I am not gonna jeopardize the rest of the team because you have something to prove to your high-school sweetheart. Oh, and you’re not trying to prove something to Sterling? You’re not trying to prove something to the world every time we help somebody out? We’re all trying to prove something, just being here with you.
I just watched The Two-Horse Job again and I’m just gonna leave this here that I love the way Eliot kisses? He doesn’t force anything, doesn’t even innitiate the kiss, it’s so soft and careful and Aimee ends up pinning him against the wall. And it’s the same later with Mikel and Kaye Lynn, and even in the damn D.B. Cooper Job, where it’s not actually Eliot and Parker, but it’s still such an Eliot kiss - soft and careful and gentle and everything he is not when he’s fighting
I know I only
just got into this fandom, but yeah I might have gone a little overboard with
my research on Eliot’s glasses because I have a Thing for them
I think, yes he needs them - he wore them outside of cons in season 1 a couple
times (definitely in The Nigerian Job and The Two-Horse Job), then there’s the “New glasses” comment in The Jailhouse Job, and I think one of the
creators answered some questions from the fans at some point and said that,
while Christian apparently doesn’t need glasses, Eliot does.
(possibly the same creator, possibly another one - I’d have to look for it
again and I don’t know all their names yet) said that, while they pretty much treated them like reading glasses, if
they had to pick they’d say Eliot is probably a bit near-sighted.
think I need to correct myself here - I went A LOT overboard with my
“STERLING: Tell you the truth, though. I’d kind of given up on Foss. I like the trainer for the fire, Willy Martin. NATE: Willy Martin’s an innocent man. STERLING: We’re insurance men, Nate. We don’t care about who’s innocent and who’s guilty. Just who pays.”
-Melissa Glenn + Jessica Grasl (Leverage: The Two-Horse Job)
Looks like Parker’s gonna have to crawl through the air duct again. God forbid anyone else would have to learn how to frickin’ crawl on their stomach through a tiny space. It’s not rocket science, people.
Parker, Leverage, 1x03 “The Two-Horse Job” (2008)
another excellent trope inversion that leverage does is the angry kiss in the heat of a fight?? i’ve noticed that every time eliot does that sexual tension fighting heat up with a woman (first with aimee in the two horse job, then with mikel in the two live crew job for specifics) and they come to that moment where like, in your mind you’re just like oh shiiit she gonna fall for the eliot spencer sway, its not this hard bruising kiss we always see in these types of situations, but always soft, gentle, almost hesitant on eliot’s end and i love that???? so much????
