Took me a couple days but it’s time.
To anyone who watched Cville from a far, I want to remind you of something.
What that coward did plowing into a crowd of people from the safety of his car and then retreating to safety was not only an act of cowardice but an act of desperation. With 95% of news reports focusing on the attack, there has been very little coverage of how the rest of the day went for the Nazis, so consider this a PSA.
Make no mistake, Charlottesville was an unconditional defeat for the Nazis and the Fash. The day started out with hundreds of Nazis occupying Emancipation Park fully outfitted in makeshift riot gear and surrounded by a contingent of right wing militia in full battle rattle. It ended with 700+ antifascist protestors marching on the final 70 Nazis that were stupid enough to not leave the city. Antifascist demonstrators, outnumbered close to 4 to 1, literally fought an uphill battle through a single choke point against an army of assholes with shields, clubs, and a seemingly endless supply of OC spray with little more than our fists and our flags. The Nazis said they were going to hold Emancipation park and we choked them with their words. Within an hour, the park belonged to Charlottesville again, and the Fash were on the run in all directions. On multiple occasions I saw groups of maybe 5 or 6 protestors chasing off groups of Nazis five to eight times their size.
Festivities began at probably around 930 or 10 and by 1130, the entirety of downtown Cville belonged to Charlottesville, thanks to all of the various groups and individuals that came out to defend it. Once victory in the park was assured and the Nazis completed their general retreat, packed into their church vans and got the fuck out of dodge, all of the Cville defenders regrouped, rehydrated, and answered a call to defend a small group of protestors from approximately 70 Fash that were harassing them. We stepped off by the hundreds and marched with impunity through downtown with cheering from the sidewalks and the cars. About a block away from where the attack occurred, the bloc with which I was a part of converged with another contingent of antifascist protestors, bringing our total number to AT LEAST 700 (I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if it were closer to 1,000).
That’s when the Nazis pulled out their Trump card to try to win the day. This cowardly piece of shit who’s name doesn’t even deserve being written couldn’t cope with the fact that his little group of friends had fucking lost. They came out expecting Berkeley 2 and left in bandages and shame. When the left suffers a defeat, we sit with it, accept it, and learn from it, but these assholes can’t accept that their shitty ‘master race’ is one of utter inferiority and resort to attacking innocent people from the safety of 4,000 pounds of metal.
And even in such a moment of horror, we came out on top. Faced with a situation that none of us expected, street medics and medically trained protestors responded in seconds by the dozens. The following hours long minutes were filled with the greatest acts of compassion for comrades that I have ever witnessed. Medics stayed cool, calm, and collected while providing life saving interventions and preparing accurate and complete patient assessments. By the time EMS arrived, early interventions were mostly complete, and prepared assessments were given allowing triage to be completed accurately but with haste, so that EMS could immediately begin evacing and transporting patients to higher care. It’s a devastating shame that our comrade and fellow worker Heather Heyer had to give the ultimate sacrifice for a cause in which they believed, but I have no doubt that if it weren’t for the actions of the first responders, there would have been several others that would suffer the same fate.
So with that, I would like to conclude this poorly thought out piece of writing with this: Consider the victims of Saturday’s attack. They weren’t a small isolated group of protestors, nor were they in the middle or rear ranks of the bloc marching to the final showdown of the day. They were in the very front. Our comrades were going to be the first to tell the final Nazis that their bullshit isn’t going to stand; not in Cville, not on the East Coast, not in America, and not on the entire fucking planet. Every single one of them is a hero of the highest degree, and don’t fucking forget that. From here on out, we each need to strive to be where they were, to be the tip of the spear against the rise of fascism in this country. So next time you here of a gathering of fascists, be it five or five-hundred, show up. Show up for yourself, show up for all victims of fascism past, present, and future, and show up for Heather Heyer and all our comrades at the front who risked life and limb for our cause and the greater good.
Prior to Saturday, prominent neonazi Richard Spencer said that Charlottesville was going to be a turning point; that “people are going to speak in terms of 'before Charlottesville’ and 'after Charlottesville’”. Let’s show him exactly what that means.
I haven’t seen a post that really depicts the history of Rwanda yet. So here’s my little contribution. By the way, thanks for the posts you reblogged.
Before the colonization, Rwanda was made of three social classes : Tutsi (10-15%), Hutu (over 80%) and Twa (less than 1%). Tutsi (upper social class) were cattle breeders, Hutu were farmers and Twa (lower social class) were hunters. One could become Tutsi or Hutu by marriage for example. They all had the same language, same religion and same culture.
German settlers arrived in Rwanda in the end of 19th century. They thought that Tutsi were more intelligent and more beautiful (according to European beauty standards of course : tall, skinny, light-skinned, thin nose, thin lips etc.). They thought that Hutu were boor, stupid and ugly (again, according to European beauty standards : shorter, huge lips, large nose etc). Twa were very short and seen as a species between humans and monkeys. After losing WWI, Germany gave Rwanda (and Burundi, which is like the twin of Rwanda with same language, same social classes etc) to Belgium. Belgians thought the same as Germans and started to gather all Rwandans and measure their height, their nose, etc to see if they were from the superior race (aka Tutsi) or inferior race (aka Hutu (or Twa but Twa were a very small minority)). Because of that, some Hutu became Tutsi just because they “looked” Tutsi and vice versa. Belgians privileged Tutsi over Hutu. They said only Tutsi could rule the country because they were the only intelligent ones. Tutsi were privileged in administration, education etc. Eventually in the 50s, Tutsi Rwandans asked for independence and Belgians didn’t want to lose their colony so they started to talk to Hutu who’d been discriminated against for a few decades. They said : “Look how Tutsi despise you! They think only they can rule the country but this country is yours! They don’t even come from here, they stole your land (there’s a myth saying that Twa were the first inhabitants in Rwanda, Hutu came from West Africa and Tutsi were the last ones to arrive in Rwanda and forced Hutu to subject to them). You have to rebel against Tutsi supremacy!” So that’s what Hutu did in 1959. The Tutsi King fled. Hutu killed thousands of Tutsi with the support of Belgian settlers and Catholic church, and hundreds thousands of Tutsi had to flee to Uganda and Tanzania. Rwanda became a Republic in 1961 and Rwandans elected a Hutu president named Kayibanda. Finally Rwanda became independent in 1962.
The president Kayibanda was an extremist and under his leadership, thousands of Tutsi were killed in 1963 and in 1972, just for being Tutsi. Their homes were burnt, they were stolen and beaten up. They were fired from their jobs, fired from schools. And hundreds thousands of them fled outside the country. In 1973, a Hutu man staged a coup d'état and became president. His name’s Habyiarimana He seemed a little bit more accepting of Tutsi but he still didn’t want the Tutsi exiles to come back. Because of that, the Tutsi exiles with the help of Hutu political opponents who had also fled created an army called PRF (Patriotic Rwandan Front) to come back to Rwanda by force, in 1987. The PRF declared war against the Rwandan government in 1990 and the war went on until 1994. During those 4 years, innocent Tutsi were killed or imprisonned by the government every time PRF tried to attack the government army. There was a huge propaganda against Tutsi (through the Radio for example) and that propaganda made Hutu think that Tutsi wanted to take back the power like under the Belgian colonization. Therefore, every Tutsi was an enemy.
On April 6, 1994, the president’s plane was shot down. Hutu extremists might be responisble for that. The day after, moderate Hutu were killed by extremist Hutu and the genocide of Tutsi started, which made about 1 million victims in 3 months. Rwanda’s population was about 7 millions at that time. The genocide was planned and organised by the Hutu extremist government (as I said, the moderate members were killed) and executed by militia who recruited Hutu civilians and gave them machetes, grenades, and guns.
France had been an ally of Rwanda since its independence. France helped Rwanda fight back against the PRF during the war until end of 1993. France also trained Rwandan soliders (the army was made of 5,000 men in 1990 and 35,000 men in 1994 because of France). France gave arms and ammunition to Rwanda even after the genocide started. France never asked President Habyirimana to stop discrimination and killings of Tutsi. Actually the French President and Habyirimana were good friends. In June 1994, France decided to take action in Rwanda, officially to save Tutsi but its intention is very contested today and we think their main goal was to not let the PRF win the war, because if they did, Rwanda would become English-speaking (PRF was made of people who grew up in Uganda and Tanzania so they spoke English) instead of French-speaking and France still wanted Rwanda to be French-speaking so that they could have an influence on it. The thing is the PRF was actually liberating Tutsi by chasing the Hutu extremist killers so fighting against them meant letting more Tutsi being killed. France or French politicians have never been sentenced for that.
Belgium also was an ally of Rwanda until 1991 when they stopped supporting Rwanda because of the murders of Tutsi.
While the genocide was happening, even though everyone knew it was a genocide, the UN didn’t want to admit it was, because otherwise they would have had to take action and almost no country wanted to send their soldiers to Rwanda.
I really, really, wanted to emphasize some things: 1. Colonization played a big role in Rwanda self-destruction 2. Tutsi were discriminated against and killed for years before the genocide of 1994 happened 3. The genocide didn’t happen because the president’s plane was shot down. Extermination plans were already known by France and UN for months/years. It is important to remember that, because in the West, people like to think that Hutu turned crazy just because their president was killed and it doesn’t really surprise anyone because “Africans are savage and violent and uncivilised anyways”. 4. The genocide could have been avoided or at least there could have been way less victims if the UN and the rest of the world had cared about the 1 million innocent people who were being slaughtered (mostly Tutsi but also Hutu who tried to protect Tutsi)
If anyone wants to ask questions I’ll be glad to answer.
Sorry you're having a bad day. For you: Maria gave Tony a Bucky Bear when he was a child and when Howard sneered at it she got up in his grill about his attitude toward their TODDLER having a STUFFED ANIMAL so Howard doesn't say another word about it. Tony still has it. It's well worn and soft. An eye and arm have had to be sewn back onto it from all the love its gotten. Steve finds it and Tony sees him holding it and karate chops him to get Bucky Bear back safely. 1/?
Of course Steve’s like wtf Tony you could have just asked for it back is your hand okay? YES it is because he’s holding Bucky Bear with it. Steve is like “all of my whats” but he lets it go and asks about the bear. It doesn’t look like all the other Bucky Bears from back then. And Tony is so proud, his mother stood in line at a toy store for a SPECIAL EDITION Bucky Bear. Only a hundred of them were made. They’re worth thousands in pristine condition. 2/?
Tony’s bear isn’t pristine but he doesn’t care. It’s special to him because his mom waiting in line to get to him. It’s priceless. “Do you still sleep with it?” Steve asks curiously. Tony scoffs at him and says “Absolutely you dolt. Bucky Bear has always been there for me.” Steve melts because that’s so sweet, and he mentions it to Bucky, and Bucky’s like “??? okay buddy I don’t give a fuck about his bear???” And of course Steve snorts and says “He likes the bear better than you.” 3/?
Bucky is v offended by this and creeps into Tony’s room and THERE. THERE IT IS. THE BUCKY BEAR. And Tony is there sleeping too but THE BEAR. He eases it from Tony’s arms and glares at it jealously but then he realizes he is in Tony’s room? Tony’s sleeping? So he sets the Bucky Bear aside and climbs in bed with Tony. Tony wakes up to Bucky instead of his Bucky bear and he says, “I’ve had dreams like this. Where you turned human to protect me.” And Bucky’s just like FUCK MY HEART. 4/?
And so he wraps around Tony and cuddles him and apologizes for taking so long. Tony sighs and tucks his face into Bucky’s chest. (And then he wakes up fully with a squawk and punches Bucky in the stomach with his flailing because WTF ARE YOU DOING IN MY BED YOU CREEP. It’s too late, Bucky knows Tony wanted to be protected by him as a child, so he rolls on top of him and says “I was the bear and now I’m not” but Tony sputters because HE CAN SEE THE BEAR BUCKY WTF. But he likes cuddles so. 5/5
This is so precious I’m squealing!!! Just imagining Maria going at Howard in a Rage over the Bucky Bear is brightening my day. (Especially when I think about how, even a decade later, Howard will not dare to say a word against the bear in question. His mouth twitches once, suspiciously, during dinner when Tony is fourteen and carries the bear with him out of pure spite, but Maria notices and her eyes narrow dangerously. And Howard isn’t always a wise man, but he’s not suicidal, so he gripes about his latest business deal instead.)
It’s this intriguing combination adorable and funny and slightly creepy (you don’t just climb into other people’s beds while they’re sleeping, Bucky, what even?!) and I love it. I can just imagine Bucky’s indignant face when Steve Dares To Insinuate that Tony prefers some toy to him lol. Thank you so much for cheering me up!!!
Of course now I can’t stop thinking about a tiny Tony clinging to his precious Bucky Bear, the one toy Howard would never dare to take from him, crying silently into it’s fur, begging it to please protect him and tell his father that he isn’t stupid and–
Yeah okay, I stop before I ruin it with angst haha. Lets focus instead on how, after all the well-deserved Tony-cuddling that morning ends, Bucky drags Tony down to the gym because that punch will not do if someone other than Bucky tries to sneak into his bedroom, not at all. Tony is less than impressed.
In the background, Clint loudly complains because “Bucky pulls an Edward Cullen and then actually gets into Tony’s bed and cuddles him while he’s asleep and it’s freaky cute but when I listen in on your margarita nights from the vents it’s creepy, what the hell???”
Natasha doesn’t look up from where she’s sorting her smarties by their colours. “Nobody disturbs margarita nights, Clint.”
(Clint is slightly appeased when only one Bucky Bear is allowed to join the next margarita night, and it’s not the fleshy one)
Against the Deeping Wall the hosts of Isengard roared like a sea. Orcs and hillmen swarmed at its feet from end to end. Ropes with grappling hooks were hurled over the parapet faster than men could cut them or fling them back. Hundreds of long ladders were lifted up. Many were cast down in ruin, but many more replaced them, and orcs sprang up them like apes in the dark forests of the South. Before the wall’s foot the dead and broken were piled like shingle in a storm; ever higher rose the hideous mounds, and still the enemy came on.
I’m not going to start discourse on this publicly so if you want to talk to me you’ll have to pm me about it or send a non anon ask, but
bee keepers do NOT hurt or stress out bees to get their honey.
Yes we supplement them with sugar water during the droughts and when flowers aren’t at their peak.
Those up north also supplement them with sugar water as well as their own honey to make sure that they will last over the winter.
No, it is not cheaper to kill your bees than take care of them over the winter. No one does that. It costs 150 or more for a starting nucleus of bees which doesn’t give you enough to get excess honey until after a year so to get enough bees off the bat to jump back to where you were you’d need hundreds of dollars and that clearly isn’t cheaper than wrapping them up with some of their honey and some sugar water.
No, people don’t go into their hives during the winter storms in the snow to give them sugar water instead of leaving them honey. even with flowers bees use a mason jar of sugar water all up in 2-3 days, you don’t take all their honey and give them gallons of sugar water. Thats not even practical. Don’t listen to these lies.
No you don’t kill any bees by taking their honey. There are multiple boxes, bottom boxes are for babies, brood boxes, theres a separator so the queen doesn’t make babies in the top boxes, called supers. On the top boxes, you take out the frames and bees move by themselves, some people smoke them away before lifting the frames, or you can take a very soft bristle brush called a bee brush and usher them. Usually they don’t stay messing around on capped honey though.
Facts about smokers! Can smokers hurt bees? Truth? Yes. They CAN. Doesn’t mean they do. People usually use pellets or pine needles and natural things in their smokers that they can just pick up off the ground. They don’t produce a hot smoke. You can easily check this by spraying your arm and if its too hot for you its too hot for the bees, which it never is if you use the right stuff. Otherwise the smoker works by interrupting their dances and vibrations to each other that tell them to work. Instead they go deeper into their hive closer to the queen to get her signals back. This doesn’t hurt them, just interrupts them for a minute so that you don’t hurt or squish them when taking out frames.
Bees need us. Only 6% of wild honey bees last in the wild. They have a LOT of enemies and without us they would be extinct at the moment. They need help against mites, many beetles, wasps, bears, and other little buddies you can find in the wild. We check their young, make sure they are growing properly, get enough food and water, and need help to properly split when there are too many of them and taking their honey is like helping them by cleaning the clutter in their house because they make more honey than they can use. They wont just stop working, keeping them in place is vital for their survival.
I’m just really tired of the lies about bees and if people protest against honey or beekeepers. I’m sure you’ve all seen the posts about how most of our produce and plants will go away. They need us as much as we need them.
Also note, 75% of honey in grocery stores is just a weird sugar substitute in a form that replicates honey. So if you want to support the bees, please pay attention to what you buy!
Sorry if this turns people off, but this is very important to me and one of the only places I can actually get word out. I’m very blessed to have you all with me and once I’m all settled I will do that giveaway I was talking about with stim toys! Thanks for listening <3
Would you look at that ? In the mood for a somewhat angsty story. Also, I promised more Batsis so…boom, here we are. Written in ten minutes (almost exactly) at 4 am so…UHUH. I hope you will still like it :
But in her home, there was American jazz, Thanksgiving celebrations and stories of the struggles facing blacks in the United States. An improvised version of soul food sometimes replaced borscht. That’s because her father, George Tynes, was an African American agronomist from Virginia who moved to Russia in the 1930s. Tynes was among hundreds of blacks who traveled to the Soviet Union in the two decades after the 1917 Russian Revolution. Some were hard-core Communists. Others were curious adventurers.
Most of the African Americans who came to Russia were seeking a better life, desperate to flee the social inequality and Depression-era hardships that racked America at the time, said Allison Blakely, professor emeritus of history at Boston University who has written a book on the African American immigrants. “They were looking for a society where they could escape color prejudice and racism,” Blakely said.
Officials actively recruited skilled foreign laborers and professionals, Blakely said. About 18,000 Americans answered the call to work in the 1930s, he said. Among them were several hundred African Americans who traveled to the Soviet Union, including dozens who lived there for “the good part of a decade,” Blakely said.
Their ranks included graduates of historically black colleges such as Tuskegee University in Alabama and Virginia’s Hampton Agricultural and Industrial School, later called the Hampton Institute. They were engineers, educators, entertainers, journalists, lawyers. The actor-activist Paul Robeson and poet Langston Hughes were among those travelers captivated by communism. The Soviets gave the African Americans red-carpet treatment, including fat paychecks, subsidized housing and free vacations. “My father felt the U.S.S.R. treated him better than America,” said Tynes-Mensah, a former university chemistry instructor who was born in the Russian town of Krasnodar and now lives mainly in the United States, spending summers in Russia. “He was happy here.”
Today, fewer than 50 descendants of these African Americans are believed to still live in Russia. In all, their numbers in the former Soviet republics could be between 100 and 200, according to researchers.
They have become footnotes to African American and Russian history, said Yelena Demikovsky, a New York-based Russian film director and researcher who is making a movie, “Black Russians — The Red Experience,” about the immigrants to the Soviet Union and their descendants.
Original mini cards made for the preorders of the Wendigo comic-books, they are all sold and sent. I have scanned all of them (a hundred. yes. 80 were made for the preorders, 20 for the sale of the remaining stock) but I will spare you, this is only a selection of the most unusual requests. Besides them I drew a TON of Wendigos, Wills and Hannibals. Description list below:
Taehyung had seen enough red in his lifetime to fill the Mississippi, the bloody current carrying the endless stream of bodies down the river of his past. They drifted in mangled pieces of splintered limbs and tattered flesh, the water unable to submerge the vast quantity of his indiscretions. His years of ripping and raging proved to be too much for the great river, even in the metaphorical confinements of his head it seemed. They littered the washed up crevices of his mind, tainting the cerulean memories that reminded him of the few good moments of his last two-hundred and eighty-seven years.
Of course, Taehyung had never been one for remorse in these types of situations. Once he was turned, his conscious took a backseat, so much so that he couldn’t even remember the disposition he’d wielded as a human. He imagined that he must’ve been the same cold-hearted, apathetic, monster that he was today. To him body count was a number on a similar wavelength to temperature, throw-away information that was constantly changing, just in Taehyung’s case it was only moving in the upward direction. His killings may have slowed since that first century or so thanks to a certain friend, but relapses were inevitable. Every couple of decades he found himself once again being consumed by the insatiable lust of his instincts, the water dragging him down the river, his bodies in tow.
I just don't feel quite so strongly about the ep as most seem to? I mean, it wasn't a good ep and yeah it was shitty to kill Eileen on top of just being bad writing. But it seems that each season has "that episode." I choose to look at the season as a whole. I'm vastly enjoying the season overall and i'm just not having a hard time shrugging this off as a bad ep by bad writers. I too wish they wouldn't keep doing this, but if i was that tired or focused on the bad i'd quit watching.
(cont) That probably came across worse than i meant for it too:P I just mean that that’s my personal attitude and coping mechanism. If i know realistically nothing’s going to make me stop watching the show, I have to process things different and have a certain outlook. Does that make sense? Again, sorry if I sounded rude!
Hey there! And no, that doesn’t sound rude at all. I mean, that’s the attitude I typically take as well…
And I would absolutely NOT have objected to literally anything else in that episode. I would be standing up for every other bit of it… IF THEY HAD NOT KILLED THE BADASS DEAF HUNTER IN THE FREAKING COLD OPEN.
I’d been willing to overlook the grossness of 12.02 and 12.08 (same writers!) with Sam’s sexualized torture and the skeevy noncon of Lucifer impregnating Kelly like that. I’d rolled my eyes at the time travel fuckery in 12.13 (same writers!) and I thought 12.17 was a mostly solid episode aside from Kelly being a two-dimensional character (not the actresses fault, the idiotic writing).
I’d found things to defend in all of those episodes, because the subtextual through-line of the entire season stuck…
But honestly? Eileen’s death served one narrative purpose: Tearing down two seasons worth of subtextual through-line.
Like, completely negated the entire point of all of it.
It didn’t serve to tell us that Ketch was a Very Bad Man. WE ALREADY KNEW THAT.
It didn’t serve to tell us that the BMoL were terrible people. WE ALREADY KNEW THAT.
There was A LOT of similarity to 10.21, in that it required characters to be idiotic in order for the surface layer plot to work. AND THAT IS SHITTY WRITING ALL AROUND. And I usually find at least ONE thing to defend, because I do try to stay positive, too. I’m sorta notorious for it.
HOW MANY REMINDERS HAVE SAM AND DEAN HAD ALL SEASON THAT THE BUNKER WAS NOT SAFE FROM THE MOL?
Toni let herself in in 11.23 AND SHOT SAM AND BANISHED CAS
Ketch showed up there in 12.14
Mick let himself in in 12.17
And even after Mick told them IN ACTUAL WORDS That every MoL safehouse around the world used the same key, and there were theoretically hundreds of them floating around out there… WHY THE FUCK DIDN’T THEY CHANGE THE LOCKS?!
WHY DID THEY KEEP GOING BACK THERE WHEN THEY KNEW THE PLACE WAS NOT SECURE?!
WHY DID THEY TAKE TONI BACK THERE AFTER GOING THROUGH ALL THAT TROUBLE TO KIDNAP HER?
EVEN AFTER THEY DISCOVERED A LISTENING DEVICE THERE?!
Like… Why didn’t they take her to some skeevy motel or something? What was the point of bringing her to the bunker?
Then one of the things Ketch did during their quick jaunt to trap Toni was to disable ALL the electric, water, and ventilation systems AND CHANGED THE FUCKING LOCKS.
Good job guys.
Obviously they weren’t expecting Mary to have been brainwashed and that kinda caught them wrong-footed in that respect, but SHEESH.
And Crowley… I mean, good for him jumping into the rat, but WHY THE FUCK DID HE EVER THINK HE COULD KEEP LUCIFER ON A LEASH IN THE FIRST DAMN PLACE?
AND WHY WOULD ANY OF US EVEN CARE?! I was happier when I thought Amara killed Luci back in 11.22. I’ve tolerated his presence in the narrative this season because there did seem to be a point to it, up through 12.07… but really. I just do not care about Lucifer.
Crowley working with the BMoL smacked of the deal he’d attempted to make with Dick Roman back in s7. I figure he’s the source of a lot of the BMoL’s actually GOOD intel, because in every other respect their intel has absolutely sucked.
Toni scored a hit on Mary with her description of John’s parenting of Sam and Dean tonight, and I assume that came from Crowley. He’s probably been slipping them tidbits from the Supernatural books here and there…
I’m having a hard time believing he’d have slipped the info about the Colt at Ramiel’s house to them, because he KNEW it would blow back directly on HIM if anyone bothered any of the princes of Hell… Seems like a risky move to send the BMoL after him and stir up that nest of hornets.
But at least Sam and Dean know the truth now, that the BMoL are wiping out hunters. That they killed Eileen, and all the rest.
BUT SHE DID NOT HAVE TO DIE.
Really, all Sam and Dean needed to hear were two things, and that would’ve been enough to convey the same level of upset:
That Ketch killed Magda, as well as the soldiers in 12.09
That Mary’s mission at Ramiel’s wasn’t just to hunt the demon, but TO STEAL THE COLT
That’s it. Just TELLING them both these two things (and honestly Sam already knew point 2, but it would’ve infuriated Dean) would’ve inspired the right level of outrage in each of them.
They showed us Mary brainwash-edly killing Random White Hunter Dude and FINE OKAY, but really Ketch and his hellhound could’ve picked ANY “hunter” to kill in the cold open and it would’ve served the same purpose.
The fact that it was a disabled female character pretty much universally beloved by the fandom who was a successful hunter and a friend to Sam (SERIOUSLY?! SAM MAKES ONE (1) DAMN FRIEND AND YOU HAVE TO KILL HER?!) even leaving out the wild rash of Saileen shipping and excitement that Sam might have something with her in canon someday, it’s just sickening to me.
Anyway, I’ve got a headache and I think I’m losing coherency. I think I’ve run through all my steam.
STEVE: Wow, I like your new shorts! DIANA: Thank you, they were on sale, fifty percent off! STEVE: I’d like them better if they were a hundred percent off. DIANA: The store can’t just give away clothes for free. STEVE: …t-that’s not what I meant…? DIANA: That’s a terrible way to run a business, Steve.
Request: If your requests are still open can you do a Damian x Reader imagine where she’s a distant relative of Alfred who lives in England and she came to Gotham to make a surprise for him during school vacations and when she saw Damian at the Manor is just love at first sight (for both). LOTS OF FLUFF! (+ points if he compliments her about her accent). Btw your blog is amazing and you are too!
Note: I hope you get the reference i put in the end from an older fic of mine
“Oh bloody hell!” You squealed loudly the moment the enormous door of the Wayne Manor opened as you watched your suitcase’s wheel roll away from your sight. The sound though, of the door opening to welcome you in made your eyes avert to the person standing behind it. Your darling uncle in his usual butler costume standing proudly before you with a smile on his wrinkled face.
“Oh hello uncle!” You said and your face lit up, your mind soon forgetting about your old and raggy suitcase as you wrapped your arms around your uncle. “How have you been? I haven’t seen you in so many years”
With a pat on your back and a “very nice indeed” your uncle motioned you to break the hug and set your gaze to another person in the room.
“Master Damian-” Alfred started although was soon interrupted by the so called man.
“Got it Alfred I’ll carry her suitcases” Damian grunted and walked past you. His ignorance for your presence though got to you and it wasn’t long before you opened your mouth to speak.
“You can at least say hello Mr Wayne rudeness won’t get you anywhere”
“Don’t call me that!” Damian snapped and greeted his teeth at you. He still hadn’t laid eyes on your face but on the instant he did, he couldn’t take them off. There were hundreds of girls surrounding him at university, either begging for a date or simply his attention and even though he had tried to make a move on some of them that he liked, the moment he set his eyes on you he felt like he never wanted to look at any other female. Ever.
A wave of cold sweat run through you as your eyes locked with his emerald ones. They were dazzling and fierce. No magazine picture or huge poster could actually capture their glow and all the emotions they seemed to carry. In a weird and twisted way you were glad you had rotated him as much as to make him look at you with this intense stare.
Your stomach was taking quick turns as you stood there, so dumbfounded by his presence that you couldn’t move. It was your uncle that snapped you out of your daydream about your life with Damian all the while you stared deep in his eyes.
“(Y/n), let me lead you to your room, where master Damian can put all your stuff.”
With an empty nod you averted your gaze from Damian and onto your uncle. It felt as if he was taking a part from you, something you needed in order to breath and survive.
Even Damian felt as if the electricity that run through his body while you two had locked your gazes was burning him from the absence of your gaze. It had suddenly became essential to him. Good thing you were going to be here all summer until he started his new semester.
Damian proceeded to follow you and Alfred upstairs, even though he was quickly stopped by Tim.
“That some hot as hell accent right?”
