this is how i work out

i’m sorry but how the hell is tony stark selfish? the man flew a fucking missile into OUTER SPACE knowing that there was a chance he could die, but lived and ended up suffering from ptsd from it. also the man made his company stop selling weapons after seeing how dangerous they could be and seeing it in the arms of terrorists. let’s not also forget that he went after his mentor when he learned that he was dealing under the table. this is also the same man who tried to create ultron with the idea of helping the world when the avengers can’t (like oh idk when there’s some random ass alien invasion???). he also wanted accountability for his team, since they’ve destroyed manhattan, dropped a city, which resulted in MANY lives lost, also let’s not forget the incident in lagos, where people died. he also was most likely the one hooking up his team with nice gear, the same team where most of them turned their backs on him to help a guy who seemed more worried about the safety of one friend, which resulted in all their arrests when st//ve and the friend got out fine.

but tony stark is the selfish one of the group?

man so the group I dm sort of crashed and burned because I kept getting flustered and anxious. that said, I’m gonna start dming again eventually, and I’ve been inching along on a plot.

I wanted a means of re-using characters from sessions that ended/burned out/never started proper– mostly because it’s my fault that a lot of my friends characters went unused or underused– so the plot revolves around a guild of dimension-hopping heroes who recruit new members from across the multiverse. Teams in this guild consist of 3 (although maybe more if I expand my group) heroes, each representing the Coalition of Retribution Enactment, or the “CORE’s” core tenants. Those being revenge, prevention and recovery. In their own universe, they hunt down monsters and save people from tragedies as their heroic deeds in other universes have cursed their own to be proportionately unlucky. When they defeat a monster/villain, they drop “hero coins” which depict heroes of the multiverse, minted onto coins. These coins will have pictures of various PC’s from literally ANY other session. These coins can be tossed into the fountain (a huge whirlpool below the base of the CORE) at a rate of 3x to use it as a means of teleporting to a new dimension. There, they complete missions for inflated rewards, and are unable to return home until the task is finished. Only then will a portal back to their own world open.

The goals of the group is to uphold the tenants, intervene in tragedies because the innocents of the multiverse deserve better, and to get those coins. Collecting coins and depositing them into your team’s funds raises your rank on the leaderboards– This unlocks new items, better lodging, and secret spells!

The current leaderboard high score belongs to the “God Dang Gang”– who’s name i definitely am borrowing– Ft Maura, the half elf bard, Allay, the tiefling rogue/cleric, and Grott, the dragonborn ranger. They’re fuckin’ good at their jobs.

Now, there are some sinister things brewing in this universe. A greedy god has his eyes on the hero coins, whose magical properties have yet to be fully understood. A benevolent god grows annoyed that mortals are using his powers to skip across the multiverse on a whim. A powerful goddess’ followers believe that the actions of the CORE are disrupting fate.

Just little Antisepticeye and Darkiplier plot bunnies (okay, one giant plot bunny):

- Anti is the leader of a cult and Dark is his right-hand man. Watch from 4:00 to 4:30 on this video to get a sense of how I’d expect it to work.

- Anti needs attention from people to continue surviving. When people say his name, spread his image, and especially sacrifice themselves or others for him, it gives him energy and makes him stronger and unable. (”You all said my name. I am here now.”) The only way to get rid of him for good is for no one to acknowledge his existence.

- Dark thus helps Anti survive by helping to bring people close to him. And in turn, Anti makes damn sure to protect Dark at all costs. Some of the people they brainwash become bodyguards for Dark. Sometimes Dark simply impersonates Mark and infiltrates his friend group. And as a last resort, Dark can loop back time.

- Anti never shows up in person. He’s only ever seen in computers and other screened devices. No one can pinpoint exactly where he is, because his apparent location changes in an instant.

- Anti can see the world through Dark’s eyes. Like visual telepathy, if you will. This is his main method of gathering information about the outside world, since, you know, he never leaves his hiding hole.

- They have Jack and Mark held hostage, by the way.

y’know, what bugs me most about how they handled the james/kara breakup is that the writers wrote it in the same way they would some terrible mistake.

To put an example of,,,,, say, how the writers of Glee backpedalled HARD on Glee Club Teacher Will Shuester singing rap songs after the first season, and then acted as if it had been a terrible idea all along, after they had comitted to it  100%  (personally, I did not mind those rap covers, but that’s not here nor there lol).

and…….I just….don’t understand how they got this idea???? if you watch s1, sure, you could argue there wasnt romantic chemistry between Kara and James,

but you could say that of any ship! chesmistry is completetly subjective! Benoist and Brooks are good actors and they put their best into selling that particular endgame flagship.y type of romantic chemistry (imo, they succeeded, but again…subjective!).

And if it was due to fan/media backlash, normally that shouldn’t be enough for authors to completetly backtrack on what was a MAJOR plotpoint (the endgame romantic interest of the friggin title superhero!!),,,

It….typing all this, honestly, leads me to think their hearts weren’t set to it in the first place. They didn’t mind changing it because they didn’t believe in this relationship in the first place, and were only doing it at first because they wanted their GOOD JOB On That DIVERSITY, Jonny! :) Starry Stamp.

Like they were waiting all s1 for a jail out card out of writting an interracial ship.

While I understand that their personalities and portrayals are completely different… all I can think about right now is Gladio dressed as Gaston.

(tag rant as always)

Ravenclaw Headcanon

Ravenclaws are very happy that their dormitory is in a tower. Most of the windows can be climbed out of and they pull themselves onto the roof. They don’t do it like the Gryffindors do, for bravery, but for solitude. There is an unspoken rule that if a Ravenclaw sees another Ravenclaw on the roof, they don’t talk. On the roof or afterwards. It’s a safe space. Sometimes it’s where Ravenclaws be the teenagers they are and smoke, while sometimes it’s a peaceful place to just read. If a Ravenclaw is sitting on the roof crying, any other Ravenclaw, friend or not, will go and sit on the roof with them until they calm down. And another unspoken rule is that if someone sat on the roof and cried more than twice in a week, they have to talk to someone about it, a friend, a professor, or Madam Pomfrey. This is what once led a third year Ravenclaw to march a first year Gryffindor, who had somehow made his way on the roof of Ravenclaw Tower, to Professor McGonagall. He thought he was in trouble, but became very confused when he was simply asked how he felt.
