there is no ideal place

wolfdownwords  asked:

What's your ideal place to live? A cabin by a lake? Or perhaps above a bookshop?

Omg I’d love to live in a apartment above a book store!!!! I’d love to own a book shop, and have it open 24/7 for people who can’t sleep, so they can come and read books!

IMPORTANT QUESTION. Vampires aren't suppose to enter a premise without being invited right? What if a hermit vampire was living in his falling apart old castle and some fuck bought it as a "fixer upper", would the vampire just glitch out on to the lawn or would he be okay since he lived there before?

Okay so this would depend on where you are in the world, and whether or not they had squatters rights (can’t be evicted and can apply for legal ownership of place once they have been there for X amount of years) but I mean, the dude owns the place, even if it is a run down mess he was still there first and there’s probably some ancient land ownership law which can’t be overwritten by modern laws (you find all sorts of weird things are still technically legal cause no one bothered to update the books since 1645) so basically whoever just bought this castle to turn it into a modern fixer upper, congrats, you also just bought yourself a vampire and he’s not going anywhere.

(Also now I kind of want to write this where a family buys it to turn it into a hotel/wedding venue and the kids find the vampire in the attic and he ends up being the weird uncle who gets roped into hilarious wedding related shenanigans?? Like

“Okay yes fine, you can host weddings here, but registrar only, no religious ones.”
“But Theolodious, why?”
“Really Sharon, really, do I have to spell it out for you. Really.”

*

“We really should increase the lighting for photographs, what about skylights?”
“No.”
“But—”
“How about I just set all of you on fire while you’re trying to sleep.”

*

“Please, for the love of god, please don’t let people throw confetti or rice, I’m begging you.”

*

“Okay what’s our final head count for the night?”
“107.”
“Are you sure?”
“Did I fucking stutter Steve?”

*

“Uncle Theo, why does the groom have “help me” on the bottom of his shoes, why is everyone laughing?.”
“Because small one, humanity has failed collectively as a species and heteronormativity is a constructed lie designed to oppress over half the population for not conforming to arcane and chauvinistic ideals put in place by dead scholars who have long since turned to dust and have no place influencing modern society.”
“…”
“Permanence is an illusion.”

*

“Madame, flattering as your offer is for a quickie, you’re not my type.”
“What is your type then?” ;) ;) ;)
“O negative.”

*

“Whoo, what a day, I could eat a horse.”
“Same.”
“…”
“…well obviously I’m not going to.”

*

“Theo…are you…are you crying?”
“Yes.”
“You big softie, I never thought someone like you would cry at a wedding.”
“…I’ve lived a long life, Sharron. People come and go, the christening you bless will be the funeral you mourn in less than a century. But people keep saying “I love you”, that has to count for something.”

Took a break from comics to draw my favorite ladies!! I’m not in love with how this turned out, but they can’t all be winners!

I do like how their outfits came out though. I may do more with those sometime.

“I wash my hands of you” Banishing Spell

A spell to banish, to remove a person from your life completely. This is ideal for unwanted exes, toxic friends, and those who have caused trouble or harm to yourself and loved ones

Be certain you want to do this as it is to remove someone for good.

You will require;

- Running water, so be near a sink

- A representation of the unwanted person; Something can can be destroyed easily. So temporary poppets or photographs.

- A place to dump the representation; a trash bin is ideal. If it’s biodegradable, you can bury it, but a trash bin would be easier

* Start by visualising a wall around yourself. This can take whatever form makes you feel safe from the unwanted person

* Take the representation in both hands, make as much contact as possible, and whisper into it (choose your own words if you wish);

I do not fear you

No more will I see you

No more harm, no more hurt

Begone from my life

*Start to rip, tear and just destroy the representation, Put as much feeling into it as possible, unleash all negative energy

*Dispose of the representation. Just throw every piece in the trash. When it’s taken away, it’ll be gone for good.

*To cleanse yourself of their contact, wash your hands. As you do say something along the lines of;

As I wash my hands of you, you fade away

Disappear from my life

Never seek my presence again

Begone

Why I'm voting Labour this June.

These are just a few of the policies from the Labour manifesto, they are also my favourites.

  • £10 minimum wage for every person over the age of 18.
  • Banning zero hour contracts. This means first time workers wont get exploited with unfair hours and unstable salaries.
  • Rented accommodation to be suitably fit for habitation.
  • Renationalise the NHS. The conservative government has widdled away portions of our NHS to be privatised meaning that less funds go into the national parts of it leaving poor people unfairly vulnerable and those who can afford private healthcare prioritised. Labour will reverse this.
  • Free school meals for every child!!
  • National education service. Takes a viewpoint of education being a right, not a commodity.
  • Scrap tuition fees. Students in the UK typically leave university with £50,000 of debt, this needs to stop.
  • Restore NHS bursaries. Last year the Conservative party cut bursaries for student nurses resulting in a 10,000 applicant drop, Corbyn will give that back.
  • Disabling major corporations for ripping off their supplier.
  • Reverse the Conservative corporation tax cuts.
  • Defending human rights better than ever.
  • Rekindle the free market.
  • Housebuilding. With a total immigration count over 500,000 annually and only 2% of land prioritised for housing we certainly need more.
  • Tackling inequalities within the workplace, within the household, everywhere.( Focuses on class inequalities, wage gaps, the reform/eradication of racial and homophobic stigmatic ideals, name blind applications to be introduced within the work place, more help for romani travellers to find work etc etc )
Better Books. [Beast! Prince Adam Oneshot].

I’M SUCH TRASH. I’m pairing this with another one of my imagines: Where Adam Tells you his name.

Words: 1,522.

After scanning the shelves for what seemed like hours, you had finally found the book you were looking for. Laughing softly in victory, you figured that Adam must have hidden it from you to assure that you didn’t read it again. You could hear his voice inside of your mind, ‘There are better things to read than that.’

You held the book in your hands close to your chest. Rubbing the spine gently, you felt somewhat conscious of the blue eyes lingering on you longingly from across the spacious room. Whether out of nerves or slight curiosity, you let one of your feet dangle from the ladder in the library, swinging around slightly so you could look back at Adam with a tender gaze. He was perched in a chair, sitting in what little sunlight was leaking into the castle from the overcast sky outside. Unfortunately, it wasn’t the sort of warm sunlight that soaked into your skin and made you feel a little more happy and optimistic. It was a dreary sort of sunlight that would bounce off you and create somewhat negative vibes. Fortunately though, you strode around with your own positivity the darkness that seemed to mindlessly drape around the entire residency.

By the time you looked back at him, he tried his best to seem completely invested in the book instead of the back of your head, but you knew better. It was something new between the two of you and has become more and more frequent. The stolen glances, as if it were forbidden to actually look at one another and allow yourself to be caught doing so. You had only stumbled upon the castle a month ago, and between then and now, he has actually warmed up to you surprisingly well. After all, it had only been a week or so since he felt comfortable telling you his name so you didn’t have to stumble around what to call him exactly.

Stepping off the ladder with a small ‘thud’ as you jumped onto the marble floor, you studied the book in your hand and made your way to the seat across from him. Adam noticed of course, watching you from his peripherals as you sauntered your way towards him and sat down.

Adam cleared his throat, setting his book down in his lap. “What’ve you got there?” He inquired, using his head to gesture to the gently worn out book in your hands. If he moved just right in his spot, the dim sunlight coming in through the large windows shined off his horns, somewhat reminding you of how water shimmered in the light.

You seemed a bit shameful when you answered quietly, “Romeo And Juliet.”

“Uhck.” He murmured softly, scrunching his face in mind disgust, “Have you not read that enough? It’s such a tragic story. The romance, the pining, the unforgiving end. That book will be in three pieces by the time you’re done with it. There’s so many books here, why choose the same one over and over?” Adam’s curiosity was legitimate. He never saw the wonder in romance like you seemed to. To him, they all seemed the same and never seemed to have the absolutely ideal ending.

You laughed quietly, “It may be. At least it’s a book that you don’t seem to care about. I’m sure I could set it on fire and you’d probably be very happy that I did.” Shrugging your shoulders, you rubbed the spine once again and answered simply, “It’s a bittersweet tale. I like that it’s not perfect. That’s what makes it enjoyable. Anyway, why does it matter what I read? It’s not like you’re the one reading it.”

He nodded his head in agreement. Thankfully, he wasn’t the one reading it, but he still argued, a bit more innocent and playful this time, “Perhaps, I can show you another story that’s just as good.”

“I dare you to show me one that I’ll love more than this one.” You held the book up and sat it down on the table to your right. “You’ve read everything in here, so I’m sure you can find one.”

Adam stood up, completely towering over you before holding a paw out for you to take. You smiled at him, accepting the help and let him lift you from your seat. “I accept your challenge. I’ve got just the book.” The smile he gave you was the gentlest thing you had encountered and left your heart swimming in an unknown feeling. You wanted nothing more than to see that smile for the rest of your days. Adam hesitated, but eventually let go of your warm hand before striding to the left. You followed closely, biting down on your bottom lip.

What was the feeling in your chest? It was as if someone had lit a thousand candles and let them burn inside of you. You denied any previous thoughts of adoration for Adam, telling yourself that you couldn’t possibly feel anything more than forced friendship for someone who was keeping you here. But at this point, the sensation in your heart was making you question your own words. There was no doubt some sort of attraction between the two of you. The hidden gazes, the gentle strokes of your hand against his arm while you pass him books.

If he let you go, who’s to say you wouldn’t want to willingly stay here with him? You would stay. Even if he didn’t ask, you would stay. But, why?

“Here.” His voice boomed you back to reality. Swallowing softly, you looked up at him with reddened cheeks before letting your gaze drop to the book in his hand. Taking a shaky breath in, you took it from his hands and studied it carefully. It seemed a bit more worn than ‘Romeo and Juliet’, the spine exceedingly bent at the moment, stirring you to ask, “Have you read this a lot?”

“More than most books here. It’s one of the books my mother used to read to me when I was a child.” Adam admitted softly, letting his icy eyes admire your reaction to the book. “It’s the only romance I can actually bear to finish.” He said without thinking. “You see uh— I never finish them, usually. Romances, at least. I leave them off in the ideal place, almost….”

“Afraid of ruining it with the actual ending.” You finished his sentence for him. Adam seemed astonished that you had actually understood. Pressing it to your chest, you sighed and whispered to him, “You’re taking an opportunity away from yourself though. If you never read the ending, you’re not reading it in the way it was intended to be read. Some…” You clutched the book a bit harder, something he noticed as your knuckles were turning while, “Some stories have a happy ending that are so out of sight that you need to keep reading on. You can’t let one bad ending be the reason why you can’t enjoy other endings.”

There was no fighting your words because as Adam let them sink into his mind, he came to realize that you were completely right. He opened his mouth, ready to discourse but couldn’t find anything to say. He couldn’t. He was in such a position that you words were undoubtedly true. Before the curse, his ending was a bad one, though he prolonged it for as long as possible. It took a sharp turn and seemed even worse for a while before you came waltzing into his life, giving the slightest shimmer that perhaps even he could have a happy ending in a story otherwise full of despair, darkness and hate.

“Let me know what you think.” Adam said quietly, looking at the book in your hands. “I hope… you like it.”

Reaching up, you pressed your hand to the right side of his face and completely captivated his attention. The affection was sudden and seemed to leave Adam completely defenseless as you smiled sweetly at him. It was a tender stroke and reminded him of the last time that he had actually been touched so affectionately. It had been years. If it weren’t for the dramatic height difference, he could look at you eye to eye and if given permission, he would have kissed you. Just to see a response, to see that if getting his hopes up wasn’t just a waste now that there were only a few more petals left on the enchanted rose.

Adam was certain he could kiss you regardless, catching you off guard. The nagging voice inside of his head worried that you didn’t want it though, and so he refrained as best he could and tilted his head towards your hand.

You let your hand linger on him for much longer than needed, eventually bringing it from the side of his face to his wide shoulder before walking back to your spot in the small amount of sunlight. It was his time to follow you back. Sitting down, you stared up at him and gave a warm smile, “I’m sure I’ll love it.”

EYYYYY. Thanks for reading! Reblogs and likes are appreciated! :D

The Elsewhere Child

He was supposed to take my memories when he brought me here, the seelie knight, who had been commanded to escort me home with a simple “take it away, it’s too old now and it bores me” from the noble who had kept me for the past while. I traded him my singing voice for them though, and now where once sweet music poured from my lips only hoarse and untuned notes fall out without any of the tempo or melody they had before. Now I think I made a bad trade. It might have been better, if I didn’t remember, or remembered something else entirely.

I stare at the boy next to me in the circle, I was asked to join this circle as a way to make me feel part of something, part of a circle. They call the circle a support group for abducted children. Children who were abducted and got away, that is, I don’t think there’s a support group for those currently abducted. Their abductors wouldn’t allow them to attend, I suppose. The boy is speaking about the man who touched him, speaking of the horrible way he loved that man, because he was a child, and he had to love someone. Are his memories true? Or is he like me? Did a faerie take him away, and replace the memories from Under the Hill with these tragedies? Why? Did he commit some crime? I cannot say.

I am fascinated by the girl who sits next to the girl directly across from me in the circle. She tells us to call her Angie. She wears ratty clothes, not the sort of poor chic that seems to be an underlying trend, with jackets made of patches and ribbed cloth sold at malls, but real grunge. The tears in her sleeves reveal razor scars, her hair is short, she wants to look tough, she wants people to cross the street to get away from her when they see her coming. She is not tough. She is nervous, always nervous, always afraid, though she hides it well. None of these things are too interesting to me, those things I can see anywhere, but I thought context would be important so that the fact that she’s a pathological liar would not be the only thing you knew about her.

She is a pathological liar.

Her lies fascinate me.

After group chat, I take her aside and we talk, sometimes just for a few minutes, sometimes for hours, and I watch her fabricate thousands of untruths, from tiny white ones to huge fantastical ones as bright and colorful as her life has never been. Some days, I believe everything she says and some days I question each word, trying to figure out her secret.

It’s a strange thing, I was taken before I really knew my name, and each faerie that’s kept me (I was a pet for them) called me something different. Do I even have a true name? I’ve been Jane Doe since I showed up, stumbling barefoot and confused into a police station moments after midnight (at least the knight knew to leave me near a place of authority), so I’ve been introducing myself as Roe, like the deer. They ran my DNA through the missing children’s database (I didn’t understand what that was at first, was shocked at how closely humans had approximated magic with computers), but there was no match. I told them I didn’t know how long ago I’d been abducted, and suggested that it might have been before the database was made. They laughed and said I was eighteen, and DNA technology had been around much longer than me. I tried to explain that time was different where I had been kept, but they simply patted me on my head and told me they were sure that it seemed that way to me at the time.

They stared at me worriedly when one of them brought me a McDonald’s Happy Meal, and I asked what she wanted for it. She told me nothing. No one here ever asks for anything besides courtesy in return for their food, but old habits are hard to break. Even now, in my foster home, I cannot help insisting that my hosts confirm that this food is a gift freely given. They asked me to help them cook and I broke down in tears because there was a cast iron skillet on the stove (“Please don’t make me, iron burns, iron burns, and it gets under your skin and makes you go grey and lifeless like a flower severed from its roots, plea-please, please don’t make me”). It took them an hour to convince me that they weren’t trying to force me to poison myself, and the food burned (“I said I would help you, you asked me to cook and I agreed, but, but please don’t make me, it burns, it’ll burn me!” “It’s alright darling, you don’t have to cook if you don’t want to.” “But I said I would! It was an oath!” “We’re sorry, we wouldn’t have asked if we’d known it would upset you, you can help some other way if you like.” “You… absolve me of my oath?” “Yes, of course we do darling!”).

I am more comfortable with iron now, I am not one of the Fair Folk, after all, it will not harm me. Correction, a blade of iron would harm me, but not because it was made of iron. It does, however, mess with my glamor.

It is a difficult thing, growing up bathed in magic and yet to have none of your own. A pixie once spoke of how she envied my hair, and I said, on impulse, “do you want it?” So a trade was made. She gave me the ability to change my appearance, and she walked away with my hair. I expected my hair to grow back after a time though… it did not. With my glamor I can have the appearance of having whatever hair I please, and sometimes I change it daily, but when I sleep or when iron is near my bare head is revealed. It is assumed by my hosts and everyone around me that I have many wigs, I have told them I do not, but they don’t believe in magic, so they insist on believing this instead.

I hide when I hear thunder, duck into a bathroom and put everything on backward and inside out if I’m in public, or simply sit quiet if I’m home. The first time I did this, it shook me to my core when someone told me “You know, your shirt is on backward.” I started to panic, until I realized that I could see myself too. It was a revelation, discovering that there was something humans could see that the Good Neighbors couldn’t.

It still boggles my mind how much people throw away, tears and menstrual blood caught on napkins, or gifts from that one aunt that they held onto for so long for the sentimental value but can’t keep now because they have to move into a smaller apartment, or the shirt they can’t wear anymore because it smells like their ex. They could trade these items to faeries for so many things, and yet they simply throw them away. What a waste.

My hosts insisted I should have a proper education, and after three years of homeschooling (to get me caught up) I applied to attend the local state college. There I found more people who fascinate me the way Angie does. There’s Lisa, who fights for animal rights, and Kyle, the leader of the Gay Straight Alliance group, and Riley, who’s going into the Peace Corps next year because they want to help the world. I ask them all the time why they do what they do, what they expect to get back, and they tell me that ideally they’ll make the world a better place, and that will pay them back eventually, but that they don’t do it for what they’ll get back, they do it because it’s right. I don’t understand. There’s Cheyenne, who always gets into intense political debates with other people over dinner in the cafeteria, and she believes so intensely about things that don’t even affect her, and she fights for them, and she tells me she does this because it’s right, and I don’t understand. I’ve never met anyone who cared about anything other than themselves Under the Hill. Faeries can’t lie, they can’t go back on their word, they honor their deals and make sure you honor them too, they repay debts and ensure they’re repaid in turn, they amuse themselves playing or squabbling over power, but they do not do things for free. They don’t care about things for free. They don’t defend the innocent, protect the weak, or forgive the ignorant. The culture shock coming here is bewildering.

If I could I’d honor my debts, leave a pile of gold at the doorstep of everyone who’s done me a kindness, but I have not the magic to do so. The drainage ponds hold no sirens, the falling snow has no frolicking pixies between its flakes, there is no magic for me to use here… or is there?

Perhaps I can’t call upon the magic Under the Hill, perhaps I can’t summon gold or make deals with darklings, but I can find magic here, I’ve seen others do it. I’ve seen a moon so beautiful it sends shivers down your spine captured by a little lense-box and put onto thick shiny paper. I’ve seen songs and stories written with such emotion that it moves those who hear them to tears, to laughter, to dancing, to life. I’ve seen kitchen witches cure colds with hot chicken soup, and I’ve seen holy men ward off tricksters they can’t even see with the power of their belief.

Perhaps I can find a way to create my own magic, and do what other people seem to strive to do to repay their debts. Perhaps I can make the world a better place, and learn the magic of humanity. And as for the places where magic does live? Where the boundary between worlds is thin and the drainage ponds and snowflakes carry faerie magic within? …I think I’ll be staying far away, for my part. I might still have a lot to learn, but I think I like it better here.

I kind of can’t wait for Jessica and Danny to share the screen in Defenders.

Danny’s over here like “Live for ideals. Make the world the best possible place. Help everyone because it’s the right thing to do!”

And meanwhile there’s Jessica: “The world is a sick, awful place, and I’m not nearly drunk enough for it. Get out of my face before I give you the beating you probably had coming in a previous life.”

I am ALL HERE for these kinds of polar opposites working together, especially because you know they’ll probably go through that hilarious “how can you exist like that?” phase before they hit it off in some strange way.

do you think you can tell me a bit about the pentacle? is it something that only applies to wiccans, or is there more to it? what does it mean? that kind of thing... if not i totally understand! sorry from coming to you about this!! you just seem like you know what youre talking about :')

Hey buddy sorry for like the two days later reply. I’m in the middle of finals (I have a weird school schedule cause I go to school online), so I’m very busy lately!! But I got Time so let’s do this.

Pentagrams

The pentagram is a broadly used symbol, used by many different practices with different histories, so the it can mean many different things!

So, fun fact, “pentacle” is the term for a (typically) circular symbol often drawn on the ground (often in the shape of a pentagram) that can be used for various different magical purposes, including holding energy and evoking spirits. It is also the name for the tool itself, frequently found on occultists altars. You can see one in the gif above. It’s a tile with a pentagram on it.

A “pentagram” is the standard five-pointed star shape, frequently placed inside a circle.

You do not have to be Wiccan or Satanist to use the pentagram symbol. It is broadly used in many forms of magic and occultism, and was even, once upon a time and long, long ago, used by Christians to symbolize the 5 senses or the five trials of Christ.

In modern day magic, many people recognize the pentagram as a symbol of the five elements. That is, spirit, air, earth, fire, and water, said to be at each point of the star. The connection and balance of these five elements is often an ideal place to start work, and is a great way to contain energy when you begin to raise it.

It is also not uncommon to see it as a symbol of the five bodily senses, when upright.

You might use the pentagram as a general sort of symbol as well, like one might a sigil. You can charge it with your intent, and draw it wherever. One favorite of mine is using syrup on my morning pancakes. It’s also a great symbol of protection and the general elements.

Wiccans have embraced the pentagram as their symbol because of the prevalence of its use and the symbolism it holds. Often, you might see the pentagram inverted. This is not necessarily “evil,” as some might have you believe. It is simply the focus on the physical and sometimes, therefore, darker realms. Instead of pointing upwards to aspire to the heavens, it points downwards to focus on the base and primal. You will see this type of focus in other forms of magic, such as Satanism or certain ceremonial magicks.

Just to give everybody a quick geography lesson, Palm Beach is home to Mar-a-Lago. Right across the waterway is the creatively named West Palm Beach. And while Palm Beach is an ideal place for rich people to live and schmooze, West Palm Beach has crime rates on par with Chicago, a place that our president may very well actually be scared of. According to Alyssa, the nearby Delray Beach “has a reputation for being the drug rehab clinic capital of the U.S.” Lake Worth also has some major violence problems. So basically, if one of America’s most violent cities decided to lay a medieval-style siege to Mar-a-Lago, they might be able to pull it off for a hot minute.

“[West Palm Beach] is a whole different world than Palm Beach,” said Jim. “Palm Beach doesn’t have gunshots going off at 3:00 in the morning, or dead bodies being found being routine news. They don’t have to worry about meth-heads or gangs.”

Furthermore, it seems like those gangs (which are already a huge problem for West Palm Beach) really don’t like the dichotomy that our sitting president seems to represent. “There’s a gas station on one of the routes Trump travels to Mar-A-Lago,” Jim told us. “The owner is a big Trump supporter, and rolled out a big ‘Welcome President Trump’ sign. I gas up there one day, and the next time I pull in, the sign is down and covered with graffiti. It’s from one of the gangs here. They put the biggest tag on the ’T’ in Trump to make it look like 'rump.’ I walk in to pay, and when I asked about the sign, the owner told me 'It happened the first night.’ I can’t think of a more WPB greeting for the president. It’s the differences between the two worlds.”

So when President Trump comes to town and redirects police manpower toward his security, it’s actually making things worse.

Talk to me about the Hufflepuffs who were shaped by their childhood favorites; who became compassionate and empathetic because of the books they read under their covers at night.

Talk to me about the Hufflepuffs stood up against a bully in elementary school because it was something Lucy Pevensie would have done.

Talk to me about Hufflepuffs entering their common room and furtively glancing around for Bilbo Baggins because, dang it, they’d walked into a hobbit hole!

Talk to me about the books littering the Hufflepuff common room; Nancy Drew and Lord of the Rings alongside Dickens and Hugo and Plath. Books are dog-eared, left open on tables, highlighted and scribbled in, interacted with and loved. Mostly fiction.

Talk to me about a Hufflepuff book club that reads by the fire at night, discussing the themes of the novels and how, when acted upon, those ideals can make the world a better place. Talk to me about Hufflepuffs who take that to heart.

Talk to me about the Hufflepuffs who, because of those fireside chats, protest and fight for equal rights and equal opportunity across the world. Talk to me about the Hufflepuffs who use the books they read to open dialogue about the injustices of the world. Talk to me about the Hufflepuffs who never alienate, who try to understand every person they encounter like they would a character in a book - perhaps not perfect, but lovable anyway.

Talk to me about Hufflepuffs who read.

Chart Overlay Series (Pt.3)

Venus in Your Partner’s House

Other than synastry compatibility based off aspects, and of course planets and asteroids, astrology has much more depth in compatibility. In a synastry chart overlay, one person’s natal birth chart is layered on top of another person’s chart to show how your signs, planets, and houses work together. Especially where their planets are in your chart. It’s this that explains why rising signs are so important, you can still use this if you don’t know their time, but you’ll need to know at least one person’s time. You of course will have more understanding with both rising signs. The point is to see where their/your planet falls in your/their chart and the specific house, to see the influence it has on your relationship and bond. Remember to take both combinations of yours and theirs together. If you don’t know their rising and therefore their houses, look at their planets in your houses for now. These are the characteristic of their/your venus, in your/their house (where the qualities of Venus shine in your relationship):

Your Venus in their First

This may suggest that you guys have plenty in common, making your partner feel beautiful and confident. For the house person, it feels like they’ve met a good match when you two become invested in each other. The attraction for the house person is strong as for the Venus person, they’re spoiled by all things Venusian. It helps build confidence, as you guys will want to look like a power couple. The house person will be deeply attracted to them, especially if their Venus is close to their ascendant, and the problem is you may idealize the house person. You have to be careful because you guys may only like each other for how they look and how they look beside you.

Your Venus in their Second

With this overlay the house person will admire the Venus person not just physically like the first but also for who they are inside, in return they make the house person feel talented and appreciated. The house person will shower gifts and fortunes to the Venus person. In fact the Venus person will make them feel so talented, they can discover new income or have a material growth. Their materials start to blossom, it’s to the point that their creative energies can form and they can make money together. As long as the house person doesn’t have a lot of inflicted aspects to their Venus, then they won’t under appreciate the venus person. This is a really good place for Venus, not only will you prosper materialistically but physically. Romantically. You both will take out sensuality in each other, along with other desires. Little tip- don’t take the Venus person for granted or posses them too much. So yes, this may be a protective love after all.

Your Venus in their Third

This is such a communicative and blossoming match, there’s a possibility of love letters, and sultry words whispered in ears to become produced with this overlay. You guys respond to each other with grace and vitality. Communication is extremely important in a relationship and as this house is ruled by Gemini (a Mercury-ruled sign), and paired with Venus, you communicate with compassion and love. The problem is that you guys may act like a Libra mercury together, avoiding conflicts, as you guys rather keep things sweet. The Venus person will stimulate the house person’s mind, as they’ll make them feel appreciated as well.

Your Venus in their Fourth

There’s a nurturing presence about Venus in here, after all it’s the house about home and family. Living together will be pleasant and you guys will feel a soul-level connection. Both of you can relate to each other in terms of the childhood, there will also be mutual love and an emotional connection flowing between you two. Both of you will have an aesthetically pleasing home together as well, and often tone down the “Wild” side of each other if you have it. They’ll want to spend lots of time with you at home. It calms the house person and steadies them. You guys find home with each other and are capable of having a harmonious life together.

Your Venus in their Fifth

With the nature of the fifth house, Venus tends to live happily here. The house person adores the Venus person and will always try to give excitement and fun in the Venus person’s life; after all this is a fire house. There will be lots of fun, romance, and enjoyment flowing between you two. You guys help each other express yourselves and become more creative. There’s playfulness and flirtatious behavior here, it’s very affectionate. It adds warmth unless one of the Natal chart struggles with that. There’s a sexual and romantic attraction between you two, you guys tend to enjoy when pursuing each other. It adds some comfort to express yourselves in a more “loving” way. Since this house also views children, you guys may even want children together. This is a really, really nice place for Venus to be in because Venus blossoms here.

Your Venus in their Sixth

The Venus person will almost act like a Virgo Venus, trying to help the house person a lot. Especially in routines, health, and other improvements. You both find pleasure in doing daily activities together, working together, and even doing chores together. It adds harmony and love in being teammates together, which also makes sense because this is the house explaining the workplace too. In fact, you guys may have met each other at work. The sign in which Venus is in may show where the Venus person assist the house person. Even though the house of work habits and health sounds a little useless for Venus to be in, it’s not. The house person can feel supported and someone who has similar ideas about diet and exercise, you guys help each other a lot and make each other be able to build a life together. It builds stability.

Your Venus in their Seventh

The house person feels like the Venus person is their ideal partner, after all this is the 2nd place Venus is at home in. Love, appreciation, and support flows between you guys peacefully. If you guys don’t have hard aspects, this can help build a long-term relationship; both of you treat each other equally and the house person can very much so see a life with you. You both will take the relationship seriously. The chemistry clicks between you two as you guys have harmony perfuming your relationship since you guys tend to have the same views about love and relationships. The Venus person has an area in which to discover their love nature more. It’s overall a very beneficial place for Venus and a healthy place too, it builds a sense of adoration.

Your Venus in their Eighth

Both of you find each other alluring, magnetic, and mysterious; The attraction is most likely not one-sided, you both feel it. It’s intoxicating and almost obsessive even possessive. Especially for the house person and perhaps the Venus person (depending what sign their Venus is in). The sex will be very mixed between the axis of Taurus-Scorpio, it’s emotionally and physically bonded. Very intense, passionate, sensual, and lusty. Both of you can open up to each other in a ways you guys never thought you’d be able to. It can be very overwhelming at times but you guys can trust each other with your dark secrets and share a physical sense of yourselves that is endearing.

Your Venus in their Ninth

Love is a constant adventure together, sharing some of the same ideals and beliefs. There’s a lot of honesty between you two as you guys help each other to grow and expand, it’s very supportive. The Venus person feels the same and will stay interested with the house person. As I’ve said with the house overlay series a lot with this house, you guys will enjoy traveling together. The house person will feel like the Venus person is lucky to them and might actually be. It’s a very nice place for Venus to be in because it constantly grows.

Your Venus in their Tenth

This relationship may be very public as you guys make each other look good, the house person really adores the Venus person as well. You both tend to glamour your relationship, possibly idealizing the relationship even to your own eyes which can go wrong. If the Venus person is a women, the house person “will admire you and treat you like a goddess.” You both are highly supportive of each other and tend to help each other a lot in each other’s careers.

Your Venus in their Eleventh

This is really nice for not only love, but even friendship. The two of you get along so well that fun and communication fits in really nice. The problem is the house person may see the Venus person only like a friend, but nonetheless like a best friend. This can either add to the romance or lessen it, it depends on the house person. You both may have met by a circle of friends and are even capable of being affectionate in front of your friends, your friends can see the chemistry. Try to see if there are other overlays or aspects that bring more passion and so forth.

Your Venus in their Twelfth

You guys may have a very hidden relationship or a very private one but the house person may not trust the Venus person right away because of the nature of the twelfth house. There’s no doubt that there will be a very physic connection between you two and the Venus person increases the house person’s confidence. Both of you are very attracted to each other and the Venus person finds the house person mysterious, which may cause them not to trust you right away too. Even though it’s hidden, it has that Pisces nature of your relationship to make it very compassionate. This is an indicator of perhaps a hidden love affair, even if it’s not you guys find each other very attractive. The chemistry is “haunting” and consuming. The house person may resist there feelings for them because the idea of “not trusting” is more strong for the house person, but if they give in, the venus person has to have good intentions. No manipulation and so forth should happen, especially in this house or even for any.

Beach City Updates

1. The Arcade appears to be the congregation zone for most people at Beach City. I’m guessing aside from the Beach and the Carnival (which aren’t too ideal when it’s really hot out) the Arcade is the place to go. Good for you, Mr. Smiley.

2. And speaking of Mr. Smiley, he doesn’t look as exhausted as he did in Too Short to Ride and Future Boy Zoltron. That could mean post-holidays, the tourists are back in town and he’s not living like a one-man staff anymore.

Noting that cameo too! And they come back alter in the wash.

3. Lars and Sadie are trying being “together.” And it doesn’t seem as destructive as they were when they started out and denied their own identities. Sadie is still tough as nails and she’s not conforming to what she thinks the girl should be like in a relationship. And Lars isn’t pushing her on that or comparing her to other girls.

Sly hand-holding, guys.

4. But Ronaldo is spying on Lars and Sadie?
It’s completely in the norm for him to be observing things in general, but the way Connie’s binoculars pan imply his are trained right at them. That’s new. Or he could’ve been on them just at that moment because

He probably looks around the area in general.
