Did Kristen Stewart’s Mom Just ‘Out’ Her? Seems like it...

K-Stew’s mom: “I’ve met Kristens new girlfriend. I like her!” her mom gushed when talking about the two.“What’s not to accept? She’s a lovely girl.”

We’re still waiting for official confirmation from K-Stew herself, so keep an eye out. Until then, we hope “Kriscia” are having a happy Pride Month along with the rest of us.

My Wednesday Wardrobe- Universal Soldier
I had more fun styling this Dolph Lundgren tee than I can tell you! Oh the things you can find in Hollywood! It was a gift from my hubs via a double feature event screening Universal Soldier and Rocky IV at which Dolph himself attended. Too funny!
The outfit:
Top- black graphic tee via Dammaged Goods events
Bottoms- yellow mini skirt via Express
Feet- the classic black Chuck Taylor All Stars
The details- beaded headband via LOFT; silver studs via Lia Sophia; wrap bracelet via Premier Designs, blue bangle via Tommy Hilfiger, and silver bangle, my own. Fringed bag by Target limited edition (thrifted!)
I recently saw a quote from Pinterest that said, “If it makes you laugh, either buy it or marry it!”. If there are items in your wardrobe or things you’ve thought about adding I say go for it and bring out the happy! When something makes you laugh it can’t help but lighten your countenance and bring out your best! Happy hump day! Xo, The Closeteer ;)

My Wednesday Wardrobe-

Gettin’ back to Basics!

No, I’m not talking about Spanx© or under garments, although I’m sure I will cover that someday, as they are equally important to creating a pulled together, polished look. I’m talking about BASICS. They are the foundation to a personalized look and a quick go-to when there’s no time to think about what to wear.
If you’re like me (a full time Mom and wife) that’s more often the case than not. Not that I don’t love to put together fun outfits, but this formula has served me well so many times!

Here it is; a look everyone should have on hand! Start with a favorite pair of jeans. Add a black or white basic top. It can be a tee or it can be a blouse. Whatever your pleasure, make it a good one. This means something high quality (since you’ll wear it a lot) and something with a cut that really flatters your figure. Choose whichever color you feel and look best in. I love black. But I’ll show you a white option as well. Once you have these basics in place, the world is your oyster as far as what you can add!

The Basics:

White rayon tee via Express- rayon tends to hang well and keep better than plain cotton, and it is super soft and comfy as a pajama shirt!

Black top by ? via Marshalls (score!)- this top has a look to it that is a notch above a tee shirt but is simple, classy and a great canvas to show off statement jewels! I love the little details like cuffed short sleeves and an exposed zipper (not shown) on the back.

Jeans- skinny jeans by SO via Kohl’s…these guys get worn with everything! Wear them with boots, plain or messy rolled for a new twist on a classic.

I’ve paired the white tee 3 ways here. 1st- Dressed up at the top with a striped blazer, and three layers of necklaces, a giant ring, silver belt and grey and black mary jane pumps. 2nd- A casual on the town look, with a hot pink cardigan, ruffled scarf, gold locket, sage green translucent cuff and gold sequined flats. 3rd- Everyday casual, with a bronze tiered necklace, bronze octopus cuff bracelet, and earrings, with my red canvas slip on shoes.

Next the black top three ways; 4th- Date night classy with a pearl lace collar necklace (THIS thing was an incredible b-day gift thrifted by my Mom!), layered gold bracelets, black leather booties and RED lips! 5th- Winter layers, with an ivory knit scarf, bright punch of color with the marigold cargo jacket and brown leather riding boots. And lastly, 6th- Knocking around the house or doing errands, with a chunky turquoise beaded necklace, silver cuff and black flip flops!

As you can see, there are so many things you could do with these simple basics! Start there and add some fun! I couldn’t stop here so what I ended up wearing was completely different after all my “wardrobe” changes. :)
