they're also a lot of work.

random thoughts of the morning: while i 100% think alec lightwood is a hufflepuff, i find it so interesting that the divide for him is slytherin/hufflepuff, bc those are seemingly two very different houses

but then again, the more you think about it, the more similarities pop up and idk, hogwarts houses are one of my favorite topics of conversation

''surprising'' facts about the signs
  • aries: reaaaaalllly fucking sensitive. that's maybe why they can get angry pretty fast, because they just take shit too personal sometimes, and they can't deal with it. BUT OTHER THAN THAT, they're actually fucking adorable and smol little beans who just crave love.
  • taurus: very care-free and they do not care about a single shitt. they're very hard-working though and they try to get shit done, but they are also very lazy, which isn't really surprising.. they are also very quick to anger, just like aries.
  • gemini: gemini isn't THAT two-faced like people think. they're just moody. they can get easily annoyed and that's why their mood can change pretty fast.
  • cancer: they're pretty obsessed with themselves and they can be really fucking cocky. they secretly like to make others suffer and make them feel shitty. they do it very slowly and careful though, so people won't notice it.
  • leo: really insecure, but never shows their insecure side bc they still want to shine in the spotlight, without people noticing their flaws, if they even have them because most leo's are flawless af.
  • virgo: they tend to worry a lot, still they don't really care about shit. i know that it sounds weird, but it's true! well, at least for the virgo's i know in real life. they tend to worry a lot about their work and school stuff, but they don't really do anything for it, but they also don't really care. however, they always seem to make everything perfect.
  • libra: they are reallllyyyyyy insecure in their relationships. they're usually a pro at relationships, but they are really insecure about it and they often don't know how to deal with them, or what to do with them.
  • scorpio: they are perfectionists. i don't really know if it's surprising, but they are perfectionists. i mean, they are very ambitious and that isn't a surprising fact, but just like virgo, they want everything to be perfect.
  • sagittarius: they are soft little beaaans. don't hurt them please. they seem really tough and strong, but they're realy sensitive. NEVER SHOWS IT THOUGH. you will never know when they're sad or anything, they always want to stay positive and happy, so they do.
  • capricorn: they seem to be emotionless and insensitive, but that's just because they want to be like that. they don't want all these feelings and emotions. but everyone has them, so they do too, but they try to hide it with sarcasm and sometimes even with anger.
  • aquarius: they have LOTS and LOTS of emotions floating in their head and heart and they just don't know what to do with it, so they just let their emotions destroy them, without saying a word. i don't know if it is a surprising fact, but i think it is.
  • pisces: isn't that innocent than most people think they are. they have a weapon which is called, baby face. they have this innocent little face that makes you think that they're all niceee and sweeeet buT NO. they're really good at backstabbing.

💚🐱🌻 three things i love most in life: nice boys, cats, and flowers

i can’t understate my excitement over the idea of getting more Free! this year! Tachibana Makoto is one of those earnest, thoughtful, good-boy types that just melt my heart like butter! *SWOON*

despite not doing anything new with composition, like i had been hoping to do this week, i did spend a long time on this and tried some new things with adjusted line weights and more subtle color gradients. hope you all enjoy it!

(maybe i’ll do the other boys too some time! (O  wO) <3)

i doodled a bit so a concept: serizawa katsuya has two loving parents

his mother went through some hard times with him during his time being all hikikomori’d up and miscalculated when she had been at her wits end, and his father couldn’t be there much due to his job and didn’t know how to connect with katsuya’s problems the rare times he was…. but after the biggest weights were lifted from their shoulders, they quickly snapped back into a close, happy family.

here they’re all super stoked about having bought katsuya a proper suit for the first time ever, and of their son getting a job that’s not a fucking cult bent on world domination. not pictured is their dog currently chewing katsuya’s shoes.

their names are aiko and ishi and y ea i did this mainly to think through stuff for the next chapter of shit-all. spoiler: they’re so good people they adopt reigen immediately.

12th House
  • The 12th house is very personal, and secluded. This is the house of secrets and hidden personalities. The signs, planets and asteroids residing here are internalised, and reside deep inside who they are. It takes people we trust the most to unlock them, and if someone does they explode like fireworks with profound energy and warmth. Unleashing the 12th house is like a private festival of emotions.
  • Sun in 12th: Someone with this placement hides their ego and self from almost everyone. They may come across as very shy and timid, as well as introverted. If this person opens up to you, you learn that there's confidence underneath the layers of quiet retreat.
  • Moon in 12th: Their emotions are hidden from view. They may be likely to take on everyone else's burdens because they never show they have any of their own. They feel so intensely when alone in their thoughts, and it can be scary for them sometimes. If they open up to you, it's a truly special thing. Their emotions and feelings are like the start of a new ink cartridge: powerful in colour, abundant when written out.
  • Mercury in 12th: They find it very hard to communicate, and probably only feel properly able to to very close friends or online where they can think about their responses. They'll pick texting over verbal confrontation any day. Speeches and arguments are exceptionally hard for them. Midnight conversations with them are beautiful, deep, and unique.
  • Venus in 12th: Love is a hidden gem. They don't often just give their heart to someone. Sometimes they may feel like they should, so can seemingly force themselves into crushes or flirting, but soon withdraw as they realise it doesn't make them happy. Love for them happens in the quiet of their mind, and the arms of their lover, rather than in the public eye. They are also lovers of poetry, reading, and artistic forms which make them think of how they feel themselves.
  • Mars in 12th: They hate to argue a lot. They'd rather work things out without stress or heated emotion. They're also very reserved in sexual affairs, preferring usually to keep the bedroom to serious relationships. If you ever get that far, you'll learn they're deep and intense. This placement may lash out when alone, and will pent up how they feel a lot like Moon in 12th, except it'll usually come out aggressively when alone.
  • Saturn in 12th: They feel so restricted inside. They make their own walls and barriers with their feelings and deeper selves that can stress them out and give them intense worries and stresses. They always feel the need to regulate their dreams and fears, often calling their deeper emotions irrational. Positively, they may tend to hide less of themselves from people.
  • Jupiter in 12th: These individuals no know boundaries deep within them. What they keep inside out of public view is a deep pool of emotion and dreams. They may be extensive dreamers, whether when asleep or awake. Sometimes their fears and anxieties are so strong, they aren't sure how to regulate and manage them.
  • Neptune in 12th: Extreme dreamers. They can often suffer from delusional thoughts of their fears, or being over anxious of parts of life. Neptune is at home here, and is free to gloss over and shroud whatever it wants in mystery and illusion. Someone with this placement may worry and overthink intensely, but never let this out into the open.
  • Uranus in 12th: These people want to revolutionise and change things, but feel unable to do so. They aren't sure how to project their want your change into the world. They can also want to change themselves a lot, and may manifest through several inner mentalities quite quickly to try and align themselves more with their life situations.
  • Pluto in the 12th: Destructive of their inner selves. They constantly change up who they are inside, sometimes without even wanting to. What is hidden inside them is a ball in a china shop. You may find they hide away their emotions on secret blogs or journals. The things they hard away from friends are often intense, which makes it even harder for them to open up.

Wow how do you pick color schemes for your art? They're so amazing

It’s a lot of trial and error and practice but I’ll give some tips!

remember, these are guidelines. I’ve broken all of these on purpose at some point or another. it’s important to just have a good reason and to be aware of it!

  • look up color theory, there’s lots of tutorials and explanations

edit!! I’ll also tack on what @thorsens recommended!

I would suggest for people to check out Josef Albers “Interaction of Color”. It gives a good understanding of how colors work in relation to each other which is very helpful in general. - Thor

  • I go for two contrasting *enough* colors (they don’t have to be exact opposites, but I try to give at least one color of change difference, so like red and yellow can work, but not red and orange or red and purple.)

pink and blue aren’t nessiciarly complete opposites, but there’s not a lot of purple in the piece. There’s enough contrast between the greenish-blue and the bright pink and magenta.

colors close to each other still work, but observe how it changes the mood of the piece!

the peach and yellow and purple work together, but create a softer, calmer tone. This is partially because the colors aren’t as bright, but also because they’re near in both value and color. It make the piece feel cohesive, which was important in this piece as I was highlighting how they interacted and found meaning to the place they were in!

every time lexa says clarke’s name: 3/?

ok but I need more fics where

  • it’s not obvious that it’s mutual
  • they’re not attached by the hip
  • none of their friends expected it honestly
  • one of them has a really rough day and for some reason all they want to do is cuddle the other person but they haven’t done that before?? but it feels like a thing they should be doing.
  • one of them tries to cross a line they haven’t crossed before, like just something small. Hugging for a long time, a touch that lingers, a cute nickname. and it’s weird, right? and a little awkward? but it also feels really nice pls keep doing it.
  • eventually they start acting more cuddly and close in private and it’s not that weird anymore. it’s actually really nice. but hey? does this mean I get to kiss you too or is that a line we don’t cross idk man.
  • one of them calls the other one ‘babe’ in front of their friends and everyone’s like ???? what ?????
  • and they eventually have to dicuss it bc this last month has not been like the last couple of years and we really need to talk.
  • they have a really nice talk about it but now what? do we just kiss? do we go on a date? how do you do this?
  • their first kiss is so awkward because they don’t know how to do this.
  • and at first their friends are very worried because what if it doesn’t work out? everything has changed? and of course they’re happy for them but it’s also so risky.
  • and even though it’s a little awkward at first it does work out, because they actually fit pretty perfectly once they get the hang of it.
The Rogue Squad Texting
  • Jyn: Literally 95% emojis. Mainly the knife and the tiny devil. She justifies it by saying that the team has so many native languages they should communicate with the universal thumbs up emoji.
  • Chirrut: Has Baze read the others' texts for him. Wierdly enough always understands exactly what point Jyn is trying to get across with sentence like "space ship, star, fire, cry face, thumbs up."
  • Baze: Full sentences. Always proper grammar and periods. Gets irritated when his kids don't immediately text him back to let him know they're OK.
  • Bodhi: Indecipherable acronyms and pilot jargon. Makes up for it by using a Lot Of CAPITALISATION and !!!! punctuation ????
  • Cassian: One of those people who literally. can't. text. at. all. His fingers always hit the wrong keys, spellcheck hates him, and something about texting really fires up the space!spanish/common disconnect in his brain. Sometimes just uses Google translate and sends crappy translations for his work stuff. Also can't keep track of who he's texting. 90% of the embarrassing things he's every done involve sending texts that should have ONLY EVER BEEN SEEN BY JYN to work colleagues. But it also means that he gets mixed up and sends super villains messages like "can you pick up eggs and milk gracias te amo :):)

i made a rito designed after a sparrow! this isn’t mentioned in his little bio, but his favorite thing to do is skydiving. he just goes up somewhere high… and falls. he flies before he hits the ground, but he never fails to give his friends tiny heart attacks. he also doesn’t like sleeves because of a certain incident involving my friend’s oc, so you’ll hardly ever see him wearing any sleeves

So I just dyed my hair- work is cool with it. I get lots of compliments (it came out a really nice blue!) and lots of people kinda glare disapprovingly (not that I care) but the other day someone GRABBED my hair and said "You shouldn't dye your hair! It's unprofessional." I yelled at them to get off and let go, which they didn't do- they were probably intending to lecture me more- until my manager came over and kicked them out. They're also banned, thank god. What made them think that was ok?!

anonymous asked:

Is it possible to be gender critical without being a TERF? I just feel more and more like gender is just a big divide and conquer scam and it does more harm than good and why can't we just treat everyone as people? And I want to express that feeling but I don't want to hurt trans people because, well, they're people and deserve to be treated well. And I don't want to sound like I want to erase their identities or keep them from transitioning, but also I want to get rid of all gender categories?

Radical feminists certainly aren’t the only ones who believe in dismantling gender! Simone de Beauvoir, the author of The Second Sex, was an existentialist feminist who proposed that women “become” women through cultural, economic, psychological, and social structures rather than women having some intrinsic biological “essence” that makes them women. Her work actually provided the foundation for a lot of different feminist theories - liberal, radical, post-structural, marxist, and psychoanalytic.

The radical libertarian feminists who believe in dismantling gender and instituting a sort of androgynous utopia are different from the radical cultural feminists who essentialize femininity to “empower” women - the former include feminists like Shulamith Firestone and the latter includes feminists like Adrienne Rich and Mary Daly (both of whom are notoriously transmisogynistic).

However, as a marxist and postcolonial feminist, I believe that the abolition of class is not possible without the abolition of gendered and racial hierarchies and oppression. Moreover, a lot of the boundaries between different feminist theories aren’t so immutable - many ideas flow from discourse to discourse. As a marxist feminist I do not think class consciousness/the abolition of class is possible without dismantling white supremacy or patriarchy, because white supremacy, patriarchy, and capitalism reproduce each other and work hand in hand.

Dismantling gender would actually liberate trans people as well, as it would liberate all people. However, there are ways to approach this discourse that can either be transphobic and transmisogynistic (the way many radical feminists approach it) and there are ways to approach it that actually emphasize trans people’s, particularly trans women’s, struggles. Trans women are an oppressed class under capitalist heteropatriarchy. They struggle under the capitalist heterosexualized gender binary in unique ways.

And trust me, many critical trans theorists and writers have already written about a trans politics that seeks to abolish gender too. Gender is an oppressive construct for trans people and it continually reproduces itself to enact violence against trans people and women.

Dismantling gender will help everyone in the long run, but it is impossible to dismantle gender without abolishing class or race! This is where marxists differ from radical feminists - radical feminists believe patriarchy is transhistorical and that the ultimate location of women’s oppression is in the sex/gender system. The sex/gender system certainly does oppress women, but patriarchy is constructed by capital and culture. Radical feminists don’t historicize properly, nor do they employ an intersectional framework in their analysis, which is why their theories are largely inadequate and either exclude or only marginally apply to women of color, nonwestern women, or trans women. So trust me on this - while radical feminists in the 60′s and 70′s published a lot of crucial literature on dismantling gender, they are not the first to posit that gender is socially constructed, and they are not the only ones who believe that it has to be dismantled.

The scrpitwriter of SnBVS is a woman who has worked on a lot of romance dramas so far and she said that the the dance scene in ep. 6 was her favorite. She also spoke of Charioce and Nina as a 'great combination' after describing their character traits, which kind of implies that they've been written that way for a reason. They're both new characters and they're listed as the first and the second on the offical site (while Azazel is the fifth after Kaisar and Favaro) and you never list a villain

cont) of the story in the second place, as the heroes are always listed first. So even if Charioce is portrayed as a villain/antagonist now, it doesn’t mean it’ll stay that way. From all the official materials it seems as if Nina and Charioce were designed as a set. Charioce’s feelings for Nina are still a ‘mystery’ to be revealed according to the official chart. All these (plus the third PV) are enough hints for me to suggest that they’re planned as the canon/endgame pairing of the show.

Right? Even at this point and having said so much I don’t understand why so many people insists on denying something that’s pretty obvious since the beginning, or worse, arrange the scenes at their convenience to prove points that are not true, such as Nina’s transformation and some dialogues.

And adding something to your comment, this is a screenshot of the credits in the eighth episode, where all the characters appeared. The order is: Nina, Charioce, FAVARO, Kaisar, Azazel, Bacchus, Hamsa, Rita, etc. Even in the episodes in which Azazel has more dialogues (episodes 2, 3 or 4) this order doesn’t change, always the first is Nina and the second is Charioce. Not relevant at all but YEAH, here you have!

It’s painfully obvious that the two main protagonists of this season are Nina and Charioce, and the endgame at the same time.

Not only make them always appeared together in the official stuff, it’s as you say, their costumes match with each other, their voices, their personalities and they have an undeniable chemistry, the work put on both characters is great.

The chart is another thing that can’t be underestimated and that many people are actually doing, but things aren’t less clear even with that. Both are the only two characters with two arrows in both directions. I wonder why.

At this point, I said it this many times but I will only let the anime ‘give us the reason’ or otherwise, end up being something totally different, but the fact is undeniable wherever you want to see it. From my point of view: Charioce is indeed the endgame and Azazel was never a love interest

Right now those who advocate for other couples is simply because they like that couple, which is fine, because they’re totally free to like what they want, and I totally support that. The problem comes when they want to impose something on the canon of the story, changing important aspects of the characters and even insulting the authors/characters. And that’s something that I totally disapprove.

BUT OH WELL. What I really want to do is to fully enjoy this story, and the romance that are blooming on these two, we still have a long way to go!

The only one way to go, basically. *wink wink*
