The Japanese version of the ending cutscene of Western Land in Mario Party 2 plays out differently from the international version. While in all other versions, the player character and Bowser shoot each other with corks that can be seen flying through the air, the projectiles in the Japanese version are too small to be visible, which implies that the characters are using conventional bullets instead. Ok so I’ve finally
gotten around to doing this highly requested post based off this post and I’m
sorry to all those who had been waiting for ages for it to come out but here it
How to Annotate a
Look I’m actually
doing the play Medea at the moment so this can be used for other texts apart
from novels too!
Like I’ve said before,
I know lots of people don’t want to taint their texts with writing and highlighting,
but to me, it is so so satisfying when I finish with a fully annotated book
with tabs flying out of every page and all that, plus it acts as a sweet
resource once it’s done.
((Hopefully by the
time you’ve gotten around to this level of annotating, you’ve read through your
text already and maybe even put down some initial thoughts in the margins.))
To put it simply, I
have three levels of coordination when it comes to annotating a novel: words,
tabs and sticky notes.
big chunks of text you can’t fit in the margins of your book, such as summaries
of characters, themes, etc
also get those big chunks of info to stand out from the rest of the novel
If you’re reading
a larger text with chapters, it’s quite handy to use big sticky notes to summarise
2. Tabs (and
these are the tabs I have sticking out of my book and they’re used for quick
references, where I can easily search up a type of quote quickly in the novel
without having to flip through every page.
of the tabs I use are the same colours as my highlighters, so it is easy to see
where the quote is and which tab it corresponds to.
the specific quote rather than leaving a tab there by itself, for future
reference when you need a specific quote, but if you’ve got a massive chunk
that is just too important to pick out a small quote, use a square bracket on
the inside margin. Smaller quotes are better.
Have a tab
for broad topics such as characters, themes, literary devices, plot developments,
context, etc. If you have more colours, you can always make your categories
more specific (for me, the character of Medea is separate to the rest of the
the main idea on the tab itself, a.k.a. the reason why I highlighted or tabbed
that quote there.
quotes to highlight depends on
What we go
through in class
written as an important quote in the text guide we are given/the internet
think is important. If you’re not sure, ask yourself WHY is that quote
important and if you can answer that, highlight it!!!
explanation of quotes is written on the actual pages, and often right under a
tab to elaborate.
using a thin pen as in 0.38 to really fit in as much as possible.
as well as tabbing is so so important, because you can highlight as much as you
want, but it really won’t mean anything until you’ve written down its
significance, and even if you have an amazing memory, this is vital ok. Even a
few words along the margin explaining the quote can mean the difference between
good writing and great writing in your upcoming essay.
What do I
actually write? If it’s a literary device, I’ll name it (e.g. Metaphor) and
explain its symbolism, or the author’s intention for putting that in. If it’s a
theme related quote, I’ll explain the message that the author is trying to
convey through that quote. If it’s a character related quote, I’ll explain how
that quote adds to their character, maybe finding contrasts, etc.
Supplies that I used
(pink, orange, yellow, blue, aqua; gotta get that colour coding)
- Pilot Frixion
Signo TSI (erasable like the frixion pen so that if I’m not too sure about what
I’ve written as an annotation, I can check with the teacher and erase if need
- A set of
1000 tabs in total, divided among pink, orange, yellow, green and blue
- Pastel square sticky notes
As an optional step, I
highly recommend making use of the back cover or spare pages in the book. I use
them for writing definitions of recurring words, good vocabulary to use in the
future when writing the essay and also character maps, explaining the
relationship between each character.
I hope you all find
((disclaimer: this is
just how I do it so don’t shank me pls))
So after staring at this gif for a good 10 minutes I was giggling at how spastic of a runner Stiles is until I realized he’s not being spastic. Lydia’s legs are too small to go as fast as his. HE KEEPS ABRUPTLY STOPPING SO SHE CAN CATCH UP. This is one of the cutest discoveries I’ve ever made. So yah, brb I gotta go jump off my roof.
Anonymous said: hii, could you possibly do a imagine where the reader is like really freaking shy, especially when jeff gives her hickies 😂 but then he like comfort her about it say that the reader doesn’t have to be shy? basically just a really sweet and loving jeff. thank you! 💓
your p.o.v ━
you were currently walking down the hall with one of your close friends, hannah baker. you were both quietly chatting about the long school day you had, both thanking god that it was friday.
as the both of you neared your locker, you saw your tall boyfriend jeff, leaning against it with a tired expression on his face.
“hi love,” he said, approaching you with open arms and a tired smile. you walked right into his strong arms, instantly wrapping your arms around the middle of his torso.
you were too short to reach his neck, even on your tiptoes. once you felt his arms wrap around you, he pulled you as close as possible against him mumbling a tired, “i love you.”
you grinned, pulling back a bit and tilting your head to gaze up at him. “i love you,” you whispered, biting your lower lip as both of your eyes stayed locked on each other.
“um, i should probably get going,” hannah laughed, making your eyes snap towards the brown haired girl, but you stayed in your position with jeff nonetheless.
“we still gonna go eat lunch tomorrow?” you asked, a small smile spreading across your plump lips. she nodded, “for sure, just text me when you wanna go.”
your eyes lit up, “absolutely,” you said, feeling jeff’s hands slowly make their way up and down the small of your back, rubbing you softly. you leaned your head down against his chest, still staring at hannah as she turned to leave.
“have fun you two!” she yelled, making her way out of the school. it was truly a blessing that there wasn’t a lot of kids left in the halls, most of them leaving as soon as the bell rung.
“you need anything in your locker?” you heard jeff mumble, then you felt him lightly kiss the top of your head.
you nodded, “yeah, come on,” you said, feeling your chest tighten as you pulled out of his strong embrace. he grabbed your small hand in his rather large one, walking towards your locker with you right on his heel.
“you still have practice?” you questioned, knowing you would have to walk home alone.
jeff sighed, “yeah, we didn’t have practice on wednesday so coach is making us practice today.”
you pouted, “that sucks, i wanted you to come over,” you said, stopping right in front of your locker, then quickly focusing on opening it. you sucked at opening your locker, usually jeff or hannah doing it for you since you always messed up the combination.
you felt jeff’s eyes on you, watching you struggle, but you were determined to open it this time on your own.
it took you a good three tries, before finally hearing the lock click as you swung your locker door open. “finally!” you huffed, rolling your eyes. you heard jeff’s deep chuckle, making your eyes snap up towards the jock. “what?” you asked, your eyebrows furrowing in question.
he shook his head, “nothing, nothing. you’re just so adorable,” he said softly, giving you a toothy smile. you blushed, turning your head back towards your locker and getting the book you would need to do your homework over the weekend.
“you’re handsome,” you spoke softly, almost mumbling. you were always shy around jeff, but he didn’t mind. in fact, that was one of his favorite things about you, besides your laugh. your little laugh drove him insane, always making him laugh with you even if nothing was funny.
you tensed up slightly, feeling your boyfriend move behind you and wrap his arms around your waist. jeff leaned down, placing a small, but gentle kiss against your sweet spot. you ran your tongue over your lips, tilting your head to the side, your eyes fluttering close.
“i’m going to be so late to practice,” he breathed against your neck, but as soon as the words left his mouth, he started harshly sucking on your sweet spot.
your eyes snapped open, before you relaxed your entire body, causing your full body weight to lean against jeff.
a soft, little moan escaped your wet lips, jeff’s arms traveling to your stomach, lifting up your shirt and gently letting his fingers stroke over your stomach.
this instantly caused you to release a small giggle, your body squirming against him. he laughed too, giving your neck a final kiss before pulling away, as if nothing ever happened.
you looked around nervously, not seeing anyone besides you and jeff, which you were thankful for.
you turned to look back at your boyfriend, noticing his eyes already on you with a small, cheeky smirk on his lips.
you avoided eye contact with him, feeling your face heat up. “you shouldn’t have done that,” you huffed, trying your hardest to look annoyed.
jeff laughed loudly, his laugh echoing throughout the hallway. “you’re so stubborn love,” jeff teased, while looking down at you with twinkling blue eyes.
you glared at him, “how am i stubborn?”
“well,” he started, “the fact that you’re so stubborn about me giving you a hickey because of your supposed ‘shyness’ for people seeing it makes you stubborn,” he stated, his tone sounding smart.
you felt yourself tense, a small frown appearing on your face. you couldn’t hold it in, you started rambling uncontrollably. “look, jeff, it’s not that i don’t want you to give me hickeys, it’s just that i don’t want people seeing it and then later on thinking all we do is-”
jeff suddenly cut you off, his lips pressed roughly against yours. you kissed him back, putting as much passion into the kiss. you felt jeff’s tongue swipe across your bottom lip, almost begging to invade your sweet, little mouth.
you opened your mouth slightly, both of your tongues swirling around one another’s, searching each other’s mouths. you moaned, letting the thick textbook that you had in your hand drop to the floor, making a loud sound as the book hit the floor.
you jumped, gasping as jeff pulled away, his eyes swimming with lust and most importantly, love.
“you don’t have to worry about anyone else’s opinions,” he whispered, his lips wet with your saliva. “it’s just you and me baby,” he continued, staring you dead in the eyes.
your heart melted, a small smile spreading across your lips. “i love you,” you whispered, your hands making their way up his chest, then moving towards his shoulders, gripping them tightly.
jeff smiled, “i love you most.”

According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way that a boomkin should be able to fly. Its wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground. The boomkin, of course, flies anyways. Because boomkins don’t care what humans think is impossible.
hey everyone!!! Yesterday I’ve reached to 1.2k followers on my blog, so I decided that before I have to go on my trip I will do a quick follow forever. I’m grateful for everyone who decided to follow me despite the fact I have been on hiatus for so long and I haven’t been posting too much content. thank you very very much!
I love all of your blogs very much and I hope you feel the same! also, if anyone thinks I’ve forgotten them I most likely just accidentally didn’t write your name since I’m in a hurry because of the flight. ;; sorry ahead of time!
Newt Scamander was an absolute work of art, and simply studying his features helped you relax, so you did. He sat at the polished oak table, his right leg shaking as he focused, his honey colored locks sprawled across his forehead. When he focused, these little crinkles appeared from the furrow of his eyebrows, and he would chew his lower lip whilst deep in thought. A golden beam of sunlight twinkled across his button nose, rosy cheeks, and brilliant blue-green eyes. He reached for his steaming mug of tea, letting the curls of steam crawl over his face before taking a careful sip. Then his lips twitched ever so noticeably, and you could make out the little dimples of his curious smile.
“Why are you staring at me?” he asked, his head still bent into his leather notebook, his white feather quill tight in his hand.
You sat across the table from him, head in palm as you examined him, “because you’re very nice to stare at, Newt.”
This split his lips into a wide grin, and he gently set his quill down before giving his full attention to you. “I can’t focus when you’re devouring me with those eyes.”
You shrugged, giving a small grin, “you’re always staring at me, too.”
“Well, you see, with you - okay, but - you’re very, well-” New continuously tripped over his words as he fumbled to piece together his thoughts.
“Go on,” you encouraged, stretching your hand across the table.
Newt brought his eyes down, his hand coming up gently to rest in yours, his fingers intertwining with the most cautious ease. He strung his fingers between yours, his eyes looking over your hands for a good while.
“Newt, you’re doing it again,” you giggled, when he’d gotten distracted and removed his hand to draw patterns all over your palms.
“What? Oh, oh, yes, right,” he sighed, putting his hand back in yours. He looked back up, his cheeks flushing a soft pink. “Erm, well, you are the most fascinatingly charming girl I h-have ever had the pleasure of coming upon,” he began, his cheeks reddening at once. “So y-you see, when I study my creatures, I am always discovering more of their hidden wonders, as I am with you. Sometimes the sunlight will cross different crevices of your face, sometimes your eyes are darker than usual, sometimes a strand of hair falls loose, a-and sometimes you’re smile is so wonderfully mesmerizing that I must always…watch. I can’t miss a moment, you see, I have to study you until I know all you’re little quirks like the back of my hand.” Newts eyes had drifted onto a patch of table around halfway through, unable to hold your gaze.
You squeezed his hand really lightly to get his focus, “Newt.”
He released your hand and brought his own back down into his lap, shifting in his chair and looking very flustered when he looked back up at you.
“Newt, you’re too good to me,” you whispered, feeling ridiculous for wanting to cry.
“I’m just so lucky to have you, please know this,” he mumbled hurriedly.
You shook your head with a faint laugh, “what makes you think I have no reason to admire you?”
His jaw clenched a little, and you saw his face droop, “my love, there is nothing special to see.”
That physically pained you to hear.
“Newt!” you gasped, “Please, never say that again.”
He grew instantly worried, “Oh-I’m so sorry, please forgive me, I-”
“Shh,” you cut him off and stood up, heading around the table and taking a seat right beside him, turning your chair toward Newt. He half-heartedly turned to face you as well.
“Newt,” you smiled sadly, raising your palm up to graze his cheek. He twitched nervously under your touch, but you reassured him and rested your hand against his freckle dotted skin.
“Newt, you are the kindest and most amazing person ever, and I hate to see you doubting yourself like this. You are so special Newt, and I wish you could see yourself the way I do; as a sweet, loving, and most definitely heart stoppingly beautiful human being. Yes there are kind folks out there, yes there are gorgeous folks out there, but never have I found someone who is both as gorgeous and compassionate to the extent that you are, which is why I am so deeply in lo-”
You stopped short, realizing you had spoken too much and instantly freezing over. You had never exchanged the three magic words with Newt before, and suddenly it seemed nothing but terrifying.
Newts mouth opened, his skin warming beneath your fingertips, “What?”
“N-nothing,” you mumbled, dropping your hand nervously.
Newt grabbed your hand gently before it could fall, and took it in his own, bringing it right up to his chest. You could feel his steady heartbeat rapidly quickening beneath the fabric of his soft clothes.
“Do you feel that?” he gulped.
You nodded shyly, “Yeah?”
“That, (Y/N), is what one who is madly in love feels,” he smiled nervously. “This here, i-is physical proof of how I feel when I’m with you, and how it feels to be head over heels for y-you, my darling.”
You felt your own heartbeat falter before quickening, and Newt asked, “Do you love me too?”
He had said it so quietly that you almost missed it. His lips quivered, his slender fingers trembling as his face sunk into a state of absolute sadness and worry. You couldn’t even speak at the sight, so instead you brought his hand up to your own chest, and lay it against your heart. Newt stretched his fingers slowly across your front, his palm taking in the rapid and intense thrum of your heartbeat.
“You tell me,” you breathed quietly.
He brought his eyes from your heart to your painfully nervous gaze. Once again, his lips twitched and broke into that familiar smile. The sun sent flares across his warm features and illuminated his overjoyed expression.
“I would very much like to kiss you right now, if you would allow me,” he proposed shyly.
You couldn’t help but laugh, your smile stretching wide as you gave him a nod.
Newt pulled a stray hair of yours affectionately behind your ear before tracing down to your jawline and resting his hand beneath your chin. He gave you one last look before tilting his head in with a flutter of his eyelids. Your eyes closed at the moment where your lips made contact. It was only for the briefest of moments, but was plenty enough for you to feel intoxicated by the taste you were given. He was soft and gentle with you, as if you were a fragile piece, and his lips were full, warm, and tasted of delightful sugar sweet joy. You could feel his hand quivering beneath your chin, but you pushed your lips in a little deeper to show you were at ease with him. You felt a rolling crystal droplet trickle down from his eyes and down onto your lips, but the taste of salt in the kiss was one that you knew was from tears of joy. Newt’s timid lips twitched upwards against yours, and he pulled back a second later, forgetting to breathe for a moment. He gulped down the lump in his throat and took a deep breath in whilst opening his bluish green eyes again.
“T-that was-” he stuttered.
“Wonderful,” you smiled and bent forward, dropping a light peck against Newt’s nose. You brought your own head down to Newt’s chest, and burrowed into the crevice of his neck, where you breathed in the scent of flowers and, possibly, niffler. He brought his hand up to hold your head, his free arm coming around your waist and giving you a squeeze. You smiled against his skin and let your eyes come to a close.
Newt sat quietly, formulating sentences but only coming up with one, “I’m just… so lucky to have you,” he whispered again.
