this is the correct one

UF/UT Papyrus, US Bros, and SF Bros react to an S/O who notices they're overworking themselves or winding themselves too tight, so they pull their skelly into a cuddle and just hold them in their arms while giving them skull rubs.

wait, so the skeles are the ones overworking themselves, correct?

Fell will deny that he’s overworking himself and to leave him alone; he knows what he’s doing. But you’re annoyingly stubborn and persistent, just like he is and you force him to sit down on the couch with you as you nuzzle into the crook of his neck and wrap your arms around him to prevent your powerful boyfriend from escaping.  Fell screams from the sudden cuddlefest, and tries to shake you off and get back to work, but you hang onto him for dear life. He even tries running around the block to shake you off (also, it’s great exercise and training) but you’re determined to latch on. Eventually, Fell tires himself out and flops on the bed, snuggling close to you.

It’s very easy to get Papaya to relax, so he melts in your arms and cuddles up next to you in bed, purring softly. He tell you every day that he’s grateful that you’re here to look after him and take care of him.

You can’t latch onto Blue like Fell (mainly because he’s too small) and he’s not as easy as Papaya, so you have to lure him by playing the victim. As Blue sorts out the paperwork, come crying to him about how much you miss him and how he should take a break to spend time with you. It’s a little devious to guilt trip him like that, but he’s going to overwork himself to death if you don’t intervene. Once you have him in your grip, then you can latch onto him and use a trick that Stretch taught you, lay on top of him to prevent him from escaping and kiss him everywhere so he’s too flustered to teleport. It works every time.

Stretch rarely overworks, but when he does, he never turns down the invitation to relax and cuddle.  He’ll happily accept your gentle rubs and chaste, innocent kisses. But if you’re down for sexy time, so is he.

Black is even moe stubborn than Fell and the only way to get him to stop working is to chain him down with anti-magic metal so he can’t teleport, then force him to cuddle with you. Careful he bites. But he’ll spend the entire time fighting you until he tires himself out and falls asleep. Black will never ever admit defeat, but after he wakes up, he’ll continue fighting. At this point, cue the guilt tripping. Because you said that he has to stop, Black now HAS to continue working because he doesn’t like being told what to do and the only way counteract that is to start crying about how you just want to spend some time with him and that you miss him. Even if he doesn’t act like it, you’re the most important thing to him and will begrudgingly accept your cuddles and nice rubs. He won’t ever admit this, but he’s glad you’re around to remind him that there’s more to life than work.

Rus thinks you’re being really sweet and will gladly take a break from work to cuddle with you. He’ll find any excuse to cuddle with you really, he just loves the scent of your hair, your warmth on his bones, and your smiles pressed against his teeth. He low key likes being pampered so he’ll allow you to massage him and bring him snacks while you two put on a movie or something. He’ll always pay you back with his own form of pampering.

if you don't believe in keeping track of who tops and bottoms, why do you read/possibly participate in dracotopsharry fest? :/

Once upon a time - by which I mean up to at least a couple of years ago - Draco rarely topped in H/D fic. In their 2013 study, “Ever so slightly longer but not quite as thick: Toward a quantitative literary sexology of Harry Potter fanfiction,” blythely and circe_tigana found that in stories featuring penetration Harry was twice as likely to top as Draco, and that in all the stories they looked at Draco only topped exclusively 22% of the time. The same trend was the source of the draco tops harry comm’s motto on LJ: “It has been said that Draco will only top Harry when pink unicorns fly through the sky. Beware that in this community pink unicorns are flying through the sky all the time.”

In short, the fest was started to correct a major imbalance on board this ship, and one which, anecdotally, did a fair bit to play into the heteronormative dynamics that are what make me really uncomfortable about the way people treat topping and bottoming. When I started participating in and reccing from DTH it was absolutely consistent with my overall feeling on topping and bottoming: that it shouldn’t be a tool for recreating/perpetuating dynamics wherein one member of a same-gender couple is “the man” and the other is “the woman.”

I’ve gotten a really pretty surprising number of asks about why I’m reccing from it this year and that’s honestly pretty heartening. Like, that people are thoughtful about it and holding me to what I’ve said before - I’m a fan of both of those things. Also that H/D dynamics have changed so much (in no small part because of this fest!) that people aren’t necessarily aware of how it fits into the larger picture (though some def are). And the asks have been thought-provoking - I think it’s really fair to point out that as circumstances change, people should rethink what they do - and I’ll answer another of them when I have more time to get into the meat of the issue.

For now, the practical, honest answer: because when I’ve participated in it in, it’s been an awesome experience; because I’m in the habit/it’s become part of my internal fandom calendar; because I’m either sure or p sure that some of my favorite authors are participating and inasmuch as I’ve had time to read (I’m waaaaay behind and even further behind on commenting, yikes@me) I’m impatient for their work; because I’m a big supporter of anon fests and the way they let unknown authors break into the community and DTH is one of the biggest; because H/D fests seem to be falling off just a little and I want to support one like DTH that’s well-established and going strong. So, for now, that’s why, and I promise I’ll be back with more when I’ve had time to think things through more and write them down!

Hello! So uh.. what would Newt think of if someone had acne? A lot of people see that as a deal breaker.. (((also do you have any tips on getting rid of acne?)))

Oh honey, Newt would not be rude or anything to you if you have acne. After all he’s someone who falls in love with your personality. Plus Newt would be more distracted and entranced by your beautiful smile with your sparking eyes :3

•don’t pick, I know you hear it a lot, but it’s so terrible for your skin. I still have trouble with that because no one corrected me early on
•if it’s a few breakouts, what I do know is a leave-on treatment overnight, but it’s not any expensive gel or stuff. What I use is either baby powder, tea tree oil, or some Neosporin , and you dab your choice onto the pimple and leave it (maybe put a band-aid over it)
•try to create a routine for your skin, and stick with it, your skin will get used to this routine and will be easier to control breakouts and such
•also drink water, it helps clear your skin by flushing out toxins easier, oh and this includes eating stuff with antioxidants (I’m not even close to being rich, so what I do is just sometimes splurge on some blueberries to help)
•also start feeling more comfortable in your own skin, I know that in days that I feel more confident in my face, I’m so much happier and such, which contrasts the days I feel I look bad and kinda get bummed and such

(Im practically an expert at this stuff by now after dealing with severe and now minor acne for almost 4-5 years so I’m sorry if this was so long!)

Why do companies purposely misspell words to make their companies? Is it a lazy rich person thing or is it mommy and daddy paid off their english teachers and no one corrected them?

So I just searched Juliet on one of those public records websites and it says she's 47, the website is pretty reliable since I searched the rest of BVB in it and a few people in my family and friends and the age was correct. The relatives on her one are right and the places she used to live in our correct.

Someone very politely pointed out that Hugo’s book is problematic, and with their permission, I’m posting my reply here. They are absolutely correct. One of the biggest twists and also the biggest flaws of the book is the revelation that Esme is a woman’s long-lost daughter who was literally snatched from the cradle by Roma women. Effectively, any prejudice citizens have of Esme is made ironic not because Esme is not in fact a sorceress by virtue of her being perceived as Roma, but because the citizens have been ridiculing one of their own without realising this. And the problem lies in the perpetuation of Roma being thieves, kidnappers, cheats etc.

Such problems should not be excused but rather highlighted and discussed.

As a huge fan of the Disney movie, the source material becomes important to me. I have read NDdP a few times from cover to cover (not counting the times when I just pulled out the book to read parts of it). I love the book and the movie for different reasons. My general love for Hugo stems from his writing, including Les Mis (which in itself has a few issues). I love the book for its witty dialogue, satire, melodrama, sprawling descriptions of scenes and events, and deliberately more complex and morally ambiguous characters. The book is problematic and depressing for the messages it conveys. Even if it tries to show how the Church and State abuse their power and marginalise people, it does not depict women and minorities in a progressive way. The portrayal of Esme is in itself problematic and does not suit the modern view of a heroine.

I love the movie for the messages it conveys, and teaching the audience lessons which remain important, such as acceptance, love, and equality. I love the changes the movie made to the characters, for changing Phoebus from the original douche to a hero. For softening the roughness of the original Quasi and making him a gentle character, and of course for changing Esme in many aspects to make her the kick-ass heroine we admire. To that extent, the Disney movie in itself has problems, such as the labels used and I am aware of issues that people have with Esme as well. But there is progress, and the messages the movie seeks to convey are clear.

My enthusiasm when it comes to the book arises from discourse and new material. The fandom is extremely small, and when creative people come up with new fanart or otherwise, I get excited and wish to spread it.

tldr: My love of the book does not condone the problems in it. I am grateful to the person who highlighted this to me privately so that I can have the chance to clarify and set out my position here. If anyone wishes to discuss this, I’ll be happy to.

Hey gorgeus (I love your icon), so, after the last episode of TBL, how bad it would if the show moved Liz and Agnes to New York? To the girls be with Tom, for Liz along Tom rule Halcyon Aegis, since after everything Mr.Kaplan said, because is a totally shame the way they treat them, as they took four season to build them as family, and they simply break them apart, and they not even mention Tom a single time?!!? This is ridiculous!!! Sorry about the rant. So sorry!

Hey there anon! Thank you so much! You’re very sweet. I’m rather fond of that Loki helmet… funny story, though, I never actually bought it. A friend of mine and I were at a costume shop and they didn’t sell it separately from the costume (which was not in my size) so we had to settle for a picture. I really should correct that and find a one before the new movie comes out. Maybe even take an updated picture :P

Okay, before I weigh in on the question about New York (which is a fun question!) I feel the need to say that I do not believe they have mishandled Keen2. They worked very hard and made it very clear leading into Redemption how solid they are and how much Liz was supporting him. Nothing about that has changed. In last night’s episode (4.18) they spoke about Tom and the tough time he was having uncovering his past. So, yes, they have mentioned him. The episodes airing right now are part of the ones that were filmed at the same time that Redemption was filming. Ryan’s impressive and has a lot of energy, but even he can’t be in two places at once, so it makes sense that we won’t see him for a bit on the main show. Liz wasn’t mentioned in every episode on Redemption, but it was made clear that Tom had a wife and child at home that he loves deeply. The same has already been set up in the Blacklist. Now that they’ve explained for those that didn’t watch Redemption where he is, there’s no reason to keep bringing him up unless it is something that will help to progress the storyline forward. Once he’s back on the show, we’ll see/hear more about him. Until then, we may get a mention every now and again to remind us where he is, but I really don’t see it as a mishandling of the relationship at all. I think the writers have done exceptionally well with it. They’re still together, even if not physically. They have not broken them apart and nothing in the storyline has indicated that they have or that they plan to.

Now, as to Liz and Agnes moving to New York. It’s a possibility, but I don’t think until quite a bit down the road. Her team is stationed in DC, and we’ve seen that her team means a great deal to her. They’re Agnes’ godparents and she worked really hard to get her badge back. That, and hers and Red’s story most certainly isn’t over. Depending on how tightly they tie Redemption and the main show’s storyline together in S5, I think it’s much more likely you’ll see Tom shift back down to the DC offices (that we know they have, because they were operating out of DC in S3).

Eventually, after the main show’s story wraps (so either in fanfiction or possibly even Redemption if it went this direction) I could see Liz thriving at Halcyon. I think it has just the right balance of legal and less red tape (no pun intended) to get through for someone like her. I think Tom works very well there and will moving forward after he gets through the crazy parent issues. If they did go up to NYC (and this is something @tessabltheorist has mentioned over on the @keenmindspodcast) it’d be really cool to see the task force either in part or full relocate to NYC and be Halcyon’s  point of contact in the bureau. I could see Liz working between them in that case and that’d be fantastic.

And yes. Agnes will someday rule Halcyon. That child will be unstoppable lol

Humans are Weird

So, I just thought of my own humans-are-the-weird-ones thing. What if humans were the only race to develop clothing and other things that are used simply to change our appearance. The other races don’t use clothing for protection from their home environments, and use vehicles for exploring non-native environments. Armor exists, but in a non-ornamental way, and generally doesn’t do much to change appearance, or is at least non-individualized. Makeup and nail polish are unknown, though tattoos and piercings are known to be used by some cultures for ranking and identification purposes and are not used ornamentally by any race other than humans. Hairstyles are not unknown, but are all generally for practical (keep it out of the way! I need insulation! I need shade!) reasons.

At first, aliens just think that there are a lot more humans than there really are, that humans that look alike with small differences are just family members, and that humans just naturally tend to be known solely by their family name. (Like, Alien “Ralph” meets Human “Bella Tailor” one day, sees her the next day in a different outfit, and thinks that he/she is meeting a relative of the human he/she met earlier, and that their family name is “BellaTailor.”)

Humans, at first, just thought that aliens were terrible at matching faces and names… and that they were apparently all nudists, but hey, who cares? Different cultures and races and all that, you know.

“Hello, BellaTailor. My name is Ralph. I believe I met your relative the other day. How is she doing?”

“I do not have a sister, Ralph. You must be mistaken.”

“That cannot be! She looks just like you, only more… pink, I believe is the correct color-word… and has your name! You must be relatives! It would be too much of a coincidence for you to not be related!”

“Where… exactly… did you meet my ‘sister’?”

“Oh! We were on the same shuttle together. I must admit I am surprised; I thought that there was only one human on the ship’s roster.”

“Ralph, I am the human you met there. Remember how we talked about how uncomfortable those one-race-fits-all shuttle seats are?”

“But… no… you are different colors and patterns! This is a terrible joke. I wouldn’t suggest trying it on anyone else.”

“Dude, all I did was change my clothes. It’s not like I’m a whole ‘nother person, despite what commercials and such would have you believe.”

“Right… nudist… um… let me just… show you?”

Bella precedes to take off her top (not like they’ll care, they’re nudist anyway, right? eep, here goes nothing, really hope this is okay). Ralph thinks she means that they’re a race that sheds their skin, though he’s put out and puzzled over how no one mentioned that fact to anyone. After all, shedded skins can really clutter up an area, especially at the rate she seems to shed, though it could explain a few things. Bella, frustrated, puts her top back on, takes Ralph to her quarters, and shows him her clothing (which was still mostly packed due to limited storage space). Ralph finally sort-of understands, but the idea is totally trippy and weird to him.

“What did you think I brought so much luggage for?”

“Well, I didn’t really want to pry, and your planet is… a bit… cluttered…”

*sigh* “Dude, I can’t… I just… urgh! WHY ME?!?!?!”

After many misunderstandings the aliens are brought to understand that humans can change their appearance in many ways, practically at-will.

Then the whole issue of “camouflage” comes up. By this point, humans have developed advanced camouflage that automatically mimics the wearer’s surroundings. The other races react in various ways. Some are rather neutral about this discovery. Others are afraid. But many desire to obtain the art and secrets of “camouflage” for themselves. The earth and humans are now at the center of a conflict that borders on war - Intergalactic war. Because we’re the only race to have actually thought of camouflage. Thankfully, the other races begin to catch on before full-blown war is unleashed, but it is a very close thing.

@howtotrainyournana @crossroadsdimension Look! I came up with one! :D YAY for tired-brain-creativity! WHOOO (don’t really feel tired now, but I should be, and I know I will be when I have to wake up in four hours. :/ why does the coffee only seem to work when you actually want/need to sleep?)

'Crazy Rich Asians' Lands Its Male Lead (Exclusive)
Henry Golding, who has never starred in a feature film before, will play Nick Young in the adaptation directed by Jon M. Chu.

Crazy Rich Asians has landed its male lead, casting Henry Golding to play Nick Young.

Fresh Off the Boat actress Constance Wu is starring in the adaptation of Kevin Kwan’s hit book about the lives of wealthy Chinese families living in Singapore. Jon M. Chu is directing the Warner Bros. film.

The story follows Rachel Chu (Wu), an American-born Chinese economics professor, who travels to her boyfriend Nick’s (Golding) hometown of Singapore for his best friend’s wedding. Before long, his secret is out: Nick is from a family that is impossibly wealthy, he’s perhaps the most eligible bachelor in Asia, and every single woman in his ultra-rarefied social class is incredibly jealous of Rachel and wants to bring her down.

Michelle Yeoh is attached to play Nick’s controlling mother who disapproves of Rachel.

Color Force’s Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson, as well as Ivanhoe president John Penotti, are producing. Kevin Kwan will serve as executive producer along with Ivanhoe chairman Robert Friedland. Courtenay Valenti and Jon Gonda will oversee the project for Warner Bros.

With plans to feature an all-Asian cast, the filmmakers have set out on a worldwide search to find the stars of Crazy Rich Asians. Golding, whose father is from England and his mother from the Iban tribe in Sarawak, Malaysia, is a true discovery. He is currently based in Singapore after growing up in London, and has never been featured in a film, but has experience hosting for TV travel shows. He is represented by management company FLY Entertainment in Singapore.
