this actually looks more grey than blue but

(SLIGHTLY angsty) Futurama AU where everything is essentially the same, plot-wise, but for one thing. Fry’s appearance is drastically different, thanks to the Cryo-chamber he fell into. Apparently it had some sort of defect or leak at one point, and slightly damaged his body on a superficial scale, and thankfully not on a internal scale. Nonetheless the damage was done, and as the pilot ep’s events unfolded, Fry becomes aware of how his body changed. His overall complexion has became flawed due to frostbite and potentially thanks to the fluids that froze him……….. His skin tone and hair color is ghastly lighter than before, his physical extremities are slightly gray or even pale blue, and his eyes, oddly enough, now have a pale grey iris & pupil. Other than that, he essentially is the Fry we all know and love, but a bit more frozen-like than usual and sometimes Bender likes to mock his appearance. (In typical Fry-like fashion, he’ll actually think his ‘new’ appearance is kinda bad ass and hero-like, but most people think he looks like a day old corpse, but don’t have the guts to say that to him since that does hurt his feelings.)

pls enjoy :)

She always had her journal and a pen latched in her hand as she walked in. My eyes always amazed on how someone is always at her beck and call, I mean look at her. The way her hair curls down her back, her hips sway as she avoids bumping into people in the hall, everything about her was so pure. The mix of innocence and sweetness excited me, like she has never heard of a bad word or even said one. She walked to her normal spot in Pius, seat just right to get the amount of sun and warmth, and shadow needed. I liked her from the moment I laid eyes on her. Her skirt rose more just because the way her hips were, and I am not complaining.

The pen tapped her glossed lips as she thought on her new entry. I could smell her sweet Daisy perfume from across the room. She smiled at me when she saw me, like she knows exactly at this time I’m here, waiting for her. “Hi Calum.” She greeted in her soft voice setting the pen in-between the pages of her journal. “Hey, Violet.” I smiled back. “Out of all people, I never would’ve expected you to be this, fascinated in someone.” She giggled as if it were the funniest thing in the world. “I just like that you have such a desire to write, it is quite fascinating,” I winked causing a deep red to spread across her cheeks. She waved for me to come sit by her, and so I did.

“Since you’re so fascinated that I write, take a look.” She turned a few pages back, letting me read on whatever her mind pondered on.

February 23

I notice all your features. I notice how blue your eyes are, and when they become darker as you become frustrated. how your smile is bright and teeth are white. i notice the way your hands grab the pen you hold when you write and how concentrated you look when doing it. i notice everything it;s scary, and i hope you notice me

your mind is a storm. sometimes it’s dark and scary, the other times its light and beautiful. i wanna know what goes on inside there, what’s its like to think. you have never imagined how one word can mess me up. no matter if it’s an “insult,” or compliment. everything you say comes and stays in my mind and i can’t get rid of it. it burns in my brain and makes my head hurt. i never understand what you say if it’s true or just a joke. i just hope it’s out of care.

i cried over you again today. i cried over how much you hurt me. i cried over how much i wanna yell and scream at you. i cried over how much i want you to love me. i cried how i want you to give me answers on us. and it sucks because you talk to all these other girls yet I’m the one who you hurt the most because whatever you say I’m processing in so many ways and then you say I’m joking, i wanna yell because thats not what you made me feel 2 minutes ago…

She must of noticed on how I got caught up in this because she covered the rest of it with her hands. “That’s enough for today.” She said, her voice was full of sadness. “Violet, I never knew how deep you were.” I exhaled. She half smiled, “It’s a blessing and a curse.” I stood up, grabbing her hand. “C’mon I wanna take you some where I think you’ll like.” I laced my hand with hers, surprised she didn’t let go, but rather caress her fingers in mine. I led her to a spot behind the park that had a bench looking onto a lake. “I come here when I feel sad.” I let go of her hand, going to sit on the bench. She quickly followed me, sitting down clutching her journal with her. “It’s beautiful Calum,” She smiled up at me.

I wrapped my arm around her as she nuzzled into my chest. “You always seem to fascinate me Violet, rather it be writing or sitting in Pius working on homework.” I spoke her. “I don’t understand why Calum, I’m just an ordinary girl.” She giggled. “You don’t seem normal to me Violet,” I took her chin in-between my fingers. Her eyes glazed over mine, flickering to my lips back to my eyes, mine did the same. I found myself leaning in to kiss her plump lips, and she did the same. Our lips intertwined with each others, and I could taste the peach gloss she always sported. We pulled back after a moment, “Who hurt you?” I asked. She sighed, “It’s a long story, I’m not sure you’d want to hear it.”

I tucked a piece of hair behind her ear, “I have all the time.” She perked up a bit, “Well, my dad abandoned me when I was maybe 10. He left me for weeks with barely anything to eat or drink, so I mostly wandered the streets. I never met my mother, my dad told me she wanted nothing to do with me since I was born, and then my dad and I never grew found of each other. So, I live with my Aunt. She took me in after she saw what my father has been doing to me. I’ve always been scared to be loved or love anyone. Once I got to high school, I met this guy, Josh. I thought he was the one, and I liked him for so long that he eventually gave in and we dated. Once we got to graduation of Senior year, he told me the whole thing was a dare and that he would never love someone like me because we were too “different” and that really broke me. And those writings you read, were about him. It still hurts Calum.” Tears filled up her vision, and she looked down too scared to face me.

I wiped away the tears on her cheek, tilting her head up a bit, “No one should ever feel hurt like that, do you hear me? Violet, I’m so sorry.” She smiled. “It’s ok Calum, I’ve heard the pity and I don’t need anymore of it. Thank you for bringing me here, I needed someone like you.” She looked up at me. “This is why you fascinate me, I never knew.” I kissed her forehead. “It’s really fine. If you really want, we can go back to my place.” She offered. “You think I’m gonna let some pretty girl like you walk alone, you’re not getting rid of me.” I told her letting her stand. “You’re such a dork,” She smiled.

After watching four movies with Violet, I’ve learned a lot about her. Her music ranges from Blackbear to One Direction, her favorite color is white, her favorite book is Milk and Honey, and countless details that I’ve come to love. “I can’t thank you enough for actually spending time with me Calum, it means a lot.” She looked up at me. “You know I would love to do anything that involves you.” I smiled. Her room was more girly than I expected it to be. The walls were white, decorated with pictures of her and her friends. Her bed was white, and the duvet was grey with blue pillow accents. She had a full length mirror that had motivational quotes along the edges, along with her makeup vanity that held everything a girl could ever want. There was a white fuzzy rug that coated the wood floors. “Again, you fascinate me.” I said, pulling her into me. “Again, I don’t see why.” She giggled.

“Violet! Ven por favor!” Someone called from downstairs. “Oh, that’s my Tia. I’ll be right back.” She broke herself from my embrace. “Hola, Tia. Que tal tu día?” I heard her ask. “Ay, good. Quien esta arriba?” “Calum,” She replied. “Quien?” “Un momento.” I heard Violet walk up the stairs. “My Tia wants to see you.” She smiled. “I never knew you were Spanish.” I said, following her down the stairs. “There’s still a lot you have to learn about me Calum.” She winked. “Tia, esta es Calum.” Violet introduced me. “Hola, Calum!” Her Aunt greeted. “You can call me, Sarah.” I casually waved. “Preguntarle si quiere quedarse para la cena.” I find this fascinating. “Do you wanna stay for dinner?” Violet asked. “Sí gracias.” I said. Violet laughed at my basic Spanish skills.

We headed back up to her room. Violet sat on her clear chair with a white pillow that was set at her vanity as I sat across from her. “I never knew you were Spanish.” I said, again. “Yeah, my mom is from Spain, and my dad is from Chile, so I have some Spanish decent in me. I grew up speaking it, and my Tia goes back and forth speaking it, you’ll notice it.” She said. “So is Violet your real name?” I asked. She shook her head no, “It’s Francesca, but I didn’t like the idea of being called Fran, and Violet is what my Tia called me from when I was little because she didn’t think I looked like a Francesca.” She said. “Fascinating, again.” I said. She threw a pillow at me, “get a new word!” “Violeta, Calum cena está lista!” Sarah called. “Let’s go eat!” Violet got up and headed to the kitchen.

“Thanks for everything today Calum, I had a good time.” Violet broke the silence. “I’m never leaving you, I hope you know that.” I told her. I could feel her heart race when I said those words. “Is everything going to go back to normal tomorrow? Me sitting in Pius for hours and you being adored by everyone?” She asked. I sat up pulling her in between my legs, “Are you kidding me? Violet, the moment I saw you, I liked you. And why you fascinate me is because you’re so strong, you know what shit to get done, you’re everything a girl wants, and so much more to me.” I said. She smiled with small tears falling onto her cheeks, “I’ve never been told anything like that before.” I kissed her, making her feel wanted. Her dainty hands wrapped around my neck as I pulled her into my lap. My hands rested on the skin under her sweater. I felt Violets hands grip the fabric of my tee-shirt, my arms reach over to pull her hands away. I shake my head before speaking up, “No, don’t. Tonight is all about you.”

“Just tell me to stop if you want,” I assure her. She smiled, taking her sweater and pulling it over her head. Her breasts spilled out in her white lace bra. “God you’re beautiful.” I told her. “Have you ever been touched here?” I asked her sliding my hand between her legs running my fingers over her cotton panties. The touch was bold but I could tell she liked it by the way her eyes glazed over. She shook her head no. “I never knew how to ask.” My eyes feel to her bare neck that I could easily cover in purple marks. “Well that’s a shame.” I moved my hand back feeling the heat and the little wet spot forming. “I bet you’re sweet.” I whispered looking back up at her. “I guess you’ll have to find out.” She winked. Fucking hell this girl.

I began rubbing circles on her clit, “God I can feel your pussy getting wet.” “Oh my God Calum don’t say that.” She gasped covering my mouth. “That word is degrading.” She whispered. “Well from what I feel down here, it seems as though you like when I say pussy.” I added pressure to my fingers. She moaned at the contact. “What are you doing to me?” She moaned. “I’m gonna make you feel so good.” I whispered. To me her body was like a goddess, her hips nice and curvy, her breasts perky and big, and her ass god I can’t get enough of her. I tapped my fingers on her juicy bottom lip, “Suck.” I ordered. Violet gladly took my fingers in her mouth, coating them. She slid her panties down her legs, her wetness glistened. My finger curled inside her. “Do you think I can add another finger?” I cooed taking her bottom lip between my teeth. “Please.” She whispered before pressing her mouth to mine almost immediately running her tongue along my bottom lips to ask for entrance. She moaned hotly in my mouth when I pushed a second finger inside her. It was a tight fit, but I made it work. “That feels so good.” She moaned with a shaky breath before I sucked on her bottom lip. I quickly discovered my obsession with her mouth. It was just so tasty and pretty to look at.

“Calum, what are you doing to me?” She moaned. “You’re just about to orgasm babe.” I told her, sucking purple and black marks on her neck. “Oh my god, it feels so good.” Her sweet moans filled my ears. “C’mon girl, you can do it. Cum all over my fingers.” I said. Her body shook as her orgasm took over her beautiful body. Violet’s breath was heavy as she pulled up my shirt. “I’ve always found your tattoos attractive.” She said, tracing the inked skin. Her nails raked down my arms making me groan. She began undoing my belt buckle and unzipping my pants. “You’re gonna have to help me because I’ve never had a cock in my mouth before.” I moaned at the way the words came out of her mouth. She dropped to her knees, “It’s so hard.” She whispered struggling to get the zipper down. After she finally got it down, her warm hand dipped into my boxers firmly gripping my cock. Pre-cum was smeared all over the head. Without me saying a single word she swirled her tongue around the head of my cock licking it off.

“Fuck.” I swore throwing my head back. Her tongue ran down my length taking as much of it as she could. “Teach me.” She said, running her lips to the head of my cock. “You’re doing pretty good without me.” I said. She smirked a little to herself, taking my cock in her mouth again. Her hand came up and began stroking immediately. “Look at me.” I instructed. Her eyes looked up at me. She sucked hard starting to bob her head up and down starting to get the gist of giving head. She hummed around me keeping her tongue on the under side. She continued to suck on the tip and stroke the rest. “Shit Violet.” My hands ran through her hair, guiding her up and down my cock. “Fuck, I’m gonna cum Violet.” I moaned. Her actions sped up, her hands working with what she couldn’t fit in her mouth. “Such a good girl.” I said. I grab her chin, making her face my eyes.

Her eyes were locked on mine and I pulled her on the bed. “Now what can I do?” She asked, almost oblivious to what just happened. “You know what else you can do? You can come up here and let me feel that beautiful pussy around my cock.” I said, my voice filled with lust. “Good, ‘cause I want you like crazy.” She smiled before kissing me. Violet laid back on her bed, ready. I towered over her, drinking in her body. “You ready baby?” I said, positioning myself in front of her entrance. “Always.” She said. Her hips grinded with mine. “God, Calum.” She moaned. One of her hands held onto the head board as the other held onto my bicep. “Fuck Violet, you feel amazing.” I said picking up my speed. “Shit, whatever you keep hitting, feels really good.” Her mind was going into a frenzy. Her moans sounded like music to my ears. None of her quiet self, it was much more vocal. “Calum, I’m gonna cum.” She moaned, her back arching slightly as I continued to hit her g-spot. Her nails raked down my back, filling up with euphoria.

“Come on pretty girl, cum for me again. Cum all around my cock,” My words edged her on. “Oh my god, oh my god!” She yelped. “Atta girl.” I moaned, feeling her walls clench around me. The pleasure was too raw. “Fuck,” I moaned pulling out of her. “I didn’t expect that.” She giggled. My hands massaged her breasts, her humming.

“You’re gonna be my favorite prized possession.”

aaaaa I just saw wonder woman it’s so good!!!!!! in no particular order:

  • its the first time DC has had fight choreography that didnt suck
  • its the first time DC hasn’t had awkward heavy handed faux biblical symbolism
  • It’s the first time DC has had a score that didn’t suck
    • for real it’s one of the best scores for a superhero film in recent history get on board and write some dang character themes everyone else
  • They hinted at the Born Sexy Yesterday trope only to immediately shut it down with the funniest line in the film
  • The Amazons are completely non-sexualized???? there’s women with wrinkles and crows feet and their fighting is all practical and GOOD.
  • there’s??? a fat woman??? who’s a major character??? and no one makes any jokes or derogatory comments about her?? AND there’s no slapstick or shots of her cramming food in her mouth??????????? AND SHE’S ACTUALLY GOOD AT HER JOB?????????????????????????
  • it’s the first blockbuster movie romance i’ve had more than negative interest in. I almost cried
    • maybe its because both partners actually have separate character arcs that are given equal importance from the narrative
  • Diana isn’t dark or edgy like at all and the movie actually explores important themes about the nature of good vs evil and humanity instead of just shouting LOOK HEROES SUCK AND DO BAD THINGS EVERYTHINGS TERRIBLE over and over again
  • the color scheme still sucks tho. there’s a few scenes where they definitely made Diana brighter, but just like. someone ban hollywood from using blue and grey in more than 20% of any given shot.

In summary this is the Woman Superhero icon we deserved and needed like 50 years ago and patty jenkins should be given full creative control over all movies from now on

some of the many things i visualized wrong in warriors:

  • leafpool having green eyes
  • lionblaze having blue eyes
  • cinderpelt (sometimes) being brown
  • dustpelt not being as dark brown as he was
  • stormfur being a silver tabby
  • feathertail being grey
  • yellowfang (sometimes) being golden/amber
  • tigerheart being more reddish than brown
  • leopardstar looking like an actual leopard
  • crookedstar being a grey tabby
  • onestar switching between being brown and grey
  • sol being golden/brown
  • foxleap looking like an actual fox but cat form
  • spiderleg being solid black
  • longtail being yellow
  • ravenpaw having blue eyes
  • millie being cream
  • birchfall being blue/grey or a totally impossible white with black stripes
  • brackenfur being dark brown
  • bumblestripe being white with black stripes
  • rosepetal being… pink……
  • constantly mixing up the territories of where windclan and riverclan are since they switched places between the forest and lake territories

and there are sooooo many more from where those came from

dolphin emoji reviews.

acceptable “cartoonish” concept, but the head and tail are wildly disproportionate and something about the shape of the head/nose is throwing me off. 3/5

this one is literally just a shittier bootleg of the apple one. there’s no shading, dolphins are physically incapable of bending that far, and when the FUCK are people gonna realize that no dolphin has ever actually been anything more than a SLIGHTLY blue-ISH grey. -1/5

like this coloring is way more accurate but what the FUCK is that silhouette. nice color, giving us the ol’ razzle dazzle. 1/5

this is a dolphin from hell. a cryptid. his nose looks like a shitty anime kiss. his kokoro goes doki doki 0/5

this!!! is a beautiful blend of caricature and realism!! i’m a huge fan of the anatomy and shading, the expression is slightly manic but he’s happy to see me and i trust him with my life 6/5

i don’t know what the shit this is. moreover, my lusus never looked at me with that much love in his eyes. -7/5

did. did you even try?? you tried too hard?? what is this ??i guess it would be okay with a less garish outline but the smile is unsettling me 0/5

Shadows on the Subway Pt. 2

Fandom: The Mortal Instruments/Shadowhunters
Paring: Jace x Reader
Summary: You’re traveling home when an unexpected interaction leads to deathly consequences. I’ve had requests for a part 2 so here ya go!
(PS- I know this mirrors the storyline of Clary Fray, but I couldn’t help but add some modern flare to it. Plus it’s such a good intro for a character to have into the shadow world!)

You clung to your sink, turning the edges black and sticky with the woman’s blood. Shaking you turned the sink on and scrubbed your hands vigorously, watching your skin come through the stain and turn red. You knew, despite all your effort, there was no washing this away. You closed your eyes and saw it all. The guy with the sword and equally dangerous eyes. The woman’s sharp teeth and gaped mouth that stopped inches from your face. The weight and crunch that came with stabbing someone through the chest.
“You’re ok. You’re ok.” you tried to tell yourself, staring at your reflection. Taking a deep breath you exhaled slowly, feeling a slow calm fall over you. You wondered if this was normal, or a sign you were turning into a serial killer. One kill and that’s it, you’re sucked in.

A sudden knock on the door made you jump. You panicked, looking at the black splatter and handprints on your bathroom sink. Quickly you left the bathroom, locking the door behind you. As you walked to the door the guy’s words came creeping back into your mind, They will come after you. Before opening the door you reached under the couch, pulling out the baseball bat your parents had bought you as a house warming gift, a ‘just in case.’ You had laughed at them, telling them it wouldn’t be needed and if it was it probably wouldn’t be much help. Now you were praying it was as effective as they claimed. You looked through the peep hole quietly, holding the bat poised to strike. The first thing you saw was a flash of blonde. It was the guy from the subway. You gasped and pressed your back against the door like turning away would make him disappear. How did he find you?
Again, a knock came.
You moved away from the door and backed yourself into the living room. You started thinking about how you could get out, if your bat would hold up against someone who carried a sword. Before you could come up with a plan you heard your padlock click, and saw your door start to swing open.
The blonde guy and you came face to face as he stepped into your apartment. “In my defense,” he said shutting the door behind him, “I did knock first.”
He didn’t look surprised or angry, just interested.
“A baseball bat? Hm, interesting choice.” He said stepping towards you. “Unfortunately it’s not going to help you with what’s coming. Not unless you sharpen it into a stake.”
“Back the fuck up.” you said, adrenaline suddenly replacing the fear that coursed in your veins. You held the bat in front of you keeping several feet between you and the guy.
“Woah, a handsome stranger walks into your apartment and that’s how you greet him?”
“What, am I suppose to fall in awe of your presence?” you retorted, “the last woman I saw fall in front of you did that because she was dead.”
“I’ve get killer good looks,” he said smirking at you and stepping closer. “And if I remember correctly you’re the one who stabbed her.”
Your eyes went wide. “Don’t worry, it was actually a really good shot. For a- whatever you are.”

“Jace, will you please stop flirting with the mundane.”
You spun around to face the new voice, seeing a tall dark-hair guy. He was dressed in the same all black but his blue eyes where more grey-blue than the other’s, with cheekbones as sharp as the expression of disapproval he wore on his face.
“I wasn’t flirting Alec,” Jace retorted. “I was questioning.”
“You were being annoying.”
As scared as you were you wanted to laughed at comment from the one called Alec.
“Let’s just grab her and go.”
“What?!” you looked between them alarmed and swung your bat, “I’m not going anywhere!”
In one smooth step Jace covered the distance between you two and grabbed hold of your bat, stopping it mid swing. He pulled it out of your hands effortlessly. “Oh yes you are. As much as Alec here might hate it. Otherwise we’ll be leaving you to your fate. And we can’t do that, sacred calling and all.”
“Jace,” Alec said, motioning him to look outside your window. Jace moved to join him and saw what Alec did. Deep in the dark there were flashed of pale skin, like slivers of the moon, dodging with inhuman speed in and out of the street light.
“Vampires.” Alec breathed.
“Well looks like the party came to us.”
“I love my parties full of violence.”
“What?” Jace spun around to see what had Alec in such a fuss, thinking maybe you had just picked up your bat again and needed another talking to. He even pondered tying you up until the fight was over, just for good measure.
But you were gone.
Bat and all.
“We better find her before the vamps do.”

Afternoon Gifts (Babyfic)

For starter’s, I decided to post this now because it’s growing larger than I want to wait for. Also this is a “Fuck you the ten year time skip never happened and no bodies fuckin’ dead” AU! Featuring SunPrince Prompto and MoonPrince Noctis (because I love them and they get to be gay married okay)

Noctis sucks in a breath, staring at the floor, his hand still on the doorknob as he tries to find the words he’s about to need.

How the fuck…his dad might’ve managed to ask the impossible in having Noctis deliver the news.

Next time, he’s definitely just going to make sure Prompto comes with him to a “one-on-one” with the King. After all, Prompto’s a Prince now too and more than capable of handling the job.

HEY ALL - this is kind of terribad but I finally busted through my epic writer’s block, and give you the follow-up wedding ficlet started from this prompt (I don’t want to go to my ex’s wedding alone).

In the weeks leading up to the wedding, Steve was infinitely glad that he’d finally gotten up the nerve to ask Bucky to come as his ‘date’ - not only because of the relief he felt when he’d been able to check off the plus one box on his RSVP and save face, but because it turned out that planning an international trip in such a short amount of time (even one that had been planned as meticulously as Peggy Carter could) was ridiculously stressful work.  Steve wasn’t sure he’d have gotten through all of it with his sanity intact, if not for Bucky’s help.

As it was, they had their flights scheduled and were both able to get a few extra days off of work to allow themselves time to do independent sightseeing around the city.  Initially they’d had trouble figuring out how to fill said days without being completely pathetic tourists, but luckily Steve had been able to find time for drinks with Peggy one evening after work, who was so thrilled to hear that he was FINALLY owning up to his feelings about Bucky (the way she’d gushed when Steve had admitted the identity of his date had been all kinds of uncomfortable, considering how subtle he thought his feelings for his friend were) that she was all-too-happy to give them an itinerary of things to do together.  Steve tried his best to ignore how many times she mentioned Angie during the list… not because he had any problems with his ex’s fiance, of course, but because he didn’t want to psyche himself out too much when it came to riding the London Eye with Bucky.

Just because Peggy said it made for a great date afternoon, didn’t mean that they couldn’t enjoy the hell out of it as friends.

As the date drew closer, Steve was half-afraid that he should suggest they spend time acting as a couple, to make the whole facade more natural when they were put on the spot; as it was they were spending so much time together anyway, making plans and just hanging out as they always had (and on one regrettable night, practicing dance moves at Bucky’s insistence) that it hardly seemed necessary.  God knew that they were together just as often as any other busy, employed Millennial couple were, and they’d known each other for so long that it wasn’t as if someone would be able to quiz them and call their bluff on the act.  Plus, weren’t people supposed to date their best friends, anyway?  If anything, Steve figured that Bucky was the best he could ask for in a pretend date, outside of maybe Peggy herself.

He was getting really good at ignoring the voice that reminded him how much he wished it wasn’t pretend, too.

Is it just me, or Stella looks more like Ravus’ sister despite her outdated PS3 model? Face shape, high cheekbones, violet eyes (Ravus’ grey/blue eye has different shade than Luna’s deep blue, it’s more noticeable in game), hairstyle.

People even speculated that Ravus is gender-bendered Stellla, but he always was his on own character. On FFXV/Versus XIII storyboard they appeared together and with the same hair color.

But considering how awfully Square Enix handled remaining Nox Fleuret siblings, I’m glad that Stella wasn’t in game and she rests in better place now.

P.S. And as much as I liked Stella in trailers, I don’t understand people’s idea of bringing her back insted of Luna or Ravus. What can change different model, if main problem is writing?

Standing Up for You

This Feysand fic was written per this anon request! I had a really fun time writing it and this is my first finished piece that was a direct request, so thank you mysterious anon for believing in me to fulfill it! As always, please feel free to message me with any and all feedback! And also send me fic requests! These first two weeks of uni have been crazy, but I’ve been trying to write as much as I can. Happy reading!

Rhysand watched his mate saunter across the floor at Rita’s up to the bar, aware of his eyes on her even as the friends surrounding him tried to snag his attention. He was sitting low in the corner booth, one arm slung over the back of the area she had just occupied before she had whisper-slurred in his ear that she was getting them more drinks.

He had tried to pull her back down to him, insisting that no, she most certainly did not need another drink, but the vixen slipped out of his arms and went on her way. Rhys didn’t go after her, knowing that if she wanted another drink then that was what she would get, especially since she was so determined to win the drinking game against Nesta and Cassian, the champions. At least the High Lord and Lady weren’t in last place; that position belonged to Lucien and Elain unsurprisingly, whom hardly ever touched alcohol, none the less played drinking games with it. In fact, he didn’t see either of them sitting at the booth now. They must have finally realized that this game could only end up with both of their heads in toilets and snuck away when everyone else was distracted.

It was Rhys’ turn to pick the card from the deck but he was enjoying watching Feyre go on her toes to reach the bartop and lean over it, gripping the edge to keep her balanced and upright, too much to turn away. He wondered if he should have walked with her, since she hardly seemed able to stand on her own and Rhys saw the bartender shaking his head as if he couldn’t understand the slurred words she was trying to say to him.

Ok so like.

The Grey Warden “tabard” is a full body scale-mail “shirt” fastened at Mordred’s either sides. Under that he wears something like Blackwall’s aketon but thinner, because he doesn’t expect to wear full plate armor + the tabard is already backed by dyed-blue leather, so the chafing isn’t so bad.

Cape n shit afterwards. On his belt are pouches for spell ingredients (some of his magic need them; he learned the “wilder ways” from Chasind shamans and Dalish mages), vials upon vials of mana potions, a number of other things, and the sword. Shield he doesn’t lug around while traveling. Mordred actually uses a longsword that lets him either two-hand or one-hand effectively, and he’s agile enough to parry/evade foes rather than just turtle his way through assaults. It’s not until Inquisition that he picks up a shield again.

He’d look like bona fide Grey Warden traveling if it hadn’t been for the BIG FUCKING CAPE that’s ROYAL BLUE (an expensive dye to find and also even more expensive to buy that much dye to make that much cape; Leliana’s budget thanked Mordred for being small), GLITTERING from all the enchantments he sewed into it…

hey how to start drawing SHIT if I am a beginner?

Art tips for anon who doesn’t know SHIT (slightly updated text and links since I didn’t actually answered to ‘how to start’ but rather gave many tips lmao):

  1. - Have a sketchbook. Or any drawing paper just so could have it with yourself at all times. Unless you’re Artgerm, who once in some interview have stated that he doesn’t doodle in a sketchbook, ever. I wish we all were him but we all can’t be him.
  2. - Doodle once in awhile, doesn’t have to be everyday but make it your goal. This is the best way to start. As children we all started off with doodling so why not to take it into another level when you are able to learn faster and more efficient with just doodling!
  3. - Less “Awh they’re so much better than me and they are YOUNGER than me :(” more: “Everyone is evolving at different pace and everyone are at different point in their journey. So what can I do to improve?”
  4. - Try to draw what makes you happy.
  5. - Take a moments in stretching your wrists.
  6. - (ノ◡‿◡)ノ~『✧・゚: *✧・゚:* Practice *:・゚✧*:・゚✧』
  7. - Keep a neat folder or a blog with pictures that inspire you.
  8. - There are things like /idea generators/. Look those up.
  9. - I know motivation is important but you need to also start learning how to do things when you don’t have it. Discipline yourself if you really want to reach some sort of “pro level” or you want to draw for a living in the future.
  10. - Doodle/draw with a pen/permanent marker. Trust me it healthy. (if you’re starting digitally - avoid ‘Ctrl+Z/Cmd-Z’)
  11. - You learn from mistakes ?? Like you will know next time what not to do. Like Bob Ross has said ‘’We don’t make mistakes we just have happy accidents.’’ So you either learn from them or try to adapt it into your advantage??? *
  12. - Reference photos are friends not foes.
  13. - Break complex forms (like dragons, insects, exotic birds, ect) into their basic shapes.
  14. - Try various mediums if you can (watercolour, pencils, gouache, oils, pastel, oil pastels, crayons, acrylics, plasticine, papier mache, glueing an image from coloured paper or magazine? idk it seems fun lmao, digital art, ect.).
  15. - Try new things if you feel brave enough (take up some 30 days challenge or theme challenges and you don’t even have to do them all).
  16. - Learn from others, figure out how they accomplished something you like and would like to apply to your own liking.
  17. - Try to ask other artists for advice/general tips.
  18. - Ask for critiques. Others might see things you have missed. As a beginner it is usually not on the mindset, more like being afraid of it an failure but critiques can really just help you see what is wrong in your artwork.
  19. - Don’t take criticism personally. It is a critique of an art work not the person behind it. So if you get some ‘’I don’t like it’’ for a critique, as in their personal taste, I let you punch them in the throat.
  20. - (ノ◕‿◕)ノ~『✧・゚: *✧・゚:* Practice *:・゚✧*:・゚✧』
  21. - Again. STRETCH.DAT.WRIST. Or you may have some serious health problems in the future. Stretching and taking breaks are crucial.
  22. - When drawing some original random characters or something like that. Make their designs somewhat believable. Doesn’t have to be just as same as in real life but it has to be fantasy-believable. It takes time to figure this one out but the earlier you learn about this the better for the future. Since if you take away all the decorative details off of your character’s design you might left off with some blond white guy wearing a shirt and some straight pants. Not extremely appealing.
  23. If you are suffering from “same face” check out this blog and this tutorial.
  24. - Don’t draw ladies in illogical, impractical, non-functional bikini/boob window/“bra” plate “armour”. That shit is everywhere and it sucks. It’s so damn boring not even that sexist it is just simply boring, unprofessional, lack of imagination. Unless you decided to draw men with some thongs as their ‘armour’ then please, be free to draw both like that but if your design choices are like that please get out of my face and go to the pit of shame.
  25. - Sycra’s ‘Foundations of Light and Shadow’ is some good stuff, my friend.*
  26. - When colouring. Remember that each colour looks a bit different near/surrounded by other colours. For example: grey is a neutral colour but will seem warm being besides or surrounded with cool colours like blue AND yet the same grey will appear cool next to warm tones of oranges or reds. So if you see someone say “light skinned men lower part of the face is more blue than their forehead/middle part” please don’t use actual blue but just make it more neutral/to the grey area.
  27. - If light source is warm (sun or fire) then shadows will look cooler. If light source is cool(most of artificial lightings) then shadows appear warmer.I already mentioned how grey appears near different colours so this is the same the lighter area appear more warm or cool depending on the light source while the shadows stays usually /neutral/ I mean there can be more than one light source, or depends from the weather outside, ect.
  28. - Really do not shade with black and white. That is unrealistic and mostly boring. You can check that with put a white paper close to a bright light source, put something white on that paper and near that object put some bright red object, the white object will have shades of red on it’s side. So would you choose to draw that shadow with still only shades of black? or add red? Same for objects outside, the sky is blue, the shadows becomes more blue, the sun is emitting warm light so shadows already looked cooler. Just to colouring there are so many things.
  29. - People’s skin have different undertones. It can be orange, red, purple, yellow in almost any ethnicity (you can figure it out when looking at the skin w/o direct sunlight or in the shadows). ∩(︶▽︶)∩ *
  30. - Do not forget about different possibilities for lighting: strong lighting, night lights, light from behind, ambient light, light from below, different colour lights and even underwater.
  31. - Things in focal points are more detailed, sharpest edges, highest value contrast while everything else can be blurred and faded out. *
  32. - Wet objects are darker and shinier if the surface is smooth enough and there is enough of water).
  33. - Clothes has folds and different textures which determine the “highlight” which usually doesn’t exist on clothes but people draws those as if it’s some latex.
  34. - (ノ⊙‿⊙)ノ~『✧・゚: *✧・゚:* PRACTICE *:・゚✧*:・゚✧』
  35. -If you’re digital art rookie then FLIP THE IMAGE HORIZONTALLY.
  36. - Thumbnailing is the best (think of some film with great cinematography/composition - draw as many scenes as you can from that movie).
  37. - When you think you’re done. Take a picture of it with your phone. You will know if it’s really done or not (doesn’t matter if it’s a traditional or digital art work).
  38. - Check values with either taking a picture and making it black and white or digitally with desaturation(sai)/‘colour’ mode black layer (Photoshop).
  39. - Use guide/leading “lines” so your drawing isn’t all over the place and you don’t know where to look. Make the viewer look at that one most important point. *

I just want to say that I love drawing glowing things… The light reflecting on stuff,,,not so much.

I think that this turned out a little bit better than I was expecting. I was actually going for grey!reylo but this looks more like dark!rey and Kylo  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Yeah anyway I know most people are hoping for a yellow saberstaff for Rey but I just really like the blue/red contrast between them.

aoi-hagane  asked:

I love your art! How do you do such amazing color? it looks so vibrant jet paint like #Goals

Thank you so much! And to compliment my color, that’s kind of surprising lol because to be honest color is something I struggle with a lot, and oftentimes I end up really disliking my color palette that I’d used in my artwork… So I wouldn’t completely rely on what I say if I were you, since I’m also still learning, but take what you can from this :)

here are some tips that I keep in mind when painting (though I could definitely use some help as well haha…)

•keep colors moving: don’t think that there’s only one color in certain places like in shade or in light, it may not be glaringly obvious but one color almost never stands alone; it’s always supported by the colors surrounding it. To be more specific, James Gurney’s Color and Light book says that “colors can be understood only in relation to each other and that no color exists in isolation”. So what looks blue may not actually be blue, it might be a really desaturated green next to a really saturated orange or some other warm color, and vice versa.

•grey is more nice to use than you might think: I use it a lot to balance my colors, for example the general rule of cool light and warm shadow/cool shadow and warm light, I usually use a more grey shade of a color to tone down some spots if they’re too saturated. Also, if you use the desaturated versions of a complementary color on a more saturated color, you’ll get some type of blue. In the most basic terms, if you have a really strong yellow or orange and you put a really desaturated green or green blue, it’ll look blue, and that kind of thing is what I go for instead of putting an actual blue on a strong yellow/orange, since that’d only make it look garish.

•value is equally, maybe even more so, as important as color, if your values are not working or not believable then most likely your colors will also end up that way. However, in my case in the past I often had too much contrast between values where it shouldn’t have been, like a cloth fold shadow would be too dark and the light hitting it to bright, and my clothes/skin/etc ended up looking like it was made of rubber or plastic or some other gross shiny thing that wasn’t supposed to be shiny.

•I also implement broken color (“placement of adjacent strokes of contrasting hues which mix vibrantly in the eye”, also covered in Gurney’s book) to add that vibrancy. It can be found in Impressionist or probably early 20th century illustrations/paintings, a good example of that is The Loneliness of Peter Parrot by Walter Everett, or any of J.C. Leyendecker’s paintings.

•limited palette: in general, using colors from all over the color wheel could turn out very badly, depending on the circumstances. Try not to overdo colors, for me; I either keep one color strong and the complementary of that color weak, or I use an analogous palette so it doesn’t look boring, stuff like that.

So yeah, this probably doesn’t need to be said, but I recommend you give Gurney’s book a read, and also to learn more about color theory. I’m not a professional (here’s the disclaimer lol), and this only applies to what I specifically find helpful for me, not every artist there ever was, so take my info with a grain of salt :) hope this helps!

Please please pleaseeeeee a little drabble about the baby bots? Love your works! :3

Baby Bots? Well here you go…

Referring and inspired by this post

“Good morning Sir.”

Tony’s eyes snapped open at the familiar voice that seemed to be a lot closer than usually and sounding a lot less electronic. It took a second for his eyes to focus in on a tall man standing above him. Said man had the lightest shade of blue eyes he had ever seen, lighter than the sky on a quiet fall day. The next thing he noticed was the light blonde hair that seemed to spike out over his hairline. His hair wasn’t long but it there was just enough extra to not be considered a buzz cut.

But from what little he could see of the man above him, aside from his ridiculously straight (perfect) facial structure and flawless pale skin, he had no idea who this stranger was…

He blinked, “JARVIS?”

EH 25.2 - The Devil's Due

~2700 words

Cast: Haylan ( @siriusdraws ),  Rythlen Theirin ( @picchar ), Milliara (me!) Theseus Trevelyan (@perditionxroad), Peanut Adaar ( @cupcakelogic ) Guest appearance: Karya and Aldes ( @kingsdragonage ), Kenslynn ( @megan-mayhem )

Haylan - The Peanut Gallery Skyhold

Haylan found herself sat between Peanut and and an elf with a large bowl of popcorn balanced on her lap. She’d protested weakly about spying on the ball, but the chance to watch the goings on of an Orlesian court event live was too tempting to pass up. Besides, Fiowyn had repeatedly assured her that the Inquisitor was aware of the fact that the video was being streamed to Skyhold.

“Ooohhh good one Millie,” Fi said as her cousin promised to take a bite out of the Templar. “I’ll need to remember that.”

Varric had pulled open his tablet and started typing furiously, no doubt this would show up in his novel about the Inquisition. At least, Haylan //hoped// there would be a novel about the Inquisiton. One that conviniently left her out of the story so she didn’t feel weird about reading it.

“Well if she didn’t, I’d volunteer to,” the male elf –Aldes?– said.

“Millie’d fight you,” Karya said quietly. “And you know how she fights.”

“Pretty?” Peanut asked.

“Dirty,” Aldes answered.

“Booooo!” Fi said, throwing a handful of popcorn at the screen as the Chevalier Frederic and the Grand Duke appeared on screen.“Go away Fred. No one wants you.”

“Who’s that? Why are we booing?” Rumbled a deep voice from the doorway. Haylan looked over her shoulder to see Warden Hawke and the giant Qunari standing there. Carver looked confused, the Qunari, Metal Bull or something, just looked amused.

“That’s the Inquisitor’s ex, Nils’s dad,” Fi said over her shoulder, waving them in. “We don’t like him until he proves he’s not the asshat he was.”

Bull nodded thoughtfully, walking over and sitting on the floor to lean against one of the couches. Carver joined Varric at a cleared off desk, still not sure what to make of the whole situation.

“So, what’d he do that was so bad?” Carver asked, looking towards the elves.

“He locked her up for like five years,” Fi said.

The room went quiet, and all eyes shifted to the Inquisitor’s cousin. Fi, realising that what she’d said sounded strange sank into the couch and pulled her blanket up to her nose.

“Well. At like, an estate? Cottage thing? All I know was there were bears.” Both Aldes and the quiet young elf made a face.

Carver’s eyes narrowed and he looked back at the screen. “And he’s still alive. Why?”

“Politics,” Haylan said quietly. “What’s that the Duke was saying? I missed it.” But it was too late, the Inquisiton was entering the ballroom, announced one by one to the Orlesian Court.

“Lady Inquisitor Milliara Lavellan, Herald of Andraste, Protector of the Apostates of Redcliffe, former bard of the Orlesian Court and former mistress of Chevalier Frederic Rousseau.”

Bull let out a low whistle.

“Someone’s playing dirty,” he muttered. “Former mistress. That’s gotta sting.”

Haylan stayed quiet, but she was glaring at the screen. You didn’t do that to someone. Not- not when they were there to help save the nation from demons. It was just so petty and rude.

“Bottle of wine says whoever paid the announcer to say that will be dead before the night’s over,” Fiowyn grumbled. When no one answered she looked around at them, an eyebrow raised.

“Fluffy, aint no one gonna take that bet who’s ever met Sunshine,” Varric said with a dark chuckle.

Rythlen - The Winter Palace

Hand tucked into the crook of her husband’s elbow, Ry cast a last look over him before reaching out to straighten his tie. The Inquisition was entering the ballroom now, and they would be next. She missed what was said that caused the gathered crowd to gasp, but the sudden bristling of the members of the Inquisition told her it wasn’t something that was in their favour.

“What’d he say?” she asked Alistair quietly. Her husband’s ears turned red and he cleared his throat.

“Uh, I… don’t know. I got distracted by how pretty you are,” he admitted, the blush spreading to his cheeks. Anyone else and it would be the worst kind of line, saccharine and ridiculous. But this was Alistair, he was exactly that kind of sweet. Ry couldn’t help but smile and steal a light kiss, careful not to transfer any lipstick.

“Charmer,” she chided with a wink. Smoothing her hand over the dress one last time, Rythlen took a deep breath and let it out slowly. Ferelden politics were one thing, but Orlesian court was a whole different playing field. She’d dressed for social war, a sleek dress of silver silk on her left and blue on her right, cut through the centre by a panel of sheer mesh than dodged towards her hip and became a slit for ease of walking. A similar sheer panel cut down her spine and off to her other hip, suggesting skin without actually revealing more than she was comfortable with. Alistair looked dashing in a suit of the same blue, trimmed with steel grey and silver medals that hung from his chest.

They were war heroes, and as silly as that felt, Rythlen knew that flaunting such status would work in their favour among the foppish, frilly court of Orlais.

“I wish you could have brought Fyr,” Alistair muttered from the corner of his mouth, resting his hand over hers as they stepped forward to be announced. “Just imagine her slobbering all over Celene’s fancy guests.”

Ry had to bite the inside of her cheek to keep from dissolving into laughter. She elbowed her husband as the Announcer motioned them forward.

“Announcing the Her Majesty Queen Rythlen Cousland-Theirin of Ferelden, Slayer of the fifth Archdemon, Veteran of the Fifth Blight, Hero of Ferelden, Ferelden ambassador to the Inquisition, and her husband His Majesty King Alistair of Ferelden, Grey warden and hero of the Fifth Blight.”

“Oooh, I get chills whenever I hear I’m married to a hero,” Alistair murmured, leading them forward to cross the floor slowly towards where Empress Celene waited to greet them.

“We’ve been married for almost ten years,” Rythlen said through her quiet smile, nodding at certain dignitaries as they passed by.

“I still get chills,” Alistair said, looking at her. Rythlen’s smile bloomed back up at him, and she nudged his side.

“I do too, but try to pay attention tonight,” she said, turning back to Celene to greet the Empress of Orlais with a graceful tilt of her head. The empress was wearing some monstrosity of a dress, with heavily emboroidered fabric artfully curving out from her waist in architectual tiers. It looked like it must weigh at least twenty pounds, if not more when Rythlen considered the glittering sunburst ruff that framed the Empress’s face.

“Empress Celene, many thanks for your thoughtful invitation,” Rythlen said. “Ferelden wishes only for the peace and prosperity of both kingdoms.”

Celene returned the gesture.

“We are pleased to host such distinguished guests. We hold great respect for your service for the system both past and present. Please make yourselves welcome.”

With that, they were free to roam. Alistair led Rythlen up to the gallery where Milliara was speaking with Leliana. Neither looked pleased. Were Rythlen to guess, she would place good money the reason being related to the gasps she’d heard earlier.

“Ah, you must be Millie,” Alistair said smiling and holding out a hand to the elf to shake.

“That’s me,” Milliara said, taking his hand and shaking it firmly. “Thanks for lending me your wife. She’s been a wonderful help with… everything really.” Milliara glanced at Ry and offered a fleeting smile, but a real one.

“Just so long as you don’t keep her,” Alistair said. “I want her back by midnight or so help me I’ll have to ground both of you.”

Rythlen bit back a laugh at the Inquisitor’s expression. Her eyebrows had lifted and Ry could see the elf working through how to react to that. Actually maybe it would be a good idea to NOT let her react to that.

Ry cleared her throat and waved at Theseus who was standing nearby. He nodded, and began to wade through the over-built dresses of Orlesian ladies that had flocked his way.

“So, apparently Theseus is my long lost cousin,” Rythlen said. “According to his father at least.”

“Really,” Milliara said, looking over to the Templar as he approached. “I can see it, actually. But, his father’s in Halamshiral?” she asked Rythlen.

“Unfortunately,” Theseus said, handing a glass of champagne to Milliara and Rythlen both. “I wish I could have recorded what Ry said to him though. I’ve never seen him turn quite that shade of purple. No offense,” he added, glancing at Millie who shrugged in reply.

“I had heard he might be in town,” Leliana said. “I have also heard rumours that a former companion of ours might be in attendence tonight as well.” The redhead tapped a finger to her chin, eyes scanning the ballroom. “Though what she could possibly be doing here is-”

“Maker, please tell me you’re talking about Wynne,” Alistair interrupted. “Please.”

Leliana’s smile was sharp and devious and it felt good to see a flash of her old playful self, Rythlen thought.

“Oh…no,” her husband groaned and bent his knees to disappear into the crowd as he looked around. “Where is she?”

“Question,” Milliara said, lifting a finger up from her glass of champagne. “Who are we talking about? Is this Morr-”

“Dont’ say her name!” Alistair hissed. “She hears it. I don’t know how she does she just does. And then she shows up like a vulture hovering over your shoulder and starts picking your life apart in bitter, angry pieces.”

“How charming tis hear that I am such a horrid creature. What ever Rythlen sees in you, tis not your mind, I assure you.”

Rythlen turned to look over her shoulder, face splitting into a smile at the sound of her friend’s voice. The witch, dressed in Orlesian finery, was indeed right behind Alistair. It was a bit of a shock to see the witch of the wilds that Rythlen knew to prefer leathers and unorthodox clothing in a grand ballgown, but somehow Morrigan seemed to be comfortable enough.

Ry supposed when you changed your skin so often clothes seemed to be just another shape to shift into.

“Tis good to see you, friend,” Morrigan said, clasping Rythlen’s free hand. “But I wish ‘twas in better circumstances. You are in grave danger here, as are we all.”

“Cheery,” Alistair muttered, crossing his arms.

“I’ll leave you three to reconnect,” Milliara said, then glanced up at Theseus. “Let’s go out to the garden, there’s a lovely fountain out there.” Without waiting, the elf had slipped her hand into the crook of the Templar’s elbow and steered him away from the small group, leaving only the Blight Veterans behind.

“Is that-” Morrigan asked, glancing at Leliana and then Rythlen. “Such strange magic. How curious.”

Theseus - The Winter Palace

The ball was dizzying, more so than he’d expected. It seemed like every courtier was trying outdo the others when it came to the amount of excess they wore. What had to be wigs were vibrant in colour, dresses and suits covered in flowers or feathers or other designs. He was sure he’d seen one woman wearing a dress that looked like it was made with butterflies. Compared to the Orlesians, the simplicity of the Inquisition and the Ferelden delagates was a welcome break to his eyes.

Walking through the crowd with Milliara, he took the time to scan the crowd for any familiar –and unwelcome– faces.

“Sorry for not mentioning my father earlier,” he said, leaning over to murmur in Milliara’s ear. “You seemed like you had enough on your plate. I didn’t want to bother you with anything.”

Millie looked up at him, lips quirking into a smile. Since they’d left the front courtyard, some of the icy demeanour had settled. She seemed more comfortable now that she was in the very thick of things. Of course, thinking about the front courtyard made him think of what she’d said and now wasn’t the time for that. Later though…

“That’s alright,” she said, squeezing his arm gently. “I’m curious, I want to see what shade of purple we can get him to turn.”

The garden was thankfully open to the night air, with climbing vines on trellises, and a small quartet playing classical Orlesian arrangements. There really was a fountain, smaller than the one out front, the bottom of which glittered with small silver coins.

He might not have noticed Millie’s small sigh if he wasn’t so close, but he felt it through her hand. Glancing over at her, he wondered if the wistful look on her face was nostalgia for times past or something else. Gratefulness of being free of the crowded ballroom maybe?

Theseus meant to ask, but the sight of the Inquisitor had drawn attention and already a man was approaching them, wearing a white suit with a small cape pinned back over one shoulder. He looked faintly familiar, though it took the man’s accent to place him.

“Excuse me, Lady Inquisitor?” Starkhaven. The Prince of Starkhaven. It seemed that anyone important in Southern Thedas was at the ball. No wonder his father was in town, Ivan Trevelyan had never had much contact with the Vaels, to his father’s frustration.

“Yes?” Milliara said, hand slipping from Theseus’s arm to hang by her side, ready.

“Inquisitor, if I may make introductions, this is Prince Sebastien Vael, of Starkhaven,” Theseus said. “It’s an honour to meet you, your highness.” And he meant it. Unlike the usurpers who killed off the Vaels, Theseus had heard nothing but grudging praise for the Prince. He was honourable, he cared for his people and he’d sent funds and hands to help rebuild after Kirkwall… oh.

“It’s a pleasure to meet you,” the Prince said with a bow, “I was hoping. You were both with my good friend Hawke at the end, were you not? I-”

Milliara nodded, setting aside the glass of champagne to clasp the Prince’s hand in both of hers.

“He offered to stay behind,” Milliara said quietly, “To save his brother. To save us. There was a demon, I wish we could have stopped it and saved everyone. But…”

“But we couldn’t,” Theseus finished for her. “I am sorry your highness.” Just thinking about the Fade made his back itch and burn. Had that only been a week ago? It felt unreal, like it had happened to someone else, sometime else. Theseus twitched his shoulders to try to ease the itch deep in his muscle, but it wasn’t any use.

The Prince smiled sadly, resting his spare hand on top of hers.

“Please,” he said. “I did not come for apologies, merely a misguided need for closure. To have lost my good friend after so much strife… I would pledge Starkhaven’s support to the Inquisition. Should you need anything that we can spare, you need only speak the word.”

Calm blue eyes looked at Theseus then back to Milliara, and the Prince smiled slightly, though the grief was still evident on his face.

“I can feel the Maker in your actions, just as I felt Him when Hawke would stand up against the injustice done at Kirkwall. He and our Lady Andraste ask much of us, but I have Faith in your abilities Lady Inquisitor and Ser Knight.”

He bowed again, releasing Milliara’s hands.

“I have stolen enough of your time. Many wait to meet the Inquisitor who will save us from the demons of the Fade. I hope to remain in touch.” With another bow, the Prince stepped away, leaving both Theseus and Milliara watching him as he walked away, towards the Ballroom.

“That’s a real person, right?” Theseus muttered. “I feel like he can’t be real. I’d heard stories-” he trailed off, realising Millie had looked up at him, eyebrows raised.

“You’re one to talk. But I think you just lost your title of Prince Charming,” she teased with a smirk.

“Title ceded,” Theseus said with a smile back. “And maybe by the end of tonight you’ll have to retract 'boyscout’ too.”

He was rewarded with a blush and swat of her hand into his side. Grinning, Theseus picked up the glass of champagne and followed her into the crowd, taking a sip as he went.
