things-that-will-anger-you

would you rather fight a buff anarchist or a communist who listens to david harvey

things to consider:
-anarchist has a lot of pent up anger, might pretend you are the state
-because of the communist’s exposure to dialectics, his movements are a lot less predictable

Would you rather fight gracielovesjesus or communismkills

Things to remember

  • Communismkills has a lot of pent up anger, might pretend you are karl marx
  • because of gracielovesjesus’s exposure to country  music, her attack patterns and movements are a lot less predictable

my twitter is full of people who know nothing about turkish politics commenting on how it’s a “win for democracy”

It’s not a win for democracy when AKP weren’t democratically elected. They have been rigging the past few elections because they can’t let go of their power. And this failed coup could lead Erdoğan to becoming a lot more authoritarian

Erdoğan has previously complimented Nazi Germany, made a number of misogynistic statements (1, 2), frequently degrades minorities including Armenians, Georgians and Kurds. His government frequently imprisons journalists, with people going to prison for petty things such as making memes about them.

The AKP only care about protestors and democracy when it BENEFITS THEM DON’T EVER FORGET THAT

This isn’t a win for democracy. There will be more jailed journalists, more restrictions on civil liberties, more authoritarianism and more grief.

project home is about this fandom and what we can do. ultimately, it’s here not just for the band and our love for them but also about us as a unit. it’s not about anything else but channelling positivity and making something that nobody else apart from this fandom is able to do. it’s about being a united front and putting effort into creating something so beautiful that it connects everyone and its reach ultimately will be way bigger than the 1d fan base. at the end of the day, we’re pretty awesome so why not show everyone just that. happy project home everyone :)

The song ‘Last Kiss’ is sort of like a letter to somebody. You say all of these desperate, hopeless feelings that you have after a break-up. Going through a break-up you feel all of these different things. You feel anger, and you feel confusion, and frustration. Then there is the absolute sadness. The sadness of losing this person, losing all the memories, and the hopes you had for the future. There are times when you have this moment of truth where you just admit to yourself that you miss all these things. When I was in one of those moments I wrote this song.

Here’s my thing about ya’ll’s anger on Poussey’s death...

I think you all missed the entire point.

This show is not porn of Black pain. Every character on that show is suffering in a different way. Drug Addicts. Distraught Wife. Mental Illness. Heritage Pride. Sense of belonging. Etc.

Yes, they handled topics of racism in very white ways, where some statements coming from Black and brown characters are unreal because the ideas were developed by white minds.

However, when it comes to Poussey, they did a phenomenal job about mirroring the roots of the #BlackLivesMatter movement.

1. Poussey “accidentally” died due to lack of breathing while in possession of an officer = Eric Garner

2. Poussey’s body laid on the cafeteria ground for hours untouched and the prisoners (bystanders) were traumatized at the notion that her corpse is uncared for = Michael Brown

3. While her body still lays in the cafeteria, her family isn’t notified nor any details released until the police can come up with “an angle”. = Sandra Bland

4. Her photos are also being photoshopped to look less sweet (”remove her bunny ears”). = Trayvon Martin

They chose Poussey to die for a reason… so we can have a character that WE ALL KNOW is harmless, cheerful, joyous, loving, happy, cute, peaceful and SHE STILL DIES AT THE HANDS OF POLICE AND WILL BE VILIFIED. This is what we’ve been screaming about since 2012 and they displayed that. It HAD to be her so no one can watch and say “well she was violent, so…”, “well she was on drugs, so…”, “well if she didn’t act that way, then…”

These are the victims we grieve today. Loving, caring, harmless and unarmed DEAD Black people at the hands of manipulative police.

You get it now?

Question about something you reblogged: "So many men have internalized the lie that they have ... no way to control their anger..." I just had a question about it, how is this a thing? I've heard the excuse: "you can't control your depression so why do you push my mental things aside like they're nothing i.e. anger and why do you get so upset that I get angry when I have to put up with your depression." if you get what I mean? How can one like, control their anger? hopefully this makes sense.

Because we can control our anger. How many times have you had a shitty day at work and managed not to scream at customers but come home and been rude and snappy to your parents or your partner? We can’t control that we get frustrated or that things frustrate us, but the majority of people can control how much they let it impact them and what they do with it.

With men we teach them than manly anger and aggression is normal, even a required part of masculinity. We teach them that they can’t help it and, by proxy, can’t help what they do when they are angered.

We create toxic masculinity and then we create excuses for that same toxicity.

This subtle and almost invisible moment when Julianna’s acting is flawless and Alicia’s pursing her lips basically saying “Ok, so that’s what it’s all about”.

I don’t want to be angry anymore. I want to be calm. I want to stop hurting people and blowing up all the time. I hate myself for it. It’s straining my relationship. It’s made my mom cry. I just lose it and blow up on anyone that’s near me when I’m mad and I know it isn’t fair but I feel like I can’t control it, and every time I go off I just get more angry at myself and it makes it worse. My anger is out of control and I don’t know how to fix it. I feel like the worst piece of shit.

So today my friend was complaining of having to spend too much time with her boyfriend next year as they’ll both be at the same school.

WHAT WOULD I GIVE TO SPEND TOO MUCH PHYSICAL TIME WITH MY BOYFRIEND.
