this is not what i should be doing at all

Yo I’d like to bring some shit up cause I’ve seen some posts about it. Shipping Ryan and Meg is (or at least can be) different from gross jokes about them.

I personally have hard times reading non au’s for this fandom b/c I need that separation from their real life or it gets a bit too creepy for me. But usually even not including irl spouses (whether they’re ok with being in fanfic or not) is the bare minimum of whether I can read it or not.

But that all doesn’t really matter but my main point is:

You can ship Meg and Ryan in fan fiction, and not comment on every cosplay shoot saying “poor gavin”

You can ship Meg and Ryan in fan fiction, and not say their spouses should be worried that they went to Japan together.

What you’re doing there (if you are doing it) is assuming that a married man and a committed girlfriend would cheat on their respective spouses. Which is really fucking gross.

So tip for all you nasties: gain a disconnect from fanfic and real life. Stop with the jokes about it. Meg has repeatedly on her Twitter said she’s done with the jokes.

You can still ship them in your fanfics but to drag that into the real world and make gross jokes is disrespectful to all parties involved.

I’d also like to point out that even if AH makes the joke, you don’t have automatic permission to copy those comments AND you should recognize when the joke is run down and stop. (Hell, even one party of the joke being uncomfortable should be a key to stopping.)

Any advice on how to deal with failure? College is kicking my butt at the moment and any advice would be helpful. By the way you did an amazing job on voices for BOTW, I can't wait to see what you do in the future!

Let me tell you something about failure.

Way more often than it should, failure manages to convince us that we aren’t something. Not that we aren’t enough, mind you, but simply that we just aren’t.

This isn’t true. Failure at singing a song does not mean you aren’t a singer; failure to climax doesn’t mean you aren’t a good lover. Failing a test does not mean you aren’t a proper student, and failure did not make Nikola Tesla “not an inventor”; rather, it taught him all the different ways that would not result in what he was going for, leading him ever closer to finding the way(s) that would.

When we fail, we are given an opportunity to reflect and pore back through our actions and decisions. We have the chance to try and figure out what went wrong, or what we might have done that wasn’t as effective as we thought, or even what we did that hurt our efforts more than it helped. It is the ultimate reminder to review our process, because it’s sometimes harder when we succeed to remind ourselves to go back and identify what contributed to that success.

Failure is incredible, because it is the single easiest way in the world to make new friends. Nowhere in life is there an easier starting topic of conversation than going to someone who you feel is doing well at the thing you failed at, and asking them to help you figure out what to do.

Can you imagine? Regardless of how well you know this person, you’ve already made them feel important and valuable by asking for their assistance, and in turn you’re giving yourself the chance to improve instead of simply giving up. And further still, you’ve already established a common interest that you both share and can grow at together! What ridiculous efficiency!

In voiceover especially, this kind of connection is essential, because often when we ‘fail’ we are given absolutely no further information on the degree to which we did not succeed. Of those 20 auditions I never heard back from, I have no idea whether I missed the mark completely, if I submitted a strong take but just happened to not be the subjectively ‘best’ choice, or if something happened that was completely unrelated to the audition but nevertheless had an impact on my chances. And despite not having this knowledge, I must push myself to learn by any means necessary; I must move beyond the sting of rejection and refocus on further bettering my chances at accomplishment.

Make no mistake; failure fucking sucks. But it’s not devoid of success, and it most certainly does not represent a complete waste of effort and time (unless we allow it to be). How we deal with failure is very telling of how we will deal with a lot of situations in life where the problem we’re dealing with is not as simple as we want it to be; it’s up to you to determine how much you want those moments to play an important role in your development and path to success.

Workout Log 3-23-17

Man, I don’t know what it was about today–but, cardio. Status: Slayed. Maybe it’s because I slept like an absolute rock? Maybe I hit some sort of exact sliver of time for ingesting my fruit and water beforehand? I dunno. Could be all the carbohydrates I ate yesterday! Dunno. Column A, Column B. There’s also the chance that I’m just getting better. Oh, gosh. I should just let myself have this victory. Why, yes. I don’t mind if I do! I did it, after all.

But, I’m comfortably holding a steady 5 mph pace this morning (up from 4.5 mph in previous weeks) and getting my bursts up to 7 mph (up from 6.0 and 6.5 mph in previous weeks) and wasn’t even entering peak heart zone this morning. I was thinking, “Holy crap, I can still breathe?” I did stick a little walk cycle in, but damn. Not bad for a chick who couldn’t jog 30 seconds straight 18 months ago!

Playlist Picks: Rick Jame’s Super Freak,” tell me that bass line doesn’t make you want to dance! I wouldn’t believe you if you said no. And, Nu Shooz’s “I Can’t Wait.” As much as I wanted to bust moves out on the treadmill, that’s how you get permanent brain damage, I gather.

Now that I’m home I can actually dance to this music!

On Sidney Crosby (and his recent incidents).

So along with the amazing goal he had in our last game, Sid has been the subject of much controversy due to his stick to the groin of O’reilly and the slash to Methot’s hand tonight.

Both should have been penalties. However, do you realize how many times throughout the course of a single game, let alone a season, things that could be penalties are NOT called?

The stick to the groin was a shitty play and I do think he knew what he was doing (Sidney Crosby does not miss pucks often, if at all).

However, slashes happen multiple times in ANY given game. Methot was really unlucky that it hit him in a bad spot and I wish he hadn’t been injured and that he is able to play again soon.

But if you think some random referees mean that the LEAGUE has a bias towards the Penguins I honestly don’t know what to tell you.

Should he have been fined for the cheap shot in Buffalo? Probably. Should he have gotten penalties for both of the above instances? Absolutely.

But the man also takes so many cheap shots each and every game that I’m not entirely surprised that he reacts and does things like this from time to time.

I watch literally every regular season game (and obviously all of playoffs). Has Sid been known to make a dirty play every now and then? Sure, but you know what? He also usually is the first to apologize if it’s something truly awful (he did this just the other night after he ball-tapped O’Reilly).

Anyway, has he taken some dirty plays that should have been penalties recently? Yes. Is he a “dirty player”? I personally don’t think so, but I’m sure there are people out there who will disagree with me.

Also, to those claiming “The League” favors the Penguins, that’s kind of laughable. We are penalized pretty regularly and our challenge and overturned goal totals are pretty far up there, too.

But, hey, who am I to tell you to stop whining about Sidney Crosby? After all, that’s what you all hate him for, right? Being a whiner back in his rookie year?

Watch the first season, the first part of season 2, and then… skim through the rest, but watch the season 2 finale, and then read the wiki for what you missed.

I was thinking today that we should really just be happy with what Sam and Cait are willing to show us about them. I know people want selfies and pictures of what they are up to all the time but you know what, I'm glad that they do things together or go on trips that we know no part of. Not everything needs to be documented for SM. Sometimes when I'm at a party or on vacation or even a night out with a group I don't feel the need to run to SM. Sometimes it's just nice to live in the moment.

It’s natural for fans to want more, but you are correct that Sam and Cait aren’t under any obligation to share any of the personal stuff with us. But what is really telling here is that they do choose to share personal stuff- and what it is they choose to share when they do. Together stuff. Stuff that directly contradicts the narrative that is apparently being woven for the two of them when they are in any proximity to LA, or to any studio sponsored outings such as awards appearances etc.
It’s such a lovely sight to see when they post this sort of stuff that it is only natural to want to see more, and I am certain that there is indeed much more that they are not sharing. And that’s ok. What they are sharing all points to one conclusion. And the unshared rest of it is allowing them the privacy that any healthy relationship needs.
It seems to me that what they share is just like the small above water part of a very large iceberg. And just like with the iceberg I can be confident that that publicly shared tip is just the part that I am being allowed to see of a much larger whole. With that iceberg there is a lot of ice floating below the water’s surface that I can’t see- and I am confident that there is also a lot of relationship hidden below the surface of what they are sharing with us here as well.

What do you do when you get to the point where you hate everything you write?

Honestly? Stop writing.

Take a break from writing. Look at things that you love, that make you excited about life. I know that, for me, reading Tolkien’s works and watching movies with great stories like Midnight in Paris and Moulin Rouge always get me excited about writing.

Then look at yourself. Are you writing to be famous? To make other people happy? Do you feel like you should have made more progress than you have? What has changed from when you loved writing to know? Have you made your story too difficult or complicated that it feels like homework instead of fun?

I recommend reading over the old stuff that you wrote when you loved writing. Don’t allow yourself to judge what you’ve written, because we all learn as we write. For me, my middle school writing is awful, but I can see what I loved about writing in it.

Just take some time to yourself and let yourself feel that excitement that you used to feel about writing. If you have something more specific that you are struggling with about it, then feel free to message us again and we can give more specific advice. I’m sorry that you’re going through them. I’ve been there and it’s awful. But you CAN GET THROUGH IT FRIEND.

Hope this helps. Let us know if you have more questions.

How do you feel about the new healthcare bill they are trying to pass? Do you feel like there should be healthcare for all? I'm worried about people not being covered? Also, what can I do as a citizen to play a roll in making sure the latino community is protected?

I think the Republicans’ healthcare bill, or “TrumpCare,” as I prefer to call it, is a horrible piece of legislation that they should be ashamed of trying to make into law. Unfortunately, you are right to worry about the people not being covered if the bill is passed – experts and nonpartisan groups have predicted that TrumpCare will cause millions of Americans to lose their health insurance. Every American, regardless of income, background, race, gender, or age, should have access to quality, affordable healthcare.

It’s great that you are interested in helping the community on this issue! As Congress continues to debate this legislation, the best thing you can do is call your representatives in Congress and urge them to reject this bill. Now more than ever, it’s important that Americans speak up about their concerns and make sure members in Congress are working for the community that they were elected to represent. And make sure your friends, family, and neighbors are doing it, too! When we come together and use our voices, we can be a powerful influence for change.

Hi, Saori! I see you blog a lot about Sterek and I was wondering if you read fanfiction too? If yes, can you rec me some fics to read? If not, can you recommend a blog that you think recs good fics? I find your taste in Larry fics similar to mine and I was hoping you can do the same with Sterek as well. Thank you!

Oh boy, honestly I have no idea what to say, I’m just glad that not everybody’s fed up with my Sterek spams (probably a lot of people are but oh well) :D

First things first, you should check out @theofficialstereklibrary @wheredidhiseyebrowsgo @underappreciatedsterek @acountrygirlsfun @christinesficrecs @eternalsterekrecs and if you like Larry too then @nottooldforthisship recces  awesome stuff all the time, (her sterek fic rec tag is a blessing) (my fic rec page is kind of a mess, but you can find some there too)

As of my recs, I usually don’t do it cuz I’m always anxious I’ll rec something the other doesn’t like, but since you asked so nicely here are some of my faves:

The Undisclosed (109k) - For once the pack doesn’t panic when a new hunter arrives. The gleefully sadistic man has labelled himself a collector of all things rare in the supernatural world and wants one of the rarest creatures; a werefox. Content that the pack is safe, the wolves focus on why their human member is acting so strange, ignoring the fact that Stiles only started once learning who the man wanted…

I’ve read this like, how many times? Way too many to be healthy? Seems accurate. And I’m totally not re-reading it again, nope.

Baking My Way Into Your Heart (179k) - Derek is an uptight college student, all work and no play. His carefully scheduled life is thrown kilter when his regular barista is replaced with someone new.

This fic changed my life tbh.

As Luck Would Have It (I’m already smitten) (188k, WIP) - When Stiles meets his Dom for the first time, it’s nothing like the cutesy, lovey-dovey Subflicks he used to drag Scott to when they were thirteen. There’s no burst of sunshine when they collide, no sudden swell of violins when their eyes meet; only a really big dent in the front of his Jeep and a seriously pissed off Alpha glaring at him from the sidewalk.

When I see the e-mail I shut down and don’t even look up until I finished reading the update. It’s by far the most exciting fic I’ve read, and I read A LOT.

Do Not Go Gentle (108k, WIP) - Derek Hale, Beacon Hills Alpha, is thrown into a dark cell which already contains another captive.   Someone quite young.   Someone who’s clearly been badly treated.  Someone who cannot speak and who has a cruel collar around his neck.Derek is both a Dom and an Alpha.  What do you think he’ll do?

Same with this. Mondays can’t come fast enough. Dark, but worth it for me.

Home (160k, WIP) - January seventh. Seven days since the start of 2015, and seven days since his father’s death. The bastard, he thinks bitterly. The past year Derek Hale had made it blatantly obvious that he hated his scrawny guts, taking every given opportunity to shove him up against a wall, growl threats in his ears and roll his eyes whenever he stepped into the room, muttering some snide comment about how spastic or idiotic he was.So why did he fucking volunteer to take him in?

You can’t even imagine what this fic does to me. It’s everything.

I’ve never understood the whole idea of “if Garnet told Steven about Blue Diamond, he wouldn’t have gone.”

No? The first excuse Garnet uses is ‘If you knew why, you’d only want to go more.’ She knows Steven. She knows that telling him will do literally nothing, so she doesn’t, hoping that the unknown will daunt him more than the known.

Steven was desperate for any knowledge about Pink Diamond. He kept pushing, and pushing, even when Greg gently told him ‘hey, maybe we should take a break.’ He couldn’t. He needed to know.

If Steven had known that Blue Diamond was there- someone who knew Pink Diamond personally- he would’ve jumped at the chance to know her. To know the Gem his mother shattered.

“Don’t I deserve to know the truth?” He told Garnet, and meant it.

the only run-in with Diamonds Steven has had is with Yellow Diamond, and what all did she do? Fail to threaten Peridot into following her command? Set off the communicator so it would explode? Honestly, that’s no worse than anything the other Gems he now considers friends have done to him.

He’s heard about Blue Diamond, how she wanted to shatter Ruby for accidentally fusing with Sapphire, and what have Peridot and Lapis done? Almost drowned him? Tried to blast him? Tried to crush him? Steven’s just accepted death threats as the first step to making friends.

TLDR: Garnet could’ve told him it was a monster made of lava waiting for him and Steven would’ve gone. Being aware of Blue Diamond’s presence would not have deterred him.

Tfln: maybe after they get back together and H has to go out of town for meetings or something and the missus starts sexting him and he's getting all hot and bothered?

Harry. Missus.

Why did the last 2 and a bit weeks go so quickly?

We had too much fun, didn’t we? You know what they say, love. Time goes by when you’re having fun.

We should have just stayed in bed and slept and done nothing all day. Gone to a library or something and had boring sex.

Sex with you is never boring.

You always find something new to bring to the sheets. Like when you suggested doing the 69 position. Never eaten a girl out whilst she sucked on my cock before.

Didn’t it feel good though?

So fucking good.

I’m laying in bed right now, really REALLY craving you, you know?

Well, if it helps, I’m really REALLY craving you, too.

Should have just joined you on tour.

That would have been so fun. But, you’ve got work to do for the magazine. How is everything going there?

It’s really good. They gave me my own office now. It’s pretty damn gorgeous, too. The view is so lovely! It faces the Thames and you can see all the buses go by and everyone’s bustling past. It’s so lovely.

That sounds so gorgeous! You’ll have to take me one lunchtime.

The window would be great to fuck against.

Christ.

Seriously. Pushed right up against the glass. Imagine that. We’ve had garden sex in your little pool house; now imagine the thrill of it being in an office. With people outside.

How high up are you?

7 floors.

And, I’ve looked from below, too. When I leave for work. It’s hard to get a look in and get photos through the window. You’d have to sneak in with that hideous disguise you have through the front, but, if you get unseen below, people won’t crowd outside to catch a glimpse of you.

Imagine it.

God, love.

I am.

Is it turning you on as much as it is me?

Definitely.

You want me to fuck you against the window in the bright of day, yeah? Stick my cock deep in you and fuck you up against the glass? You’re so dirty.

Your dirty girl.

Christ.

Yes.

What about giving you a nice, sloppy, quick blowie against the window? Smush your pretty arse against the window and give everyone a nice view?

Fuck.

That’ll be on my agenda when you get back. I’ll schedule it into my planner. “Give Harry a blowjob against the window of my office.”

Schedule in “Get a spank from Harry for turning him on when he’s meant to be getting ready for the day.”

Love youuuuu.

Can’t wait to get spanked.

Bent over that desk.

Yeeees.

Getting wet at the thought.

Might have to bolt towards the bathroom and get rid of this feeling…

You have an up to date dick pic for me?

Unfortunately not. But, you have loads already.

I do, but, I need some new material.

Give me a couple of hours and I’ll get one to you. I promise you. xxx

Knox: Ugh what am I gonna do? I can’t just say no, can I? I’m just gonna screw this all up!

Rhen: Should we intervene with this too? He seems pretty messed up about it.

Yasmin: Let’s just set up the entire date for them. I’m not letting all my hard work go to waste on your brother’s poor social skills.

Knox: You guys were the ones that caused all this???? UGHHHHHHH

Shu Headcanon (Lewd woman edition)

Your on your knees in front of him and he is quite amused.
‘You are right Shu..I really am lewd, I’m a dirty slut like you say I am. I can’t help but think all these dirty thoughts about you. I know I am worthless compared to you..but please, let me still please you.’
Shu’s smirk was the widest you had ever seen it.
'Heh..right. So what do you want? Should I punish you?’
'Yes please..’
He drags you up and you are thrown against the long and wide bedroom window.
Shu strips you completely and pressed your naked body against the ice cold glass. Your breasts squished and nipples erect.
'Shu..if someone sees..’
'That’s the point dirty slut…’ He whispers in your ear.
He undoes his belt and his zip.
'Now..let’s see how responsive you are today.’
His fingers are teasing your wet entrance and you can see your breath fogging the glass in front of you.
His finger moves inside you, just so he could easily slide himself in.
'Mmmn..you really are always ready for me hum?’
You feel the tip of him enter you and you are pressed harder against the glass as he starts to thrust.
'Ah..Shu..’
He picks up the pace and his hand wraps around your neck tightly as his lust grows.
You swallow hard and nearly choke, he doesn’t let off but pounds even harder.
'Ah! S-sh..’
'Quiet!’ He roars as he breathes heavily with his thrusts.
You are well and truly squished against the glass, so hard and cold.
Shu was close now, but you noticed your eye sight was dimming and your breath was no longer fogging the window. In fact, you struggled to breathe at all.
Even through this you felt your orgasam ring through your body and slump completely.
Shu grabs hold of your hips as he finally cums.
It takes a few moments for you to realise what had happened. But what shocked you was how much you actually enjoyed it.
You really were his lewd woman.

Me: oh no I made Theo into a douche Fratboy stereotype who’s all like its a privilege to drive my car

My exhausted mind in the voice of an incredibly sarcastic Stiles: wasn’t he already?

Me: no Theo’s a sweetie.

My exhausted mind in the voice of an incredibly sarcastic Stiles:  I don’t know what to do with your right now…

I think my role is to shut up and listen. A lot of white people should shut up and listen. They really don’t know what the African-American experience truly is. When you have people getting shot in their cars for no reason and being put in fucking jail cells and it’s for profit, we have a serious problem, and the first thing you need to do is get educated. Don’t try to do this, like, ‘Blue lives matter.’ Don’t try to do the 'All lives matter.’ Just shut up and listen to the experience. And then move forward after that.

Hello! If you're still doing the five sentence thing...(Dramione) "I know you still hate me Granger, but I won't give up."

“I know you still hate me, Granger, but I won’t give up.”

Pansy continued to stir her potion and glared at Draco through the light blue steam, asking, “That’s it? That’s the best you can do?”

Throwing his hands in the air, Draco spun and flopped unceremoniously onto Pansy’s bed. The room was empty, thankfully, except for the soft bubbling of the potion Pansy said was a hair conditioner or something, he hadn’t been paying attention to be honest. Parchment crinkled in his hand as he crushed his latest attempt at speech notes to reconcile enough with Gryffndor’s Princess to make living in the Head’s Dorm bearable.

“Then what should I do?” he whined, crushing her pillow over his face.

“Stop touching my things, first of all, and then just go start with I’m sorry.”

Send me a ship and a sentence and I’ll write the next five

thestarmaker-s replied to your post: Okay, but can we all just appreciate that Izuku,…

That’s exactly what I was thinking on this chapter!! Even if mirio did become his successor, izuku was the best fucking stubborn person that made him want to live!! It so beautiful

Exactly! That’s what people like Nighteye don’t see yet - Izuku may not be the best successor when it comes to experience, strength, or having a quirk beforehand - but he inspires All Might to live. He makes All Might move, makes him fight, makes him want to be there and give it his all to see the future.

And that’s why Izuku is the best possible successor because, damn, quirk or experience or not - Izuku unknowingly save All Might’s life more than once and that since the beginning. He saved the pillar of society and probably the most genuine person in this series and if that’s not what a hero should do, then I don’t know, honestly.
