You answered smiling to him, noticing that Felicia was with Lottie in her arms showing her around to some people and Genevieve was talking to Jared. “You were amazing out there” You said reffering to the parts of the panel that you saw and he smiled.

“Thank you, it’s always so fun doing panels.” He said. “I see that Lottie has become quite the celebrity around here.” He said pointing to your daughter who was talking to some girls while holding Felicia’s hand.

You smiled looking at her, and because of that you missed the smile he gave while looking at you. Jensen opened his mouth but was was interrupted by Jared before he even started to talk.

“Sorry to interrupt guys.” Jared said standing next to them. “But we don’t know where to go to dinner… Someone suggested a sushi place called Makishi. You in, J?”

“Oh, that place is falling apart.” You said without thinking. Shit. Who were you to tell them where they could or couldn’t go?

“Really? Well, good you told us, you have any suggestions (Y/N)?” Jared said interested and you were surprised that they were actually considering your opinion.

“Hm there’s is great sushi place next to where I live, and a very good pasta house around there too.” You said including the pasta restaurant where you worked, not really trying to advertise it since it was truly nice.

“I guess we should give it a try.” Jensen said looking at Jared and he nodded. You told him the name of the restaurants and he went away to tell everyone about the new location they would all go have dinner. “You want to go (Y/N)? I imagine you haven’t eaten yet.” Jensen said and you frowned. Was he really inviting you to go have dinner with the entire cast? An ordinary fan like you? You gulped, feeling your heart speed up.

“Mommy!” You heard by your side, and you both laughed because of the interruption, looking at the little girl still holding Felicia’s hand. “Mommy!” She said again running to your arms and you bent down to pick her up. “I wanna go home…” She said with a pout, and you sighed looking at Jensen, and he understood. You wouldn’t be able to have dinner with them.

“Felish, Jensen, let’s go” Jared yelled from the other side of the room.

“Well, it was a pleasure to meet you (Y/N), you too Lottie.” Felicia said giving you a hug and squeezing your daughter’s hands, who gave her a kiss on the cheek, making her melt. You said the same to her, and she went away.

“Do you need a ride?” Jensen asked not being able to stop himself. This had never happened with a fan before, not even when he found some girl really beautiful, and he couldn’t understand why he was doing that, but he did realize that he didn’t want you to go away, he didn’t want this to end.

“Thank you, but I’m with my car. If you guys want though, I could show you the way since the restaurant is next to my house.” You said struggling and again, you were interrupted by Jared.

“Jensen we are 5 to go in Cliff’s car, can you go with Danny?” Jared said referring to another security guard, and your throat was starting to ache in an attempt to stop yourself from offering him a ride. He wouldn’t want to go with you, not without any security. Lottie smiled to Jared and he smiled too asking you if he could pick her up. You nodded and she went to his arms. “(Y/N) I’m sure that my friend over here already invited you, but you’re more than welcome to come with us.” Jared said making an involuntary smile appear in your face.
“I appreciate the invitation, but I really need to go home…"

"Hmm… (Y/N), since you’re going to guide us to the place, do you think that I can go with you in your car?” Jensen asked and you almost passed out.
“Of course.” You said and he smiled to you.

“Great! You sure you can’t go?” Jared asked making you nod and point to the little girl in his arms. “Oh I understand, a shame though. But let’s get going?” He said and you and Jensen nodded. You got Lottie from his arms, and Jared went in a different direction to go meet the rest of the crew.

You bend down to get your bag with all yours and Lottie’s stuff, but Jensen was faster, picking it up from the floor for you.

“Thank you.” You said with a small smile and you felt your cheeks burn. He smiled and you two went in silence through a different way, from which you had arrived, and through a private corridor so the fans wouldn’t see you three. You got in your car, adjusting Lottie in her baby seat while Jensen put your bag in the trunk. What a situation with your favorite actor that you never imagined yourself in.

“Cliff is waiting for us just outside the parking lot.” He said while looking at his phone and you nodded. You started driving, already seeing Cliff’s car up ahead.
“Mommy, put the duck song!” Lottie screamed from the back seat of the car, and you gave Jensen a sheepish smile as he laughed loudly.

“I’m sorry…”

“Sorry for what? I love the duck song!” He said excitedly, looking back to where Lottie was and she laughed. You turned the radio while you were leaving the parking lot, seeing Cliff’s black car following you. Lottie started to sing the song and Jensen tried to follow the music, dancing and making faces with her. You and Lottie were laughing hard. Oh god, he was such a wonderful man… But after some songs and lots of laughing, she started to get tired. You turned the volume down, and soon she was passed out.

“Is her name really Lottie, or is it just a nickname?” He asked curious.

“Nickname. Her name is Charlotte.” You said and he smiled looking at her again.

“Well, she is adorable.” He said repeating what he had said in the photo Op, making you smile proudly. “So (Y/N), tell me, were you born here in the city?”

“Oh no, I was born in Illinois.” You said.

“And why did you move?” He asked and you twisted your lips.

“Hmm… My family didn’t support me when I got pregnant, and I decided to move away from them. Different life, you know?” You said and he sighed.

“Yeah, I know. But you were of age when you had her, weren’t you?” He asked a little confused.

“Well, yeah, but I was 19. Still too young to earn their acceptance, apparently.” You said struggling and he let a little gasp of surprise.

“19?” He asked surprised and you looked at him smirking slightly.

“Why, do you think I look that old?” You said messing with him and he smiled, a little embarrassed. This was definitely not what he was implying.

“Quite the contrary.” He started. “It’s just that you’re so mature… So responsible with your daughter” He said, a warm tine in his voice and you sighed.

“I guess I just have to be, there is no time to be reckless with a little child. Actually, this is the first time in a long time that I’ve gone out to make something for me.” You said and he looked at you with a serious face. He wanted to tell you that you had to take care of yourself more often. That you had already done a lot for Lottie, and that you deserved some time for yourself. But he knew that if he said that, you eventually would start the ‘what happened to the father’ subject, and based on your reaction in the Photo Op, he supposed you didn’t really enjoy talking about him.

“Sometimes it’s good to make something for yourself.” He said instead, and you smiled.

“Yeah, who knows what could happen if you take a risk?” You said and for some reason those words stayed on his mind. “By the way, sorry for the fangirling, but you’re Jensen Ackles, I mean… I’ve seen you on Tv for years and now you’re in my fucking car” You said excitedly and he laughed, thinking of how adorable you were.

“I’m glad I am.” He said simply and you felt your cheeks turning red with those words, and you swore that you tried to avoid the little smile that appeared on your face.

“So Jensen, now it’s your turn to tell me something about you.” You said trying to end the little awkward silence after his words.

“Hmm, I’m sure that you’ve already searched everything about my life, so there’s not much to tell you.” He said messing with you and you contained a smile.

“Shut up!” You cried and he laughed. “I have a daughter to take care of, okay? I don’t have time for stalking.” You said playfully.

“Yeah, sure” He said like he didn’t believe in you, and you rolled your eyes.

“And we are here.” You said sighing, stopping your car in front of the sushi restaurant, seeing Cliff’s car stop too. You didn’t want him to go, and he didn’t want to leave. “Thank you for today, Jensen. I had the time of my life.” You said finally being able to turn your body and look straight to him. “And I’m sure Lottie did too."

"It was a pleasure (Y/N), it was really nice meeting you.” He said with a small smile, searching for your hand that was resting on your lap. He squeezed it before gently kissing it. Your heart was almost stopping but you were trying to calm yourself by thinking 'You’re a fan, he does that to all the fans.’ “You’re…” He started and let a small laugh escape his mouth like he was embarrassed. “You’re amazing and you deserve to take some time for yourself once in awhile.” He said smiling and you couldn’t not smile back. “Take some risks.” He said kissing your cheek and getting out of the car before you could even understand what happened. The rest of the crew was waiting for him at the entrance, and he looked back at you when he got there, waving along with everyone else before entering the doors. You sighed when you couldn’t see them anymore, but when you started the car again, you were smiling.

“So…?” Jared asked hopefully to Jensen when they were walking towards the table, a little far behind from the rest.

“So what?” Jensen said like he didn’t understand what Padalecki wanted to know.

“So that i didn’t see you so intersted in someone  as you was in that girl for a long time! You got her number at least?” Jared said making Jensen freeze while his eyes widened. “J…? Don’t tell me you didn’t get her number!"

"Shit.”

lostfanboy  asked:

"Hey, hey, calm down, they can't hurt you anymore." With treebros and/or kliensen because I'm in an angsty dear Evan Hansen mood

As much as I love setting things in the AWE universe, I decided to go for a slightly happier Connor Lives au for a change (with an extra side of “they all became friends”). Slight Sincerely three. (TW for homophobic slurs)

Send me characters or ships from musicals with a prompt from here.

Jared stared at his locker, a stony expression on his face. The thick, black strokes stood out against the dull blue he was so familiar with that seeing that precise shade anywhere else made him sick. Three characters. Three simple characters had ruined his whole day. Two of the characters were created with three sharp strokes, while the last was created as a continuous curve.

   F  A G

There was a small, phallic doodle underneath the word. It wasn’t clever. It wasn’t good. Hell, even the spacing was off. But it made his blood boil all the same.

He wished he could laugh it off. Find some cleaner that could get rid of sharpie, wipe it off, pretend it never happened. That’s what he should do. But something in his brain wouldn’t let it go. It took every ounce of control he had to not break down right there, in the middle of the hallway like a freak. He clenched his fists so hard he could almost feel his fingernails break his skin.

“So Evan asked for my help with his math homework,” Jared had noted long ago that Connor was never one for proper greetings, often startling others by initiating conversations when he hadn’t even announced his presence, just like now, “except I have no idea what the fuck I’m doing in that class so I figured the three of us could– Hey, are you ok dude?”

Jared didn’t turn to look at him. “Peachy.”

“What’s the–” Connor followed Jared’s gaze, eyes landing on the crude graffiti. “Oh no.”

“Fuckin’ stupid. It’s just some idiot with a sharpie who has nothing better to do with his life than harass some kid no one even talks to.”

“That doesn’t make it better. That doesn’t make it ok. That doesn’t make it right.” Connor sighed. “It still fills you with rage. And you still have every right to feel that way. I’ve been dealing with this bullshit since seventh grade.”

“Is that so?” Connor nodded in his periphery. “So how exactly do you ‘deal’ with it?”

“Punch the kid that did it in the face. They usually think twice before doing it again.”

“Sounds great. Recognize the writing? I would love to punch something right now.”

Connor examined the thick strokes. “Can’t say that I do.” He pulled out his phone and began taking pictures.

“What the fuck are you doing?”

“Gathering evidence. Knowing our school system, they’ll have the janitors clean it up this evening and pretend it never happened. We can show it to the administrators and get the vandal’s ass expelled.”

“But we don’t know who it is. And the administrators aren’t going to take it seriously unless we have concrete proof.”

“Yeah, but we got a killswitch named Alana Beck who probably knows everyone’s handwriting and won’t stop badgering them until they find and punish the one’s responsible.”

“For the love of god do not send that to Alana.”

“I won’t. So long as the administrators take this matter seriously.”

“I’m not going to take it to them.”

“I know. That’s why I’m going to.” Jared tried to protest, but at that moment the bell rang. “I should get to class. See you at Evan’s.” And with that Connor walked off. Jared took one last glare at the locker before dragging himself to his next class.

Jared rang the doorbell until Evan answered. Evan seemed surprised to see him.

“Where’s Connor?”

Jared shrugged. “He just said we should meet here after school. So here I am.” He looked at Evan. “Wait, Connor really isn’t here yet?” Evan shook his head. He moved aside and invited Jared in. Jared followed Evan to the living room and sat down on the couch.

“So, um, how was your day?”

Jared shrugged. “Uneventful.” He discreetly clenched a fist.

“Oh.” The two sat in silence for a few moments before Evan spoke up again. “So, um, like, don’t get mad but um, Connor– Connor told me about the locker.”

Jared shook his head. “Of fucking course he did.”

Evan frowned. “He just, um, he said he thought he knew who did it but he wanted me to confirm before saying anything, and, um, he was right.”

Jared suddenly felt the bottled up rage become active once more. “That fucking liar, he said he didn’t know–”

“Well, that’s why he talked with me. Because, um, he thought I could recognize the writing. And I did.”

Jared stood up. “Who the fuck did this? I need to teach them a lesson.” Moving as fast as he could, Evan jumped out of his seat and blocked Jared’s path.

“We-we-we already told– We already told the administrators and, um, they’ve talked with the person, and they’re considering the appropriate punishment.”

“I think I’ve got an idea for an appropriate punishment.” He tried to get past Evan, but the boy blocked his path again.

“Jared, it’s-it’s fine, it’s being taken care of, and you don’t even know–”

“Get out of my way Evan!”

“Hey, hey, calm down, they can’t hurt you anymore." Blinded by anger, Jared pushed Evan aside. And suddenly all the anger he felt was replaced by regret, and sadness. Evan stared at him, concerned and almost fearful. Jared stepped back as his eyes filled with tears.

“I’m sorry. I’m so sorry. I’m fucking– I didn’t mean– I’m an asshole– I–” Jared sank to his knees as the tears fell. He was so angry he had shoved Evan Hansen, the boy he’d cared about so much that Jared had literally worried himself sick over his wellbeing.

“I know, you were– you were just angry…” Evan rushed to Jared’s side, kneeling right next to him and putting his arm around Jared. “Look, I’m ok. I’m fine. You didn’t hurt me. I’m fine.”

Jared gasped for air between sobs. “I don’t… I shouldn’t care this much… I don’t… I don’t know why I’m so angry…”

“Jared, you should feel angry. What they did was– what they did was fucked up, it probably messed with your sense of security, and you shouldn’t have to make excuses for how you feel.” Evan moved so he was kneeling directly in front of Jared. “But you’re safe here. You have me. And we will make sure the bastard that did this gets what they deserved. Nobody should make you ashamed of who you are.” Jared looked into Evan’s kind eyes, so full of love and understanding, and began bawling again. Evan wrapped his arms around Jared in a hug, and Jared just held on as if for dear life. The vandal had made him feel ashamed of who he was, but somehow Evan made him feel proud of it, like he was special because of who he was.

It took a few minutes for things to calm down, but Jared stayed clinging to Evan for as long as he could justify. They finally broke away, Jared wiping away tears and chuckling a bit. “So, when does Murphy get here? He said you had some math homework you both needed help with?”

Evan’s phone went off. He pulled it out. “Speak of the devil,” he muttered. He saw Evan’s face contort into a horrified, then frustrated expression as he read the text. Evan rolled his eyes, shook his head and turned back to Jared. “We have to go help Connor.”

“What? Why? What happened?”

“He injured his hand, it’s all bloody.”

“What did he do?”

“Punched some kid’s teeth in.” Every bit of self control Jared had was focused on keeping his facial muscles in check, but he still couldn’t help the small smirk that slid across his face.

Your Flowers Will be Waiting (Jared Kleinman x Reader)

Your Flowers Will be Waiting (Jared Kleinman x Reader)

Notes: I was listening to “I’m Me” by Us the Duo, and it reminded me of a headcanon I read somewhere saying Jared played clarinet in high school (which I LOVE). And then somehow I came up with an idea that involved a flower shop, and this happened! I also love headcanons about Jared not at all being an outdoors person, sooo idk I just feel like he probably has a pollen allergy (and also gets sunburned super easily and is very clumsy when he goes on hikes with Evan, but that’s for another fic, probably!!). Also, as you may remember from my other Jared fic, I am convinced he loves The Office and no one can tell me otherwise (I mean, come on, Michael Scott literally responds “Kinky!” to something Jim or Dwight says in the first episode).

Anyway. This is pure fluff.

Warnings: Tiny bit of swearing … also Jared makes a slightly crude comment about the romance novels his grandma reads.

Words: 4010

You’ve been watching customers meander in and out of the flower shop for the past three hours when the bell over the door announces the entrance of a boy with crooked glasses and a familiar smile.

An involuntary flutter goes through your stomach as you push your book aside and wave at him from your perch behind the counter. Ever since you graduated high school two months ago and started working here, it seems like he’s been in almost every time you’ve had a shift. At first you weren’t sure why—he never bought anything, just asked a bunch of questions about the various flowers. Once you asked if he was going to buy anything, and he said he was thinking about getting a bouquet for his nature-obsessed friend. You weren’t sure if he was kidding or not.

You’re still not exactly sure why he comes in, but it doesn’t matter so much anymore.

“Hey, Jared,” you call.

“Hey,” he replies. He slides his hands into the pockets of his shorts. “How’s it going?”

“Fine. We got some new flowers if you want to see them.” You motion toward the window display, which you spent a good chunk of your morning arranging. “They’re over there.”

“In a minute.” He comes to the counter and props his elbows on it, leaning toward you. It used to make you feel strange—you had gone through high school feeling pretty much invisible, and it was weird to have a boy talk to you so close, especially one you didn’t know. But now you don’t mind. If another guy did it, you might feel uncomfortable, but Jared does it in an oblivious kind of way like he just wants to hang out, not like he’s trying to hit on you.

Not that you would mind being hit on by Jared Kleinman.

The book you were reading before he came in rests amidst a scattering of stray leaves, its pages lying open to the middle. Jared taps a finger on it. “Whatcha reading today?”

The Prisoner of Azkaban.”

He huffs out a short laugh. “Harry Potter?”

You feel your cheeks flushing a little, but a smile you can’t control pops onto your face. “Hey, those books are classics. My grandma even read them.”

“Then your grandma is way cooler than mine.” He smirks. “I tried to make her read them in fifth grade, but she was too busy with semi-pornographic romances.”

“Oh god, I didn’t need to know that.” You cover your face with one hand and laugh. “Now I just have this horrible image of … that … in my head.”

“You’re welcome.” Jared pushes a finger under his glasses and rubs his eyes; they always get red and watery when he comes in, and he’s usually sneezing by the time he leaves. You used to think it would keep him from spending so much time here, but he told you his friend makes him go on hikes in the woods and those are way worse than this.

“So,” he says. “How late are you working?”

“I get off at four-thirty.” You tuck a loose strand of hair behind your ear; your hair isn’t really long enough to put in a ponytail, but you still try to tie it back every day anyway. “Why?”

“Just wondering.”

You twist back and forth on your stool; it lets out a painful creak that makes a lady looking at flowers by the door glance over at you. You pick up one of the stray leaves from the counter and tuck it into the crease of The Prisoner of Azkaban to mark your spot, then close the book. “Aren’t you ever going to get a job?” you ask Jared.

“I’m trying to get an internship, actually. I want to get some experience under my belt so I’m not totally clueless when I start school.”

Jared is going to Rochester Institute of Technology this fall. He’s going to major in Computer Science, which, based on how much he’s rambled about gaming, the computer he’s been trying to build since ninth grade, and the miracles of the modern cell phone, doesn’t surprise you. He’s lucky, you think—from what he’s told you, it sounds like he’s always had some idea of what he wants to do. You, on the other hand, aren’t sure what you’re doing. You know you’ll be attending North Country Community College come August, but that’s about it.

“That’s a good idea,” you say. “Do you think you’ll get one?”

“Maybe. I probably won’t get paid, but I mean, I can always work on the weekends or at night, right?”

You finger the worn edge of your book; it’s soft from dozens of rereads. “I heard the 7 Eleven down the street is hiring.”

“Ha, ha.” He scratches his nose and shifts his weight so his side is leaning up against the counter. “What about you, loser? You decided what you’re going to school for yet?”

You smirk. It’s a question he asks almost every time he visits, and every time you make up a new answer. Yesterday it was Criminology with a minor in Icelandic Poetry, which both of you are pretty sure doesn’t actually exist. “Maybe Meteorology? And then maybe I’ll minor in Botany.”

Jared lets out a choked sound. “No. God, no, you can’t do botany.”

You laugh. “Why not?”

“Because I already have one friend who won’t freaking shut up about plants. I can’t deal with another one.”

“So we’re friends?”

He gives you a look. “I’m in here almost every day even though my eyes are burning out of their sockets, Y/N. Come on. Gimme some credit.”

A blush climbs up your neck and into your ears. You bite down on a smile and find another loose leaf on the counter to pick at. “You know, we don’t always have to hang out in here if it bothers you.”

He shrugs. “Don’t worry about it, I’m good. But I’d like to quit standing, if that’s okay.”

“Oh, yeah. Sorry.” The other customer is gone now, so you motion for Jared to come sit on the extra stool behind the counter. He scoots around the corner of the counter and climbs onto the stool; for an eighteen-year-old boy, he’s a little short, and his Vans hang a good way above the floor.

“So,” you say. “Am I ever going to meet your other friend?”

Jared takes his glasses off and cleans them on the corner of the button-down shirt he has layered over his green R2D2 shirt. “You’ve met him.”

“When?”

“In school.”

You make a face at him. “I didn’t go to school with you.”

“Yeah, you did.”

You cross your arms over your chest. “No, I didn’t. I would remember that.”

Jared smirks. “Why, because I’m so charming?”

“Because you’re so obnoxious.”

“Wow, nice. Thanks.” Jared slips his glasses back on. “I was in band with you in eighth grade. Remember?”

You cringe a little at the memory of middle school band. Your parents thought you should try playing an instrument, so you tried the flute—and failed. “I spent most of band hiding in the bathroom because I sucked so bad. So no, I don’t remember.”

“Okay, well, I was there.”

“What did you play?”

“Clarinet.” He picks a leaf off the counter and rolls the stem back and forth between his thumb and forefinger. “I spent most of band seeing how loudly I could make it honk.”

“Oh my god. I remember that.” You can’t help but start laughing. When you weren’t hiding in the bathroom, you kept your head ducked so no one would notice you. But there’s still an image in your head—a memory of a short, pudgy kid blowing on his clarinet until his face went bright red and the teacher screamed herself hoarse. “Was that you that honked right in the middle of The Blue Danube?”

“Yep.” He tears the tip off the leaf. “That was the most epic moment of my middle school band career. Also my last.”

“Did they kick you out?”

“Yep. So instead I had to do some stupid wood workshop.” He rips another piece off the leaf. “Majorly boring.”

“I can imagine.” You watch him shred the last bit of the leaf. “God, I can’t believe I didn’t know that was you. We didn’t go to the same high school, though, right? I switched after freshman year.”

“Yeah, I know. I think we had, like, Spanish I or something together before you left.”

“Did I have any classes with your friend?”

“Probably, although if you didn’t remember me, then you probably won’t remember him.”

“Why not?”

He reaches onto the counter and begins to scoop all the stray leaves into a pile. “’Cause he’s quiet.”

“I thought you said he wouldn’t shut up about plants.”

“Well, that’s true. But that’s just with me. He’s quiet around big groups of people.” He lifts a rose leaf and inspects it. “He’s actually the reason I came in here in the first place.”

You raise an eyebrow. “What do you mean?”

“He had this first date with this girl he met at work—he works at a state park, can you believe that? Anyway, he thought it would be cute to give her flowers but didn’t want to actually go buy them. So, being the nice guy that I am, I offered to get some for him.”

You roll your eyes. “Humble much?”

“Hey, I think it was a pretty nice thing to do. He’s the one who came up with the idea in the first place anyway.”

“Well, you never bought the flowers, and you’ve been back, like, a hundred times since then, so explain that.”

Jared snorts and points to himself. “Do I look like the kind of guy to know how the hell you’re supposed to make a flower arrangement?”

“We have premade ones,” you say. “And I offered to help. Remember?”

“Yeah, but remember you were watching The Office on your phone and we started talking about that and got distracted?”

The memory makes something soft and warm light in your chest. You had only been working for a few days and had been out of school for just over two weeks. You didn’t really have any friends from school, more just a few acquaintances, but you still missed the company of other people. Getting to chat with a random kid about your favorite show had eased some of that loneliness—especially when he showed up again during your next shift. “That was nice,” you say.

“I know. Which is why I came back.”

“You told me you were looking for flowers again when you came back.”

“Well, that too.” He scratches his nose in a bashful kind of way, almost like he’s trying to hide his face for a second. “I thought the whole flower idea was kinda good. So, I was going to try it.”

You smirk; the tips of his ears have gone pink, and he’s twisting back and forth on his chair. This might be the first time you’ve ever seen him act shy. “But again,” you say, “you never bought any flowers.”

“Because I realized it was actually really stupid. I mean, asking a girl out with flowers? Who does that?”

“I don’t know,” you say. “I think it sounds sweet.”

He wrinkles his nose. “Really?”

“Yeah. I mean, it’s a little cheesy, but flowers are nice.” You pull one of the leaves from his pile and twirl it between your fingers. “No one’s ever given me flowers, except my parents, and that doesn’t really count.”

Jared raises his eyebrows. “Seriously? You work at a flower shop but have never gotten any?”

Your face heats as you drop your gaze to the leaf pile. “Don’t act like it’s so shocking. I’ve just … I’ve never had a boyfriend.” You watch the way your leaf’s deep green colors blurs when you twirl it. “Does that make me seem lame?”

“No. I’ve been told guys in high school are dicks anyway.”

You glance up at him. “Did someone say that about you?”

“Only a couple times, and I wasn’t actually dating her anyway.” He puts an elbow on the counter and props his head up on a fist. He’s bent over a little, leaning a little closer to you, and you can see the bright blue of his eyes. There’s a tiny spot of warm brown in his right eye you never noticed before, and for some reason it makes your heart trip through several beats.

“So back to the flower thing,” he says. “Do you really think it’s not stupid?”

You laugh again. “Jared, I already told you, I think it’s cute. Why? Are you seriously telling me you haven’t asked out whoever you were going to ask out, like, two months ago?”

He shrugs. “Maybe.”

“Oh my god! Okay, I’m helping you pick out flowers and you’re asking today.” You scoot off your stool and move to get around the counter. “Do you know what kind of flowers she likes?”

“Why the crap would I know that?” he asks, following behind you as you stride toward the front of the store. “Just pick your favorites and I’ll get those.”

You roll your eyes at him but then focus on the task. The two of you wander around the store, Jared watching while you sift through the containers of flowers. You search for some of your favorites but also keep in mind that Jared probably doesn’t have a lot of money to spend on flowers. You’re pretty sure you can make it work; sometimes when there’s no one in the shop, you like to brainstorm new combinations of flowers.

Within fifteen minutes, you’ve gathered a mix of baby’s breath, soft yellow daisies, and lavender. Jared watches from his stool behind the counter while you clip the stems and arrange them in a narrow vase.

“I think this will be good,” you say, nestling a sprig of baby’s breath next to a large, pale yellow daisy. “It’s pretty without being too much. Too much would be cheesy.”

Jared pushes his glasses up to rub at his eyes; by now they’re bloodshot and watering enough that he’s wiping tears away before they can dribble onto his cheeks. “Are you sure about the lavender? It kinda smells.”

“It smells nice in small doses. I’m only putting a few sprigs in.” You glance up at him. “How soon are you giving this to her?”

“Soon.” He shifts so he’s leaning his elbow on the counter like he did earlier. “Today, maybe.”

“Are you giving them to her on the date, or asking her out with them?”

“Which do you think is less cheesy?”

You give him a look. “Are you really this insecure?”

He sputters a little. “No! Obviously not. I just want to do this right.”

You sigh a little, although you’re smiling. There’s something endearing about this nervous side of Jared. “I think you should wait until you’re on the date to give them to her. Unless you’re not going out for a couple of days. The baby’s breath will last for a while, but the daisies won’t do so well.”

Jared grunts and begins to pick at a sprig of baby’s breath lying on the counter. You swat his hand away. “Stop, you’ll ruin it.”

“This is just extra, you already have a bunch in there.” He leans forward to inspect the flowers you’ve already put in the vase. “So what did you say your plans were for when you get off work?”

“I don’t know. I’ll probably just read or watch TV or something.”

“Wow, that’s exciting.” He waves the sprig of baby’s breath at you. “You know, you should really get a life.”

You make a face at him, but the teasing smile on his mouth keeps you from snapping back at him.

“What are you doing when you quit stalking me?” you ask. “Calling this girl you’ve been pining over for two months?”

“Maybe so.” He ducks his head and sneezes into the crook of his arm, his shoulders shuddering. When he looks back up at you, the tip of his nose is pink, and he groans a little. “Ugh. How long until you’re done?”

“Just a second. Are you okay?”

“Yeah, I’m good.” He wipes his wrist across his nose and then props his head up on his fist. “You should give me your number, since you have no life and obviously need someone to get you out of the house.”

You scoff at him. “You don’t know if I have a life!”

“I’ve known you for two months and basically all you like involves TV, reading, and music.”

“And all you like involves video games and building computers.”

The corner of his mouth jerks up in a smile. “Touché. But I hang out with Evan, at least. Do you hang out with anyone?”

The question brings a familiar ache to your chest. These hours spent with him are like spots of sunlight in your week. The rest is almost all just gray loneliness. “No. I mean, I want to, I just … I don’t really know anyone.”

“Not even from high school?”

“Not really. I had acquaintances, not friends.”

“Okay, I definitely need your number,” Jared says. “You can’t just stay home anymore. Also, you and Evan would get along obnoxiously well.”

“Is Evan the kid who likes trees?”

“Who’s obsessed with trees, yes.” There’s a marker next to your register, and Jared moves off the stool to grab it. Once he’s back on his stool, he holds the marker above his forearm. “What’s your number?”

You want to insist you have a life, but both of you know you don’t. And it would be nice to make some friends.

You give him your number while you finish the flower arrangement. It’s a little sparse, but there’s something cute about it. It has a kind of rustic look, like it’s made from wildflowers. There’s something sweeter about it than the overly full bouquets you’re used to making.

For a moment, you let yourself be jealous of whatever girl will be getting the flowers, but then you brush the thought away.

Jared moves to the other side of the counter and digs through his pockets while you ring him up. You almost wish your boss was here to see the flowers; for the price Jared’s paying, it’s a pretty cute bouquet. It’s the first time you really feel like you knew what you were doing when you created it.

Once Jared has paid, you hand him the flowers. As he reaches for the vase, your number stands out on his forearm, the writing big and dark on his pale skin. You motion at it. “Don’t forget to text me sometime. You know, since my life is so boring.”

For some reason, the bashful smile he had earlier makes a reappearance, and you feel your heart flip inside you. “I will,” he promises.

***

You’re at home lying on your bed, an episode of The Office playing on your laptop. You smile a little—Jared would probably laugh if he saw you right now; he was right, you really do have no life. Not that getting to lay around watching TV isn’t nice. But it would also be nice to have people to go out and do things with.

You yawn and stretch your legs out on your bed. After Jared left the flower shop, work dragged by. Some lady came in and yelled at you for an order someone apparently messed up. You didn’t recognize her or the description of the flowers she wanted, so you’re pretty sure it was a coworker’s fault, but unfortunately they weren’t there to endure the yelling. You think you dealt with it well, but it left you a little frazzled and with a slight headache.

Beside you, your phone buzzes. A text from an unfamiliar number scrolls across your screen. Are you home yet?????

That stupid, uncontrollable smile from earlier yanks at your mouth again. It’s silly, considering you saw him just a few hours ago, but you don’t care.

Yes, you reply, then add, Stalker.

You expect a snarky response, but instead your phone rings.

You hold the phone to your ear with one hand and pause The Office with the other. “Hello?”

“Hey,” Jared says. The sound of his voice makes you wish you were back at the flower shop with him. “Whatcha doing?”

“Being boring.” You sit up, your legs crisscrossing. “Did you call that girl yet?”

There’s a slight pause. “Yes.”

“And? What did she say?”

“I’m not sure yet.”

You make a face. “I don’t get it.”

He sucks in a deep breath that makes static fuzz in your ear. “This is lame, but so are the flowers, so I’m just going—”

“The flowers aren’t lame,” you say. “We’ve already been through this.”

“Okay, okay, sure, the flowers aren’t lame. But this is.”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about, so unfortunately I can’t reassure you.”

He laughs, but it comes out a little wobbly. It reminds you of the sudden shyness that came over him in the shop today.

“Like I said, this is lame, but just listen,” he says. You wait for several seconds before he speaks again. “Do you want to go out?”

You blink at the paused image of Pam and Jim talking on your laptop. “Like … on a date?”

“Yes, like on a date.”

“I—yes, but I thought …” Your heart pauses for a second as it dawns on you. Your mouth falls open, and for a moment all you can do is breathe wordlessly. Then you start laughing. “Oh my gosh, you dork! You’re such a dork!”

“Rude!” Jared says, but you can hear laughter in his voice. “I just asked you out!”

“After waiting two months!” You fall back on your bed, laughing so hard your ribs ache. “You made me make my own flower arrangement,” you gasp out.

“Yeah, well, I would have done it, but you wouldn’t even let me touch the baby’s breath,” he says. “Also I had to take a bunch of Benadryl when I got home, so I think we’re even.”

You feel dizzy with excitement and laughter, and it takes a couple seconds for you to calm down enough to suck in a deep breath. Something happy is happening inside you, something fluttery and warm and ticklish in between your ribs. “Obviously I’ll go out with you,” you say. “When were you thinking?”

“I was gonna say tonight, but the Benadryl kind of knocked me out, so my parents won’t let me drive.”

“I can come over,” you say. “You know how much I love hanging around the house watching TV.”

“I definitely do.” He lets several seconds pass before adding, “That seems really lame for a first date.”

“Oh my god, Jared, get over yourself.” You cup a hand to your cheek; it’s flushed with excitement. “I’ll be over in an hour.”

“Are you sure?” he asks.

The giddiness inside fades into something warmer … softer. Despite the way he spends most of the time teasing you, Jared Kleinman is not as cocky as he seems. There’s a gentler, less sure side of himself, too, a side that makes you like him even more. You’ve been a little in love with that louder, more confident side of him since the first time he came into the shop and started chatting with you, and you can feel yourself falling fast for this deeper, more serious part of him.

You like Jared for all of him, and it makes your voice go quieter as you tell him, “I’m sure.”

“I’ll text you my address.” The smile you’ve come to look forward to so much over the past two months fills his voice, and it makes your stomach ignite with butterflies. “Your flowers will be waiting.”

When I was with him, I was always on cloud nine. We had been together for three years, then suddenly one day, he breaks up with me. He never explained or gave me a reason, just shattered me completely. I was at home that day, finding out the most amazing news, I was pregnant. Jensen would be thrilled or so I thought, I never got the chance to tell him.

Instead I was packing my bags and leaving my life behind. The worst thing though, Jared, Misha, and Mark stopped talking to me. Vicki was the only one who kept in contact with me after everything. She never understood why it happened, it was so random. So, I moved to Dallas, I found a little ranch with a couple horses. It wasn’t much but it was home, something I had lost along the way.

I didn’t tell anyone about the pregnancy, so I just went through the pregnancy alone. I found out I was having a girl, and I was ecstatic. I was eight months pregnant when I was spotted by Gen at a store, I was picking out things for the nursery and she saw my huge bump. I saw her walk up to me with a questioning look on her face. I sighed “It’s Jen’s, I never got a chance to tell him” I started crying and got out of the store as fast as I could.

Once I got home, I sobbed until my eyes hurt, that’s when the calls started. Now they wanted to talk? I turned off my phone and decided to get a new phone number tomorrow, right now I was starving. So, I grabbed my food for the night, and vegged out on the couch. I knew it was a matter of time before they would find me.

I did the only thing I could think of and sold the farm, I packed up my truck and loaded the horses on the trailer. I had left a note with the realtor to give if one of them came around. So, I left Texas completely, I went to Nebraska. I found a beautiful little farm that I could settle in nicely. I was about a week overdue at this point, and I was never more scared in my life.

I had a sweet older gentleman helping me with the chores, and feedings of the animals. I woke up this morning not feeling well, so I left a note on the door asking him to watch over the animals while I went to the ER. Once I made it, I knew I was in labor, they got me settled and the contractions started growing closer and closer together.

Once it was time to push, I found every ounce of energy to push. It felt like a lifetime of pushing, until I heard her cries. They placed her on my chest and I fell in love already, she had his eyes and dirty blonde locks. I missed him so much but she’s my connection to him, she was amazing. I decided on Ava Rae y/l/n, she was beautiful and she was mine.

I was in the hospital for three days, and then we could go home. I carried her into the house and took her to my room. I put her in the bassinet and laid down for a nap, I woke up to hearing her crying. I looked at the clock and knew she needed to be fed, I got comfortable and watched her with amazement. Once I knew she was fed, I burped her, changed her and then put her back down.

I heard a knock on the door and hesitantly opened the door to see Dave, my ranch hand. “The misses made some meals for ya” “Thank you so much” “She was happy to do it, and a gentleman came by and dropped this off for ya” I grabbed the letter and opened it up. I knew the hand writing, but he didn’t deserve a chance. “I know it’s none of my business, but he looked like a man who lost something very important”

I made him a cup of coffee and explained what had happened over the course of what had happened. I could see the sadness in his eyes, he could also see how I still felt about Jay. “You should talk to him, I’m not saying take him back but that little one needs a momma and daddy.” “Your right Dave, I should at least talk to him” We said our goodnights and I sent Jay a text to come back around lunch time.

Lunch time came quicker than I expected, I had made a small lunch and waited for him to knock. I waited all day, and he never showed. It came to about ten at night when I heard a knock on the door. I opened the door to see him with a bouquet of pink roses, I scoffed and walked away leaving the door open for him to come in.

I heard Ava crying, so I went to check on her and I knew automatically she was hungry. I picked her up gently and grabbed a blanket to cover me up while we talked. It was a tense silence, neither of us knowing what to say. “Why are you here? You broke up with me” “I know and I will never be sorrier with how things happened” “Why did you? I was always faithful and always by your side” “I thought you were cheating, I saw you pulling away and thought the worse” “You couldn’t talk to me? Instead, you dump me when I needed you most”

“When Gen came over that day and told me what was going on, I broke right there, I sobbed the whole day at how I treated you. I tried calling and tried tracking you down, but it was no use” Once Ava was done I fixed my shirt and patted her on the back. I walked over to him and put her in his arms. “Jen, I want you to meet Ava Rae”

He smiled a watery smile and looked down to see this little human being we both had created. “Y/n please come back, I miss you, actually we all miss you. I will do whatever it takes to make it up to you and this little one.” I sat on the couch and just cried, I was absolutely broken and the walls came down. He sat down next to me with Ava in his arms. “I missed you so much Jensen” “I missed you too honey, please come home” “I would love too”

He kissed me, just like he always had, there was no time lost. Over the next week, we had everything packed and ready. I put the ranch in Dave’s name, and he was happy that we had fixed things. I did hear him threaten Jay that if he pulled that stunt again he would be castrated. I hugged him tightly and thanked him for the help, and he just reminded me that I was the daughter he never had.

We packed and headed back to Austin, I was ready to be home, ready to be around the people that I call family.

Heart to heart.

Part 5 of ‘My son, Bringer of Storms.’

The next Friday, you were standing in front of your fridge, glaring at it. “How dare you.” You mumbled. “I’m starving, and you might as well be empty.” Nothing looked appetizing enough. Shutting the fridge with a sigh, you turned to the counter and opened the bottom drawer, and pulled out some take-out menus.

You were bent over the counter flipping through them when you heard a knock at your door. “Coming!” When you pulled it open, you were surprised to see Jared. “Hey. I thought you were heading home, like usual?”

He shook his head. “Gen’s..” He shrugged. “She’s still pretty pissed at me. It was strongly hinted at that I should probably stay away for a bit.” He licked his lips.

Catch Up Here: Masterpost

It was hard getting up for work that next morning. After a mostly sleepless night, you had woken up before your alarm clock, seeing more notifications and even a couple of text messages. Wanting nothing more than to ignore them, you at least checked the text messages, seeing a couple from Jared, and one from your boss. Jared was concerned about you, needing to talk to you, while your boss was expecting a meeting as soon as you got to the lot.

Sighing, you rubbed your hand over your face. Today was going to be a horrible day, you just knew it, and the horrible things you had read last night kept running through your mind. People had been ruthless, mainly towards you, even though a couple had gone after Jared as well. Insults about going after an older man, about using him to further your career. You had been called everything from a gold digger to a slut, even a home breaker. You had always considered yourself a nice girl, one who was kind and cared about others. Having people say these things about you was hard to take, and you weren’t sure what you were going to do.

Slipping out of bed, you slipped on a pair of leggings, along with a sweatshirt. Throwing your hair up in a messy bun, you knew it didn’t matter. Make up would fix you up before you had to do any lines. If you had to do any lines, considering they might end your contract due to the negative publicity.
