this is why i want her in the special!

anonymous asked:

I just don't understand why some fans would want Leia to have slept with a bunch of people before Han? Leia never seemed like the type of girl to be into casual sex and in my view it really ruins the specialness of her relationship with Han if she's done it with a bunch of people before. I just don't understand why any Han/Leia fan wouldn't want her to be a virgin before Han if they value their relationship.

A relationship isn’t more special because one of them is a virgin. Whether Leia was a virgin or not, how does that change their relationship? And why is the fact that Han was most likely not a virgin not a bother to fans at all? I’m sorry but this is pure sexism.

Jasper: “…I wonder if people ever think…oh god, this burger is so good I wanna die and then watch the gravestones and are like oooh nevermind, that was so disrespectful. I like the thought. Yeah. Will the people sit at the diner, looking at the graveyard and wonder why I’m gone? To be honest, I guess nobody will care. Pretty girls come and go. Nothing special. Goodbye.”

Jasper stared blankly at the diary.

Jasper: “That’s it? That’s her last entry? Talking about burgers? That’s what she wanted to write down before she-”

His voice cracked but Murphy didn’t know what to say. He knew no way to comfort him. He imagined the last entry to be heartbroken, sad and full of despair. But these words they sounded like…like she was totally fine with how it was. As if Faye had decided her fate long ago.

Chapter 2

“Come on now babe, put the gun down. We both know you ain’t going to shoot me. Specially with you know who right there,” The Savior gesture his head to the corner of the room while he grin at her. “Plus, if my boss hears that gun go off, shit will go down. Do you want that for you and your friends?”

“One, my name is Melinda, not babe.” She pulled the hammer back. “Two, why did you think I got the blanket and headphones for? Three, I asked you nicely to get out of my house and you refuse. Four, I don’t give a shit about your boss. You and him can both go suck each other off for all I care. Now, go.”

“I think your forgetting our deal we have here, babe.” He started smiling at her as he saw the anger in her grow. “Your belongs, aren’t yours anymore. They belong to Negan now. Everything in Alexandria belongs to Negan. Your friends belong to Negan. You belong to Negan. And” He looked at the corner again and back to her. “Even..”

“Shut up!” Her voice cause him to jump and put his hands up in defense. “Now, I’m only going to say this one last time, get the hell out of my house.”

“Yeah about that babe.” His smile return to his face as he stood back up. “I don’t think so.”

Alright, since my day has been pretty awful I’m gonna share the only thing that’s kept me smiling all day. Tomorrow is a huge day for me, why? Because its this blogs first birthday. I think I’ll start this post with some special thanks to some of the people I’ve met on here.

So first off, I want to thank @theskylarksings Sky was there for me in the beginning (well actually past like… 9 months but whatever) she’s been with me through some pretty rough shit, and she probably knows more about me then anyone else on this list. Thanks to her I’ve excepted myself more (though only slightly, more progress to come) she’s my go too when I’ve got problems or something on my mind, like seriously I can tell her anything. I will be eternally grateful for this amazing friendship.

Next I want to thank @a-dreadful-personal-blog when I felt alone, when everyone I knew had disappeared, Cori shoved his way into my life. I don’t even remember when he became so important to me, but I do know that knowing him has been one if the best things I’ve ever experienced. He’s always there to listen, and with him (just like with everyone else on this list) I don’t have to worry about not being myself because he’s just so excepting. He doesn’t think I’m crazy (well maybe slightly)

Alrighty, next I think I wanna thank @keepingcalmisoverratedgoddamnit Georgia reminds me every day that even the little things are huge. When I talk to her I always smile because she makes me remember that the little victories are huge ones as well. That reminder is sometimes what gets me through the day

@hisshissimnagini Mya was one of the first people I’ve opened up to on here, she talked with me on those nights where I was missing my dad so much I was in tears, I discovered bits of myself with her. I don’t think I’ve ever met someone with so much patience. I’ve got lots to learn from her still (I have plenty to learn from everyone here I guess)

@draco-rex I’m not gonna lie, when I first met Draco I was terrified. I was scared I’d do r say something wrong and he’d never talk to me again, but in the past month we’ve… Bonded very quietly. It kinda started when I was crying and needed someone to talk to. He was there, and he always has been when I just need someone to listen. He laughs at my stupid jokes and reminds me to breath when I have a bad day

Last (but definitely not least) I would want to thank @supernatural-official Dani… God without her I’d probably be someone completely different. She’s always smiling, and has this way about her that makes it impossible for me not to be happy. She’s done a lot for me, and I don’t think I could ever repay that dept.

OKAY NOW THAT THATS OVER (geez Logan that was a lot of typing) I WANNA GET INTO THE HISTORY OF MY BLOG

so for anyone who’s been here since the very beginning, you’ll probably know that at one point this blog was named something else. Yeah, that was back in the first few months, I regret that name more than anything (I mean, nothing is as spectacular as dem-gabriel-tho) it was, if I remember correctly, ishouldgotobedsoon. God awful, right? Yeah that’s why I changed it. In the past year I’ve gotten 629 followers, which is HUGE!! When I first made this account I thought I’d have 20, at best. But look where I am now, and I don’t mean to brag or anything, no no no that’s not my style. I’m only pointing thus out because every day I look at my follower count and I remember, that’s 629 people that would miss me if I left. Sometimes when my worlds falling apart I remember, I’ve got all you idiots who thought it was a good idea to follow this trash blog, and damn it I love you all

So finally, my final note. I’m gonna talk about why I made this blog. To anyone who knows me, they know this past month has been hell. The 5th was the Tyree year anniversary of my dads death, which means right now isn’t really the best of times for me. It was the exact same way a year ago, and I was also suspended from school at the time (its a long story). With everything going on in my life, I needed a place to he myself and to have distractions from this hell. Tumblr is my own little coping mechanism, I relay on it for the ability to get through each day. I’ve needed that for the past year, so I really fucking love this hell hole. It may be trash, but its definitely the best thing that ever happened to me. Anyway, sorry for the long post, I love you all and I want to thank each and every follower for following me. I couldn’t do it without y'all, peace out

PLEASE TELL THE CHILDREN THE STORY OF MS. STUBELS

Grace fuck, why would you invoke her name like that???

Okay, fine, gather round children, buckle up because we’re going on a bumpy ride back to everyone’s collective least favorite place: 7th grade.

Some background: I went to a very small Catholic school. One class per grade (we were the largest with 19 kids), everyone knew each other whether they wanted to or not. Despite basically every teacher and faculty members insistence that we were The Best And Most Special Class In The School and that everyone loved having us, the longstanding 7th grade teacher Mrs. O’Hara decided to retire in the summer of 2008, meaning the school had to find us a new teacher for the upcoming year. This would be like, the first new teacher in the school in a while, and as she was getting the ‘best class’, it was viewed as a Big Deal. Somewhere in like July or August we got a letter announcing Mrs. Stubel, and it came with a list of books to pick for the summer reading, and that was basically all the information we had.

So…the first day of class. She seems nice enough. Very…ditsy, I guess? It was very easy for her to get herself off topic while talking. She constantly paced around the room, never staying in one spot for longer than a second, complaining she has restless leg syndrome. Which like, I’m sure she did, but she was in the middle of introducing herself and then went on a 20 minute tangent about restless leg syndrome without anyone prompting her. It was almost like you could see her scattered thoughts flying around her head.

So anyone, she eventually gives somewhat of an introduction- she had only taught in public schools before, and kept worrying she ‘didn’t know’ how to teach in a Catholic school despite the entire class insisting literally nothing was different, you just teach the curriculum, twice a week we have religion class with Sister Mary King, that’s literally it (she still talked over us in worry), she told us about her kids, she told us about her obsession with Emily Dickinson, stuff like that.

And then she hands us this worksheet.

She’s like, “Oh, these are just some basic questions for you to answer! Just so I can get to know you guys better!” like in lieu of an icebreaker game, which is fine, but…the questions. The questions were all “What is your most haunting fear?”, “What is your deepest regret?”, “Have you ever experienced the pain of loss?”, “What was your worst injury?”, “What was your worst nightmare?”, all questions like that, and then on the back she wanted us to draw a gravestone and write out what we wanted our epitaph to be.

We were twelve year olds, mind you.

Oh my God and one girl missed the first day because of her grandmother’s funeral, so when she came the next day and saw what the teacher was insisting she do for homework, she almost had a panic attack? And the lady still made her do it? Literally who wants to think about death anymore at a time like that omfg.

Okay, so then we get to the summer reading book reports, right? Now, she had given a list of maybe, 20 books that you could pick from, read it, and then present an oral report on it. You had to have notecards and you had to be able to answer questions from the class at the end. All in all, I’ve had worse projects.

So, on this list, she apparently put Madeleine L’Engle’s entire book series on the list…only she did not make it known that this was a series and not multiple stand alone books, so when reports started up it caused mass-panic of kids trying to put together plot points and make connections on what the hell they had read.

I was the only kid in the class who had chosen to read “A Wrinkle In Time”, and that has since lead to a series of events that…really actually scares me, I’m still incredibly freaked out, I’m not going to get into it right now because it’ll take away from the current story, but just know that I’m not above wondering if it only happened because I read the book for Stubel.

Anyway, so like, I got through the report okay. The class asking questions about it was fine, but the teacher kept asking questions that didn’t make sense, like, at all. My friend Angie has always had super neat handwriting and Mrs. Stubel got like, obsessed with her notecards and asked if she could borrow them for something. When we got our grades back a few weeks later, Angie had points taken off for not having notecards.

And then her teaching just…didn’t happen. She’d never stay on a topic, she’d always get herself distracted! We were not learning anything. And like, this wasn’t a class of advanced smart kids that loved to learn. By all accounts we should’ve been thrilled. But it got out of hand. It got to points where we had to start teaching lessons to ourselves, asking teacher from other grades for help, always coming home in tears, complaining constantly to our parents and the principal because this woman wasn’t teaching us anything. There were two kids who asked her multiple times for extra help, and she told them each time to ‘talk to me after school’, but then she’d leave immediately after school so they wouldn’t be able to talk to her. They finally brought up the issue in the middle of class and she had a breakdown, yelling about how nobody ever thinks that maybe the teacher has a lot of work to do, and maybe she’s entitled to taking off early, but when we tried to argue she shouldn’t schedule meetings and then break them off in the name of relaxation, she stormed out of the room and tried to get the principal to give us detention. (Which, like, our school didn’t even do, and she was the only one in the wrong during this situation) We are still in September at this point, and already at least ten kids have parents considering transferring them to another school. (And remember, there was only 19 of us, and most of the class had been together since preschool, so that was a big deal).

Then, she starts coming in with all the weird bruises. All the Moms™ immediately started gossiping that her husband had to be beating her, and that’s why she was so screwy in the head. But the way she talked about her husband made it seem like he *might* be dead, and we actually did witness her fall and smack her head into a doorknob once, so no one really knew what to believe. (Also, I’m not trying to imply that abuse would make someone crazy or ‘damaged’ or anything, this is just what was being said. I think they were trying to turn her into a more sympathetic character, because if you feel sorry for her you don’t have to hate her for frustrating your kids so much, and Hate Is A Bad Emotion.)

Also…this woman and Emily Dickinson.

She talked about Emily Dickinson every chance she could get. None of us knew who Emily Dickinson really was before she got there and you could see in her mind it was a capitol offense. She found out the curriculum didn’t have room to cover her (because like, we had a text book), and was way too upset about it. She started reading her poems whenever she found the time (usually somewhere in history class), and always gave us very detailed accounts about her dressing up as Emily and reading her poetry at the library.

Now, two things to note here:

  1. The library did not hire her to do this. She would literally just get in the mood, put on an Emily Dickinson costume that she made by herself, drive to different libraries, and just read poetry out loud to everyone there until someone eventually asked her to leave.
  2. The way she described these events…her tone, the look on her face, her posture…you could just tell that she was getting some sort of sexual gratification out of this? Like dressing up as Emily Dickinson in public and reading her sad poems is really what got this lady’s jollies rocking? Got her all hot and bothered? Which is…a lot, but why would you tell a bunch of seventh graders about it holy shit. What about that sounds like a good idea! What about that turns you back on!

So anyway, we learned a lot about Emily Dickinson against our will.

One of the Davids™ was reading a book for pleasure- which shouldn’t have been a shocker, a lot of kids always had books on them, but Stubel got really interested and asked if she could borrow it from him. He was like ‘sure, after I finish it?’ but she took it that day. He asked her for it back for like five weeks straight.

And…the strudels.

Okay, so the school was trying some dorky thing to promote ~togetherness~ or some virtue or something, I don’t remember the specifics of why, but each class had to make a huge themed poster and hang it on the wall outside the classroom. Which was like, whatever, not the most thrilling project but at least it allowed us to be productive vs just sitting there as the teacher runs about the room rambling about her family vacation from four years ago. Mrs. Stubel decided we needed a quirky nickname and after like three days of deliberation we were christened “Stubel’s Special Strudels”!

(points for alliteration or whatever, but no one actually voted for that and what exactly do strudels have to do with Catholicism? It became a big running joke amongst the kids)

Also, in case you were wondering, she didn’t explain the assignment correctly to us- so every other class had like these beautiful, artistic, well-themed and put together posters, while ours was just…literally a bunch of shit thrown together on paper. Nothing fit with each other, it was literally embarrassing to look at.

But then…she wouldn’t drop the strudel thing. Like she kept bringing it up. She got really into strudels and would just tell us random shit about them. Finally, someone jokes that we should get strudels one day for a party (like instead of a pizza party), and she’s Freaking Out and On Board. She really wants to buy us strudels and have a breakfast party now. She talked about it for like two days straight.

So like… you know in school when you would have a pizza party, usually the teacher would buy it? That’s how they always happened in my experience (not counting the last day of 10th grade when some kid had pizza delivered to the school for lunch but it didn’t get there until math class lol). But especially in grade school? Like if it wasn’t a PTA made party that’s super organized, the school would buy the food, right? Right?

Yeah, so she was like, if this is happening you guys need to give me the money. Just give me the money and then I’ll pick them up on my way to work!! And after some arguing some kids are on board. Strudels should only cost a couple dollars right?

And she’s like, oh no, I’m gonna get them from this high end bakery near my house so it’ll be special, but they’re not cheap and it’ll be a big order! I’m gonna need like fifteen dollars from each of you!

And at this point I’m just like…lady. Come on.

But she keeps insisting. She’s not gonna go until every student in class pays up.

And I’m like…I’m poor. I don’t even like strudel.  And some of the less-naïve kids are siding with me.

And then she pulls that “you guys are just spoiling all the fun for your classmates” shit, like the naïve kids who already paid up, so it gets to the point where we just gotta cave and give her the money.

(I ended up stealing it out of my Crazy Bitch Aunt’s wallet so it’s whatever, I guess.)

And then of course, shockingly enough, every morning she was met with “where are the strudels?” and every morning she went wide eyed, slapped her forehead and yelled in embarrassed horror “I totally forgot! Tomorrow, guys, I promise!”

Honestly, with how scatterbrained and confused she always was…like to this day I can’t tell you with 100% certainty whether she hustled us or was just actually forgetting about the damn pastries, I choose to lean towards the hustled us side because that’s just the type of people I’m used to, but if I found out it was innocent forgetfulness I wouldn’t exactly be surprised.

She couldn’t handle more than one person talking at a time. Like, we’d have break periods, or group work, or something and all the talking made her go wide-eyed and batty. She’d look overworked and anxious and would be darting around the room trying to do work or something but she couldn’t focus and she’d yell at anyone who tried to talk to her directly. I remember one time she was using this boys desk for something so he asked “where am I supposed to sit?” and she snapped “Sit on the ceiling for all I care!”. And this kid was the Class Clown™ , so he immediately grabbed a chair in one hand and started climbing the bookcase to try and reach the ceiling. She’s standing right next to this and doesn’t even notice. He got all four chair legs planted on the ceiling and was trying to somehow maneuver his way into the chair (I really don’t know what the plan was exactly- he was really tall and it was a small building, so I think he probably had the idea that if he can get his body upside down and in the chair, and stretch out his arms like a hand-stand to hold onto bookcase, he could arguably sit on the ceiling.) but he slipped. Crashed into my desk and the two desks next to me, knocked over the book case, broke the chair in half and hit the desks with enough force to knock them down lower. It was hilarious. Everyone was loosing their shit cracking up (he was fine) and it still took Stubel like five minutes to notice his lying out across the desks right in front of her eyes. She was pissed but how did she miss any of it in the first place? She was barely being helpful in whatever it was she was trying to do.

This was the year the Phillies were going to the World Series, and all the grades were having a Phillies Rally in the cafeteria so a news crew was coming to the school and each class was supposed to come up with fun little cheers for them to broadcast. Multiple cheer ideas were presented to her and she vetoed all of them, someone even suggested just singing the damn eagles theme song with replaced words and calling it a day but she vetoed that too, she was very adamant that she could come up with a cheer all by herself and it’ll be the best one (whoever had the best cheer was winning like an ice cream day or something idk). And then like…literally five minutes before the rally she just hands us signs with the letters and was like ‘we’re just gonna spell out Phillies it will be cute won’t it my strudels???’. We were the weakest class there, predictably. I think we lost to the kindergarteners. There might still be a video online of me yelling “ i “ passionately at the top of my lungs. It was online bc our cheer was so bland the news crew cut it out of the broadcast.

I literally can’t say enough about how she never taught us anything. She’d be going on some tangent about how she doesn’t understand the science behind skiing, and I’d be like “Okay yes but please can you just tell me where Romania is on a map???” And she’d start fights whenever someone actually wanted to learn. It was so easy to get her angry but so hard for her to stay on topic. Kids started teaching the class themselves! Like seriously, she’d be rambling and one of us would just go up to the podium, open the teacher’s guide textbook and just start reading out loud and talking over her. By the time she noticed we’d be halfway through a lesson. And we understood it better than when she tried! You know something’s wrong when pre-teens are more qualified for a job than an adult who supposedly went to school for this.

We were in the church having run-throughs for our upcoming Confirmation and she almost set the church on fire…fifteen different times. In less than half an hour. How hard is it to hold a candle?

Okay, and here’s when stuff starts kicking up. It was October 28th, a Tuesday, and it was our last day of school that week because they were having parent-teacher conferences the rest of the week. So we were just hanging out, watching movies in class and reading (lord knows we weren’t learning), and Stubel calls me over to her desk.

So like, she had given everyone little bags with candy for Halloween, but I get up there and she hands me an extra one. And she’s like “Molly I know your birthday is tomorrow and I bought you a present but I left it on my coffee table this morning by accident! So just have the candy for now!”

And I’m like….”Ma’am I’m like, the sixth birthday this year. You didn’t give anyone else presents?”

And she goes “Oh, I know but this is a special secret surprise. I just know you’re gonna love it! Do you wanna stop by my house later this week to pick it up or should I just give it to you Monday after school?”

And like…In writing this sounds like a non-threatening exchange, and like, it was, but I felt so uncomfortable holy shit. I’m looking over my shoulder and shooting my friends SOS signals. Something about this felt so weird in my gut omfg. I told her thanks and I’d just see her Monday.

So we flash forward to Wednesday- my 13th birthday, the day the Phillies won the world series, and also the day my mother innocently strolled into the school for her meeting only to be met with screaming, the sound of heavy destruction, and the school secretary Mrs. Daily running at her in a panic, waving her arms and yelling “YOUR MEETING IS CANCELLED YOUR MEETING IS CANCELLED GET IN MY OFFICE NOW!”

So my poor mother, who thought she could handle this whole meeting in a few minutes and barely be an hour late for work, is now barricaded in the front office with the school secretary, as the noises from down the hall get louder and louder. The woman explains that they had gotten so many complaints about Mrs. Stubel that this morning, when she got to the school, the principal Sister Patricia called her in and said “Listen, we need you to be professional and still have the parent conferences, but we have to let you go. We just don’t think you fit in well here, and the kids need to come first and feel comfortable in their school.” and like, I’m paraphrasing because I wasn’t there, but we all know she was very polite and professional about it.

Mrs. Stubel, however…was not.

She flipped her chair and stormed out of the office, and locks herself in the seventh grade classroom. She started wrecking the shit out of that place, screaming obscenities and the top of her lungs, they had to call the cops on her! She was locked in there for almost an hour! And let me just give you a nice little list of everything she did in that classroom:

  • Smashed three windows.
  • Threw everything off her desk and carved swear words all over it.
  • Got cleaning fluid that she knew would damage the chalk boards, smeared it all over.
  • Cracked the chalk boards by repeatedly smashing chairs against them.
  • Wrote swear words all over the walls and on desks
  • Went into students desks, ripped up their books.
  • Stole my glasses. (which were in my desk bc I only used them in class at the time)
  • Threw some desks around.
  • Carved swear words into the boards. (there was so much carving I’m assuming she just had a knife on her person, which has to lead to the question, did she have a knife on her while she was in class with us?)
  • Physically ripped the hooks to hang backpacks on out of the wall.
  • Knocked the closet door off it’s hinges.
  • Ripped up all the books in the bookcases and threw their pages all around the room.
  • Wrote lewd phrases inside student’s desks.
  • Broke multiple chairs.
  • Used her podium as a battering ram against the wall that’s in front of where the backpacks go. (the wall won but Damage Was Inflicted)
  • Set a fire in the trash can.
  • When the principal and other teachers started trying to get in, she tossed her rolling chair at the door to scare them off.
  • She was screaming curse words at the top of her lungs the entire time, and cursing the school and the kids and the principal and the church in general, and the school building was small, so all the parents and the smaller children that had to come to the meetings (who were locked in their respective classrooms in fear) heard everything.
  • So much more? But it’s 4:30 in this morning and this list is already long.

So my mom is in the front office and deadass the

entire police force

shows up, running down the hallway to the classroom yelling at her to stop, and it takes a while for them to get her out holy shit. They knocked down the door and she tried to escape out of one of the broken windows! But they got her and dragged her out.

So of course, in such a small school with very involved parents this shit spread like wildfire. The entire town knew within the day. The poor principal called the newly retired old-seventh grade teacher and was like “So we…need some help” and the lady was like “I already heard I’ll be there Monday” omfg. I remember I got a text from one of my classmates saying “if your birthday wish was for us to be set free from the beast I love you” omfg.

So, we eventually go back to school on Monday and everyone’s buzzing. The principal has us go to the cafeteria and she ‘delicately’ explains the situation, and that the old teacher is coming out of retirement for us, the school has a restraining order against Mrs. Stubel now and that she’s sorry we had to deal with this mess. Our classroom had to go under some heavy reconstruction before we could be let back in there, so for like two weeks we alternated between the cafeteria and the preschooler’s classroom, we had no books or anything, just provided loose-leaf paper and pens. It was like, surreal, but everyone was just so happy to be rid of her and to be in the presence of a competent teacher omfg. We eventually were able to get back into our usual classroom.

  1. It took a while for things to go completely back to normal, though. After the big spectacle she made, for weeks after she was fired we were all very scared of the possibility of Mrs. Stubel returning to the school with a gun in hand. It was always a topic we whispered about at lunch with wide eyes and shivers. Like…genuine nightmare scenario.
  2. About two weeks after she was fired, a boy in the back of the classroom gasped loudly during SSR, and when we all looked at him, he whispered in anger “She never gave us our freakin’ strudels!”
  3. About three months after she was fired, we were lined up at the door to go to Library when a few of us looked through the windows and saw something darting through the trees. It was fast and we couldn’t make anything out, so we let it drop. When the class and teacher returned half and hour later, the book she had borrowed months before from one of the boys was sitting on his desk. It was just laying there, the room was silent, nothing had been disturbed…but I have never seen a book look so threatening. People were freaking out. Someone kept insisting that she turned the book into a bomb. No one figure out how she got in the school, and no one could figure out how she got it on the right desk, as we had switched the seating arrangement since she had last been there.
  4. A full six months after she had left, it was nearing the end of the school year and our class was dicking around during our last computer class. Someone found a website (that we weren’t allowed to be on) that pulls up any police records attached to whoever’s name you enter, so someone decided to search Mrs. Stubel as a joke. We ended up finding out she had like six DUI’s.

Aaaaand that’s the story of the horrendous teacher I had for two months in 7th grade. One of my favorite party stories but tbh she still haunts me™ .

BTS Explain Concepts Behind ‘Love Yourself: Her’ Album: 'This Is the Beginning of Our Chapter Two’

Mere hours before the release of BTS'Love Yourself: Her, the album’s significance wasn’t lost on the group’s leader, Rap Monster.

“It’s really a huge, big step for us,” the 23-year-old rapper/songwriter/producer told Billboard during a phone call from Seoul. “Of course, every member is so excited about the album. We’ve been just practicing until now, day and night, to show these new songs and perfected performances. I left a message on our fan cafe, the other day, after we finished that 'this EP will mark the turning point of BTS’ and even though the wait felt really long with this album – I think it was the huge event, the BBMAs, were in May – so much has happened.”

The wait has been particularly anticipated for for the band’s famously passionate fan base, known as Army, who have been waiting for new tracks from Rap Monster, Jimin, Suga, J-Hope, Jin, V and Jungkook band after voting them Top Social Artist at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards over fellow pop juggernauts Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez and Shawn Mendes.

Since then, the BTS guys have landed distribution deals with Amazon and U.S.-based The Orchard (“We believe the physical album, still, really counts and it’s really important to connect with our fans around the world,” Rap Monster said) and hung out with worldwide chart-toppers like Major Lazer, Halsey, Charli XCX(“Maybe it’s just my sixth sense, but I think maybe we will be collaborating with even more interesting artists,” he added); even snagging The Chainsmokers to produce a beat for Love Yourself: Her.

One listen to the tightly produced record – which looks likely to make a big splash on the Billboard 200 next week – and the passion is palpable from the intense lead single “DNA,” the societal commentary in “Go Go,” among multiple lyrics and moments that feel ripped from the members’ personal journals. There’s also loads of passion in Rap Monster’s voice talking about these new songs as he sees and envisions the larger picture and message for his band’s latest batch of forward-thinking EDM, hip-hop and pop tracks. Read on for Billboard’s deeper analysis of Love Yourself: Her with Rap Monster.

Let’s start right from the beginning with “Serendipity.” Why was this the right song to choose as the intro and kick off the era?

When I wrote the lyrics, melodies and the first themes of “Serendipity,” I tried to come up with some rare things you find in life, something very special, like the calico, three-striped cat; things that have extraordinary meanings in people’s lives. I wanted to share this moment.

I was reading the lyrics are gender neutral, which I think is really powerful. Was that a conscious decision?

The lyrics were based on rare and special things in life. So, I thought, those feelings transcend genders, cultures and barriers between people.

We always put out the “Intro” just before releasing our single, so the intro is taking the role of telling the concept of this album. But “Serendipity” was actually the right song to share the feelings of our single, “DNA.” The title is about how our DNA is connected in the universe, I think that was the right feel for this album.

Let’s talk about “DNA.” How does this single continue and progress the story of BTS?

When we’re talking about our title tracks, “DNA” is about the expression of a young, passionate love. The lyrics are like, “The two of us our connected fatefully from the start, our DNA was just the one thing.” At the same time, “DNA” is taking BTS to new ground. We tried to apply new grammar and perspectives – if you listen to the song, you’ll understand what I’m trying to say – it’s very different from our previous music, technically and musically. I believe it’s going to be the starting point of a second chapter of our career; the beginning of our Chapter Two.

“Best of Me” is really impressive. It sounds like The Chainsmokers, but it also sounds like BTS. You didn’t lose yourself which isn’t easy when collaborating with new artists. What was that process like?

I love that track! We met them at BBMAs, we were so lucky. Actually, they invited us to their concert just the other day – they had a huge concert in Korea and we sang “Closer” together. For “Best of Me,” they gave us several tracks and samples months ago, we and our producers picked one sample, like, “Okay, this is fit for our next album.” So we worked on it, we sent it to them, we asked them what they think of the track we developed and got their opinions. And we made it! I’m so excited for it. [Laughs]

Your albums always have deeper social and society commentaries. Let’s talk about some of the topics with this release. “Go Go” instantly comes to mind.

“Go Go” is a trendy song, but it’s about how our young generation are living their lives with low expectations and standards so people are upset with reality; they have little hope and there’s so much economic hardship. We wanted to say something about it and emphasize to the world that it’s not their choice, but brutal reality that forces people to live and spend as if there’s no future.

But in Korea, “YOLO” has become a big key word for young people because we don’t have money and it’s really hard to get a chance to earn a lot of money. I think society has a lot of problems for young people. Young people spend their money on claw crane machines at arcades and they spend like $30 on trying to win these dolls. And then it’s like, “Oh! I spent all my money…shit. But I don’t regret.” That’s the biggest luxury for Korea’s young people: collecting accessories, cosmetics, that’s what they think is a luxury. It’s “YOLO” because it’s like, “I’m gonna buy all this! I’m gonna buy all this food and I’m going to eat it! I’m going to do it!” I think it’s sad because it’s all we can. “Go Go” is just saying, “Okay, just do it, we won’t regret it. Just spend several bucks on the machine and eat the food!” But at the same time, the song is very easily to sing along to so I think many people will like that song, especially if they find the deeper meaning.

Of course, I have to ask about making a skit interlude out of your BBMAs acceptance speech.

You need to hear “Mic Drop” because the skit was my speech at BBMAs –  because that was a big moment for our history – and then we put “Mic Drop” next to that because it’s like a flex – like, “Okay, we’re done. We don’t need to give a shit about anything.” That was the right skit and follow-up song for this album.

The last song, “Outro: Her” really spoke to me. It almost reads like a diary.

Ha! [Laughs]

After talking with you, it feels like it recaps the whole album and is really introspective.

I think that was the fastest work I did for this album. I wrote the verse in 20 minutes; it just came, very truthfully, from the bottom of my heart. I thought it was the right outro for this album because it is really a range of emotions – I’m saying I met this person that I really love, this person is the love of my life right now, I’m saying that I was confused and I was looking for love and this world is complex. But I think it’s you so, “I call you 'her,’ 'cause you’re my tear.” “I think you’re the start and the end of me.” That’s what I’m saying: You’re my wonder, but you’re also my answers. You’re my “her,” but you’re still the “tear.”

The hook is saying that love is not all about the happiness, it’s just not just about the joy, it’s not just about delight. If you want to love a person, you should know that there are tears and there can even be hatred inside of it. I think a love really includes all of that. That’s what I was trying to say. It’s complex.

And if fans are so lucky to own the physical album, they’ll hear two hidden tracks at the very. Why keep them secretive?

I think they’re hidden because you have to be a real fan of BTS to understand them. Otherwise, you won’t. Otherwise, you’d like be, “Why are they feeling so confused about things? They’re good?!? They’re No. 1 somewhere, they have so much stuff, why are they worried?” People always talk about that. But if you are true fan of BTS and you buy the album and you listen to the hidden track – if you are an Army and we spent time together from 2013, 2014 – they could understand. It’s kind of more special, more closer, to our true hearts.

Padparadscha is blind! (SPOILERS WARNING!)

In the new Steven Universe special we are introduce to a group of gems who calls themselves Off Colors, in the group there is a gem named Padparadscha. And she is absolutely adorable, but that’s besides the point! I want to point out some things, Padpardscha’s predictions. Why is she still making predictions have what just happened?

All of these events are happening right before her! And yet she still makes her predictions. This leads me to believe that Padparadscha is blind, or at least in some sense. She can’t see anything but her visions! She doesn’t see anything so she thinks what she does see is the future.

Also how does she not notice the gem shattering robot thing right next to her dam face!? Because she cannot see!

There I said, I got it out my system. You don’t have to believe this but this is what I think.

BTS Explain Concepts Behind 'Love Yourself: Her' Album: 'This Is the Beginning of Our Chapter Two'

From the meaning of “Go Go” to why the band needed to flex their win at BBMAs, BTS’ Rap Monster explains it all.

Mere hours before the release of BTS’ Love Yourself: Her, the album’s significance wasn’t lost on the group’s leader, Rap Monster.“It’s really a huge, big step for us,” the 23-year-old rapper/songwriter/producer told Billboard during a phone call from Seoul. “Of course, every member is so excited about the album. We’ve been just practicing until now, day and night, to show these new songs and perfected performances. I left a message on our fan cafe, the other day, after we finished that ‘this EP will mark the turning point of BTS’ and even though the wait felt really long with this album – I think it was the huge event, the BBMAs, were in May – so much has happened."The wait has been particularly anticipated for for the band’s famously passionate fan base, known as Army, who have been waiting for new tracks from Rap Monster, Jimin, Suga, J-Hope, Jin, V and Jungkook band after voting them Top Social Artist at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards over fellow pop juggernauts Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez and Shawn Mendes.

How BTS’ BBMA Win Proves K-Pop Can Compete & Thrive on a Global Scale

Since then, the BTS guys have landed distribution deals with Amazon and U.S.-based The Orchard ("We believe the physical album, still, really counts and it’s really important to connect with our fans around the world,” Rap Monster said) and hung out with worldwide chart-toppers like Major Lazer, Halsey, Charli XCX(“Maybe it’s just my sixth sense, but I think maybe we will be collaborating with even more interesting artists,” he added); even snagging The Chainsmokers to produce a beat for Love Yourself: Her.One listen to the tightly produced record – which looks likely to make a big splash on the Billboard 200 next week – and the passion is palpable from the intense lead single “DNA,” the societal commentary in “Go Go,” among multiple lyrics and moments that feel ripped from the members’ personal journals.

118.“Did I stutter?”

119.“Did you enjoy yourself last night?”

120.“Did you hear that?”

121.“Do you ever think we should just stop this?”

123.“Do you think she could have loved me?”

124.“Don’t say you love me.”

125.“Don’t you ever do that again!”

126.“Either ask her out or I will do it for you!”

127.“Excuse me, I’m terribly lost. Can you help me?”

128.“Everyone deserves a second chance.”

129.“Everyone keeps telling me you’re the bad guy.”

133.“Go then, leave! See if I care!”

134.“H-How long have you been standing there?”

135.“Have I ever lied to you?”

136.“Have you lost your damn mind?”

141.“How dare you?”

142.“How could anyone be that cruel?”

143.“How long has it been?”

144.“I almost lost you!”

145.“I am not losing you again!”

146.“I came here to explain what happened, and I’m not leaving until you listen.”

147.“I can manage on my own.”

148.“I can’t… I can’t lose you.”

149.“I can’t get you out of my head.”

150.“I can’t let you do that.”

168.“I just want to be alone right now.”

169.“I just wanted you to know that when I picture myself happy… It’s with you.”

170.“I know, but I love him… You can’t give up on someone you love.”

171.“I love you.”   “I know.”

172.“I love you. I’ve loved you since the moment I first laid eyes on you and – Oh, screw it!”

173.“I love you for you! Don’t you dare think otherwise!”

174.“I love you more than anything in this world… which is why you have to stay here.”

175.“I made a mistake.”

176.“I may be an idiot but I’m your idiot.”

177.“I need you to forgive me.”

178.“I never meant for anyone to get hurt.”

179.“I see the way you look at me when you think I’m not looking.”

182.“I thought you were dead…”

183.“I trusted you!”

184.“I waited and waited, but you never came back!”

185.“I wasn’t planning on asking you, but I’ve come to realize that life is short. Will you marry me?”

186.“I won’t give up if you won’t.”

187.“I-I can’t trust you anymore…”

188.“I’ll be right over.”

189.“I’m flirting with you.”

190.“I’m not good enough for you.”

191.“I’m not the only one who thinks that.”

192.“I’m sick of being USELESS.”

193.“I’m so happy you’re alive!”

194.“I’m so stupid to make the mistake of falling in love with my best friend.”

195.“I’m sorry. I didn’t know.”

196.“I’m sorry, run that by me again.”

197.“I’m sorry, what were you saying? I keep getting lost in your eyes.”

198.“I’m tired of being your secret.”

199.“I’m up to the challenge.”

200.“I’m yours.”

201.“I’ve been in love with you my entire life. Ever since I met you.”

202.“I’ve moved on.”

203.“I’ve never felt this way about anyone before… and it scares the shit out of me.”

204.“If I didn’t know any better, I’d say you were trying to seduce me.”

205.“If I ever see you anywhere near her, you’ll have to deal with me!”

206.“If you die, I’m gonna kill you!”

207.“If you keep looking at me like that, we won’t make it to the bed.”

208.“If you walk out right now, it’s over for us.”

209.“Is it really you?”

210.“Is that a challenge?”

211.“Is that an apology?”

212.“Is there a problem?”

213.“Is there a special reason, as to why you’re wearing my shirt?”

214.“Is there something you want to tell me?”

215.“It could be worse.”

216.“It made a difference to me.”

217.“It was just a dream.”

218.“It wasn’t supposed to happen like that.”

219.“It’s all my fault.”

220.“It’s okay, I’m here for you.”

221.“It’s okay to cry…”

222.“Just leave me ALONE.”

223.“Just talk to me.”

224.“Kiss me.”

225.“Let me buy you a drink?”

226.“Look at me – just breathe, okay?”

227.“Look, I don’t have much time, but I wanted to say I love you.”

228.“May I have this dance?”

229.“Meet me at midnight. Alone.”

230.“Meet me on the bridge in an hour.”

231.“No one needs to know.”

232.“No one will ever hurt you again.”

233.“None of that matters now.”

234.“Oh, my God! You’re in love with her!”

235.“Please don’t cry.”

236.“Please don’t do this.”

237.“Please don’t leave…”

238.“Please listen to me…”

239.“Please say something…”

240.“Promise me you won’t let anything happen to him.”

241.“Promise me you’ll stay.”

242.“Shit, are you bleeding?”

243.“Shut up and kiss me?”

244.“Somebody’s in love!”

245.“Sorry, I thought I was alone…”

246.“Stop talking about love for a minute and help me with this bullet wound.”

247.“Tell me a secret.”

248.“That came out wrong.”

249.“That guy at the bar keeps staring at you.”

250.“The way you flirt is shameful.”

251.“There are plenty of people out there who love you.”   “Yeah, like who?”  “Like me.”

252.“There’s something I need to tell you.”

253.“Things don’t always turn out how they should.”

254.“Those things you said yesterday… Did you mean them?”

255.“Wait a minute… Are you jealous?”

256.“Wake up! Please, please wake up!”

257.“Wanna dance?”

258.“We could be amazing!”

259.“Well, don’t keep me waiting!”

260.“Well, this is awkward…”

261.“Well, this is where I live.”

262.“We finish it the same way we started… together.”

263.“What are you afraid of?”

264.“What were you thinking? Were you trying to get yourself killed?”

265.“When you love someone, you just don’t stop. Ever. Even when people roll their eyes or call you crazy… even then. Especially then!”

266.“Where did you learn to dance?”

267.“Where were you? Do you have any idea as to how worried I was?”

268.“Who gave you that black eye?”

269.“Why are you lying?”

270.“Why are you up so early?”

271.“Why can’t you see what you’re doing to me?”

272.“Why choose me?”

273.“Why don’t you just kiss me already?”

274.“You are the best thing that’s ever happened to me.”

275.“You deserve so much better.”

276.“You did this all for me?”

277.“You DID WHAT?”

278.“You don’t have to stay.”

279.“You don’t know you the way I do.”

280.“You don’t need to protect me.”

281.“You fainted… straight into my arms. You know, if you wanted my attention you didn’t have to go to such extremes.”

282.“You have the most amazing eyes.”

283.“You have to make a choice.”

284.“You have to remember!”

285.“You heard me. Take. It. Off.”

286.“You know, it’s okay to cry…”

287.“You lied to me!”

288.“You look beautiful!”

289.“You make me feel like I’m not good enough.”

290.“You need to leave. Right now.”

291.“You need to wake up because I can’t do this without you.”

292.“You shouldn’t have even been there!”

293.“You walked away. Not me.”

294.“You weren’t supposed to hear that…”

295.“You’ll be the death of me.”

296.“You’re not alone.”

297.“You’re safe now. I’ve got you.”

298.“You’re the only one I trust to do this.”

299.“You’re too good for me.”

300.“You’ve got to be kidding me!”

301.“Have you lost your damn mind?”

302.“Please, don’t leave.”

303.“Come over here and make me.”

304.“Wait a minute… Are you jealous?”

305.“Is there a reason you’re naked in my bed?”

306.“I almost lost you.”

307.“Wanna bet?”

308.“Teach me how to play?”

309.“Looks like we’ll be trapped for a while…”

310.“We’re in the middle of a thunderstorm and you wanna stop and feel the rain?”

311.“Just once.”

312.“I can’t believe you talked me into this.”

313.“I got you a present.”

BTS Explain Concepts Behind 'Love Yourself: Her' Album: 'This Is the Beginning of Our Chapter Two'

From the meaning of “Go Go” to why the band needed to flex their win at BBMAs, BTS’ Rap Monster explains it all.

Mere hours before the release of BTS’ Love Yourself: Her, the album’s significance wasn’t lost on the group’s leader, Rap Monster.

“It’s really a huge, big step for us,” the 23-year-old rapper/songwriter/producer told Billboard during a phone call from Seoul. “Of course, every member is so excited about the album. We’ve been just practicing until now, day and night, to show these new songs and perfected performances. I left a message on our fan cafe, the other day, after we finished that ‘this EP will mark the turning point of BTS’ and even though the wait felt really long with this album – I think it was the huge event, the BBMAs, were in May – so much has happened.”

The wait has been particularly anticipated for the band’s famously passionate fan base, known as Army, who have been waiting for new tracks from Rap Monster, Jimin, Suga, J-Hope, Jin, V and Jungkook band after voting them Top Social Artist at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards over fellow pop juggernauts Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez and Shawn Mendes.

So, I thought, those feelings transcend genders, cultures, and barriers between people.

I know we talked a lot about how foreshadowing that scene in 3x20 was, but for me that possible happy future that Hook was talking about is best represented in the pancakes scene.

This is what I always wanted for them, even more than the big stuff, these little moments of day to day life in which they are “just happy”. And I think this is the reason why this has become one of my favorite scenes on the show. Because it wasn’t only the “almost pancakes”, and the passionate kisses that lasted long just the way I like it, or the way he was approaching behind her, or the way she was so urgently pressing him up against the table. But it was mainly because that moment represented pure happiness in the most simple of ways, and yet the most special.

Please give us more moments like this one <3

CHRIS: Hey.

EVA: Hey. Did you sleep well?

CHRIS: Mhm.

EVA: Mhm.

CHRIS: I just dreamt something fucked up.

EVA: Yeah, what?

CHRIS: I dreamt that I was at my old elementary school. And we were eating lunch outside, me and Caroline, who was my girlfriend in fourth grade and then you were walking past and I was like “Wow, damn”! And then I walked up to you and I was like “Hey, do you wanna date me?” in front of Caroline.

EVA: What did I say?

CHRIS: You said yes, of course.

EVA: Yes? Of course? Okay?

CHRIS: And that’s supposed to mean…?

EVA: That we’re never going to be together.

CHRIS: Why not?

EVA: Why? Because..

CHRIS: Because?

EVA: Because you.. are..

CHRIS: I am? What am I?

EVA: A cheating fuckboy.

CHRIS: Ouch..

EVA: Hi, Vilde.

VILDE: Hi, what are you doing?

EVA: Nothing in particular…

VILDE: Listen, I wanted to do something nice for Sana at that Eid-celebration, to show her how much we love her.

EVA: Yes! We can do that!

VILDE: So I’ve read a bit about Eid and it’s common to give gifts, but it’s often just to kids and money and stuff, and it’d be a bit weird to give her money. I wanna give her something really special, so do you have any ideas?

EVA: Uhm… No, I don’t know, but we should probably ask someone for some advice, maybe someone who knows more than us,

VILDE: Yeah, I agree. We’ll ask a Muslim.

EVA: Hey, but listen, maybe I’ll call you up a bit later or something?

VILDE: Okayyy!

EVA: Okayyy, bye! Where were we?

CHRIS: We were talking about if we’re going to get together.

EVA: I don’t think so..

CHRIS: You don’t? Because I think you may want to.

EVA: Nooo..

CHRIS: You sure?

EVA: Yes, I’m sure.

CHRIS: Totally sure?

EVA: Yes, very.

MOM: Eva?

EVA: Hide!

CHRIS: Why?

MOM: Hi!

EVA: Hi..

MOM: Oh, I’m sorry! Uhm..

EVA: Uhm.. I have company.

MOM: Yes.

EVA: Uhm.. This is..

CHRIS: Hey! Chris.

MOM: Hi. Chris.

CHRIS: Is your name also Chris?

MOM: Yeah, no, my name is Anne Marit.

CHRIS: Oh, okay. That makes sense.

MOM: Yes.

EVA: Yes.

MOM: I’m sorry for just.. I didn’t know Eva had a boyfriend.

EVA: We’re not together.

CHRIS: Yet.

MOM: Yes, but that’s.. You’ll figure that out.. Okay.

EVA: Oh my God.

CHRIS: Oh, well.

EVA: Why did you stand up?

CHRIS: I had to introduce myself. I was raised well. You have to say hi to people.

EVA: You could’ve introduce yourself another time!

Let me ruin you goddammit

Let’s get one thing straight. You never claimed to be a good person, never did charity work, never been the perfect daughter for your parents. And you sure as hell wasn’t someone’s little girlfriend.

You did what you want, who you wanted and slipped out of their sheets before they murmur good morning in your ear. You were a ‘no strings attached’ girl, making sure that you would never become someone’s puppet. Of course, you weren’t immune to the disease called ‘love’, your innocent high school days plagued with your naive mindset of finding the ‘one’. It still haunts you, one of the reasons your night doesn’t end with a shot of whisky and half a pack of beer. The only person who was willing to put up with you was your best friend, Jungkook.

The Major - Jasper Hale x Reader

Requested by anonymous: jasper x reader and the reader is shy but confident and can be funny at the wrong time. Since she’s dating jasper, she hasn’t met the major yet, so when she does she teases him, but good natured, yet everyone is worried that the major will overreact. The volturi find out about her and her powers *controls the elements* she accidentally makes fun of how Aro giggles, the major comes out but everything turns out okay. I just need protective and fluffy major so much right now

I’m sorry this took so long! I lost all inspiration to write for a while and I didn’t want to just write like complete garbage lol. Also, I changed it up a bit, but protective Jasper is still there. I hope you like it!

Suddenly, Alice gasped and the book she was reading fell to the floor.

“What is it Alice?” Bella looked at her with concern and reached to touch her arm.

Alice’s eyes were completely zoned out and she looked faint. You felt nervous not knowing what she was seeing. A few moments later her eyes cleared up and her brows knit together in focus. “They’re coming for her.”

Your stomach flipped and fear burned through your veins. “W-what? Me? And who?”

Jasper moved quickly over to you and held you. “Why? What do they want?” You had never heard him sound so scared.

“I saw them testing her abilities…they must know she’s special…” She trailed off and looked at you.

“Who?!” You shouted.

“The Volturi.” She blinked, still a bit out of it.

You remembered Jasper once telling you about the Italian coven, but you had never met them in person.

“Well what do we do? When will they be here?” Esme stepped forward.

“Soon…I’m—I’m not sure exactly, but soon.”

All of a sudden, Emmett came through the doorway looking angry. “The Volturi are coming. I saw them in the clearing while I was out hunting. Why the hell are they here?!” He raised his voice.

“They want to meet (Y/N).” Esme looked over at him. She moved in front of you and held your hands, looking into your eyes. “We’ll keep you safe, I promise.”

You nod and look over your shoulder at Jasper. You couldn’t quite read his face but you knew he was thinking of how to protect you.

What do you think about Sansa's crush on Loras? Do you think it means something that no matter how much she seems to grow as a character she still holds a crush over some pretty knight that never really seemed to care about her and she still imagines him when she kisses people (even if her thoughts get directed back to sandor)

Well… Loras is a very safe crush.

Loras plays the role for Sansa that teen heartthrobs do for many adolescent girls, a safe exploration of their growing sexuality.

The idolization of teen idols typically begins in early adolescence when girls start to become interested in romance and dating and more aware of social norms which suggest that they should have romantic feelings for someone of the opposite sex (Simon, Eder, & Evans, 1992). Rather than dating in real life, developing a crush on a teen idol is a way for girls to acknowledge their emerging sexual feelings in a safe, non-threatening way (Engle & Kasser, 2005). Because teen boys are viewed by girls as only interested in sex (McRobbie, 1991), teen idols are a preferable option. Further, they often project a feminine form of masculinity that is sexually non-threatening and thus accessible to young girls (Engle &: Kasser, 2005; Karniol, 2001; McRobbie, 1991; Sweeney, 1994).

Bitten by Twilight: Youth Culture, Media, & the Vampire Franchise

One of the most popular ways people like to hate teenage girls is to complain about their “insane” crushes on boy band members. Now, let me fucking tell you something: those big dumb crushes are what helps a teenage girl develop her sexuality in a safe environment that she can control. In her world, she can listen to One Direction and hear all these songs about how great she is, and how much these cute non-threatening boys want to make her feel special. Why is this so important? Because no one is pushing them. There’s no fourteen year old boy shoving his clammy hands down your shirt without your consent. These fantasy boys are not convincing a girl to send naked pictures, only to show all their friends and call her a slut. In the fantasy land of boy bands, the girl has all the power. And we need to stop judging them for wanting to escape into that.

–Meghan Harper, “Why I Fucking Love Teenage Girls”

ASOIAF is a medieval-style world, so it of course doesn’t have pop idols and movie stars, but it does have tournaments and tourney champions, who play that role for the adolescent girls of Westeros. (And the boys, too. Consider Bran’s idolization of knights, especially the Kingsguard.) And Loras Tyrell is not just one of the best upcoming stars of the tourney scene, but he’s so dreamy handsome, young, and from one of the best families of Westeros. (Even Robert Baratheon crushes on him, in a manly way.)

Now, the fact that Loras is actually gay (as are so many teen heartthrobs - George Michael, we miss you) makes him even safer, whether Sansa consciously realizes it or not. This is all the more important, since because of the close circles of Westeros aristocracy, Sansa Stark has far more of a chance of personally interacting with Loras Tyrell than your typical teenage girl has with her most beloved Bieber or Zayn.

So when Sansa actually has the opportunity to meet Loras, is even led to believe she might marry him… the expression of her sexuality, while very real, is also very safe:

The sight of Ser Loras Tyrell standing on her threshold made Sansa’s heart beat a little faster.

Sansa was finding it hard to walk and talk and think all at the same time, with Ser Loras touching her arm.

I am talking to him, and he’s touching me, he’s holding my arm and touching me.

Desperately she tried to think of something clever and charming to say to him, but her wits had deserted her. She almost told him how beautiful he was, until she remembered that she’d already done that.

Ser Loras in white silk, so pure, innocent, beautiful. The dimples at the corner of his mouth when he smiled. The sweetness of his laugh, the warmth of his hand. She could only imagine what it would be like to pull up his tunic and caress the smooth skin underneath, to stand on her toes and kiss him, to run her fingers through those thick brown curls and drown in his deep brown eyes. A flush crept up her neck.

–ASOS, Sansa I

Or, for a visual representation:

Now, the trouble (or not?) is that this safe crush of Sansa’s is no longer something she can rely on. Whether it’s because of her aging into womanhood, or because of her actual experiences with sexuality – the dark masculine danger of Sandor Clegane, her marriage to Tyrion Lannister (including seeing him nude and sleeping next to him in bed for weeks), the explicit rape threats of Joffrey Baratheon and Marillion, the disturbing attentions and unfatherly kisses of Petyr Baelish – when she wishes to escape into her formerly favorite safe fantasy of Loras Tyrell, it twists away from her into something else:

Before she could summon the servants, however, Sweetrobin threw his skinny arms around her and kissed her. It was a little boy’s kiss, and clumsy. Everything Robert Arryn did was clumsy. If I close my eyes I can pretend he is the Knight of Flowers. Ser Loras had given Sansa Stark a red rose once, but he had never kissed her… and no Tyrell would ever kiss Alayne Stone. Pretty as she was, she had been born on the wrong side of the blanket.
As the boy’s lips touched her own she found herself thinking of another kiss. She could still remember how it felt, when his cruel mouth pressed down on her own. He had come to Sansa in the darkness as green fire filled the sky. He took a song and a kiss, and left me nothing but a bloody cloak.

–AFFC, Alayne II

Note that there are many analyses of “the unkiss” (link 1, link 2), Sansa’s imagined memory of being kissed by Sandor the night of the Blackwater, but what many point out is that it is again an attempt by Sansa of a safe fantasy, a subconscious attempt to control and understand and romanticize a frightening sexually-charged situation. It’s just several octaves away from her non-threatening fantasies of kissing and touching the “beautiful” Loras.

And though you say Sansa still holds this crush, please note that Loras is only mentioned in Sansa’s narrative once in AFFC (that scene above), where she recognizes that Loras’s attentions were nothing real, no kisses, just a rose. Also, when she thinks about the men who helped her in King’s Landing, Loras is not one of them. Furthermore, he’s not mentioned at all in her TWOW preview chapter – which, considering it focuses on an upcoming tourney and the young knights who wish to be its champions, should be a perfect occasion for the pretty knight Loras to stroll through Sansa’s head, and yet he does not.

So I would say that Sansa’s adolescent crush on Loras is something perfectly understandable… and also something she has outgrown. I hope that helps!

The Signs with a Broken Heart

This post is essentially based on my/my friends’ real life experiences.I’ll also try to include some advice how to get over this struggle. Your Sun & Venus Signs matter!

I think that today, after having written some love posts, I had to think about those who spent this day alone, because they are comfortable with it, because they don’t need anyone, or maybe because their heart isn’t healed enough to start dating again. And it’s totally fair. Heartbreak is way too underrated lately in my opinion, we think about those with a sickness, we think about those who are poor, we say that as long as you are healthy, have a place to sleep, have something to eat, you must be happy, but sometimes an emotional wound is a lot harder to heal than a physical one. When you love someone, they become the most important part of your life. You share your days with them, you miss them, you decide where to go for a dinner together because you want them to be happy too, you basically change your whole lifestyle to fit theirs. And then if one day, they decide to take their love away, it feels like only half of your life is left and you ask yourself questions how it’s possible to make it stop just like that, from one minute to another. This is why it’s so hard to get over a broken heart. And sometimes it’s even worse to lose someone who never even was yours. You start questioning everything, why does life play such a prank on you and makes you meet them, like them, fall in love and all this for nothing, because they don’t share your feelings. A person questioning themselves, thinking that they aren’t good enough for a person they love, that someone else is and they aren’t, is probably one of the most hurtful feelings.

So here’s how I see the signs being hurt and hopefully this will help a few of you. Not because you will read this post and your pain will suddenly go away, no way, I just want you to know that there’s always someone to understand exactly how you feel, that you’re not alone.

ARIES:

As an Aries, you can be very emotional, but real feelings don’t reach you too often. Quite careless in your young years, you might be attracted to people physically, like them in different ways, call it love, feel sadness about losing them, but only the pain of a broken heart will tell you it was real. Because

Because you misunderstood the manga. Why? T-T

Exhibit A: Sakura touching her lips, blushing, while remembering one of her kisses with Sasuke:

Body language is important to remember especially on manga dear anon.

Exhibit  B: Sakura then remembering something “even better/nicer”. In order for Sakura to know which is better/or nicer she would have needed to experience both. Which is why she knew “which” memory she treasured most because she experienced of both.

Exhibit C: How could Sasuke not have ever kissed the woman he knows is a strong medic ninja that heals; but he still worries about regardless:

Exhibit D: How could Sasuke not have ever kissed the woman he loved so much to the point they created a daughter. Basically impossible. And those are his words. Not mine.

“How can you say that for sure?” = “How can you be so certain that you love her?”

In which Sasuke responds with:

“Because you exist Sarada” = “Because i love your mother so much you came into existence Sarada” and that equals to= “because i made love to your mother, out of the incredibly strong love that i had for her, you exist sarada”. What is not understandable? (making love equals to kissing everywhere, including on the mouth/& or lips)

Exhibit E: If Sasuke had never once kissed Sakura before then why was Sakura so casual about receiving one almost as it were something normal she’d ask him and she’d casually expect of him to do? Oh, i know! That’s because they have had kissed before!:

Exhibit F: If Sasuke has never kissed Sakura then why was Sakura so confused and surprised at getting her first rain check in a long time of seeing him almost as she didn’t expect one from him. Emphasis of that is on the: ??!

(take note that the only reason why Sasuke couldn’t bring himself to kiss her there was because their daughter was right there watching. That’s why kishi drew Sarada there. To make sure we understand why he couldn’t kiss her.)

Exhibit G: If Sasuke does not like or has never kissed Sakura before because he found it weird, unnecessary, or something he couldn’t see himself doing, then why was he so happy that she asked for one anyway?

Update: Oh, i know! That’s because he enjoys teasing her and knows that he will give her all his love once he comes back! He enjoys teasing the fluff out of the woman whose heart is connected with his!

Update: I just realized that miswrote what i was trying to say on that last paragraph. What i mean’t to write was that he is happy that she asked for one anyway because he is happy to have Sakura in his life. Even though he couldn’t kiss her because their daughter was watching he loves her so much that he appreciates every single gesture coming from her. If he didn’t want to kiss her he would have shown a disgusted face; but instead he showed a smile and took a hold of something she made for him. He took a hold of something someone special to him made for him. His wife.

I just meant to write the teasing part as a small joke. But i wrote that first and forgot to write this. So sorry T-T i was sleepy when i wrote this and that’s why.

Jealous!Matt Murdock x Reader

Warnings: Smut, language

Matt stormed through the door of his apartment with Y/N in tow.  The two were enjoying having drinks at Josie’s when some guy started hitting on her.  He introduced himself as Tyler and Matt already hated his guts due to the way he let his hands wander over her body.  Matt gripped his beer bottle tightly when he heard her pulse quicken at Tyler’s touches. Matt and Y/N weren’t even together, but god he had acted like they were when he threatened to beat the guy senseless when Y/N had went to the bathroom.

[TRANS] Shukan Josei - SOPE Interview

SUGA x J-HOPE

Q. “If you were to sing to your crush”
JH: I would sing “Sakuranbo” by Otsuka Ai. I’ve liked that song for ages. There’s love in the lyrics and the melody is bright, so I think it matches my personality as well. I would prepare a trailer truck that would become a stage and say, “It’s an special event!” and sing just for the girl.
SG: I would say, “Why don’t you just come to our concert?”.
JH: Huh……!?
SG: I don’t go to karaoke, and I haven’t really sang anywhere other than on stage. So I’d tell her (to come to our concert) because I’m someone that does music professionally.
JH: Really……

Q. “Things you’re aiming for in 2017”
JH: I want to travel around Japan~
SG: I want to regularly go to the gym. I haven’t been doing anything recently, so I think that I should.
JH: Music-wise, I want to release a mixtape this year. I really want to improve as a rapper.
SG: I also think that we have to make a lot of good songs this year. We have a world tour, so we need to work hard to get more people to love BTS.

Q. “Phone lock screen”
SG: (while showing screen) This.
JH: Wow, it’s solid black!
SG: I’ve never really cared about my lock screen.
JH: Mine is a picture of my favorite artist!
SG: Who?
JH: Who was it? (lol)
SG: Isn’t it your favorite artist?
JH: It totally slipped my mind (lol). Ah, it’s Frank Ocean (an R&B singer)! But, it’s been the same lock screen for half a year, so I might want to change it soon.
SG: Even if it’s your favorite artist?
JH: You sometimes wanna change it, you know? Still, it would be embarrassing to use my own selfie……
