A Brooklyn man built an igloo during the 2016 blizzard and decided to list it on Airbnb for $200. Although the rental site has a legitimate ‘igloo’ category, they removed the listing for failing to meet occupancy standards.

“Boutique winter igloo for 2: Built completely by hand all natural. Come experience this chic dome-style bungalow with Bae.“

"This snowpocalypse’s most desirable getaway… dripping with ingenuity and alt-lifestyle aura.”

I’m very concerned for his toes..

But the candle is a nice touch- oh wait… nvm.

"We are happy to see that you guys are staying busy and having fun during Blizpocalypse. Unfortunately, your igloo, while very well constructed, has failed to meet our occupancy standards and has been removed from search results. Be sure to pick a place with running water, electricity, and a roof that doesn’t melt.”

It’s a story no one wants to hear about. How we got here, how the stars came together for a perfect eternity but couldn’t stand all the pressure. How every eclipse since then has felt lacking. What do you tell them when they ask about me? Do you mention how the galaxy lit up before it went all dark, how the moon smiled down at us, how you told me it looked sad?

It’s about high-school nausea and running in circles. It’s about everything aligning only to fall apart again. It’s about merry-go-rounds and how you always get dizzy after a while but you get on anyway. It’s about how that summer felt much more like winter after you left; how every summer since has come with a bit of rain.

No one wants to hear about the build-up before the break down. No one cares how good things were until they went bad. They’ll say a rotten fruit was ripe once, but that doesn’t make it any less poisonous now.

Nicole Schultz Photography 2016 // Ocala, FL portrait session

WEF WEEK 9: March 11-13th, I am scheduling portrait sessions! Limited spots available.

HITS OCALA: All winter circuit I am scheduling sessions. I can come to the show grounds or to your farm!

It’s winter again: the sky’s a deep, headstrong blue, and the sunlight pours through

the open living-room windows because the heat’s on too high in here and I can’t turn it off. For weeks now, driving, or dropping a bag of groceries in the street, the bag breaking,

I’ve been thinking: This is what the living do. And yesterday, hurrying along those wobbly bricks in the Cambridge sidewalk, spilling my coffee down my wrist and sleeve,

I thought it again, and again later, when buying a hairbrush: This is it. Parking. Slamming the car door shut in the cold. What you called that yearning.

What you finally gave up. We want the spring to come and the winter to pass. We want whoever to call or not call, a letter, a kiss―we want more and more and then more of it.

But there are moments, walking, when I catch a glimpse of myself in the window glass, say, the window of the corner video store, and I’m gripped by a cherishing so deep

for my own blowing hair, chapped face, and unbuttoned coat that I’m speechless: I am living. I remember you.

Avengers Age of Ultron was - - - well, that depends on how you view this movie, cleaning up after SHIELD/Hydra, the catalyst for the Sokovia Accords, lots of great cap eye-candy

In all the previous Cap movies we got just the Basic-Bucky-as-Steve’s-Friend story

What if Captain America Civil War is the origin story for Bucky as Cap?

Lupita Nyong’o wears comfortable boots and folds one half of the sheets given to her, and it’s like the sun has come out on a bleak winter day

I’m in a mood tonight. Which basically means I’ve been crying a lot.

I’ve been sick for more than two weeks, I have almost no work right now, and with taxes around the corner I’m looking into the future with my balls in my throat. I suppose being sick doesn’t help, but dammit it’s fucking hard sometimes.

Trying to write for a living is a wonderful, glorious, exciting, thrilling, satisfying, and insanely agonizing endeavor. I keep writing, I keep making books, I keep publishing stories, but at the end of the day, it’s not really working. Don’t get me wrong, I like the writing I’m doing, it’s just not paying the bills. Or even thinking about doing the dishes. It’s really just hanging around doing fuck all.

So I don’t know if this is a rant or a plea, or simply me venting some frustration, some fear and doubt, and all those other demons that come out on cold winter nights. But there it is. I’m lonely, tired, scared, and overwhelmed by the path ahead.

I suspect it will be better in the morning. Most storms don’t last. But goddamnit tonight is cold and dark.

every summer I’m like “I hate showing my body I can’t wait for winter I’ll feel better then” and then winter comes and I never do. tea.
