Imagine dating your brother’s best friend

Characters: Reader, Single! Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, mentions of family

Pairings: Reader x Jensen

Warnings: All Fluff and SMUT

Word Count: 3,100

Summary: Jared Padalecki is your big brother. When you are graduating high school, Jared lands a job acting for a new show called supernatural. By the middle of your freshman year of college, Jared drags you along to an award show he must attend. He really wants you to meet this guy that he has been working with, Jensen. The two of you hit it off and the rest is history.

Things to know: I have been working on this story for weeks. I hope you guys like it. Not sure it’s my best work.

The large oak doors stared at you ominously. You couldn’t believe this was finally happening. Jensen Ackles was on the other side of that door. That was all you needed to know to walk through it.

You had met Jensen Ackles almost ten years ago. You remembered it like it was yesterday. Your brother Jared had landed a role on a new show called Supernatural. The show was a big hit, and he was having the time of his life. It was a nice change of pace for him after his stint on Gilmore Girls.

In January of 2006, Jared had to attend an award show. He begged you to accompany him, partially because he wanted you to meet his new best friend. This guy that he worked with that was quickly becoming like a brother to him. You were 19, in college, and excited at the idea of getting to go to an award show. You happily accepted Jared’s invitation and joined him at the Critic’s Choice Awards.

From the moment you laid eyes on Jensen, you could tell something was different about him. The way he smiled at you, his green eyes sparkling, when he first met you made your heart jump up to your throat. Sure, he was almost nine years older than you, but that didn’t stop you from developing a crush on him right then. The three of you spent the evening laughing and joking together. You got a taste of Hollywood life, though you were thankful that Jared was the one in the acting business. You would stick to your music, it was what you really loved. Jensen had been sure to make you feel included the entire night. You had even caught him staring at you a couple times throughout the event.

At the end of the night, he invited you to the set to watch he and Jared film an upcoming episode. You had made sure that J was comfortable with you being on set. “Jared, you sure you want me there?” you had asked skeptically when Jensen invited to the set the week following the awards ceremony.

“Of course, Y/N! I would love to have you there. You can see just how much hard work your big brother puts in,”  he had smiled and draped his arm lazily over your shoulder.

Jensen smiled widely. “Perfect. I can’t wait for you to see what a complete doofus your brother is on set,” he said with a laugh.

You smiled. “I’ve lived with him for 19 years. Trust me, I bet you haven’t seen anything yet.” The two of you looked at Jared and he rolled his eyes at you. This sent you both into a fit of laughter, and so the night went on like that. It had been a night that changed your life forever. If you had only known the wonderful things that would come from that night.

A/N: This was written for Jen’s Disney Challenge AKA @deanjensengirlmaggie. The movie I chose was Sleeping Beauty. This didn’t really turn out how I originally planned but I think it turned out OK, not great but fine I guess. As always feedback is welcomed and if you want to be added to my tag list let me know. BTW Happy Birthday Jen. Oh, and just ignore the crappy little intro to smut at the end. It’s awful I know. That was my first attempt at something sexual so please be gentle. Enjoy! Also please ignore any mistakes I did my own editing and did a crappy job as im tired as hell

Summary: When you and the guys go after a witch in Anaheim with a Disney fetish you get caught in the crossfire. With you under a sleeping curse and the guys having only 72 hours to track down and kill the witch for the cure to work, will they be able to make it in time to save you? warnings ; condescending moms; airport stress ─ i think that’s it

note ; you guys don’t k n o w how long i’ve been working on this !  i am more than happy to get it done, and i hope it’s alright!

You swung your hips as you bustled around the small kitchen in the apartment you shared with your boyfriend, Benny. Music was playing from your phone and echoing throughout the space, giving your apartment a happy feeling. Benny had been at work, which was why he wasn’t dancing with you, or singing (beautifully) to the music while sitting on the counter.

But then the sound cut off and the ringing of your phone erupted from your speakers. Groaning, you walked over to it and pressed the accept button, pulling it up to your ear, “Hello?”

“Hey, sweetie!”

Of course it was your mother. You loved the woman, but the only reason she ever called was either to tell you that you should come back home, and that you could do better than Benny, or to tell you that there was some type of party happening at home and your attendance was quite mandatory. And if she called you sweetie, you knew she was going to say something about Benny ─ you weren’t positive what she had against him, but it was more than painfully apparent.

For the purpose of this fic, Jensen is divorced from Danneel (but the reader doesn’t know that, yet). No hate towards her, she’s an amazing woman with a wonderful family. <3 :) I appreciate any and all feedback on all of my fics and imagines! With love, Kat.

Chapter 1 - Where I Belong

Warnings: language, drinking

Words: 4.5k-ish (this chapter got loong haha oh well)

Y/N” Eric said, turning around “we need to talk about your job status.”

Shit. Here it comes. You were going to get fired.

Thoughts were running through your head at a mile a minute. The time between when you nodded at your boss and when he finally spoke felt like hours. Your world was beginning to spin and there was a lump forming in your throat, the dryness in your mouth was akin to the Sahara desert. You could feel the tears collecting in your eyes, ready to fall at any second. You blinked a few times, the tears mixing with your mascara and eyeliner and stinging your eyes. You looked past Eric to see Jensen looking at you. His face read sadness and sympathy all over it. He knew what was coming too. You had only been on set for a day and you already felt such a connection with these people, leaving was going to kill you.

“Y/N” Eric said, snapping you from your spiral into an anxiety attack.

“Y-yes?” you squeaked out, saying as little as possible so your voice didn’t reveal your heartache.

“Well, suffice to say you’re no longer my PA.” How could be be so candid about this? You got fired after about eight hours of work. He probably had to do this sort of thing a lot, you thought. You almost let the tears start rolling down your face, but as you turned to walk away Eric grabbed your arm.

“Hold on, you’re not done here. You’re no longer my PA, but seeing as the other writers and producers loved the idea and the director was simply over the moon for the new direction, you’re being promoted.”

“I-I’m what?” you stuttered out in disbelief. This had to be a dream or a sick joke, your head was still spinning. You’d worked as a PA on most of the movies and shows you had the opportunity to work with. You had only gotten an assistant to the producer position on one movie where you’d worked as the director’s PA for over three years. That was short-lived because as the movie ended, so did your job. You never had any luck in this life and that surely wasn’t going to change now… Right?

“You heard me. We’re promoting you. Seeing as you were an assistant to the producer on a pretty large movie recently, we’ve decided that since the associate producer position has just opened up with Kristin leaving in a week or so, that you’ll take her position. You have a clear eye for direction and the feeling of a scene, as well as how to really tug on the fans’ heart strings. That is a talent that is usually natural, not taught. You have a gift, Y/N. Not to mention that you had the balls to tell your already annoyed boss a direction that completely changed the dynamic of a pivotal scene.”

“Holy fucking shit, no way!” you yelled, pulling Eric into a hug, “Fuck, sorry Eric. Also sorry for all my cussing, I’ve been told I curse like a sailor but it just kinda comes out. I can’t really help it, it’s just how I express my emotions” you rambled, toying with the hem of Jensen’s shirt that you were wearing.

“It’s no problem, Y/N. And neither is the cussing. You should hear Mark or Misha talk, they’d put you to shame” he chuckled, patting you on the shoulder. The tears built up in your eyes began flowing now, but not out of anguish. No, now the tears were out of pure, unadulterated joy.

“How about you take a break for an hour or so while we set up the next few scenes and then you can shadow the other associate producer for the rest of the day?” Eric said, smiling at you.

“Sounds good, Eric! Thank you so much, seriously. I know this wouldn’t have happened if not for you” you beamed at him, turning to walk away to go tell any of the boys that had seemed to already take a liking to you about your new position.

“Oh, and Y/N?”

“Yeah?” you turned around on your heel to face him.

“Is that Jensen’s shirt?” he smirked.

“Yeah” you blushed “he lent it to me when I spilled coffee all over the both of us this morning” you laughed. Eric let out an ‘ahhh’ in realization and laughed. You turned back to where you were going and couldn’t really decide who to go tell, so you happily half-jogged your way to Jensen’s trailer.

“Jens??” you knocked loud enough so he would hear you, but not too loud in case he was napping or something. You heard some shuffling and then the soft click of the door being unlatched.

“Hey, Y/N. Come on in. You alright?” he asked, his eyebrows knitted together and his face full of concern. He gestured for you to walk in. You walked up the few steep steps into the trailer and saw Misha and Jared sitting on the large, grey couch in Jensen’s trailer.

“Hey guys!” you cheered, giving Misha a quick hug before moving back to lean against the counter across from the couch.

“You seem cheery, Y/N” Jared observed, “I’m guessing you didn’t get fired.”

“Jared!” Jensen scolded, glaring at him with his arms crossed firm over his chest.

“It’s okay, Jensen” you laughed “No, I didn’t get fired,” you took a long pause for dramatic effect. “I got promoted!” you giggled, unable to contain your excitement.

“What? That’s great!” Jensen said as his green eyes flashed with happiness, wrapping his big arms around your waist and pulling you into a tight hug. His hands splayed across the small of your back and you let your arms wrap around his neck and squeezed lightly before letting go and pulling back. You turned to face Jared and Misha and they had… interesting expressions on their faces as they were glancing back and forth between one another and you and Jensen. They were almost smug. What the hell could those faces be about? You wondered.

“So what did you get promoted to?” Jared asked, getting up off the couch to grab a water bottle from the mini fridge.

“Associate producer” you let your smile grow even wider while the three boys’ mouths hung open in shock.

“That’s great, Y/N!” Jared said, setting his water on the counter and pulling you into a hug and lifting you off the ground because of his height.

“Umm, Jared” you said, waiting for him to put you back down.

You simply wiggled your feet in response as they hung in the air and he laughed and put you down, mouthing a ‘sorry’ and sitting back down on the couch with his water bottle in hand.

“It’s okay, moose. I forgive you” laughing at his on-screen nickname.

“Guess you’re pretty much a permanent part of the family then, aren’t ya?” Misha chuckled, glancing between you and Jensen briefly. What the hell was up with these weird glances and facial expressions? It was really starting to pique your curiosity.

“I hope so. I’ve been here for barely a day and I already feel connected to you guys, is that strange?” you asked, hoping you hadn’t sounded weird in front of three of the most beautiful men you’d ever seen.

“Nah, that’s not strange at all. You fit right in here. Your personality, positivity, and boldness are what meld you so well with us. I think I speak for all three of us when I say we’re happy you’re a part of this family now and we feel an easy connection with you too” Jensen said, squeezing your shoulder in reassurance and being casual as all hell as if he hadn’t just given you the best complement of your entire life. You looked to Jared and Misha who were nodding and smiling in agreement.

“Thanks guys! I have to get back to set now, I’m shadowing Kristin for the rest of the day” you beamed, flouncing your way out of the trailer. You were on cloud nine and nothing was going to damper your spirit today or anymore. You decided on that walk from his trailer to set, that you were going to bring your positivity to the table every day. If not for your benefit, but for others’ benefit too. It always helped to have someone to lift you up if you were ever feeling down, with this newfound confidence, who says you can’t be that person to someone else?

“Kristin? I’m Y/N” you greeted the associate producer, extending a hand.

“Ahh, Y/N. Nice to meet you. You’re going to be taking my position, I hear” she smiled, rearranging a few things on the prop table so they were back in their proper spots. Once she was satisfied with the layout, she took your hand and shook it, her hazel eyes sparkling.

“That’s correct.” she was extremely pleasant and appeared to be well respected by her fellow colleagues. You hoped you commanded the same respect when you took over her position.

You and Kristin were setting up a few things on set, helping out the crew and reading the script for the next scenes that were going to be filmed and sitting in the chair next to Kristin. You glanced to the back, curious at which chair you were in. You laughed a little when the back of the chair said ‘Dean Winchester’.

“They’ll be bringing you your own chair with your name and title on it in a few days, for now you can borrow Jensen’s” she smiled, handing you a bottle of water as she sat down in her own chair. One of the crew members was calling Jared, Jensen, and Misha to set so while they were on their way, you and Kristin simply chatted and got to know one another.

“Just go for it man” you heard in the distance behind you and you turned to see Misha and Jared nudging Jensen forward. Upon seeing you turn around Jensen looked down and whispered a quick ‘shut up’ before turning and going to get on his mark on set. You heard the director yell ‘quiet on set!’ followed by a nice, loud ‘Action!’ and the scene commenced.

“Sammy, I told you not to go in there on your own! You went and got yourself hurt. You could’ve died!” Dean yelled, sorrow evident on his face from even mentioning his brother’s death. They couldn’t live without one another. Even the thought of one of them losing the other could be detrimental, as it made their focus blur, distracting them and wearing on their defenses.

“I thought it was going to be fine, Dean! I had no idea there was another ghoul in that house!” Sam yelled, then winced at his bruised ribs and the fact that he looked like he got rammed into by a truck a few times. He was bloodied from his face down to his hip on his right side, a large gash in a loose ‘c’ shape was swept from his eyebrow down under his cheekbone.

“Where the hell is Cas?!” Dean asked gruffly. Standing abruptly and pacing the dingy motel room, waiting for the aforementioned angel to appear.

“Dean! I’m here!” Misha yelled in his highest pitched voice possible as he popped up from behind the bed with a jovial expression, causing both Jensen and Jared to bust out laughing.

“Cut!” the director yelled, “Get your giggles out now guys, we’ve got a long day of shooting ahead of us.”

They rolled through the scene a few more times, getting all the angles. You and Kristin looked over the shots with the director and writers, making sure you had everything you needed to edit together a good scene.

“So what do you think, Y/N?” Kristin asked, sipping her water and gesturing to the screen the two of you were looking through shots on.

“I think we got pretty much everything. I don’t really have anything to add, all of those scenes were pretty cut and dry” you laughed.

“Yeah, sometimes the guys just do our jobs for us” she chuckled, “They all know what they’re doing and don’t need too much direction when it comes to the typical scenes, but you gotta reel them in when they goof off too much. The gag reels can only be so long” she chuckled once more as she gave the thumbs up to the director and the two of you returned to your chairs.

“Alright, that’s a wrap everyone!” the director yelled out after a few more hours of shooting, signaling that you were done for the day. You and Kristin put a few things away and gathered your notebooks and scripts.

“See you tomorrow, Y/N! Bright and early!” she smiled, waving to you as she walked towards the gate that lead to the parking lot. You could definitely get used to this. You decided to head over to Jensen’s trailer to grab your flannel so you could attempt to get the coffee stain out when you did laundry tonight. As you walked up to the large, white trailer, you heard muffled voices from inside. You almost walked away and decided not to bother him, but instead of eavesdropping while you were making your decision, you decided to wrap your knuckles on the door. You heard some shuffling and then Jensen’s voice rang out.

“Who is it?”

“Jensen, it’s me. Y/N. I was just coming to grab my flannel” you said, considering once more just leaving him to whoever was in his trailer.

“Oh, yeah. Come on in” you heard him say as the door clicked and he swung it open, revealing him and a gorgeous brunette woman inside. It was Danneel.

“Oh, I’m sorry I didn’t mean to disturb you guys. If you could just hand me my shirt” you said, pointing to your red flannel, still folded up on the counter next to Jensen. You felt a little guilty for bothering the couple, you were sure they didn’t have much time alone without JJ because they both had such busy lives. You were staring at the ground and shuffling your feet a little, feeling quite awkward. Heat began to rise in your cheeks as you realized that you came face-to-face with Danneel for the first time while wearing Jensen’s shirt. You held a finger up and opened your mouth to explain yourself, but were swiftly interrupted.

“That’s okay, I was just leaving” Danneel said, squeezing past you and Jensen. What the hell? You thought. Confusion was written all over your face and you were only snapped from it when Jensen waved for you to come up the stairs and enter his trailer. Suddenly you noticed Jensen wasn’t wearing a wedding ring. He must’ve not put it back on after filming. The voice in your head was justifying every single inconsistency that was pointing out that the man in front of you might be single. You cursed yourself for letting your thoughts wander to a place where Jensen was divorced.

“So uh, I’ll just wash your shirt and give it back to you tomorrow” you smiled, fiddling with the buttons of your flannel where it was still positioned on the counter.

“You’re leaving already?” Jensen asked, letting a slight pout form on his face. His gorgeous lips were something you had to physically stop yourself from staring at.

“Yeah, director called a wrap so I figured I’d just go home. There’s not much else for me to do except go over some scripts for tomorrow and make notes. I figured I’d just do that over a six pack and some movies” you chuckled, thinking about how your bathtub was calling your name and how you’d get your work done after you’d thoroughly relaxed and soaked yourself in the tub.

“Well, Jar, Misha, Mark, Rob, and myself were going to go out for some drinks. Would you like to come with us?” he smiled, grabbing a dark grey jacket and slipping it on.

“You know what? Fuck it, I’ll go. Might as well get to know you guys better” you grinned, “I’ll be designated driver for anyone who wants to get drunk, I gotta get home and I don’t drink and drive in Lucy.”

“I’m gonna assume Lucy is your car” he chuckled, “Me, Misha and Jared will ride with you.”

“Oh god, Team Free Will is going to get drunk and I have to drive you guys home” you laughed.

“Hell yeah, sweetheart” he smirked, winking at you before leading you out of his trailer.

You got to your car and you heard Jensen let out a low whistle. He looked over your car, a smile stretching over his face.

“She’s gorgeous. 1969?” he purred, letting his hand run over the cool metal of your sleek black car.

“Yeah, you’ve got a good eye” you smiled, admiring the car that you doted over every chance you got.

“It’s nice to see a woman who has an appreciation for a good car. She’s beautiful” he said, his green eyes glinting under the light from the street lamps and still glued to the lines of your car.

“An appreciation that I inherited from my dad. He’s the one who got me this car after he and I rebuilt his 1965 Thunderbird together” you smiled. You loved having fond memories of your dad, you missed that man with all your heart. The car was your connection to him, your way of being with him even though he was gone. So every time you worked on it, you felt like he was right by your side.

“You and Dean have a lot in common” Jensen teased and you snorted.

“Jokes aside, that’s one of my favorite ways I’ve ever related to a character. That part of Dean really hit home with me” you said, pulling open the driver’s side door and sliding into the car. You saw Misha and Jared in the distance laughing and walking their way to your car. You waved to them through the window and saw Jensen wave too before he opened the passenger’s door and got in.

“Damn! Nice car, Y/N!” Misha exclaimed, sliding into the back seat. You laughed and responded with a ‘thanks’ as Jared said something almost identical to Misha as he slid in the other side.

The drive to the bar wasn’t too long, but the boys kept you entertained the whole ride there. They told stories about random pranks they pulled on one another on set and some of the crazy hijinks they’d gotten into together. Once the three of you got out of the car and walked into the bar, Mark and Rob were already there.

“Hey guys! Way to start without us!” Jared chuckled, tossing an arm lazily over your shoulders as you walked beside him, “This is Y/N. She’s taking Kristin’s spot as associate producer.”

“Hello Y/N” Mark said, his English accent was smooth like butter as he kissed your knuckles.

“Hey Y/N! Welcome to the Supernatural family!” Rob said with excitement evident in his voice, pulling you into a brief hug. You were happy to finally be around people your size. Jared and Jensen were like human trees and even Misha was tall. You felt like a midget standing around them. You took your seat at the table between Jensen and Rob and you barely noticed when a few minutes later, Jensen’s arm was slung across the back of your chair.

The laughing and conversation continued for hours and the boys were through about four rounds of drinks by the time to conversation turned to you.

“So, Y/N. Sam or Dean?” Jared asked, trying to hold a straight face but shortly bursting into laughter. He was such a fun drunk, he was all giggles and jokes. Basically just normal Jared but a little bit more giggly and with less of a filter.

“Okay, well I’ll be honest. Towards the beginning of the show I was a total Sam girl. I immediately fell for his shaggy brown hair and those big hazel eyes” you giggled, looking dreamily at Jared and laughing, “but after like season four or five, I turned into a Dean girl. That rough hunter exterior and those glowing green eyes. The way he loved so hard and so deep for the people that mean something to him. Oh, and don’t even get me started on Demon Dean” you laughed, letting all of this flow out of you because you were sure none of them would remember it tomorrow.

“Well that settles it then” Jensen said, shifting in his chair as his arm moved from the back of your chair to your shoulders, “she likes me more Sammy. I mean Jared” everyone laughed at his fake slip-up, but Misha was the one who noticed his arm around you and he raised an eyebrow and smirked. You simply mouthed ‘I don’t know’ and shrugged your shoulders. You had heard that Jensen was a touchy drunk, but the way his fingers were tracing light circles on your exposed shoulder was curious. You nestled yourself closer to Jensen, enjoying the weight of his arm over your shoulders. You were right about his initial magnetism when you met him, but he was drunk and a little extra friendly. It was no big deal. You and Jensen got caught up in your own little conversation, tossing back and forth a few compliments about his acting and your apparent natural gift for film production. You were so consumed in the conversation that you failed to noticed Jensen had shifted to almost face you, his arm still slung around your shoulders. The other thing you failed to notice was how close your faces got while you were talking, you were leaning into one another.

“Alright quit your flirting and join us back here in reality!” Misha’s voice snapped you and Jensen from your little bubble.

“We were not flirting. Flirting and complements are two different things” you said quickly, a blush rising in your cheeks.

“Yes, dear, that they are. It just so happens you and Jay here were doing both” Mark laughed, clinking his glass with Rob before downing his whiskey.

“It’s okay sweetheart, they’re just jealous” Jensen said in his gruffest Dean voice.

“Jensen quit trying to use your Dean voice on girls when you get drunk” Jared chuckled and hiccuped, causing Jensen to laugh and kiss you on the temple. Your heart stopped in that moment. His arm around the back of your chair was one thing, his arm around your shoulders was a little bit more, but kissing you on the head? This was a whole new area of touchiness that you weren’t expecting from him. You decided just to brush it off as Jensen being drunk and handsy. However, you couldn’t lie that his lips felt like fire on your skin and sent a jolt of electricity down your spine that you hadn’t felt before when someone kissed you. In order to calm yourself a little and avoid any more teasing from the guys you politely as possible half shrugged yourself out from Jensen’s grip and leaned back in your chair. He looked into your eyes, an unsaid question lingering between the two of you. Instead of answering, you gave him a closed lip smile and delved back into conversation with Misha and Jared, laughing about how chaotic your first day was.

“Alright lads, I think it’s time we went home” you said, stretching and scooting back in your seat, hopping off the high bar chair. You hugged Mark and Rob goodbye, making sure Jensen, Misha, and Jared were on their way out the door as something caught your eye on the table. Shit, Jensen left his phone. You grabbed it as it lit up, it was Danneel. Your eyes couldn’t look away from the message on the screen no matter how hard you tried not to read it.

From Danneel: You have JJ again this weekend. My house is being painted and it’ll just be better if she stays at your place for another weekend.

You couldn’t help but think it was strange the way the message was worded. Why would she be saying this stuff if her and Jay were still married? Unless they got divorced and kept it quiet. You shook yourself from your thoughts and went to join the boys in your car. When you slid in the driver’s seat, you landed on something that wasn’t your leather seat. You were sitting in Jensen’s lap. The three boys absolutely lost it when they saw your shocked face, Misha and Jared were bent over in the back seat, laughing so hard they could barely breathe and Jensen was chuckling deeply beneath you.

“Jay, get in your own seat!” you laughed as you pushed him across the bench seat over to the passenger’s side, “by the way you left your phone on the table” you said, handing him his phone as he thanked you, slurring a little.

“Are you guys conscious enough to direct me to your houses?” you laughed, looking in the rearview mirror at Jared and Misha. The guys nodded and giggled, enjoying themselves way too much. You drove to Jared’s house, pulling up at the front and waiting until he stumbled his way up the sidewalk and fumbled with his keys until he finally unlocked the door. He turned around and waved to you before he shut the door. Next up was Misha, his house wasn’t that far. His pattern was quite the same as Jared’s. He stumbled up to the front door, dropping his keys once before struggling to get the key into the lock. He did a little happy dance after successfully unlocking the door and waved to you, mouthing that he’d see you tomorrow. You looked over to ask Jensen which way his house was and he was asleep. Laughing to yourself, you shook his shoulder.

“Jensen. Jensen, wake up” you said, still shaking his shoulder.

“Mmmm. Oh, sorry Y/N. I guess I dozed off. You gotta make a right at the light up there to go towards my house” he said, trying to pull himself awake but his voice was still thick with sleep, something that you couldn’t deny was sexy as hell. He finished directing you towards his house and once you were parked out front he turned and smiled at you.

“Thanks for coming out with us, Y/N. And thanks for driving” he said, pulling you into a hug. You let yourself relax into his arms, your arms wrapping around his strong, broad back. You could feel the muscles moving under your fingertips even through the thick fabric of his jacket.

“Do you… Do you uh, wanna come inside for another drink? I was gonna order some chinese, I’m starving” he smirked, leaning back against the inside of the door, still seated.

“I wouldn’t want to disturb JJ or Danneel” you muttered, almost too low for him to hear.

“Oh, uh hah” he laughed, rubbing the back of his neck, “I uh, I actually live by myself. Danneel and I are divorced and we have joint custody of JJ.”

“Oh” you breathed out, you smiled when you felt Jensen’s hand on your knee.

“So, you wanna come in? Chinese and more beer, my treat” he chuckled, pointing a thumb back towards his house.

“Yeah, that sounds nice, Jensen. I’d love to.”

With that, the two of you got out of the car and walked up towards the front door of his large, tan house. The whole way up to the house he had his arm slung over your shoulders and was leaning some of his weight on you, mostly to stabilize himself because he was still kind of drunk. You couldn’t help your mind from wandering.

God he smells good. His stubble is adorable. That dopey smile on his face is quite possibly the cutest thing I’ve ever seen.

Luckily you didn’t have to feel bad about your thoughts anymore.

Reversed Roles: Part 2

Summary: The reader is Jared Padalecki’s little sister. She’s finishing filming a movie and Jared tries to convince her to take a role on his show.

Word Count: 1895

Warnings: None in this part

A/N: Half of this series is just scenes that sound like fun to write that don’t really have anything to do with the story. I’m not even gonna apologize about that because I’m having so much fun. (Don’t worry guys, I’ll try not to make this into a 30 part series like my last few have been) Also, I love Danneel, but for the sake of this series, Jensen is definitely single.

Part 1

“They’ve got us surrounded,” Dean panted. You’d been running from the FBI for nearly half an hour. How they managed to keep up with two people trained to stay hidden was a mystery, but that didn’t change the fact that they would be on top of you any minute. Even this crowded street wouldn’t be enough to hide you and Dean. Your eyes skipped over the crowd, searching for anything that could help. Besides a few teenagers, some elderly, and a couple making out right in the middle of the sidewalk, there wasn’t anyth—

You snaked your hand around Dean’s neck and pulled his lips down to yours. After all, public displays of affection always made people’s gaze pass right over you.

As you can tell, I’m in a bit of the holiday spirit and I felt like writing “A day in the life” type imagine with Jensen, Jared, Gen, and the kids. :) Let me know if you like!

“Good morning, beautiful.” Jensen whispered in your ear, pressing a kiss on your temple.

He was always an early riser due to his hectic filming schedule. You, on the other hand, loved to sleep in, but you only had him for a limited amount of time so you forced yourself to open your eyes.

He smiled down at you, holding out a mug filled with coffee.”You know what today is?”

“What?” You asked, taking the cup from his hands, after rubbing the sleep from your eyes.

“December first.” He said, holding his other hand out with a small white gift bag. “First day of your birthday month.”

You laughed sweetly while you stretched, taking the tissue paper out of the bag to pull out a small box. It was a tradition we started as a joke when we first started dating 7 years ago and never stopped. Every year on the month of our birthdays, we’d get each other one small gift for every day of that month. Even if he was away for filming, there would be something in the mailbox every day.

He sat beside you on the bed, placing one hand on your thigh, his calloused thumb brushing against the softness of your bare skin. You opened the box to find a small silver bracelet with three different colored diamonds on it. He smiled, the sides of his eyes crinkling.

“It’s our birthstones. Yours, mine, and JJ’s.”

“You’re the greatest husband in the world, have I ever told you that?” You smiled up at him pressing a kiss on his lips. “It’s beautiful.”

He lowered his head in a chuckle, hiding get the proud blush from his cheeks before licking his lips and returning his eyes to yours.

“So you like it, babe?”

“Love it.” You nodded, carefully pulling it out of the box and handing it to him so he could help you out it on.

“Good. I’m going to go wake up the princess. Jared and the clan are coming over. We’re taking the kids to pick out a tree.”

“One tree? Don’t they need one?” you asked, swinging your legs over the side of the bed to stand.

“No, Gen had them put up decorations on Black Friday. Couldn’t wait any longer.”

You laughed . “Sounds like Gen. Well good. She can help me set up around here then.”

A few hours and a bunch of face time calls later, they finally came back with the perfect tree. It took the both of them to maneuver the 8 footer into the living room but they got it done. Gen and I had gone through boxes of decorations. We did the front hallway. The fireplace, most of the front yard. We had all of the curtains and flowers and scented candles to match the season, and started preparing dinner.  Now it was finally time for the tree.

Jenson took a step back, looking at it proudly with his hands on his hips then looked at me for confirmation.

“It’s great right?”

“The best, sweetheart.” You laughed and kissed him again.

JJ ran up to me, holding her arms up for me to lift her. “Mama it was the biggest in the whole lot!”

“Is that so?” You laughed as she held her arms out as wide as she could to show you.

“Yeah!” Tom answered. “Dad and Uncle Jensen could barely drive. It was Awesome!”

“Oh yeah?” Gen crossed her arms sternly looking at the men.

“Uh- no?” Jared laughed, wrapping his arms around her, kissing the side of her neck playfully.

I laughed, kissing my daughter’s check, “Well we made some lunch for everyone. We can set up the tree, watch some movies, then dinner?”

“Sounds amazing!” Jensen smiled, kissing your lips.

The five of you sat to eat a lunch of cold cut sandwiches. Jensen could smell the pie still in the oven but there was no way you were letting him get his hands on it until after dinner.

With Christmas music playing, you, Gen, and the kids, started on the massive tree while the two men went outside to put the lights on the roof and the trees on your front yard.

You smiled as JJ and Tom put up all of their favorite ornaments on the bottom while Gen carried Shep so he could put some higher up. Then the two of you took two step ladders to work your way to the top until it was time for the star. Jensen always put up the star.

“Babe!” You called out through the front door.

“Yeah?” You heard a few seconds later.

“Time for the star! How’s it going?”

He walked over, wiping his shoes on the doormat before coming inside, Jared following doing the same thing. With a kiss on the neck, he grabbed the star out of my hands, climbing the ladder to place it ontop. JJ hit the lights and we all clapped at how beautiful they had decorated the tree.

Jensen wrapped his arm around my waist, leaning his head over mine as the kids started playing around it. “You happy?”

“More than you could know.” You whispered in return.

“Good.” He smiled kissing the top of your head.

“Uncle Jen, uncle Jen!” Tom ran up to us, holding Jensen’s guitar. “Sing!”

“What do you say, buddy?” Jared reminded.

“Sure thing bud.” Jensen laughed, taking a seat on the coffee table. Jared leaned back on the couch, Shep on his lap while JJ and Tom sat on the ground in front of him.

Gen and I brought out some hot chocolate, passing it along to everyone before sitting with them. Gen curled up against Jared while I sat on the ground next to Jensen.

Jensen started singing “Have a Holly Jolly Christmas.” His beautiful voice carrying through the house. The kids amused. The fire crackling. It was perfect. We had done this as couples and now that the kids were growing and fully able to enjoy it with us, it made everything all the more worthwhile. Jensen shot you a wink, singing at the top of his lungs and you knew there was no place in the world you would ever rather be.

Chapter Two

Chapter Three:

Roman: Morning :). Woke up thinking of you, have a nice day.

In my 28 years of life, I received good morning texts I could count on one hand. Most of them were from my ‘mom and dad’ when I went to college, serving as reminders of their love. I say 'mom and dad’ because I knew they were really just from mom. I knew her text message voice.

In my adult life, every 18th of each month I also received 'morning’ texts…from my phone company with the latest bill. And a couple of times from my first and only boyfriend.

So when I woke up the next morning after the night with Roman, feeling groggy and hating myself for going to bed after 1am, greeted with a text,  I felt on top of the world. Untouchable. No one was going to ruin my mood. Because there was a guy out there and he was thinking about me first thing in the morning. And it wasn’t phenomenal because it was a guy, it was phenomenal because I had that effect on him. Maybe I’m not so bad after-all. Staying out late had all been worth it in the end.

Jen: Hey, morning to you too. It’s way too early to make me blush like that.

Roman: I miss your face when you’re blushing. Anything on the agenda today?

Jen: Lol I bet you do. Getting ready for work 😓

Roman: Oh snap, I’m sorry I kept you too long last night.

Jen: It was worth it.

Roman: Now I’m blushing.

Jen: Yeah right!

And he did the unthinkable. He sent me another text with an accompanying selfie, his bed hair strewn all over his crisp white pillow, his face flushed pink and an arm thrown over his forehead, as if he was just that casually good looking.

I had to compose myself before I could reply, tempted to save the picture so I could salivate at it at intervals during the day. I even had a close up of his tattoo; signs and symbols I couldn’t decipher. On a closer inspection, (I’m really not a stalker, I’m part journalist so paying attention to details is my forte. So don’t judge me. Thanks.); he had a scar that he concealed with the ink. That piqued my interest.

Jen: Well, hello good morning good lookin’.

Roman: 😳😳😳

Jen: Don’t act shy, you’re loving the attention. A blushing emoji would’ve been just fine, but I prefer the picture.

Roman: Oh, you do?

Jen: Yes. By the way, what is your beauty regiment? *takes notes*

Roman: Someone woke up feeling flirty this morning; where was this girl last night?

Roman: I like her.

FYI Romeo, I woke up feeling horny. Very horny, thanks to you and your delicious self; I had a dirty dream about you.

But I couldn’t text that; even though I knew he’d handle it well. He was Roman for goodness sake, the smooth operator.

Jen: She was on vacation.

Roman: I’m glad she’s back, can I talk to her?

I didn’t text back a reply, instead, I made a bold move and called him. I dunno what had gotten into me to be honest, I was acting so out of character, barely recognisable to myself. I wondered if I was always like this, but never really got the opportunity to realise it, like I did with Roman. In some ways…I liked it too.

“So tell me about this girl,” he said when he picked up. I could sense his smile. His voice was at its best; rough, ragged and low.

“What do you wanna know?”

“Who is she?”

“Oh she’s just my alter ego, she comes out now and then,”

“I’m intrigued,” he said casually. “She’s a flirt huh?”

“Is flirt lack of a better word?” I said suggestively.

“Perhaps,” he said with a low snigger. Jheeze. “But I don’t want to be rude,”

“Which one is it? Dirty? Freak? Naughty?” I offered him the synonyms I knew he was going for.

“Oh, I mean…I was just going to say 'blunt’ but alright, I’ll take all of them,” he said.

“No you weren’t,”

He laughed and then sighed, “You’re right, it’s not a bad thing though, I hope I’m not being rude,”

“No, you’re not,” i said with a shrug. All along my hand was twirling my hair around the index finger like a smitten teenager. Boy if he could see me right now.

He opened his mouth to say something - I heard him stutter before he came ot with, “So you like those words to describe yourself?”

So was it turning into that kinda conversation? I bit my lip, summoning words and ideas to flood my flirting-creativity-block infested brain.

“I didn’t say that,”

“Mhh,” he let out. He laughed quietly again. “Alright, okay, I see…”

“What?” I said coyly.

“Nothing baby-girl,” he said, and I crossed my legs tightly, down girl, down.

I loved the sound of his voice when said that, 'baby-girl’, so casual and low, like it was a secret between us. I closed my eyes, yearning to hear it again.

“You really are a little rebel huh? All that shy shit is a front,”

“If you say so. Tell me all about it tomorrow night, on that date I promised you,”

My face lit up, my body sat upright at the sound of that, and every part of me became awake and alive.

“Oh yeah,” I said trying to sound so casual, but I probably failed miserably and shamefully.

“So I’ll tell you about my win, and you tell me about your alter-ego,”

“Say, 7pm? I’ll come pick you up, if that’s okay,”

“Yeah that’s fine. Where are we going?”

“It’s a surprise,”

“Mmmhh, dunno if I trust your surprises,” I felt like I was in a movie and a date was coming to pick me up to go to prom. I never got to go to my prom. I felt elated.

“No? What if it’ll change your life?” he asked with seduction tinting his voice.

I made up my mind, Roman was a seducer. A sex-God sent from up above to make women like me feel all giddy without even having sex.

“Then it’ll be the best I’ve ever had,” I said after consulting my new alter-ego. I had to give him innuendos too, keep the game interesting.

“Then we’re both fucked,” he concluded. I couldn’t agree more.

And just like the prom; I now had to figure out what the fuck to wear in 48 hours because for some reason, everything was last minute with him.

“I am royally fucked!” I exclaimed the following day to Nyah, Deena and my other close friend Jessy as they gathered in my apartment to prep me for my first and official date with Roman.

“Why?” Jessy asked as if it really was that complicated.

“I’m scared,”

“Why?” she echoed again.

“He’s too much, I don’t know how to handle a man like him. He’s just so sure of himself, ticking every single box and I’m worried that there’s something majorly wrong with him. This can’t be right, something’s missing, or maybe I’m too afraid that I don’t compare or wont live up to his standards,”

“Maybe after all this, you’ll find out he has a small dick,” Nyah said with a frown, she looked traumatised at the thought, despite her point being so irrelevant. “That would be heartbreaking, a travesty, tragedy,”

“Are you gonna find out?” Deena asked with a grin.

I had thought about doing it with him honestly, mainly because he’d woken up parts of me that hadn’t been aroused for a long time. I hadn’t had it in a longtime, I’d learnt ways to cope by myself and a few gadgets.
But when asked, I didn’t know the answer. Would I give in to Roman just like that? Would I not though? Why? Especially considering how addictive he is, could I really even turn him down if the opportunity presented itself?  But was that good enough?

I adjusted my skin tight leather trousers on my waist and shrugged, avoiding eye contact in case they read me better.

“I dunno, we’ll see I guess,”

“What if he asks?”

“Guys I don’t know, stop making me nervous, I’m shitting myself already right now,”

“You’re dressed for the part though, I mean those nail thin stilettos scream fuck me papi,” Nyah insinuated. She’s always had a dirty mouth so I wasn’t concerned.

“If I were in your shoes, pun unintended, I’d take him on,” Deena said thoughtfully. “What’ve you got to lose? Don’t get me wrong, we’re not getting any younger; you’re in your prime to experiment. And this man is hot, lay it on him hard,”

“I’m not gonna fuck him just because he’s hot,”

“Why else then?” Nyah asked with genuine confusion; eyes squinted as if trying to understand my logic.

I don’t think I’d worked it out either; I think I’d spent so much of my life being the good girl, trained to frown at things like this, yet deep down I really wanted to. I mean it helps me because I’m always single, and people (mom, dad, I’m looking at you) always ask “when are we gonna meet your boyfriend?” the nonexistent boyfriend. I’d go off on a philosophy about waiting for the right man and being a good girl.

I was conflicted inside though; do I give into what I want because I want it, even though it makes me like the women I’ve been trained to frown on? Or do I miss out and hold my head up high, even though that’s not what I really wanted, but feel good because 'morally’ I’ve made the right decision?

“I dunno, if he’s a good guy,”

“Well you’ve hung with him, and now you’re going on a date with him, so obviously y'know he’s a 'good guy’,”

She was right.

 "Leave me alone, I’m tired,“

Luckily, my phone vibrated into a dance on my dressing up table disturbing the curious Q&A. I reached for it and saw Roman’s name on the screen.

"It’s him,”

“Answer it then,”

“Uh-hello, hi,” I said nervously biting my lips.

“Hi,” he said, his voice lighter and more chipper than I’ve ever heard it. Was he as excited for the date as I was? “You ready? My taxi’s just pulling up outside yours,”

“Ummm,” I looked around at the items scattered on my bed that were due to go into my bag at one point, I hadn’t finished getting dressed, neither had I finished my make-up. “No not yet, sorry?”

“I can wait at-”

“Oh no, come up, I’ll buzz you up.” I said without thinking, but realised it when I saw my girls’ faces eye me with surprise. I couldn’t take it back either, and I wouldn’t have anyway.

“You sure?”

“Yeah, come on up,” I said before we said goodbye and I hung up. “Shit,”

“You are really fucked,” Nyah commented. Thank you for your valued opinion Captain Obvious.

“You guys gotta go sit with him and keep him company, please?” I thought. “He can’t be on his own, it’ll be rude. But please don’t say anything out of line, just act human.”

“I finally get to meet the man candy!” Jess said happily, leading the way out.

They scurried away into my living room and moments later I heard the door open and his voice. He was talking with them like he knew them; strings of sentences and laughing outloud. What the hell was really going on? I dumped all the stuff on my bed into my small shoulder bag and ran to my closet to grab my blazer and bag. I couldn’t keep him in there any longer with those vultures, who knew what they’d do to him. I examined my outfit for the last time and hoped for the best.

I shut the door to my room and took a deep breath and headed down the stairs. Jessy saw me first seeing as she was sitting facing the stairs. She smiled wide and big, then looked back at her congregation.

I snuck up behind Roman and covered his eyes with both hands. He laughed and placed his hands gently above mine, peeling them away.

“There she is,” he said, turning around in his seat, then thought better to stand up. He walked around the furniture and stood face to face with me, not shy about company, he checked me out and quirked his brow at me. “Jheeze, aren’t I lucky?”

“You look very polished,” I commented.

“Y'know, I kinda had to put in more effort. Don’t want you to put me on a Worst Dressed list,”

“You have a lot of other things that’d make up for it,” it just slipped.

“Glad to hear that, are you ready?”

“Yes sir,”

“Alright then, shall we?”

“So, where are you taking our friend Mr…Roman?” Jessy piped up.

Roman looked at her, startled, for once.

“Better yet, what are your intentions with her?”

“And what time would you be bringing her back?” Nyah chimed in.

I rolled my eyes and took his hands. “Ignore them, they thrive on this, this is why they don’t have many friends,”

He laughed and raised his hand at them, “Ladies, have a good evening,”

“Bye Roman,” they cooed in unison like horny teenagers, their bad cop routine forgotten.

“They’re so embarrassing,” I said to him as we exited my apartment. “I hope they were not too much trouble,”

“Nah, only when you came,” he smiled and reached for the button to call the elevator.

Once it came and we climbed in and stood side by side. Silence fell over us as the doors merged shut as if we’d both been waiting for it to in anticipation of what followed. I looked at him. He looked at me. He stepped closer, closing the gap. He kissed me, I kissed him back.

“Can I tell you a secret?” he said.

I nodded wearily. I was too curious to pass up on it though.  "Yeah?“

"It’s only been a minute, but I’m crazy about you,”

And just like that, he’d said everything I’d been feeling but couldn’t articulate into words. Was that even possible or real for two people to feel like that after knowing each other in that short space of time?

I couldn’t answer back because the elevator came to a halt on the 3rd floor and a family walked in. We stood next to each other in our little corner, our bodies  in contact. I gazed up at him, hoping that I could tell him the same with my eyes. And I think he got it. He smiled.

He was right the other day. We were both royally fucked.

Chapter Four

As Promised.

Finally Here my one shot fic that I promised you all. I haven’t written any fics for a LOOOOOOONG time so please be kind. I will try my best to have as little errors as possible.

This story is centered on the first phone conversation that Josh and Jen had after finding out who was in the cast. I did some research. I know Jen originally turned down the franchise and then changed her mind but I think this had an interesting motif as well.  By the way I like to think Jen’s parents are still romantic with each other.

Disclaimer #1: I would love to know Josh and Jen, but sadly I don’t. I also don’t know any of the cast of the Hunger Games or anyone else depicted in the story.

Disclaimer #2: Though this fanfiction is centered closely around real events, it is fictional.

Disclaimer #3: The rating is M just in case….

And finally Here it is…

45 Minutes

Jen looked over at the script for the third time that evening. She hoped she got the role. She had read the first book prior to trying out for the role. Katniss intrigued her. She was interesting. Jen had no clue where Katniss’s journey might take her. Which only excited her more. She sighed and closed her eyes. Praying that she would be able to give the role justice. Above all, she hoped that the guy playing Peeta wasn’t an asshole or worse…boring. She could handle dick-ish guys, but boring was where she drew the line. After all she grew up with two brothers who drove her to the edge of insanity on most days. Sure they were crazy like all the Lawrence’s but at least she had fun, most of the time. She got up from the bed and placed the script on her dresser. She didn’t want to spend too much time in California waiting for an answer so she decided to go back to Louisville where there would be less anxiety and stress. “Now, where the hell did I put my cell?” she wondered as she looked around. “must be downstairs. I wonder if there’s any left-over pizza from last night. I’m hungry anyway” She mused as she descended the stairs. She looked in the fridge for anything that might satiate her hunger. As she turned to place her already heated pizza on the table she saw her phone . The damn thing was vibrating. “Fuck, I forgot to put up the volume.” She picked it up quickly, “Hello?”

“Jen? Is that you?”

“Yeah, I’m sorry Liz I had my phone on vibrate and forgot.”

“Jesus, Jen, I called you four times. I was Starting to get worried something happened. Anyway, I have great news. You got the part.” Jen whooped and pumped her fists in triumph. She was so excited and enraptured in the moment that she didn’t even let Liz finish the rest of the information. She heard Liz yelling at the top of her lungs trying to capture her attention.

“HELLLLLOOOOOO!” She yelled. Jen quickly recovered and put the phone to her ear.

“Yeah, I’m sorry but I really don’t have the mentality right now to keep in all the info that you’re trying to give me. So, can you text it to me instead? That way I don’t forget. I’m too excited right now.”

Liz sighed and said, “Sure, But please make sure you’re at the reading on time.”

“Fine. I’ll be there. By the way who’s playing Peeta?”

“Oh, It’s Josh Hutcherson.”

Jen’s Eyes grew wide, “THE Josh Hutcherson? The guy I told you that I had to use to get my parents on board with my acting career?”

“The very same.”

“So, is there any way you might know his number?”

“Why?” Asked Liz with a hint of suspicion.

“Oh come on Liz. If I have to work with the guy I at least have to talk to him at some point.”

“Yeah, and you can do that at the reading.”

“It’ll be too awkward. I don’t want the people to think we have no chemistry. If I talk to him I can get all the awkwardness out of the way and get straight down business.”

“I’ll text you his number. If you weren’t an actress you would’ve made a great lawyer.”

“Thanks. I’ll Talk to you later.” She hung up the phone and did a little jig. “I got the part. I can’t believe it.” She thought with a big grin plastered on her face.

Do You, I Do: Chapter Six

~I am so sorry for the delay everyone, life has gotten in the way. I hope you all enjoy this. Thing will be getting tense from here on out for our newlyweds. ohmyjoshiferr and I hope you enjoy this. Chapter seven will be out soon!!

She figured it was just the hormones again. Josh called her, sounding rushed and out of breath, saying he’ll meet her there because otherwise they would both be late.

Her stomach twisted into knots and she was sure it wasn’t because of the baby.Ever since Josh had started the process for producing this film, Jennifer couldn’t remember the name, he had started acting different. Coming home later, more short tempered.

She tried to understand, she really did. Acting was way different but coming home tired and even a little frustrated was never rare.Jennifer’s thoughts were broken when a nurse called her name. “Mrs. Hutcherson?”

“Hi,” She said with a sweet smile. The nurse smiled back, setting some items on a counter beside her. Only when she was about to begin talking again did Josh rush through the door.“I’m here! I’m here.” He said hurriedly, causing a scene. Jennifer’s gaze fell to the ground in disappointment. Josh tried to lift her chin to place a quick peck to her lips but with her hand flat on his chest she pushed him into the seat next to her. “Sit down. We’ll talk about this later.”“I’m sorry,” he mumbled, resting his hand on her thigh.

Jennifer scowled at him, moving his hand from her leg. The nurse had left the room momentarily, leaving them alone for the first time that morning. Before he even had a chance to speak, Jennifer spoke up. “I don’t want to hear your excuse.”“Jen, you know why.”

“Josh,” She fumed, “I just said I don’t want to talk about this, okay? It’s supposed to be a happy day and I would appreciate it if you didn’t go fucking it up for me.”

His jaw dropped. “For you? Are you forgetting that’s it’s my child too?”

“Oh no, I am very aware. Trust me.” She rolled her eyes and her hands gripped the cushioned bed underneath her harshly. Jennifer cut her eyes to him. “It’s your fault we’re in this mess."His mouth shut tight, his anger more than visible from the clenching of his jaw. "You know what? You’re right. This is supposed to be a happy day and I’m not arguing with you.”

“Good,” Jennifer commented, crossing her arms like a cocky five-year old. “I don’t deserve it.”

Josh scoffed loudly, letting almost turn into a laugh. “The amount of shit I’ve had to-”

His rant was cut off by the sound of the door opening once again.Jennifer’s doctor smiled widely. “Hey, you two! Ready to find out if this is a boy or a girl?"Completely caught off guard, Jennifer’s lips twisted into a tight smile. Josh did the same.

"We’re both excited.” Jennifer lied. It was a cover lie but she really was excited. She just wished they hadn’t gotten into an argument. They had both been looking forward to this moment more than anything.“Alright! Let’s get started!”

Jennifer gave a weary smile, suddenly more than nervous about all of this happening. She laid back on the cold, hard table as the doctor readied her equipment. Josh stood on the other end of the room watching silently. Her hands gripped at the sides of the bed again, wishing Josh was right next her now.“Alright.” The doctor hummed, before placing her cold hands on Jennifer’s stomach feeling around. The baby within her kicked eagerly.A quiet giggle slipped from her lips at the feeling. The first time she felt a kick she almost fell on the floor. It was more scary than enjoyable but now feeling the baby kick only filled her with endless joy.“Josh,” the doctor quipped, “Are you not going to stand by Jennifer? Usually the two of you are all over each other."The smile dropped from Jennifer’s lips just slightly. Josh locked eyes with her, searching for an answer.

"I just… um I didn’t- I should um,” He rambled and stuttered not quite wanting to tell the doctor what had happened before. The look in Jennifer’s eyes practically pulled him to her though. He set down his jacket and stood directly next to her. She held out her hand immediately for him to hold and he gladly took it in his. The feeling almost felt like everything was okay again.Josh leaned down and rested his forehead on hers. “I’m so sorry.”

She placed a quick peck on his lips, making up for the one she had denied before. “Later,” She whispered.

Josh nodded. “I know.”

He mouthed. The doctor clasped her hands together and grinned. “Okay, Jennifer. I’m gonna put this jelly on your belly, and we’ll see the sex."Jennifer giggled again in excitement, squeezing Josh’s hands just a little bit tighter.

“That rhymed- oh!” She jumped at the cold gel on her skin. The pair watched the screen with anticipation as the doctor moved the camera across Jennifer’s belly.

"Okay, it looks like,” She said narrowing her eyes. “You’re having a girl!"They were both speechless with happiness. Jennifer’s lip quivered just slightly, tears pooling up in her eyes; almost like everything really just hit her for the first time. She looked up at Josh to see his eyes slightly glossed over as well, never batting an eye away from the screen.

"That’s our girl,” Josh said kissing Jennifer’s temple. “You were right all along.”

Her hand covered her mouth in disbelief squeezing his hand impossibly tight.“Oh my god!” Jennifer exclaimed. “She’s so tiny.”

Josh and Jennifer continued to watch the screen as their little one moved.“I know,” He responded in awe.Josh looked over at Jennifer, who had a few tears trickling down her cheeks. “I love you, Jen.”

“I love you so much,” She smiled, her cheeks beginning to hurt from grinning so hard.

“Congratulations you two!” The doctor says after cleaning up Jennifer. “Let me get these printed and you can be on your way. I’ll see you in two weeks.”

As soon as she walked out of the room, Jennifer slipped off the the bed and crushed herself to Josh. Her baby bump got in the way just a bit but he pulled her even closer, leaning his forehead on hers.“Jen, I’m so sorry,” he mumbled. “I know,” She sighed, “But you made it. That’s all that matters."He tried to apologize again, but Jennifer stopped him with her lips. It wasn’t much; just a gentle touch of her lips to his but needed in every way."We’re having a little girl,” She whispered in awe, smiling against his lips.Josh nodded. “No dating till she’s thirty.”

“Relax. We’re not even thirty yet.” She laughed quietly.“Not much longer,” he joked back. It became quiet between the two of them.

“We’re good right?"She nodded wordlessly but it wasn’t a lie. Everything had to be good. She couldn’t imagine going through this without him.

"Josh! Come here! Quick!” Jennifer called from the living room, where she sat on the couch. She could hear his rapid stomps down the stairs, almost laughing at the terrified look on his face as he reached her.

“What? Are you okay? Is the baby coming?"Jennifer held her head back and laughed. "No! But you have got to feel this!” she said, beckoning to him with her arms.“Shit,” He sighed in relief, pausing a minute to catch his breath. “You can’t scare me like that.”

Jennifer pouted. “This is important.”

“I’m coming. I’m coming.”

He walked over to her, her body sprawled across the couch and reaching her arms out for Josh.Jennifer grabbed his hand and pressed it to her stomach. “Wait for it."As soon as his hand was pressed firmly against her skin, he could feel the fluttering of light kicks. His heart grew about ten sizes.

"Someone’s excited,” He smiled, sliding next to her to put his lips against her stomach instead. He still felt every little kick.“Yeah, well I’m excited to get her out,” Jennifer groaned yet she couldn’t keep the grin off her face. It was such a weird feeling but she couldn’t get enough of it. “Only three more months.” ’ Josh thought, but that isn’t what his mouth said. He didn’t want to let Jennifer know that he alone was also irritable. It was a lot for them to handle so there was no doubt there would be unnecessary arguments but sometimes it really did feel like too much.

But then moments like this contradicted every bad thought.“What do you think about Lillian?” Jennifer said, breaking his thoughts.

“I think I like it."Jennifer grinned, resting her hands on her bulging belly. "You pick the middle name.”

“I think we have to go abstract like the rest.“

"Josh, I swear-”

“What?” He asked with an amused smirk.

“If you suggest any color, fruit, or direction to name our child I’m kicking you out."Josh laughed.

"What about Apple?” He asked, just to see her reaction. She slapped his arm and rolled her eyes. “Oh god, stop it.”

“Don’t you think Lillian Apple Hutcherson sounds good?” Josh asked, laughing.

“It’s sounds like a damn Yankee-candle scent.”

Josh raised an eyebrow. “Yankee-candle?”

“Yes, Yankee-candle. Point is we’re giving our child a normal name.”

“Normal?” Josh quipped. “Like, Lillian Julia Hutcherson?"Her expression softened, her lips in something of a sad smile.

"Josh, that’s so pretty.” She began to bite down on her lip to stop the unnecessary tears that were ready to flow.He groaned.

“Don’t cry, Jen."She immediately scowled and wiped her tears. "Shut up. It’s not my fault."Josh rolled his eyes.

"I know, I know, Jen. It’s my fault. I am the one who knocked you up.”

“That’s not what I said.”

“But that’s what you meant.” Josh deadpanned. She turned to lock eyes with him. She didn’t know where this sudden tension came from but she wouldn’t let it go unresolved.“What the hell just happened?” Jennifer asked, raising up to face Josh.

“You tell me.”

“No,” She stated, “I’m supposed to be the moody pregnant one. Not you.”

Josh sighed, resting his head in his hands. “I’m sorry. I’ve been really worked up lately about this movie and I’m taking it out on you; which is wrong. We start casting tomorrow and filming location is in Sacramento.”

Jennifer’s eyes widened. Sacramento? “That’s over five hours away, Josh."His expression softened, casually brushing his fingers across her shoulders to get her to relax.

"I know but it’s not my decision. It was the best option we had without going too far out of the way.

"Jennifer pouted, her lip quivering. "But what if something happens and you’re not here?"He slid down on the couch so he fit snugly into her side. Normally it was the other way around but the baby had switched things up between them. Josh rested a hand upon her baby bump, gently tracing invisible designs upon it. He could feel the baby start to kick again and it brought a smile to his face. He couldn’t believe they had even made it this far.

"Nothing is going to happen,” He promised, “I swear it."She looked up at him, tears brimming her eyes.

"You don’t know that.”

“Don’t think that way, baby,” He whispered, pressing a kiss to her forehead. Jennifer couldn’t explain how she felt, but something inside her made her stomach twist.

Chapter 4

“Cause we had a beautiful, magic love affair. What a sad, beautiful, tragic love affair,” I hear coming from my headphones.

It’s been one week since I’ve talked to Josh. One long week of not much food, not much activity, and a hell of a lot of Taylor Swift.

I’m not sure what I was expecting when I finally spoke to Josh. I knew he had amnesia, but I wasn’t expecting the same exact Josh, my Josh, just without his memories.

My Josh. And I can’t have him.

Fic: Lost And Found

Inspired by a puppy onesie Alex broadwayklaine and I saw at the mall today. Alternate meeting time!

PG, ~1000 words, fluffy fluff.

“I’m going to kill you.”

“Aw, c'mon, bro, it’s not like it’s not true!” Sam said, exasperated. “And you know Benji looks super handsome in it.”

Blaine snuggled his golden retriever puppy closer to his chest. “Benji always looks handsome, Sam. That doesn’t mean I need to walk him while he’s wearing a ‘Daddy’s Single!’ onesie!”

Benji yapped and wriggled at that. When Blaine set him loose, he ran over to Sam and barked cheerfully before running in circles around his feet.

“See? Benji agrees with me, don’t you, buddy?” Sam said, picking up Blaine’s traitorous little dog.

Do You, I Do? Chapter Seven

As always, thank you for your patience and thank you for reading! We hope you enjoy :) hysterical-for-joshifer

It was quiet across the line for a while. He was probably doing a million things but she couldn’t bring herself to hang up the phone. It had felt like ages since she last talked to him. Which was only the night before but she was longing for Josh like never before.

“Josh,” She asked hopefully, “Are you still there?”

He cleared his throat. “Yeah, Jen. I’m here. Just tired.”

“You know, if you come home you can come take a nap with me,” She smiled, elongating the last word. It only took a deep sigh from him to wipe that smile right off her face.

Lose Me - Joshifer one shot

First I just want to say, thank you all for ruining me and for letting me play in your Joshifer sandbox.  Hopefully this isn’t 100% awful

Lose Me

I’m touching hands with someone seriously beautiful

I feel it burning and I know I’m standing far too close

The low beat of the bass thrummed through one of the small hole in wall ex-pat bars that littered Campo de’ Fiori, and spilled into the crowded Piazza.  Josh muscled his way into the Drunken Ship, past the crowd of intoxicated university students and slipped in front of the bar.  Catching the bartender’s attention, he pointed to his empty bottle and shouted “Due birre!” before wiping the sweat from his brow, the intense heat of the Italian summer causing the thin white t-shirt he was wearing to stick to his skin.  After filming in Rome for the past three weeks his remedial Italian had left him with the sole ability to order beer, wine, and hail a taxi.

The bartender bent down behind the bar and stood back up holding two similar yet slightly different beers, “É questo va bene?”

The Book of Joshifer - Chapter Two: Prologue to a Kiss - A Joshifer story

Chapter One can be read here.

The Book of Joshifer

By: Jamie Sommers

Chapter Two: Prologue to a Kiss

Rated: M for language and sexual scenarios (Maybe flat out sex) but mostly because with me, you never know.

Synopsis: A compilation of one-shots that can be read on their own or within the series. Each chapter will be a snippet of Josh and Jennifer’s lives and tell the story of what happens after Mockingjay wraps.

Oh yeah, I don’t know these people. Work of fiction. Blah blah blah…

This second chapter occurs immediately after Suzanne Collins gives Josh and Jen some words of advice and takes us back to a time when the nature of Joshifer’s story began to change.
