things that go wrong

The cult ending isn’t canon. It was something that had to be datamined, which means it was either content that was decided against being put in the game (thus, not canon, because they changed their minds), or it’s something for future DLC (Halloween, anyone?), which could also very well mean it isn’t canon if it is just a spooky story type DLC.

The good ending for Joseph is glitched because of one of Mary’s final interactions. You’re supposed to walk her home and talk with her. Their marriage is failing, and she’s already been cheating on him. Even if she didn’t sleep with the men she flirted with, it’s still cheating. It’s not okay. Things are all going wrong. Their marriage can’t work because neither of them are happy. They need a good ending.

On that note…Please, can we have some wholesome Joseph stuff? I wanted to play a lighthearted gay dating sim (as a gay man, it’s really fucking upsetting that I can’t even have that) and all I’m getting is hate towards this character, hate against the people who romance this character, and creepy cult shit. I just want to look at my cute boy in the way the game intended. Something light hearted, sweet, sometimes sexy. I want wholesome Joseph stuff. Can we please pull away from this toxicity?

It’s not canon, the game is glitched, we need more information before we can officially shit on this character and the people trying to date him. Can you just give a gay boi his gay boi?

Can I just talk about the fucking ride that was Supergirl this past week?

It started with that TV Guide thing getting out about Mon el returning. Fans were rightfully pissed because why tf would you bring back a hated character that serves no purpose and was dragged several times by critics?

Then, Supergirl Twitter tweeted out in support of Karamess for a TCA. Fans dragged them in the replies, to the point where only about 10 or so of those tweets were in favor of Kremlin.

In result of this, they allegedly hired a new PR team. New PR team was smart and had Katie promote Supergirl for SDCC. Fans start to come back in their good graces.

Now, we’re here at the most dreaded thing since the finale. SDCC. And we had a lot of things to worry about.

But, I guess we were worried for the wrong reasons.

Most of us predicted every scenario of how things can go wrong.

But I don’t think any of us could predict the face of the show and another lead actor sing a fucking song invalidating lgbt+ fans and what we enjoy.

And, look, maybe this will be the final push. Maybe this’ll be the thing that makes them wanna course correct and fix the show and what it has become and who it attracts.

But, I know that I (and I hope a lot of others) won’t be here to see it.

TCR Birthday Bash: Seasons

A/N: I’ve been chasing round ideas for this day for weeks now and, lo and behold, an idea turned up on the day itself! This ficlet is one of the Bureau’s many misadventures, inspired by a forest I found during my uni years. (The forest, and not the misadventures, thankfully.) Enjoy!

Although it could only have been hours, it felt like they had been walking through that forest for an eternity.

The locals called it the Wood of All Seasons. It was an apt name for the sprawling woodland that centred the strange little world; a wild intersection between the realms of the seasons. A place filled with wood magic and fickle fae. It was a place where only the brace or foolhardy ventured.

Or, it seemed, little girls with far too much curiosity.

21. “I’ll be gentle.” - Otayuri

Otabek had gotten a new piercing. A nipple piercing. It was a silver barbell through the center going horizontally. It hurt so much to get and he was still sensitive after a month. Yuri had been eager to see what they looked like.

Otabek was shirtless, per Yuri’s request, and smiled. He was nervous about all the things that could potentially go wrong. Yuri brushed his fingertips down his neck onto his chest above Otabek’s nipples.
“I’ll be gentle.” Yuri said. Otabek nodded and Yuri was so gently and calm. It was a new feeling of pleasure he wanted to experience more of.

Hi there, just wanted to say that I love what the game has in store so far <3, keep up the good job! I was just curious and wanted to ask what type of parent the ROs would be if they had a child with Gabriel. Have a nice day! :)

1. Iain would be the proudest dad (and always embarassing his kid). He would spoil them, and anytime his kid did something he didn’t approve of, he would go more with “I’m disappointed in you” with any sort of punishment being more of an afterthought (“and, by the way, you’re grounded for a week.”) Don’t break his kid’s heart though. You’ll get a visit from overprotective dad who carries a gun for a living.

2. Alice would be absolutely petrified of things going wrong. She would make Gabriel do most of the infant care while she hovers. At night, she would often sneak out of bed and be found in the nursery, asleep in the chair next to the crib. As the child grew older, she would start teaching them how to do things in a safe way (i.e. “I don’t care if you go drinking with your highschool friends as long as you don’t do it in public and you don’t drive yourself.”) She’s a believer of letting people make their own mistakes but making sure that when they do, they know who to ask for help. She would also be that kind of hip mom (without trying) that then morphs into the “Your mom goes clubbing at her age still?” She would try to be friends with her kid.

3. Iro. “Get that thing the Hell away from me before I feed it to a hellhound.” She has no maternal instincts. Curiosity would lead her to occasionally check in on how her spawn was doing (from afar). If they take after her and are good at it, she would claim some credit (“Even my genes are capable of being great.”) Otherwise, she would never claim them.

4. Aelius wouldn’t know what to do with an infant, but would be ridiculously good at entertaining toddlers. He would spoil the child rotten, overindulging them and being incapable of judging anything his child does as wrong.

5. Leo would be the doting father. It would be more difficult to be able to get the baby away from him (and make him sleep). He would want to show his child how to be self-sufficient, teaching them a lot of practical skills. He would also be a little bit of a helicopter parent, and try to have strict curfews. While he dotes on his child, he would be a terror to any potential significant other.

6. Tadea would say she doesn’t like brats, but she would quietly clean-up and ensure that all their basic needs are met. She wouldn’t initiate physical affection, but you could often find her curled up on the couch with the little one, watching cartoons. One of her priorities would be teaching her child to defend themselves and to stand up for what they believe in.

7. Karyn would encourage spontaneity and creativity. Coming home would mean often coming home to a house where she and Gabriel’s child both decided to draw on the walls. A logical minded child would try her patience and frustrate her. She would have some issues as the child grew, fondly recalling their childhood while the child in question would be annoyed that she seemed tied to who they were and not who they are becoming. When the child left the house, she would get empty nest syndrome bad (to the point she would want another child before the first left).

8. Tom already has a kid, and would be worried about how adding a half-sibling would work for both Josie and Daniel. He would love the kid to pieces, but quite frankly he wouldn’t have wanted another kid. Daniel and Josie would be sufficient. A third child would feel a little strange to him, especially as he would feel older than most father’s of children of a similar age. He would also be busy with pack responsibilities and less able to give them the same attention he was able to give Josie, so he would have doubts as to his own success as a father to the child.

9. Charleston isn’t big into kids, but since it’s Gabriel’s (and his) he would try his best. He would make a lot of mistakes (and need a lot of reassuring). He’d be that awkward dad who doesn’t know what to say to children, and would usually clam up around them. At home, however, he would try to engage in whatever the child is interested in, hoping to bond over discovering why they were interested in something.

10. Michael would spoil the child and be overprotective to the point that the child would be a complete brat unaware of any consequences to their actions.

11. Ramiel would dote but be firm. He’s made enough mistakes in his life that he would be paranoid of his child making the same ones. Furthermore, he would hold them to a higher moral standard and expect them to be kind.

12. Sabriel would love the child, but she would often be away because of her duties. When she was home she would always make sure to make time to have do something with her child and with the whole family as well.

13. Stephanie would be excited and nervous to be a parent. She would be extra paranoid about them getting hurt (baby-proof EVERYTHING) and she would go overboard on all the books about parenting. (Play Beethoven

14. Ryder would not want to expose his child to the outside world (and the stupidity of the general human populace.) He would try to send his child to another plane of existence (boarding school) to increase their understanding of how magic and the universe works. He would be stern on the face of things, but would actually be wound around the finger of his child.

15. Zaria would be a little distant with her affections, not being as open to showing emotions. She would love her child fiercely, singing them lullabies (if they happened to favor her non-human side) that only they could hear. She would want her child home-schooled with private tutors, trying to give them the best money can offer but likely coming off as too over-bearing.

Ravenclaw Headcanon

Professor Longbottom is the head of Gryffindor house and the Ravenclaws don’t understand why, because if Professor Potter killed Voldemort, shouldn’t he be head of house? So as Ravenclaws do, they pushed the subject even though it wasn’t their business (mostly because Gryffindors just shrug it off and move on). Ravenclaws asked headmistress McGonagall why, and she just responds with “Because Professor Longbottom is a more exemplary Gryffindor.” And the Ravenclaws are like “what? No?” So they take the matter to Professor Potter and ask him. He just laughs and says, “I fought because I had to, because I was chosen by Voldemort, and was magically linked to him, I had no way out. And Neville was chosen by the death eaters. He faced more enemies personally, and he could’ve ran and hid, but he was the face of the revolution here. Neville stood his ground while I was in hiding.”
And all the Ravenclaws become awestruck and ask for more information, and both professors just brush off the subject. And because the Ravenclaws are who they are, when history of magic has it’s lesson on the war at hogwarts, they pay more attention than anyone and soon have a deeper understanding and respect for Professor Longbottom.

It’s actually common for things to go wrong without it being anyone’s fault.

Your car can break down without it being the fault of the person who borrowed it last week. You may wake up to find the coffee pot is broken for no reason other than it’s quit working, it’s not automatically your roommate’s fault because they touched it last.

Just let things go blamelessly wrong sometimes. It will improve your life.

Ravenclaw Headcanon

When Ravenclaws are going to a class for the first time, they get really nervous and triple check that they’re in the right room. If by chance they end up in the wrong room, they won’t leave because it’s after the professor has said what class it is and everyone is settled in their seats. The Ravenclaw doesn’t want everyone to watch them as they walk out, and they just accept the absence from the class they were supposed to be in.

i love mob so much please for the love of god tell me about ur feelings on 100% ecstasy

OH BOY WILL I !!! ABSOLUTELY 100% (pun unintended but warmly embraced)

out of all the 100% events, ecstasy is my favorite. the drama… the tragedy… will fiction EVER peak like this again? i don’t think so. but BEFORE I DELVE INTO ALL OF THAT, there’s something i want to talk about first: mob’s psychic powers as an expression of his emotions.

we all know that mob suppresses his emotions to avoid outbursts of psychic power. but THAT implies that mob’s psychic power is a form of self expression, in the same way that body language is expression.

he can direct his psychic powers – the same way we can direct our bodies’ actions – but there are other components that are difficult to stop, similar to how people’s shoulders tend to hunch when they’re angry or upset, how they subconsciously cross their arms and direct their feet away when something is making them uncomfortable, etc.

unless you know about these bits of body language, and make a deliberate attempt to suppress them, it’s difficult to stop your body from revealing something about your emotions. similarly, one function of mob’s psychic power is as an extension of the way he expresses himself. these things happen subconsciously and mostly without mob’s control.

for example, one of the trademarks of mob’s 100% events is that mob starts releasing waves of psychic power that push his hair back. other side effects include cracking the ground under him, often to dramatic effect.

mob doesn’t push his hair up on purpose, it’s just something that happens – as a result of him releasing his pent-up emotions in the form of psychic power. these little bits of expression aren’t something he can control.

mob also says something REALLY INTERESTING in his first 100% event:

during 100% rage mob uses his psychic powers to fight dimple, yes, but these lines suggest that his outburst of power happened because he finally had to express his anger. and that implies that, in order to show his emotions, and express himself, mob has to use his psychic powers.

which is something he almost never allows himself to do.

never forget the disdain / loathing mob had for himself at the beginning of the manga, and how convinced he was that he couldn’t allow himself to express himself OTHERWISE SOMETHING LIKE THIS WOULD HAPPEN.

further material to consider: the lines that he said right before his 100% animosity / hostility event

at this point, mob hasn’t taken any action against koyama yet. his outburst of psychic power, radiating outward and blanketing the area, is not doing anything but expressing his hostility – to the extent that mob expects koyama to be able to feel it.

in addition to that, during mob’s fight with toichirou, he cycles rapidly through a LOT of emotions, and this is what he says about it:

canon suggests that it’s not just a buildup of of emotions that cause his powers to run amok; allowing his powers to run amok also allows himself to feel the full intensity of his emotions. his psychic powers are key to expressing himself.

I COULD GO ON… but i’ll just leave things here for now. to summarize: mob subconsciously uses his psychic powers to express his emotions, which is why suppressing his emotions also suppresses his psychic powers.

figure 1: a helpful venn diagram of things

the fight against toichirou is possibly the first time mob has been able to fully utilize his psychic powers. the first time he’s had to, even. all the unconscious limits he’s put on himself – not allowing his psychic power to go free, stifling his emotions and powers – all come undone.

mob is allowing himself to be himself, wholly and fully. he’s removed his inhibitions. he’s running wild and free. he’s no longer expending energy trying to regulate his psychic powers – he’s allowing himself to feel. this intensity of emotion and action is something mob has never given himself before, and the freedom of it… feels good. incredibly so. he feels free, he feels alive, and toichirou – the only individual to ever stand on a level close to mob’s – understands perfectly.

this is a level of joy mob has never felt before.

the release of his psychic power even comes hand in hand with mob’s body language becoming much freer and more expressive than it is in daily life. look at him go!! mob, for the first time in years… letting himself feel the intensity of his emotions, just as they really are.

but of course his happiness isn’t going to last

because mob wants to be a part of society, and he thinks he has to keep his psychic powers sequestered away in order to do that. his greatest fear is accidentally hurting the people he loves with his own psychic power, and when he remembers that possibility…

the tragedy of 100% ecstasy is that – for just a brief moment, mob released himself from his self-imposed limits. for a moment, he let himself really feel, he let himself be, and in that moment he experienced a richness, an intensity, a moment of being so utterly present and alive that it brought himself to heights he’d never reached before.

and mob will never willingly allow himself to do that ever again.

Ravenclaws and Slytherins have a lot friendly debates. But they get heated very fast, which is when Hufflepuffs come in to calm everyone down, while Gryffindors try to egg them on. The most heated debates are usually about pie vs. ice cream and other similar subjects.

  • people on this website: it's really mean of you to hate on steven universe uwu some people enjoy it and you shouldn't ruin their experiece, this is a comfort show for many people
  • the same people, without any kind of tagging: anyways teen titans go is bad, the new powerpuff girls is terrible, the new episodes of spongebob and fairly oddparents are awful, and every show that's not steven universe or gravity falls is just objectively worse
  • the same people: i can't imagine anyone using any less succesful cartoon for the same ends as i do with steven universe so why should i censor myself
