the whole sequence was just

so i wanna talk about dead or alive, the fighting game series

and i am absolutely gonna throw myself under the bus with this post and reveal my power level as the ultimate horny boy

i do this because i find the information i possess to be absolutely hilarious and 100% worth sharing

so

dead or alive 5, the fighting game, got a pc release, right

dead or alive, in case you didn’t know, is a series known primarily for its cast of extremely conventionally attractive female characters, and said character’s ridiculously hypermobile titties

so what happens when a game full of sexy ladies gets a pc release

titty mods happen

now, the creators of DOA5 know this, and basically said to PC gamers “if you nude mod this, we won’t give you Dead or Alive Xtreme 3″

Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 being a spinoff of the DOA series which foregoes all of the “fighting game” nonsense and focuses exclusively on bouncing titties and extremely small swimsuits

basically, the developers gave PC gamers a choice: eat dinner now and wait for desert later, or have your desert now and never eat again

PC gamers chose the latter option and nude modded DOA5. they nude modded the shit out of DOA5. they made nude mods for DOA5 that were so high quality you would think you were looking at real photos of human beings if it weren’t for the impossible anime faces on them

and when DOAX3 released, PC gamers asked “where’s our one?” and the devs responded “you don’t get to have any. we warned you and you didn’t listen, and now you don’t get DOAX3.”

too bad how sad, right?

wrong

in response to this, PC modders bought PS4 copies of DOAX3 and just… ripped everything out of it. hacked the game, took out all of the models, animations, and costumes, and modded them back in to DOA5

so basically, PC modders meticulously recreated DOAX3 in DOA5. everything that mattered.

and the funniest part of all of this?

DOA5 is free to play on PC

so when the developers of DOA denied DOAX3 to PC players, PC players responded by creating a completely free version of DOAX3 for themselves, with titties and everything. the DOA devs played themselves.

i just think that this whole sequence of events is fucking hilarious. the sheer gall. the determination. the way things unfolded. it’s all so goddamn funny. the ingenuity, the community collaboration, the acts of defiance, all in the name of rendering a naked anime boob in 4K. it’s so goddamn funny.

good bits from the live show:

  • their spontaneous outing to the theater to go see ‘it’ and phil taking care to tell us the theater was totally empty
  • the vacay talk!!! phil’s new hobby is watching fish :(( he was so into it that he was constantly yelling about new fish he’d seen and annoying his friends … and dan .. who is categorized as something different than just ‘friends’ obviously
  • he packed ‘ten books’ but jst read the buffy comics despite being slightly put off by the fact they turned one of the characters into a sexy centaur girl but he had the book ready just to show us the centaur girl and laughed about it so much and it was just such a funny little anecdote ahahaha
  • he got lightly tanned which he can tell bc he has a shorts tanline and he has 39402934234 new freckles and light pink shoulders
  • also he used level 5 mosquito repellent and stank the whole trip
  • much like dan he was faced w someone constantly invading his personal space on the plane and according to him he tried leaning all the way into dan to avoid getting elbowed but it still wasn’t enough :( wtf :((( cute :(
  • they filmed with louise and it’s gonna be a video testing their knowledge of babies and pregnancy which i expect will be … interesting
  • louise pranked phil by leaving a video of the entire process of childbirth playing on his laptop in fullscreen 1080p HD
  • he is offended by the price of the iphone X
  • he admits to knowing nothing about fashion and being excited for the viewers pick his clothes vid bc he might learn something and ppl might put him in interesting styles .. he seems so genuinely excited about it im soft :(
  • he is eyeing the caramelized pecan lattes at sbux and hasnt even had a pumpkin spice latte yet
  • he has anxiety related to organizing things, like his friends/family on travel, and he had to do some of that on this vacation so he thinks that’s what triggered a really vivid nightmare where he and his family were essentially abducted in a fake taxi. i have soooo many emotions about phil openly connecting his bad dreams (which he’s talked about several times) to ‘anxiety’ and his choice to openly use that word and his alluding again to the fact that one of his biggest fears is losing his family (and it being his fault) sdjflskdfsdf :( :( :( i thought it was interesting to hear that he was presumably mostly in charge of the arrangements for this holiday and i love him being forthcoming to us about anxiety in any form and the way it affects him and this whole bit was so so fascinating even though his retelling was also quite light-hearted and cute and very phil
  • in general he was so so so smiley and laughed so much and seemed so energetic and emotive esp when he was telling many of the longer stories like his feelings about ‘It,’ his feelings about the birth video, his feelings about the centaur lady in buffy, the whole sequence of the dream,,, he was just flailing about and doing funny dramatic voices and was just generally animated in a way we don’t get to see him be very often and i was loving it sooooo much. i love phil so much :( he makes me so so happy <33333
Viktor’s Facial Expressions in Episode 9 and 10

It’s been a while and I was re watching the series and though I noticed it, I don’t think I’d really examined the whole proposal sequence enough.

This is Viktor just as he spots Yuuri. It doesn’t take a genius to see how tired he looks. Honestly, this man was absolutely wrecked without seeing Yuuri. What you’d expect, though, is for his face to be similar to Makkachin, brimming with excitement? But he’s not. He looks like he’s experiencing disbelief here, like he thinks Yuuri is a mirage or something. His eyes look tired, almost like he’s just been staring at the glass for hours on end.

Again, here, he looks tired and dishevelled. He doesn’t look like he’s seeing the man he loves again for the first time in days. He looks like he doesn’t think Yuuri is real.

And here we come to ‘be my coach until I retire’.

We see Viktor smile here, but it’s not a proper smile. Just look at how heavy his eyes are. It’s an expression of disbelief, like he knows in his mind there’s no way Yuuri actually meant it like an actual proposal, but he wants to believe it anyway.

…which explains why Viktor looks like this when Yuuri is buying the rings. He’s absolutely dumbfounded. But at the same time, I almost see a bit of reluctance in this expression rather than pure shock, again like he’s not sure if this is really happening or not.

Until he looks down at Yuuri’s hand (not into Yuuri’s eyes, he’s definitely staring at the ring here). Again we see this wide-eyed expression.

To me at least, his expression here is very similar to the one given during episode 9. It’s a look of disbelief.

And this, this exact moment, is when he realises that Yuuri, in his own way, is being serious about this. It may not be as expressive as, say, the starry eyed look Viktor gives him during episode 12, but it’s still one of pure joy.

Here we even see a happy tear in the corner of his eye, made more obvious in the animation by a wobble effect.

And then there’s this, where the extent of his love for Yuuri finally dawns on him. In my personal opinion this is actually when Viktor realises he loves Yuuri in the first place but this meta is already long enough so I won’t go into it here.

I just stand in awe at how well all of these emotions are represented in this anime.

GoT S07E01 Thoughts

I don’t know if this will be a regular occurrence, but for the first episode, I’m going to be laying out my thoughts about the premiere in what will probably be a lengthy post that’s half gibberish and half maybe something substantial. Undoubtedly, not eloquent. These are just thoughts and nothing more that I’ve jotted down while watching and am now about to elaborate on.

Let’s begin with what has to be one of the most epic intros in Game of Thrones ever. No, I don’t want to hear your counter. You will not sway me on this. I don’t care, mate, because this scene was bloody awesome. The minute Filch Walder Frey’s face popped up, I knew it was Arya and I knew shit was about to go down. Now nobler humans might be like ‘Oh, Arya is going down a dark path; this is bad’ but her gathering all of the Freys in one room was poetic justice. What they did at the Red Wedding warranted retaliation and this has been a long time coming.

It was beautiful the way it happened too – a dark sadistic glee washed over you as you watch a room full of men choke on their drinks as Arya stands there telling them they should’ve killed all the Starks, and “leave one wolf alive and the sheep are never safe.”

Look, people really hated that line prior to the premiere, but in context, it was wonderful, it was justified, it was so unbelievably satisfying. Then when Arya goes, “tell them the North remembers; tell them Winter came for House Frey”, you bet I got goosebumps. Like I’ve said time and time again, ‘Winter is Coming’ is not just a warning, but it’s a battle cry for the Starks. This is their season. When the world dies, the lands become barren and the knights of Summer struggle to survive, the North prevails, and the Starks are at the helm of this changing tide. It’s their time now, and beginning it with Arya avenging the loss of her family is a truly poignant way to set the tone for the rest of the season. Yes, we’ll see Cersei and Dany duking it out, but at the end of the day, this is about the Starks.

The next thing I jotted down was ‘zombie giants’, which is just to say that: holy shit, there are zombie giants! Seeing the sheer number of White Walkers, it makes you realise how utterly inconsequential Cersei and Dany’s fight for the Iron Throne is. There won’t be a kingdom to govern when those icy bastards get past the Wall, and believe you me, they will eventually. No matter what anyone says, that Wall is coming down probably at the end of this season.

Seeing Dolorous Edd as Lord Commander gave me goosebumps as well. I adore him; I love him, and I swear to god if he dies, I will kick someone’s ass, so he’s probably going to die. But him meeting Bran and Meera made my heart race. They are so close to Winterfell and we’re so close to another Stark reunion. Also, hey Bran, I know the world is ending but cheer up, pal.

Now we get to the highly talked about scene with Jon and the Northern houses. First of all, I felt so euphoric when Jon told the North that they would need every man and woman, boy and girl fighting in this battle. Even more so when Lyanna spoke up and basically told the men in the room to shut up about it. Her “I don’t need your permission to defend the North!” speech was seriously my top five favourite moments of the episode. The look of pride on Brienne’s face as well. I wonder, however, if this means Sansa might learn how to fight? I don’t see it. She’s a diplomat, a politician, but she should know some self-defence. Jon should teach her. Late at night. Alone. Some flirty teaching…. I’m getting sidetracked.

Speaking of Jon and Sansa though, can I just say to that redditor who apparently saw the first episode: ‘Hey buddy, you were wrong! And if you interpreted that scene as Jon putting Sansa in her place then you really are a sexist creep.’ Because while yes, Sansa does argue with Jon in public and Jon does tell her his word is final, he in no way puts her in her place. And there is no moment where the other Houses laugh at her. In fact, going by the murmurs of agreement, quite a large amount of lords and ladies wanted Jon to give Umber and Karstark lands to the houses who didn’t fight for Ramsay.

I also want to clarify something here before anti’s get all up in arms about this scene (not that I think any of them follow me or stalk my blog but if you do: hi, how are ya?). While I do agree with Jon’s decision, in the end, I also understand Sansa’s opinion on the matter. If I had gone through what she had under the ministrations of Ramsay and knew that these Houses who have sworn up and down in the past to fight for the Starks sided with him, I’d be furious. There wouldn’t be a damn thing anyone could say to me to get me to forgive their indifference and compliance in the trauma I went through. Sansa has every right to want to strip the Umbers and Karstarks of their land. I can even understand being angry with Jon for not understanding this, but here’s the thing, she wasn’t.

Immediately after this extremely public argument, it cuts to a scene of Jon and Sansa talking about it. They didn’t fight, let the emotions fester and build up resentment. No, Jon and Sansa talked it out. He told her not to undermine him in public and she told him a king needed to be questioned lest he ends up like Joffrey. Then when he asks her if she thinks he’s like Joffrey, her eyes lose that fight and there’s fondness in it, as she tells him firmly that he is the furthest man from Joffrey she had ever known. Although they’re arguing and disagreeing on important political decisions, there’s fondness and trust and respect in the way they talk to each other.

What I find interesting is that after Jon and Sansa’s scene, they cut straight away to Jaime and Cersei. Two pair of (sort of) siblings and yet two vastly different relationships. The placement of these two scenes is no coincidence. The two relationships act as literary foils for one another. Both are fighting and arguing, but in contrast, Jaime and Cersei are clearly on very different paths from one another. There’s wariness, disbelief, and disappointment in the way Jaime looks at Cersei; and she is so consumed with her grief, anger, power, she can’t see that he is questioning her very right to be on the throne. They are shot as two opposing figures circling each other with lots of space in between them. On the other hand, Jon and Sansa were shot close together, always within inches from another, with dimmer lighting, and more physicality (ie. Sansa touching his arm to assure him and let him know she may argue but she is on his side).

Don’t dismiss the sequence of these scenes. Nothing in this show is a coincidence.

Moving on, I love Sam and I am so excited to see him again, but dear lord, that was the most disgusting series of shots ever. I felt physically ill. Please never again. But I wonder if he discovers the dragon glass at Dragonstone this early in the season, what else will he uncover in the Citadel? There’s definitely more in store for Sam’s storyline and I wonder if it might be something to do with R+L=J. People have theorised about Sam confirming it somehow. We’ll see, I guess.

Nothing really of substance to say about the Brienne, Podrick and Tormund scene, but it made me laugh out loud. Tormund is the physical embodiment of the heart eyes emoji. And his “you’re a lucky man” to Podrick when he gets knocked down by Brienne was such great comedic timing and brilliantly hilarious.

I wish I could play this next scene on a loop. Sansa telling Littlefinger off has to be the greatest ‘screw you’ to all the people clambering for StarkBowl just because they don’t like Sansa. I love when she says to him, and I’m paraphrasing here, “you don’t have to get the last word. I’m sure it’s probably something clever” and just dismisses him like he’s nothing, which he is. It was so queenly, so regal and so cutting. It was exactly like Sansa. She may not have a sword, but her tongue is sharp enough to wound.

The biggest surprise of the episode was seeing bloody Ed Sheeran. When we heard the singing, I said that whoever that was had a great voice, and low and behold, it’s bloody Ed. I knew there was a huge musical guest star but this totally surprised me. I love this scene though. Arya’s always been on a very rigid path for vengeance. Those who serve the Lannisters are in the wrong and there’s no grey area about it, but you can see her sitting there listening to these men caught in someone else’s war longing to be home with their fathers, wives, daughters, etc. and realise that they are victims of this war just like everyone else. I wonder how that’ll change (if it does at all) Arya’s journey towards vengeance because truth be told, I am worried about her this season. Next on her list is Cersei, but we all know Cersei will either die by the hand of Jaime or by Tyrion (probably Jaime), so where will that leave Arya? Will she give up her quest and head home to Winterfell? Or will she die trying?

You know what? I do like the Hound. I like his redemption arc. And although I don’t believe it makes up for all the bad shit he did prior to it, I am intrigued to see where he goes from here. Also, this line is hilarious: “it’s my luck I’d end up with a band of fire lovers.”

Now, what I’m about to say people might nitpick with me being an anti-Dany person, but honestly, I’m not. I just thought the whole Dragonstone sequence was incredibly boring. It was exciting the first thirty seconds, but it dragged on for so long. Then when she stands at the table and says, “shall we begin?” it was just so anticlimactic. It was the dullest part of the episode and I’m hoping it gets more interesting for her soon. Actually, no doubt it will be considering this is her make or break moment, but let’s be honest, that sequence was way too long.

Anyway, I’m done. Those are my thoughts. Let me know what you guys think!

what she says: I’m fine

what she means: there’s a whole little sequence in spooky mormon hell dream where it’s just Elder McKinley dancing and twirling around, he gets his own little intro with a feather boa bridge, Price dosent even notice him there but it happens, center stage during a song all about Elder Price directly and Elder McKinleys the one who dances around in what essentially is just Price’s mind, and by the time he turns around McKinleys already gone and taken the boa too, they could have just kept Price in center stage when he’s begging for forgiveness but instead they decided to give McKinley a little spotlight in Price’s little ‘I have sinned’ song

How was the Series of Unfortunate Events movie literally the best thing ever and the worst thing ever at the same time

Like how could they nail the casting, atmosphere, music, narration and basically everything aesthetic so perfectly while completely disregarding the actual story that they were adapting beyond the point where it can even be enjoyable

like in the im3 novelization – and they even actually shot a lot of this too, though the dialog was a bit different – there’s this whole rose hill sequence where tony just had that panic attack after seeing the wall with the shadows, and then harley’s bully, EJ, shows up and is being annoying. harley sees this as an opportunity to stand up to him with the support of Tony Stark, the Iron Man, but when he turns around to ask tony for back up,

“Beaming, Harley turned to Tony, but instead of seeing the hero who was Iron Man, Harley saw a fragile man was now down on the ground, breathing hard, and in the grip of a panic attack.”

and tony can’t help him. and when EJ leaves, harley is frustrated. he tells tony he’s supposed to be iron man! but he didn’t do anything! why is he so weird? and tony apologizes. says he doesn’t know what’s going on with him

later on he does the single most tony stark thing which is to save EJ’s life by using his literal heart (the arc reactor) as an improvised defibrillator

the most Tony Stark sequence in this entire movie and they deleted it like why do this to me

After watching “Twin Suns”

Obi-wan is the strongest character in the whole Star Wars universe. No one will ever change my mind about this. Never ever.

Oh yeah, ANOTHER piece from the Voltron comics that nobody seems to talk about? This part:

Let’s just take a second to think about what this means:

  • Lance seemingly cannot use the Blue Lion’s ice ray while in Voltron formation, because Shiro specifically orders him to “split off” before he can ice the shield as an extra defense. Presumably this means Keith can’t use the Red Lion’s heat ray either.
  • We don’t know if this extends to each Lion’s upgraded ability (ex. Pidge and the Green Lion’s plant gun). But I’m gonna guess ‘no.’
  • Apparently Voltron can detach…one part of itself? Back into a Lion, to use whatever ability that Lion has, ON the rest of Voltron? We know it works, because Shiro gives the order and in the next panel the shield is iced over for extra protection
  • But also, one piece of Voltron can re-attach itself separately? Because on the next page, Voltron is whole again, including having a Blue Lion leg.

The implications of this are pretty big. Up until now it seemed like if you broke off one limb, Voltron would just fall apart completely. We’ve seen it fall apart before–but in retrospect, that’s always under a full-scale attack that affects ALL of Voltron.

But this actually implies Voltron could detach limbs and use them to power up or support itself, at the sacrifice of one of those limbs (however temporary). Presumably you’d lose whatever upgrades came with it too (so detaching the Red Lion would probably also lose you the Blazing Sword, since Keith needs to activate it). So you’d have to be careful when and how you used this. Detaching either leg means less maneuverability, and giving up either arm means sacrificing either your sword or your shield. It would be a more advanced technique that requires the rest of the team to compensate for the loss of a limb.

But, in the right circumstances, this could also be a very useful technique. Lance and Keith’s Lions have Ice and Fire powers respectively that could be very useful in certain scenarios. Or imaging forming Voltron, but breaking off Pidge and the Green Lion to plant-gun an enemy to trip them up, or temporarily bind severe damage Voltron takes. Or, if the Voltron shield has been broken or flung away (which…seems to happen a lot), detaching the Yellow Lion to act as an orbiting shield while the rest of it fights. Or sending any of the Lions out to retrieve an item while the rest of Voltron distracts. Etc, etc.

This could even extend to the Black Lion to some regard. We already know its wings come off to create a shield. We also know its wings seem to be the source of its upgrade ability. There’s probably some wiggle room there, too.

This also means if an enemy uses an attack that just severs one Lion form Voltron, they might not be totally screwed. Assuming somebody gets knocked off but the Lion is still operational and the pilot is still conscious, presumably they could just stick themselves back on. Without a whole Form Voltron sequence, even.

I just find the implications of this fascinating. Voltron might be even more versatile than we first realized.

(Reblogs much appreciated)
I was asked if I could find a way to select the entire “64 days in heaven and hell” thread from my blog and re-post it in a way that it would be easy to read.

Well, now that its final item was posted, you can find the whole story, in a top down sequence, just by opening this link:

In the same way, a few other stories have also been re-posted as additional pages to my blog. You can discover those via these hyperlinks:

Second time out/back from seeing Beauty and the Beast **SPOILERS ABOUND**

(aka bear with me b/c this review is a week and a half late and I can actually comment on stuff I loved throughout it. It might end up being long af so I’m sorry in advance bc I talk about when everyone got cast too. This is probably filled with typos.)

PPS: I am the minority who loved it deeply, and don’t have nothing to complain about. Except a few words on the group of people who sat beside me tonight and would not shut up during Evermore and the transformation scene aka MY MOST FAVOURITE DISNEY KISS EVER)

So lets get down to it. I LOVED this movie the first time I saw it. As I have stated numerous times through tags. Ill be real here I was skeptical as hell about this being turned into a LA remake. But as the casting was announced my worries went away completely?

BECAUSE JESUS CHRIST WHAT A FABULOUS CAST! I don’t even know who to start with honestly? All of them ARE JUST SO GOOD???

We’ll just start with the most obvious choice (and the one who had the most flack after being cast)

And that is the absolute wonder and light of my life DAN FUCKING STEVENS

BECAUSE THIS GUY. OMG. ANYTHING HE DID IN THIS MOVIE JUST…BLEW. ME. THE. FUCK. AWAY??? And I’m just so grateful and forever indebted to him for bringing quite possibly the best reinterpretation of the Beast/Adam to life. Like honestly the Beast is my favourite character ever he has been since I was 5 and I just…NO AMOUNT OF WORDS COULD DESCRIBE IT. (actually I have TONS of words and i’ll get more into this later) but I’m moving on for now.

Emma Thompson I love Emma T so much I have since forever and she’s so charming and soft hearted as Mrs Potts. Say what you will about the accents used in this movie I loved that she was English….

And Luke Evans I knew about him prior to this and vaguely, through watching him in The Hobbit and that god awful movie version of the Three Musketeers (same can be said for Dan, b/c before I watched some of his other stuff I had only know him from Night at the Museum 3)

Anyway…

Luke brought such a great energy to this character and I loved how Gaston started out as an okay dude but slowly dissented into his villainy? The way he portrayed this was astounding b/c as soon as the script called for the change up he handled it with such ease? And wow I just love Gaston so much in this movie.

Josh Gad we gotta talk about FUCKING JOSH GAD I’m not getting into the knitty gritty of things since its not my place to comment on such but I LOVED HIM IN THIS ROLE SO MUCH MORE THAN I LOVED HIM IN FROZEN? He’s so hilarious.  AND HIS LINES WERE A+++

He just brought so much classiness to LeFou and he just made him so likable?  and the fact that HE FOUGHT TO KEEP IN THE SNOWMAN GAG FROM THE ORIGINAL VERSION. I honestly hope they give me all the deleted scenes from this movie.

FUCKING EWAN MCGREGOR AND SIR IAN MCKELLEN AS COGSWORTH AND LUMIERE I just WOW WHAT A GREAT ACTING COMBO (aka all ive ever wanted from the remains of my dull life.)

AND AUDRA MCDONALD AS GARDEROBE AND STANLEY ‘ACTUAL KING OF EVERYTHING HE IS IN’ TUCCI as a sassy piano THAT WAS LITERALLY CREATED FROM SCRATCH FOR HIM? (more on these two later as well because omg they are everything to me and stole my heart??)

AND KEVIN  FUCKING  KLINE omg I loved him so much in this movie just PERFECT honestly.

I’m trying to keep this short so I can move on to my next bunch of thoughts. And not just yap about the casting. (Bullet points listed below, bc I’m getting into the changes) And to begin:

THE SCENARY AND CGI IN THIS MOVIE WERE FUCKING ASTOUNDING? I DIED? IT WAS BEAUTIFUL, say what you want about what the beast looked like. Dan Stevens exhausted himself entirely for 2-3 months just to make the beast into a computer animated caricature. AND I LOVED THE ANIMATION ON THE CASTLE STAFF? I also really loved the backstories for everyone it just filled in so much that I found lacking in the original. Just everything that filled in all the plotholes were A++

  • THE PROLOGUE and it being narrated by the ENCHANTRESS.(Side note: I loved the technicalities and consequences with this new curse)
  • DAN STEVENS GRACING ME WITH HIS FAB TALENT AND NOT SAYING A THING DURING SAID PROLOGUE AND JUST LAUGHING EVILLY AND YET FLAWLESSLY GETTING THE POINT ACROSS THAT THE PRINCE BEFORE MEETING BELLE WAS AN ABSOLUTE PANSY ASS DICK? Also him in the black get up with the black swan make up?? a lookTM
  • THE CLOSE UPS OF GARDEROBE AND CADENZA AND THEIR LITTLE DOGGO FRU FRU BEFORE THE CASTLE IS CHANGED INTO OBJECTS?? THE FACT THAT FRU FRU IS THEIR DOG?
  •  THAT WHOLE OPENING SEQUENCE IS INTENSE AS HELL
  • Omg when Gaston stepped on Belle’s cabbages THERE WERE LIKE 3-4 KIDS THAT GASPED. It made me smile omg.
  • When Maurice and Phillipe were heading out of town and in the woods heading to the castle. One child was like “aww look at the horsey” I mean…
  • WHEN MAURICE IS IN THE CASTLE AND MEETS CHIP everyone laughed like honestly I was blessed with actually being a a cinema room full of people that laughed and reacted to stuff b/c last week when I went there were crickets, some child mad an off hand comment later on in the movie when Beast invites Belle to dinner and he does the smileTM I kid you not I heard “look his tiny teeth” I love his tiny fangs so much hes just so awkwardly endearing altogether.
  • OKAY OKAY OKAY SO WHEN BELLE HEADS UP TO THE CASTLE TO FIND HER DADDO AND SHES AT THE CELL IM PRETTY SURE THEY PLAY THE SCORE TO EVERMORE? its like lowkey but I NOTICED IT AND IT WAS GLORIOUS.
  • all the songs in this movie and the additional lyrics woven into the film added 30 years to my life.
  • THE WHOLE “GASTON” NUMBER WAS FABULOUS AND EVERYTHING AND MORE ITS BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL VERSION THAT WHOLE MOMENT WHEN THEY BREAK TO CLAP AND STOP ON THE TABLE AND THE FACT THAT THE SCORE FOR THAT BIT SOUNDS LIKE A CAVALRY CHARGE AND THE WHOLE “SAY IT AGAIN” BIT AFTER THE “I USE ANTLERS IN ALL OF MY DECORATING” LINE.
  • BUT LIKE THERE IS MORE BECAUSE OMG THEY GAVE COGSWORTH STUFF TO SING DURING “BE OUR GUEST” INSTEAD OF JUST “SOMETHING THERE”. LIKE THE ONLY OTHER TIME HE SINGS IS IN THE ORIGINAL DURING “HUMAN AGAIN” I love the flawless smooth transition from SIR IAN MCKELLEN belting out the COURSE BY COURSE bit of that verse and Ewan being like ONE BY ONE immediately after? honestly I always fist bump during that moment when I listen to the soundtrack. AND THE WHOLE NUMBER IN THE MOVIE IS JUST SOO GREAT. I love my crotchety old clock and dramatically extra candlestick. the best BROTP.
  • Ok, so the people I sat beside started laughing during little Adam’s part in Days In the Sun and omg I was off hand annoyed because it ruined my chance to start the water works even though I still cried.
  • BEAST TRASHING ON ROMEO AND JULIET WILL FOREVER BE ICONIC to me I LOVE WELL READ BEAST SO MUCH I’m tired of the ‘but I wish he would have stayed illiterate’ statements.
  •  EVERYONE. AND WHEN I SAY EVERYONE I MEAN EVERYONE ERRUPTED INTO LAUGHTER WHEN BEAST HAULED THAT BIG ASS SNOWBALL AT BELLE’S HEAD.
  • ALSO any time Beast gave Belle his little smiles??? they were so pure and cute
  • So seeing this movie a second time the yellow dress discourse is quiet frankly ?? to me I loved it AND I LOVE THE FACT THAT DAN STEVENS MADE THE BEAST UTTERLY DISTRESSED OVER ASKING HER FOR A DANCE IN THE BALLROOM? (THAT WHOLE SEQUENCE IS SO FUCKING GORGEOUS)
  • LIKE…I JUST LOVE HOW MUCH LIFE AND PERSONALITY AND 3 DIMENSIONALISM HE GAVE HIM B/C I WILL BE TALKING ABOUT THIS PORTRAYAL UNTIL IM DEAD AND IN THE GROUND.
  • Which brings me to the make up scene everyone laughed and I almost could not stop laughing at the scene change.
  • Emma Thompson’s version of Beauty and the Beast is so wonderful. I love it.
  • THE FIRST TIME I HEARD EVERMORE IN THE MOVIE I WAS STUNNED INTO SILENCE AND JUST DAN STEVENS AGAIN GRACING ME WITH SUCH RAW EMOTION AND TALENT. SIGH I JUST LOVE THAT WHOLE SEQUENCE, I WOULD HAVE LOVED IT EVEN MORE HAD I BEEN REALLY INTO THE SECOND TIME SEEING IT BUT ALAS THE PERSON BESIDE ME WAS LAUGHING AND I WAS JUST LIKE… RUDE. HONESTLY THOUGH THE PAIR OF PIPES DAN STEVENS HAS HE HAS SUCH A BEAUTFUL RANGE AND WHEN HE SINGS ANGELS DESCEND FROM HEAVEN, AND JUST THIS WHOLE FUCKING SONG GAVE ME THE LAARGEST EARGASM THE FIRST TIME I HEARD IT. LIKE HONESTLY GOD BLESS ALAN MUSICAL GENIEUS KING MENKEN
  • Honestly everyone is at war against whether Josh or Dan’s version is better and I just prefer Dan’s version so much. I found Josh Groban’s version too slow even though he sings like an angel too.
  • tt.tt  THE MOB SONG and the castle staff going up in arms was always my fave in the 90s version. And it did not disappoint.

Bullet points are done I am heading into paragraph summarizing my thoughts on the last 30-40 minutes. BECAUSE THIS SHIT WAS UNREAL, and HARROWINGLY DARK. AND I LOVED THESE CHANGES FROM THE ORIGINAL.

THE WHOLE CASTLE TURRET CHASE SCENE WAS SO FUCKING GOOD I HAD MULTIPLE HEAR TATTACKSTHE FACT THEY SWITCHED UP THE HUNTING KNIFE AND REPLACED IT WITH A PISTOL that moment when the Beast gets shot oh god.

Like when Belle comes back and sees the Beast and he literally SHOUTS OUT HER NAME I am crying?? and deceased?? and then he gets shot 2 more times honestly this was equally amazing and heartbreakingly brutal.

And let me tell the whole concept of the castle actually breaking apart as the petals fall, that is just such a neat spin and I love it.

So like I said I found the twist with the curse fascinating because in the original the only thing it focused largely on was the Beast, Mrs Potts, Plumette, Lumiere , Cogsworth and FruFru. I LOVE THAT THE MOVIE CEMENTED AND ROUNDED ALL OF THE CASTLE STAFF AND GAVE THEM A LARGER SPOLIGHT THAN IN THE ORIGINAL LIKE THE CASTLE STAFF MAKES UP HALF OF THE CAST/CHARACTERS FOR THIS MOVIE. For the past week and a half people have said why was the inanimate scene so long and drawn out? Because the castle staff are the greatest and the only family the Beast has besides Belle that’s why… the end. Also I ship the hell out of Cadenza & Garderobe, Plumette and Lumiere AND MR AND MRS POTTS OMG.

THE WHOLE INANIMATION SEQUENCE HAD MY ENTIRE SOUL IN SHREADS, IVE ??? NEVER?? CRIED??? SO MUCH IN MY LIFE??? LIKE LUMIERE HOLDING PLUMETTE IN HIS ARMS AND SETTING HER DOWN GENTLY AND MRS POTTS NOT BEING ABLE TO GET TO CHIP AND CHIP ALMOST FUCKING BREAKING BUT THE COATHANGER CATCHING HIM THE LAST SECOND AS HIS SAUCER BREAKS?  CADENZA AND GADEROBE REUNITING AND HER TELLING HIM THAT HE IS BRAVE JUST BEFORE SHE FADES AWAY AND HIM BEGGING HER NOT TO LEAVE HIM?? I MEAN THAT IS THE TEXTBOOK DEFINIITION OF PURE AND UTTER DEVOTION RIGHT THERE FRIENDS.THE SADDEST THING ABOUT THEIR INANIMATION SCENE IS THE FACT THAT THEIR DOGGO FRU FRU BECOMES INANIMATE BETWEEN THEM. COGSWORTH AND LUMIERE SAYING GOODBYE. NEED I SAY MORE.

BUT THEN THE TRANSFORMATION SCENE HAPPENED AND I COULD NOT BREATHE I LOVEED HOW THEY FILMED THIS SCENE AND HOW EMMA AND DAN PLAYED THIS SCENE. NEVER IN MY LIFE WILL I LOVE ANYTHING AS MUCH AS I LOVE THIS SCENE.

Everyone is like “well why didn’t they say anything?”

I LOVED that HE DID NOT NEED TO SAY ‘BELLE, ITS ME?”

this iconic masterly filmed sequence only needed to be filmed with sheer BODY LANGUAGE, VISUAL EXPRESSIONS AND EMOTIONS COMING FROM BOTH DAN AND EMMA AND I JUST AM ASTOUNDED? EVERYTHING THEY FELT COULD BE SEEN BY THE AUDIENCE I FELT THAT SHIT DEEP IN MY SOUL AND IVE ANALYZED EVERYTHING LEADING UP TO THE KISS. FROM THEIR LOOKS OF DAZED WONDERMENT AFTER BEAST TURNS BACK INTO A HUMAN, AND HIS LITTLE HUFF OF RELIEF AFTER HE INTIALLY TURNS AROUND AND FACES EMMA, TO DAN’S HEAVY BREATHING, BELLE PLAYING WITH HIS HAIR AND HIM THREADING HIS FINGERS THROUGH HERS IN TURN? THE FACE TOUCH AS SHE IS LOOKING FOR ANY SIGN THAT THIS IS INFACT THAT GUY SHE LOVES?? (HONEST TO GOD THAT SHOT OF DAN HE IS ALREADY A BEAUTFUL GUY BUT HOLY HELL HE LOOKED SO GOOD IN THIS SCENE) THE CLOSE UP SHOT OF HIS EYES. HER RELIEVED LAUGH AND THE IMMENSE GENTLE CAUTION BETWEEN THEM JUST BEFORE THEY KISS AND THAT GIANT ASS INHALE DAN TAKES AS SOON AS THEY MAKE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONING THE FACT THAT ONCE THEY DO KISS HER HAND MOVES FROM HIS CHEST TO HIS WAIST.

THIS WHOLE SCENE IS LITERALLY THE LIVING EMBODIMENT OF THE PATRICK STEWART ACTING GIF

I LOVE THIS KISS SO MUCH HONESTLY ITS MY FAVOURITE DISNEY KISS.

The best was when they all became human again and reunited and were left with parting gifts from the curse. I laughed out loud when they showed Stanley Tucci with no teeth.

UGH AND THE LAST SCENE WITH CADENZA BEING SO FUCKING HAPPY AND SMILING AS THE WIFEY IS SINGING again.

EMMA AND AUDRA singing the final number omg the whole coronation dance scene was everything.

AND JUST THIS WHOLE MOVIE IS FABULOUS AND I NEEDED THE DVD TO BE RELEASED YESTERDAY.
