One amazing part of VidCon is catching up with or meeting other cool content creators that attend!! And, to my wonderful surprise, a bunch of them had some free time and were up for playing a game with me called Mind Meld!! It was SO MUCH FUN, and I hope you enjoy all of our wonderful attempts to read each other’s minds!

Paid Relationship Study

I’m obsessed with the fake relationship trope and I saw this post and got inspired

“Have you gone insane, Potter?” Draco told his roommate, who was holding up a flyer excitedly in front of him. Written across the top in bold, capital letter said “PAID RESEARCH OPPORTUNITY” and just under than “Romantic Couples Study”.

“What? We’re both over eighteen, we both live together, and we get paid six thousand pounds! That’s three thousand pounds each!” Harry replied, reading off the criteria from the paper.

Draco snatched it from his hand and examined it. “Potter, we are not in a committed, monogamous romantic relationship, nor have we been dating for six months!”

“Yes, but six thousand pounds! You and I both know we need the money. It’s only a two week study, so we just have to pretend to be a couple until it’s over.” He explained. Draco crossed his arms, looking conflicted. It was bad enough that he had to share a house with the guy he fancied, but pretending to be in a relationship with him? Could he go back to being just his friend after this was over? “Come on, Draco.”

The words softened him. Of course he’d do anything for Harry bloody Potter when he was looking at him like that. “Fine.” He gave in, handing the flyer back to Harry. “But you’ll owe me, Potter.” Pointing a finger at him accusingly, Draco walked out of the room.

“More than giving you half of the money?” Harry shouted after him.

“You better buy me a present with your half!” He shouted back, hearing Harry chuckle.

“Oh, Spencer took that one...”

so i read @reidbyers’s ask post about librarians and spencer and while reading it, this sentence caught my attention: “sometimes he takes so many books out that a lot of the time people come in looking for a certain book and they have to be like sorry…spencer took that one and 21 more.” and it gave me an idea/insp for a small little one shot, so thanks @wheresthewater and @reidbyers for unknowingly giving me this idea! also i’m so sorry if this feels rushed!

While studying to get your doctorate in Psychology, you were fortunate enough to have every book you need for all of your classes at your fingertips, whether having your parents supply them for you or finding links to it online. While writing a paper, you noticed the assignment had some references from your very early Intro to Psych book. You realized quickly that you were going to need to go to the library; you had since given that book to a nice underclassman.

You didn’t mind, but occasionally, a book you wanted to check out would be gone and they always said the same thing.

“Sorry honey, it looks like Spencer has that book out at the moment.”

“Well it looks like Dr. Reid has that book.”

“Yup. Spencer again.”

It seemed like every time you needed a book from the library, Dr. Spencer Reid would check it out before you. The three main, kind elderly librarians found it amusing every time you mentioned a book he had checked out. If you didn’t know any better, you’d think they were conspiring against you.

Sighing, you grabbed your shoulder bag and keys and made your way out of your brick brownstone apartment building. “If this Spencer has my book this time, I might just scream…” You muttered to yourself as you walked down the street. Luckily the library was only a few blocks from your place. You could smell the air and could tell it was going to rain. You picked up your pace.

Walking in the large building, you smelled the books and smiled.

“Well hi, baby, what’re you looking for?” Came from Franny, your favorite librarian, knowing your routine by now.

“Hi Franny,” you grinned at her. “Do you have this book?” You handed her a crumbled piece of paper with the title of the book on it.

“Hmm,” Franny entered the title in her desktop and smiled knowingly. “I’m sorry hone–”

“Let me guess,” you rolled your eyes.

“Spencer has it,” you both said in unison. One cheerfully, and one tired. You guess who’s who.

“God, I’d love to give this Spencer a piece of my mind,” you shook your head. “He consistently checks out every book I want and I actually need this one!” You exclaimed.

“What for?” Franny asked.

“It’s my final. Our professor decided against a test final and just gave us a paper final. It counts for over half our grade and I know if I use the material in this book, I know I’ll ace that final…you see, I’m gonna make a callback reference to our intro to psycho book that’s gonna tie up my entire paper in a cute little bow.” You rambled, a bad habit you’ve gained whenever you become desperate for something. “I’m sorry,” you said. “You probably didn’t need to hear this, Franny.” You shook your head. “I’ll just check back tomorrow,” you turned and left quickly.

If you looked back, you’d seen Franny pursing her lips, pick up the phone, and dial a number. “Hi Spencer. It’s Franny. I’m sorry to bother you but I have a need for a book you checked out.”

You chewed on your lip as you walked into the library for the third day in a row. You weren’t expecting the book to be there today or any other day, but you had to at least check. Especially since your paper was due in three days. You inhaled as the familiar smell reached you again, a smile on your face, placating you for the time being. Today at the desk, was Esther, a particularly nosy woman.

“Hi Esther, any luck today?” You asked, already knowing the answer.

“Actually, maybe!” She answered you. “Spencer is coming by today to drop off some books and pick some up, so maybe your book will be in the bunch!” She offered.

You raised your eyebrow. “With my luck, probably not. But I finally get to meet this allusive Spencer.” You took a seat at the bench next to the main desk where the librarians worked and pulled out your laptop. It was a normal seat for you whenever you wanted to spend time at the library.

“Do you want some lemon bars, sweetie?” Esther, the known cook of the three main librarians, placed two lemon bars next to you.

“Thank you, Esther,” you grinned thankfully at her.

Deep into your studies, you didn’t noticed that an hour had gone past or that the other two librarians, Franny and Dorothy snuck in.

“Is he comin’?” Dorothy, with her deep southern accent, asked.

“Yes, Dorothy. He told me he’d be here at 4:15 and that boy never lies to me,” Esther replied, rolling her eyes.

“You sure this is gonna work?” Franny asked, pushing her gray curls aside. “What if they don’t like each other?”

“Fran, those two couldn’t be a better match. My Henry (God rest his soul) told me I had a knack for seeing lovers,” Esther nodded.

“That’s cuz you were always putting your nose in places it shouldn’t be –” Franny began to rebut but was interrupted by Dorothy.

“Shhh, he’s coming!”

Sure enough, walking to the desk was Dr. Spencer Reid of the BAU. Trademark cardigan, scarf, and shoulder bag on. “Hi ladies, is something special going on? It’s rare to see you all here at the same time. Although I get the library’s newsletter sent to me every month and I didn’t see any events happening today to warrant you all here at the same time today.” He began to ramble.

“Oh Spencer, don’t you worry about us,” Franny waved him off.

At the mention of the familiar name, your head popped up.

“I see you’re returning some books. May I check them in for you? Y/N here has been needing one you might have for quite some time now,” Dorothy grabbed the books from Spencer’s hand and slid them over to Esther. “Now leave us old ladies be to check these back in.” She shooed him away.

“So you’re the famous Spencer Reid,” you said as you saw him approach the bench next to you. “I’m not sure if its a pleasure to meet you or not,” you crossed your arms over your chest.

“Excuse me?” Spencer was taken aback. He saw you and blinked. You were beautiful. His mouth went dry, his heart stuttered, he felt a wave of adrenaline rush through him.

You couldn’t help yourself. No matter how good looking he turned out to be, you thought to yourself. The rage built. “Every time I want to check out a book from here, you always have it, every single time! And sometimes you keep the books for months on end!” You huffed.

“Statistically, that’s impossible. There’s no possible way that every single time you need a book, I somehow have it,” Spencer challenged. Your voice sounded beautiful to his ears. He wanted to hear more of it. At least when it wasn’t filled with anger.

“Ladies?” You asked the librarians, without turning your back from Spencer.

“Yup.”

“Mhm.”

“Every single time.” Came their replies.

“…” Spencer had no reply to the three snarky librarians.

“Hmm,” you smirked at Spencer.

“I’m sorry,” Spencer said sincerely. “I didn’t know. If I did, I would’ve eagerly give you the books you needed.” I’d give you anything you want or need, his thoughts said, catching him off guard.

“Oh.” Your heart stuttered. He’s so sweet. And handsome. And obviously he reads since he consistently checks books out from here. And you weren’t expecting this response from him. You were fully expecting him to be this alpha male with a bunch of bravado. “W-well, thank you.”

“What book did you need so urgently that Franny called me?” Spencer couldn’t help but ask, the profiler in him begging to do so. The man in him, curious to hear more from her.

You told him the title. “I need it for my final paper. I-I’m getting my doctorate in psychology and I need it for one of my classes.”

“Spencer has three PhDs,” Esther added, boasting.

“Esther, hush,” Franny smacked her shoulder. “Let the kids do it by themselves,” she whispered to her.

“Three?” You were impressed. “Wow. You’d have to be kind of a genius to have three PhDs.” You said non nonchalantly.

“Well, certifiably, I am a genius. I have an IQ of 185 and can read 20,000 words per minute and have an eidetic memory, but I don’t necessarily like to call myself a genius,” Spencer bashfully said.

“Whoa…” You breathed. “But you’re totally one. A wonderful, brilliant genius,” the statement accidentally slipped out of your mouth and you blushed.

Spencer laughed, blushing as well. “Thank you.”

You and Spencer engaged in small talk during the time the librarians were checking in more books. In the back of your mind, you were wondering why they were taking so long. They never take this long. But in your Spencer filled haze, you didn’t care. You smiled at each other, both of you taking in the beauty of each other’s smiles. You quickly moved your stuff aside for him to take a seat next to you on the bench. He quickly glanced at your laptop and instantly read part of your paper. The topic quickly jumped to psychology which jumped into talking about people’s minds, which, thanks to Spencer, jumped to odd facts. You were amazing by this man and all he had to offer. He had given you some extra facts to put into your paper.

Meanwhile, the librarians were smiling at the two of you, silently cheering you both on. The women had never seen Spencer smile as large as he did with you and you had never opened up so quickly to another person. It took even Esther a few months before you even gave her a smile.

From then on, you and Spencer had a standing date at the library. In your bench. Occasionally Spencer would check out a book you’d randomly mentioned before just to rile you up. He was never able to live down the encounter that caused you to meet. While studying one night, Spencer rushed into the library and planted a kiss on your lips, changing your relationship with that. While he made the first move in your relationship, you made the first move in the bedroom. He was scared of his inexperience and you talked him through it. He proved to be a quick learner and with him reading smut novels for experiences and ideas in the bed, you were never ever unsatisfied.

You both adopted a dog, which you named Esther because of the dog’s keen sense of smell. Esther found it hilarious and promptly kissed you both on the cheek. “About time you named something after me! I’d better get a baby named after me!” She cackled.

The team noticed he was always happier and sometimes would walk in with his hair and ties ruffled. Luke could’ve sworn he saw a hickie on Spencer’s neck during a case. When he asked the boy genius about it, he immediately blushed at the memory.

“I want to try something,” you said shyly one night.

“What?” Spencer smiled, holding you in his lap. He furrowed his brow at your shyness. You’d gotten over that long before.

“I know you have sensory issues, but…I just want you to feel. Don’t think, but feel,” you told him as you wrapped your arms around him.

“I don–” He was cut off by you kissing his neck. He laughed, “Y/N, I have no problem with you kissing my — oh.” He felt a wet vacuum on his neck. He could feel your tongue working on his neck, the feeling new to him. It caused a stirring in his body. The same stirring he got when he was aroused. He couldn’t help himself as he grabbed your face and kissed you.

“Spence, I wasn’t done!” You exclaimed.

Spencer quickly removed your shirt. “And I’m just getting started,” he smiled.

Time passed quickly, yet slowly in your relationship. You were both so happy together. You didn’t know if you could be happier. He had come to your graduation, where you first met the team. They were suspicious and thought he relapsed so they followed him to you. The team loved you instantly. You quickly became a part of the family. JJ and Derek often called you and Spencer to baby sit. You kept your standing date at the library, even though you had no need of studying anymore. The three librarians always happy to see you both.

One day you went to the library to see all of them there. That never happened. Unless, like Spencer said the day you met, there was an event. And you knew there wasn’t. “What’re you ladies doing here?” You asked cheerfully.

“Oh no reason, darlin’,” Dorothy told you, looking like the cat who swallowed the canary. Actually, they all looked like that.

To your surprise, Spencer proposed to you. In that library. On that bench. The squeals from the ladies were deafening. You swore they cheered even louder than Spencer’s team at your wedding. They each made long toasts, the guests confused at first. Esther’s was full of details you both hadn’t known she knew. “Nosy old bat,” Franny had said. Esther had the entire room cackle with laughter. Dorothy’s speech was filled with many, many southern phrasings and accounts of key moments of your relationship which she was witness to. She was always the one you came to during struggles in your relationship. And Franny’s was filled with wisdom, love, and hope. She was the one who orchestrated your first meeting.

No one was surprised, however, when you became pregnant immediately after your wedding; the both of you eager to start a family. Everyone was surprised when your water broke in that fateful library. On your bench. While Spencer panicked and called, in order, the team, then the ambulance. Luckily the three ladies had all enrolled in midwifery quickly after your first meeting and helped you deliver your first child, Diana Dorothy, in that library. On your bench.

You were happy to inform Esther, a year after giving birth to your first son, that his first word was ‘Esther’. “This is better than having a baby named after me!” She hooted.

Unfortunately, with the times, the three ladies eventually passed. Esther first, Dorothy quickly after, then Franny held on long enough to see the birth of your third child, a girl you’d decided to call Francis Esther. In each of the ladies’ will, there was one statement that remained the same. “Give the library bench to Drs. Spencer and Y/N Reid. It has always been theirs.”

That bench sat in the library of your home with Spencer, underneath a beautiful window where you’d told your children stories of the three ladies who were responsible for everything they knew.

accidentalkilljoys  asked:

okay but what if Derek was a hug deliveryman and Stiles ordered a hug

“Stiles Stilinski?”

Stiles looks up, his mouth dropping open when he reaches the pinnacle of stubbled beauty that is the man’s face.

“Oh wow,” he says, “wow, I would not have called the leather.”

“Excuse me?”

Stiles kind of wants to marry his eyebrows. There’s something kind of Bronte about them, dark and brooding, like they could carry him across a windswept moor. He might be wearing a dress in this scenario. He’s comfortable in his masculinity.

“You’re a little later than I was expecting -” he raises an eyebrow, his pause expectant.

“Derek.”

“Derek, right. I am running late for forensics, Derek, so we’ll do the whole getting to know you thing next time, okay?” Stiles pushes his chair back with a hideous screech and regards him for a second. He figures, first time, he should probably go with the clasped hands back pounding bro-hug, only under the leather jacket there’s a forest-green henley that just looks like it smells really good, and Stiles has never been good with temptation. He slides his arms between the henley and the jacket, steps in close, presses himself against body heat and a certain rigidity that melts pretty quickly into Derek’s arms around his back, perfect pressure, snuggly bliss.

Stiles steps back and beams

“That was - shit, perfect. Thanks, Derek.”

“Yeah,” Derek says. He looks bemused, almost dazed. Stiles’d go in for round two only he catches sight of a clock over Derek’s shoulder and swears, slings his bag over his shoulder, runs

*

He honestly does know better than to hang out on Craigslist, Scott, he does, but where can you go wrong with a hug delivery service? That’s like hating puppies, Scott. Why would you hate the puppies?

Scott, sounding frustrated and a little worried and kinda reluctantly amused, insists that he doesn’t hate the puppies.

Right, Stiles agrees, because all of his plans are amazing and a hug delivery service couldn’t possibly be wrong. Right?

It’s so much easier to read agreement into everything Scott says when they’re only calling. There are unexpected advantages to college.

(There’s a weird email, apologising for the mix up at the coffee shop.

Hey, Stiles sends back, I didn’t mind that you were late, no worries. And then, greatly daring, so about getting to know each other…

He honestly does know better than to pass out his actual address on the internet, okay, he does, but… y’know. Puppies.)

Derek’s early.

No leather this time, though, which is thoughtful of him, just a dark red sweater with thumb holes that should possibly be illegal.

“Hey,” Stiles says, eager and happy and grinning all over his face, and this time it triggers a tiny smile in return. “Hey, Derek.”

“Stiles,” Derek says. “Look -”

“Are you okay to do this sitting down, this time?”

Derek’s eyebrows huddle together for warmth (the windswept moors will do that to you) but he doesn’t look exactly averse, so Stiles tugs him by the sleeve towards the sinfully comfortable eyesore of a couch, getting him situated in the corner and then leaning back against him, pulling Derek’s arm around him. He tips his head back against Derek’s shoulder and moans, faintly.

“I swear, Derek,” he says, “you were made for me.”

Derek doesn’t respond. His arm maybe tightens, a little.

(A little while later, halfway into Serenity, Stiles thinks he maybe hears knocking at the door, but frankly he’s in the best damn hug of his life thus far and nothing short of fire alarms is getting him out of it.

Derek huffs into his hair. Stiles is taking that as agreement.)

Laura turns around when the door opens, cocking her head to one side at her brother’s appearance - he’s flushed, and a little rumpled, and almost smiling

“So,” she says, “did you give the neighbor kid the parcel we took in, yet?”

Derek glares at her, eyebrows lowering, a wash of bright color cresting on his cheeks.

“I’m working on it.” The tilting of his mouth looks almost involuntary. “I’ll try again tomorrow,” he says.

“This hotel really is beautiful. I can see why Niall and Emma wanted to have their wedding here.” You thought out loud as you looked around the hotel lobby.

Harry nodded his head as he stared down at his lap, his foot tapping anxiously. You sighed. You had a million and one thoughts going through your mind. You didn’t know how to fit everything you wanted to say in one sentence. So you started with the obvious thing you had to say.

“I’m sorry, Harry.”

Harry took his gaze off his fighting to fingers to look at you as you sat down on the spot next to him. He watched as you played with the hem of your dress. “When you told me you were marrying Kimberly…I cried so hard I thought I was going to run out of tears. When your wedding day finally came up, I remember crying so hard seeing you in your tux ready to marry someone who wasn’t me. But. I think what hurt the most was when you found out about my feelings for you last year…you gave up on us.”

Harry bit down on his bottom lip softly, shame written clearly on his forehead. You glanced at him before you sighed, “You were a married man, Harry. Never would I ever do something that could potentially hurt your marriage. Never would I ever ruin your chance of happiness. Yes. I was in love with you. But I would’ve gotten over it. We could’ve still been friends. You didn’t have to shut me out for a year. You didn’t have to break our birthday tradition.”

Harry closed his eyes momentarily. Harry doesn’t have a lot of regrets in his life, for he thinks that everything happens for a reason, whether it was good or not. However, missing your birthday the way that he did will always be his biggest regret.

“I think all the hurt I’ve felt finally caught up to me. That’s why I said what I did last night.” You stared into Harry’s green eyes before you softly grabbed his hand. “I told you that I was in love with Lucas.” Harry grimaced as he had to hear you say you loved another man for the second time within 24 hours. “But I’m not.” You finished.

Harry’s eyes went wide. He held your hand tighter. “What?” Harry asked. You looked down at your hands holding each other as you rubbed small circles on Harry’s hand with your thumb. “I told you I was in love with Lucas.” You looked up at Harry. “When really I’m in love with you. I don’t think I’ll ever stop being in love with you.”

Harry was quick to close the gap between the two of you. He placed both his hands on the sides of your cheeks as he kissed you. You sighed against Harry’s lips as you kissed him back. Harry pulled away and leant his forehead against yours. “I’m so sorry, Y/N.” Harry whispered. You shrugged your shoulders as you placed one of your hands on top of his. “We both are.”

Emma looked at the entrance. She let out a squeal as she placed her hands on her cheeks. Niall looked at her, a piece of cake stuffed in his mouth, “What?” Emma nodded her head towards the door. Niall looked over and instantly his eyes went wide.

You and Harry walked over to the newly wed couple with your hands interlocked together. Harry leaned in and gave Niall a “bro hug” with his hand still holding yours. “Congratulations you guys! I just-”

“Emma. We’re in an alternative universe. It’s just us. We need to somehow gain control of these foreign creatures and declare land on this planet.” Niall said as he grabbed his wife.

Emma flicked Niall’s head before she turned to you and Harry. “What’s going on, here?” she smirked as she crossed her arms together.

Harry looked down at your hands before he looked back at you. “Just two best friends finding their way back, that’s all.”

You glanced at your hands and smiled. Emma let out a squeal as she pulled you into a hug. Niall let out a puff of air and smiled. He pulled Harry in for another hug and whispered in his ear, “It’s about damn time.”

Harry rolled his eyes playfully before he pulled you back to him. “I know it’s your wedding and all but me and Y/N have a lot to catch up on.” Emma nodded her head as she placed her hand on Niall’s chest. “We completed understand.”

Niall leaned into you and motioned you to come closer. “Make sure you use a condom.” Your eyes went wide before you flicked Niall’s ear. “Niall!” Niall raised his hands up in defense, “You guys have been in love with each other for years! Something’s bound to happen!”

You buried your head into Harry’s shoulder while he chuckled. With one last goodbye and congratulations, the two of you were off.

You had your arms crossed as you were walking around Harry’s still bare apartment. “So you decided to move?” You called out as you stopped in front of the bookcase he had at the side of the room. “Sort of. Kimberly wanted the apartment” Harry said sheepishly from the kitchen. You pursed your lips together as you looked at all the knickknacks Harry had on his bookshelf. You let out a chuckle as your eyes bounced to each item: a tiny statue of a frog, a ring Harry used to always wear when you guys were younger but outgrew (it broke his heart when he couldn’t even wear it on his pinky finger), his name tag from when he used to work at the bakery back home, his polaroid camera.

Your eyes landed on the framed picture of the two of you. You could feel your heart rate quicken. Even though you guys haven’t talked to each other in a year and even though he still had a lot to unpack; Harry still put up a framed picture of the two of you. You looked towards the kitchen and smiled. You shook your head as you stared off into the ground while chuckling.

“Y/N! Harry’s here!” Your mother shouted from the bottom of the stairs. You stared at yourself in the mirror and sighed. You smiled and quickly frowned when you saw your braces. You sighed as you grabbed your backpack and headed downstairs. Harry was sitting at the breakfast table in the new uniform you guys were required to wear in high school.

Your mom placed a glass of orange juice in front of Harry and took her seat. “I can’t believe you guys are in high school already.” You placed your chin in your hand and mumbled, “I can’t believe I’m starting my first year of high school in braces.”

A 15 year old Harry with hair that basically looked like a bird’s nest on top of his head swallowed his food. He patted your shoulders. “I keep telling you that you look fine, Y/N.” Your mom nodded her head as she began to leave the room, “He’s right, sweetie. Everyone gets braces at your age.”

You picked up your fork and began picking at your eggs. “Harry doesn’t have braces.” Harry let out a chuckle as he took a sip of his juice. Your mom came back with a camera and stood in front of you two on the other side of the table. “Come on, before you guys are late. We need to take a picture of your first day of high school!”

Harry leaned in closer to you and smiled. You looked at the camera and smiled a closed lip smile. The flash off and Harry scowled at you. “Love, that’s not a genuine smile.”

You let out a puff of air while you leaned back into your chair. “I don’t want to smile with my braces, H.”

Harry shook his head as he turned his body to face you properly. “Y/N, I think you look beautiful with your braces and I know for a fact that you’ll look beautiful once they come off. Don’t let them hide away that gorgeous smile I love so much.”

Your cheeks were quick to blush. You turned to your mom and let out a mumbled, “Fine. Let’s take another one.”

Your mom smiled as she got the camera ready once more. You smiled, braces in full show. Harry placed his arm around you as he smiled as well.

Through your entire friendship with Harry, he made sure you never questioned your beauty or worth. He was the first boy to ever tell you that you were beautiful. Maybe that’s why you fell for Harry as hard and as fast as you did. Harry was genuine and he was forgiving. He made sure everyone felt welcomed and he made sure everyone knew how much they meant to him. You fell in love with Harry for just the kindness he had in his heart.

Your thoughts were soon interrupted as Harry finally emerged from the kitchen. In his hands was a small muffin with a lit candle on top of it. He was quietly humming “Happy Birthday” as he walked closer to you.

You placed your hand on your mouth as your eyes brimmed with tears. Once the song was over Harry whispered, “To make up for the tradition I broke.” You smiled before you blew out the candle. Harry placed the muffin down on one of the shelves on the bookcase before he pulled you into your second kiss that night.

You and Harry were sitting down on his bed with your backs against the headboard. You had your head resting on his shoulder as Harry had his arm around you, tracing small circles on your shoulder. It was silent for a long time but you guys didn’t mind. What you guys needed right now was each other.

Suddenly Harry’s phone dinged, telling him he got a text message. He grabbed his phone from the night stand and sighed as he read the text. Your eyes glanced over to the screen.

From Kimberly: Don’t forget out meeting tomorrow.

Harry locked his phone before he placed it back onto the night stand. You bit your bottom lip, mentally debating whether or not this was a sensitive topic for Harry. “How did you guys get to the decision to get a divorce?”

Harry sighed as he stared at the wall in front of him.

Harry kicked a rock as he was walking along the sidewalk. He had his hands in his coat pockets as he was looking at the ground. Kimberly kicked him out once again. She claimed that she “needed space from him.”

Ever since Harry found out about your true feelings for him, his relationship with Kimberly started to change. He feels ashamed and disgusted with himself but he couldn’t help it. After knowing how you felt about him, he couldn’t help but question his marriage. That’s when the arguments started happening. Kimberly would yell and accuse Harry of not fully being in the marriage. Kimberly even went as far as accusing him of cheating.

Harry would never cheat on a woman. Ever.

His mother and Gemma always taught him the importance of a woman’s worth. He would never do something so stupid in his life.

But did he cheat? Did he cheat emotionally?

Was he cheating when he couldn’t push his feelings for you aside? Was it cheating when you crept into his mind when he was looking at Kimberly? Was it cheating when Harry would creep on your social medias, wondering if you were taking care of yourself? Was it cheating when the only concern Harry had was whether or not you moved on?

Harry sighed as he sat down on a bus bench. He was staring at every person walking by. Surely everyone was having a better night than he was right now. As he was staring off, his eyes landed on a familiar person. He let out a gasp. His heart rate started to quicken and he could feel butterflies fluttering in his stomach.

It was you.

You were walking on the other side of the street, a bag of takeout in your hands. Harry mentally debated whether or not he should run over and try to talk to you. It’s been three months, would you even want to talk to him?

The first thing he noticed was how long your hair has gotten. He noticed that you had your headphones in. Were you listening to the latest Coldplay song because you loved the band so much? Or were you talking to your mom, telling her about the latest news at work? The next thing he noticed was the bag of food you were holding. Was it just for you? Or were you going to share it with someone that wasn’t him?

As you walked away and your body was becoming smaller and smaller in the distance, Harry couldn’t help but let out a sniffle. His eyes started to water as he came to the realization you were out of his life. Sure he brought this upon himself but after seeing you for the first time in three months, it broke his heart.

“When I saw you that day, I realized that you were the only thing on my mind. I didn’t care that I was in a fight with Kimberly, I didn’t care that I was freezing my ass off on a bus bench. All I could see was you. That’s when I finally realized I was being fair to Kimberly. She deserves someone that would be able to love her properly and I couldn’t do that when you were on my mind.”

You turned your body so that you were sitting in front of Harry. You grabbed his hand. “Do you regret getting married?”

Harry placed his other hand on the side of your cheek. “I regret not marrying you.”

From Harry: Dinner tonight, love?

You smiled as you glanced at your phone on your desk. Your coworker, Olivia, was sitting in the chair in front of your desk. Her eyebrows perked up at you, “Alright. Spill. You’ve been smiling at your phone the entire day. Did something happen last night?”

After texting Harry a quick “yes”, you placed your phone into your desk drawer. “Actually-” But you were cut short as you saw the last person you expected to see, marching up to your desk. You quickly got up, “Kimberly?”

Kimberly walked straight up to you, nothing but venom in her eyes. Through gritted teeth, she said, “Fucking home wrecker.” before her hand collided with your cheek.

eh. i liked how i started this…not sure about how i ended it lol. let me know what you guys thought/ want to see happen next!

anonymous asked:

Peter Parker and soulmate being able to hear eachothers thoughts. So soulmates can communicate before they meet/until they are ready to meet.

You smiled softly as your attention was stolen from the French essay in front of you by the now familiar voice of your soulmate in your mind.

“Eliza Schuyler was the wife of….of…..”

“Alexander Hamilton,” you thought, chuckling as you hummed the tune without meaning to.

“Thanks (Nickname)!” came his voice again. “This history essay’s killing me.”

“Try French,” you thought bitterly, glaring at the half-filled sheet of paper in front of you.

“Non merci,” he replied cheekily. You giggled.

“Need any more help with history?” you asked. “I know Alexander Hamilton like I know my own mind.”

“I know you do, you were singing that musical in your head all day yesterday.”

“Sorry! My friends get annoyed at it too.”

“Don’t be sorry, it was kinda cute.” His voice sounded shy now, and you bit your lip at how adorable he sounded.

You’d been able to hear Peter’s thoughts for a few months now, and every day you could feel yourself falling more in love with him. He was so funny and nerdy, he listened to all your rants and worries, and he was always there if you needed him.

“Hey Pete?”

“Hmm?”

“Do you think we could meet up soon? I…I really like you.”

The silence you were greeted with scared you, and all the horror stories you’d read about soulmates not loving each other or people being assigned the wrong soulmate came rushing to the front of your mind.

“I really like you too, (Y/N). We could meet up today? Unless you want to finish your French work, because I don’t mind when-,”

“Today would be great,” you thought, a grin spreading across your face as you shoved your work away from you.

“When and where?”

cold isn’t the word to describe the chill caressing your bones. not even fucking close. freezing, could be decent enough but still, not really. you don’t want to walk to catch the train, you’re begging God to miraculously will a bus to course this street or your friend Tristan to have worked a late shift, but you face a truth harder and colder than the 5 AM air: he never takes the night shift.  It’s always something about the uneasiness that creeps up his spine when someone walks through the entrance past 4 AM. Is it illegal to crave a short stack at that hour?

the trek is just as creepy as it was yesterday, and the 3 years before that you’ve been working at the mom and pop diner and taking the late night shifts. the journey never changes, just the amount of death you wish upon yourself between the change of seasons. “goodnight Melina, see you Monday.” you call behind you, exiting the back door. the dark alley set before you sent a whole new line of chills up your spine. mom always warned you that the dark can be murderous.

the memory of her vice-like grip that used to run through your hand as she picked you up late from the babysitter when you were little, always tingled when you walked someplace shrouded in black. It was like she was there with you, without the embarrassing “be careful, baby!” she’d shout after you if you’d stray a little too far. she knew you’d be fine. you were just like her in every way, so she was never scared for you.

Another mundane day has come to pass, your best friend’s arm slung over your shoulders as you soak up the blinding sunrays on your skin. The sun pressed harsh kisses on your delicate skin, a definite burn accompanied by heavy sweating was just the peak of your day. You could barely remember the words of your professor, zoned out and ready to slump into your couch for two days.

Anthropology was fun when you still had your first year jitters, excited to be in university and getting a degree in something you loved. Now, a few weeks into your second year, you wished the years would just pass by.

Distracted by your internal monologue, you barely caught the bus on time, the driver ready to zoom through traffic and you waved your hand out wildly to catch his attention. You stumbled into a seat, the bus moving no less than a second after you got on.

Mindlessly watching the street signs while numerous people leaving and entering the bus, you get off at the stop near your house. You kick off your shoes, dropping your bag on the shoe rack and you heard a broken sob.

“Mom? Dad?” You went into the kitchen, followed by a set of sniffling before going into the living room. Your father held your mother in a consoling way, her hands clinging onto his red sweater. She grabbed a tissue and blew into it.

“Mom? Why are you crying? What happened?”

     “I will shoot you. Bitches.”

Dean’s gruff voice caught your attention as you entered the little restaurant, memories of the strange white van parked outside still floating in your head. Ghostfacers, it had said. Why did that sound so familiar? You shrugged and ignored it, searching out the source of Dean’s voice.

“Hello boys,” you said sweetly, walking up to the table where the Winchesters were sitting and placing your hand on Dean’s shoulder. “Are you gonna introduce me to your little friends?”

Sam and Dean both scowled, practically growling at the people sharing their table. The two men beside them - each squished between a wall and a Winchester – grinned like children.

“I’m Ed,” the one beside Dean said, extending his hand to you. “And this is my partner Harry.”

“We’re professional paranormal investigators,” Harry cut in. He tried to push past Sam and ended up standing behind the table, getting as close to your face as he could manage with the younger Winchester blocking him. “No big Deal,” he drawled. His tone was a painfully humorous attempt at casual.

“Sit down, Ass-hats,” Dean growled, shoving Ed back into his seat.

You pressed your lips together and tried not to laugh, watching the men you now assumed were the Ghostfacers with amusement. “So, you’re professionals, huh?”

     “Yes, yes we are.”

“But don’t worry, pretty lady,” Harry leaned back and pulled up his shirt, flashing some skin and the white handle of a tiny handgun. “You’re safe with us.”

Dean threw his hands up. “Oh, for the love of -”

“Great! Shall we go, then?” You smacked Dean in the shoulder to silence him. You could practically hear his eyes rolling. “We have a body waiting for us at the morgue, you guys could give us your professional opinion.”

Both Ghostfacers went silent. You couldn’t help the smile that spread across your face.

     “B-body?” Harry stuttered.

Ed kicked him under the table. “Sure, we can … do that.”

You smiled and turned on your heels, gesturing for them to follow. You knew you were going to get an ear-full when you got back to the Impala but you just couldn’t resist teasing them, the Ghostfacers videos you’d seen years ago floating to the front of your mind.

As you walked away you heard the thump of Ed and Harry smashing into each other, Dean pushing them back as they tried to run after you.

“Don’t even think about it,” he growled.

You sat on the fire escape of your family’s’ small apartment. You were reading some bright, blocky coloured magazine, enjoying the fresh air. Loud tinny footsteps lifted your eyes as you saw Bev making her way up to you.

You smiled, and she gave you a small one back, eyes flickering up to her home, one level above yours. She hesitated on climbing higher.

“Your old man left not long ago” you informed her.

She looked at you, then thought, and then returned your smile in full.

“Must have gone to the store” she decided, sighing.

She sat with you, tittering away into the evening. Talking about each other’s days. “It was pretty great” she said, referring to her day at the Quarry with the Losers. In all honesty, they didn’t sound much like losers at all.  Pretty cool actually. “I’m sure that if I bring a plus one, no one’s gonna mind, especially if it’s you” She hinted. You didn’t get it. “You should come next time!”

So I just finished Damien’s route and I loved it and it was adorable so here have a cute au:

  • Mary and Damien have known each other since they were young children. Their parents were friends so they often ended up having play-dates together. But since they came from very “traditionalist” (read: bigoted) families, they ended developing a very tight bond over their shared fear of their parents ever finding out they’re trans and poly, respectively
  • The day Damien (the younger of the 2) turned 18, they left their small-minded little town together and never looked back
  • It was difficult at first, with no college education and working two part-time jobs each to pay rent. But they were able to power through it. Together they were able to put Damien through school.
  • Damien even meets a pretty sweet guy in his last year of college. They hit it off real well. But after a year or so of dating, he starts pressuring Damien to start “acting more ladylike” and to “hurry up and get over this tomboy phase”. Mary is having none of this, so she packs them both up and they hit the road once again.
  • It’s easier this time, with Damien having his degree and Mary having experience as a secretary at a vet clinic. The two arrive in Maple Bay, where they end up settling down.
  • Mary is there to support Damien when it turns out he’s pregnant.
  • For the first three years of his life, Lucien calls her “mom”.
  • When Mary meets and falls in love with Joseph, she says a great big “fuck you” to social norms and has Damien as her best man at her wedding.
  • Damien is totally godfather to both Chris and Crish
  • (Robert is the twins’ godfather)
  • When MC and Amanda move to the neighborhood, Mary sees Damien’s smitten expression at the backyard barbecue when he first lays eyes on MC, and she decides to keep a close eye on the two
  • Mary also sees the way MC looks at Damien, and relaxes, knowing that this is him. He’s the one they’ve been waiting for. She listens to Damien gush about their dates, and is super proud of her sweet boy when he tells her how he was able to sit through an entire horror movie without fainting.
  • She listens to Damien worrying about what MC will think when it comes out that he’s just “some boring it worker”, and she starts sharpening her hatchet in preparation. But then she sees MC’s expression when he sees Damien that day at the shelter. And she relaxes, because he’s shocked, but he’s still just as smitten as always.
  • The three are inseparable after that, and when Mary meets MC’s daughter at her graduation party, the last of her fears are put to rest. Amanda’s a charming, mischievous little imp of a girl - she’s rebellious, but it’s clear how much she adores and respects her father. Any man who could raise such a beautiful person would be a good influence on Lucien.
  • With MC’s help, Damien is also eventually able to convince Mary to leave her toxic marriage. She and Joseph part on relatively amicable terms. They have joint custody of the kids. Mary ends up moving in with Damien and Lucien temporarily.
  • After a few months of hemming and hawing, Mary and Robert get their act together and…get together.
  • For Damien and MC’s first anniversary together, MC enlists in Lucien’s help to find a breeder with hypoallergenic dogs that Lucien is okay with. They end up coming home with an adorable little maltese terrier puppy. Damien starts crying when he sees it.
  • When Amanda’s first summer back from uni rolls around, she’s noticed that her father spends basically all her time at Damien’s home. So she just rolls her eyes and tells them to “hurry up and move in together already!”
  • There’s a lot of stammering and blushing and eventually they agree
  • Lucien tries very hard not to show how happy he is. It doesn’t work.
  • Mary ends up buying MC’s old home, and she and Robert live there together, with her kids over every other week.
  • Lucien, a year younger than Amanda, has just finished high school. He’s not quite as ambitious as his new sister. He likes his life in Maple Bay, in his tight-knit little community with all his friends and family. He ends up attending a local community college instead of going away for university.
  • Lucien and Amanda become thick as thieves. In the four months Amanda is home for summer vacation, they get up to a lot of mischief, along with Ernest. But Amanda’s steady sense of responsibility keeps the boys from doing anything too outrageous.
  • During Amanda’s second summer home from uni, MC and Damien finally get married. Mary is Damien’s maid of honour, and Craig is MC’s best man.
  • Amanda and Lucien, despite repeated protests that they’re waaaay too old for it, end up being the flowergirl and ringbearer respectively. (Their fathers had offered to have either Mary’s twins or Craig’s twins do it - both had staunchly refused and jealously guarded their coveted positions).

(Y/n) (Y/l/n) and Dean Winchester

And even if his feelings were all to clear to him there still was a thing he could learn for sure: Your true feelings about him.

The sites appeared in front of him, ready for him to choose any of them. His eyes focused slightly on the photos that first came into view of the two of you. They seemed to be high quality and he actually remembered the scenery they were depicting. Until he realized it: it was from actual episodes of Supernatural. There was also one of the two of you really close to each other, faces only inches away and he searched in his mind to remember when that had actually happened.

Unless it was about to happen?

Dean shook his head, clenching his jaw to fight away the second thoughts. He needed something more true, more sure and not what his hopeful mind made up because of his heart. He decided to click on the first link that came up. It was about a site with the “(Y/n) and Dean” tag and several powts there from different people, pointing out their opinions and others posting pictures. He once more saw that photo of the two of you close to each other but he just scrolled past it, reading on the small posts. Most of them were about things he had taken notice of himself, during his everyday life and, well, the episodes they saw.

There was one thing people pointed out the most and that was the looks you would give him when he was not looking.

Masterlist + Request here!

James Potter was proving once again how he was one of the most annoying people you have come to know as he made it a point to interrogate you while you tried to go to your next class which was History of Magic. And although an unpopular opinion, you actually liked that subject that you couldn’t afford to be late — but because of his constant questions, it was impossible to walk as fast as you can to the classroom.

With a stomp of your foot, you stopped walking that made him sigh in what seemed like relief.

“James, I need to get to class. So please pester someone else.” you pleaded.

He shook his head. “But Y/N! You haven’t even answered my question. I’ve been repeating it the whole way and you keep avoiding it.”

“How many times do I have to tell you? I don’t like Sirius that way!” you exclaimed louder than planned, gaining a lot of attention. “Look, I know what you’re trying to do. You’re playing matchmaker because you and Lily just got together but come on.” you threw your hands up in expiration.

At the mention of his girlfriend’s name, you saw his cheeks turn a light shade of red.

“Er — it’s not like that, it’s just — oi! Moony!” he looked right behind you to point at another boy who was also included in your circle of friends. “You got to help me, mate. Y/N needs to realize that she and Sirius are meant to be.” he held onto Remus’ shoulder once he walked over.

Judging from Remus’ expression, it was obvious that he was trying hard not to laugh at how determined and desperate James sounded.

“Remus, please tell me you’re actually siding with me this time and not with Prongs.” you turned to him.

He finally let out the laugh he was trying to supress. “Sorry, Y/N, but I’m just glad I wasn’t the only one seeing it.”

“Oh, you got to be kidding me!” you groaned. “But okay, fine, think what you want to think. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I am really running late for —”

“History of Magic?” Remus guessed. “You might be forgetting but you have that class with James, me, and —”

“Sirius.” James finished while wiggling his eyebrows.

You wore a horrified expression on your face at the realization and you abruptly slapped them both on the chest quite hardly.

“Blimey, Y/N. What was that for?” James complained as he dramatically rubs his chest.

You narrowed your eyes on the both of them. “If you say something, I won’t hesitate and slap you. On the faces.”

Both of them mockingly raised their hands up in surrender before laughing, making you roll your eyes and finally head to the direction where the History of Magic classes where held.

You couldn’t help but be preoccupied all of the sudden because of the possibility of falling in love with Sirius Black. Well, yes, you indeed found him attractive, but who didn’t? He was funny, charming, not to mentiom very handsome in your opinion, and he made you happy which seemed to be the thing that you liked most about him …

“Y/N, over here!” Sirius waved his hand maniacally to make you look at him. When you did, he gestured to the empty seat beside him which undoubtedly was yours.

You blushed involuntarily and marched towards him slowly, placing your books on the desk while James and Remus sat down behind the both of you, now whispering to each other which made you glare at them momentarily.

“What’s going on with those two?” Sirius nodded at yours and his best friends, noticing how they were now snickering.

You shrugged. “Probably something to piss Snape or whatever.” you murmured.

It was a good thing that Professor Binns didn’t mind that the three of you were late because since it was only the second week since classes began, he urged that the students would get on with some reading first before discussing. You could see that he was scribbling some notes on the parchment in front of him with a book wide open beside it. You started wondering if you should prepare for a test in case he was planning it but in the same time —

“Why is your face so red?” Sirius whispered and when you turned to look at him, your faces were only centimeters apart.

The small distance between the both of you also made Sirius surprised that he moved away a little bit.

You felt your heart rate quicken.

“I-I don’t know what you’re talking about.” you flipped your hair over your shoulder, fanning yourself abruptly with your free hand. “Wow. It’s quite humid today, isn’t it?”

Sirius chuckled, “Humid or you’re just really nervous?”

    Remus and James snickered again.

“Why would I get nervous?” you demanded at the boy beside you.

“I don’t know but something tells me it’s got something to do with Moony and Prongs.” he shrugged.

“Hmm?” James popped his head at the space between your shoulders. “I heard my name.” he whispered just as Professor Binns lifted his head momentarily to scan the room.

You stared him down. “You don’t have business here so can you just —”

James ignored what you were saying and started to talk to Sirius. “You know, Padfoot, I have a theory that I think you might agree to.”

“Potter, I’m warning you.” you spoke through gritted teeth, making sure thay it was only James who would hear.

Sirius seemed interested in what James had to say because he smirked. “Oh, really? Does it involve our precious Y/N over here?”

You swore something sparkled in James’ eyes (mischief, probably) at the mention of your name. “Definitely. Want to hear the theory?”

“No, he doesn’t.” you quickly said.

Sirius glanced at you. “Yes, I do.” he copied your tone.

“James,” you warningly stated, “remember what I told you earlier.”

He gave you a nasty grin. “Why so tense, Y/N? If it’s not true then you’re totally okay with me saying — wait, I know that look, you finally realized it too, didn’t you?”

You blushed yet again, recalling the thoughts you just had before entering the classroom.

"Yes, okay, fine, I did. So don’t do it.“ you pleaded.

Sirius sighed dramatically. "Can you two stop being so vague?”

You and James shared a look and you still asked him not to do it with your eyes. He was biting his lower lip, obviously deciding whether not to tell Sirius or not. Sirius, on the other hand, was impatiently gazing at the both of you waiting for an answer.

Before you could process everything, Remus suddenly joined the conversation and clasped Sirius’ shoulder, telling him the words you were dreading to hear.

"Sirius, we think that you and Y/N are meant to be. And judging by her reaction, she thinks so too.“ he said solemnly.

You widened your eyes, furiously blushing at that moment. Your hand was clutched on your book, contemplating on throwing the book on Remus’ face, but it was Sirius’ calm voice that made you decide against it.

"Is that so, Moony? Well, in that case, I couldn’t agree more.”

And with that, the book that you were holding dropped on the floor with a loud thud, everyone’s eyes on your table while Sirius gave you a wink before turning away like nothing happened.

“Have you thought about who to approach first?” Your attention drawn to the woman up front, as the food arrived for the early mornings of a foggy city. Jane invited you to brunch for the time being, wanting to hear more of the program you had been attending for four years.

“I never thought of it…I think all of them would be too… shocked to see me? If that makes sense…” You muttered, thinking of the possibilities of meeting just ONE of the boys, was too scary enough of a thought. To be fair, you were close with all of them and there wasn’t any favourites. “How do I even see them in the first place?”

Here’s your request, I don’t know if it’s any good but hope you’ll like it ! (Oh also, #3.being sickeningly affectionate with each other SOMEWHAT A BIT NSFW) :

_______________________________________________________________________

You heard them coming in, but you couldn’t care less. And given the fact that your Bruce was still kissing you, he obviously didn’t give a damn either.

It was too perfect to stop. You rarely had time where things could be like that.

Your husband had a day off, and you called in sick just to stay with him, the occasion too good to pass on. You had a wonderful morning together, staying in bed late, enjoying each other’s presence, talking about anything and everything, making love a lot. When you finally got out of bed, you didn’t bother to dress nicely as usual. You both just put on sweat pants and a hoodie, and, hands in hands, went to get your late breakfast.

Your sons were there, and when they saw the both of you coming in, giggling like idiots because their father was tickling your sides lovingly, they all sighed. Oh, that was one of those days uh ? One of those very rare days where you and Bruce didn’t have to worry about anything because things for once went alright, one of those very rare days where you’d almost turn into conjoined twins because you wouldn’t let go of each other for a seconds. One of those days where you grossed out your children on a regular basis.
