they are so beautiful in this movie

Beauty and the Beast Prequel?

”There are currently no plans for a sequel and the studio — perhaps with Alice Through The Looking Glass as a reminder — won’t try to force one. It will explore possible spinoff and prequel scenarios, Bailey [President of Production at Walt Disney Pictures] said.” - (x)

WHO DO I HAVE TO BRIBE TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN?!!!

‘I SAW BEAUTY AND THE BEAST TWO NIGHTS AGO AND I STILL CAN’T HELP GUSHING OVER HOW BEAUTIFUL THE MOVIE WAS

-i wanted to scream the moment i saw the castle in the beginning

-that prologue??? i like how they kept adam’s real face a mystery, as he was hidden behind the layers of make up.

-’belle’ ahhhhh

-i was expecting that emma would have auto-tuned her voice because of the audio they had released months before the premiere, but boy did it surprise me.

-’belle’ was so nostalgic i had to refrain myself from singing along in the cinema.

-maurice wasn’t only an inventor, he was also an artist. and belle wasn’t only a bibliophile, she was also an inventor (witty belle, creating probably the first washing machine)

-emma’s grunt after the line ‘madame gaston, his little wife’

-philippe was loyal af, esp in the scene where maurice was almost trapped by the wolves and philippe had waited for him to jump. if you were to get a horse, pick one that is as loyal as philippe.

-i love how the beast couldnt care less if maurice had used his stuff, had eaten, had heated up by the fire, had trespassed in his castle but lost all his temper the moment maurice had cut a rose from his rose garden.

-im not sure if its me, or the village felt small and congested, i was hoping for a more field-like village, the one i got used to in the animated version.

-BE OUR GUEST, BE OUR GUEST AHHHHHH and was disney telling us that Aladdin will be the next film to have a live action movie???

-adam’s ‘are-you-fucking-kidding-me’ eye roll at the mention of romeo and juliet being belle’s favorite book.

-’i had an expensive education’ OH YEAH I THINK THE CREATORS OF THE ANIMATED FILM HAD FORGOTTEN THAT HE WAS A PRINCE AND SHOULD HAVE HAD EXPENSIVE EDUCATION (OR AT LEAST HE SHOULD KNOW HOW TO READ)

-’some of them in greek’. ADAM IS A BIBLIOPHILE AND HE GAVE BELLE THE LIBRARY !!!!!!

-belle’s laughter adam gave her the library.

-my poor baby lefou

-i ship gafou im sorry

-ewan mcgregor’s french accent is en pointe???

-AUDRA MCDONALD, JOSH GAD AND HARRIET JONES (SHE PLAYED ADAM’S MOTHER) !!!!!!!! I LOVE THIS CAST

-i love how adam still dresses like a prince even in his beast form, ummm that waistcoat in something there and the scene where they had walked into the bridge was fine man.

-that paris scene, thank you so much for giving us so much more than the animated film has given. also, prince adam’s back story about how he has grown to be a spoiled prince. thank you, thankyou, disney.

-EMMA THOMPSON SINGING BATB HUHUHUHU AND THEM DANCING WAS THE MOST NOSTALGIC PART OF THE MOVIE I WANTED TO CRY SO BAD MY TWO SMOL CHILDREN

-gaston definitely wins asshole of the year, although i like how they put more depth into gaston’s character

-lmao when maurice talked to the driver as if nothing happened, that was hilarious.

-the cursed furniture wouldn’t have been hurt if they had stayed silent and dead, but they had fought to protect adam while he’s lamenting over his loss. his servants loved him albeit his attitude towards them.

-when gaston showed up with a gun, adam literally did nothing, and you can just see his heart breaking by looking into his eyes

-umm agathe? what are you doing? whose side are you on? is this kind of a test or something?

-’MR. POTTS!’

-how old is adam? why is his age not mentioned in the movie? i know he should have someone love him by the age of 21, as from the animated film, but they did not mention it? and why hadnt they mentioned his name???

-’come back, i love you’

-THE MOMENT ADAM TURNED AROUND OKAY DAM ADAM YOU A FINE PRINCE.

-le fou dancin with stanley made me so happy

-the growl™

Spent the majority of this morning’s phone conversation with my mom gushing about Beauty and the Beast and why we loved the movie and plan to see it again.

#1: Dan Stevens as the beast was flawless and adorable and he’s perfection.

#2: Josh Gad can do no wrong.

#3: Kevin Kline was PHENOMENAL as the dad and seriously excellent in his performance.

#4: Luke Evans made us HATE Gaston, but he was SO.GOOD.AT.IT.

lunarwolfspn  asked:

Could you do a Gaston x reader where he survives and people are rude to him but the reader gives him a chance and they fall for each other. The reader only give him a chance bc she felt bad for the way he was being treated. Thank you.

Pairing: Gaston x Reader

                                                          *****

“Get out of this village, you scum!” he was thrown into the mud on the ground, several men and women standing around him with angry glares on their faces.

He had never been treated this way, so he didn’t know how to act.

Should he fight them?

But then again, he was one, they were many. He doubted anyone would stand by his side if he did indeed fight. Even LeFou had parted from him. He was on his own now and he couldn’t fight an entire village like that, so fighting back wasn’t an option.

Should he insult them?

And then what? What good what that do him?

They would never forgive him for what he did and insults wouldn’t change that fact.

So instead of doing any of those things, he held his – probably broken – ribs and started walking.

Just wondering, why do you hate the live action Beauty and the Beast so much??? All of my friends that have already seen it loved it. And a close friend of mine is planning for our group to go see it for her birthday over the weekend.

Ok so I’m gonna make this a bulleted reply because I’ve got so many…

• Emma Watson’s singing was a huge turn off for me. I didn’t like her singing at all. I don’t know if Disney changed her voice because she was bad at singing or just because they could, but it was a bad move. She sounds robotic or metallic and it bothered me through the whole movie.

• Emma Watson changed the dress because she didn’t like that she couldn’t move well in it like if she had to fight in it. Like, you use a dress to dance in, not fight. And she changed how it looked visually. It looks like Michael’s puked on a cheap prom dress that no one wanted because the design was crap and the quality was even worse. When they revealed her in her full dress I was kind of expecting it to be a cool reveal and I was so disappointed. The bodice looks like cheap fabric that was super glued together, the actual dress looks like a ridged banana, and the glitter glue on it made me think of my 3rd grade arts and craft class. The dress was supposed to be Belle’s most beauty and enchanting moment and she looked hideous.

• Emma Watson made Belle really mean in this movie. She was unnecessarily harsh and negatively emotive. In the original, Belle was much kinder and had a sense of dignity about her. In the original when Belle was being hounded by Gaston in her house, she let him down rather gently as compared to this movie when she’s basically screaming at him when he makes small talk with her.

• Beast’s design was way too human in my opinion. He looked like a furry. I just didn’t like how they designed him.

• Belle and Beast interacting felt fake and pushed. Every time they were together it felt like they knew they had to have a certain outcome, but the chemistry between the actors just wasn’t there. It was really cringey to watch.

• Her skirt was hiked up on one side because they thought it would be easier for her to get on Philipe with one side already folded up. Hint: if they were not complete dunces then they would know you can get on a horse without having to hike up a dress. And they never actually showed her getting on Philipe so it was just awkward seeing her undergarments. It felt unnatural, didn’t fit the time period, and looked like she was flashing everyone she met.

• Emma Watson’s acting was stiff like a board. She was worse than Kirsten Stewart. I hated how she acted in this movie. Anytime she interacted with other character’s it either fell flat or she was overly expressive. There was no in between. She was a mess.

• They made LaFou gay because progressivism. I don’t mind that he was a gay character, but if LaFou was gay in that time the town’s people would have shunned him at best and killed him at worst.

• The Beast’s gift was coincidence and not out of genuine heartfelt caring. The library was supposed to be his gesture of beginning to care for Belle. It was supposed to be this turning point in the movie where you could see something blooming between the both of them, but in the new movie it was the Beast just making a point. It fell on it’s face, hard.

• Emma Watson changed so much of Belle’s original character. Belle is supposed to be this caring and compassionate character that shows the Beast that he doesn’t have to be a jerk to everyone. However, Emma made Belle to be this “independent” woman and she came across as a jerk herself.

• Gaston wasn’t a jerk for like half of the movie. They made it obvious that he wanted to marry her, but whenever he spoke to her for the first half of the movie, she would just scream at him for making small talk. Then during the other half it was like the director remembered that Gaston was the villain of the movie and made him mean. It also felt pushed and was fake.

There’s probably more that I can’t think of right now, but this is the bulk of what made it a terrible remake.

More Beauty and the Beast things

belle’s face when she saw the library

the face that adam got so pissed she liked romeo and juliet that he gave her a whole fucking library.

that whole dance scene

the fact we got some moments of sexual tension between adam and belle, (when she was reading to him, and he smiled at her they looked at each other for like five seconds and then they were like why am i falling for this person)

belle takes care of adam in the west wing, a whle new intimacy we never saw in the animated movie.

the beast shirtless o.O

maurice paints adam and bele dancing

the fact that the villagers were just the people from the ballroom scene in the beginning and they were cursed so they lived just a few miles from the castle

THE GROWL I AM DECEASED

STANLEY WALKING OFF LIKE A PRO IN WOMAN’S CLOTHING

LAFOU’S BITE MARK

Let’s talk about the backstory parallels between Belle and the Prince

(yes, this will spoil the backstory, so stop reading now if you haven’t seen this masterfully done adaptation of a movie)

First up, is anyone else annoyed by ppl saying that the movie’s nice but they basically just copied the animated one? Bec hell no. Fyt me. The backstories are amazing and subtle, and what truly sold this movie to me just a while ago.

To those who haven’t stopped reading even t the risk of spoilers, turn back before it’s too late!

Too late. The parallels between the prince’s and belle’s upbringings!!! Both of their mothers were taken away from them at a young age–presumably both by sickness. They’re two sides of a coin because of their fathers.

Belle, smart and kind, raised by the effing best M A U R I C E. She’s headstrong, mature and educated.

Beast/Prince (he is not a beast, sorry), tantrum-throwing and immature, raised by his dick of a father into his own likeness, an entitled snob.

(idk this just reminds me of the parallels between Peter Pettigrew and Neville Longbottom <3 )

BatB movie headcanon: Maestro Cadenza and Madame Garderobe

So, you know how in the movie Maestro Cadenza and Madame Garderobe, husband and wife, cannot see each other because they were transformed into rather large pieces of furniture and transported to different corners of castle (and I say transported because they were literally standing next to each other when the curse was cast)?

During the attack on the castle, Madame Garderobe is suddenly able to come to rescue of her husband. And at first I was asking HOW IN THE WORLD. But then I remembered that the castle was slowly falling apart. By the time of the attack, Belle’s room could be in ruins (remember that the door to her chamber was pretty small) and Madame was finally FREE! <3

“I have weird thoughts. Like sometimes I want to go sleep in the woods or in the basement of an abandoned house during the day and only come out at night and be, like, a monster and, like, beautiful.” Lori M. Horror movies. Trains.

I really like Lori Meyers from Night in the Woods. I mean, I like most of the characters, they are awesome, but Lori is just so nice and cute and weird. I couldn’t resist.

anonymous asked:

What did you think of beauty and the beast?

Short answer: I’d go see it again, y'all should go see it.

Long answer: ok so movie has mega points for not being too white. There were a lot of Black characters that were not just servants.

Lefou was definitely not the goofy “fool” character, or overly pining for his abusive “friend.” While he had about two seconds of an explicit gay scene, he definitely was coded strongly throughout the whole movie (whether that was positive or negative I really can’t say, but it made my homophobic mother uncomfortable the whole time lmao.)

Everything was lovely, I really liked it a lot.

My biggest problems were honestly Emma’s singing, the fact that the Beast looked like a horned man who hadn’t shaved in ten years, and that Gaston wasn’t beefy enough.

I’m not much for overwhelming heterosexuality, but unlike in the cartoon, I was feeling the relationship in the movie and actually rooting for it.

And, the thought that made me wish I unthought it immediately, was “tumblr is going to want to fuck the candle,” and then “dammit I’m probably right there with them.” So fuck this movie for that.

well it’s been a few days so i guess it’s alright to post this so here’s some of my thoughts on the live action BatB

tl;dr: I liked some of the new things, but I’m….. salty about others.

SPOILERS under the cut! mobile users please scroll through this! (sORRY it’s pretty long, I didn’t mean for it to get so long wOOPS;;; )
