this is who we should all be looking up to

anonymous asked:

blurb request!! you know how in the press tours mackie and stan always argue about whose character should be with black widow or they make comments about scarlet? that but with the reader who plays in the movie :)

“no, no, no.” sebastian shook his head.

“what, man? it’s true! come on,” mackie turned to look at the interviewer. “we all know who she has chemistry with.”

“a stupid bird? i don’t think so.” sebastian piped up.

“what’s she gonna get from a bionic man?” anthony looked over at sebastian.

“much more than you could ever give her.”

“nah,” anthony shook his head.

“why don’t you let her chose?” the interviewer laughed.

that’s when anthony and sebastian began talking over each other and the interview had completely gone off topic. it was all in good fun though. anthony ended the argument, making sebastian blush.

“in real life, though we all know who she picks.” he wiggled his brows and nudged sebastian multiple times.

in short, i love all of them

The more I look back at YoI, the clearer it becomes how unreliable a narrator Yuuri is, especially in the first episode. We should have realised it right from the off that something wasn’t quite matching up between what he was saying and what we were seeing.

Lemme have a quick look:

“I’m one of the dime a dozen figure skaters certified by the JSF”

Dime a dozen. Right, kiddo. When you have groupies who are the rising stars like Minami-kun, who recognise good skating because they’re trained to, I suspect you may be understating how good you are. When your home town plasters your imagery all over the place because you are their famous skater, you’re more than a dime a dozen.

Also, let us take a moment to remember that he made it as far as the Grand Prix final. We learn in later episodes how many competitions you have to win to get through to the Grand Prix Final. He won. He won lots. He did *well* right up until the Grand Prix. The commentater even comments that he wasn’t himself at this one significant event.

This anxiety-ridden little moppet even explains why: the death of a beloved family pet and grief threw him off, and I suspect his natural anxiety was the nail in the confidence coffin. But he still blames himself, despite a run of horrible circumstances, grief, isolation and the insane amount of pressure he was putting on himself to get his ‘big day’ right.

“I was an idiot to think I could finally meet my idol on the same playing field…”

Maybe Sochi wasn’t a level playing field, but it certainly wasn’t because of the skating. It was because of everything else crashing in on him at the same time, which meant his skating suffered. Then it became a domino effect of depression and anxiety and he lost again and again.

We know this because when he was trying to get his groove back, he took Viktor’s gold-medal winning routine and performs it to perfection. Lemme repeat that: a gold-medal winning routine and performs it to perfection. Which he is doing while not in peak condition and while significantly heavier than he had been during the competitions.

Yuuri is a badass-skater, but because of his spiral of depression and anxiety before the start of the series, his narration about himself and his career naturally skews to the negative. And we believed him. We fell for it, because he believed it himself.

How wrong we all were.

My Moana cosplay. I made this before the movie came out, and I don’t regret it at all. Seeing the movie only made me want to make the cosplay even better, and perhaps a few more in the future. She’s a wonderful, brave spirit who is both motivated and honest. She is a hero we should all look up to. I certainly do.

I’m not sure why things happened the way they did, I’m not sure why we met on the first of may and I’m not sure why i ended up in mo. sometimes i still think about it all. but i do not regret it, that year taught me more about life, love, and most importantly myself than i ever thought it would. i became a better version of myself because of it. you taught me what i want in someone, and what i should expect from someone, i hope my future wife has some of the qualities i loved about you. you taught me to look for someone who will cover my room in sticky notes, or buy a huge bear just bc I’m sad, you taught me to look for someone who will hold me as i sob uncontrollably on the bathroom floor, and not look at me any differently because of it. in a way because of you, i learned what it was like to love someone with a mental illness, i watched you love me through it, and in a way it taught me how to love myself through it. i didn’t know it at the time, but i do now. some days i was so sad i didn’t even have the energy to wash my own hair and so you did it for me, i would shake and so you would hold me every night. when i thought i couldn’t ever smile again you sang to me in the car. i am not sure why things ever happened the way that they did, but a tiny piece of me is happy that they did. i have washed my hair without the help of your fingertips 74 times, i have slept tangled in blankets rather than in you for 63 nights, i have driven countless miles with an empty passenger seat, i have listened to hundreds of songs without your voice belting the lyrics. i never wanted things to end the way they did. I’m not sure why things happened the way they did, but I am thankful that they did. Hurting me is the best thing you ever did for me, partially because of you i have learned to love myself, you hurting me forced me to learn to love me without the help from you. I am a stronger me than we ever were an us.
—  And so I thank you, thankyou for hurting me,
thankyou for making me that much stronger.

10 facts every woman should know:

1. Everyone has rolls when they bend over.
2. When someone tells you that you’re beautiful, believe them. They aren’t lying.
3. Sometimes we all wake up with breath that could kill a goat.
4. For every woman unhappy with her stretch marks is another woman who wishes she had them.
5. You should definitely have more confidence. And if you saw yourself the way others see you, you would.
6. Don’t look for a man to save you. Be able to save yourself.
7. It’s okay to not love every part of your body….but you should.
8. We all have that one friend who seems to have it all together. That woman with the seemingly perfect life. Well, you might be that woman to someone else.
9. You should be a priority. Not an option, a last resort, or a backup plan.
10. You’re a woman. That alone makes you pretty damn remarkable.

Tony: So do you, sweetheart.

Steve: …

Tony: *wiggles his eyebrows suggestively*

Steve: …

Steve: Meet me at the dorm in five.

Steve: *louder and slightly blushing* So we can…..discuss strategies.

Tony: *grinning* Strategies……sure, I like the sound of that.

*five minutes later*

Sam: We should have told them the dorm’s walls are pretty thin, shouldn’t we?

Peggy: Not if you don’t wanna see Captain America’s face the color of this carpet.

i’m noticing that there’s a lot of vips being extremely focused on getting these records beaten and that’s totally fine because it is their last comeback until top’s enlistment and it should end with a bang. i’m here for all of it and i encourage people to stream melon and buy their album if they can tbh.

however, i personally don’t like the narrative that we gotta beat bts or fight with some of these ugly armys (who never represents the entire fandom and this can be applied to any fandom really). bts as a whole are quite talented, wonderful performers and has a really great discography, things that you can find in bigbang too. they look up to bigbang and i’m sure bigbang is proud to have inspired them, just as they felt the same with exo and the many juniors before them.

they have their own lists of achievements as bigbang has theirs, and there’s no need to compare. there’s no need to start shit and there’s no need to defend ourselves over anything. if you’re bothered, don’t look for it. if you don’t like bts, ignore them. but just know that there’s also vips who like/respect bts too and please don’t speak for all of us.

“A Girl Like You” is amazing from start to finish, but my absolute favourite part is the part where Annalise describes her breakfast, and then looks completely embarrassed.

You can tell she’s thinking what a lot of the audience is thinking:

“This girl has to walk for miles to get a breakfast that she gets charged for eating, and I’m complaining that I can’t just stay in and read all day? I’m so selfish and petty.”

But then Erika says, “I feel just as trapped as you. I want to escape and live my dreams, too. We’re just the same!”

And I feel like this moment was directed to anyone who felt that Annalise should just shut up, smile, and marry, by having the one person who should have had the right to say that, who in fact started off her portion of the duet with a slightly sarcastic comment about how she feels that she’s worse off than Annalise, turn around and empathize with her.

I love it.

Bloodborne ending spoilers in this one.

I chose the “Refuse” ending and never regretted it. You should have seen that clawed weirdo in the wheelchair. The next Hunter who comes to the dream is in for a very weird time indeed.

More Bloodborne fanart.

As human beings, we can often be hardest critics. We tend to look our flaws and mistakes and constantly toil with what we should’ve done differently, how we can be better, or what’s wrong with us. Even though it’s great to want to improve, it’s not healthy at all to start looking to ourselves for the strength to pick how ourselves back up. This only comes from the Lord.
He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. -Isaiah 40:29
As the children of God are being reminded in Isaiah 40, we must remember this to be true for our lives too: it is God who gives us strength. There is no amount of things we can tell ourselves or criticize ourselves of that will solve the issues in our lives. It is only the strength we reason from His Spirit through a relationship with Jesus.
So say goodbye to beating yourself up over the reasons why you’re single, or why you haven’t found the right job, or why your business hasn’t taken off, or why you can’t seem to find a peace of mind lately. Yes, we are all sinners, make our own decisions in life, and have to take responsibility for our actions, but the strength to keep going and the grace that we need to get back up after we have fallen comes from what God gives alone!
If you’re feeling like you can’t get past a feeling or a flaw or anything else in your life, remember to look to the Lord. He’s the One who is going to build you up when you’re tearing yourself down. He’s the One that is going to continue to breathe life into you when others have tried to tear you down too. Take courage! God is with you and because of that, there is no reason to face your battles on your own. Even when it comes to something as small as feeling embarrassed after you sent someone a heartfelt text and they never responded, and even when you’re feeling insecure about the way you look, look to your Father. He will Life you up in all of this.

how would the chocobros react to seeing their and their s/o's baby all grown up who time traveled back to save their parents from dying? like the bros know it's their baby but are confused bc there's the baby version of them and the grown version existing in the same time. maybe some angst and cute family fluff? ❤

Ohoho I see we have a Fire Emblem fan in the house ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) (or I could just be way off base here and now I look dumb ok I’ll stop now)

Ever since I played that game I’m not gunna lie, that trope has become delicious. (Delicious? Should I have used that word there? Does that make me weird? ok I’ll stop again thnx)

Okay, first: I took some liberties. I set this during the game’s timeline, so their hypothetical child isn’t born yet. Second, as I was writing this, I began with Noctis (because I always begin with Noctis lololol) and it got to be so long that I thought it would be a bit much to include all the bros. So, with that said, I’ll only be posting him atm. However, if you guys want this done with the other three then do let me know! Otherwise, I’ll probably stop it here. Sorry about that!

Now on to the writing!

When you meet her it’s at Hammerhead, just after you step outside of the diner, following behind the guys. You got the phone call from Prompto.

Noctis is awake. And he’ll be here soon.

When the guys finally part from the circle they had created, full of laughter and smiles, you see the man you had fallen in love with so long ago, and all you can think is that, he’s here. He’s here and awake and alive and you can’t contain the tears that are spilling from your eyes no matter how many times you wipe them away.

Noctis,” you choke out as you step forward, unstable as a newborn calf. The bright fluorescent stadium lights ensconcing Hammerhead illuminate him in a harsh glow. You see his unkempt and overgrown hair hang low in front of his eyes. You see the dirt on his rugged face, layered with facial hair you had never known him to have. You see the way his jawline has filled out, his eyes have sunken in, and what the burden of ten years has done with the boy you once knew.

It’s turned him into a king.

Sauron was of course not ‘evil’ in origin. He was a 'spirit’ corrupted by the Prime Dark Lord (the Prime sub-creative Rebel) Morgoth. He was given an opportunity of repentance, when Morgoth was overcome, but could not face the humiliation of recantation, and suing for pardon; and so his temporary turn to good and 'benevolence’ ended in a greater relapse, until he became the main representative of Evil of later ages. But at the beginning of the Second Age he was still beautiful to look at, or could still assume a beautiful visible shape – and was not indeed wholly evil, not unless all 'reformers’ who want to hurry up with 'reconstruction’ and 'reorganization’ are wholly evil, even before pride and the lust to exert their will eat them up. The particular branch of the High-Elves concerned, the Noldor or Loremasters, were always on the side of 'science and technology’, as we should call it: they wanted to have the knowledge that Sauron genuinely had, and those of Eregion refused the warnings of Gilgalad and Elrond. The particular 'desire’ of the Eregion Elves – an 'allegory’ if you like of a love of machinery, and technical devices – is also symbolised by their special friendship with the Dwarves of Moria.

I saw a question that someone asked a friend artist.. and I just have to say.

Don’t put yourselves down because you think “skilled, better artists” wont speak to you because you think your art isn’t good enough. Talent doesn’t make the artist decide on who they should communicate with! Personality does! We all know you try your very best, heck we were all there once too!!

Artists talents come in many different shapes and forms; if you try your very hardest and don’t give up that’s all that should really matter. We all appreciate you for your effort, don’t give up! Soon enough you’ll have someone looking to you the same way you look up to that particular artist.

There is a bit of a tough love that I’ve had to learn myself. You can’t entirely depend on someone else to help you with your art, you have to be pleased with it yourself. Sad to say but you won’t appreciate your art as much, because not everyone would like it, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t. Just don’t give up! Keep trying until you get it just right. Everyone draws/creates differently. Being fully depending on others opinions can grow tiresome and hurt overtime. If you really need it, ask someone you trust. (The outcome of their help should be more fulfilling.) People you ask should give helpful criticism, but don’t be upset if they correct it, after all you did ask for it. They aren’t putting you down (even if it comes off that way) they are or should be giving you helpful hints on how to adjust your art/creations if you are struggling to do it alone. You have to find your talent yourself, that is what makes you unique. Never be afraid to ask for help, someone out there will be willing to give you a hand.

Don’t give up.
Believe in yourself.
I believe in you, you can do it, you are all aspiring artists looking to find where you fit in with the world.~

Look, I get that most of us grew up with Harry Potter, so we’ll have very strong opinions about whether or not Jo is milking the entire thing; but Fantastic Beasts looks amazing, and I’m actually quite excited about five whole movies about it. Another thing: it’s not just for us, the teens and adults; it’s for the children, too. Children who didn’t grow up with HP like we did, so they’re just now entering this amazing world, and along with them comes new things. So let them enjoy it without you whining about how all this new stuff is ruining it all. I’m excited and kids are excited - that should be all that matters. I don’t think Jo is milking it; I think she’s doing an amazing job at giving children a world to look at and believe in. So just stop being so negative already and enjoy the little things. Let us, and the kids, be happy. Thanks.
