like i cannot believe movies like “split” are still being churned out but at the same time i unfortunately can believe it b/c it is a reality that a large section of the horror genre is very dedicated to the demonization of mental illnesses deemed “scary/unstable” (i.e. anything other than depression and anxiety, lmao) and actively contributes to the stigma surrounding ppl w/ those illnesses, and has been that way/doing that shit for years, rooted in ableism just for cheap scares and making a buck off of them, at the expense of mentally ill ppl.. that’s hollywood! it’s bad! it’s irritating! it’s harmful! i’m irritated! constantly! i’d take 500 shitty vampire films every year if it meant never having to see any of that shit again and it being praised/treated as anything other than genuinely horrible towards mentally ill ppl, like, fuck
Would you believe me if I said I drew this first out of all the prompts in the challenge? LOLOLOL I wanted to post them in order but I realized the fatesona child thing was also a prompt so… oh well. 😂😂😂
Power Rangers was awesome! I’m not gonna spoil much, but it was great to have such a diverse group of teenagers find a deep an meaningful friendship and power in each other. They were all well developed and three dimensional characters and i’ve liked them all individually. It was cool to see them struggle with their newly found abilities and to fit together, that felt very realistic. BFF and me had heart eyes for all the rangers. Please go and support the franchise, i’d love to see more of these robo kids.
