Dear Evan Hansen Ace Connor, Chats
“Connor are you even listening to me?” The teen looked up as his dad yanked his ear buds out from where he was sitting on the couch. “Jesus, Cynthia he isn’t even listening to me.”
“Maybe you should try not yelling at Connor, he’s had a lot to deal with lately.”
“Like the drugs he’s been buying from John down the street? Connor, it’s bad enough you’re acting out all the time but now drugs? Do you even care about how you’re making us look?”
“Wow, you’re not even worried I’m buying drugs from a fifty something year old man, you’re worried about how that’s making you look.”
“Sweetie, your father didn’t mean it that way-” Cynthia went to hug her son who immediately shoved her away as he got up.
“I’m going upstairs.”
“Connor!” Larry angrily called after his son before he heard the sound of his son’s room door being slammed shut. “Damn it, why can’t that boy ever listen to me? I swear to God if he has another outburst like that we’re sending him to military school.”
“Larry, you don’t mean that.”
“This time I do.” The man looked at the ear buds he was holding before throwing them into a nearby trash bin. “And don’t get him anymore of these, he doesn’t need them.”
Connor slammed the door frustrated before heading over and starting his computer up.
‘Why can’t he just leave me alone? He already knows I smoke pot. The only reason he cares about yesterday is because I got caught…’
The screen finally loaded allowing Connor log into his Ace Anonymous account. Anything to get his mind off the fight…

Connor logged off the chat as his stomach growled prompting him to look at the time. It was almost eight as he got up. His dad probably wasn’t downstairs anymore and a twinkie sounded really good right now.
