the plot from wiki says:
Set in an alternate Earth on the eve of the 2nd World War, the story follows Izetta, the last surviving member of a clan of witches that possesses the ability to magically manipulate any object that they touch. Izetta pledges to help protect Princess Finé and the tiny Alpine country of Eylstadt from invasion by the imperialistic forces of Germania
so whatever she touches, she can manipulate with magic so she literally flies around on a gun she finds/ or takes down a battalion with lances and swords its really badass
theres also like prime fanservice opportunities, what with her flying around and whatnot BUT THEY DONT DO IT ITS GREAT Like they always show that she has shorts on. The only bootyshot i saw was more comical then fanservice-y and it was while she was flipping a tank over soooo
also there are some GAY moments, like really sweet ones and its only been 3 episodes.
Princess Finé is like the best princess ever, she is a true leader and really loves her people and shes just great i would take a bullet for her too tbh
heres some gifs to see if ur interested ;D
princess if fucking 100% ready to fight at all times its great she jumps off a fucking train
they are battle couple that fight airplanes while riding a gun
i wasnt kidding when i said she flips tanks
i cant find one where theyre flying and fine pulls the trigger on the gun to take down a plane but its rly great
I mean, I have a Bionicle icon, a Bionicle tag, not just one, but two Bionicle blogs…so why don’t I tell you a bit about it? So, as Turaga Vakama once said…
Gathered friends, listen again to our legend of the…
In a time before time - by which I mean, in the year 2001 - Lego released the first Bionicle sets. And in 2010, they discontinued the line. But this year, they brought it back, with a full reboot. Yes, reboot, since this wasn’t just about toys. Bionicle was a story, a mythos, a world. The figures weren’t just toys, they were characters, with names and personalities and (more or less) clearly defined powers. I’m not gonna go into the whole story, since, well…it’s ten years worth of stuff! And even I’m kinda rusty when it comes to details. Especially since, even as a kid, I wasn’t that deep into the story. I always knew the basic idea of the current story arc, but never read any of the novels or comics and only saw two of the four movies. But let’s explain it as short as I can.
So, there’s the island of Mata Nui…
…which is named after the Great Spirit Mata Nui, who first was presented like this…
…but we later found out he actually looks like this…
…it’s complicated. Anyway, the great spirit was imprisoned by the evil spirit Makuta (who’s actually called Teridax, but…whatever…), who kinda looks like this:
And so, the people on the island summon the Toa, six great warriors who control the elements: Fire, Water, Air, Earth, Stone and Ice. They’re destined to fight Makuta’s minions, find the six great Kanohi masks of power and restore peace to the land.
That’s the basic gist of the first storyline. It went on and got more complex. With old Toa and new Toa and new islands and other planets and…it was so cool. One thing that made it cool was its unique aesthetic. Bionicle started as a subset of Lego’s Technic line, so all the characters and creatures looked robotic. But they weren’t robot warriors flying through space and shooting laser beams and plasma balls at each other…well, okay, they did, but that was later. They were tribals and heroes, who used magical elemental powers and mystic masks to save the day. It was great. And it still is. Because, like I said: They rebooted it this year! So, if you missed out the first time around, you can experience a whole new Bionicle story from the very beginning. The first arc that just concluded seems a little simplistic, but who knows what the future holds?
I know I didn’t say that much, but…damn, it’s something you have to experience for yourself! It’s great and the reboot means you can jump in without knowing anything about the story that preceded it. Experience a whole new world, built on the foundation set in the 2000′s.
