there are just so many good moments

My thoughts on 6x14 Page 23

After the awfulness of the two previous episodes in Robin’s arc, I was pretty fearful about this episode. I wanted to have hope, but to be honest, I lost my trust when it came to the writing. But I was wrong. At least, partly. Because while the writing did have some hiccups (Hook’s story was just as strange and badly written as Robin’s was in the last two eps, and Snow had some strange lines), overall, it was a beautiful and emotionally totally satisfying episode. It was a great one for Regina as a person, it was a pretty good way to end the SplitQueen story (could it have been better? Maybe, but I liked this solution too), and if OQ must have ended, at least we got a copy of them living happily ever after, in another realm where they are safe from the OUAT writers’ great ideas and shocking twists. And we got so many beautiful moments, Regina-moments, SplitQueen moments, Regal Believer moments, Outlaw Queen moments (with sass!) By the episode end, I was in tears. It was quite the journey, and it was great.

More detailed analysis after the cut.

Name everyone you ship in Agents of Shield

Well, if you follow my blog you know my OTP of OTPs is Philinda. Always and forever.

Other than Philinda, the only canon ship I consistently like right now. Yoyo is so sweet and Mack deserves to be happy.

I go back and forth with Fitzsimmons, for many reasons. But at the moment I’m not so not shipping them. Plus, Fitzsimmons shippers are kind of scary.

Shake and Bake. Just. For the ship name.

Pipsy! Alright, so I came up with this in a group chat but it’s a brilliant idea. Who better to date Daisy than the girl who totally had a crush on May?

Really sweet, although bigger fan of it in S1 than 2 and 3, 4 has been good though.

4. How old were you when you started playing video games? (Or Zelda specifically)

I was born playing video games lol. As for loz, I got into it around the age of 8 (might’ve actually been 7) when my brother and his girlfriend at the time got me Ocarina of Time for Christmas. They had no idea what it was they were just like, “Here, maybe you’ll like this.” They were right.

5. What is your favorite Zelda moment?

There are so many good ones, but having recently played SS in the winter and really enjoying it, the scene where Link and Zelda finally reunite (THE HAPPY ONE)

7. Which dungeon would you say you enjoyed the most?

Hmmm, this is something I’ve never thought about before to be honest. I enjoy just about all of them for the puzzles they offer, but if I had to choose just one…..I’ve always loved the Spirit Temple in OoT! The drastic, yet kind of depressing atmosphere it offers with the music is something I really enjoy, and also the fact that it really feels like the final dungeon before getting ready to go up against Ganondorf himself (unless people did the Shadow Temple after the Spirit Temple lol I’ve personally never done that tho)

I wonder from where so many Americans get the idea that voting is supposed to be some expression of your deepest, most beloved values and virtues rather than a pragmatic, political move meant to shift your country as much closer to your ideal as possible. This strikes me as another example of extreme individualism. Voting isn’t about *you*. It’s about your city, state, and/or country. It doesn’t have to feel transcendently good deep down in your bones. It just has to *do* as much good as you can do, in this particular moment in time.

ok can i just point out that in Secret Friend Day Stephanie says the friend she picked from the helmet is a ‘very special friend’

and who’s present does she make?

Stephanie considers Robbie to be a Very Special Friend™ and I think that’s just one of the purest things to come from this show

And when you see those good things–and I promise you, there are so many good things–they’re going to be so much brighter for you than they are for other people, just like the abyss always seems deeper and bigger when you stare at it. If you stick it out, it’s all going to feel worth it in the end. Every moment you live, every darkness you face, they’ll all feel worth it when you’re staring light in the face.

know what makes me cry?

in deathly hallows when harry and hermione go see james and lily’s gravestone and they see hundreds upon hundreds of messages scribbled on or around the grave that say “good luck harry!”, “here’s to the boy who lived” and others of the sort.

they all knew harry would come to see his parents, and everyone knew that in that moment he would grieve, just like they all did. All of those hundreds of people visited james and lily’s grave, and each one of them wanted to tell harry that although he was an orphan, he was loved by so many.

i also can’t help but think that the first message scribbled on there was “you are loved, harry” written by remus two nights after halloween. every visitor since has made their own addition over it, but if you look very closely near the bottom of the grave, you can see it. every full moon the message glows faintly.

Don’t say that NCT didn’t work as hard as the others

Don’t put down Pentagon

Don’t call SF9 ugly and untalented to make your faves look better

Don’t ignore Astro’s hard work

Don’t forget that we all knew as soon as it dropped that KNK’s Knock was a bop

Putting down other groups does NOT make your group look any better.

NCT promoted as SMROOKIES for 3 years, gathering a lot of fans in that time, also getting promoted on shows like exo 90:2014 and mickey mouse club. They were not just handed their fame, most of them have trained for years for this. Ignoring their talent just because they’re under SM is dumb, SM picked them all for a reason, some of them even giving up on some school to become a trainee. So many people aren’t even acknowledging that Mark debuted 3 times and he’s only 17. He probably still gets good grades in school too. Truly amazing.

Pentagon has been through so much. They have a fairly big fandom at the moment, even though they just debuted. Their survival show made you clench your heart, especially when the babies got eliminated. All of them, especially the ones that were eliminated on Pentagon Maker, have been working extremely hard to be as best as they can. E’Dawn even got to promote with Hyuna last year for Roll Deep while Ilhoon was busy.

SF9 has also been through a lot. We started with 11 members and had to face the fact that Alex and Jinkyu didn’t make it into the lineup. From then on, we got to watch Click Your Heart and D.O.B. D.O.B was their survival show where they battled against the band team to see who would debut. This was really good news, actually, because for a long time we had been told all 9 members wouldn’t be able to debut. SF9 made the choreography for their dance covers on D.O.B and really proved their talents. They ended up winning D.O.B and debuting on October 5th with the bop known as Fanfare and will be continuing promotions with K.O soon! (also sf9 and astro are gonna be promoting at the same time i hope moonbin and chanhee meet again)

Astro, where do I even start. I’ve been a fan of Astro since mid-2015 so I’ve really seen them grow. From doing performances at Lotte World to performing in different countries, they’ve really made it big. To Be Continued and OK Ready were super iconic, both becoming pretty popular. They debuted with Hide and Seek, getting lots of attention and new fans. Seeing them grow up and becoming these popular idols has really been amazing.

KNK have not released a bad song yet. Knock was a bop, Back Again was a bop, and I’m anticipating their new song to be a bop also. I only found out about KNK when Knock was released but immediately I knew they were special, their heights are not everything. They have all worked hard, especially coming from a pretty small company, to get their popularity and I am so proud they got nominated for MAMAs.

Please don’t put down any of these groups. They’ve all worked extremely hard to get where they are now

Can we just take a moment to appreciate that when Emori is talking about Murphy’s cooking skills, she says “A good Ramsay is rare”, likely referring to Gordon Ramsay? This means the Grounders somehow remember him. Someone made sure that in this post-apocalyptic world, people still know about Gordon Ramsay.

Oh Lucy

She thought she lost Aquarius for good….

She thought she lost Natsu…

We know Lucy loves her spirits with all her heart. To me, those smiles are very similar. So I’ll be damned if Lucy doesn’t love Natsu with all her heart as well. Lucy may not have had many fight scenes but she has been on an emotional rollercoaster, there’s no question of that.

Natsu, your girl needs some love.  ╰(◡‿◡✿╰)

Anyone who has seen New Hope should remember the line about the fact that many people died to get those Death Star plans so that eventually Luke could to blow it up. So I expected to lose at least part of the Rogue One crew. But the movie did such a good job of giving each one of them their own time (obviously some had more than others… Jyn was the lead and integral to it all and Cassian was next) within the movie to shine and for you to love them. And because of that, it really hit me hard when each one of them eventually fell. They didn’t all just get their own moments to shine. Each one got their own death scene and got to face it head on knowing it was their choice and that what they were doing was worth it. It was sad, but it was powerful and moving too. I really did expect at least Jyn to make it out. But they went out heroes. Without them, the Rebellion would have died. They gave it the New Hope. May the Force be with them.

Klance vs Sheith

Dear Klance Shippers,

so with the new season comes a lot of controversy on the issue of ship wars. I am in love with Klance and it is definitely my OTP, but tbh Sheith had a really good season?? there were so many moments and I’m super excited for you Sheith fans, and although I wish there were more Klance moments, I would just like to say that trying to attack Sheith is a dick move. Be proud of them, because if you were in their position, you would be excited as well so don’t even attempt to try and fight the Sheith fans on this. The whole “brother-zone” and “#sheithisdead is such a horrible thing to do to that ship?? they didn’t ask for this, and you have to be empathetic and put yourself in their shoes!! I love Klance, but I am also proud of Sheith because they had an amazing season, so don’t try and ruin this for the Sheith fans.

Sheith deserves the same level of respect that Klance has. This new season was amazing and I’m so excited to see the new art, videos, fans, and fics that come out of it!

sebastian stan is appreciated yet underappreciated at the same time. he’s pretty but he’s also this really good, interesting person.

this panel has so many good moments [x] such as:

  • had to stop speaking because he couldn’t stop staring at this dog.
  • remembers taking a picture with someone
  • “when you’re given a platform you have to do something about have to expand beyond your own personal goals.”
  • “i never really thought in a million years that this character or these stories or something, you know, to have someone, who, just reached out to me and said you know, ‘thank you for recognizing something or i’m related to this’ is probably the most gratifying experience out of this whole process.”
  • “the task for me would be to be more involved and see where I can help…even if it’s just, I don’t know, putting a smile on someone’s face, or answering some questions or you know, making someone feel better.”
  • “i’m awkward, I get nervous nervous, I get panic attacks, I get crazy, you know, whatever, depression.”
  • “my job is always to remain as honest as I can and to just, i don’t know, help in some way.”
  • goes on this whole thing about trying to focus on what he can control v what he can’t control, how that helps him to be a happier, better person.
  • “one of my goals in life is to really embrace struggle.”
  • “it’s important to kinda take in and be really grateful about sort of what’s happening, which i always remind myself, no matter what, and i really, really am.”

this video is in romanian w/ english subtitles, so all info is from there [x]

  • “i was very lucky, i tend to forget this. when i was 22 or 23 years old i wasn’t thinking about what it meant to her after the revolution came, to decide to go elsewhere for a better life.” on his mother, the sacrifices she made, and better understanding now that he’s older.
  • “after my grandma died, to be honest, it was difficult for me to go back there cause i had to go to the cemetery, to live that moment again, and face what happened with her. it was a very delicate situation for me.”
  • “when i saw that car driving fast with that flag with the hole in the middle, I felt like… i always remember something major, important was happening.” on the revolution when he was a kid.
  • “when i was watching it (a video of Ceausescu) i felt something so…i mean, i remember like the memories were there in my muscles. i felt like a knife went through me when i heard that voice it felt to me like it was yesterday.”
  • “the thing that i feel changed most was a deeper sense of responsibility.” on being asked if fame changed him.
  • his parents are what keep his interest in romania alive, and are the reasons he can still speak the language.

here’s another panel [x]

  • remembers more fans.
  • “the rough patches that you may going through are sort of, also, these great gifts that you can kind of rise from.”
  • paraphrasing but: we’re all capable of rising from difficult moments in our lives to get somewhere.
  • “it’s the company you keep. people you surround yourself are extensions of you, that’s how i always feel..and i was lucky to have good influences.”
  • gives a fan a hug.
  • space nerd who exposes his knowledge and would live on the moon.

Bonus things:

  • i think it’s important to remind the people we love why we love them or how they’ve touched us. i mean, i guess if it wasn’t for my mom i could probably be, not even in america right now. [x]
  • "embrace your differences and the qualities about you that you think are weird. eventually they’re going to be the only things separating you from everyone else.” [x]

Why has it become the norm to scream that a ship is abusive just because you don’t like it? Like this is something that is becoming frightening common and I’ve seen this thrown at so many ships. So many good ships that people would rather twist and scream at than respect and tolerate. Are some of y'all really that petty that you feel a sliver of a moment, taken out of context from the situation, is enough for you rewrite an entire character’s arch to meet your own hatred? Its one thing to call a character/ship out for abuse when it is present, it’s another to make things up. Shame on you. These characters deserve better.
