MCL Hogwarts Tag╰☆╮

Rules: This is for your Candy. Fill with what your Candy could answer. If you have more than one candy or a genderbent, you can do this for them too.

I was tagged by: @zurysalvatore and @kasdya thank you so much💙 ^^

And since number seven has magic properties in the wizarding world, tag at least 7 other blogs:
@r-sweti, @literallysubjective@justanothermclblog, @annon35, @mcl-limos, @docete-warrior, @mizukiinozomii@docetedesequilibrada@giccix, @vrael-mcl… uh, I think I tagged more than 7 x’D. If you already did it or you just don’t want to feel free to ignore ^^U and if anyone else wants to do it you can say that I tagged you~

Say “Hi!”: Uhm… hey there! I’m Liz ^^

What house did you get sorted into: Ravenclaw

Are you a muggleborn, an half-blood or a pureblood: I’m a half-blood, my mother is a wizard and my father is a muggle.

Of which elements your wand is made: Pear wood with a unicorn hair core 11 ½" and hard flexibility·

  • Pear wood: This golden-toned wood produces wands of splendid magical powers, which give of their best in the hands of the warm-hearted, the generous and the wise. Possessors of pear wands are, in my experience, usually popular and well-respected. There is no known case of a pear wood wand that has been in the hands of a dark wizard or witch. The pear wands are among the most resistant and can often still have a new appearance even though they have been used extensively for many years.·
  • Unicorn hair: Unicorn hair generally produces the most consistent magic, and is least subject to fluctuations and blockages. Wands with unicorn cores are generally the most difficult to turn to the Dark Arts. They are the most faithful of all wands, and usually remain strongly attached to their first owner, irrespective of whether he or she was an accomplished witch or wizard. Minor disadvantages of unicorn hair are that they do not make the most powerful wands (although the wand wood may compensate) and that they are prone to melancholy if seriously mishandled, meaning that the hair may ‘die’ and need replacing.

What pet do you have (owl, cat, toad): I have a grey owl named “Dynamite”.

What is your favourite class: Transfiguration, Alchemy and Magical Theory

What is your patronous: Granian Winged Horse.

You are in any extra curricular activites (quidditch, dueling club, herbology club, potions club, gobstones club, chess club, Lumaclub…): Herbology and Potions club.

You are or will be a prefect/headgirl/captain of the quidditch team/ecc: Not really, too much stress.

Do you have any special ability (parseltongue, divination ability…): I’m a seer.

You are a troublemaker, the first of your class, both, the one who blows things: I’m the first of my class, such a nerdy girl.

Do you often get detention: No way. Boring good girl.

What do you want to do after Hogwarts: I’m not totally sure yet, but I’m kind of interested in being a teacher in a wizarding educational institution.

Would you participate in the Triwizard Tournament (without Voldemort and Harry Potter of course): Totally! I can be pretty competitive.

Your favourite teacher: Ms. McGonagall.

Your favourite fantastic beast: Thunderbird.

Your favourite spell: Bluebell Flames.

What would Amortentia smell for you: Morning dew, puppy’s breath, chocolate, warm bread and freshly fallen snow.

Covers of Cursed Child 2017/18

The thing that makes this cast so outstanding is the way that every single person on the stage is so deeply invested in the story and in the characters. There’s an astounding level of care and attention that, when combined with the level of talent, makes for a pretty incredible show.

All this is true not just for the main cast, but also for the covers. This show has always had brilliant covers, they have always been excellent actors, but in this cast the covers have a level of understanding of the characters that makes every single one of them a complete joy to watch. There are some characters that matter so much to me, and when I started seeing the covers for this cast there was a sense of fear that someone who wasn’t playing them full time might not have had time to fully understand them, but with this cast there is no any danger of this. There isn’t a single weak link. Every single cast board seems to be ‘the best cast board ever’, and I love that.

So here are some quick summaries of all the covers I’ve seen (at least one actor for all the roles apart from Ron, Dumbledore, Craig, Bane, and the Station Master). I hope this is useful for anyone who hasn’t seen them and wants to know what they’re like! And I can’t wait to see some of these people take over full time next year.

That Harry Potter fandom feel when you run across an otherwise good writer who insists on ruining their own work by being terribly clever and snide about the Harry Potter series and how bad it really is and “proving” it by constantly lamp-shading what they feel are weakness in the books. Or by derailing their own story by including an out-of-character argument between two characters that’s really an argument between the author and JK Rowling.

All of this superiority to the source material is so fucking tiring sometimes. I promise guys all these points you’re making are not new, people were pointing out that Dumbledore is problematic by the time book 5 was out, I promise it’s not a revolutionary thought.

And yeah, I realize it’s a little absurd that they don’t teach math at Hogwarts, but… you guys… that’s the point. These started as CHILDREN’S BOOKS. Specifically as a magical fantasy take on the very established British genre of school stories. So like, yes they don’t have a math class. That’s the point. It’s a fantasy where instead of having to go to regular school you get to go to WIZARD SCHOOL !! where you learn charms instead of maths and potions instead of chemistry and they teach you to fly a broomstick.

And it’s not that I think you shouldn’t ever criticize or be critical, but I keep running across these stories where otherwise totally cute well written stories are being ruined by their author’s rush to be the Most-Clever-and-Critical™ of them all.

So just… don’t let your own complaints about the source material taint your ability to write your own good story okay? I promise it’s okay to like something flawed without constantly pointing out every flaw all the time.

“examinations finished, the pressure of homework lifted….it was too hard to forgo his best source of comfort” - hbp, p634

awhile ago i saw a couple in boston common lounging like this who looked suspiciously (and by that i mean almost exactly, like the-dude-was-wearing-this-exact-outfit kind of exactly) like harry and ginny and i got really emotional about two strangers and their carefree afternoon i hope they had a good day

how i fan

lvl 1 - watch a new show

  • sort characters into hogwarts houses
  • sort characters into the four nations from avatar

  • figure out the jaeger pilot pairs

lvl 2 - i really like the characters

  • figure out their patronus

lvl 3 - i really like this universe!

  • sort new shows into this show’s universe

rinse. repeat.
