Few weeks ago my bud, @squigglydigg made a keyframe animation, and I sorta fell in love with the concept of it. With her permission she let me inbetween, and clean the sucker up! Bendy just ain’t having a good time at all in this.
Hinata’s quirk is “Fly High”: he can jump up to 30 meters with ease! He’s able to scale some impressively tall buildings with just a few quick jumps, or leap his way ahead along the streets! In between leaps he truly looks like a bird mid-flight! He’s got to be careful though–having great jumping ability doesn’t mean he has great adhesive ability, and if he loses his grip he can take a pretty nasty tumble
(Hinata’s trademark is his incredible jumping skills, so what better quirk than one that enhances that ability further? I also thought it’d be nice to keep that human flight imagery that surrounds him, and also Fly High is one of my favorite Haikyuu anime openings!)
I’ve been thinking about this a lot. Oswald says it’s to remind himself never to make the mistake of letting love weaken him. That’s a great explanation for the whole popsicle!Ed thing but Oswald could have just brought Ed to the docks himself.
Why let him think he had the upper hand and another opportunity to kill Oswald? Was it simply to humiliate him by proving he could be outsmarted? Possibly.
I think there was one other reason for it though. This was Oswald’s version of Ed’s love test. In 3x14, Ed let’s Oswald think he has the opportunity to betray Ed to the trio so they can kill him. Ed’s reasoning for the test is that he wants to prove that Oswald’s love for him wasn’t real before killing him. I’ve always suspected that Ed did this because he thought it would be easier to get himself to kill Oswald after proving that his love was a lie and that he would sell him out to save himself. Oswald ends up proving him wrong, but Ed shoots him anyway.
I think it’s pretty obvious that Oswald is still in love with Ed in the finale. That being said, it must take a lot of willpower to freeze the man he loves. What’s one way to talk himself into going through with it? Prove that Ed would kill him again without hesitation. So he let’s Ed get free of his handcuffs, grab a gun, taunt him, bring him all the way back to the docks where he already “killed” him once. He waits for Ed to actually pull the trigger before revealing everything. Basically, Ed failed the test.
I really do believe that Oswald wouldn’t have been able to go through with it if he had any indication that Ed had regretted killing him. Or that he still cared about him but unfortunately he never found out about the drug use, hallucinations, etc (I’m still so bitter about that). So freezing Ed was the only thing Oswald could do instead of actually killing him. Otherwise, Ed would have continued to try and kill him.
It’s with great honour and gratitude to reach one thousand followers for my main/booklr/aesthetic blog. I’ve had this blog for almost a year, having that I accidentally deleted my old blog of 4 years. In the beginning, I was devastated that all my old personal blog that I’ve spent practically my whole high school life, was deleted and never retrievable but I with that, I took a deep breath, let go of that past, and started anew with this blog. A blog that I shared a specific passion in books, mythology and other aesthetics with. This blog changed everything. With it, I met a lot of new and amazing people with the same passion as me. I’ve found more books to read, shows to watch, inspirations for art and above all, friends to connect with. And with all that, I say thank you to the following whom I admire and give praise.
To Michelle aka @perxephne Without you, none of this would have happened. You’re the first book friend I’ve met before this blog! I credit you to helping me get into reading more, being with me through happy and hard times, and for becoming my first best internet buddy who I actually met! You’re such a kind, beautiful, sophisticated young soul. The kind you read in a Donna Tartt book. Thank you for sticking with me all this time and helping me blossom this blog to what it is.
To Diana aka @kazzriel I am so thankful that our paths crossed and I got to know you and connect with our love of A Court of Mist and Fury along with other books like AEITA and SOC. I first reached out to you cuz we had the same name lol and being fangirling best friends makes this blog worth while a lot of the time. I want to thank you once again and a million times more for the package of books you sent me! It’s just really cool to think we’re so far apart from each other yet we’re this close. I’m so ready to fangirl about ACOWAR with you!!!!
To my GF squad aka @dirtyhandsnet You girls changed this blog for me indefinitely. I never knew I could connect with such amazing friends and create a kind of sisterhood (or girlfriend hood?) with you girls. We connect with each other on such a high level that I don’t think most networks have. I’m so glad that I have such a supportive, caring group like you. Thank you and NMNF.
To Allie aka @alohomra You’re such a refreshing ray of sunshine when I met you in person! I think we could have talked for hours upon hours more than what we had back then. You’re a small piece of inspiration as to why I’m going into Digital Media Design here in MB. You’re so nice and bubbly and really cool! Thank you for the being there for me!
To Jem aka @lovesclub Thanks mom (we’ve been mutuals for the longest time and you helped me get on my feet as a booker) You’re way cooler than me.
To Simi aka @ninazcneik I think you were one of the first 10ish people to follow me and definitely the first mutual I’ve had. You always stick out to me. I always have admired your blog and it gives a smile to see you ask for a blograte and my notes (I’ll definitely pick up The Diviners just for you, don’t worry!). It makes me proud to be close to a blog that makes beautiful edits and is so #aesthetic. We’ve silently been stuck together since the beginning so I want to credit you in the growth of this blog too!
Even though she’s inactive at the moment I want to thank Jolly aka @rhyesand I’m so happy we started talking to each other! We’ve got more than a month’s worth of Snapchat streak and let’s never stop! You’re so cute and cool and smart and you helped me go broke with all the book buying but without it, I wouldn’t have gotten ACOWAR at 50% off?? Like wow! Thank you for being awesome!
To @mythologicalnet , vixensnet , and mermaidntw I want to thank these Networks for accepting me! It’s great honour to be part of your networks too!
For the rest, I’d love to thank the following people for their blogs that help me build this one.
A/N: This was requested by an anon! It’s based on the song Angel by The Weeknd! I hope you all enjoy this! I love you all so much! <3 <3
Lucifer picked your bloody body up from the floor, a frown etched onto his lips. How could you still be alive? You were much stronger than he thought. He knew this was because of him. They wanted to go after Lucifer, and instead of coming after him, they went after you.
He teleported to the bunker, knocking on the door. He knew this was the last place he should be, but he had no other options. He was thankful that Castiel decided to answer the door. At least Castiel was an angel and not a human. He could trust Castiel more than those cockroach humans.
“Lucifer what are you doing here,” Castiel asked, instantly on guard. His eyes quickly moved to you, worry washing over him. “Is that [Y/N]?” It was hard to tell because of all the blood and cuts on your body. He had heard talk of Lucifer finding a soul mate, but he didn’t actually believe it until now.
You lay sprawled across the couch at six in the evening, your hand loosely holding the heavy weight of your phone, which hadn’t buzzed for hours. It was your one year anniversary, and Ethan hadn’t so much as bothered to text you. You had drifted into an uneasy sleep when you heard pounding at the front door. Startled awake, you yawned wide and skipped over to the door, rubbing at your eyes as you pulled it open. Through your bleary vision you saw something red…roses?
“Hey, baby,” Ethan smiled brightly.
“E?!” you gasped, leaping into his open arms and burrowing your head into his shirt. Your legs came around his waist, his arms holding you tight as you sobbed into him, Ethan cooing softly and running his fingers through your hair.
“What are you doing here?” you whispered in astonishment as he placed you gingerly back on your feet.
“Surprising my beautiful girlfriend on our anniversary,” he said simply, brushing a thumb over your cheek and swiping off a tear.
“But, wh- I thought you forgot?! You didn’t talk to me the entire day, I-” you stumbled.
“Well, I didn’t want you to know what I was doing, it would’ve ruined it!” Ethan laughed, stepping through the door frame. He moved to the counter and set the roses gently down before turning to look you over.
You hadn’t moved.
“Awe,” Ethan whined, “Baby, I’m sorry. I didn’t realize you’d be so sad,” he said, extending his arms out for you.
You stepped numbly into his embrace, your head spinning.
“I can’t even begin to describe how awful today felt,” you whispered into the crook of Ethan’s neck. “I thought I did something wrong, I couldn’t figure it out, I thought you were thinking of leaving me…”
Ethan placed his cheek against your head, “I’m so sorry, (Y/N), I should’ve told y-”
Suddenly he stopped, his grip loosening momentarily.
“Ethan?” you said, pulling your head up and staring into his hazel eyes, which were fixated distinctly on something across the room.
“What did you do today?” he asked softly.
“I-why?” you said, taken aback.
“Just, tell me,” he murmured, his voice low.
“Um, I waited around for you to call this morning, and when I realized it wasn’t happening, a friend came over and spent a couple hours with me. I had to take my mind off, well, you,” you spoke truthfully.
“Did anyone else come?” Ethan asked, releasing you, and moving towards the couch.
“No? Why? Ethan, what’s going on?”
Ethan scooped low and spun around, holding out a men’s jacket, his jaw clenched in frustration.
“Want to tell me the truth this time?” he said, barely audibly.
Your cheeks flushed pink in embarrassment, “I did. Seriously Ethan, nothing happened.”
“Let me guess,” Ethan said, tossing the jacket down in disgust. “This ‘friend’ of yours came over when he heard we were having problems, that he came to ‘consolidate’ you.”
“Wha-yeah, but that was it, we ate food and watched TV, nothing else,” you said, starting to feel irritated.
Ethan made a move towards you, his hands coming flying to your wrists as he pulled your face close to his.
“God,” he muttered in frustration, his nostrils flaring in anger, “Don’t you see it?”
Your voice trembled as you shook your head pathetically, your grip on reality spinning as you drowned in his overpowering scent.
“I can’t leave you alone, not like this,” he growled softly.
“Ethan, please,” you begged, trying to pry his fingers off of you.
“You don’t understand,” he started, “what it’s going to be like for me when I leave now. The thought that some other guy is going to have his dirty hands all over my girlfriend, the thought of you letting him, the fact that I won’t be there to even stop it, it’s going to consume me, (Y/N).”
“Ethan,” you snapped suddenly, pulling his hands off your wrists, “are you hearing yourself right now?! This guy is just my friend, and even if he tried doing anything I would never let it happen! But the fact that you think I would…t-that hurts.” you said, taking a step back.
“I don’t know, (Y/N),” he sighed in exasperation, “I believe you now, but I’m going to be gone for months, which is more than enough time for someone else to see what I see in you and take advantage of the fact that you’re all alone!”
“You’re all alone.”
…You’re all alone
And you were.
You were all alone.
Your mouth fell open, your eyes brimming with salty tears as you shook your head in pain, your lower lip trembling. Ethan realized his mistake, but it was too late.
“(Y/N),” he begged softly, “I didn’t mean-”
“No,” you stopped him, “I get it, and you’re right. You wanted to go on tour with Grayson, and despite the fact that it meant my presence would be replaced with that of thousands of lovesick girls, I still supported you all the while. Because you see, I thought that if you could be apart from me, that I could make the sacrifice too. But you’re right…you have Grayson, & you’re fans, and I have nobody.”
“Baby, I’m sorry,” he gulped nervously, taking a step closer.
A crystal droplet rolling down your cheek, you extended your arm, preventing him from coming any closer, “Don’t.”
“Just, let me-” he begged, his dark locks falling over his forehead.
“We knew the risk we were taking when we decided to stay together despite the tour,” you said, your eyes fluttering closed. “You can’t even begin to imagine how much I hurt without you.”
“I know, (Y/N), believe me, I know. And you’ve been so brave, and so strong…” he replied.
“Have I, though?!” you cut him off, your eyes opening to meet Ethan’s somber gaze. “I break, a little bit more, every day. I cry myself to sleep, wishing you were next to me. I get anxious wondering how much better you are without me. But then I stop, and I remember how happy you are, and that is the only thing that’s been keeping me going. But it’s great to know that you think I would stoop low enough to turn on you after everything we’ve been through,” you gasped, your last few words coming out through a sob, the taste of your own tears prominent as they slipped between your lips.
Ethan took in a deep breath, his jaw clenched.
You looked him up and down, anger bubbling steadily in your chest.
“Tell me you trust me enough to walk out this door right now, knowing nothing bad will happen,” you hissed quietly, “and I’ll forgive you.”
Ethan’s chest shook softly as he opened his eyes, which were brimming with moisture. His skin glowed under the fluorescent lighting, his lips parted, “I-I want to…”
You shook your head, your arm dropping in defeat, “but you can’t.”
Ethan looked at you with such sadness that it took everything you had to utter your next words, “get out.”
He shook his head frantically, tears rolling down his cheeks, “no,” he pleaded.
“No,” he said with more force this time. “I’m not done.”
“Well I am,” you said, turning your back and walking away from him to hide your immense pain. “I’m done, Ethan.”
“Done with-” he began.
“Done with us,” you finished, holding back the tears that clawed for freedom behind your shut eyelids.
“Wha-” he said, taken aback, “No…no.”
You only shook your head.
“No, I-I can’t,” his voice cracked, his hands coming over his face, “please don’t do this, please don’t.”
“It was a mistake thinking we could do this. I didn’t want to let you go, so I held on to this alternate reality where we were happy, but I should have let go already…” you whispered. “It’s more than just a stupid jacket, Ethan. I’ve been holding you back from doing what you love.”
“No,” he said again, his hand on your shoulder, “please, j-just, talk to me.”
You turned around, your eyes opening, but you couldn’t bring yourself to look at him.
“E, if you care about me, you’ll leave,” you said, staring into the fabric of his tee.
“Look me in the eyes, and tell me you want me to go,” he murmured, his fingers brushing your loose hairs behind your ear. Just the touch of his fingers was enough for you to almost take it all back. You looked into his unblinking hazel eyes, which were inches from your own.
“I want you to go,” you said, your voice unwavering.
You could see his heart shattering into a million pieces, right in that moment.
He turned to move towards the door, and you had to face away to prevent yourself from stopping him. There was the sound of footsteps clacking on the wooden floor, and then the door slamming loudly shut. You raised your head, stunned to see Ethan still standing there.
“No,” he said bluntly, his sadness replaced by anger, “not until I get to talk.”
He advanced on you so quickly that you went stumbling back, your backside hitting the wall.
“I’m not giving up on us,” he growled, pulling close to you.
“This isn’t your choice to make-” you breathed.
He took a final step, his two hands making contact with the wall, his arms caging you in. You could feel his breath on your face, and your heart faltered, your head turning to avoid his eyes.
“You’re right,” he said, “it’s our choice. We’re supposed to figure this out together.”
“Nothing you say will be able to change the truth,” you whimpered, “this isn’t working. We keep trying to hold onto something that’s already gone.”
“DON’T SAY THAT,” he yelled his fists slamming so hard into the wall that you flinched and began crying again.
You turned to look at him through your bleary vision, “Ethan…”
“Why is it so easy for you to throw this all away?” he hissed, his nostrils flaring.
“Ethan,” you begged, your chest rattling.
“TELL ME,” he demanded, his eyes growing dark, his chest pressing into yours.
You gasped out for air, embracing the tears that came, “IT’S NOT,” you screamed. “I-it hurts…” You sunk to the floor, hitting the ground and burrowing your head between your knees, your cheeks wet. A silence hung in the air, broken only by the sound of your muffled cries.
You knew he was still there, you just knew it.
You blinked at Ethan, crouched in front of you, his lips bent downwards in sadness. He slowly raised the back of his hand to your cheek, his knuckles brushing lightly against your skin, the feeling causing your heart to miss a beat. His hand trailed upwards, his thumb brushing your tears quickly off before skimming across your face and tracing your features softly. Eventually, his thumb came to your lower lip, where he tugged ever so gently. You raised your eyes to his, hating yourself for how much control he had over you. He moved in slowly, his head tilting as his lips gently made contact with yours. A single tear trailed down his bronzed cheek and onto your lips. His right hand held your face firmly to his, his chest heaving softly as he held you like that, and all the time in the world would not have been enough for how long you wanted to stay in his hold. He pulled back a long moment later, his hand falling to his side, his head drooping in understandment.
“What was that?” you whispered.
You could feel him moving away, but you couldn’t bear to watch him leave your side. A moment later, his voice came, barely audibly, from across the room.
You were an oblivious person. You had always been one, and over the years you realized obliviousness could either be a curse or a blessing. For example, tasteless and inappropriate sex jokes would always fly over your head, and you considered yourself lucky where you didn’t have to visualize whatever disturbing image a certain joke created because you just… you didn’t get it. The one huge downside to being the most blissfully unaware person in the world was that sometimes, you just couldn’t take a hint. There could be a huge neon sign with the answer on it and you probably still wouldn’t understand.
“There’s nothing to be worried about. It’s just Harry.” You reminded yourself, chewing on your thumbnail nervously. How long had it been since you realized you maybe kinda sorta liked Harry in an ooh-la-la kind of way? The point was: You were tired of constantly daydreaming about Harry and not doing anything about it. Although you were aware of the nagging ‘Prepare yourself for disappointment’ message in the back of your head, your positive outlook on life pushed those thoughts away and now, here you were, standing in front of Harry with a nervous smile on your face.
“I don’t have a lotta time to talk but I guess I can make some time for you… Only because you’re my favourite.” Harry closed his notebook and pushed it aside, setting his pen on top of it before making space for you on the couch. See, this whole thing was already off to a good start! You grinned and plopped yourself down, going over your mini script in your head. You were over at his place because you were in the midst of helping him plan out his tour schedule (he always depended on you for that kind of stuff because he thought you were better than a professional) and you figured you might as well get it out in the air while you were here.
“I like you.” You blurted out, shifting yourself so you were facing more towards Harry. “And I have for a really long time, and I just wanted to let you know that because it wouldn’t be fair to you if I didn’t tell you about my feelings.” You cleared your throat, keeping nothing but positive thoughts in your mind. The smile slowly disappeared from Harry’s face, his eyes growing wide and his jaw dropping slightly.
“Y/N, uh…” Harry pressed his lips together, scooting back a little. “I think you’re a great person, and you’re such a great friend, you know tha’? A-And trust me, I’m flattered! I jus’, well, I’m not really looking for a… a relationship right now. I mean, Dunkirk’s coming out really soon, and I have to start planning for the tour - I’ve got a lot on my plate right now, you know how it is.” He reached up to scratch the back of his neck, looking over at you with somewhat of a pitiful smile. And this was the part where your stupid obliviousness kicked in. You interpreted the ‘you’re a great person/friend’ part as ‘hey, I like you too’, and the ‘I’m not really looking for a relationship right now’ part as ‘Give me a little time until I’m ready for us.’
“Oh, yeah! Well, that’s okay. You know I’m patient, so I can totally wait until you’re ready. I’m just glad we finally got our feelings off our chests cos I’ve liked you for a really long time.” You admitted shyly, chewing on your bottom lip. “I can give you time, though. Take as long as you-”
“Uh, okay, lemme try this again.” Harry cut you off, holding his hands out to tell you to be quiet for a second. “Y/N. You’re a huge part of my life. You’ve always been there for me, you’ve supported every choice I’ve made in my career, but I jus’… Well, like I said, relationships aren’t my priority at this point in my life and it’ll probably stay that way for a whil-”
“And like I said, I can wait! I know you’re super busy with all your famous person chores-”
“Y/N, you need to listen to what I’m telling you-”
“-but trust me, I can wait for us even if it takes-”
“There’s never going to be an us because I don’t like you like that!” Harry blurted out, letting out an exasperated sigh.
“You-” And that’s when it finally hit you. “O-oh.” You felt the heat creeping up your neck and to your cheeks, the humiliation of the situation settling in. You were under the impression Harry liked you back when in reality, he was trying to tell you that he definitely didn’t like you like that. Definitely not.
“Y/N, I’m sorr-” You jumped when you felt your phone buzz in your pocket, moving quickly to take it out and check whatever notification you had just received. You needed something, anything to get out of here as soon as possible.
“Shoot, I have to go pick up your custom suit from Gucci.” You lied, glancing down at the text you had just gotten from Y/F/N asking if your confession had gone well. You tried your best to ignore the uncomfortable clenching in your chest, but all it was was a constant reminder that ‘Wow, that was a hot mess’. “I, uh, I’ll see you later, okay?” You scrambled off the couch, nearly tripping over your feet as you headed for the front door. You didn’t look back once, swiftly slamming the door behind you and beelining right for the car.
There’s never going to be an us because I don’t like you like that.
Being oblivious sucked.
gif isn’t mine!

A/N: My loves, I may have another series on my hands. (Chapter One: Unexpected Reader) A series involving the first series, which will make much more sense later. I don’t know if this will be a hit or a total miss, but a girl’s gotta try it out. (I feel like us fan fic writers will appreciate this love story.) Anyhoo, enjoy! ❤️
Your fingers absentmindedly thrummed the tabletop as you murmured the last line you just wrote to yourself. “Across the room, Chris watched you intently with a small smile on his lips. He thought of approaching you, but wondered if you were the kind of girl that would appreciate or reject his boldness.” You chewed the inside of your cheek, your finger hovering over the backspace key on your MacBook. It seemed like yet another cliché, and though clichés were what you and your hopeless romantics readers loved- you wanted to expand yourself. You huffed and pressed the delete key, allowing your words to get chewed up by the blinking bar.
“Now what was wrong with that?” You flinched and tensed when you heard an oddly familiar male voice come from over your shoulder; he was so close to you that you would feel the warmth of his minty breath on your cheek. “Clichés are great.” He winced as he pulled back, knowing he’d gotten a little too close. “I mean- there’s a reason they’re overused, right?”
Now usually, you weren’t the kind of person who would snap at a stranger in an airport; you were too worried about the repercussions to do that. Usually, you’d just send a death defying glare their way and let your eyes do the talking; you’d been told you had a very intimidating face, which you no doubt got from your mom. But this was different, this was a stranger reading your writing without permission. You’d always been incredibly protective and defensive when it came to your writing and people peering at your screens- be it laptop, iPad, or iPhone. It was your biggest pet peeve; you hated having people stand behind you while you were on any of those said devices. It wasn’t like you had something to hide, you just didn’t like your privacy being invaded.
“Thanks for the input I didn’t ask for.” You bit as you abruptly closed the screen of your MacBook; you heard him chuckle softly. “Do you want to know what I think?” You quizzed rhetorically as you turned to shoot the nosy stranger your famous glare. “I think you should mind-” You cut yourself off when you saw who it was. “Oh my God,” you breathed, “you’re Chris Evans.”
Yes, Chris Evans. Christopher Robert Evans as in the talented actor and director; Captain America himself; the brown haired, blue eyed, Bostonian angel; the man you could only dream of marrying one day; and the one who accompanied your protagonist in all her life endeavors. Chris Evans was actually in front of you, and talking to you, and breathing the same air as you, and all you’d said to him so far was “thanks for the input I didn’t ask for” as well as “I think you should mind your own damn business.” Even though you didn’t get to finish your latter, it was still not the way you’d imagined your first meeting with your celebrity crush to go.
“Yes I am,” he walked to sit in the chair opposite you, “but don’t let that stop you.”
Chris was trying not to show too much amusement, but he couldn’t help his smile. You were exactly the kind of girl he liked- sassy, but clearly sweeter than honey. He’d seen you earlier, when you were both checking in. You were talking to the little boy in front of you; he was wearing glasses too big for his face, but between you and young Jasper- Chris found you cuter. He then spotted you again in the departure hall, talking to an airport security dog while its officer was searching someone else’s bag. He was about to approach you when the officer took the dog away and you’d walked off, pouting. He thought that was it, that he wouldn’t have the chance to talk to you again- you may have been on the same flight but you were sitting in different classes- but then, he came across you sitting in Starbucks. He spotted you in the window and decided it was time he got to actually meeting you, rather than admiring you from afar. So far, his decision to approach you had been one of his best.
“You think I should mind…” He trailed off, his beautiful blue eyes urging you to continue.
“Your own damn business,” you mumbled sheepishly as you cussed yourself out. It wasn’t until he laughed that you felt a little better, guessed he was as nice as everyone said he was. “I am so sorry. I’m not usually that rude, I just-” you swallowed when you saw his intent gaze on you. “I don’t like it when people look at my screen. I’m very protective of my writing and I don’t-”
“Don’t even worry about it,” he cut you off with one of his typical, heart thumping Chris Evans smile. “I’m not usually that nosy. It’s just that I heard you mumble my name and you were watching your screen so intently that I got curious as to what had your attention. Fan fiction is an interesting thing,” he commented with a soft chuckle.
“Oh God,” you blushed deeply. “It’s not- um- I don’t- you see-” you rambled and he laughed, placing a comforting hand over yours to soothe you. “I’m Y/N and I’m studying to be a screenwriter. I write fan fiction on Tumblr to put my work out there and get real people reviews,” you explained in a frazzled tone. “I’m so sorry, I don’t mean any disrespect.”
“Oh, I know. You don’t have to apologize,” he smiled again and your heart fluttered again. “I think writing about someone is the greatest form of flattery. So relax,” he gave your hand a quick pat then pulled away, “I’m very flattered.”
“No you’re not,” you breathed in disbelief.
“Yes I am,” he chuckled. “It’s interesting to see how others see me, even if my fans may be a little biased.” He winked at you with a click of his tongue and you thought you’d swoon right there and then. “It’s nice to know people think I’d make a good boyfriend, and husband, and father. It’s actually very reassuring,” he admitted with a sheepish smile. “I was starting to think I was the problem in my failed relationships.”
“You’re not serious,” you laughed and he smiled, appreciating how lovely you and your laughter was. “You’re like the perfect man. There is no way you were the problem in any of your failed relationships,” you said and suffered immediate regret, realizing you’d offended his exes. “Of course- I don’t mean any disrespect to anyone you’ve dated.” He laughed again, noting how cute you were when you panicked. “Jenny’s awesome, I loved her in Parks and Rec-”
“Hey,” he said and you stopped, holding your breath for some reason. “Breathe, Y/N.” He instructed and you did as he said. “I’m not going to bite your head off for speaking your piece. I know you don’t mean any harm with anything you say, so just- calm down, okay?” You nodded and he smiled. “I like hearing what you have to say, it’s very refreshing.”
“That’s very sweet of you to say,” you blushed again. “You know- I’ve only ever been called refreshing in my own stories.” You joked then laughed when he did. “Looks like someone is living up to that level of perfection us fan girls have created.”
“Oh, stop it.” He chuckled and waved his hand, feeling heat rise to his own cheeks. “Fan fic Chris might be perfect, but I don’t think I am.” He joked and you chuckled. “I mean- Fan fic Chris wouldn’t have read over your shoulder like that, he’d buy you a coffee first then politely ask what you were working on.”
“Hey, no one’s stopping you from doing that now.” You heard yourself flirt and you wanted to slap yourself in the face. What were you doing? This was Chris freaking Evans! He’d dated huge names, names that you couldn’t beat even in your best day. You needed to quit while you were ahead, you needed to just ask for a photo then leave him alone. You knew all that, yet the next words left your lips anyway, “I’m all for do-overs.”
“Aren’t I lucky?” He grinned which made you smile. “I’ll be right back then. You’re a…” He pointed at you as he rose to his feet, his tone and facials showed that he was trying to guess your drink so you didn’t offer any help. “Vanilla latte, kinda girl?” He quizzed and you felt your lips part in awe; how he guessed that was beyond both of you.
“Not bad, Mr. Evans.”
“Thank you,” he smiled, doing a small bow. “And call me Chris, ‘cause Mr. Evans is my dad and I’m not that old.” He joked and you nodded, chuckling. “Okay then, I’ll be right back. Oh-” he stopped and turned back, “just to make sure you don’t run off. Hold my phone, will you?”
“You want me to hold your phone for you?” You frowned when he nodded, smiling. “You do realize we just met, right?” He nodded. “And I’m a fan, like- a huge fan?” He nodded again. “Aren’t you worried I’ll go through your photos, or steal Sebastian Stan’s phone number?”
“Not really,” he shook his head. “I mean- I’ve got nothing to hide, and you don’t look like the kind of girl who would do that kind of thing anyway.” You bit back your smile; that was true. “As for stealing Seb’s number, well- I think he’d be lucky to have you in his life.”
“Okay, now that sounds like a line Fan fic Chris would say,” you teased him and he laughed. “Exactly how much fan fic do you read, Chris Evans?” You asked with a smug smirk, which turned into more of a shy smile when he winked. “Do you have a secret Tumblr account to keep track on all the writing we do about you?”
“I’m going to plead the fifth to that question.” He started towards the counter, glancing back at a giggling you as he did. “Don’t go anywhere, okay?” You nodded and he smiled as he told you, “I want to hear more about you and your writing.”
It’s been a while! I’m so sorry that I’ve been gone for so long - I know that there are plenty of peoples waiting for requests. Unfortunately, I’ve been totally stressed out with university work at the moment. I can’t guarantee that this is me coming back for good but I did want to upload something. Thank you to those of you who have stuck around despite the hiatus. This fic is absolutely my worst work. It’s been so long since I’ve written anything that the quality has just deteriorated. Plus, this was whipped up in about an hour. Too quick. Nonetheless, it’s something to read between revision for those of you who have deadlines rn. Thanks to @mel-in-my-head for the request, I’m sorry it deviated. Enjoy, my darlings!
Prompt[s]: can you do one where Peter Parker (CW) (if you don’t peter parker that is, if not Thor is fine) is really over protective of the reader like all the time, but the reader is 100% oblivious and one night the reader and him can’t sleep, so they go all movie marathon and they wake up to the avengers (and if you are doing peter,) aunt may finds them all cuddled up on the couch in the main room taking pics, and awing. sorry for this being long it’s my first request, I think, so yeah, thanks
“Is that…” You asked, holding up a hand. Peter looked up and
“Oh god, it is.”
You stared at him pointedly. “Run.”
Despite the hastiness with which you took off, you were
still sopping wet by the time you reached the apartment building. Peter slammed
the door shut behind you, panting. You doubled over breathlessly and laughed
giddily. When you stood up straight again, you ran a hand through your hair and
felt it completely drenched.
“Want to borrow a towel?” Peter laughed, holding out a hand in the direction of

*actually not so little in some cases :D
as always: please send fic recs whenever you like! I will read anything you recommend and decide whether it’ll be added to the list :)
btw - since this list has grown enormously, I will soon establish a system to mark my absolute faves, that I re-read all the time - and will make a post with those special fics. I’m gonna limit them to…idk, 20-ish?
Ok even though there were some downsides to the recent episode, we got this amazing kiss. The rushing in kisses have to be one of my favorites besides over the shoulder ones *cough cough* shadowhunters editors. But this was so cute because Alec just rushes in and is so hungry (i guess you could say) for Magnus. It’s really great and one of my favorites for malec so far.
So I’ve been sitting on this one for a while but thanks to @marveliskindacool and @imagine-that-marvel I’m feeling a lot better about uploading it. @lost-in-my-arms, sorry - I couldn’t follow the request explicitly but I hope the fic is still enjoyable nonetheless. Be brutal with your feedback - though you should know there is a part 2. Enjoy, my darlings!
Prompt[s]: the reader, who’s a new Avenger, has the same powers (and name, and costume, maybe) as Daredevil, being blind and all, knows when someone is lying; is great fighting (everyone) Pietro, since she can pinpoint where he is even when running. Cracks jokes about being blind all the time. This sort of stuff. Maybe something romantic with Bucky, or Pietro?
‘More Than Meets The Eye’
Pietro sighed. The coffee shop was buzzing. Perhaps in a novella
such an atmosphere would incite excitement. However, all Pietro wanted to do
was sit, rest his feet, and drink his coffee. You’d have thought it would be
Just as he was beginning to think that he might have to take
his drink elsewhere, he spotted an empty seat in the corner of the room, near a
partially empty table. In such a crowded room, using his speed never ended well
so he fought his way to the table patiently. It wouldn’t have bothered him so
much if he wasn’t wary of the fact that there would be other patrons searching
for a place to sit and this seemed to be the last available space.
Unfortunately, on account of his hopes being so high, they fell
all the harder when a well-built gentleman arrived, seemingly out of nowhere,
and fell into the chair. The polished wood groaned under the weight, and Pietro
groaned under his breath – or so he had thought. The man turned and met his
gaze with ferocity.
“You got a problem?” He asked, pulling out his newspaper and
unfolding it to make a point. This guy was not going anywhere. Before Pietro
could begin to speak, somebody appeared at his side and placed their hand in
the crook of his arm.
A/N: Oh look, a Castiel fic that I have all ready for all of you! I hope you like this! Feedback is welcomed and appreciated! I love you all so much!! <3
The wind blew through your hair as you sat on a bench in the park. It was delightfully breezy and not too cold. You had your earbuds in, listening to music as the wind tousled your hair softly. You dipped your head as a single tear escaped your eye. As the tear fell you felt a small rush of wind behind you. You figured it was just the wind so you had ignored it.
You almost fell of the bench startled at the sudden figure that sat down beside you. You had not seen him before. You almost got the knife that you had always carried in your pocket out, but you were suddenly wrapped in this man’s arms. You almost fought the strange man off, but you oddly felt safe. You wrapped your arms around him, resting your head on his chest. He had on a trench coat and a suit, but his tie wasn’t on right. You thought that it was odd, but you liked it oddly enough.
“Who are you,” you whispered thinking he wouldn’t hear you.
Y’ALL….. I’m utterly and completely astounded by the reception I’ve received since revamping last year. I joined the RPC five years ago around this time with a skeleton of a muse and no idea what I was doing. I’ve made some incredible friends along the way, friends that have shaped me as a person. You guys have kept me sane, made me smile, and been with me through some of the toughest moments in my life thus far. I adore each and every one of you. You are all so amazing and I can’t put into words how much you mean to me.

Saturday morning, Chris signed the papers releasing you and Jack from the hospital. You were both excited to bring Jack home for the first time, to introduce him to Dodger, and to take him around and familiarize him with where he was going to spend the next few years of his life. You and Chris hadn’t talked about moving to Boston since January, after that slight bout in the car. You were planning to bring it up again now that Jack was actually born; you had to because that was the home you wanted him to grow up in. But you’d decided you’d hold off on it until your son turned one, giving yourself a year; a year to gauge how overwhelming parenthood was going to be and whether or not you could handle it in a new environment miles away from your parents.
Speaking of your parents, they went back to your childhood home and invited Lisa to stay with them so you and Chris and the baby had some time to yourselves to settle in. They were coming back on Sunday, in the afternoon, to do the cooking so you and Chris didn’t have to. You were having a family get together so everyone could meet Jack, praying things wouldn’t be too overwhelming for your little boy. It had been expected that everyone was going to want to meet Jack as soon as possible because he was the son of Chris Evans; a man who had been wanting a child of his own for as long as anyone could remember. Hence why it came as no surprise to hear from his publicist that the birth of your son was already trending all over the internet.
You and Chris didn’t know how, but someone found out about Jack’s birth. That was the mysterious thing about the media, no matter how secretive you tried to be about something- they’d still find out. But you were lucky because that was all they found out, that Chris Evans and Y/N Y/L/N welcomed their first child. All the articles had no specifics because you and Chris had kept everything tightly sealed; there was no gender, or name, or possible hospital location- a huge relief. It was easier because Chris had been on hiatus, there was no chance for him to let any details slip in interviews. It was important for the both of you to keep him a secret for a while, protected from the eyes of the public. You knew you’d eventually have to introduce Jack to the world, but you wanted it to be on your terms. You hadn’t decided if you’d do what Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively did and bring your child into the eye of the public at an event, or do what Jensen Ackles and Danneel Harris did and post a picture on Instagram. You both decided you’d worry about that later and just focus on your little family for now.
Other than Sunday dinner, plans were made to FaceTime Sebastian and Ava- who had placed themselves on a no fly list until their boy was born- so they could meet their godson. You and Chris still laughed every time you thought about the reactions of those around you when you announced Sebastian and Ava were going to be Jack’s godparents. Both the brothers, Donovan and Scott were pretty offended whereas Carly and Shanna graciously accepted the decision. And of course, Robert and Anthony kicked up, saying they were “hurt to hear that we didn’t make the cut.” But despite all the fuss, everyone had seen that decision coming. Since Chris got together with you, and Sebastian got together with Ava- the four of you had been closer than ever; your friendship had become one of those friendships you saw on ‘How I Met Your Mother’ or ‘The Big Bang Theory’, ‘The Office’, or ‘Parks and Recreation’. You and Chris explained to Sebastian and Ava that even though you’d given them the title of godparents, chances were that your families would still take care of Jack if anything were to happen to you and Chris. The reason for giving them the title was so that they knew, and Jack knew they were still going to play a significant part in his life.
There were a few beings who were going to play a significant part in his life, a handsome furry fella was one of them. You’d been away from him since Friday morning and you missed him. You knew he was probably worried and waiting at the door, and that he was going to be so excited to see the two of you that he’d pounce as soon as he did. A pounce would’ve been welcomed if you weren’t holding a baby, but you were which was why Chris was going inside first. He was going to talk to Dodger and let him know that a baby was coming in with you, his brother that he had to be gentle with and protect. The two of you had decided to steal that scene from ‘Marley and Me’, introducing Dodger to Jack like Marley was introduced to Patrick.
Chris’ car pulled up in the driveway and he turned to look at you and Jack in the back seat. “You ready for this?” He asked and you nodded, carefully unbuckling Jack from the car seat and lifting him into your arms. “Give me about five minutes,” he told you then got out of the car.
Dodger heard the keys in the door and immediately jumped up, tail wagging excitedly like he knew who was behind the door. He pounced like Chris had expected him to when Chris walked into the house, jumping then attacking Chris’ face with licks when Chris descended to his knees in front of Dodger to give him a scratch and a hug.
“I missed you too, pal,” Chris chuckled. “Now sit,” he commanded and Dodger quickly as he was told. “We’ve got some things to talk about before our girl comes inside, okay?” Dodger tilted his head then nudged his nose into Chris’ hand. “Alright, bud. You know how it’d been me and you for quite a while before it became me, you, and Y/N? Do you remember how much you liked her when you first met her? How quickly you fell in-love with her?”
Chris paused, giving Dodger a chance to respond in his own way. He smiled when Dodger pawed his thigh, giving his face another lick. “Yeah, me too.” He responded with a chuckle, scratching Dodger’s head. “Well, now we’ve got another little guy joining our clan and I’m going to need you to do the same with him. But the difference here is you can’t pounce on him, or attack him with your sweet kisses. Not for a while anyway because he is very small, so I’m going to need you to be extra gentle.”
Dodger licked Chris again and Chris smiled at him, unable to believe how much he’d grown; he was no longer a puppy, even though you called him ‘puppy’ all the time. “Look pal, I know this is going to be another big change. I just want you to know it’s okay if you’re nervous ‘cause Y/N and I are too, we’re petrified. But you know what?” He scratched Dodger’s head, smiling. “We’re going to do this together, okay? We’re a team, as always. And I know you’re going to do great because you’re a sweet and gentle soul who wouldn’t hurt a fly.” Chris heard movement behind the door as the handle jiggled, “that’s them now. Gentle, okay?” He kissed Dodger’s forehead then caught his collar as he rose to his feet, turning to face the door.
Dodger saw you come through the door and rushed forward, only to be held back by Chris. He barked once then quieted down when you carefully descended to your knees, revealing Jack to him. Chris lowered himself to his knees too, one arm wrapped around Dodger’s body as he curiously eyed Jack. “This is your brother, Dodge. His name is Jack,” you told Dodger, smiling. “You can say hello, bud.” You said and Dodger took a step closer, sniffing Jack. “Look how good he is,” you told Chris, feeling your eyes well with tears at how gentle Dodger was being with his approach. You leaned over and kissed Dodger’s head, whispering, “you’re going to be best buds with him, aren’t you?” Chris patted Dodger’s side as the pup gently placed his paw on Jack, you shared a smile with Chris. “Yeah, definitely the best of buds.”
“But don’t you forget who your original best bud is,” Chris playfully warned him and you laughed as you rose to your feet. “I’m going to go get the rest of the stuff, you take it easy.” He told you and you nodded, making your way over to the couch with Dodger padding alongside you while he headed out to the car.
“Welcome home, sweetheart,” you kissed Jack’s forehead. His eyes looked around, curiously examining the place as Dodger had curiously examined him. He was so perfect, so worth all the pain and discomfort you’d endured over the last nine months. “This is where you’re going to spend the first few years of your life, or until your daddy allows us to move. He’s a little worried moving now will be too much for me, which I understand. I panicked a lot because of you, buddy,” you told him, chuckling. “But that’s not your fault, I’m just a chronic over thinker.”
Chris reentered the house and smiled when he saw you talking to Jack. He didn’t understand what you were so afraid of, you were so good with him. He lowered the bags onto the floor and walked over quietly, not wanting to pull your attention away from your son and ruin the moment. He leaned against the nearest wall and watched the two of you from a distance, chewing on his middle finger.
“You should see the house we have waiting for us in Boston, Jack Jack.” You told your son, smiling. “It is so beautiful and you are going to love it. Don’t get me wrong, this house is beautiful too and I know you’re going to love it here but- I think you’re going to love it more in Boston because that’s where Daddy grew up.” Chris smiled, lowering his hand to his side as he pushed his weight off the wall and onto his feet. “Your grandma Lisa raised him in Boston and he turned out to be an amazing human being, so I’m going to do that with you too.” Chris felt his vision blur when he heard you say that, then stifled his laughter when he heard what came out of your mouth next. “And when you become a Bostonian, Daddy will tell you all about The Patriots and the Boston Red Soxs and- who knows what other teams he supports. I’m not a sports fan, if you can’t already tell.”
“Of course he can tell, you’re wearing a Yankees cap.” Chris quipped as he walked over, and you rolled your eyes as you giggled. “Oh God,” he sighed dramatically as he sat down next to you. You turned to him with furrowed brows when he buried his face in his hands, groaning. “Why must you do this to me?” He murmured into his hands.
“Make me fall deeper in-love with you,” he turned to you with a smile and you laughed. “No, seriously. That little conversation you just had with our son- I mean, you just reminded me of why I took a chance with you, why I went against every instinct and fell in-love with a fan.” Your eyes narrowed and a curious smile surfaced. “When I first-”
“Wait,” you chuckled. “What did you just say?” You asked and he raised his brows, unsure of what you were calling him out for until you said- “Did you just admit to having doubts about dating me because I’m a fan?” He opened his mouth and scrunched his face, trying to feign confusion and innocence. “So all those times when I voiced concerns about being a fan girlfriend and you shot me down, you were actually worried about having a fan girlfriend?”
“What, no,” he blurted and you rolled your eyes, knowing the answer was the opposite. “Y/N, I-” He winced then relaxed slightly when he heard a soft laugh from you. “Look, I’m sorry. It’s just an actor’s instinct, y’know?” He quizzed and you nodded understandingly. “Like I knew you were genuine and you liked me for me, it was pretty obvious in the story you didn’t care about the fame or fortune. But that’s a story and- it was just instinct to question your intentions. If it makes you feel any better, I didn’t question it for long.”
“If I’m being honest, I don’t feel bad about it at all.” You told him then giggled when he laughed. “I just asked because that is the first I’ve heard you say you were concerned about that. I mean- that night we got together, you told me a lot and that didn’t come up once.” You reminded him and he nodded with pursed lips. “Even in your letter, you said you were worried you were in-love with me because of the story, and that you didn’t want to start anything until you were sure you could finish it, but that fan thing- I’ve never heard before.”
“That’s ‘cause I didn’t question for long,” he repeated his earlier statement. “Like it was something I got over before I wrote that letter. We were friends first and it was pretty obvious what your intentions were, so I didn’t tell you because I didn’t see the point. It was irrelevant by the time we started dating. Even more so now that we’re married with a kid,” he chuckled, reaching over to play with Jack’s hand. “I just didn’t want to upset you, I knew you’d pick at it if I told you. You’re a over thinker, even if nothing’s wrong- you’d think something’s wrong.”
“Very true,” you nodded in agreement and he smiled. “Oh well, like you said it’s irrelevant.” You said and he nodded, taking Jack from you. “I’m so happy things worked out the way it did.” You leaned your head against his shoulder; both of you smiled at Jack then Dodger who was looking up at the three of you. “If I could go back in time,” you patted Dodger’s head, playing with his ears. “I’d do the exact same thing.”
“I wouldn’t,” Chris laughed, “I’d speed up the process.”
“As long as we end up here,” you kissed Chris’ cheek, “I’m good.”
@sginger1995 requested: Could you do a story where a new resident moves into max’s building and she has an ex thats abusive that she had kids with and max starts acting like a dad for them and a husband for the new resident?
Character(s): Max and Reader Summary: Max didn’t expect for you, the new tenant, to be newly divorced with two young children. However, the more time he spent with you, the more he realized that you had taken him out of the walls and shown him a world that he always knew he could live. Word Count: 2,465 Warning: Fluff! Mention of domestic abuse!! Author’s Note: Ahh!!! I have been waiting so long to write this request. If anyone that knows me knows that Max is my #1 weakness (Denny coming in a close second). He is bae and one of my favorite characters that JDM has played. I know. Something must be wrong with me, right? Anyway, @sginger1995, thank you so so much for requesting this! I loved the idea behind it and I couldn’t wait to start writing! I hope you enjoy it! :-)
Imagine telling Chris you love him for the first time.
A/N: Finally had some time to just sit and write, so here’s that request from @createdbytinyaddiction. I hope this meets what you requested, my mind’s kinda in holiday mode.
The sun rose over the Manhattan skyline as you awoke from your sleep. Your eyelids fluttered open and you smiled when you remembered you were still camping out in your living room in the fort that you’d made with your boyfriend, Chris, and his adorable co-star, Mckenna, on Thursday night after their movie ‘Gifted’ premiered at the New York Institute of Technology. You’d promised her the last time you saw her at the Los Angeles premiere that you’d let her have a sleepover at your apartment after the New York premiere. She’d been wanting to see your apartment for a while now, from the moment Chris told her about how you had the most beautiful workspace with the prettiest teal blue typewriter- she’d been begging you to see it. Mckenna showed a great deal of interest in creative writing, so it didn’t surprise anyone that when she met Chris’ writer girlfriend that she’d cling onto you.
You didn’t mind though, you found her incredibly adorable and sweet. You remembered meeting her at lunch after she was casted, you’d fell in-love with her immediately. Chris had brought you along because he’d bring you everywhere with him if he could, and usually he could- you were a freelance writer, you could work from anywhere at any time. But you also knew the real reason he’d brought you along was to see you around kids; he was a family man who wanted a family of his own eventually, so he had to make sure the one he was going to settle with had the same family oriented values that he did. Now he knew you had nieces and nephews like he did, but he’d never really seen you with them as you’d only been dating six months. The two of you were still in the honeymoon phase where it was all about the two of you and no one else mattered. You’d met his parents and he’d met yours, but that was it. You were both yet to meet the rest of each others’ families, though plans had been made for the Fourth of July.
Despite the relationship only being six months old, you were both pretty sure about each other already. Even before the meeting with Mckenna went down, Chris had no doubt about you because he knew you shared the same mindset as he did. You may not have been as big a kid person as he was, but you did believe in doing things for the ones you loved and you loved Chris. If he wanted children, you’d have children. Be it for him, or with him- you’d do it because the love you carried for him was indescribable and unconditional, and it was enough to erase any fears and uncertainties that you had about having kids. Before you met Chris, you didn’t understand what your mom meant when she said “when you meet the one you’re meant to be with, you’ll want kids.” After meeting Chris, her words had never been more clear.
The only thing now that was standing in your way of getting that happily ever after was yourselves. Neither of you were fearless enough to push past the concept of time, you both worried that things were progressing faster than they normally should therefore preventing you from professing your love for each other. He didn’t want to scare you away and you didn’t want to scare him away, which was ridiculous because neither of you had plans to go anywhere. One of you just needed to find the guts to pass that first 'I-love-you’ barrier then things were going to fall right into place and you’d both live happily ever after.
“Morning,” you heard Chris whisper as he rolled onto his side, draping his arm over your stomach. You turned to face him, pressing your hand against his stubbly cheek. “How do you always look so beautiful so early in the morning?” He quizzed with a sleepy smile that made your heart flutter.
“I just watch and learn from you,” you answered then giggled when he chuckled. “How’d you sleep?” You asked, running your fingers through his hair which was so much fluffier when he didn’t have any product in it. He groaned as he stretched and you knew sleeping on something other than a bed was starting to take a toll on the body. “Think it’s about time we tear down the fort and sleep in the bedroom?”
“Probably,” he chuckled, resting his arm on your stomach again. “I do like sleeping in this fort though.” You nodded in agreement as you admired the interior; it was a lot prettier at night as there were fairy lights you could turn on. “Mckenna did a great job decorating it, I don’t think we could’ve pulled it off without the kid.”
“Neither,” you agreed with a nod. “She’s pretty talented, that one.” You smiled when you remembered you were having her over again soon. “I can’t wait to see how well my bake day is going to be with her as my sous-chef, I bet she’ll be more helpful than you.” He scoffed, pretending to be more offended than he actually was. “All you do is distract me, I never get anything done with you in the kitchen.”
“And that’s a bad thing?” He smirked and you laughed, squirming when he tickled your sides. “I’m the best sous-chef and you know it,” he poked your cheek and you rolled your eyes, nodding mockingly. “Say it, Y/N.” He tickled your sides again and you laughed. “Say I’m the best sous-chef, say it.” He urged as he continued to tickle you.
“You’re the best sous-chef!” You managed through your laughter and he stopped, wrapping his arm around your waist and pulling you closer to him. “You’re the best sous-chef, okay?” You caressed his face in your hand and you rested your forehead against his. “You’re the best sous-chef, the best actor, the best boyfriend. You’re the best everything, Chris,” you told him, smiling as you lost yourself in his kind eyes. “And I love you,” you whispered, completely unaware that that was the first time you’d ever told him that.
“What?” His eyes widened and his lips parted; he may have been waiting to hear those three words for a while now, but it still took him by surprise. “Did you just-” He cut himself off when he saw panic wash over you. “No no no,” he chuckled as he tried to calm you down. “Don’t um- Don’t freak out, Y/N. It’s a good thing, you love me. It’s- it’s fantastic.” You pulled away from him and sat up, burying your face in your hands. “Hey,” he sat up and placed his hand on your back. “Y/N, listen to me. I’m-”
“I’m going to go start breakfast,” you said and quickly scrambled out of the fort and to your feet. Chris followed you, chuckling softly. Your panic rose as you felt his presence right behind you. “Do you want pancakes?” You tried to quicken your pace only to have him stop you by grabbing your wrist in his hand. “You don’t want pancakes?” You mumbled nervously when he spun you around, eyes watching you with an intense gaze.
“Can you shut up for a second?” He asked and you pressed your lips together; he chuckled softly then smiled as he whispered, “I love you too.” Your heart rid itself of all that horror and panic, and sang a thousand melodies. “I love you so much, Y/N. You don’t even know how long I’ve been wanting to tell you how much. If you didn’t say it then, I would’ve said it at breakfast. I just-” he cut himself off, licking his lips. “You’re the love of my life and I’m in-love with you.”
“Are you sure?”
“Are you serious?” He laughed and you bit back your smile. “Yes,” he cupped your face tightly in his hands, “I am absolutely sure that I am one hundred percent in-love with you. I’m thirty-six, sweetheart. I wouldn’t be with you if I wasn’t sure you’re the one I want to spend the rest of my life with. I think I should be the one asking that question seeing as you’re the baby in the relationship,” he chuckled when you scoffed, slapping his chest ever so gently. “So are you sure?”
“I loved you even before you knew my name, Chris Evans,” you responded, wrapping your arms around his neck. He smiled, releasing your face to wrap his arms around your body to pull you as close as he possibly could to him. “So yes, I am very, very sure that I’m in-love with you.”
“Good,” he smiled. “Because I’ve got great plans to marry and spend the rest of my life with you.” You smiled and tipped your head, inching closer to his lips as he inched closer to yours. “I love you, Y/N.”
