i think the reason for dany’s “blank” reaction to viserion dying was because she never really thought any harm would come to them. like why would she? she’s seen drogon get hurt like twice already and he is fine. she had no reason to believe the white walkers had anything to harm her dragons. her looking there “emotionless” is just her being in shock that one of her “invincible” dragons died. it’s a huge shock for her, of course she froze up.
Time Loop, Case Fic, Comedy, Spoiler Free. Completed. Rated: G. Word Count: 18072
Pairings: Kageyama ‘Mob’ Shigeo & Reigen Arataka
Trigger Warnings: Panic Attack
“It’s like Reigen’s been waiting for the question. He stops dead on the pavement, grips Mob by the shoulders, and stares down into his eyes with an expression as haunted as though every ghost the pair of them has ever exorcised has taken up residence behind it. “Mob,” he says. “Mob,” he says again. Look at me and tell me. Tell me truthfully. Do I look cursed to you?”
Mob looks at him, and tells him truthfully. “No.”
“Well, you didn’t look very long,” says Reigen. “Let’s just stand here for a moment, like so, and you can have another look, a nice long look, and really think about it…”
(There’s nothing strange about being called back to exorcise the same haunted photocopier six days in a row. It must just be a very haunted photocopier.)”
I’m honestly shocked we haven’t recced this already.
Lockwood looks up from his gossip magazine as Lucy shifts,
dropping her sketchbook in favor of reaching up to grab the hand at the end of
the arm he’s currently got curled loosely around her shoulders.
In the months since the fall of Fittes House, they’ve taken
to sitting together in the library on their rare evenings off.
Sometimes they lose themselves and hours in conversation,
talking about work, about themselves and each other, about dreams, fears, and
secrets, each trying to feed the insatiable desire to know the other as perfectly as possible. Sometimes they sit in silence, each
occupied by their own diversions, content to simply be close. It doesn’t really
matter what they end up doing while together; it’s not so much the activity
itself as the company that is important to them.
Sometimes George joins them, when he isn’t distracted by his
research or out with Flo. There’s a comfortable familiarity to those nights, reminiscent
of the early days of Lockwood and Co, but without the slight awkwardness that
comes with not knowing your companions very well. They talk, they laugh, they
tease, all while enjoying whatever delicious and unhealthy treat George has
procured that day. Those nights, Lockwood and Lucy do a pretty good job of
keeping to themselves.
When George doesn’t show, things tend to get a little cozier.
You know what I think is the Discworld books’ greatest draw?
Even more than the razor-sharp satire, amazing worldbuilding, memorable cast, and heartfelt and sincere writing?
It’s that I have never, ever, finished a Discworld book, looked at a character, and thought: “You deserved better.”
This has never happened. I’ve read 39 out of 41 of these books and not once has Terry Pratchett betrayed the readers’ trust by doing any of his characters dirty.
So, yeah, if anyone is in a mood for some high quality fantasy/satire/social commentary-type* literature, with the sure knowledge that everyone will get a compelling resolution, this is the place to go.
ok but consider: Finding Dory is literally about a bunch of disabled characters and thats p cool?? like
Dory herself is clearly neurodivergent in some way (apparently she doesn’t technically have amnesia because the symptoms are a little different, but still) and the film literally focuses on how she’s able to succeed without letting her disability hinder her. it’s not like it’s cured or anything, it’s just that she finds ways to work around it, and everyone accepts that it’s just a part of who she is
there’s also a really cute blind whale shark and an amputee octopus/septopus and they are all friends. and i think that’s very nice.
tbh Isayama is killing it with putting Reiner’s backstory this late into the manga. We all know this is either the final arc or leading to it; And depending on if Mystery Man is Eren, it’s very possible there will not be a “Back to Paradise” Arc. And with how Reiner is being presented it’s highly likely that Reiner will die someone who doesn’t know who he should fight for.
So this is a massive compilation of every single scrap of evidence I can find for Jonsa. You’ve probably heard some of these before. I just wanted to put them all in one place and explain my theory for how I think it will happen. I’m spoiler free (somehow) so all of these are completely theories. I, like the ill-informed King in the North, know nothing.
So, let’s start out by addressing the dragon in the room.
So there is this TV Show:Lucifer.
And I don’t know if it just geht’s not much attention or if I don’t look in the right places but here is a appreciation post about it. Because it’s great. And it’s funny. And the main character is the devil. AMD the devil is played by Tom Ellis what means that the devil is hot af (pun intendet) in this TV show.
Here are a few reasons why I like this Show. And why you should watch It! And why it should definetly get more attention.
Btw I started watching season 2 right after midnight on August.11th (it was available on Amazon Prime on this date) and finished it in one Day. You could say I binge watched the hell out of it(pun intendet!).
Oh and this list is not completely spoiler free, so be careful if u don’t like spoilers.
-Again the main character is the devil played by Tom Ellis. The devils Name is Lucifer Morningstar.
-Lucifer is funny af.
-Lucifer is bi.
What I love about this the most is how casually it’s treated. It’s no big deal and thats great. Because most TV Shows make such a huge deal out of queernes so I love how good it’s handeled in Lucifer.
-Mazikeen, a demon who helped Lucifer to escape from hell (SPOILER: and cut his wings off) and is also kinda his Best friend, is pan. And again I love how the TV Show handeled it.
-Mazikeen has such a great character development. She goes from not caring at all to the best friend of a human charcter of the show.
-Lucifer falls in love with a detective.
-The build up for Lucifer and Chloe Decker (the detective) is really well done.
-Lucifer discovers that he is changing, whats scaring the hell out of him(pun intendet). But he shares his feelings with a psychologist.
-In the sessions with the psychologist we (the viewers) get to know how Lucifer feels.
-Lucifer copes anything bad that happens to him with humor and jokes.
-The show is about a crime solving devil in L.A.
-Lucifer owns a Club.
-The show, Shows another view of the devil. In the Tv-show he is shown as, misunderstood, someone who just wamts to be koved and appreciated. He still loves to punish people, but he escaped hell because he was sick of this lifestile. So he helps the police with solving murders.
-Lucifers character development is fucking great.
-The show is not just a crime show, like the plenty others that are out there (and I’m not saying that they are bad, I’m just saying that it’s different and therefore special).
-there are plenty more reasoms to watch this Show. So just watch it and find out for urself why I love it so much.
-If anyone of you has watched it, pls message me I need someone to talk aboit it!
Completely spoiler free but I finished ACOWAR and are you as sad as I am that this arc is over? My world is a bleak bleak thing.
Nah, I’m not sad, I genuinely just loved the ending, thought it was beautiful and a sure fire way to ruin something good is to drag it out. Added to the fact that I’m so excited about the stand alone novels and novellas, I actually don’t mind that much
i’m seeing a lot of reactions and speculation immediately assuming that if Rey and Kylo Ren “join forces” it will mean Rey turning to the dark side. and i’m just like … this road goes two ways. anyone considering that maybe he’s joining the light side and not the other way around?
i feel like a lot of reylos must understand my struggle, but it is a little bewildering to watch people suddenly considering a reylo connection for the first time and missing the mark completely.
Saw Beauty and the Beast, some spoiler free (unless you want to go in completely blind) comments about stuff I and a lot of other people worried about-
The dress- Everyone was worried about it. It looks ASTRONOMICALLY better in the film than in any of the promotional images or trailers (or in person, according to people who have seen it). Its still incredibly anachronistic and strange compared to the rest of the costumes in the film, but it doesn’t look cheap or poorly made at all.
LeFou being gay- is handled with a lot more tact than I anticipated, a credit to Josh Gad’s acting and some well-written adjustments to give depth to the character beyond “slapstick comic relief”. I’m still not thrilled by the fact that Disney’s first openly gay (and he is openly gay, to be clear!) character is a guy who’s name literally translates to “The Fool” but it was much better done that I thought it would be
The music- is phenomenal. Since there were additions to the film, but they chose not to use any of the Broadway show’s added music, I was worried. I shouldn’t have been. Alan Menken absolutely shines and Tim Rice lyrics are lovely additions to Howard Ashman already flawless works. I would argue many of the songs are better than the Broadway show’s. But even then, they pay homage to the Broadway with some absolutely gorgeous leitmotifs in the background from Broadway only songs that Alan Menken worked in to the instrumentals and it is breathtaking. As far as the singing, all of the actors did a great job. I’m sure there are musical theater folks who aren’t gonna love every single vocal moment (Emma Watson is great, but she is no Paige O’Hara), but there’s nothing there that detracts from the film or music in my opinion.
Added bonus- the film was actually racially diverse. Not “1997 Rogers and Hammerstein Cinderella” diverse, but there were actually multiple, non-white, named, speaking role, secondary characters (The dresser and the feather duster, the librarian who helps Belle) and a lot in the background of every ensemble number in the village. Nowhere near perfect but from the studio that usually goes the “bler bler bler only white people in european fairy tales we have to be historically accurate bleeeerrr” it was a refreshing surprise
OATHBRINGER IS COMING OUT!!! Starting Tuesday, August 22nd, Oathbringer chapters are going to start popping up on TOR every week. I’m going to be reading it, because I lack the requisite spine and testicular fortitude to wait until November.
So I’m at an impasse. Would you, my lovely followers, want this blog to be completely free of Oathbringer spoilers until November, or would you prefer if I just tagged every possible spoiler post with “#oathbringer spoilers” and let everyone tag-block at will?
Ok, I’m a babby-n00b fan (it’s been what, two weeks, three?), but I really frickin’ love the band The Dear Hunter and I want to gush about their music and I enjoy ranking things so…yeah, here’s me talking about my favorite songs from the Acts. (no major story spoilers)
Please feel free to completely ignore if you aren’t interested in my semi-coherent and less-than-sophisticated ramblings. X’D
