Riverine Rabbit

The riverine rabbit (Bunolagus monticularis), also known as the bushman rabbit or bushman hare, is one of the most endangered mammals in the world, with only around 250 living adults. This rabbit has an extremely limited distribution area, found only in the central and southern regions of the Karoo Desert of South Africa’s Northern Cape Province. It is the only member of the genus Bunolagus.

R&V 4 o’clock ANALYSIS:  Who is the song really about aside from Jimin?

Do you all remember the moon & sun tattoo made of henna that V had in Hawaii ??? (Cr to @wingstyles) This means Taehyung thought of the song since then if not before. We always tought, why the sun and the moon? This song hold the answers.

WHO IS THE MOON?

It is said Taehyung wanted to write a song while thinking of Jimin as an element in it:

If we consider Jimin being the moon. The lyrics of 4 o’clock “I wrote a long, long letter to the moon“. Maybe he meant by writing a letter about whenever he vented to Jimin about his pain. Also In namjoon’s rap “I collect myself that’s shattered beneath the moonlight“. Aren’t friends the ones who keep as whole when we are breaking? Or Taehyung was really in the park alone looking at the moon while thinking of someone, but who?

WHO IS THE SONG ABOUT?

“It would not be brighter than you, but I lighted a small candle at a dusky park … where are you” Why would taehyung light a candle in a park? The ritual of lighting a candle to pay tribute to a life ‘passed’ has long been a part of many cultures.  Keeping a light burning in remembrance signifies that the memory still lives on and burns bright.  It is a ritual that promotes reflection and signifies remembrance. So maybe the song is at the end about Taehyung’s grandmother who passed away. V said that Jimin stood by his side the most during those hard times. The soothing ballad and the tone and feelings expressed in the song come to support this theory.

WHO IS THE MOON CHILD?

In rapmon’s part he raps about a moon child “I call you moonchild. The definition of a moon child is someone born under the astrological sign of Cancer. However when Rapmon says “We are the children of the moon“, knowing that no BTS member is a Cancer, we are left with the other meaning:  A unique individual, often described as being slightly crazy and over emotional. “Moonchildren sometimes say strange things”. Speaking of which isn’t Taehyung always described as the weirdest and most unique one in BTS?! Namjoon write the lyrics as if he is consoling Tae about his lost one as the lyrics says “Yes we’re livin and dying at the same time” aking him to accept the fact that all humans leave earth someday. V was so sad when his grandmother passed away because she was the one who raised him. So RM continues “but you can open your eyes for now” Trying to help him to move on

THE NOCTURAL BIRD

The lyrics speak of a bird “A nameless bird that sings“. Normaly we are used to birds singing during the day but Robins are insectivorous birds that are well adapted to foraging in dim light , and even continue to feed under artificial light well into the night (like the one in a park at night). It is one of the earliest birds to start the dawn chorus and one of the last to stop singing at night. With this tendency to be active at low light, robins can be easily triggered into full song by a streetlight or any kind of floodlighting. Since robins keep territories all year round, they also sing all round the year. I also searched if the species is available in south korea and it is HERE. But how does Taehyung knows about the existance of such a bird. Did this situation really occur? he  will interpret the singing of the bird as if he was too searching for that person “A nameless bird that sings where are you

In memory of Taehyung’s grandmother. May she rests in peace.

“love looks not with the eye but with the mind.”

- [Act I, scene i]

@shelliihe and I were talking about the new official art and this came to mind!

extra (plot twist):

we also talked about that lmao

in all seriousness, the new official art is too beautiful and so is shelli //both art and personality <3 ;A;;;

“My mother wasn’t the best person in the world.  She was hooked on heroin for most of my life.  She sold our childhood home for drug money.  She left me alone to raise my brother and disabled nephew.  I used to wake up every night to feed him and change his diapers.  I supported us all on the $5.15 an hour that I earned from the grocery store.  My mother passed away a few months ago, and I think I’m just now coming to terms with how awful she made my life.  This is the most stable I’ve ever been.  I have a permanent address.  I have someone who legitimately loves me.  But my anxiety has never been worse.  I’ve been having panic attacks recently.  I think I’ve never had to deal with the trauma because things were always coming at me.  And now I’m not sure how to handle the quiet.”

*staring at long list of homework/projects I’ve already committed to but haven’t worked on* maybe now’s the right time to try out Duolingo Hebrew

((OOC: Okay, hear me out. Headcannon time.

Squibs. Squibs, right? Squibs.

They’re born into magical families, but they have no magical ability themselves. They never get to go to Hogwarts, they never get a wand from Ollivander’s… But they are always surrounded by magic. Mothers and fathers all casting spells all the time, while they trudge along behind, unable to join in. And it must be the worst, to know about this world and know that you’re the disappointing child who can’t be like the rest of the family.

But what if they just develop their own brand of magic?

Dream with me. We know that Harry & CO learn all about the witch hunts. It’s brushed over in the books and stuff. We only hear about the witches and wizards who get caught, enjoy the process of burning with all their protective spells, and then go on their merry way. We assume that it was a bunch of muggles who were really killed. Weird old women who lived alone in the woods. Young women who made poultices and grew herbs. Men who had great affinity with the earth and the seasons.

They were targeting squibs.

Squibs, who had grown up with magic, but always seen it as unattainable. So they turned outward, toward the magic of the energies of the world. They learned to divine the future with cards and drops of ink. They found a way to gently push at the flow of life around them, doing a smaller, slower sort of magic. And they formed covens, to talk about their way of life and to share their methods.

And as time passes, as history moves past burnings and trials, they still practice. They charge crystals in the moonlight. They have incredible gardens. And, incredibly, they have access to the magical paraphernalia in their homes. Their brothers and sisters come home from Diagon Alley with bags full of mandrake root, because wouldn’t you know it, it’s the perfect thing to mix with mugwort to produce deep, dreamless sleep! They pour over the old family copy of The Standard Book Of Spells for tips on how to give a real kick to their sigils. When a friend is stressing over exams, they may not be able to help blocking hexes, but you can bet they’ll be there with supportive words and a fresh spell jar to help soothe anxiety!

And sure, witches and wizards mutter about the incredibly simple magic. It’s a big joke that’s giggled over in Witch Weekly articles. But simple as it is, the magic works. And better, it provides these beautiful, kind people with a community of their own that they can turn to. And sometimes the families will get involved, celebrating Samhain with conjured bats and floating candles, and enchanting maypoles to twirl through the air for Beltane, and always offering tips where they can, for the bits of magic that you don’t need to be born magical to do.

It’s not the right, “normal” sort of magic. It’s magic with a big bold “k” tacked onto the end of it, bold as brass. But somehow, this world blooms in the heart of the wizarding world. Somehow, everyone gets along.

The magic(k) works. It finds a way.))

Can you save my bastard soul?
Will you wait for me?

Bughead in Season 2

From RAS: “They’re still very much together in season two but as we saw in the finale Jughead is setting off on a different path. He’s going to a different school, living in a different area of town. Perhaps most significantly, it seems like he’s joining the Southside Serpents. I think that will create obvious tension with Betty, assuming he tells her. There’s a chance Jughead will be trying to live a double life, one with Betty and one with the Serpents. That is absolutely a big story we’re telling with Betty and Jughead in season two.” Sounds like trouble, but something they’ll overcome.

Headcanon: The Inner Circle go to Wimbledon
  • Feysand in royal box (obviously) with everyone in the crowd watching them admiring the High Lord & Lady of Night - who are looking fire™ ofc as they feed each other strawberries and cream
  • Amren just fixating on a particularly cute ball boy who is now sure his death awaits him as every time he looks up theres Amren with that look
  • Cassian being so beautiful that the camera keeps panning to him - he and Azriel are like Bradley Cooper and Gerard Butler that year ultimate bros
  • Nesta glaring at that one female player™ (along with half the audience) who keeps eyeing Cassian - staking her claim over him more and more until she’s literally sat in his lap
  • Mor dressing like an absolute queen and then eyeing and flirting with the players - cue Nadal deciding NOW is the time to change shirts…whilst staring at her
  • Cassian being immature about the players grunting/moaning and Nesta being angry at him - she decides the only way to get her own back is to make those noises quietly in his ear, teasing him whilst slowly trailing her hand up his thigh…
  • Azriel just casually - with one hand without even looking - catching a stray ball one of the players hits into the crowd
  • Mor goes down to get the players to sign stuff at the end but just returns with all their numbers
  • Nesta choosing to support the opposite player to Cassian just because and then being uncovered for her true allegiance by accidentally standing up and cheering when Cassian’s player wins a point
  • Just the whole inner circle getting drunk on pimms and champagne
Saki’s BoS: Lemon Wish Spell

Last night while scrolling my Tumblr feed, I stumbled upon asksecularwitch’s Peach Cobbler Spell from last year and it reminded my of a spell I did in my childhood, when I was too innocent to actually know I did a thing.

One day, my best friend came to my house to play and in the middle of the day, totally random she told me: Hey, do you want to know something cool? Someone told me that if you write your wish on a piece of paper with red ink and flood it in lemon juice, your wish is gonna come true. This lady told me that it was a white magic trick.

Little did she know I used that recipe all of my teenage years to get books. It’s a very simple spell, done mostly for kids or by kids, so bear with me. You can add things to it if you want, but for me, the original recipe did the trick. Here we go.

You’ll need:

  • A container to hold the juice
  • Lemon Juice
  • Red Ink (marker, pen, anything)
  • Piece of paper

Write your wish on the piece of paper with the red ink. Put it in your container, you jar or whatever it is you chose. Flood the paper in lemon juice. Now play the waiting game until your wish comes true. I remember when I was a teen, I never waited more than a few months, but that was because I wished for a physical object. I never wished for something else than books, so if you wish for love or money, I have no idea how it’ll turn out. If you want to try it, tell me how it worked, I’ll be delighted to record the outcome for myself and anybody interested.

Have a good one. :)

I think I lost my mind
Somewhere along these lines
Of words, thoughts, and feelings.
I’m feeding into my addictions
Chasing the dragon
Without restrictions.
Tonight is the night
I drink to the last drop
I don’t want to stop.
Smoke a little green
Just to kill the edge
I’m hanging by my fingertips
On this blurry ledge.
This time, I’m going to do it right
And if I do I might not remember the night.

Thanks to @pangur-and-grim for this amazing Horrible DrawingTM of my beloved goldfish, Flash. You really captured his essence! Also, glad I left it in the plastic because he wasted no time in making an extremely aggressive splash and getting water all over it 😂
