PRE-ORDER THE WHITE SUITS #1 FROM YOUR LOCAL COMIC SHOP NOW!
So here’s the deal:
Many other writers have written posts about why pre-orders are so important (and dare I say the lifeblood of our industry). Essentially, pre-orders tell retailers how many copies of a comic they should order, which is VERY IMPORTANT as comics are NON-RETURNABLE. Meaning if a retailer over orders, they’re stuck with comics they can’t sell, and everyone loses.
The flip side of this is that when you are a smaller creator (such as myself), retailers don’t know how much demand there is going to be for your comic. That’s why it’s SUPER IMPORTANT that you, our wonderful readers, head to a local comic shop and PRE-ORDER. This simply involves asking whatever fine retail associate works in the store to hold a copy of the book for you. The should be able to identify the book by its title (THE WHITE SUITS), or you can give them this code: DEC130110.
This is the ideal way for the comic market to work. It gets more wonderful folks into comic shops, helps retailers identify the demand for the book, and ensures you get a copy of THE WHITE SUITS #1.
If you can’t find a local comic shop, check out comicshoplocator.com and find your way!
Thanks! It’s because of you guys we get to make our crazy comics, so we couldn’t be more thankful.
