[Updated 07/03/2014]

Hello everyone. This has been a little project of mine over the past few days

I hope you all enjoy this listing, and share it around. Share all the science. :3

I will be editing this from time to time and I’ll keep a link to it on my blog so you can find it easily.

This is not meant to be a list of all science blogs on tumblr. Only all the ones I know about (which is still a lot but definitely not all). The blogs listed are all active as well (within the past few weeks).

If you are not on the list and want me to check out your blog, send me a message. I may or may not follow you

I categorized each blog by scientific field:

Anthropology, Astronomy, Biology, Botany, Chemistry, Engineering/Technology, Environmental Science, General Science, Geography, Geology, Mathematics, Medical, Paleontology, Physics, Psychology and Zoology

The first post got too big, and I’ve had to split it into two posts.

Post #1 Contains the fields of Anthropology, Astronomy, Biology, Botany, Chemistry, Engineering/Technology and Environmental Science.

This post contains General Science, Geography, Geology, Mathematics, Medical, Paleontology, Physics, Psychology and Zoology.

If you’re not happy with the section I put you in, send me a message and I’ll make an edit. I had to make quick decisions on hundreds of blogs, I’m only human.

Its a LONG post, so it might be easier to just search for the field you’re interested in.

With that said, enjoy!

Blogs to Follow If You're Pre-Med

Just to preface, not all of the blogs I’m recommending here are devoted only to pre-med posts. Some of these are just blogs of people who are pre-med and talk about it, especially those that give great advice. These are in no particular order, I pretty much just looked through my “following” list and picked out my faves. These are simply my suggestions. If you have more, feel free to reblog and add to it!

  • philosonista: She’s pre-MD/PhD, like me. Proud to say I sorta go to school with this person. She has very interesting posts, partially because she’s a philosophy major. Very little reblogs, so mostly her own content.
  • bikesbrainsbetterliving: She is an MD/PhD student! Answers questions and gives great advice. Her blog is all original stuff. She’s also a cyclist and lifter, so if you’re a fitblr then that’s all the more reason to follow her.
  • thelifeofapremed: Great stuff on here on MCAT studying and the like. Also, funny posts related to pre-med topics. Mostly a reblog type of blog, but does add a lot to the posts.
  • aspiringdoctors: Similar type of stuff to the above. Many tips and much advice. She’s currently in medical school and does talk about her experiences there.
  • cranquis: An actual doctor who works in an urgent care clinic. Totally hilarious and very very helpful. If you’re not following him you’re doing something wrong. Haha.
  • md-admissions: The title of the blog is a bit misleading. She is a medical student who talks about her experiences and reblogs funny medical-related things.
  • articulomortis: This is primarily a reblog sort of blog and it’s all about anatomy.
  • vivialive: This is a particularly good follow for you fitblrs. She’s a medical student and a yoga instructor. Not at all a reblog blog. It’s all about her experiences in life.
  • Edgar Ordaz: This isn’t a blog, it’s a YouTube channel, but I highly recommend his videos. He talks about study tips and being a student in his vlogs. That’s basically like a blog, right? He has an instagram, too, link on his channel. Also lifts… brah.

I’ll make more of these. I was tempted to put science blogs, since that’s relevant to medicine, but I realize that not all the same science is interesting to every pre-med, so I’ll make a separate list on those. See other blogs I recommend here.
