Will The Tale Of “Agent Carter” Be A Miniseries Event If Given The Thumbs Up?
Put a bullet in the barrel of your best gal’s gun, indeed.
Okay. Sorry, but I really wanted to make a “Star Spangled Man” joke here.
So, do you guys remember Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell)? Who is possibly one of the most BAMF women in the Marvel Cinematic Universe? She had her own Marvel One-Shot on the Iron Man 3 release? The rumor is that she is the next character from the MCU to get her own TV series?
Well, we have more news on the front of the Agent Carter television series! As of right now, it appears that season one of the ye -to be greenlit show will be a thirteen episode miniseries, following a new trend started by shows like Sleepy Hollow.
Regarding this move screenwriter Stephen McFeely (who co-wrote Captain America: The First Avenger and the pilot episode of AgentCarter with partner Christopher Markus) said the following: “It would be a limited series – you would wrap up that one bad guy and that one case, and then if you like it, we’ll do it again next year.”
That actually seems rather sensible in the long run. It would help the writers focus and streamline their overall story, which were the two chief complaints amongst critics regarding Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
What we know so far about the series is that it would be set in the mid-1940′s, post WWII, with Hayley Atwell reportedly interested in returning in the role. The series would also have room for Dominic Cooper, who has played the younger version of Howard Stark in the first Captain America movie, in a recurring role.
While the show has yet to be greenlit for production, it definitely has a fighting chance. Earlier in the year, Paul Lee (the big cheese at ABC) had read the pilot script and said that it was “really good” and that it “certainly has a chance to be on the network.”
Well I have my fingers crossed. I love Peggy Carter and would love to see more of her to come. Anything to see her kick ass, take names, and show those good ol’ boys what for!
So fingers crossed that Agent Carter will get on the TV screens soon.
‘Why do I want to build this park so bad? Maybe because a pit filled with garbage isn’t the best that we can do in America. You know, in Russia they could pretend that pit was a park. Bring their kids down there,'Hey Vlad, uh, look at these rocks. Let’s pretend they’re potatoes. Nikolai, do you want to swim in the dirt?’ but not here. Okay? Cause we’re a nation of dreamers and it is my dream to build a park that I one day visit with my White House staff on my birthday. And they say, 'President Knope, this park is awesome. Now we understand why you are the first female President of the United States.’
Great ‘90s and '00s TV shows you’ve totally forgotten about: The Weekenders I present you another totally awesome Disney TV show that ended way too soon. The Weekenders
featured Bahia Bay, California BFFs, Tino, Lor, Carver, and Tish (does
the always-changing pizza place count as a character? No? Okay). This
cool cartoon made its mark on kids TV history because most of the
character’s problems occurred outside of school and on the weekend,
hence the name. Also, the characters were the absolute best. Tino was
known for being very sensitive and for his Zack Morris-like breaking of
the fourth wall. Lor was known for being a cool girl who never knew how
many brothers she had, Tish for her super big brain, and Carver for his
terrible penmanship. These kids were also pretty smart and insightful
for only being twelve years old. Unfortunately, we only got to see these
wise-beyond-their-years weekenders for four seasons. Why? No one knows,
so in the words of Tino, later days!
my best icon yet tbh ✧*:･ﾟ✧ phan + gradient + constellations.

Okay. So the Sansa scene was fucked up - no argument. And obviously Sansa has had the most traumatizing childhood/storyline out of literally anyone. But idk. I feel like people need to chill with the D&D anger and “not in the books” argument. Because although it doesn’t happen to Sansa, it happens (and more explicitly) to Sansa’s childhood best friend Jeyne Poole, the daughter of Winterfell’s former steward, who was forced to leave behind her own identity to pretend to be Arya Stark and marry Ramsay Bolton. Since Jeyne Poole’s character was eliminated from the tv show and her storyline was merged with Sansa’s (who we didn’t hear from in the books for a total of 10 years) it makes sense that that’s the path that was taken by the writers. I wouldn’t say the scene was for “shock value” because who actually thinks it’s okay to depict a rape just for shock value? If it wasn’t happening to Sansa, it would be happening to someone else. This is Ramsay we’re talking about. I hated this weeks episode so much because I just feel like Sansa is so precious and deserves so much better. But in the end, we all know that Sansa is a boss bitch and she hasn’t been broken yet and winter is obviously coming for everyone who has done her wrong - including Petyr Baelish. In due time.
[102/??] Sarah Michelle Gellar as Kathryn Merteuil in Cruel Intentions (1999)
↳ “Eat me, Sebastian! It’s okay for guys like you and Court to fuck everyone. But when I do it, I get dumped for innocent little twits like Cecile. God forbid, I exude confidence and enjoy sex. Do you think I relish the fact that I have to act like Mary Sunshine 24/7 so I can be considered a lady? I’m the Marcia fucking Brady of the Upper East Side, and sometimes I want to kill myself. So there’s your psychoanalysis, Dr. Freud. Now tell me, are you in… or are you out?“
It’s come to my attention that some people have yet to see Firefly. I feel the need to spell out precisely why this is something that needs to be fixed as soon as possible (in short, it’s the characters. Because of course it’s the characters). With pictures. Which are not mine, but gathered from all over the internets. Okay? K.
1. If you don’t ship these two, I’m pretty sure it’s just because you haven’t seen them yet. Really. Look at these heart eyes and tell me you don’t ship this. I dare you.
2. Awesome female friendships
3. The best sibling relationship other than Oliver and Thea that I’ve ever seen on television. I swear, I hope my kids grow up, they love each other like Simon and River love each other or like Oliver and Thea do.
4. Dinosaurs (or more specifically, Wash and his dinosaurs. Or just Wash. And his dry, dry beautiful sense of humor)
5. Arguably the most badass person on the show is a wife in a happy marriage and a veteran and second in command (to someone she’s not) married to and none of this is at all contradictory at all and hell yes to that
6. There’s an optimistic, colorful, young engineering genius who is a bit socially awkward but insanely loveable and if you don’t think she and Felicity would be BFFs inside of 5 minutes, I genuinely don’t understand
7. This jackass. He’s horrible. Literally, horrible. You shouldn’t like him, but god damn it he’s just so funny you can’t help it. The hat helps, too.
And… I rest my case. In summary… watching Firefly would be an excellent life choice for those of you who have not yet done so (and not a bad life choice to rewatch for those of you who have).
okay but why is noone ever talking about (T)Raumschiff Surprise?? it’s pretty much the best movie german tv can give you and the gayest Star Trek youll ever see
i’ll just let part of the wikipedia article speak for itself:
“Several characters from the original Star Trek movie are parodied.[…] Herbig once described the movie as ”a group of girl-roommates on adventure“.The names are all parodies of the original characters of Star Trek. Captain Kork is a take on Captain Kirk, kork means "cork”); Mr. Spuck is a take on Spock, spucke means “spit”; and the engineer, Schrotty is a play on Scotty, schrott means “trash/junk”. The characters act stereotypically gay.“
and to top that all there is also Darth Maul (you can guess who he is supposed to be)
is fucking gold
and if you arent convinced yet just watch this glorious scene: Space Taxi
theres nothing that beats that movie and youre missing out if you havent seen it yet
I’ve made it no secret that I love great actors. But what sets apart the great ones from the okay ones is how they bring their roles to life.
Robert Carlyle as Rumplestiltskin is one of the best portrayals I have ever seen on television. Think about this. Before Once Upon a Time, would you ever had associated “Rumplestiltskin” with anything other than “creepy little imp that makes shady deals and is disturbingly interested in kids”? I highly doubt it.
I know that Rumple/Mr. Gold’s incredible character is in no small part thanks to the writing but let’s face it - without a great powerhouse actor to bring him to life, he would not be that impressive. It takes a lot of talent and a lot of ingenuity to bring a character this complicated to life and not make the character a cliche. I remember talking to my friend Yvonne about it and she said “if Bobby wasn’t Rumple, would you like Rumple?” and I said “probably not”.
I am fully aware that Robert Carlyle has done numerous fantastic performances but, I’ve got to be perfectly honest, Rumplestiltskin from Once Upon a Time will probably be my favourite performance. Because I have never seen ANYTHING like this character before! And that is quite an achievement - usually characters that somewhat resemble Rumple’s character (an anti-hero/villain/whatever) they unfortunately don’t have much depth to them, at least from a viewing standpoint.
Robert Carlyle is hypnotic on this show. That presence was there from the Pilot. From the first scene of him in the mines as the scary, impish Rumplestiltskin to the final scene of Mr Gold “you enjoy your stay… Emma…” I was hooked (no pun intended). He is absolutely incredible.
And the fact that outside of his work, he seems to be so down to earth and likable makes me appreciate and admire him even more.
Happy Birthday, Robert Carlyle. Thank you for sharing your talent with us all <3
Fandom:We fucking love Lexa. She's the best. She our commander. Even ppl who don't watch the show admire her. Best character of the entire TV series's history. Part of the Clexa ship which is actually the most shipped couple on the show. Proud lesbian. Proud female fighting for her ppl and trying to bring the peace all around. Lexa is the boom!
JRat:oh well...I see. This will be emotional but won't have a big impact *kills Lexa*
Fandom:*after two weeks after the no sense death* okay. You killed the best female character you had, you fucking ending her precious gonplei, you used the LGBTQ community to get more ratings because of her, you got a lot of followers thanks of your lies. You, liar, just killed the spirit of the show. You killed the Clexakru with Lexa's death. What's next? Kill your best male character? Kill the second best character of the show? The man that saved everyone? That brought the little spark between Skaikru and Trikru? A healer? Octavia's family? Octavia's truly love? The best hottie on the entire show? Are you going to end with his gonplei? Will you end the second most shipped couple of the show?
JRat:oh! Are u talking about Lincoln? Do you like him? Fine. *finds a silly way to make Lincoln sacrifices himself for couple of characters and makes Octavia watch it because he ADORES to see ppl suffering*
Fandom:Let's call AMC again. There's a new character that they need to put in FTWD. Rocky Lincoln. Yeah. And let's put Maria Blak in the show as well. C'mon quickly. They will find Alicia and Elyza in the way and they four will be happy and will make babies. Beautiful babies. THEY ARE STILL ALIVE. NO MATTERS WHAT. THEY JUST MOVED TO ANOTHER SHOW. WE ARE NOT GIVING A SHIT ANYMORE WITH THE 100.
Screenwriters read screenplays - animation version
A common mistake for those new to screenwriting is to read one or two screenplays then watch a lot of movies, when in reality one of the best things you can do is read screenplays. A lot of screenplays. (Watch movies & TV too, though.)
Read good scripts and bad scripts - learn how to tell the difference. Read different genres. Examine structure and story beats. What do action scenes look like? How much/how little internal character information is given outside of the dialogue? How detailed is the location description? Reading the work of professional screenwriters will give you a good feel for what is okay and what isn’t in your own work.
So, for all aspiring and emerging screenwriters, here’s a collection of English-language animation screenplays from the last few years. Enjoy!
Preference #6: Who would they be if they were on Glee? (4/4)
Hey!! Can you please do a picture preference of whom 5sos are most like outta the boys from glee? I’m talking ALL the boys who were in the glee club including Sam, Joe, Rory, Ryder, Jake, Mason and Roderick :) if it’s too hard to narrow it down, it’s okay to pick 2 characters for each member :) xx
A/N: I chose these characters because I thought in some point of the tv show, they were similar. But I really don’t know, it was really hard!
Will Schuester: I mean, look at Will. He’s sweet, passionate about music, he is always trying to do his best. And he always wants to bring the good of others. I think Ashton, being the sweetie he is, he’s like him.
Jake Puckerman: I think both of them look like tough guys but deep down, they’re good kids that only want to have a good time.
Ryder Linn: I think they both are like really polite and well-mannered guys. Also, they both seem really nice and I don’t know, I just think they’re alike.
Roderick Meeks: I don’t know, they are both like shy, cute and cuddly. Roderick is the kind of guy who give off sympathy and also he seems to be there when his friends need him. Also, he’s not the type of guy who stand out but when you meet him, you realize he is amazing. And I think Michael is pretty much the same.
I like this show so far. Though almost everyone is in love with Noah, my favourite character is Audrey. She became one literally from the first minutes and I’m pretty sure it won’t change by the end of the show, ‘cause I don’t even know what she can do to make me hate her, if I’m absolutely okay with the thought that she may be the killer/one of the killers. Besides, Bex is the main reason why I started watching the show. In short, I dedicate this little something to you, Bex. Thanks for being my inspiration. bext-k And I also wanna thank someone else. The girl who obsessed with Audrey as much as I am. Your oneshots replaced fanfiction for me and are definitely making my days without new episodes better. lovethyimagines
