there is a point to all of this

One neat thing I noticed while rewatching is that some of the paladins’ introductions in episode 1 coincide with their elements! Like:

The Yellow Lion’s element is Earth, and the first thing Hunk ever does onscreen is complain about being in the air and work with metal. The fear of heights / motion sickness makes sense considering his affinity is with the ground, as does his talent for mechanics.

The first time we see Pidge, she’s working a communications unit. The Green Lion’s thing is Forests, and a big aspect of that is the idea of roots and connection with other living things (”we are all made up of the same cosmic dust”) and the first thing she does on screen is literally connect with others.

Red’s element is fire, and Keith’s introduction is literally him blowing something up and then punching some guys. Which. Speaks for itself honestly.

Weirdly, Shiro and Lance don’t seem to follow this trend. The first thing we see Shiro do is help Matt extract ice from Kerberos, and the first thing we see Lance do is fly the simulator, and neither introduction seems to be related to their given elements of air and water/ice respectively– in fact I’d say they seem swapped. I dunno if that means something, and maybe this observation is meaningless lmao, but it seems to hold up with the other three, which is interesting.

@xpaintedladyx more than happy to, lov!!!!

Hey so what do you think of Harry's answers in general on the interview ?

thought he did a great job, said what he needed to say. Two kinda controversial ones I guess would be the politics one, which I thought he did a great job with, he’s not going to start rhyming off policies n shit. But he did make a statement about his own views in a simple, concise way and I thought that was great, he feels really strongly about people being treated equally. He did it eloquently and didn’t overstep himself.

When the interviewer asked him about how the album was “all about a girl” which I feel has been taken out of context completely from his RS interview (and also you must be rly dumb to believe that every song is about the same thing or the same girl) he just made sure to make the point that it’s about his views on things, it’s his album, and it’s about his feelings. So kudos to him! Thought he was great.

i love that “everybody” has become like… the Happy Bendy song. like i first saw it on that meme created from the song for bendy specifically, and i watched that little video so many times it did, and still does, just make me so dang happy. and then i saw it on nirami15′s speedpaint video of bendy, and like, if you didn’t think it was already in my lampblack playlist you’re crazy

i think what i appreciate about it as a song that’s connected to him in any capacity is that it’s incredibly happy and soulful and has heart and it seems so opposite to everything he seems to represent, but like it doesn’t have to be..? i think bendy’s got a lot of soul. deep down there somewhere. the only lyric is “everybody ask me how i know, i smile at them and say she told me so” it’s so simple and like, that one line clearly comes from a place of love. like please can bendy have a life where none of this is ironic

My week: a short summary

Me to my doctors:

Them: Well, clearly what we need is a PLAN. Here, how about the plan we’ve already tried six times.

Me: Noooooo, we need a longer term plan. We need to figure out what comes after the intial plan and we have to do it now while all the specialists are in one place.

Noctis and Lunafreya is forced and made canon because they had to make Luna’s character more relevant to the plot. But guess what? She wasn’t even in the game long enough to be super relevant which was sad and she should’ve been. Her part in Kingsglaive had more relevance than in the game. And the fact that they did the whole “love” thing b/w Noctis and Luna was disappointing. She could’ve been a role model for Noctis and/or a close friend. Since Luna is three years older than Noctis, she could’ve taught him many things but also maintained a great close friendship. That promise Noctis made as a child is like a promise you’d make with your best friend and want to make it come true. Not an act of “young love” or “developing feelings”. When Noctis says he wanted to keep her safe, it means towards the promise he made to her as a child. TO KEEP EVERYONE SAFE AND SAVE THE WORLD AS THE TRUE KING. That didn’t happen though while Luna was alive which caused Noctis to go through depression for weeks. He lost a close friend. Someone he had known for years. Remember, Noctis did not have friends growing up because of how people viewed him. He developed trust issues towards others though people knew he was kind and smart. Noctis saw Luna as someone who understood the pain he was going through. It’s like when someone finds a friend who understands you. You two become close and good friends. Also, the fact that they tried to make us believe it through a journal is straight up ridiculous and bs. What would happen if after only knowing her through a journal and meeting her and realizing he didn’t like her in that way? Y'all messed up Square and Tabata. People can like Noctis and Luna all you want but I honestly hate it.

It might be canon, but the fact that it was supposed to be an OPEN INTERPRETATION ENDING wasn’t so open because they literally tried to shove a ship down our throats that had a weak plot. If they tried to make it more believable, maybe I’d like it but I really don’t and never will.

Don’t message me, comment, or send me any asks about it because y'all should know by now I hate that ship A LOT.

this week is possibly the most stressful week of my life and i am Dying

This week’s episode in a nutshell

So anyway here’s a doodle comic I started but just… can’t… finish…

I probably have like a year before this variation of Pink and White Diamond are shot to bits so lemme have some fun.

  • Lily: All men are dogs.
  • Remus: *staring at Sirius* Some more than others.
  • Sirius: Do wolves count as dogs?
  • Peter: I'm not a dog.
  • James: No, I see you more as a rat.
  • Lily: I don't know where this conversation has gone.

The living room wasn’t meant to sleep nine bodies but somehow they made a workable nest out of it.

I am so emotional over these kids and I couldn’t get this scene out of my head.
