Dropped off @laura_millan at work at #emp and walked up to #thecannibal! What a great selection of beer, offal, charcuterie and other rich, healthy, meaty grub! Loved the place at first sight. I had a lamb sausage plate with chickpeas, a great parsley salad, fennel and garlic top puree, and a chickpea caper salad – perfect light appetizer for a Middle Eastern cook dining solo.

I loves my farmhouse ale with the pigs head cuban too!!! What a great place.

holy shit you can’t imagine how fucking glad i am to tell you in detail what was in the perfect salad.

LAYER ONE: bagged lettuce mix, italian i think.

LAYER 2: a sliced roma tomato

LAYER 2: a sliced avocado, perfectly ripe


LAYER 3: cauliflower, broken up small

LAYER 3: broccoli, cut up also-small


LAYER 4: a breaded chicken breast, cut into pieces

toss with ken’s steakhouse caesar dressing


throw in some croutons


Salad sadness :(

You know when you’ve made yourself that perfect salad with Italian lettuce, baby spinach, avocado, cucumber, lentils, borlotti beans with your own very awesome lemon, lime and coriander and black pepper dressing and you’re working your ass off looking forward to lunch… and someone ate your food?? :( That happened.

I’m doing some major fat burning at the moment, trying to lean out some more the next 12 weeks and gosh man, I get intense about my damn food!!!!!!!

GREEN GOODNESS BOWL 💚💚 After yoga today I felt like a really clean raw veggie bowl. This was so perfect. Mixed green salad of chopped cos lettuce, kale, Savoy cabbage, coriander, broccoli, and cucumber with avocado dressing, raw macadamia crumble, hemp seeds, cracked black pepper and fresh lime juice. To make the avocado dressing it’s just ripe avocado blended with water - that’s it! Simple is the best. You can also wrap this in corn mountain bread or nori ✨💫


Hey guys! Those of you who have been with this blog 4 a while know that today is National Caesar Salad Day and so obv I have to make smthn 4 that every year.

But this year is a little bit different bc I decided to make this post in honor of my friend Donna who passed away two weeks ago after a long battle with cancer. 

Let me tell you all a story about Donna. Or about caesar salad. See, I used to think Caesar salad was dumb/pointless like “wtf it’s just lettuce and croutons like what even IS that?” but Donna, who was a quasi-foodie, taught me that it was all about the dressing, and a good Caesar dressing should have anchovies in it and all these fake-ass Caesar dressings without anchovies (sorry, vegetarians) were just not even worth bothering with tbh. 

So I was like “I’ma dedicate Caesar Salad Day post to Donna” and so if you’re wondering why the cats are there, it’s because Donna loooooved cats #crazycatlady especially orange kitties. And so I just started making this, not really knowing how it was gonna end, but then it turned into this whole “life is too short for fat-free food” thing, which I can tell you is 100000% Donna and so then I got a little verklempt at the end of this actually and the inspirational message I accidentally created. #Caesartheday

So anyway, happy Caesar Salad Day everyone! Hope you have some greens along with your hotdogs and whatnot (4 Americans…or anyone else eating hotdogs today tbh), have an extra slice of pie or whatever, and hug your friends and family and tell them you love them.

Salad Blaghhhggger

Syrian Potato Salad.

Perfect for Shabbat or a picnic or a refreshing lunch on a hot summer day!


  • 6 medium potatoes*
  • ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • ¾ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 hard-boiled eggs, sliced
  • 4 scallions, chopped

* I leave the peels on for added fiber and nutrients, along with lowering the glycemic index of the potatoes.


  1. Boil the potatoes in large pot until tender, about 20 minutes.
  2. Cut the potatoes into small squares and place in medium mixing bowl.
  3. Add the olive oil and lemon juice, then the seasonings.
  4. Gently mix the potatoes and place sliced eggs on top.

Serves 6
