INTP and Problems with Authority
  • Authority figure: "These are the rules and you must follow them"
  • INTP: *thinks: do they not see absurd implications X and Y? they must have at least notices logical fallacy Z, right? this is absolutely ridiculous! I mean rules 3 and 7 essentially contradict each other and 8 could mean anything! like, I see the values they are trying to uphold but this is like the worst and most inefficient way to do so! i'm tempted to stage a mutiny! in fact I should!*
  • Authority figure: "I assume that following these regulations will not be a problem?"
  • INTP: "Of course not" *thinks: getting in trouble seems like a hassle, I'll just use all of these convenient loopholes. who knows, maybe someday revise their idiotic regulations*

“You know what? I don’t necessarily want to shed my Ygritte character. I absolutely love her; I really, really, really did love her. She holds a special place in my heart. I think that’s an obstacle that any actor who’s fortunate enough to work comes across; it’s really making sure that you play characters that vary, and that you’re able to show your range, and do something that’s not predictable.” (Rose Leslie photographed by Sophia Evans for The Guardian)
