they were perfect as always

I would just like to emphasize - especially after watching the proshot - the fact that Anthony Rosenthal is TWELVE YEARS OLD.
He is such a phenomenal actor! His expressions were always so perfect - just the right mixture of noticeable and comical without being so “cutesy” or exaggerated. Even when he wasn’t singing and the camera would pan ban to him, he /never broke character./
And during Father to Son!!!! How was he able to look so authentic in his heartbreak and anger??? And esp during act 1, he played the wild child so well without being annoying and his voice is so soothing and he articulates his words so very well even during the fast parts where he has to almost blurr his words together.
AND DURING CANCELLING THE BAR MITZVAH AND ANOTHER MIRACLE OF JUDAISM, WHEN HE LOOKED ON THE VERGE OF TEARS HOW DOES A LITTLE KID DO THAT??? And my favorite part of him: His nervousness during Jason’s Bar Mitzvah. Like g o d, punch me in the face
Anthony played Jason’s immaturity and anger and devastation and denial /so/ well.
And he is /twelve years old./ Jesus, watching the proshot, I feel like one more Falsettos actor was robbed at the Tony’s than you think.

Summary: Reggie Mantle grew up protecting what he loved.

I miss you.

You received the text on the first day of school, the instant your baby pink ballet flats maneuvered within the halls of Riverdale High, which were marginally filled with mayhem from everyone’s first day jitters.

Well, not everyone. You, despite your extra pretty face, extra shiny curls, and extra preppy outfit, wore a heavy façade that drooped lower than the Maybelline Fit Me-concealed eye-bags that were situated below your unexplained, cheery eyes that tried to greet everyone with much positivity as possible. As everyone knew your perfect reputation, the happy-go-lucky cheerleader that everyone admired and loved since the day you entered high school. It was never tarnished, so you refused to let a silly break-up move it at all.

You took out your phone and shakily gazed down at the message. It was sent in clear, with no emoji’s or silly grammatical errors. Your nervous fingers moved for you, but your brain was being silly that day and it had no planned response for the text message.

A wave of students accidentally crossed and one of them partially collided against your hardly five feet tall physique, which was a thankful jolt that rattled you off from replying to the text message. You squeezed the iPhone tightly, bearing no mind of the glittery fake diamonds from the phone case bearing harsh indentions against your palm.

The moment you were able to fix your locker and lock it behind you, you immediately set off to find a seat in the gym—hoping that an early departure from the first day madness would create a false sense of comfort from your inevitable fate, which was meeting your ex-boyfriend again subsequently after a summer of trying to forget all about him.

Everyone had always said that you were perfect for Reginald Mantle.

You were a girl blessed with your father’s dominant sloped nose and your mother’s graceful and tiny, ballerina body. Being the only child meant being under the revolving gaze of your mother and father’s watchful eyes twenty-four/seven, and you grew up to be accordingly limpid; yet, at the same time pretentious for you were the heir of one of the wealthiest families in Riverdale.

Reggie was a boy meant for you even before you knew what he was supposed to be. He was a constant person in your life, a fixture caused by your parents and his parents’ meddling. Though, despite your unending play times together and a hired tutor that taught you and him up until you were in middle school, Reggie and you grew up in different paths, in different aspects.

You and Reggie were in the opposite sides of the spectrum. Nevertheless, you were inexplicably drawn to him. He was exactly the same as you, but as the same time, so, so different.

He was difficult to figure out. He had pushed children off swing sets and had hogged all the toy cars to himself as he disliked sharing. You hated the smirk on his face when he teased his inferiors, and still you loved him when he kissed you goodnight. He’d hold you in the softest way possible, muscled arms entrapped around you with touch as light as a feather, and similarly he’d used the same arms dangerously with heated intent at someone else.

You never got why people often told you that he was perfect for you. He was, in your point of view, a mixture of positives and negatives. He was your opposite.

The thing about opposites was that when a unity occurred, it would be a co-existent dependency that held itself with tension.

You loved him more than he loved himself. That was probably the reason why the balance wasn’t right and he pushed himself off, leaving you in the dust.

“Are you alright?” Surprisingly, Cheryl Blossom would be the first person to question you that today. The said Blossom stood above you, her red curls down the right side of her chest, a hand on her hip and a raised eyebrow. You tried to hide the flinch that came with Cheryl’s edged tone, but she assumingly noticed it since she took it herself to sit next to you on that noisy lunch table.

“Talk to me,” she demanded. “I don’t want anyone on my squad to be sadder than my supposed star quality. You cannot rain on my parade on this week’s performance.”

“I’m fine,” you muttered as you picked on your salad.

“[y/n], a stupid boy doesn’t have the right to state your mood status.” She hissed. “There are 7 billion people in the world. God knows how much boys will there be after your life post-Reggie Man—“

“Damn, Cheryl,” You stood up. “I said I’m fine!”

Your words were a little too loud, and laced with anger. The whole open-lawn cafeteria went into a full pregnant pause from your little burst and your eyes betrayed you as it went to a familiar face that you couldn’t just let go off. His smirking, never ceasing, hardly-caring face wavered slightly as he looked your way, as everyone had. He looked down once before pushing his left foot off benched on the seat and faced in the opposite direction, going back into a conversation with Chuck Clayton.

You couldn’t care less what that meant and you sped off from your table, grabbing your cellphone with you. Opening the text message up on your interface, your quivering fingers typed out a reply before hitting send.

“I thought you said I couldn’t see you again,” the tall and handsome boy chuckled as he sat coolly on the stools that they had in Pop’s. His tousled, brown waves would shine into a blondish side under the neon lights of Pop’s infamous signs, and his pretty blue eyes would turn your messy head into a complete haze of white noise. “I missed you,” Jackson voiced out, echoing what he had recently texted you that morning.

It was seven in the evening, and mostly everyone had this night tacked to watch the last screening due for the closing Midnight Drive-In. You had thought to go but you knew that it would simply be another place that would haunt you again with memories that happened in the arms of a familiar stranger.

“I couldn’t resist,” you whispered zealously, biting your lip, then striding towards him until both of your faces had no space with each other. He kissed back passionately, and you followed along in accord, ignoring the way your heart bleated in a monotonous fashion, like it was a routine you followed every morning. Fingers tracing down his rugged, jean jacket, you stopped as it went to a tracing on his arm. A tattoo of a dangerous serpent.

“Watch it,” he pushed himself off you and went to slip down his sleeves. “Any good ‘ole folk wouldn’t wanna see that snake on a young thing’s skin.”

“A young thing, huh?” You titled your head, letting him caress your cheek. It made you feel like being touched by an intruder. You held your tongue from stating that out loud. “I heard that your buddies are over at the drive-in tonight.”

“—yeah,” the handsome, rugged boy agreed, holding your hand like a whisper. “But you’re much better than any movie, let’s agree. Pretty and innocent [y/n][y/l/n].”

“If my father saw you with me,” you told him with a trace of a smile hinting on your lips while leading the boy down to a booth. “He would freak,” you ended with a pendulous but crude smirk, as the feeling of going behind your parents’ back often created a brilliant feeling of teenage rebellion.

However, the light that would go unperturbed that night beneath the luminescence of you with the boy from the Serpents would go back unlit as a sudden burst of unexpected customers walked in the empty Pop’s.

It was a famous group of blue and yellow hues, the king, the boy in between the boisterous and rowdy laughs, and you couldn’t help but shake as his eyes immediately turned toward the serpent and your contumacious self.

“[y/n]?” Reggie Mantle took it upon himself to breeze through the rows of booths with a face of disbelief, his voice rising. And as you expected, anger rising as his comical face slowly slipped to stone cold when his eyes landed on the lingering fingers of the serpent teenager on your arm. “Who the hell is he?”

“Fuck off, Reggie,” you glared, bringing yourself to whisper to your current partner beside you, “Ignore him.” You tried your best to act a casual as possible, though the sudden racing of your heart that went with the way your ex-boyfriend stared at you in a mix of hardening confusion and indignation.

The other football players were left in a fit of widening eyes as Reggie, in impulsion, went and grabbed your arm in fury, “I’m taking you home.”

And it was a laughable scene, provided that you have been in witness in a circumstance like this before; on the contrary, you were always behind him before, supporting him like a good girlfriend. Until now.

Reggie showed the chaos within him through the bones between his knuckles—several scars made proof of that. Now, you were his enemy, the one that caused the fire beneath his eyes. The booths made a guarded ring.

“What the hell, man—“ The serpent boy scoffed before Reggie snapped and gripped and landed a good punch with no regret on the other boy’s face. That started a full-blown fight, which lead pandemonium where Moose, Chuck, and several others hurriedly tried to pull the Asian off the other boy. Reggie’s blows were pernicious, and over the yells of the football team trying to stop the fight, the only thing you could do was watch everything in horror.

“—fighting on public property, what on earth caused you to do that?!” And Mrs. Mantle let out a startled shriek and tried to shield her son as Mr. Mantle gave a tumultuous slap on Reggie’s already bruising face. You gripped your jacket, feeling the cotton and thinking of it as abrasive as hooves, guilt going off you in waves as the only thing you could do was watch the aftermath unfold in the Mantle estate, where you had been protectively ushered off to with your parents and Sheriff Keller due to Pop’s emergency dial.

“This is getting out of hand,” Reggie’s father continued, a harsher than stern look on his purple face. Yanking back his hand, his gaze shot to you, which you couldn’t bear to hold longer than a second. “This boy has been nothing but trouble this year—I swear, this was the last straw, Reginald. I need to ship him to board—“

“It was my fault,” you found your voice, hurried and not gentle at all—willing to cross out the guilt killing your tightening chest. Your parents’ tension-heavy faces whipped their heads to you, their protected daughter that could hardly do no wrong in this world. “I came there with Jackson—“

“No, I fought him, she had nothing to do with th—“ Reggie hastily claimed, harsh and scarily void of emotion. He was seemingly too callous from responding to his father—and you had realized that this could have been happening more so than none and that this boy could have grown up this way, and while your heart was pouring from hearing him protect you, you knew that it was your call to turn things around.

“No,” you squeaked, hearing yourself panic. “I guess I was being rebellious, I met up with Jackson, and – and- “ You eyed your father. “He was with me and Reggie saw me and Jackson did something and he got provoked,” you finished, lying. You looked at Reggie, and he gazed at you, turmoil and hurt swirling in his eyes.

That led to a tension-filled silence. You closed your eyes, and could hear the sounds of Reggie’s father’s footsteps going off to a direction. Somewhere that’s not here, of course.

“Sorry, that shouldn’t have happened,” he would tell you days later, smirk latched to his lips like a boy to a candy bar. He’d say it would no feeling, no emotion, as if he wasn’t someone that was in what happened and he was merely a person who’d heard of what happened.

The memory of his father slapping him because of you would haunt you forever, and your eyes would wander to his cheek not due to any romantic purpose, but the ache of wondering how much it hurt to protect you, a person he shouldn’t even be caring for anymore.

“I’m sorry,” you ignored his first statement, and spat out what you needed to say. The hallways were empty. “I was being petty. I wanted to—“ The words were dignified to be stated out in the open. “I wanted to forget about you.”

His silence mocked you. The 6’3 handsome and usually word-y jock—the boy you really, just really, really loved, gazed at you as if your turbulence, though with a slip of concern on his façade. You continued, lips burning with words you only imagined you would say in a dream, “You hurt me, Reggie. I hated you for making me spend a summer without you. So, yeah. I did something. I slept with that douchebag, that serpent, just to forget about you. So, fuck you.”

The response was instant. An utter storm shadowed over his face. “Fuck me? Fuck me? Are you fucking kidding me?” His fingers wrapped tightly around his coifed hair, eyes blazing with chasms of void and anger. “The only thing I ever did was goddamn protect you! If you hadn’t been so stupid, you wouldn’t be in this mess. I shouldn’t have protected you from the start if it was going to lead this way.”

“Protected me from the start?” You questioned, beckoned with hatred.

“Yes! I’ve always been protecting you. I love you, [y/n]. So much. The reason I ended things is because you were going to end up broadcasted on this shitty book and—“ Reggie sighed and you looked at him confusingly. He stepped forward, “Look, last year I was in hell. My dad caught me doing some stupid shit and he was going to blame it on you. I needed to protect you, it was instinct. I had to break up with you because I couldn’t bear the guilt that—“

This time, it was your turn to slap him. Reggie snapped his head back at you, shocked.

“You stupid jerk,” your body shook from relief and at the same time, numbness. “You couldn’t have at least told me about that? I literally cried for a week because I thought I wasn’t good enough for you, the great Reggie freaking Mantle.”

Reggie stared at what only could have been eons, before shaking his head and returning a soft gaze that was only for you. “I’m sorry.”

You could shake your head as he placed out his warm hand next to yours, swirling and wrapping it around yours in the gentlest way possible.

It was an epiphany, when you looked at him and you had finally seen a glimpse of an extent that he would do for you. The balance was off and you had thought of it in the wrong way.

He loved you more than he loved himself.

omg i’m so sorry. whenever i write i’d always get so carried away with excessive details and annoying character musings!!! please tell me what you think! feel free to reblog or like or message me! always open to hear what you guys think huehue. :)

There was an underlying excitement that was flooding underneath your skin as you walked into the building. It wasn’t your first time being here but you always felt the exact same each time. There was something about walking into the BigHit building that made you hold yourself differently. It was because of Jungkook that you came so often. He had invited you to come down to the studio and spend the day with him while he practiced.

Jungkook and you went to the same school, but you were in a class younger than him, so it was hard to try and spend time together. He was barely at school because of interviews and other things for the company he worked with. That was why on your weekends you would come down to the studio and watch him practice or hang out with him for a few hours.

It was normal for you now, as you two had been dating for almost a year. The staff almost knew you by name and welcomed you in as if you were just like the other workers there. As he had come back from promotions you were finally able to see him, but he was stuck with the other guys practicing today so he had asked you to join them.

The rest of the boys knew who you were and they loved you. They saw how happy you made Jungkook and they would have never asked for him to find anyone else. In their eyes you two were perfect for each other. Hoseok had always made comments about how he was jealous of your relationship with Jungkook and he wished he would find someone as lovely as you.

Jihyo waved hello to you as you stepped foot into the building and you waved back, returning a smile. Jihyo was the one who you knew the best, as she showed you around the first time you were there. She worked at the front desk, so you always saw her during your visits. The first time you had ever been to the building, Jungkook had told Jihyo to direct you to the practice room. You approached the front desk like normal and smiled.

“Are you here to see your oppa?” She asked, drawing out the last word and laughing slightly. You blushed and sputtered, trying to ignore the look she was giving you.

Momma and Me and the Devil Makes Three

People always tell stories about women who give birth to Satan’s baby. But do they ever ask what it’s like to be that kid? Yeah… that’s me. My dad is literally the devil. It’s cool, I guess.

My mother was a virginal and devout Christian girl when she got pregnant with me. She knew Satan was the father, but she still refused to have an abortion. So after I was born, all she could do was try to hide my more demonic features. But that never worked. The others knew I was different in strange, unseen ways.

When I was six, I discovered that Dad would visit when I summoned him. I’d draw a pentacle on my bedroom floor with chalk and ashes. I’d light red candles, and chant Bible verses in backwards Latin. Then—there he’d be! Sometimes he’d bring me a souvenir from Hell, usually a tooth extracted from a sinner he’d tormented that week. But best of all, he’d cradle me in his fiery-hot arms and patiently listen as I’d recite the names of the bullies who had taunted me.

Naturally, they’d always try to apologize once Dad got hold of them. But he had no mercy. None! He’d dangle them upside down, belching scorpions from his mouth into theirs. The scorpions would sting their lungs and chomp away at their bones and soft organs until they were helpless, screaming bags of hollow skin.

His protective rage made me feel safe, loved, and empowered. So much so, that when I was thirteen, I summoned the courage to tell him about Momma.

His scowl deepened as I recounted how she had begun my forced transformation from ugly to perfect.

“She held me down and cut off my horns with a curved blade,” I said. “There was so much blood that it mixed with my tears.”

“Did she?” he bellowed, narrowing his eyes. “What else?”

“My tail,” I whimpered. “She tied a string around it so tightly that it withered off.”

“And your hooves?” he asked, holding my wrists in his fingers, tenderly stroking the raw, still-oozing stumps.

“She burnt them off,” I whispered. “But I look fully human now, don’t I?”

Dad’s roars of grief and fury shook the earth.

He promptly nailed Momma upside-down to a hot iron crucifix and placed a crown of jellyfish tentacles upon her head. And for three days, I watched her die. Her blood mixed with her tears as she begged me for forgiveness.

“Her anguish is nothing compared to what you suffered at her hands,” he said, putting an arm around me. Then he hoisted me onto his massive shoulders, just like when I was little.

“Listen, kiddo,” he said. “You’re perfect, just the way you are. You always were. How about you come live with me, and finally become the Antichrist?”

“I’d like that,” I said.

With a stomp of his dreadful hooves, he opened a crack in the ground, and we descended to Hell together.

“Baby, what is it?” you frowned, tilting your head to the side “Why are you asking me all these questions now?”

“I just- I figured there were some things I wanted to hear from you, some things getting complicated with Dean… and his role, and Sam so I just… yeah.” he pursed his lips, frowning at himself when he realized that sounded so not convincing.

“Is it about Sam or… Jared?” you asked with a raised eyebrow and his frown only deepened.

“Jared?”

“Baby, if you still are jealous over the scenes we have I- I seriously don’t know what to say, now. I thought I’d done enough to show you how much I love you, I didn’t know you still doubted yourself so much about it.” you whispered “But- but if I have to say this all over again, every single day of my life then I will. Jens, you know he is my best friend, he is like a brother to me and quite honestly there is no man on this Earth that could ever make me feel the way I do about you. “He’s… a great guy. He’s literally perfect.” he breathed out, not entirely meaning Jared but rather his own brother “I wouldn’t… really blame you.”

Shy || Jughead Jones

Request by @myteenwolf-world: Hi Rose :) I love your stories so much and I was wondering if you could write something where the reader is really shy and barely speaks to anyone? Jug is the only one she talks to and the rest of the group are surprised to see them having a conversation and being close. They question Jug about it and they find out he has a crush on her. Thank you in advance <3

A/N: I feel like this was kind of shaky since I haven’t written prompts in a while but I’m getting back in the swing of things! Hope you enjoy. <3

—————

Being the new kid was never easy. Being the shy new kid was never easy. You were the perfect target for bullying from people like Reggie and Chuck who always catcalled you in the hallways and knocked your binders out of your arms. But you never said a word. You didn’t want to cause any trouble.

A few people noticed you. The “Sad Breakfast Club” saw you in the hallways. Sitting alone at lunch. Reading alone. Keeping to yourself. Day after day, almost every member of the group (with the exception being Jughead) attempted to talk to you. They tried to coerce you into at least sitting with them at lunchtime. Each time you quickly shook your head, eyes returning to your book.

Weeks passed and the group was still no closer to getting you to even speak a word.

“I just don’t understand!” Veronica exclaimed as she slammed her lunch tray down on the table. “We’ve tried everything. Does she just not like us?”

Betty shook her head.

“I don’t think that’s what it is, V,” the blonde said. “She’s just really shy. Sometimes you can try everything only to have nothing work.”

Veronica groaned.

“She has a point,” Archie said as he took a bite of his apple. “Maybe we should just stop.”

As the group talked amongst themselves, Jughead watched you from a distance. Unlike the others, he had taken a personal interest in you. The raven-haired teen loved mysteries and you were one he wanted to crack.

Why did you move here? Why did you move here so late in the school year? Why were you so shy?

“I can try,” Jughead interrupted, silencing the entire group. “To talk to her, I mean.”

Archie sighed.

“Jug, I don’t know…” he began. “You tend to be… really upfront. What if you scare her away?”

Jughead snorted.

“Wow, thanks, Arch,” he remarked sarcastically. “Like you guys haven’t terrified her enough.”

With that, he was off and making his way over to your table.

“This isn’t going to end well.” Betty said.

Veronica sighed as she opened her bag of chips.

“Guess we’ll find out.”

You heard someone making their way over to you before you saw them. You gripped your book tighter, forcing your eyesight to stay on the small words. You wondered who it would be this time. Would it be the jock or one of the two cheerleaders? It wasn’t that you didn’t like them either, it was just that you were literally terrified to talk to them. They seemed so cool and you didn’t understand why they wanted to talk to someone like you.

“Hey,” an unfamiliar voice said, breaking you out of your thoughts.

You looked up from your book, your eyes meeting blue-green ones. Your heart skipped a beat once you saw who it was. Jughead Jones. The boy in your English class who you had a massive crush on. But of course, you could never find the courage to talk to him. If you couldn’t even talk to Veronica Lodge or Betty Cooper, arguably the nicest girls in the school, how were you supposed to talk to the boy you liked?

“Can I sit here?” Jughead asked.

You returned your gaze to your book, not answering. Jughead took a seat anyway.

“What’s your name?” the beanie-clad teen pressed.

Again, you didn’t answer.

“Well,” he sighed. “My name’s Jughead. I’m in your—”

“English class,” you said softly before you froze.

Jughead seemed equally surprised that you spoke.

“Yeah, I, um,” you began again, clearing your throat. “I know who you are.”

“Is she… talking to him?” Veronica asked incredulously.

Archie nodded.

“Looks like she is. Who would’ve guessed?” the ginger asked.

“But why?” Betty asked.

Archie frowned at her question.

“Why is she talking to Jughead?” he tried to clarify.

Betty shook her head.

“No, why is Jughead talking to her? When has he ever showed an interest in the new kids? He never showed an interest in Veronica.”

Veronica rolled her eyes.

“Thanks, Betty.” she joked.

“You know what I mean.” the Cooper girl said.

The three students returned their gazes to you and Jughead who were now talking and smiling amongst each other. At the moment, the bell rang signaling the end of the period. The gang saw you pack your stuff up as you and Jughead said your goodbyes. Jughead walked back over to the group with a smug smile on his face as you walked into the school.

“How?” Veronica asked once Jughead was close enough to hear her.

“Wouldn’t you like to know?” he asked as he picked up his book bag, swinging the strap over his shoulder.

Veronica smirked.

“I don’t know, maybe it has something to do with the fact you have a crush on her? And, oh, I don’t know, maybe she likes you too and you guys are going out to Pop’s after school to get a milkshake together?” she joked, improvising everything as she went along.

Betty and Archie laughed but Veronica didn’t miss the way she saw Jughead tense up for a fraction of a second.

“Very funny, Veronica.” he deadpanned.

Veronica’s eyes widened.

“Oh my God,” she murmured. “You like her!”

Jughead turned beet-red as Betty and Archie turned to stare at him with wide eyes.

“And she likes you! And you asked her out!” Veronica continued.

“God, Veronica, scream it to the world, would you?!” Jughead hissed as the four of them walked into the school.

Veronica went silent but couldn’t stop her beaming smile or the way she was practically vibrating with excitement.

“Aw, Juggie, this is so cute!” Betty squealed.

“Not bad, Jug.” Archie said as he clapped the writer on the back.

Jughead’s red face didn’t go away.

“Yeah, okay, whatever,” he mumbled. “I’ll see you guys later.”

With that he was gone, escaping to his next class.

“Our Juggie’s growing up.” Veronica said, wiping a fake tear from her eye.

“You’re so lucky he wasn’t around to hear that.”

His Girl ✘ Sebastian Smythe Imagine ✘

A/N: I’M SO IN LOVE WITH SEBASTIAN SMYTHE! I hope you all like it ♡ The next chapter is done ♡

Thanks @lyss-91 for beta

Summary: Sebastian sees his ex girlfriend (the person he’s still in love with, by the way) dating a New Directions’s guy, Sam Evans. Of course, Sebastian is going to get his girl back, after all, she’s his girl. She always was and always will be. And he’s hers. Which doesn’t mean they’ll be back at the first look.

Sebastian couldn’t believe in his own eyes. You were here. Beautiful as always, he added to himself in thought.

Sebastian was not the kind of guy who got nervous easily. After all, he was a confident guy with a cocky attitude, what could make him really nervous?

You, (Y/N) (Y/L/N) could.

Well, that would, probably, be a completely normal reaction, since you were the only girl who he ever had a relationship with and who he fell in love with. His others, and few (Sebastian was always more like the One Night Stand guy), relationships were with men. And none, ever, made him feel like you did.

That did not mean you two were perfect. Arguments, jealousy, it all happened. But you both always managed to make it out somehow. Because, at the end of the day, you loved each other. And that was more than enough.

But you broke up. Your father was transferred to Vancouver and you waited until the day of your flight to tell Sebastian. You knew it was wrong and selfish, but you could not bear to have to tell him before. So, obviously, there’s a fight. And Sebastian did not even go to the airport.

Actually, that’s what you thought. His anger, sadness and frustration had not passed, of course, but it was the last time Sebastian would see the girl he loved in God knows how long. He needed every second with you.

But he wasn’t fast enough.

Sebastian just arrived in time to see your plane taking off, tears struck his emerald eyes as he felt a pain he had never felt before, even though the younger Smythe had worse break ups, but this one was killing him inside. You were the love of his life, Sebastian knew it.

And now you had left.

Sebastian cocked his head to the ground, unable to look at the sky for another millisecond. And as a tear fell quietly from his eyes, the box he was holding also fell.

But now you were here. Sitting at a table in Lima Bean, Ohio, USA. Exactly where he was. And Sebastian would not lose you again, ever.

His quick steps toward her stopped abruptly when Sam Evans, a blond trout from the New-Directions, Sebastian could add, sat down beside you and handed you a cup of coffee, receiving a quick kiss from you.

Sebastian’s feelings were completely mixed. For one side, he was angry as hell. What the fuck? She was his girl. His. No one, again, no one could have her other than Sebastian, she was his. But on the other side, he was feeling devastated. Were you in love with this shoddy trout? Had you forgotten him?

The Warbler looked at you, letting out a sigh. People did not always say that stupid phrase, “If you love, let go” ? Maybe that’s what he should do for you. He still loved you and wanted you to be happy and…

He shook his head from side to side; Fuck it. Fuck the New Directions pet trout. Of course you loved Sebastian, you were his girl. A year would not change that, for sure.

And Sebastian would take what was his back.

His confident, and, even a little convinced, posture and his usual cocky smile returned. Then Smythe took a pen and wrote his new number on the cup, holding where the number was. He walked toward your table and sat down, not even asking.

If that were possible, he would have lost his breath when he saw you closer. God, you looked even more beautiful than last time.

Sebastian almost growled when saw Sam touching your hand on the table, but he just smirked, catching your surprised expression and Sam’s confused expression. Or was he just trying to breathe oxygen and needed to get back into the water? Hard to say with that mouth. He left his thoughts and began to speak.

“What did you get for her?” Sebastian smiled wryly, asking Sam but keeping his eyes on you.

“Hm… A double black?” Sam asked more than confirmed, confused by the Warbler’s question. Sebastian laughed cynically and picked up your coffee, placing his in front of you.

Café au lait, no sweetener and with a little bit of Vodka. Votre favori, mon amour.” He smiled, as if talking to you after all this time had not been affecting him. But fuck, all he wanted was to kiss you right there in front of everyone.

You coughed, falling into reality again. You didn’t know Sebastian would be here. You thought you were finally ready to forget him. Because, come on, a year! You made out with other boys, just like you were sure he had with other boys and girls, but you didn’t get into a relationship, you just couldn’t. But when you met Sam, it was a bit easy to get a crush on him. You were together for a week or two now. He was really sweet.

But seeing Sebastian again made all the old feelings, which had never really left, came back, and through his eyes you could almost say the same about him.

“Thank you.” You said, kind of insecure about what talk. For a moment, both of you were lost in each other’s eyes, involuntary smiles on your faces. God, it had been so long. And those lips, if…

‘’Okay, it’s weird. What’s going on here?’’ Sam asked, who was still completely confused.

“I didn’t know that trouts could speak English.” Sebastian said ironic as he looked at Sam, angry that he was even stepping into Lima Bean.

‘’Sam, it’s Sebastian. Sebastian, it’s…’’

‘’I know him, mon bébé. The New Directions pet trout. Your public school couldn’t pay an aquarium for you?“

‘’Seb!‘’ His nickname slipped easily through your tongue, catching him off guard. No one called him that, but you.

‘’It’s have been a year since someone called me that.’’ He glared you, and your heart pounded a little faster in your chest. But you could not do that to Sam, he was good. Like, really good. You could not be such a bitch.

’'We have to go, we have glee club rehearsal.” You looked down, more telling Sam than Sebastian. Your ex-boyfriend grimaced at that, but quickly argued his eyebrows.

‘’Really? New Directions? Don’t we both know that you’re better than all these Losers, hottie?’’ Sebastian smirked.

“They’re my friends, Sebastian. They’re not Losers.” You rolled your eyes. “Thank you for the coffee.”

‘’Anything you need, mon bébé.’’ He winked at you, smiling malicious. You got the coffee and got up with Sam. You two leaving as you let out the breath you did not even know you were holding.

Sure enough, things got a bit complicated from now on.

A bit, just to sound cool.

“Where is he?” you asked excited. Your whole body was trembling with excitement and you jumped up and down on your spot like a kid. Steve smiled softly and patted your shoulder. You tried to look around his shoulders in hope, he would be standing right behind the Captain.

where was your suffering?

Facebook gets a bad rap, but there’s a lot of serious shit going down there these days.  Via a friend’s reposting:

From Scott Mednick, when a Facebook friend told him, “We suffered for 8 years. Now it’s your turn.”

Scott’s reply:

"I am surprised you would wish suffering upon me. That of course is your right, I suppose. I do not wish harm on anyone. Your statement seems to continue an ‘US v THEM’ mentality. The election is over. It is important to get past campaigning and campaign rhetoric and get down to what is uniting not dividing and what is best for ALL Americans.

There will never be a President who does everything to everyone’s liking. There are things President Obama (and President Clinton) did that I do not like and conversely there are things I can point to that the Presidents Bush did that I agree with. So I am not 100% in lock step with the outgoing President but have supported him and the overall job he did.

And, if you recall, during the Presidential Campaign back in 2008 the campaign was halted because of the "historic crisis in our financial system.” Wall Street bailout negotiations intervened in the election process. The very sobering reality was that there likely could be a Depression and the world financial markets could collapse. The United States was losing 800,000 jobs a month and was poised to lose at least 10 million jobs the first year once the new President took office. We were in an economic freefall. So let us recall that ALL of America was suffering terribly at the beginning of Obama’s Presidency.

But I wanted to look back over the last 8 years and ask you a few questions. Since much of the rhetoric before Obama was elected was that he would impose Sharia Law, Take Away Your Guns, Create Death Panels, Destroy the Economy, Impose Socialism and, since you will agree that NONE of this came to pass,

I was wondering:
Why have you suffered so?

So let me ask:
Gays and Lesbians can now marry and enjoy the benefits they had been deprived of. Has this caused your suffering?

When Obama took office, the Dow was 6,626. Now it is 19,875. Has this caused your suffering?

We had 82 straight months of private sector job growth - the longest streak in the history of the United States. Has this caused your suffering?

Especially considering where he the economy was when he took over, an amazing 11.3 million new jobs were created under President Obama (far more than President Bush). Has this caused your suffering?

Obama has taken Unemployment from 10% down to 4.7%. Has this caused your suffering?

Homelessness among US Veterans has dropped by half. Has this caused your suffering?

People are now covered for pre-existing conditions. Has this caused your suffering?

Insurance Premiums increased an average of $4,677 from 2002-2008, an increase of 58% under Bush. The growth of these
insurance premiums has gone up $4,145 – a slower rate of increase. Has this caused your suffering?

Obama added Billions of dollars to mental health care for our Veterans. Has this caused your suffering?

Consumer confidence has gone from 37.7 to 98.1 during Obama’s tenure. Has this caused your suffering?

He passed the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act. Has this caused your suffering?

His bi-annual Nuclear Summit convinced 16 countries to give up and destroy all their loose nuclear material so it could not be stolen. Has this caused your suffering?

He saved the US Auto industry. American cars sold at the beginning of his term were 10.4M and upon his exit 17.5M. Has this caused your suffering?

The deficit as a percentage of the GDP has gone from 9.8% to 3.2%. Has this caused your suffering?

The deficit itself was cut by $800 Billion Dollars. Has this caused your suffering?

Obama preserved the middle class tax cuts. Has this caused your suffering?

Obama banned solitary confinement for juveniles in federal prisons. Has this caused your suffering?

He signed Credit Card reform so that rates could not be raised without you being notified. Has this caused your suffering?

He reduced the number of troops in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Has this caused your suffering?

Yes, he killed Osama Bin Laden and retrieved all the documents in his possession for analysis. Perhaps THIS caused your suffering?

From an objective standpoint it would appear that the last 8 years have seen some great progress and we were saved from a financial collapse. Things are not perfect. Things can always be better. We are on much better footing now than we were in 2008.

I look forward to understanding what caused you to suffer so much under Obama these last 8 years.“

@m-fairbank also asked the same thing, things happening on Batmom’s point of you, and also some of the batboys…and I kinda planned something like that anyway. So here’s a sequel for “It’s her but it’s not her”, and I hope you’ll like it (and hope the “mixed feelings” were still good ones ;-)) AGAIN felt like I could write something better, might re-write everything…I rushed a bit writing it cause I’m in L.A but I also wanted to write something and…I guess it’s this kind of time eh.

Summary : Batman and his kids accidentally got send in an alternate dimension, and Batmom has the displeasure of realizing that her Bruce from this other world is…not hers at all.

PART 1 !

_____________________________________________________________________

When your husband and kids came home with Diana and Clark, you didn’t think too much of it. It wasn’t unusual for your friends to come over to the bat cave and work, or even just chill.

But when you went to kiss Bruce, and you felt him stiffen under your touch. When he didn’t kiss back, and even moved away, his head moving back and forth between you and Clark, stunned. When your sons stared at you with wide eyes and open mouthes…you realized something was wrong.

-Wh…what is it ?

Bruce didn’t say anything, he found he couldn’t say anything. The Hell just happened ? Clark’s wife just kissed him ! And…What was she doing in the bat cave anyway, at this hour ?

Under your husband’s gaze, you felt uncomfortable for the first time in your life. Usually, he had the opposite effect on you, you were always so relaxed around him. Even during charity balls or such obligations you had as Waynes, when your introverted self felt awful, his mere presence calmed you down and helped you get threw the night.

But right now, the way he was looking at you made you shiver. You didn’t recognize his usual look…In his eyes right now, there were no love, no relief to see you well and alive, no joy, no slight impatience to finally get to bed with you. Instead, there was confusion, embarrassment, and a slight touch of curiosity maybe ?

And your children…None of them rushed to hug you first, or to tell you who’s ass they kicked this time.

Something was wrong. Terribly wrong.

The first night back at Grimmauld Place was horrific, to say the least. If it wasn’t bad enough being in his childhood home, a house arrest in place and a ban on how much whisky he could consume was for sure.

In his frustration, Sirius headed out into the garden slamming the back door behind him as he did and relishing in the silence it created as he was cut off from the Order’s meeting. His eyes first took in the overgrown weeds, the bushes that he had once hidden in to avoid the usual talks with his parents, and then he noticed the stars, the moon.

The sight made him smile. Not enough to be his trademark, but sufficient enough to change his facial expression, and cause his eyes to glimmer.

Sirius heard a snap of a twig, turning on his heels to come face to face with the man who so often reminded him of the moon, and who he had also been avoiding like the plague.

He could have shouted at him, the words were ready to be thrown; he could have lost his temper and ordered him away, far far away. Sirius that if he did, he would regret it immediately after.

The mere sight of Remus’ sunken shoulders, hollow cheeks and sleep deprived eyes made him see that he wasn’t alone in self-torture. Clearly, the past few years hadn’t been easy on either of them, but Sirius was still sure he was worse off. It was why he spoke first; why the words fell from his lips almost childlike.

“You left me…” Sirius whispered, unreserved and laced in pain.

Remus stepped closer, more scars littering his face that there had been in the Shack a few years ago. “Never again. I promise! It would end me for -”

Sirius cut him off as he closed the space and held him. The act happened quickly, and he realised that he didn’t wish to hash this out right now, a part of him never wanting too; hoping he could bury it deep beneath all the other pain and move on from it all.

For now, however, he settled for holding Remus; breathing the scent of books and wisdom from his robes. Sirius relaxed into the man’s hold, allowing himself to fall back into the perfect mould they always were. Remus stared into his eyes, begging for them to talk tomorrow instead of now. Sirius nodded, he had been running for two years, missing him for fourteen and churning with madness for far longer. It was what Sirius wanted to, to push it to the side for tonight, to have a pause and revisit it another day so they could hold one another for a moment.

He answered him with a kiss. A soft, but meaningful kiss, that quickly turned into one that had everything poured in, as though he was spinning his feelings into a song that Remus’ lips could only translate.

Sirius was sure Remus understood. The feel of Remus holding him a little tighter, bringing their bodies a little nearer; he had to know. Remus always knew.

It was why Sirius loved him; it was why he knew that a part of Remus had never given up. That level of love, it didn’t vanish under hardship, it strengthened

Oh my goodness last night was incredible, the conservation area was so amazing plus he brought an air mattress as well as an abundance of pillows and blankets!! It was so cozy and I love that we can talk endlessly but also just enjoy each other’s company in silence and appreciate things like this together — he even let me meditate 💓

I literally could not stop starring though, we were able to admire so many stars and even the milky way and some distant galaxies too! We also saw plenty of shooting stars including one which was so incredibly bright that we were both actually speechless ✨👁✨
