A/N: THIS CHAPTER IS REALLY SHORT AND IM SORRY AND ALSO I DIDNT REMEMBER THAT ADAM READ BELLE ROMEO AND JULIET IN THE ANIMATED UNTIL AFTER I WROTE THAT PART OK but it’s technically not cheating bc this is based offa the live action and the Human Again scene isn’t even technically a part of the original ;;)))))

The first thing you noticed when you awoke was your pounding headache. You pulled yourself out of bed and glanced at yourself in the mirror - your hair was wild and there were bags under your eyes.

Throwing open the curtains was your biggest mistake. The light hurt your eyes, which certainly didn't help your migraine.

Definitely a hangover.

Because of this ask I received, I was inspired to find the clock in Mason Industries at the end of each mission to see how long they were gone. The clock starts the second they leave for the past and stops when they return. It is not visible every time (especially not in later episodes), but I’ll share what I can find or derive.

So, for anyone else curious just how long the team was in the past each episode, here you go.

1.01 - Pilot

15 hours, 8 minutes, 46 seconds

1.02 - The Assassination of Abraham Lincoln

23 hours, 48 minutes, 56 seconds

1.03 - Atomic City

13 hours, 48 minutes, 18 seconds

1.04 - Party at Castle Varlar

21 hours, 29 minutes, 26 seconds

1.05 - The Alamo

*This timeline is a conundrum.

Historically, the Alamo falls early in the morning on March 6th. Jiya says Flynn jumped to March 2nd. Lucy says the Alamo is not supposed to fall for four more days, so March 2nd. And yet the date that the title card flips over from in the beginning of the episode says, “03041836″: March 4th.

Considering the long shadows coming from the tents in Santa Anna’s camp, Flynn does not first meet with him at midday. It is morning or afternoon. Enough happens during that day (also the team would arrive later than Flynn and did not do so at night) that I’ll assume it’s morning and Flynn interrupts Santa Anna’s breakfast. That night, Flynn kills William Travis. Most of the episode takes place during the second day, March 3rd. I see no evidence of a second night, but for the title card to say March 4th implies that is when the battle takes place. (Even though the displayed date is usually the first day they jump to. However, 1.07 is another exception to this.) The conclusion for this trip is indeterminable. Perhaps the title card date is wrong, confused by the fact that their interference made the Alamo fall prematurely. I will ignore the title card and remark on what I see. Flynn arrived in the morning. There is one night. The Alamo fell in the afternoon of the second day.

This trip lasted two days but less than 48 hours.

1.06 - The Watergate Tape

*Given Flynn’s time limit of five hours + any time before/after it until they returned, this trip most likely lasted 8-10 hours.

1.07 - Stranded

*NOTE: This screenshot is taken at the beginning of the episode, three hours after Flynn returned. The team remains in the past another night and day.

This trip lasted four days.

1.08 - Space Race

*Flynn arrived late at night and left the next afternoon. The team was there for a lesser amount of time.

This trip lasted less than one day.

1.09 - Last Ride of Bonnie & Clyde

*They arrived during the day, stayed the night, and left early the next morning.

1.10 - The Capture of Benedict Arnold

58 hours, 46 minutes, 38 seconds

*Blurry but the best shot I could get. I could be reading it wrong. I know the adventure itself lasted two days, and, logically, Wyatt and Rufus would then have to travel back to where they left the Lifeboat. 58 hours is a reasonable length of time, though it pertains only to Wyatt and Rufus. Flynn and Lucy would have been there less than 48 hours (perhaps 36 hours). They arrived on the morning of September 25th and left early in the night on September 26th, just after sunset.

1.11 - The World’s Columbian Exposition

*After the episode first came out, I calculated that Lucy was with Flynn for at least 18 hours. Then she escaped. Lucy and Flynn arrived, presumably, at night (if not before) and left at night. They were there a full day. Wyatt and Rufus were there for a shorter amount of time. We don’t see them until the next day.

This trip lasted one night and day for Flynn and Lucy, around 24 hours (or possibly more). Wyatt and Rufus were there 20 or less hours.

1.12 - The Murder of Jesse James

*In the original timeline, Jesse James was killed by his partners in the morning. The time travelers were there that entire day. They camped at night. Spent the next day traveling. Made it to Emma’s cabin that night. Left the next day.

This trip lasted three days and around 48 hours.

1.13 - Karma Chameleon

*Don’t hold me to this, but I believe Claire’s plane landed at around 1pm. I think the clock on the screen with the flights says 13:17. Last call for bars in Ohio (when Joel’s shift would end) is 2am. Shortly after that time, Joel and Claire went back to her hotel room, and later Wyatt interrupted them. After Joel’s death, Wyatt and Rufus leave. In the present day, it goes from being late at night/early in the morning to nighttime again in the end.

This trip lasted around 14-16 hours.

1.14 - The Lost Generation

*Charles Lindbergh was supposed to land after 10pm. Flynn must have intercepted him in the late afternoon. The rest of the episode takes place at night without ever seeing morning.

This trip lasted several hours of an indeterminable count. Probably no more than 12-13 hours for the team.

1.15 - Public Enemy No. 1

*I believe the clock above the hotel’s front door when Flynn first meets Capone says 11:10am. (But he would have been there a few hours already to steal all of the evidence he presented. Maybe since around 9am.) The team arrived four hours after him. When they go to the hotel later with Capone’s brother, the clock says 1:29am. They parked the Lifeboat in a field outside the city so travel needs to be included.

This trip lasted 14-16 hours.

1.16 - The Red Scare

*They arrive during the day. The exact time is unclear, but with the Rittenhouse summit being that night, Flynn wouldn’t have risked waiting around for Lucy and Wyatt to show unless he had time to spare. He probably arrived in the morning or midday. The summit and climax occur that night. Don’t know what Flynn, Lucy, Wyatt, and Ethan spend the rest of the night doing, but they don’t drive into the warehouse with the Lifeboat until early the next morning.

This trip lasted two days but less than 24 hours.

There’s no real purpose behind this list besides curiosity. However, if you are interested in setting a fic during any of the episodes, here is the time span you have to do it in. Maybe that will help someone somewhere.

The 5 Best Dolenzmith episodes of The Monkees

- as requested by Anon

This is honestly really really hard!! It doesn’t help that it’s been so long since I sat down to properly watch The Monkees, so I’m probably missing loads of little moments that occur throughout loads of episodes. Mike and Micky getting super close is a really common occurance, which is why it’s hard to sort of whittle them down. Like there are some episodes that are littered with Dolenzmith moments, and other’s that’ll just have one or two really big Dolenzmith scenes.

This is more going by moments, as opposed to full-episodes, if that makes sense. Because I’m having to base it off memory, but I’m hoping these will sort of cover Mike and Micky’s relationship quite well.

In no particular order….

1. The Chaperone

This episode features probably the most iconic Dolenzmith moment, which is their near-“kiss”. Like under no circumstances would two people ever need to be that close unless they were about to bump uglies, you dig?

But that isn’t the only moment. The moment when Micky first reveals himself as Mrs Arcadian, Mike certainly looks more shocked than anyone else… shocked because he LOVEs IT

2. Hillbilly Honeymoon

This episode has a few seriously cute M&M moments.

Look at them getting ridiculously close here

And then there’s this whole sequence where they’re basically a man (Mike) and wife (Micky) with a (pig) baby

3. Alias Micky Dolenz

This is an often forgotten Dolenzmithy ep, mainly for the whole beginning sequence. Mike man-handles Micky a fair bit at the start of this episode when he’s trying to get Mick to report his “attack”.

And then there’s the bit in the station where they’re super-close (duh), lots of touching, and the moment when Mike just stares at Micky while Mick describes himself as “handsome”

And then when they recoil in shock and basically hold hands

And then there’s Mike shaking his head when the detective guy suggests Micky impersonates Babyface, telling Micky it’s a bad idea and basically wanting to protect him. And then after that when Mike just randomly decides to pet Micky’s face?????????

There are waaaaay too many examples of M&M being touchy-feely with each other, and it certainly seems like Mike especially can’t keep his hands off Mickles. I don’t blame him because WHAT A CUTIE.

4. Monstrous Monkee Mash

First up you have the moment where Micky freaks the-fuck-out when he thinks that that book wants him to be a vampire, and Mike just stays perfectly calm and explains to Mick that that’s not the case; “it’s not you, it’s everbody.” I like to think this is how they roll: Micky freaks out and Mike remains completely calm and unfazed by Micky’s moment of madness and quietly and calmly reassures him until Micky manages to calm down.

But here they are being rather close while reading the book

Then there’s the bit where they’re left just the two of them and Micky is really scared

I mean are these two even real??????

Here’s them looking like they’re about to make out again

Can they not for like 5 seconds???

Also is it just me who LOVES the way Mike calls Micky’s name? Like there are a few episodes where he calls “Miiick, Miiiick” and I just…I fucking love it bYE

Oh and here’s a bonus pic of Mike touching Micky while Micky appears to be holding his crotch?????

ALSO. Although this scene didn’t make the episode, the “Save the Texas Prairie Chicken” outtake from this ep (that appeared at the end of Monkees on the Wheel) is probably my most favourite Micky and Mike moment;

gifs courtesy of heycarrieanne <3

These two just crack each other up the moment they look at each other and it is the cutest and funniest thing in the world ever, it makes my heart so happy whenever I watch it

5. ???????

Honestly, I’m stuck with the last one, purely because I’m torn between several episodes! So instead I’m going to just sort of do a little compilation of some great Dolenzmith moments…

Son of a Gypsy

This is a prime example how well these two work together and bounce off of each other - and their chemistry is just undeniable, and some of the greatest highlights of The Monkees is when Micky and Mike work together like this! And again…not only is it funny and cute and charming, but they’re SUPER TOUCHY FEELY and once again decide to hold hands. Blessss.

The Case of the Missing Monkee

If this doesn’t prove that Mike can’t keep his hands off Micky, I don’t know what does. He does give Davy a helping hand up the ladder too, but not by grabbing Davy’s arse?! If you watch this scene closely it looks like Mike hesitates for a milisecond before thinking “bugger it” and then just copping a major feel of Micky’s backside. Again, I ain’t judging. Micky has a good bum.

Monkees on the Wheel

To be fair, both Peter and Davy are touching Micky here, comforting him as he’s upset that he doesn’t have “magic fingers”. Mike, however, is the only one who pets Micky’s head/face.

Don’t Look a Gift Horse in the Mouth

Because this is normal behaviour, isn’t it?????

(gif by alternate-title)

Micky is doing his werewolf impression (as you do), and Mike is not only completely unfazed by it, but he salts his hand so Micky can eat it ???????? And he doesn’t even care, as if this is an every day occurance????!! He almost looks happy to see that Micky is tucking into his hand????!!!!!

Also BONUS for this moment, which I seriously don’t think was scripted because of Mike’s genuine look of WTF/concern

(gif also by alternate-title)

I’m triggering my memory/getting inspiration from coolcherrycream’s website (where most of these screen shots in this post come from!), clicking on random episodes to see all the pictures and honestly…pretty much every ep I click on has at least one scene where Micky and Mike get really really close. So I’m sort of spoilt for choice really!! Like I said, I haven’t sat down and watched many episodes of The Monkees in so long, so honestly my memory is pretty scetchy.

Monkees in the Ring

This is quite a brief scene, but it’s another example of M&M putting their heads together and working as their own little team - all the while getting freakishly close (#STANDARD). There’s also the perfect moment of them trying to climb into the boxing ring!

The Monkees Paw

This whole scene is another favourite of mine, as even though they’re playing other characters here (sort of?!) they’re still bouncing off each other and just generally being hilarious and weird <333

Honestly, I could go on and on and on, so I think I need to wrap this up now! Last year I did plan on documenting every single Dolenzmithy moment from the show, when I started my episode reviews, but that was actually so so hard because there was literally just SO MANY.

But anyway, feel free to browse my #dolenzmith tag on my blog because I’ve written extensively about these two before!

Hey! I'm a new witch! I've checked your FAQ- But I didn't get much from it. I don't know where to start or what to do. How do you find out what kind of witch you are? How should you start off with spells? What are the basics? How do things work? How should you get started?

Okey doke, lemme break it down for ya (and update my FAQ soon because those are some good points)

☆I apologize this is gonna be long☆

So, how do you find out what kind of witch your are?

I feel like a common misconceptions is that you have to wait for some sort of sign or calling to a certain sect of witchery. First off, you honestly don’t need to be in any sect at all. Some witches are just witches without any fancy titles at all. (This also applies if you haven’t explored your craft a lot…don’t feel rushed to find a category you fall into.) However if you like a certain theme of witchcraft, like working with elements of the sea in your craft, you might like to call yourself a sea witch! This honestly just helps defining your craft and helps build a community of like minded witches that can share knowledge and experiences with each other.

Not to say that you can’t get a strong calling one way or another! There can be a type of witchery you didn’t yet know about that suddenly came to you in a dream, or kept reoccurring subliminally, etc. It’s just far more common for a witch to go, “Wow, I’ve noticed I mostly focus on stuff involving scrying, dream reading, etc. Maybe I could consider myself a psychic witch!”

How should you start off with spells?

Spells are not a requirement in your craft, but if you feel you’d like to explore them, here’s some tips to warming up to using them.

  • This one is obvious, but start small. There are some pretty amazing spells out there that are simply just complex. Not to say they’re hard, spells shouldn’t be hard. They might just require many materials a beginning witch may not be able to get their hands on, or have certain elements you might need to study separately to properly understand, like casting a circle or using ruins/tarot readings as an element.
  • Don’t be discouraged if the spell you use doesn’t work at first. Maybe certain elements need to be tweaked for you in order for it to properly work. Only experience will help you out in this case honestly; the more you practice the better you’ll be able to pick out what isn’t working for you.
  • Yes, sometimes chanting or saying a spell aloud sounds silly. I’ve been there. Especially if your just starting out as a witch, whispering a rhyme alone in your room is bound to make some people go, “wtf exactly am I doing right now.” As I said, spells can be tweaked. If you don’t want to say it, you can think it, or simply take it out altogether. ALSO, please google translate any latin you find in a spell, please? Literally it’s so easy for someone to just write “ur mom’s a butt” translate it to latin and call it a spell. You’ll want to know what it is your gonna be chanting, or at the very least how to pronounce it.

What are the basics?

There’s unfortunately no good step-by-step “Build-a-Witch” guide. Just start where you can and build slowly. I know it can be annoying when you want to rush in and try everything at once, but know your limits and trust your gut.

How do things work?

A lot of witchcraft is affirmative thinking; i.e., if you make a luck charm you will take notice to luck more frequently while wearing/holding the charm where you wouldn’t take much note of it otherwise. You will start attributing that luck to being caused by the charm, therefore charging the charm and beginning to draw more luck to you. (So essentially, if you don’t believe your craft will work, it won’t very well)

There are different views on it, but the way I see it as we as humans are simply that, human. Our physiology can do some pretty extraordinary things (this including psychic things that, wonderfully enough, can be explained by science) but as far as true magic goes, we are more of just energy conductors, and cannot spawn magic ourselves. We cannot throw fireballs, we cannot lift objects with our mind, it is beyond our physical abilities.

How should you get started?

Make a list of things you’d like to get into. When I first started, I was wildly fascinated by tarot and runes, but couldn’t get my hands on them right off the bat seeing as I was (and really still am) poor as heck. I did a lot of research, and eventually stumbled onto other things like how runes or crystals can work in spells and charms, from there started looking into making charms, from there found different components involved such as herbs, began collecting and growing herbs, and ta-da I began my journey as a green witch. It took a lot of unexpected turns from what I originally was interested in, but the point is to find something that interests you and beginning to look into it, and from there seeing all the options open up to you.

Wrap Those Boys Around Your Finger (Rian Dawson/Jack Barakat imagine)

A/N: gonna be honest here, I’m not sure about this one but I hope it’s okay. Really great request but I just didn’t know how to end it cx Hope you like it!

Also when I was writing this I imagined everyone being teenagers, there’s a little bit of context I guess.

Isaac has been working in the little 24/7 for three years now, working his way up from the lowest step of the ladder all the way to the top – well, as far as you can get in a supermarket.

It’s not as though this is where he’s planning to spend his life, it’s just a job to get him through college really. But he takes pride in it and is determined to be the best salesman possible.

None of his further trainings have prepared him for this though.

Standing opposite him in sweats, a tight t-shirt and with a terrible case of bed-hair – terrible for Isaac’s composure that is, is his teenage love.

No, not his first boyfriend – his first celebrity crush. He used to follow his youtube channel religiously, probably would still, if “Stiles” hadn’t stopped posting a few years ago.

And now he’s standing in front of him, holding toilet paper and a melon of all things, obviously having grown into his body and grown out his hair – and all Isaac can think off is Stiles lip-syncing to Wannabe in that damned v-neck

"I Didn't Acheive You": Parents and Parent-figures in Sarah Rees Brennan's Unmade

I am, in general, a sociable and extroverted creature. But I maybe sat in the middle of a Halloween party the night before last and finished reading the last couple chapters of Sarah Rees Brennan’s Unmade.

I’ve been adjusting to the new job, and haven’t been online very much, which meant that I was actually completely unaware until a couple days ago that Unmade had been released, along with Monstrous Affections, which contains the conclusion to Rees Brennan’s absolutely fantastic Turn of the Story. I’m still digesting and working my way through the book hangover (and also the actual hangover), but initial not-spoiler-free thoughts are beneath the cut. Originally they were going to be very general, but then I realized that I was writing an entire goddamn essay about the role of parents in Unmade and decided to go with it. My citations might not be completely accurate, since I’m still waiting for my hard copy of the book to arrive in the store and am relying on the digital copy on my phone.

I was really tempted to title this “Who (and where) is your daddy?” but I restrained myself.

KAMEKAME!! Thank you sO much for translating Mafu's 'Berserk'!! Even though I didn't understand hearing the song at first, you could feel Mafu's feelings resonating through the song :') Ah, so I have a request/question! Though I can grasp it generally, I want to really deeply understand what Mafu was trying to say. What do you think Mafu was trying to convey through the song? (Like, what was the 'story'?) What does he mean by 'underclass'? Thank you! From one Mafu fan to another, xoxoxo!

Hello, thanks for reading my “Berserk” translation, and sorry for the long overdue reply! ((><)) I’ll try to write out my personal interpretation (which may end up pretty long), so I hope it helps your view of the song!

Song Interpretation of Berserk

In this world of distorted values, the narrator is so restricted in his thoughts and actions that he loses control over his own identity, thus creating a double consciousness where his external personality is separate and conflicting with his internal one. This is where the song title “Berserk” comes in, as the job “berserker” in video games often refers to a state in which the character gains massive amounts of power and vitality but has no command over his actions. In this case, the “power” that the narrator of “Berserk” receives is his rage, signified by the intense chorus of the song.

From the video, the white persona represents his internal “pure” self, while the black persona represents his external “corrupted” self. His internal self consists of naivete as well as his untainted feelings & ideas, but as he continues to be exposed to “this prison we call life”, he starts to lose this original identity. This is shown by the phrases “Like a puzzle that seems to have missing pieces / I’ve become unable to recall my memories”. His current self, consisting of a mix of the two white & black halves, finds it impossible to find peace because the outlooks on the past and the world don’t match. In addition, the phrase “It’s scary; before I had even known you / I had already killed you, you know” refers to how the creation of his black persona from immorality has killed his pure, white one. Because the longer he lived the more corrupt he was painted, the narrator had never been able to come to fully understand his original feelings & ideas as a youth ― his words were unwillingly snatched away by society/others before he could.

In place of his lost white persona, a black persona fills its place as “a twisted me” the narrator never wanted to become. However, because he only wants to return to his white ideal, or a time when he felt happiness and expressed laughter, this creates a never-ending internal conflict that is sung about in “Berserk”. The narrator is frustrated and unable to accept this self that adapts to the existing corrupt society, which is why he would rather “let anything and everything disappear” and be pierced through (and die) with a finger of judgment. He does not feel “human” because of this conflict and awareness within him that the darkness is spreading and overwriting his pureness, and the awareness causes him to feel incomplete ― “as if something more important than all else [is supposed to] exist here”. Believing that there is no hope for someone as tainted as him, the narrator explains that it is why he is so obsessed with the virtual world (i.e. “the inside of a computer screen”) than reality, and continues to describe fantasies about burning down both himself and the world that caused him to turn out this way. Although he is turning into a fully black existence like the surroundings around him, the narrator continues struggling to free himself of the influences, as seen by the ending phrases “once I unfasten / these hateful manacles”. He tries to break away from being the “underclass”, usually defined as the lower classes in society who are underrepresented, overlooked, and unable to effect change to the environment they live in, no matter how slim the chances are. By bidding it goodbye, the narrator wants to determine who he is and his future by himself.

Sorry for the length again, but this is how I interpreted the story of “Berserk” to be! Mafumafu has said numerous times that this is one of the songs he treasures the most, so hopefully my interpretation somewhat gave it justice (^^;;)

[”Berserk” Song Translation]

Why after TLM it’s still 90% certain Blind Ivan worked with Stanford

1) Let’s start with my reasoning behind there being another, third person, working with Stanford besides Fiddleford, especially on the Project Portal:

a) three-part harmony:

b) 3 Portal shutdown keys:

c) Look at those 3 human-like silhouettes below:

Wouldn’t it seem more logical to somehow distinguish the crash dummy from the rest that is humans? Also the pose that “dummy” makes while entering the portal looks very human-like.

Stanford: “Many long nights were spent perfecting the machine. (…)  The time had come to test it.”

The reason why we use crash dummies for tests is to check if an action is safe for humans = it was planned from the start that someone was to enter the Portal = the third member of Project Portal.

d) This picture from the Last Mabelcorn:

Why are they standing so far from each other?? It looks as if there was something between them… maybe someone who got erased from their memory but the empty space remained! Okay, maybe it’s for the aesthetics but… still.. it’s just odd. Especially if you consider this quote from SotBE:

“You’ve never met me before. And if you had, you wouldn’t remember.  I am Blind Ivan, and we are the Society of the Blind Eye.”
He was the person who didn’t remember anything from his life besides his time in the Society and was attributed “a life of regret” in SotBE’s credits:

“Gideon’s Tantrums = Bud Gleeful, Misspelled Tattoos = the “Head, Chin” bodyguard, Shandra’s Rejections = Toby Determined, Society’s views =Woodpecker Guy, A fear of witches = the guy who gave Waddles to Mabel , A life of regret = Blind Ivan, these are the things that they try to forget”

It seems pretty logical for a person who regrets his past so much he decided to erase his whole identity from his memory to also make sure no one else remembers seeing him before, including Fiddleford and Stanford.

e)  What Dipper read aloud from Journal 3 in Dreamscaperers:

“It is possible to follow the demon into a person’s mind and prevent his chaos. One must simply recite this incantation:”

If it was only Ford who was possessed what use could this be? He can’t enter his own mind and after Bill’s betrayal, when Ford could need someone’s help in getting Bill out of his mind, Fiddleford already quit the project so there was no one who could do this for him. So the incarnation must have been used by Stanford on someone else or vice versa. So again: there must have been a third person involved.

f) If Ford installed the metal plate in his head after Bill’s betrayal = after Fiddleford left the project: HOW DID IT HAPPEN? Hospitals don’t do such operations just because a person is afraid of a demon entering their mind. Doing this yourself is impossible, plus Ford has a degree in Theoretical Physics, not Medicine. There must have been someone else Ford at least remotely trusted = worked with before, who did it for him.

g) Stanford stitching his memories together?:

Ford in AToTS:  “But I couldn’t make it alone. I decided to call up my old college buddy, Fiddleford McGucket, a young but brilliant mechanic, who was wasting his talent trying to make personal computers some garage in Palo Alto.

- It’s highly unrealistic that Fiddleford, who had a wife and a son, didn’t consult them before agreeing to move out and work on the Portal and instead said yes immediately as we were shown in AToTS.

Fiddleford in SotBE: “ For the past year I have been working as an assistant for a visiting researcher

If Fiddleford lived in GF and met Ford there, then perhaps, the “college buddy” was someone else… “the third person”?

got you interested? look under the cut:

2) Why Blind Ivan specifically?

ok, so there's a post in the Westallen tag comparing Iris's and Cailtin's individual storylines this semester and pretty much saying that Cailtin is getting the "perks of a leading lady" because she gets her own story and Iris is just a love interest for Barry. I didn't want to give them any notes, so I wanted to ask you for your option. I think having a romantic connection to the show's lead is better than not having any at all, so...

If anyone watching the show views Caitlin as the leading lady… they probably need to rewatch the show.

As much as I’m an advocate for Iris having separate storylines away from Barry… as an Iris supporter, I personally feel it’s “safer” when her storylines do connect to the show’s main lead.

In a perfect television world, the female lead would be able to have her own storylines separate from the male lead and still be deemed important and valuable to the overall story. But this isn’t a perfect television world… it’s Greg Berlanti’s television world, where everything revolves around a single title character. And unfortunately "the curse of the second-billed-actor/actress” is a real thing.

A video of Dan popped up on my YouTube with the title "Do you want children?" and I was like... 'Oh, maybe I can find some Phan related things' not expecting that I actually would... So, Dan was like 'yeah I want kids' but what stumped me was he said "who wants me to /adopt/ them?". I'm not trying to suggest something but I'm a little curious as to if he is actually with Phil romantically because he didn't mention actually getting someone pregnant, he mentioned adoption...

IMO, they’ve talked before about having kids, haha. In this video Dan also says he loves kids and he wants 2 or 3 & would be the best parent ever, but that he is definitely to busy right now.

And from professional point of view and they career, we already know that Dan and Phil have it all planned out for like 2 years in advance or so, they are going to even start selling merchandise together, and Dan said how there will be lots of announcments in the following days about their radio/youtube stuff. And from the personal point of view, they are selecting furniture that matches their house, and looking for houses where to live together in case their house contract isn’t renewed, so yeah, I don’t think they have any plans of separating anytime soon ;)

To come back to baby topic, this is a conversation that happened between them live on BBC, when they talked about baby names:

Phil: I want Chester Lester and Sylvester Lester

Dan: Please don’t! Think of your family Phil!

Phil: You know what I would name my child if it had your last name?

Dan: What?

Phil: Wolf.

Dan: Wolf Howell? Haha. STOP!

It's not hard to understand the mistrust between steve and tony though. Tony build an armor and become the iconic hero "iron man", which imho, implies Tony's personality that he didn't trust easily and reveal the true himself and emotions to anyone.

yes and no. that’s a massive oversimplification.

tony separated his identity from iron man not because of trust issues but because the fact that he is iron man is literally a weakness. he created an alter ego for iron man for pertinent physical reasons such as if anyone knew tony stark was iron man he’d be in a loT of danger because there was a time in comics when he had to recharge his heart in order to stay alive – that would pose a huge risk out on the field and the avengers would probably not be okay with someone who had a heART condition fighting alongside them. but he also believed for the longest time, too, that the avengers preferred iron man over him and that it was simply better for everyone involved if people didn’t know he was iron man. bc why would anyone want tony stark if they could have the brave armored avenger iron man who’s never done anything bad, never built weapons that hurt and killed innocent people??

yes tony has trust issues (much of which is utterly justified considering his history – romantic, professional, etc. with people screwing him over. i mean goddamn a man who’s suffered abuse, attempted murder and several extremely personal betrayals from people he’s cared deeply about or even loved having trust issues??? who would’ve thought), and when it comes to the extreme, he has problems with paranoia and the need to feel in control (not of everything mind you, mainly just himself and his technology).

‘armor’ is a metaphor for the very essence of tony down to the very simplest, stripped-back core of him. but he’s actually notoriously bad at maintaining those defences. his armor is a protection of an inner self and a physically + figuratively vulnerable heart that cares deeply and unconditionally about everything. his armor is a protection of the weaknesses he knows can be exploited so it is all the more significant when he reaches out to the people he dOEs trust and does let behind his walls.

but out of everyone he knows, he does trust steve the most. (i mean jesus christ he freaking gives steve the shutdown codes for all of the iron man suits he’s ever built.) that’s a double-edged sword though because while he trusts, and believes, in steve more than anyone, he’s almost most afraid of disappointing steve and letting him down.

Am I the only one worried after all these spoilers over the weekend? When EBR mentioned in an interview that she didn't see olicity break up unless there were secrets kept, I was 100% sure that oliver wasn't going to tell her about the son.i am one of those who want to see them kinda break up.i mean I wanted to see felicity give him back the ring, and walk away so oliver would go after her. I mean she has walk away from him a couple of times and I wanted oliver this time to go after her (1/2)

Okay I’m gonna take a detour here. Because everyone knows I’m 100% confident in Olicity and very much on the “watch and see what happens” train. So instead, I’m going to address something this ask made me think while I was reading it.  It’s something I’ve thought while reading so many other asks I’ve gotten just like this. This happened last year too.

I think the reason you and other people have no faith in the writers is that you’re fixed on your own vision and uninterested in giving another vision a chance. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, I’m not trying to make you feel bad, I’m not saying this is wrong. So many people do it. But I think this is why you and others are bothered and I am not.

(first I’m going to apologize for going off on your ask… this isn’t specifically geared towards you so please don’t take it that way.. I’m addressing a general fandom rationale I’ve noticed, using your ask. I am not calling YOU or anyone else specific out on anything, just giving my thoughts on this matter.)

I got many not very friendly messages over the last two days about the SatsuRyu Takepro art (and now apparently even about the IraMako art lol) and I usually wouldn’t even bother to reply to such uncivil anon messages but wow, this^ is a whole new level of rudeness I can’t ignore that easily.
