THE BREAKING POINT — Prometheus (Josh Segarra) goes to great lengths to break Oliver (Stephen Amell). Meanwhile, in the flashbacks, Anatoly (guest star David Nykl) becomes worried about Oliver’s increasingly violent tendencies, which come to a head in a brutal confrontation.

Promo stills

Cast from IMDB

But there an added tidbit on the Stunts list Note: it could be some mistake

So Ms Madison McLaughlin aka Evelyn aka Artemis is going to appear too. Even if she’s not listed on the cast. The fact is confirmed by Marc Guggenheim himself on his Twitter answering a fan who asks when Evelyn will be back he answers “Next week”, adding to that Madison was spotted in Vancouver around the time they were filming either 5x17 or 5x18, so it all fits.

They did the Teleplay for 3x21 “Al Sah-him”

They wrote 4x11 “A.W.O.L.”

I think I see a pattern here, they do dark, both Dark Oliver and Dark Felicity. They also seem to be the ones loving to torture both Oliver and Felicity (I am considering that Felicity was torturing herself in 4x11).

What we expect

After 5x16 promo that focused on things that turned out to be mostly irrelevant to the episode I’m a bit weary as to what is shown in the promo but I will take it at face value with a grain of salt.

There appears to be a clear divide between the stills and the promo. The stills are all from Flashbacks. It’s exciting to see Kovar back (should I say Dolph Lundgren back), the woman may be Taiana’s mother. She’s not listed on IMBD Cast so she could be someone else, but Taiana’s mother makes sense as Oliver is supposed to have come to Russia because of a promise he made to her (Did you forget? Don’t worry I almost did too).

Apart from this, it looks like Oliver in Flashbacks really is committing himself almost exclusively to The Hood (Kapiushon) and his violent ways, enough to worry Anatoly. And that should be alarming in itself as Anatoly is a violent man himself, he is a Bratva Captain after all.

I do not know if this is the episode where Oliver kills Kovar but from the Synopsis and the stills there’s going to be a serious fight between Oliver and Kovar/Kovar’s team. I’m hoping for epic. I’m hoping for an Anatoly surprised and worried about his friend tackling such a powerful foe.

Meanwhile the Promo is almost all about current time. Oliver is chained, being tortured by Prometheus. He still doesn’t know what Prometheus wants from him… or maybe he does and doesn’t believe it. Prometheus just wants Oliver to suffer it seems, but his game is not really about physical pain but rather psychological. Keeping Oliver in the dark, away from the world, with a mind weakened by torture, probably lack of sleep and you can create a all World of pain inside anyone’s brain. Maybe he really just wants Oliver be a Monster, just like Adrian himself? Maybe that’s it?

We know how CW and Arrow PR work, the episodes are more about what they don’t show on promos and stills than what they show. Let’s see a couple of things they don’t show in the promos and stills for 5x17:

- Team Arrow

Based on what I can foresee / venture a guess happening on this episode from all of the above I’m expecting:

- Team Arrow to be trying to find Oliver. Adrian is with Oliver dressed as DA which probably means he’s still doing his day job, giving the team some hope of being able to at least track him, while they wait on Felicity’s info. Sure Adrian will be expecting that to happen, he may even be using it to taunt Oliver; it will be fun to watch;

- Felicity Smoak doing a really bad, illegal, immoral, criminal thing for Helix to get information on Oliver. Information I’m guessing is at least known by Adrian that is going to be expecting the Team. The writers did Dark Felicity, I’m excited to know that they are the ones writing the Felicity drop into Darkness too, still…

- Artemis. There are two ways this could go, one good for Oliver the other bad. Being that Madison needs a stunt double I’m almost certain she will be fighting, either fighting the Team or fighting Prometheus. I’m hoping she’s somewhere where she watched the news and found out Prometheus is worse that The Hood, and comes to redeem herself by helping the Team. But that’s me going along with hope on something that could easily be the other way around, as far as we know she can even be Talia new student.

-Talia. Lexa is listed and she only gets listed when she does appear on the episode, so she will be there, question is when. She could appear on flashbacks or on present time. I’m thinking present time because she hasn’t show in Flashbacks for at least 2 episodes now but she could. In current time I know what I would like, I would like to see her walk into Helix. Felicity never met her, so if no one says her name Felicity won’t have a clue as to who she is and she could be there to watch Felicity take the last step into darkness, like Adrian is making Oliver return into his own darkness.

I’m hoping for a very interesting episode not only because of… well… you know… reasons.

but for the psychological warfare between Adrian and Oliver.

I know the torture is going to be bad, Oliver found his evil twin of sorts, but the acting is going to be epic.

Felicity is going to give the Team enough for them to save Oliver. Oh how I wish to see them hug when they finally get together again

but maybe we will get Oliver in the Hospital with EWR by his side, she’s still his girlfriend after all (humm… not vomiting as much as I was before, it’s probably the expectation of the door kicking EWR butt on her way out).

Felicity will know she’s in deep trouble. I wish she would talk to Oliver about it but I’m guessing she’s not. First and foremost she will care about the fact Oliver is alright, or at least, out of Prometheus clutches and torture; second she knows it will hurt him, she knows he will blame himself when it was her choice, she’s a grown woman (like she told Curtis) and she made a choice.

I’ll just be here…

Even if I do enjoy the view I don’t think I am ready for watching Oliver being tortured nor Felicity sacrificing herself. Plotwise it’s interesting, as an Arrow fan this is great, but my heart… oh my heart…

I know they will be okay but I’m guessing I was wrong for all this time, they pushed up the time scale, this episode seems to have all the makings of 3x21 (even the writers/teleplay writers), just like 5x16 ended up shadowing 3x20, with a great (even if muted) Olicity scene and Oliver being taken away from everyone leaving Felicity willing to risk everything to get him back.

If my reasoning is correct that may mean we will have a 3x23 earlier than 5x23 and that gives me hope

If you know me, you know I hate how sectuh V was described back in season one.  Look how much they all grew, look how much they all developed.  There’s so much more to KND than what’s on the surface.

In celebration of Halloween, I’ve compiled a list of horror films from several different sub-genres along with links to their respective IMDB pages. Please note that the films listed below may contain scenes that some find triggering, disturbing, or upsetting; if you have any concerns over a film’s content, I highly encourage you to research it prior to watching in order to make as informed a choice as possible.

PSYCHOLOGICAL HORROR: films that inspire fear and tension by creating an unsettling atmosphere.

FEMALE-CENTRIC FILMS: horror movies featuring women in starring roles outside of the “final girl” trope.

GRAPHIC HORROR: films containing depictions of extreme acts, like heavy violence, body horror, and gore. Not recommended for those offended or disturbed by explicit, potentially-upsetting media.

HORROR ANTHOLOGIES: also known as “portmanteau films”, these movies contain multiple short segments that are sometimes connected by a main plot.

THRILLERS: scary stories with a suspenseful plot.

MOVIE MONSTERS: horror films starring a variety of creatures, from vampires and werewolves to Lovecraft monsters and evil clowns.

HORROR CLASSICS: definitive movies from the pre-1970’s horror era.

SUPERNATURAL HORROR: all things paranormal, ghosts and ghouls.

OCCULT AND POSSESSION: movies with rituals, demons, and possessed souls.

ZOMBIES: a category encompassing everything from Romero’s undead to the living infected.

FOUND FOOTAGE: movies comprised of camera footage filmed by hapless characters.

ABC removed “The 100″ from her IMDB credits and some Cl/xa stan is saying it’s because (this is a direct quote btw):

“ Why young women actors shy away from this attention from an enthusiastic gay fanbase, I will tribute to the culture foisted on us by the man cis-driven plots and stories throughout tv and movies.”

Or maybe she’s shying away from your fanbase because…you hacked her significant others phone, exposed personal private information and thoroughly embarrassed her?

Or maybe because…a large portion of your fandom sends lots of racist hate to people she actually knows and is friends with (Bob, Chris, Jarod).

Or maybe because you flood her other shows with “Lxa Deserved Better.”

Or because you deface property in her name.

Or because you only recognize her as L/xa and not for any of her other work.

Do we know the names of the kids in Logan? I’m trying to find out from imdb cast list things, but I am failing… I will make up names if I have to, but I’d like to know what they were supposed to be named

Beth Schwartz & Sarah Tarkoff

They never co-wrote episodes together. So let’s take a look at one at the time

Beth Schwartz

This is a long list: 1x08  “Vendetta”; 1x13  “Betrayal”; 1x15  “Dodger”; 1x20  “Home Invasion”; 2x02  “Identity”; 2x06  “Keep Your Enemies Closer”; 2x11  “Blind Spot”; 2x14  “Time of Death”; 2x20  “Seeing Red”; 3x03  “Corto Maltese”; 3x07  “Draw Back Your Bow”; 3x12 “Uprising”; 3x16 “The Offer”; 3x21  “Al Sah-him” (Story by); 4x01  “Green Arrow” (Story by); 4x06  “Lost Souls”; 4x12  “Unchained”; 4x19  “Canary Cry”; 5x02  “The Recruits”; 5x09  “What We Leave Behind”;

Really Beth, 3x21 was YOUR Story? Really?

Sarah Tarkoff

Cowrote 4x10  “Blood Debts”; 5x05  “Human Target”; 5x11  "Second Chances”.

The list is a bit all over the place but, it’s Beth Schwartz, so no surprises there. Nice episodes not much Olicity but not anti neither.

What we expect

The stills give me a two story vibe like I never saw before on the show but, at the sametime, I can’t help but feel that Oliver and Felicity are stepping on the same path.

Oliver steps into Talia’s mini-LoA (or is she rebuilding LoA?) lair, finds and talks to Talia; Felicity steps into Helix lair, finds and works with Alena.

The parallel is screaming at me. Maybe Oliver is reinitiating contact with Talia (the one that turned him into a monster) as Felicity is initiating contact with Alena (the one that “will” turn Felicity into a “monster”).

It’s important to remember that Talia never told Oliver she was Talia al-Ghul. Will Oliver find out on this episode? Maybe. The LoA vibe could be enough for him to at least suspect a connection exists. If this happens in this episode it will be Oliver’s shock #1

A seemingly forthcoming Talia tells Oliver that Prometheus calls himself Adrian Chase. Oliver’s shock #2

I believe Oliver will understand Adrian Chase has been playing him. But he won’t know the real extent of Adrian grand scheme.

It also strikes me odd that Talia says “calls himself Adrian Chase”. Can it be that he’s not really Adrian Chase?

Will Oliver confront Adrian? Will Adrian walk up to Oliver? Not sure, but they will face each other, masks off, for the first time, and Prometheus tells it straight: both him and Oliver are playing a game, and he’s 10 moves ahead of Oliver who doesn’t even know what game they are playing. I add that Oliver didn’t even know he was playing a game.

He also drops the fact he has taken Susan hostage.

Oliver’s reaction:

My reaction:

Paraphrasing a Reedit guy (fanboys do understand current Oliver better than I do) Oliver has been “gaga” over Susan for weeks/months, having her in this situation because of him will make Oliver’s head spin and, taking GA attire (even with all the ACU and SCPD after him), he goes out to find her. That’s what I see from the promo. No matter how I feel as an Oliciter I do understand Oliver has to go after Susan, not only because she is his GF (Oh God… help me… I’m feeling sick) but, more importantly, he’s the hero.

Meanwhile, under Oliver’s radar, Felicity is getting entangled with Helix. Helix she sees as something that helps, a group of people like her.

I don’t know how this is going to play out exactly but I wish that the help Felicity asks Helix and that they use to push her on to do something for them in exchange, is Susan related (read Oliver related).

My hopes in all this are not very high. I do think this episode is pivotal on setting up the rest of the Season:

- Oliver finally finds out who his opponent is. Trouble is the opponent has him in deep trouble already

- Felicity takes on her dark path

- Susan is in trouble.  Prometheus has her all tied up but I don’t think things are as violent as they seem as Josh Segarra stated there’s going to be some kind of relationship developing and EWR will feel betrayed by Oliver (probably a hint to EWR going to align herself with Prometheus)

- I think Diggle with the rest of the Team will to busy out with Oliver getting EWR and protecting GA from ACU and SCPD. He will probably be too busy to notice Felicity working with Helix.

- A guy on Reedit posted that we will find out in this episode that Felicity joined Helix because of Oliver. Pretty much everything they show us on the show is Oliver/Arrow related, it’s his story. Granted they do a backstory on every character on the Team but Felicity already had hers, every thing they show from Felicity will connect to Oliver one way or the other. So this, for me is no spoiler, besides it really doesn’t tell us anything, did she join Helix to keep away from Oliver? Did she joined Helix to help Oliver? Did she join Helix to protect herself from Oliver? It’s just “joining Helix because of Oliver” which really doesn’t tell us anything. The fact it’s a Reedit guy and that he was unhappy about it makes me think she joins to help Oliver, but this is just a theory not more than that.

- Lexa on interview said Talia is going to ask something of Oliver (something different from what she asked in the past). I’m hoping we can get both Oliver and Felicity in a situation where the ones that made / are making them “monsters” will ask something that they won’t want to do. That would be “walking in the same steps” in present time. Maybe they would decide to deal with it together

- I’m totally prepared for Prometheus to take EWR mask off. Her all act needs to stop, Oliver needs to see who is the real EWR. Telling him is not enough, clearly he needs to see it.

Sidenote: How is it Stephen can’t see that? He’s no troll, why can’t he see that? What did the writers do that isn’t translating on the show?

SideSideNote: See Oliver, wouldn’t it be much better if EWR had just lost her job and cut all ties to you? Maybe she would be safe now.

- I’m totally unprepared for Oliver to be okay with Felicity joining Helix, but I’m guessing he will. They told us Oliver wouldn’t react as we expect, I’m guessing he’s going to be okay with it.
