Common Ft. Nas - Ghetto Dreams

Ghetto Dreams is the first single from Common’s upcoming album The Dreamer, The Believer set to drop November 22.  The track’s lyrics are pretty fly, and surely something expected from both Common & Nas.  

Erykah Badu Shuts Down D.O.C’s Claims

Erykah Badu expressed that rapper D.O.C’s recent claims that they are in a serious relationship and in the works of filming a reality show of their union are all false.  Badu says that they are both actively in their shared daughter’s life but do no have any plans to be getting married anytime soon.  As far as the reality show, Badu says that she has no intention in having anything filmed at her private residence and only plans to have a guest appearance on the scheduled show. 

“BedRock” might cost Lil Wayne $15 Million

Done Deal Enterprises is suing Lil Wayne, Cash Money Records, and Young Money Records for the use of BedRock which they claim is their copyrighted property.  Done Deal Enterprises is stating that the tune BedRock, being featured on the album “We Are Young Money, pushed an estimated 3 million copies.  Court is set in October where we’ll see if Young Money got enough money or if they can fight the case.

Karmaloop TV to Hit Your Actual Television Screens

We all love the styles and fashion Karmaloop.com brings to us.  Eventually the site launched some great videos on karmalooptv.com about the lifestyle and and brand they represent.  But now as Pharrell Williams as their creative director, Karmaloop TV is getting ready for their own cable network channel.  Williams was recently on Bloomburg TV with the CEO of Karmaloop Greg Selkoe, which you can watch by clicking here.  I can’t wait to see the content, they are even gonna have KUNG FU - YEAH!

Rick Ross Teams Up with Wingstop

Rick Ross has just revealed that he has signed a development agreement with the popular chicken wing joint Wingstop.  Ross says, “After tasting Wingstop’s signature lemon pepper–flavored wings in Miami, I knew this was a franchise I wanted to add to my investments,” according to allhiphop.com.  Ross has already planned to open his first location in Memphis this upcoming fall. 

D.O.C. Talks about Studio Time with Dr. Dre & Snoop Dogg

D.O.C. has had his issues with Dre, claiming he was underpaid for his ghostwritting for Dre’s projects, but in a recent interview with the Dallas Observer, which can be read in full by clicking here, D.O.C. states that he’s been back in the studio with Dre and Snoop Dogg finishing up an album.  D.O.C. also reveals he’s looking into filming a reality show with his now girlfriend Erykah Badu. 

Beyonce’s 4 Show Sells Out in 22 Seconds

Reports say that when Beyonce’s intimate small show 4 went on sale, the tickets for the first show sold out in 22 seconds.  The New York shows are designed to be intimate and only a limited number of tickets would be sold also only having 4 shows lined up.  There are still tickets available for the other 3 shows but you should snatch them up quick if they are going this fast.

Kelly Rowland Double Nip-Slip

While performing in New Jersey over the weekend, the beautiful Kelly Rowland suffered some sort of wordrobe malfunction resulting in both her breast slipping from under her bra, or top, or whatever that contraption on her chest is.  At least Rowland was a good sport about it, tweeting, “New Jersey crowd was amazing!! hope you enjoyed the show and didnt mind the peekaboo LOL!!! #kanyeshrug #stuffhappens”. Everyone love’s a little underboob, but maybe someone should invest in some pasties. 

Eminem to be Featured on Christina Aguilera’s New Album

We know they’ve had their beef but there are reports that Christina Aguilera will have Eminem on a track on her upcoming new album.  Reports say Aguilera was concerned in producing a successful album because of the disappointment of her last album Bionic, hoping collaborating with Eminem will step her game up.

Forbes recently reported their list of top hip-hop earners of the year.  For the third consecutive year, Jay Hova really is sitting on a throne, being at the top of that list.  Reports indicate that Shawn Carter himself earned $37 million this year.  Forbes also reports Nicki Minaj on the list, being the first female to be on the list, EVER.
