You sat down on the couch and rested your head in your hands. You were cursing yourself for not being more careful. Last night had been one of the best nights of your life, and it was being tainted by the jackasses on your front lawn.
“Y/N,” Jensen said, placing a hand on your back and rubbing gently. You groaned in response to his touch, still trying to process what was happening. “So, I’m Jensen,” Jensen said with a nervous laugh as he stuck his hand out to shake Harper’s hand, is left hand still resting on your back.
She laughed. “No shit Sherlock.”
Jared couldn’t help but laugh as he stood on the other side of the room, arms crossed over his chest. Jensen gave him an irritated look. “What?” Jared laughed. “Seems like Y/N sure knows how to pick her friends. This one is almost as feisty as she is.”
You laughed as you looked up at Jared. “She’s my best friend for a reason.”
“She speaks!” Harper laughed as she looked at you, a look of concern mixed with amusement spreading across her face.
You ran your hands through your hair and sighed. “So, yesterday I went up to the school because I had all those essays to grade, right? Well, I was busy for about an hour when I decided I need to take a break. My pre-ap kids just go on and on,” you laughed and rolled your eyes looking at your best friend.
She smiled. “Kind of like you are right now?” she laughed.
