they changed the choreography a little bit

anonymous asked:

Sorry for all the flak you have to deal with. Some people can be so rude! Anyway, as a bit of a change of pace, I was wondering, what is your favourite moment in any Hanyu program apart from his jumps? I’d personally have to say his choreographic sequences. They’re always so perfect and ind time with the music, not to mention beautiful!

Thank you for the change of pace :)

This might come out sounding odd, but the moments I enjoy most are when Yuzu does things that have very little to do with scoring or choreography, when he basically lets the music carry him away and does anything that feels natural.

Like this one, giving the judges some random sass at Sochi 2014 because why not:

This one, Worlds 2015, clenching his fists in this gesture at the end of the final spin in what Kurt Browning called “forcing the audience into a standing ovation”:

This one, WTT 2015, whispering goodbye to his Christine because obviously he was the Phantom and he just had to do it:

This one, NHK 2015, when he brought his hand down and all of a sudden opened his fingers to perfectly accentuate the music phrase:

This one time at SC 2016 too:

This one, GPF 2016, he said after that he felt like doing that gesture at that moment because the lyric went “Instead of asking him how much of your time is left / Ask him how much of your mind, baby”:

And here, just this season at CoR, that simple but so expressive motion in the middle of his step sequence:

I don’t like talking about the too-vaguely defined “artistry” in skating, but if anyone insists on having a conversation with me about it, those moments are what I’d want to discuss :)

I miss him so much already .___.

Category 2, number 13: “Best friend’s younger sibling who suddenly got hot” sex

@lamenart First of all, you can have anything you want, I would literally die for you after your drawings. Second, this is the AU I like to call “the one where Mari and Viktor meet years before he meets Yuuri, and they become penpals.” This is part 1 lmao, I’ll post part 2 tomorrow!

PART 1 OF 3

By some strange twist of fate, Viktor meets Mari before he actually meets her brother.

It happens during his first Grand Prix skating in the senior division, when he gets assigned the NHK Trophy for one of his qualifying events. Viktor is excited—he’s never been to Japan before, and the only thing he likes better than skating itself is the amount he gets to travel because of it. When he isn’t practicing his routines or pestering Yakov about changing his choreography, Viktor spends most of his time looking up all the fun things he plans to do in the two or three days he gets to spend outside of competition, which means sightseeing and food tourism and talking to locals.

Autumn Classic International 2017 Part 1 reaction post (Yuzu-centric)

I had good timing today in watching the Autumn Classic. I made it home from work just in time for the six minute warm-up of the Men’s SP Group 3 – meaning Yuzu was set to skate in about 12 minutes and I had just enough time to grab something for dinner before sitting down to watch.

Yuzuru was insane.

Like seriously, WTF, Yuzu.

That 4S looked like it was dropped from heaven. Literally, his airtime made it look like he flew and then dropped onto earth in a smooth landing. He was in the air for so long that it felt like he could add an extra rotation in there and decided not to. The judges gave him +3GOE across the board – that’s how good it was. His 3A from a back counter was as amazing as ever. And then he does the 4T+3T with arms up in a perfect Rippon. That is how a Rippon jump is supposed to look like. Arms straight up and centered, looking effortless. If anything, the Rippon made it seem like he rotated FASTER and looked like it pulled him up higher into the air.

It was so surreal watching his SP. I’m so used to seeing the old choreography and layout, that it felt off. Not “wrong” exactly, but surprising, I guess. “Here’s where the little hop is…… or not. He’s still spinning.”
The changes fit the music, but it’ll take a bit to get used to it since I’ve watched the old version develop over two seasons+watched it more than a couple dozen times since. I’m sure it must have been interesting overriding muscle memory over the summer.

I’m just–  He’s skating with pain in his right knee. His team announced that Yuzu would scale back his program to take it easy on his knee, yet it still had such a crazy BV that it meets his peak from two seasons ago and beats his own World Record.
And he doesn’t even look out of breath at the end. He just shrugs. Basically: “Meh. Not bad for a Plan B. Solid start for the season,” then goes on to bow and sit for his scores. Geez, Yuzu. I’m excited to see how the program will look when it’s filled in with the correct jumps and smoothed out.

Even if we deduct a few points to account for Olympic Year Inflation, he still earned close enough to his old record, and this is the first competition of the season, where he’s usually at his weakest stamina-wise. His starting point this year is where he left off at his peak. What I’m getting at is, if he’s starting at 112.72 already, and not very strained, how high can he go when he pushes his limits?

Words: 937
Pairing: Choi Seungcheol (S.Coups) x fem!reader
Genre: fluffy
Summary: In which Seungcheol hurts himself and his girlfriend is the last person to know about it

Lotus’ note: I hope you guys enjoy it! And also, in which point of view you prefer to read (reader pov, self-insert or like in this drabble)?

Something she hated the most about her boyfriend Seungcheol is that he has the tendency to not worry about himself due to his position as the leader in Seventeen. From time to time she caught him with scraped knees, sometimes a few bruises on his hands and sore legs and shoulders.

It stresses Y/n so much. Of course, she was the last person to know if Seungcheol was hurt even if is just a small thing, she was his girlfriend and definitely worries about him.

do u ever just cry bc….. little mix work so hard.. they have never half-assed a show in their entire career. they have played for crowds that had little respect for them or couldnt give a damn, and they have done it just as lovingly as they play for their most dedicated fans. they are always ready to sing and you can tell they love it and you know that talent is real because they constantly do acapellas and acoustics that sound even better than the studio versions. you know they rehearse like hell until their solos, harmonies and choreography are all on point and they never mess up. when theyve been performing the same song for a few months they always change it a bit to keep it interesting, even remixing their own songs and throwing in a dance breakdown or some beatboxing. they wrote a whole damn album and scrapped it because it wasnt good enough for them and wrote another??? like they are such an amazing band and they deserve everything they’ve got and more and we are so lucky to have them

so everyone is talking about their imaginary studios;

and i wanted to share with you my own personal story, that will probably turn into a ten page essay. but i want to prove to you all that if you believe in something, and in yourself, you can achieve it.

okay boys and girls, grab your refreshing beverages and get comfy because today i am going to be sharing with you the development of my (semi) imaginary dance studio history

I was at home flipping through channels trying to find something, anything, to watch that wouldn’t put me to sleep. When my phone started to ring. I set the TV remote down and stretched trying to reach my cell which was conveniently placed out of reach on the opposite side of my couch. When I finally grabbed my phone I saw Jungkook’s name light up my screen.

“Hello?”

“Noona~” he whined out obviously wanting something.

“Yes Jungkook what’s up?”

“How come I haven’t seen you in over two months?!”

“Well I don’t know maybe the fact that we both work for a living.” I rolled my eyes at his question.

“That’s no excuse, we all miss you so we’re going to have dinner tomorrow.”

“I have a thing tomorrow I can't”

Suddenly he put the phone on speaker and I could hear all seven boys objecting and saying “Y/n you have to come please~”

I let out an annoyed sigh which seemed to make them quiet down a bit. “What time did you have in mind kook.”

Jungkook took the phone off speaker but I could still hear the other boys cheering in the background.

“8 O’clock.”

“I can’t guarantee anything but I will try to be there.”

“See ya there Noona~.”

He hung up and I let out a defeated sigh. “What a brat.” I whispered while setting my phone to the side.

#HAMILTONCHI thoughts

ok so i saw hamilton almost a month ago (9/29/16) and it’s taken me this long to formulate my thoughts because i just have so much to say and frankly i couldn’t emotionally process it

this isn’t a review but i did talk a lot about the changes from the OBC (i’ve never seen it in NYC so i’m going off of what i know from the OBCR and released clips), also i saw literally the 3rd time the chicago cast performed for an audience, technically before opening night (previews), so keep that it mind

it’s. Really long so i organized everything by song and bolded the really important stuff / what i think you’ll find most interesting. i may try and cull it down a bit more to do a more coherent review but for now you can just browse through my ramblings

(under the cut because, guys, it’s long.)

Be My Baby (And I’ll Look After You)

It was a cool, spring day in downtown Seoul and, while the citizens of the city went about their business unhampered, a young Chinese man named Wen Junhui was having a complete mental breakdown. He’d finally gotten his nerve up enough to propose to his boyfriend of two years and even though his friends had agreed to help him with the proposal, he was completely terrified of what could go wrong. There was so much stress involved in planning because his baobei, the love of his life, deserved the best, most memorable proposal in history. His original idea had been to propose in the flower shop that his friend Seungcheol owned because that’s where they had first met, but that idea was scrapped after remembering that it was spring and Minghao had horrible pollen allergies. Another idea was to go out to a fancy restaurant and propose via the cliche “ring on a breadstick” but it was a Friday and reservations as any good restaurants were impossible to come by on such short notice.

Jun grabbed his hair and yanked, hoping the pain might give him inspiration. It gave him a headache, and he sat at the kitchen counter rubbing his temples to alleviate the pain. It was stressing him out so much and the nerves were killing him, but…this was his boyfriend. That beautiful, loving person who’d stuck by him through so much shit. The person that Jun would gladly throw his life away for. It…it just had to be perfect.

“I’m home!” A voice called as a door slammed at the other end of the apartment. In walked Minghao, looking adorable in an oversized sweater of Jun’s and round glasses. His hair was slightly wet and hung down in waves rather than the tight curls that had been common as of late (it reminded Jun of thinly sliced pork belly, not that he’d ever tell his love that). His cheeks were flushed and Jun smiled at the sight of two steaming Americanos in his hands.

“Welcome home baby,” Jun got up from his seat and pulled Minghao into a tight hug. “How were classes today? Did you find out the results of your last assessment?”

Minhao pulled back slightly so he could take of his bag and place the coffees on the table. He sighed, pouting a little bit. “No. I’m really worried about that assessment too. I think I missed four counts of the choreography that got changed and the music was changed last minute too and just…ugh.” His boyfriend thumped his head into Jun’s chest and Jun entertained himself by running his hands through the blonde waves. Minghao purred at the sensation and yep, okay, Jun was dating a literal cat.

“Don’t be so stressed out babe. You’re the best dancer in your class, you know that. The professors have said that millions of times. You don’t need to worry.”

“I just want to do good. For my parents and everyone and…it’s just really hard sometimes.” Minghao pouted and removed himself from Jun’s embrace. “I’m going to go take a shower. I’ll be out in a few minutes.”

Jun kissed his forehead and Minghao, blushing slightly, went down the hall to the bathroom. The sound of water running was heard a few minutes later, accompanied by Minghao’s soft voice, singing an old Chinese song that Jun hadn’t heard in years. Jun grabbed one of the Americanos and slumped down onto the couch in the living room. He hoped the caffeine would help his headache a little. He felt bad about stressing over a proposal when his boyfriend was so worried about his classes.

As a dance major at Seoul University, Minghao had a lot of stress thrown at him. The dance department was notoriously hard, known for having a low acceptance rate and punishing teachers. As a foreign student, Minghao had been singled out from the start and many of the professors seemed to make it their job to make his life harder. Jun was proud of his boyfriend through. He worked twice as hard as anyone else in that department, staying in the studios until early in the morning to he could get choreography perfect. There were many days when Jun would have to go to pick Minghao up at the studio only to find him passed out on whatever horizontal surface was available.

Jun sighed. Maybe he should save the proposal for another day? Even though it was their anniversary, maybe all that was needed was a night in with movies and junk food. The Chinese man was already running through a list of take-out numbers in his head and trying to remember if there were any new movies on Netflix when Minghao came into the living room. The dancer was wearing Jun’s clothes, which looked huge on his waifish frame and he was cuddling a gigantic Pororo plushie that they’d won at a fair the previous summer.

The sight of his baobei wearing his clothes and looking so tiny just made Jun’s heart melt. He opened his arms, beckoning Minghao over to cuddle. Plopping himself down on the older boy’s lap, Minghao snuggled into the embrace and sighed contentedly, all previous stress temporarily forgotten.

“I know it’s our anniversary, but would you mind if we just had a lazy night in? I can call for Chinese food and we can binge on horrible reality shows?” Jun whispered into Minghao’s ear. The smaller boy smiled and nodded. “Can we get kimchi fried rice?”

“Of course babe,” Another forehead kiss was given and Jun pulled his phone out of his sweatshirt pocket to dial the number long memorized to order deliciously greasy fast food.

The pair sprawled out on the old couch, immersed in watching horrible movies. When the food came, it was devoured in record time and the coffee table was littered with takeout cartons and disposable chopsticks. As the night went on, they drifted off to sleep with the tv humming quietly in the background.

The elder of the two woke up the next morning with a dead arm and a mouthful of curls. He yawned, stretched, and carefully removed himself from the shared embrace. Picking up his lover, Jun carried him into their bedroom and tucked him under the covers. Minghao snored on quietly, nose scrunched up as he unconsciously reacted to some dream. Slipping away into the kitchen, Jun checked his phone to find a barrage of new messages.

Scoops-hyung: Did you propose yet?

Angel Boy: I heard from Seungcheol that you found the ring! so happy :D

Diva Boo: i’d better be your best man at the wedding!

10/10 Hoshi: did you do it did you do it did you do it did you do it??????????

Jun replied to all of them.

Jerry: not yet; he was so tired last night we just had a lazy day

Turning off his phone, he set about making breakfast. Twenty minutes later, pancakes were frying on the griddle and sausages were sizzling in a pan. Jun chopped up some fruit, arranged everything nicely and carried a tray of breakfast into their bedroom. Minghao was awake, sat up in bed, rubbing his eyes sleepily. He yawned.

“Good morning Junnie,” A smile spread across Minghao’s face at the sight of food.

“Morning love,” Jun set the tray down on the end of the bed and crawled under the covers with his boyfriend. “Hope you’re hungry because there’s a ton of food.”

“Always,” Minghao could eat and eat and eat and never gain weight. It sometimes worried Jun how thin Minghao was, but was quickly reassured by him that he had always been like that.

They ate in a comfortable silence, the only sounds being forks scraping over plates or little slurps of coffee. Sunlight streamed through the curtains, giving the tiny room a warm glow. Jun found himself analyzing every detail of the younger’s face, from the crinkles in the corners of his eyes to the dimples of his cheeks to the soft curve of his lips. He was suddenly taken back to the first time that they’d met, Jun a senior at SeoulU and Minghao a nervous sophomore transfer from China. It had been such a relief for the sophomore to run into someone who spoke his native tongue, who understood how it felt to be homesick and to want your own food, your own bed, your parents near you every day.

Thinking back on all of the times they’d shared together, all of the fights and make-ups, the stolen kisses and  hands held under tables, Jun realized that through anything and everything, he just wanted to be with Minghao forever. He realized that he didn’t need an elaborate proposal to make Minghao feel his love; he just had to be there. Shaken at the realization, his thoughts hadn’t caught up with his mouth when he blurted out: “Will you marry me?”

Minghao looked at him in disbelief. The world seemed to stop. “What did you say?” His voice trembled.

Jun pulled his boyfriend onto his lap and looked him straight in the eyes before he chickened out of saying what he’d been dying to say for the longest time.

“I want to marry you Xu Minghao. I want to wake up next to you forever and share everything with you. You are the love of my life, my baobei, my everything. I had this giant elaborate proposal planned out; there was going to be flowers and a celebration and all of our friends, but for some reason I could do it. Do you know why? Because I realized that I don’t need to do all of that stuff because it doesn’t matter. My love for you is a stronger message than any of that stuff combined and I hope to God that you love me as much as I love you because I want to stay with you until we’re old and gray and we can’t hear each other say I love you because we’ve gone deaf and senile. I don’t care if we’re stuck in a crappy apartment in a foreign country where neither of us are good at communicating, or if we’re on a beach in Hawaii or if we’re in the middle of the apocalypse. I don’t need fancy things or a big house or money because all I want is you. Forever and always, I just want you there. So, I’m going to say this again before my brain catches up with my mouth and I freeze up: Xu Minghao, baobei, love. I love you and want to spend the rest of my life loving you. Will you marry me?”

Jun took a deep breath and looked and Minghao. There were tears coming from the boy’s eyes and Jun panicked immediately, thinking that he’d upset him somehow. “Baby, please don’t cry! Did I say something? Please talk to me.” He pleaded.

“I can’t believe that for a second you’d think that I don’t love you as much as you love me. Of course I’ll marry you, you big idiot!” Minghao sniffled and rubbed at his eyes. Jun kissed away his tears.

“You’re serious?”

“Always,”

Jun laughed and a few tears came out of his eyes as well and they both sat there crying and laughing until neither of them could cry anymore.

Wen Junhui’s plans had been ruined. There had been no elaborate proposal, no fancy dinner or huge gesture. That Saturday morning, in a tiny apartment in a foreign country, Wen Junhui and Xu Minghao fell even more in love. From that day on, whenever they held hands and Jun could see the engagement ring on Minghao’s finger, he was reminded that sometimes the best things in the world were the simplest. He was young, had the love of his life by his side and he was ready to take whatever the world threw at him. Minghao would be there with him through thick and thin and Jun really could say that he was the luckiest guy in the world.

KWON WHINE LIKE ‘AUCHH’ OUT LOUD (AS I HEARD FROM FANCAM) AND ZICO NOTICE IT FIRST SO HE LOOK DOWN ON KWON’S FEED TO SEE THAT HE WAS OKAY AND WHEN P.O NOTICE THAT AND LOOK AT KWON TOO ZICO WAS HITTING P.O HEAD SO HARD LIKE DO NOT TEASED KWON! ONLY ME CAN DO THAT ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

AND ANOTHER CUTE ONE IS WHEN ZICO GRAB KWON’S HAND AND DRAW LIKE IT WAS HIS OWN TOY IGNORED THAT HE HAS ANOTHER ALBUM HE NEED TO SIGN AND FANS WAS WAIT IN FRONT OF HIM. AND THERE’S ANOTHER MOMENTS LIKE A CHOREOGRAPHY OF ‘NICE DAY’ ON KWON’S PART WHEN THEY BUMP TO EACH OTHER AND KWON CHANGE TO BUMP AT P.O (I CANT RMB WHICH ONE IS NEXT TO ANOTHER SIDE OF ZICO..) OR A NEW NARINA CHOREOGRAPHY ON A2 PART THAT ZICO SINGS THERE WILL BE A STOP MOMENT AND ZICO SING ‘넘어져도 나오는 폼폼폼폼’ THE OTHERS ARE JUST STANDING AND POST WHILE ZICO TURN BACK AND ACK LIKE HITTING KWON ON 폼폼폼폼 PART AND KWON STEP BACK LIKE HE WAS HITTED (YEAH THAT’S NOTHING BUT YOU KNOW FOR A SHIPPER WHO JUST HAVE SOME RARE MOMENTS AFTER VERYGOOD PROMOTION)

Confessions of a Shy, Flustered Mess

genre: fluff

characters: you, dk, members

word count: 825

DK confesses to you after realizing you have your eye on another member.

“What kind of flavour does Seungkwan like again?” you ask, your eyes darting from vanilla all the way to green tea.

“Strawberry.. Why?” DK turns his attention from the calories on his chocolate bar to you.

“So I can get him his favourite?”

“But you’re getting all the other members the same flavour?”

“I’m getting you chocolate aren’t I?” you stop pushing the cart and turn towards him.

“I mean, yeah, but..” he says, clearly annoyed.

“But what, Seokmin?” you roll your eyes and place your hand on your hip, raising an eyebrow.

“Nevermind! Just get it for him.” he says, pushing the cart to start again.

“Okay.”

The rest of your grocery shopping trip continues like normal, the both of you stopping at random moments and seeing things that the members would like along the way. You help DK carry the groceries to his dorm before saying goodbye.

“Make sure to give Seungkwan the strawberry one, okay?”

“Yeah, yeah okay. I will.” he says, rolling his eyes and opening his arms for a hug.

“Thanks, Seokkie.” you fall into his arms and he smiles into your hair. After you leave, DK enters his dorm and is greeted by Joshua and Jeonghan making dinner in the kitchen.

“Hey. How was grocery shopping? Did you get the onions?” Jeonghan asked, turning away from the stove and towards you.

“Yeah. Here.” DK tossed the onions onto the table and started putting all the groceries away, until he came upon the strawberry ice cream.

“Hey? Seokmin, are you okay?” Joshua asked, putting a hand on his shoulder softly. He hadn’t realized he had zoned out so much.

“Hmm? Yeah. I’m fine.” he got up and started towards the dorm that he shared with Seungkwan, the strawberry ice cream in hand.

“Hey, hyung!” Seungkwan greeted him happily right as he answered. He was cleaning up his closet when DK shoved the container of ice cream in front of him. Seungkwan’s whole face lit up and looked up at DK, confused.

“Wow! Thanks! But why did you get me ice cream?”

“I didn’t. Y/N did.”

“Oh! Why?”

“I don’t know! I’m going to shower.” DK grabbed his towel and stormed out of the room, leaving Seungkwan confused.

After a while of thinking, he decided he would confess to you tomorrow. He wanted to do it as soon as possible so you didn’t have a chance to confess to Seungkwan. He put the plan in action by asking you to hang out for his break, which would be around 2. You agreed to let him come by your house. DK spent the rest of the day worrying, figuring out what type of flowers he should get you, and trying on multiple outfits until he found one that was “good enough”.

When the next day finally rolled around, he was extremely giddy and anxious. He practiced their new choreography hard, but still got moves wrong and was slow due to being distracted. Once the break finally rolled around, he went to his bag and quickly changed into the outfit he had chosen. He told the members he was just going to go out for a bit, and nobody questioned him. DK walked out of the building and towards your house, stopping at the little flower shop at the corner to get you your favourite kind of flowers, spending a good 15 minutes there (does she like daisies? pink daisies? blue?). When your house finally came into view, he pushed all of his nervousness away and walked up to your front door. He knocked three times. You got up from your position on the couch and fixed your hair quickly as you walked to get the door. When you opened the door, a bouquet of light pink and blue and purple daisies were stuffed into your face. Catching you off guard, you couldn’t help but let out a little giggle. Seeing you laugh, he let go of a little of his nervousness. You took the bouquet and looked at him expectantly.

“So, y/n, I really like you. A lot. And I’m sorry I didn’t confess earlier, but the way you got Seungkwan his favorite ice cream and me really jealous, and I realized I had to wake up and confess to you before you confessed to him. So here I am. Will you be my girlfriend? Maybe? If you’re okay with that, I mean. I mean you don’t have to answer right away! Although I’d like it if you did.. But you don’t ha-”

“Yes! I will.” you giggled at him, halfway through his confession he had become a flustered mess.

“Really? You will?”

“Yes. I thought you didn’t have interest in me so I started looking for interest in Seungkwan, but it’s hard. I like you too.” you looked down, a little embarrassed.

Suddenly, a strong pair of arms wrapped around you and pulled you into a long awaited hug.

CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER (2014)

Captain America: The Winter Soldier doesn’t feel like a comic book movie. And that’s a very, very good thing.

Not that there is anything wrong with comic book movies. It’s just that often, because of the fantastical elements usually involved in the stories of superheroes and their diabolical arch nemeses, the audience is used to suspending their disbelief from the moment the opening credits scroll. With The Winter Soldier, sibling directors Anthony and Joe Russo breathe new life into a genre that some may quickly be tiring of, effectively changing the game and pushing the boundaries of what comic book movies are capable of. The film unfolds in thrilling, rhythmic fashion, spinning a tantalizing tale of spies, secrets and a super soldier who gets a shocking blast from the past. This is still a comic book movie, and in every frame Cap never ceases to remind viewers that there’s a reason he’s dubbed The First Avenger. However, Winter Soldier feels like a grown-up comic book movie, with threats that aren’t as simple as a bad guy who wants to take over the world, and ideas that are very relevant in the increasingly paranoid society we are part of. Imagine if The Bourne Ultimatum and Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy had a baby and it grew up in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The film takes place a little after the events in The Avengers, where S.H.I.E.L.D. has now grown in size and influence due to the organization’s efforts in the Battle of New York. Nick Fury (Samuel L Jackson), head of the organization and ever the international man of mystery, sends Captain America (Chris Evans), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and a group of S.H.I.E.L,D. commandos to resolve a hostage situation involving Algerian pirates. Cap expertly swoops in to save the day in what seems like a run-of-the-mill save-the-innocents exercise, only to find that there was more to the mission than he was told. When Fury, the man with usually most of the answers is ferociously attacked, Cap enlists Black Widow and former military man Sam Wilson (aka The Falcon, and played by Anthony Mackie) to help him get to the bottom of the mysteries behind S.H.I.E.L.D. Not only does he uncover the shadowy organization’s dirty laundry, but he also discovers the existence of an intimidating figure known as The Winter Soldier, a formidable enemy who has been responsible for a slew of assassinations and fatal incidents in the last 75 years. Cap has to untangle an intricate web of lies with S.H.I.E.L.D. at its center, and face enemies from his past.

The Winter Soldier is perhaps one of Marvel’s best to date, packed with high-octane action, well-choreographed fight sequences, and a return to the roots of superheroes: namely the idea that it doesn’t necessarily take something super for anyone to be a hero. S.H.I.E.LD. is at the heart of the story and, well-trained as their agents may be, they are still human and therefore especially prone to manipulation, infiltration and defeat at the hands of forces greater than they. The audience is reminded that in the real world, war has a very real cost, and as such more people are especially needed to stand up to those who operate on a code of, to borrow Mass Effect’s phrase, “ruthless calculus” - a sacrifice of the lives of millions to save billions. And who best to carry the mantle of regular Joes (and Janes) doing extraordinary things than the First Avenger himself?

SHINee World 2017 Fukui Day Two–170129

Yesterday, for a little bit from the beginning Jonghyun didn’t change his position and kept his hand in his pocket without moving, but today Jonghyun moved his upper body a lot did and the choreography with his right wrist. It was serious but somehow had a loosening feeling, his smile and voice were soft so it was really relieving.

You were just done cooking in your kitchen when you felt your phone vibrated a few times in the pouch of your apron. You quickly washed your hands and reached for your phone. Looking at the phone, you smiled at the message. It was your dorky and cheesy boyfriend.

Babe, come over please?

Y/N baby~

I miss you so much, cmere please

12:00 PM

Knowing that EXO would have a practice today at 3 AM, you prepared for their late lunch.

***

Putting a mask on your face, and a cap to support your attempt, preventing the sasaeng fans of EXO to examine your identity. Not forgot to bring the lunch boxes. Your house to EXO’s dorm was just a few blocks away. You walked to their house, visiting them again for the second time this week, granting Chanyeol’s wish for you to come over.

Arrived at their place, you rang the bell and leaned on the door, putting the lunch boxes down, waiting the door open. Suddenly the door was pulled open, you nearly had your back colliding with the hard floor, but fortunately Baekhyun caught your back and grinned, “Be careful, Y/N.” You stood up properly and gave him a bro-hug, he was the closest member of EXO you were be friended with beside Chanyeol, your own boyfriend. You poked his side and tilted your head to the thing you brought, beckoning him to help you bring them in. He sighed and you laughed at his antics.

“What is this, Y/N?”

“Ah, it’s your lunch I made at home for your practice.” You said.

You were looking for Chanyeol, intending to examine the dorm, not wanting to call him away. When you were about to start, Baekhyun halted your intention and asked you to watch a movie with him, Jongdae, and Minseok. You wanted to resist, but you haven’t watched the movie too, so you postpone your plan to look out for him at the dorm. Baekhyun patted the seat next to him, gesturing you to sit beside him. You sat and settled. Jongdae clicked “Play” on the remote, and the movie started.

Half an hour later, you and the guys were starting to get bored. Ignoring the film, you and Baekhyun started to talk about random things. You talked about how cheesy Chanyeol was when he was away from her, at the other country, on concert. You both laughed at his dumbness too. “He did miss you a lot, Y/N” he nodded and smiled, and with that your conversation turned into the topic of Chanyeol.

 ***

“Why hasn’t she come yet? It’s been 40 minutes. It’s impossible for her to reach the dorm for 40 minutes.” He ruffled his hair and tossed himself on his bed. Turning his head, checking his phone and knowing you haven’t replied or called, he decided to walk downstairs and look out for you.

You remembered your purpose of coming, you paused the conversation and told Baekhyun that you will go upstairs for Chanyeol. You walked upstairs and met Chanyeol’s worried eyes. “I thought something happened to you.” putting both hands on your shoulders and sighed.

“Did you just arrive?” furrowing his eyebrow.

“No, I arrived half an hour ago.” You smiled, liking the fact he was worried of you, the sign of Chanyeol’s care.

He nodded and saw Baekhyun on the couch, watching a movie. You followed his eyes’ direction, “Yeah, we watched a movie together for a few minutes with the others.” He was a bit surprised, but let it pass in understanding.

So you both walked downstairs together, welcomed with a smile of Baekhyun. The three of you sat together on the couch Baekhyun had sat first. You sat in the middle of the two. Chanyeol’s arm trailed on your back and his hand landed on your waist. Baekhyun started a conversation with you again, you turned your back to Chanyeol and you both talked about lots of things. You both even ignoring the television again, earning a scoff from Chanyeol.

“Babe-” You were too busy talking about stupid things with Baekhyun.

“Babe.”

“Babe!” stopping in the middle of the words, you turned your head “Yes, Channie?”

He wondered why how you could be so clueless. He felt jealous, and thinking as it was a game, so he released the grip on your waist and wanted to do revenge once they had their practice.

It was 2:45 PM, they started to go to the SM Building. Chanyeol invited you to come, and you agreed, because why not?

The 14 of you got in the car with the manager. The drive took ten minutes to the SM Building. Chanyeol sat beside you, it was unusual for you to see him being quite. But you decided to ignore it.

It wasn’t your first trip going to the SM Building along with the guys. You had done it a lot with them. Drowning in the memory of you and EXO, you didn’t realized you all had arrive.

You brought the food in with the guys and the all of you entered the building, you bowed to the staffs as you walked beside Chanyeol and going in to the practice room together.

They all practiced to the song have never heard before. They were practicing with the trainees. Each boys dance with a female trainee. You were okay with that, you were okay with Chanyeol dancing with another girl, because you knew he loved you.

Your mindset changed when the choreography got a little bit touchy, crossing some line in your perspective. Chanyeol saw the frown on your face and smirked. This is my revenge, he thought. You shook your head and brushed it off, not wanting to seem immature because you knew your age. The trainee seemed younger than you, you could guess she was born in 1995. She is so young so there’s no possibility. You said to yourself and sighed.

You left the room to the toilet to pee and calm yourself. You saw your reflection on the mirror, “What am I thinking?” you cried to yourself as you put both your palms to your face, covering it because you thought you were being so childish. You wiped your streaming tears and waiting for it to stop.

Chanyeol on the other side was bewildered. You weren’t there, where are you? He glanced at Baekhyun’s position, and he was there, not with you. He shrugged it off and continued dancing the ending part of the song.

He continued his plan in revenge. Jongin and Sehun, the youngest maknae distributed the food you made. Chanyeol knew you made it because the lunch boxes were yours. He took the food that was distributed and gestured the trainee to sit beside her, she was confused but giggled, ignoring the fact that he had already had a girlfriend.

“Chanyeol-ah, where’s Y/N?” asked Junmyeon in concern.

“I don’t know. Probably, going to the toilet.” he said in response while feeding the trainee his food.

“What the heck are you doing? You feed another girl!?” Baekhyun deadpanned in anger with the food muffled in his mouth. The eleven guys looking at him, disappointed. They weren’t just disappointed, they were surprised too to see Chanyeol and Baekhyun arguing since they both were known to be the closest to each other.

Chanyeol got no chance to answer as the door knob twisted open, seeing your eyes landed on his hand in front of the girl’s opened mouth. Your heart clenched at the sight, suddenly feeling your breath was hitched. You grabbed the door knob, wishing your anger could immediately vanish the moment you felt like breaking it. The trainee was still looking at him with pleading eyes when his eyes were looking at you with full of guilty. He shouldn’t have felt guilty if your eyes weren’t red, but unfortunately, they were.

You left the room, running, deciding to go home by yourself. You held back your tears, aware of Chanyeol’s presence as he ran to chase you.

“Y/N!”

“Y/N-ah” voice echoed in the hallway as he summoned your name.

You stopped running. Breathless as your heart beating so hard, beating because you were tired of running and because you felt betrayed. Chanyeol stopped a meter behind you, hand reaching for your shoulder, but he dropped it back to his side. You turned your back and slapped him on his face with your sob as the song in the back of the threatening moment.

Your wondered how your tears found its way to the corner of your eyes. Chanyeol tried to wipe it with his thumb, but you jerked it off before he touched your now moist skin. Wiping it yourself, trying to look strong in the outside.

“I-I’m sorry It was-“ he fell on his knees.

“Chanyeol, I think we’re done.” avoiding his eyes.

He was about to prevent it to happen, but you’ve gone.

“But- I love you.” He cried.

A scenario where you're one of the Pledis girl trainees who's super talented in dancing, but for some reason you're uncomfortable dancing with guys and your performance always decreases when you dance with them. So the CEO partners you with Soonyoung and told Soonyoung to teach you dance and practice with you until you're comfortable dancing with guys. Make it super cute and fluffy please, with awkward moments and such? Thank you!

“Good job, everyone!” your dance teacher exclaimed while applauding you and the other girl trainees who had just finished a set of choreographies successfully. You got an additional look of approval from her; after all, you were among the most talented trainees. You smiled at her and sat down on the floor, reaching for your water bottle while the teacher went through a stack of papers.

“Like we’ve been discussing, for the last song you’ll be dancing with Seventeen. Y/N, you’ll be dancing with Mingyu,” your teacher started, and while your mind wandered away to what was to come, she continued listing the other girls’ pairs. You didn’t have a lot of experience from dancing with guys, but the few times you could remember hadn’t gone all that well, so you were a bit nervous. …Okay, very nervous.

Little by little, the members of Seventeen started coming to the practice room and you and the others greeted them with respectful bows while the teacher started pointing out the pairs. Mingyu walked to you and gave you a smile that you returned hesitantly.

“What’s up?” he asked while you waited for further instructions, and you tucked some of your hair behind your ear and shrugged.

“Tough practice, as per usual,” you said with a quiet chuckle, shying away from Mingyu when he got a bit closer. The teacher ordered you to take your positions and started to go through the choreography step by step - as you had feared, the amount of contact was rather heavy, including Mingyu having to pull you flush against himself and generally swaying to the music with his body pressed against yours.

You felt awfully uneasy and overly conscious about everything you did; your feet felt as though they had heavy weights on them and your usually naturally smooth moves were suddenly very stiff. All in all, nothing was going right, and the frown on your teacher’s face only increased with every

“Y/N, is everything okay?” Mingyu asked with concern when he tried to twirl you, only for you to nearly fall down to the floor with a yelp. You bit your lip and nodded while uneasiness spread throughout your body.

“Yeah, I’m just–”

“Y/N, what on earth is going on?! Seriously, you’re one of our best trainees yet you become absolutely horrendous when there’s a boy involved?” You winced at your teacher’s sharp, clearly disapproving tone, and lowered your head in shame. “You’re dismissed for today, I’ll talk with the CEO about this.”

“Yes…” you mumbled and left the room as quickly as you could, dozens of concerned eyes following you. Mingyu frowned to himself, but Soonyoung’s eyebrows rose in curiosity as he stood next to one of your fellow trainees, his head slightly tilted to the left as he watched you go.

The following day, you were practicing the pair choreography on your own when you spotted your CEO from the mirror with Soonyoung standing next to him, both looking at you intently. You stopped immediately and turned around, and the two approached you.

“Y/N, this is Soonyoung,” the CEO said, although you already knew who the light-haired male was, and he cleared his throat. “As you should know, he’s a very talented dancer. From now on you’ll dance with him and him only until you get more comfortable with dancing with males. I know how good you are, and your potential shouldn’t be wasted just because of that.”

Your cheeks were heating up as he spoke, and all you could give him was a nod and a rushed “Yes.”

Soonyoung smiled brightly at you and excitement was practically flowing out of him. After the CEO had left, Soonyoung walked closer to you and laughed a little.

“Where do we start?” he asked and looked into your eyes, which took you aback. You collected yourself as fast as you could and suggested you’d just start doing the choreography from the previous day, which he immediately agreed with.

“But first…” Soonyoung mumbled to himself and reached for your hands. You jumped a little at the sudden contact and looked down at your linked hands.

“I really want to apologize for what’s to come,” you said with a heavy sigh, which earned a short laugh from the male. He shook his head.

“It’s fine, dancing with girls wasn’t easy for me in the beginning, either,” he admitted sheepishly and began swaying your hands a little. Your eyebrows rose at his confession and you started to slowly persuade yourself to relax.

“What helped you?” you asked quietly, both of your bodies now swaying in time with the hands in between you. Soonyoung let out a wondering sound and pulled you closer all of a sudden, causing you to yelp.

“Facing things head-on,” he said with a grin and only laughed when you pulled away. “Sorry about that.”

You shook your head, your heart hammering in your chest and blood rushing to your cheeks. “It’s nothing.”

You moved back closer to him and he patted your head. “It’ll be fine. Just know that none of us will ever do any harm to you, okay?”

You nodded and sighed before turning around and having Soonyoung wrap his arms around your waist; one of the parts in the choreography that you most dreaded.

“Is there a reason you feel so uncomfortable dancing with guys?” he asked and tried to have your now tense body relax a little, although he didn’t quite manage to do so. You looked at you two through the mirror and did your best to sway your body, but the movements were barely noticeable due to all the tension in your body.

“I don’t know, I just… feel a bit uncomfortable, that’s all,” you muttered and placed your hands on top of Soonyoung’s arms, opening them and stepping away from him like in the choreography, before taking one of his hands into yours. He pouted with a frown.

“Well, I hope I’ll be able to change that,” he said with a bright smile as he twirled you, bringing you back closer to him after you had, once again, almost fallen to the floor. You laughed a little, still tense, but with your mind more at peace.

You danced for hours, talking almost the whole time, since you had both agreed on that you should get to know each other better in order for the dancing to go well.

“Whoops, got you,” Soonyoung laughed when it was already ten in the evening and you had almost lost your balance. He held you in his arms and smiled down at you. Mortified, you pulled away from him and let out a nervous giggle, holding your hot ears with your hands. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the first or the last time something like that happened during your long practice session. You’d step on his feet and unconsciously slap his hands off your body, but rather than being bothered by it, Soonyoung laughed every single time, and you couldn’t thank him enough for that.

As embarrassed as you felt, you were eternally glad for having him help you - he was patient and comfortable to be around, and by the time you stopped, which was at 4am, your body was already noticeably less tense while dancing and he had to dictate your movements a lot less often

“We’ll do this again tomorrow,” Soonyoung said while sweeping sweat off his forehead and panting a little. You gave him an exhausted smile and a nod; you couldn’t wait, and besides, you had no other option.

It took you two full weeks of intense practicing with Soonyoung to finally dance as well with him as you did on your own. On the last day of those two weeks, your CEO stood by the door and smiled to himself in approval. He interrupted your practice for a moment - you and Soonyoung immediately created a two-meter gap between you two - and gave you the news that made both you and Soonyoung smile widely.

“Your chemistry is definitely something else… Y/N, it’s been decided that you’ll do the dance with Soonyoung instead of Mingyu. Keep up the great work, both of you.”

Your initial reaction was to jump to hug Soonyoung, which he accepted, although he was definitely surprised while wrapping his arms around you, his nervous laughter filling the air.

“I really like y– dancing with you,” you said and were ready to bite your tongue off when you almost blurted out something you definitely did not want to. Soonyoung snickered and ruffled your already slightly messy hair.

“Let’s show everyone what you’re made of,” he grinned, proud of the improvement in your dancing with him during the two weeks. He knew you were good, and it made him happy that you could now reach your full potential even while dancing with a guy.

You shook your head a little and let go of him, your cheeks a bit red. “I don’t think I could be as comfortable if it was someone else.”

Soonyoung’s grin softened into a warm smile and he nodded, his heart warm. “I know.”
