How to Practice Effectively

Mastering any physical skill, be it performing a pirouette, playing an instrument, or throwing a baseball, takes practice. Practice is the repetition of an action with the goal of improvement, and it helps us perform with more ease, speed, and confidence.

There are many theories that attempt to quantify the number of hours, days, and even years of practice that it takes to master a skill. While we don’t yet have a magic number, we do know that mastery isn’t simply about the amount of hours of practice. It’s also the quality and effectiveness of that practice. Effective practice is consistent, intensely focused, and targets content or weaknesses that lie at the edge of one’s current abilities. So if effective practice is the key, how can we get the most out of our practice time?

Below are 4 tips for practicing better for just about anything!

1. Focus on the task at hand. Minimize potential distractions by turning off the computer or TV and putting your cell phone on airplane mode. In one study, researchers observed 260 students studying. On average, those students were able to stay on task for only six minutes at a time. Laptops, smartphones, and particularly Facebook were the root of most distractions.

2. Start out slowly or in slow-motion. Coordination is built with repetitions, whether correct or incorrect. If you gradually increase the speed of the quality repetitons, you have a better chance of doing them correctly.

3. Next, frequent repetitions with allotted breaks are common practice habits of elite performers. Studies have shown that many top athletes, musicians, and dancers spend 50-60 hours per week on activities related to their craft. Many divide their time used for effective practice into multiple daily practice sessions of limited duration.

4. Finally, practice in your brain in vivid detail. It’s a bit surprising, but a number of studies suggest that once a physical motion has been established, it can be reinforced just by imagining it. In one study, 144 basketball players were divided into two groups. Group A physically practiced one-handed free throws while Group B only mentally practiced them. When they were tested at the end of the two week experiment, the intermediate and experienced players in both groups had improved by nearly the same amount.

As scientists get closer to unraveling the secrets of our brains, our understanding of effective practice will only improve. In the meantime, effective practice is the best way we have of pushing our individual limits, achieving new heights, and maximizing our potential.

This may be a weird question but do you think someone white would be taken more seriously when writing different races and ethnicities if they kept their identity anonymous? I've been writing a book for that is full of different races and ethnic groups. I gave it to an editor & the first thing he said was "way to really reach the diversity quota here, you'll get more readers with this." This hurt. I truly love my characters. I don't want them seen as just a ploy or a bating tactic.

White Privilege, Publishing, and Diversity Quotas

As in most cases, white privilege works in the white author’s favor. More likely to be published in the first place (with or without a diverse cast), more likely to be praised for being inclusive, as seen here, basically the things Writers of Color are accused of and struggle with happen less, if at all, to white authors.

Your editor seeing you as reaching a diversity quota is their flaw, not necessarily that of your writing. Thinking of diversity in terms of quotas is going about it wrong, in my opinion. It’s interesting that your editor does recognize that diversity sells and is seeing the dollar signs, thus “you’ll get more readers for this” but hey.

Do not write in a way that is a ploy or a bating tactic and you will be fine.

That is, don’t do any of the following:

  • Write PoC in solely to get more readers, money, pats on the back etc.
  • Under develop your Characters of Color and/or lazily rely on stereotypes
  • Consciously include “just enough PoC” to fit a mental or real diversity quota
  • Feature them at the beginning only to sideline, underplay, or kill them off later.

However, do do the following:

  • Write PoC because being inclusive is important, you want to represent the real world, give people reflections, etc
  • Fully develop your Characters of Color, be mindful of stereotypes and learn how to subvert and avoid them
  • Not concern yourself with quotas but instead just keep in mind your goals for an inclusive cast if it’s not something you do naturally (yet). No magical number required.
  • Allow Characters of Color to live to see happiness. In a world where the “Black person dies first”, it’s rule-breaking to see PoC live sometimes.

There’s always going to be people who see inclusive writing as an attempt to reach a quota, whether that’s viewed negatively or positively. There is no quota! And no need to have to defend your choices as if white people are the only ones who should exist in stories unless it’s some book about a certain group or “the struggle.” As if a cast of all white people is ever scrutinized so closely.

Forget that noise and just write.

Shiro can do magic

a masterpost of evidence

*wheels in conspiracy board* okay kids settle down, today’s lesson: Shiro is Altean and can do magic!

I’ve made several individual posts about this, so here’s a masterpost summarising all the main evidence I’ve gathered so far in support of the theory that Shiro can do magic/manipulate quintessence. The numbers in brackets are references to other posts, which are all listed at the bottom along with links to the originals. The original posts have more detail (including evidence, screencaps, discussions etc.) so if you’re not sure on any points please read through the references.

The fundamental theory goes like this:

  • Shiro has some kind of Altean ancestry and is a magical/sacred Altean with the same powers and abilities as Allura
  • When Haggar experimented on him in the Galra prison, she activated his dormant magical abilities, turning his hair white
  • Haggar gave him his prosthetic arm to both activate his magical powers and change his natural Altean quintessence to the more corrupted Galra version, which is why the arm glows pink/purple
  • We have seen Shiro do magic several times on the show, but it has not been acknowledged as such

I’ve put the main body of this under a readmore so I can update it as necessary and hopefully it will update in all the reblogged versions too. And now… to the theories! *x-files theme starts playing in the next room*

“Happy Birthday, Jen,” you whispered against his neck as he slowly stirred in the dark bedroom of your Vancouver apartment. You kissed his lips slowly as he rolled over on his back, allowing you to slid on top of him, his morning erection pressing at your bare core, already attentive and needy.

“Hmmmmm,” Jensen moaned against your lips. “A beautiful young woman on top of me. That’s an awesome birthday present to wake up to,” he yawned, wrapping his arms around your waist and holding you close to him.

“Oh it gets better, sweetheart,” you teased as you kissed down your husband’s neck, moving over his bare chest and down the grooves of his abdomen, your nails scrapping his skin lightly until you settled over his erection.

“God I love this day,” he growled as his eyes meeting yours before he let his head fall back against the pillow, the feel of your tongue sending him into a whole new world of pleasure.

Suddenly you were thrown back almost ten years, to the birthday that started this little birthday tradition.

March 1, 2008

“Hey Y/F/N!” Jensen yelled as he crossed the dark room toward you with two drinks in his hand. You had just joined the Supernatural family this season, and it had been a wild one. It was season three and there had been a writer’s strike, so there wasn’t as much time spent filming which left a little more time for play.

Like celebrating Jensen’s birthday, one of the stars of the show. You had become fast friends with him and his co-star Jared. Jensen was nine years older than you, Jared four and a half, but you were so much like them, being from the south, that you fit right in and three of you became nearly inseparable. The chemistry between the three of you had been incredible from the start.

You chuckled at him. It was his 30th birthday, and he was already well on his way to being completely and totally sloshed.

“Hey Jen,” you smiled. “Not exactly taking it easy are we?” you laughed, watching him sway a little as he handed you one of the drinks in his hand.

“It’s my birthday woman!” he replied, a little loudly. “And I’m fucking thirty,” he emphasized that last word like it was some magic rite of passage that explained everything.

“Oh thirty!” you said with an eye roll. “That some magic number Ackles?” you asked.

“As a matter of fact, it is sweetheart,” Jensen answered, taking a drink from his glass. “But you’ve got a long time before you figure that out, youngin’” he teased. “Like what, nine years?” he scoffed.

You rolled your eyes dramatically.

“Just because I’m only 21 doesn’t mean I don’t know how to have a good time, asshole,” you said with a wink. “You’re working on not getting the present that I got you,” you added with an evil smile.

You caught his attention at that, and he set his drink down, leaning in closer to you, his chin on his hand as his eye lit up brightly.

“Are you finally going to give me that kiss I’ve been begging for?” he teased with a smile.

“Jensen Ross Ackles, I’m a lady,” you said, feigning shock by placing a hand over your heart. “I would never,” you laughed.

His eyes widened playfully as he watched you carefully.

“But wouldn’t you? It is my birthday after all,” he retorted.

You laughed in earnest.

“Who gives a fuck if it’s your birthday, Ackles? My birthday was two months ago and what did I get?” you asked. “Oh yea,” you laughed, “You and Jared took me out and got me wasted and then you spent the evening holding my head up out of a toilet,” you reminded him.

He smiled and laughed as he covered his face, embarrassed.

“That’s an awesome gift, dude,” you said with an eye roll. “I would have preferred a kiss.”

He watched you carefully.

“Well, Y/N, that wasn’t exactly how I had planned that night to go. Who knew you were such a lightweight,” he teased, stepping closer to you. “Guess you learned your lesson, huh?” he said as he placed a tentative hand on your hip, pulling you closer to him.

“Yeah,” you whispered, barely loud enough for him to hear you.

“Well, then I guess your birthday present is long overdue. Even if it is my birthday. I’ll make an exception this time,” he said, his lips lowering to yours.

Your breath caught in your throat as he stopped, his lips hovering over yours.

“I mean, if you want the present,” he teased, his nose bumping yours softly.

You grabbed a fistful of his t-shirt and pulled his lips to yours. They crashed together, sparks flying the minute the two of you connected. Jensen wrapped his arms around your waist, drawing you closer to him, his tongue sliding along your bottom lip, begging entrance.

He slid in your mouth with ease, his tongue fighting yours for dominance. He won easily, and you moaned quietly into his mouth as your free hand reached around to play with the short hairs at the back of his head.

Finally the two of you pulled away, breathless, both of your chests heaving.

“That a better present?” he asked, a smiled spreading across his face, reaching his eyes and causing them to crinkle slightly.

“Hell yeah,” you whispered as you un-clutched his shirt, smoothing it out across his chest, his muscles rippling in response to your touch.

He leaned close, whispering in your ear. “So what did you get me?”

You looked him in the eye, threaded your hand with his, and led him away from the crowd, back to a private room.

“Something you’re never gonna forget,” you smiled wildly, leading him away.

“Holy shit,” he murmured, following you, watching your hips sway tantalizingly. “Best birthday, ever,” he growled once you were alone, and you pulled him close, kissing him fiercely.

“You’ll never forget turning 30, Jen,” you whispered against his lips as your fingers reached for his jeans. “I can promise you that,” you added as you slid down in front of him, your hands pushing down is pants and briefs, showing him just how much you wanted him and giving him the best birthday present a man could ask for.

I was impressed by you until I read that religious bit on your About Me page. You seemed like the perfect person, but you're just another brainwashed negro, worshipping the white man's religion. You probably date white guys too.

I was wondering how long it would take before that sweet sweet hate mail came in! And the magic number was five days!! Lol I hate to break it to you sweetheart, but the perfect person doesn’t exist. I just try to do the best I can and live a Christ like lifestyle. And yeah I love God,I will never apologize for that. I AM sorry however, that you’ve been brainwashed into thinking it’s a white mans religion. Sorry I didn’t include my dating preferences in my bio,  I figured that that was my business and not tumblrs, but rest assured, you’re not my type.

My best friend’s girl (Chapter 6)

This story is nearing it’s end, I think the next chapter might be the last one (7 often seems to be my magical number for some reason)

Thank you all for reading this fic and giving it so much love. This will not be the last story I write that involves Steve and Bucky ;)

Story: Bucky’s been in cryo for a year now, during that time you and Steve have grown closer together. You both want more but are scared to give into your feelings, until one night…

You and Steve arrive home after the party, both crippled by guilt when you find Bucky in the kitchen waiting for you.

No warnings for this chapter, this is just one big Angst fest. I’m sorry…

My best friend’s girl (chapter 6)

You hadn’t spoken a word since Steve had abruptly pushed you out of his arms after your close encounter in the elevator.

It was a gentle but firm push and it cast you both back into reality and wishing there was a way to turn back the clock.

But there was no way to take back what you did.

Steve had been giving you the silent treatment ever since. He opened the car door to let you step outside and followed you up to his apartment.

When you were close to his door you slowed down your steps.

‘Maybe I should…maybe I should just spend tonight at my place,’ you hesitated.

‘No,’ Steve insisted,’ If I know Bucky at all he will be up waiting for you.’

You knew Steve was right. And for a second the thought of Bucky waiting up to see you brought a smile to your face, but then reality hit and suddenly you were fighting tears.

‘Steve,’ your voice broke.

‘Hey, stop it, okay,’ he turned to face you and carefully took your hand in his,’ You can do this, everything will be fine.’

You nodded your head firmly. You wanted to believe him so badly, believe everything could still go back to normal and all three of you could come out of this unharmed. But how could it?

You slept with Bucky’s best friend, not once but twice now. There was no excuse for the second time.

Nothing would ever be fine again.

Juno Aspects
  • Juno in aspect to any planet can mean you will tend to attract a partner who has traits of the sign that planet rules. For instance, Juno aspecting Mars could attract you to an Aries type.
  • Juno Aspects the Sun: There will be a tendency to attract showy, dramatic, Leo types of partners. Conversely, this person could themselves become more showy and dramatic after marriage. The harmonious aspects (conjunction, sextile, and trine) can act in a similar fashion to Venus. They increase the charm and social graces to a degree. But Juno goes further. It can give one an air of innocence. We like people with Venus in conjunction the Sun because they are charming. Those with Juno in harmonious aspect to the Sun are liked because they are "cute." The stressful aspects, however, are indicators of ego conflicts with partners. Frequently, there are big problems with getting and holding on to a partner. In many cases, there is no desire to have a partner at all. Demetra George in her excellent book Asteroid Goddesses quotes Gloria Steinhem's famous answer to the question "Why didn't you ever get married?" Steinhem (who has the Sun in Aries square Juno in Capricorn) replied, "I don't mate well in captivity."
  • Juno Aspects the Moon: The attraction will be to emotional and nurturing partners, and domestic types. At least they will tend to be nurturing with the harmonious aspects conjunction, sextile and trine. The stressful aspects (square and opposition) can indicate a clash between your emotional and partnership needs. You could get a partner who is over-emotional or whines a lot. Conversely, the partner could bring out those traits in you.
  • Juno Aspects Mercury: Well, your partner won't be quiet. Forget the silent type. Anyone who marries you will have to communicate, communicate, communicate. The harmonious aspects (conjunction, sextile and trine) indicate good communication between the two of you. It could also show that your ability to communicate improves with partnership. The stressful aspects (square and opposition) can indicate communication problems with partners. One of you may try to stifle the other here because you both want to talk at once.
  • Juno Aspects Venus: The attraction will be to a charming partner with good artistic ability and taste. At least that will tend to be true for the harmonious aspects (conjunction, sextile and trine). The stressful aspects (square and opposition) could attract a lazy, slothful, and indolent partner. Partnership could also bring out these traits in you. With stressful aspects, there will tend to be a clash between your partnership needs (Juno) and your ability to express love and affection (Venus). As a result, you might find it difficult to express love to your partner (or vice-versa) and would seek to do this elsewhere. Years ago, there was a TV program called "Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman" which was a satire on soap operas. Mary's husband had affairs with all the other women in town and was impotent only with her.
  • Juno Aspects Mars: Marriage and partnership will stir you to action. In fact, you may need a partner to be active at all. The partners you attract will tend to be active, assertive, and aggressive. Conversely, having a partner may bring out these traits in you. The stressful aspects (conjunction, square, and opposition) are indicators of arguments with partners. One of you may try to dominate the other.
  • Juno Aspects Jupiter: The partner will tend to be expansive optimistic, and "jovial" (jovial comes from Jove, Jupiter). Marriage and partnerships will also have an expansive effect on you. Yes, it can make you more optimistic. Watch out that it doesn't make you fat as well. At least this will be true for the harmonious aspects (conjunction, sextile and trine). The stressful aspects (square, and opposition) can attract an over-optimistic partner who is always expecting their "lucky break" to be right around the corner. There could also be a clash over religious or philosophical differences. The over-expansiveness could also apply to extra-marital affairs. If you have a stress aspect between Juno and Jupiter, either you or your partner might think that the "to have, hold, and love" part of the marriage vow means anyone whom you fancy at the moment.
  • Juno Aspects Saturn: The partners will tend to be older (in spirit if not in actual years). With the harmonious aspects (sextile and trine) partners are likely to be solid, practical, and dependable, but, unless there are other indicators, don't expect them to be the life of the party. Conversely, partnership could bring out the solid, practical, and dependable side of you.The stressful aspects (conjunction, square, and opposition) may cause marriage to be delayed, or even denied. If you have this one, try not to get married before your first Saturn Return (which occurs around the age of twenty nine). Stressful aspects between Juno and Saturn can have a similar effect to Saturn placed in the 7th house. An early marriage (before the Saturn Return) will slowly decay until there is no affection left and the marriage collapses. Juno/Saturn stress aspects can also indicate someone who makes a bad marriage for "practical" reasons, such as security. They will also be prone to stay in a bad marriage to protest their social image, or because "a half a loaf is better than none." As if there is anything "practical" about having a bad marriage! These people have to learn to cut their losses and make a fresh start.
  • Juno Aspects Uranus: If you have this combination in your horoscope (especially the stressful aspects, the conjunction, square, or opposition) I have a question for you. Let's say you walk into a room where there are twenty people, and nineteen of them are sane and normal, but the twentieth person either escaped from an insane asylum or just got off of a UFO, guess which one you would be most likely to marry? (Hint: it's not the first nineteen). Uranus always has to be Different. When Juno aspects Uranus, the partner or the partnership has to be different. With the harmonious aspects (sextile and trine) you don't get into as much trouble. The partner will tend to be independent, or very bright, or a bit odd. The partnership itself will likely be more "open" with each partner doing their own thing and going their own way. Uranus is fanatic about having enough of its own space. The stressful aspects can lead to several marriages. Elizabeth Taylor has Juno in Cancer square Uranus in Aries (Uranus is also in a close conjunction with Venus). Years ago, Julian Armistead gave a lecture on her chart. He had several of the press clippings that quoted her at the time of her marriages. Her first marriage to Nick Hilton: "I've never known it was possible to be this much in love. This is going to last forever." Her second marriage a couple of years later to Michael Wilding: "This time, it's the real thing. This is going to last forever." Her fifth marriage to - well who can keep track? "This time I mean it. It's the real thing." Juno in Cancer always wants it to last "forever" and Uranus always makes you think it's the "real thing." If you have a Juno/Uranus stress aspect, don't rush into marriage. And forget about having a partnership that is conventional. It would bore you to tears - and divorce. Make sure that you and your partner each has enough "space." It helps if one of you travels a lot (Uranus aspects are perfect for bi-costal marriages). Absence for this combination truly makes the heart grow fonder.
  • Juno Aspects Neptune: If you have a stressful aspect (conjunction, square, or opposition) between Juno and Neptune, please, PLEASE do not marry someone because you feel sorry for them or because you want to "save" them. Remember this magic number. If you do, you will never again have the problem of getting into a marriage for the wrong reasons. Please memorize it. It's 911. Dial that and have them taken away so they can be helped by a professional. Then, get into therapy yourself to cure your masochism. On the positive side especially with the harmonious aspects (sextile and trine) the partner will tend to be sensitive, empathetic, and imaginative. Marriage and partnership can also bring out these same traits in you. In all cases, there will be an inclination to over idealize the partner, to see what we want to see about them.
  • Juno Aspects Pluto: Partners will tend to be intense and secretive. Sex can be volcanic. Pluto is the planet of extremes, death, and transformation. Either your power or that of your partner will be affected by marriage. One of you is likely to be transformed in some way. The harmonious aspects (sextile and trine) can bring out a strength you never thought you had. The stressful aspects (conjunction, square, and opposition) will bring out strength too, in the form of dictatorial attitudes and power struggles. One of you will try to dominate the other. The feelings towards the partner can easily go from "I love you" to "I hate you" to "I'm obsessed with you." Even if the two of you break up, this will be the partner you never forget (for better or worse).
  • Juno Aspects the Ascendant: Juno in conjunction with the Ascendant makes us more attractive, like Venus. But while Venus uses charm, Juno attracts by giving us an air of innocence, like that of a young baby. This trait is also present with the other harmonious aspects (sextile and trine) but not quite as strong. The opposition is not a stressful aspect here. Remember that an opposition to the Ascendant is also a conjunction to the Descendant. The conjunction to the Ascendant makes a person more marriage oriented, especially if Juno is in the 1st house. If Juno is on the 12th house side of the Ascendant, however, then there will still be an increased desire to marry, but there will be increased restrictions of some sort (see Juno in the 12th house). With the square aspect of Juno to the Mid-Heaven, there would tend to be extra stress in marriage that requires constant adjustment and re-adjustment. At least it will not be dull.
  • Juno Aspects the Mid-Heaven: Aspects to the Mid-Heaven affect one's career and "public image." Juno-ruled careers include marriage councilor and people who work in organizations that try to prevent wife-battering and child abuse. Like Venus, Juno has an attraction for all occupations that involve beauty and adornment. This also includes anything involving the arts. When it comes to career, it doesn't matter if an aspect to the Mid-Heaven is harmonious or stressful. In fact, the stressful aspects can frequently bring greater success since they generate more power. Those with harmonious aspects may take it too easy and not push hard enough.

Oh, believe me

I may never ever walk on water
I may never ever walk away
I may never get the chance to tell you
Oh, believe me

Oh my heart, I want you to be strong
I need you to be all I believe in
Oh my heart, I want you to be strong
I need you to be all I believe in

I may never wait to see tomorrow
I may never learn to seize today
I may never ever ask forgiveness
Oh, believe me

I may never ever rise above it
I may stumble as I lose my way
I may never find the words to tell you
Oh, believe me

Oh my heart, I want you to be strong
I need you to be all I believe in
Oh my heart, I want you to be strong
I need you to be all I believe in

Hey LITs! It’s been another great year for this fandom with another amazing season gone and by. And some people have been asking if i’ll be holding the same Shipathon I did last summer, and the answer is an enthusiastic yes!

Last spring, me (queerseth) and some other LITs had the idea to spread a celebration of all of our wonderful ships over three months, since three is the magic number, and it also leads up perfectly to when the show will return in the fall! Just like last year, this year’s Shipathon will be taking place over the summer and into the fall, from the start of July to the end of September.

Each week has a designated ship/relationship/group of relationships, and for each week you can do whatever you want to celebrate that relationship - gifs, videos, writing, edits, playlists, just posting about what you like about that relationship! We tried to be as inclusive as possible!

Just like last year, the ships are chosen based off of what is most prevalent in the show and in the fandom. This fandom isn’t very big, so trust me when we tell you, we know it like the back of our hand. But if you have a ship that isn’t included, remember that this is only a guideline for a general celebration of ships and you can post about whatever rare ship you want! Just remember to tag it with #librariansshipathon so that we can all see it, find it, and so that I can reblog it to this blog, which will serve as a kind of archive.

With 5 months until July still, I’m posting this now to give us all as much time as possible to prepare! Last year we had less time but it still went off wonderfully, let’s see what we can do this year, to fill the void of the hiatus!

NOTE: This isn’t just about romance! You can appreciate the dynamics between these characters in any way you want! Please respect everyone’s ships and interpetations, no hate here!

What is your fanfic top 5? (excluding ones you've written yourself)

Well, I’m both incapable of counting and choosing favorites, but here are seven I just love.  (Seven is, after all, the most magical number.)

All In A Day’s Work by Rizzle (@andgladly)  Harry is kidnapped and has to contend with a drunk and nostalgic Lucius Malfoy while he awaits rescue. Short and silly.   Draco/Harry

Burn With Me by @dulce-de-leche-go They all won but somehow, for Hermione, it wasn’t at all how it was made out like it was going to be. A slighted woman is a dangerous thing. To slight the brightest witch of the age? Possibly more so.  Voldemort/Hermione

Cauterize by: Lady Altair “Of course it’s missing something vital. That’s the point.” Dennis Creevey takes up his brother’s camera after the war.

Count the Stars That Fall by @disillusionist9 When Harry goes to the forest to die, something goes wrong. The Death Eaters capture the children fighting them at Hogwarts, tying their fates with Unbreakable Vows and dragged to the belly of the beast. - Gin N Tonic, Pansy/Antonin/Hermione, Daphne/Harry, Luna/Avery. Mind the warnings.

Hospital Stay by Cornwall Writes  ( @unknown-authoressDraco Malfoy is in the hospital. Hermione Granger is his Healer. Light fluffiness to make a bad day better.  Draco/Hermione

Pocket Change by @bonafake  The first time they decide to run away is a crisp, cool day in the middle of October, with claret and amber leaves falling down, that, when walked upon, sound like the crackle of a broken radio on a folksy static-filled channel.  Tom/Hermione AU

Room at the Top by  @carmineduvale Sometimes, death is the end. Sometimes, it’s an unfurnished flat, an enemy and a whole lot of grey areas. Tom/Hermione After Life AU

Star Splinters by @ibuzoo  Someone brushes her hand. The name on her wrist stings, itches, burns. She looks up. And suddenly she stops.  Tom/Hermione. Soulmate AU

I once red in a book that there were a few ways to gain the sight. One is to be the seventh son of a seventh son (or daughter, or child since gender doesn't really matter. it's the number that's magical). Another is to pour a faeries bathwater in your eye. My 4th grade class was obsessed with the Spiderwick Chronicles, so we set up a faerie resting place. The next day, the food was gone, and i poured the cap of water in my eye. Imagine if, little did we know, it had worked, and (1/2)
