THE MAGIC BEGINS » 10. saddest scene / the prince’s tale.

”I have spied for you and lied for you, put myself in mortal danger for you. Everything was supposed to be to keep Lily Potter’s son safe. Now you tell me you have been raising him like a pig for slaughter – “
”But this is touching, Severus,” said Dumbledore seriously. “Have you grown to care for the boy, after all?”
”For him?” shouted Snape. “Expecto Patronum!”
From the tip of his wand burst the silver doe. She landed on the office floor, bounded once across the office, and soared out of the window. Dumbledore watched her fly away, and as her silvery glow faded he turned back to Snape, and his eyes were full of tears.
     ”After all this time?”
     ”Always.” said Snape.

28. A Scene you wanted in the movies - Harry repairs his wand

He rummaged in the pouch hung around his neck, and pulled out the two halves of holly still, just, connected by the thread of phoenix feather. Hermione had said that they could not be repaired, that the damage was too severe. All he knew was that if this did not work, nothing would.

He laid the broken wand upon the headmaster’s desk, touched it with the very tip of the Elder Wand and said, ‘Reparo’.

As his wand resealed, red sparks flew out of its end. Harry knew that he had succeeded. He picked up the holly and phoenix wand, and felt a sudden warmth in his fingers, as though wand and hand were rejoicing at their reunion.

The Magic Begins: Day 7 - Favorite scene

↳  As the Inquisitorial Squad closed in, Fred and George kicked off from the floor, shooting fifteen feet into the air, the iron peg swinging dangerously below. Fred looked across the hall at the poltergeist bobbing on his level above the crowd. ”Give her hell from us, Peeves.” And Peeves, whom Harry had never seen take an order from a student before, swept his belled hat from his head and sprang to a salute as Fred and George wheeled about to tumultuous applause from the students below and sped out of the open front doors into the glorious sunset.

THE MAGIC BEGINS ϟ 1. Favourite character

-Harry Potter
I can say I have two favourite characters: Harry and Sirius. Considering I’ll use Sirius in another question for this challenge, I’m using Harry in the first one. And why Harry? First of all, without him I literally don’t know where I would be right now. I grew up with him; yes, with the rest of characters too, but it was always about Harry, and not only because he was the main character. I love the fact he have flaws, they make him more human, something I haven’t found a lot in heros during my life. He’s brave, he’s loyal, he’s powerful, he’s protective, and he have a very very big heart. And I’ll also say I share some personality aspects with him, which in a way, made me love him even more.

9. a character you feel the need to defend ✦ Draco Lucius Malfoy

I just feel that although he was a horrific bully, he became a Death Eater and he did some terrible things there are very few people who wouldn’t have done the same in his position. He was constantly indoctrinated with the Pureblood, ‘Hail the Dark Lord’ ideology by all the role models in his life. He had Lucius Malfoy as a father, Bellatrix and Rodolphus Lestrange as an aunt and uncle who all had Dark Marks and demanded respect and were wealthy. Plus, he was bullied by his father and would have been desperate to earn his respect, or even a little praise, in any way he could. And even though he took the Dark Mark he never really followed through with any of the things he was instructed to do: kill Dumbledore, he didn’t give up Harry when it really mattered. And I know people could cite Sirius or Andromeda to prove that he doesn’t have any excuses, but I’m not saying he is the perfect character (as none JK’s characters are), he could even be called a coward but I view him as a conflicted, and chiefly scared character whom I feel great sympathy for.
