It’s been three months since Barry had changed the timeline and created what he calls now, ‘Flashpoint’. He was heartbroken with what had happened between you and him, but he thought about what to do to fix it. And he was nervous but excited all the same.

“Good morning, Mom! Hey, Dad,” Barry greeted them as he ran down the stairs. He still couldn’t get over the fact that his parents were still alive and well with him.

“Hey, honey. How’d you sleep?” his mom asked him, sipping her coffee.

“Fine,” he replied with a smile. “I’m gonna go on ahead to work. I’ll see you guys later?”

“Bud, you haven’t even had breakfast yet,” his dad said as he came into the dining room with a plate full of pancakes.

Barry took one in his mouth to prove his dad wrong before hugging his parents good-bye.

“I’ll see you guys later!” he yelled with his mouth full before rushing out the door to S.T.A.R. Labs.

On the way there, he thought about what he was going to do to finally give him the perfect life that he wanted. Needed.

He was going to tell you the truth.

When you two kissed, he could feel that something changed in you. Almost as if you recognized his kiss. That’s what has been keeping Barry smiling everyday because even though you weren’t his, there was a potential chance that you could come back. He was going to tell you the truth today, and if it all goes according to plan, he can go to sleep tonight with you by his side.

Barry walked into the Cortex to find Caitlin, Cisco, and Harrison in the room talking among themselves.

“Hey, guys,” Barry said walking in.

“Oh, Barry! Good, you’re here,” Cisco started, beginning to type something up on his computer.

“Do you have something for me now? Because I had something-uh-small to take care of,” Barry stuttered, knowing that if he said he was going to talk to you again, they’d think he was being weird once again. Barry had gotten the jist of what his Flashpoint life was like, and here, you were taken.

“Then it can wait,” Cisco said gesturing him to come closer. “Oliver actually sent out a call a few minutes before you came. I was going to call you, but you’d already showed up.”

“Wait, Oliver? What does he need?” Barry asked, getting closer to get a look at the computer.

Cisco points at a picture shown on the computer. “They call him Prometheus. Oliver asked if he could use our help.” Cisco paused. “Well, not really asked. More like demand, but he demands everything so-”

Barry cut him off. “Yeah, yeah. Let me go there now! You now, Oliver’s really impatient and stuff. Talk to me through the ear comm. I’ll see you guys later,” he said in a rush.

This was his chance. He could finally tell you the truth. Barry knew you were going to believe him. Flashpoint or not, you were supposed to be with him, and that’s what he was going to convince you to realize.

A second later, the Flash suit along with the Flash himself disappeared, leaving the usual lightning and gust of wind in his tracks.

“He really needs to stop interrupting me,” Cisco mumbled as Caitlin chuckled softly.

Meanwhile, in Star City, Oliver and Diggle walked into the headquarters to announce the news to everyone. Felicity was typing away at the computers with Thea looking over her shoulder while you were sitting on a table talking to your boyfriend, Roy, who was standing in between your legs.

“Guys, so after talking about it with Diggle, we decided that we need help with Prometheus,” Oliver started. Everyone turned to look at him, you in the middle of laughing at a joke that Roy said.

“Barry’s coming to help us.”

“Oh, great!” Felicity beamed. “It’s been a while since we’ve seen our speedster.” Everyone was mostly excited to see Barry, even if it was for a bad reason. You were also excited to see your superhero friend, but a part of you felt nervous.

After that kiss between the two of you, something didn’t feel right. You don’t know what it was, but you couldn’t forget the feeling of his lips against yours. It’s as if they were familiar but not. It was the weirdest feeling and you couldn’t shake it off. Kind of like déjà vu. A very, very strong sense of déjà vu.

However, every time you thought about Barry, you felt horrible. You loved Roy for the past two years and you couldn’t believe that one kiss made you rethink your entire relationship. You had just begun to forget about Barry when Oliver suddenly wants to bring him back.

A frustrated groan brought you back to Earth. Roy had his head thrown back in annoyance which made you giggle slightly. You rubbed his shoulders.

“What?” you asked teasingly. He was still a little bit irritated about that kiss.

He glared at you playfully. “You know what,” Roy said, “that boy kissed my girl.”

A smirk was plastered on your face as you pulled Roy closer to you by his shirt collar. He was so damn hot when he got jealous. You brought your face closer to him, almost an inch away from his lips.

“I can give you more than a kiss,” you whispered, looking at his lips before making eye contact with his ocean blue eyes.

He bit his bottom lip as he looked at your mouth. Roy’s infamous smirk appeared on his face. “Hmm, I like the sound of that.”

You two were about to kiss when suddenly, Felicity yelled, breaking the two of you apart.

“Okay! Yeah, that’s enough, you horny little children,” she scolded as she pointed at you and Roy.

“Thanks, Felicity,” you said laughing. You pulled away slightly, but Roy kept you in place with his arms wrapped around your waist.

“Yeah, please. Go get a room if you have the need to make out,” Thea said with mock disgust. You looked over at your best girlfriend and flicked her off. She blew you an air kiss in response.

“Alright, guys. Seriously, Prometheus is a serious deal. He has caused a lot of trouble and is a danger,” Oliver stated as he stood behind Felicity in the middle of the room.

Diggle agreed. “So, if everyone could just get along for a few days,” he glanced at Roy, “then, it’ll all be good. Okay?” Everyone agreed in unison to Diggle’s request.

Just then, a gust of wind blew into the room with the streak of red and yellow lightning that could only indicate one thing. Barry was here.

“Hey, guys!” Barry greeted. He locked eyes with you and smiled. But it faltered when he saw who was with you. Roy was looking at the speedster with such a look that made Barry look away.

No worries,’ Barry thought as his heart raced. Y/N will believe me. She has to believe me.

“Barry! You made it,” Oliver said as he clapped Barry on the shoulder. “C’mon, Dig and I will fill you in.” As he pulled Barry away, he turned around slightly to look at you. You were looking at him with a soft smile, but besides that, your feelings towards him was masked.

However, unknowingly to anyone, your heart almost fell out of your chest. You thought that something was off about him, but now that he was here, you knew that something was different. Something changed and you weren’t sure if you wanted to know the answer.

“Alright, guys! Suit up,” Oliver ordered as he finished filing Barry in on Prometheus.

Everyone except you and Felicity began to get ready for the mission. You were a physical therapist who was friends with Thea in high school. That’s how you accidentally discovered the Arrow’s headquarters which led you to knowing the secret. From there, you were introduced to everyone, including Roy, and it was all history from there.

You were helping Roy with a knot in his back, massaging it. He had taken off his shirt which was helpful in the therapy and to your enjoyment.

Barry looked at you with jealously. He couldn’t stand this any longer. He had to tell you. As you cleaned up your supplies to ease Roy’s tenseness, Barry came up to you.

You looked up from your mess and smiled. “Hey, Barry. Did you need something?” you asked.

He smiled sadly. Barry had missed you so much. Everyday for the past three months, he’s missed you. The only thing he had was a picture in his wallet from his past life to look at. Barry missed your voice, your laugh, your touch. He missed you.

If his plan didn’t work, he didn’t know what he’d do.

“I…I need to talk to you, Y/N,” Barry said.

You scrunched your eyebrows. “Now? But, you’re about to leave,” you pointed out. He smiled at you.

“Yeah, yeah, I know. I just…I need, like, five minutes alone with you. Please,” he pleaded.

You opened your mouth to agree instinctively, but then you remembered what happened, no matter how right it felt.

“I don’t think that’s a good idea, Barry.”

Barry came around the table to stand next to you. No one was in the room except Felicity who was typing away at the computers. You were in the corner, and the shelves did a great job at concealing you from the rest of the room.

“Y/N,” Barry whispered, getting closer to you. “I know you felt something when we kissed. Don’t deny it.”

Your heart sped. “I-I don’t know what you want me to say, Bar,” you stuttered. He was very close and you didn’t know what to do. You knew you had to push him away, but not one ounce of your body had the power to do so.

“Say that you felt something. That you felt recognition. Like that kiss was perfect,” he said.

You looked up at him in shock. Your eyes meeting his green ones. “How-how’d you know that?” you asked.

He cupped your cheek softly in his red leather-clad hand and tilted your face toward his.

“I can make you feel it again,” he murmured. Slowly, Barry’s face started to come closer to yours.

Oh, this is so wrong. So, so, so wrong. Then, why? Why did it feel so fucking right? There were two voices in your head. One saying that this was wrong and one saying that it was so right. The latter being the slightly stronger one.

You were about to let the stronger voice win when suddenly Oliver called for Barry.

“Barry, where are you? We need to go now,” Oliver said dressed in his green arrow suit.

The moment was broken, but Barry smiled softly at you.

“I’ll explain everything later,” he said.

As Barry walked away, you were left really confused, but you knew just how selfish you acted. You were dating Roy. You loved Roy. And you were about to cheat on your amazing boyfriend with another guy, even if he was Barry. How horrible of a person were you?

Just then, Roy turned the corner to find you in the same place that Barry had left you. He kissed you lightly on the lips before hugging you. Guilt racked your entire body.

“I’ll see you later, okay?” he said as he kissed your neck.

You forced a smile and nodded. Roy pulled away to kiss you one more time before grabbing his arrows and following the rest of the team out the door. As you watched them leave, Barry glanced one more time over his shoulder, then flashed out of the room. The wind blew your hair in your face, but you barely noticed it.

All you could notice was how your heart wanted Roy, but you wanted Barry more.
