the two greatest shows in the world

top 5 noya and tanaka brotp moments plsss

I LOVE THEIR FRIENDSHIP! They’re brotp goals, prepare for trouble and make it double, everything they do together is my favorite thing they do but let’s see:

1. Tanaka crying over Nishinoya’s bruises. This is always the first scene that comes to my mind when I think about them, mostly because I relate to Tanaka on a spiritual level. Nishinoya actually makes Tanaka cry over how badass and selfless that he is. Plus notice that here Tanaka calls him Noya-san, despite being not only from the same year, but being his best friend too. He respects him…so much. I cry too every time

2. Every time Tanaka lifts Nishinoya up. I adore the fact that they’re so physical and affectionate with each other. Out of all the boys, they’re the two that hug, touch and lean on the most. Plus this thing where Noya let’s Tanaka do all kind of things with his body gives me life. And the lifting thing is for sure my favorite one.

3. When they almost killed Tsukishima after his insane block. They have a thing for harassing him in general, but here they were just the most proud. Noya and Tanaka were the first of the team to go cheer on him after he did what’s probably the most iconic block of the Haikyuu history. And this shows that they do are the greatest dork that the world has ever seen, but they are the most supportive teammates ever too, always there and ready to acknowledge every single good thing and picking them up when they’re down. They just…show their affection in their own way, sometimes hitting, sometimes eating people alive too

4. Their special cheering dance. Precious both in anime and in real life

Thank you for your message!

Ask me my top 5 things!

Let’s talk about Whitney Houston the conduit.

When I say I want to be a conduit of opportunity, Whitney Elizabeth Houston is one of the gold standards to me of creating and opening doors for other performers.

This is the woman who declined performing the role of Cinderella as was originally offered, promoting Brandy for the role in her place. The woman who could have done another fire solo soundtrack for Waiting To Exhale, but brought on over fourteen additional artists to perform tracks (many of which became hits and quiet storm staples). As a filmmaker she produced The Princess Diaries films, the Sparkle remake, and - yes, hunty - Cheetah Girls 1&2. #strutlikeyoumeanit

In 1999 she helped Mary J. Blige’s explosion into the mainstream stratosphere by bringing her onstage as a special guest during Vh1 Divas Live ‘99 - still a record-breaking broadcast that is a large reason Mary became a household name outside of the hip hop and R&B audience. In the studio and on stages she would pass the mic to Monica, Kelly Price, Karen Clark Sheard, and others, an unabashed fan of vocals and technique.

This was a woman who loved being a woman, who loved being Black, and, despite mounting obstacles in her personal life, still promoted quality entertainers and produced quality content that showed positive images of other women and other Black people AND other Black women. Who can forget Raven-Symoné (back when we didn’t have the problems we do now) dropping and posing in heels and skintights while weighing more than her Cheetah peers and the film allowed her to be thought of as driven, desirable and accessible as a contemporary lead who was not Hollywood conventional - something we didn’t really get again until Annalise Keating showed up on our screens two years ago.

Too often she’s been reduced to her voice or her issues. Here’s to just another facet of an American Black Diamond. Here’s to Whitney the conduit. Black history is world history. Salute.

Hand to Hand Destiel

//anonymous asked:
Sorry about your leviathan situation. :< (ik the feel) Maybe you could write some fluffy blushy awkward hand holding destiel? WHATEVER MAKES YOU FEEL BETTER MAN *hugs*

about: Just a short, fluffly fluff fic about Cas asking to hold hands with Dean for the first time.

Cas and Dean had been officially together for about a year now. Even though everyone knew they already had fallen madly for one another since they first saw each other and Cas had gotten Dean out of Hell, giving him the hand print. Now that the rest of the world went “finally!” when the hunter and angel announced they are together. The two could finally at least have one good thing happen in their lives. The problem was that now they could finally show their feelings for each other in public and in private, it was almost like they didn’t know how after so long of denying themselves both the greatest of pleasures when it comes to having a lover but even more importantly, the simplest of pleasures.

Dean was walking around the library, looking for new books, when out of nowhere, Cas popped up behind Dean, almost causing him to knock over the bookshelf.

“ Whoa! Jesus, Cas! You almost scared the living day lights out of me.”

Cas tilted his head and Dean knew that his little angel was confused.

“ Not literally, Cas.”

A nearby librarian shushed them as Cas whispered softly, earning a glare from her. Dean chuckled then raised his brow at Castiel.

“ So, did you find any new books for the case?”

“ Yes, but that is not what I came over here for.”

“ Then what do you need?”

Cas open and closed his mouth a few times, squinting his eyes as he tried to think of how to explain this to Dean.

“ I wish to do the thing couples do when they are together, to show affection. Skin,on skin contact”

Dean blushed lightly, making his light freckles pop out slightly more as he looked around, making sure no one else heard that.

“ C-Cas, can you at least wait till we get back to the bunker? I mean I want to do that too but we have research to do. “

“ No Dean. I want it now, please. I know we have never done it but as seeing we are now bonded I think it is very much acceptable to do this act in public and in private.”

“ P-Public!?”

“ Shhh!” The librarian said

Dean lowered his voice, running his hand through his short, dirty blonde hair.

“ Man ,Cas, never took you for the kind that could get off in public. I guess you learn something new everyday.”

Cas tilted his head in confusion then he stared blankly at Dean, his tan face slowly becoming a very red shade when he realized what Dean thought he was implying. Cas shook his head then cleared his throat. Making Dean smirk lightly.

“ Dean, I think you don’t understand what I meant. I wish to hold the hands.”

Dean blinked, staring at cas then couldn’t help but laugh as quietly as he could, covering his mouth so that he didn’t make the already mad librarian at more pissed off at them.

“ Cas, I love you honey. You crack me.”

Dean smiled then slowly reached for Castiel’s hand. They slowly intertwined their hands and they both felt their face’s heat up and their heart’s beat fast. Cas smiled wide then leaned up slightly and kissed Dean’s cheek.

“ Thank you Dean.”

“ No problem my Honeybee.”

Dean and Cas spent the rest of the day holding hands in the library. They of course got a few looks from people and a few mumbles but Dean would just shoot them a glare and Cas would gently nuzzle Dean’s shoulder every time. As the two sat across from each other, their arms out stretched so they could continue to hold hands. Dean smiled and looked at cas shyly.

“ T-This is really nice. We need to do this more often.”

Cas only smiled lovingly at Dean and nodded then gently moved Dean’s hand to his lips, kissing the knuckles softly.

Prompt: New York City is your own weekend mistress.

Words: 2,007

Author’s Note: This was heavily inspired by the movie ‘Before We Go’ (which is on Netflix, you should watch it!). Title taken from TL5Y, because I love that musical with all my heart. This is probably as close to angst as I will write.

Warnings: Mentions of cheating, cursing.

Askbox | Masterlist

It seemed that every person’s mission in New York was to make you miss your train.

You had it all planned out, too. An itinerary sat unused in your purse, your meticulously timed day was off to a late start with the first item. Checking out of your hotel.

You gave yourself twenty minutes for this. Collect your bag - which had been carefully packed the night before - and turn in your keys. A particularly difficult family ahead of you and an excruciatingly slow computer decided against your twenty minute window.

Ten minutes behind schedule.

“Did you hear?!” You exclaimed, eyes and smile as wide as they could be as you ran into Matt and Jeff’s locker room

“You realise we could have been getting changed right?” Your brother in law Matt said lying on the couch

“It’s not like I haven’t seen it before. Remember a couple of years ago in London?” You smirked at him remembering a drunken Matt coming into your and Jeff’s hotel room after a hectic night out and somehow ended up on your couch butt naked.

“I thought we agreed not to talk about that” Matt cringed at the memory

“Anyway did you hear?!”  You repeated

“What?” Jeff asked packing his stuff back into his bag

“Payback, triple threat ladders match for the woman’s championship, Bayley, Alexa and yours truly” you grinned

“Congrats girl!” Matt cheered but Jeff stayed quiet

“What’s wrong?” you frowned at Jeff

“Nothing” he shrugged

“Jeffrey Nero Hardy” you cross your arms and give him a look

“It’s just… ladder matches can be dangerous and you’ve never been in one before. I don’t want you to get hurt”

“Hello! I have two of the greatest ladder match wrestlers in the world and 2 weeks to prepare” you grinned

“Who said we would help you?” Matt asked

“Well, husband” You said pointing to Jeff “And London 20-”

“Say no more” Matt held his hands up “She’s good”

“Why do you think I married her?” Jeff smirked walking over to you

“So you’ll help me?”

“I guess so”

Over the next two weeks, if you weren’t at raw or a house show, Matt and Jeff were showing you moves to use in your triple threat match. The boys taught you a number of moves - including Jeff’s signature swanton bomb.

“Now the difference between jumping off a ladder and the top rope is obviously its higher meaning more force, also meaning less room for error” Jeff said as Matt set up a ladder for you

“When you’re up the top you can’t waste any time. Once you’re up there you have to go for it, otherwise your fear will take over. The more time you take the more time your opponent has the chance to move” Matt said

“But you still need to take your time to be safe” Jeff reminded you

“I know you’ve told me a million times”

The raw before Payback you were excited. You hadn’t been on raw long, only since the superstar shake up and you were already in the title hunt. You were walking backstage to find Jeff. You saw him around the corner but you were knocked the ground and attacked by Alexa.

“You think cause the Hardy’s are in your corner you’re gonna win?! Well you’re wrong!” she screeched as she threw you into walls and tables. Jeff ran to you with ref’s who pulled Alexa away from you.

“So much for keeping us off raw” You mumbled as Jeff helped you off the ground and to the trainers to check you over.

“You’ll be fine, not broken ribs. Just rest for a couple of days” he said

“So I’m fine for Sunday?”

“Yep but I will tape you up for your match considering its a ladder match” the trainer said

“Should she really wrestle?” Jeff asked worried all over his face

“Don’t listen to him” You said “Thank you”

“I just don’t want you to get hurt” Jeff said wrapping his arms around your waist walking behind you

“I’ll be fine, just gotta rest before Sunday”

Sunday came quicker than you expected. You got a couple more training sessions in despite Jeff trying to get you to rest. Jeff and Matt won their match, keeping their titles so now it was just your match.

“Good luck Kid” Matt said hugging you in gorilla

“I’m coming with you” Jeff said

“What happened to keeping us away from the wwe?” you raised your eyebrows

“Alexa kinda ruined that didn’t she” Jeff said “Plus I want to be there if you hurt yourself”

“Thanks for the confidence babe” you rolled your eyes. Walking out the crowd went mad seeing Jeff walk out behind you.

“Wreck her babe” Jeff called to you as Alexa got in the ring. The match started and you went to town on Alexa but both Bayley and Alexa targetted your taped ribs, not that you blamed them. You would have done that same if you were them. Bayley brought the first ladder in. She set it up before you knocked her to the ground. You smirked at Jeff and climbed the ladder. You were about to jump for a swanton but Alexa kicked the ladder out from under you. You flipped anyway hoping to at least hurt Bayley. But as you landed you fell awkwardly on your neck. You heard the crowd gasp. And Jeff yelled at you from the outside. You opened your eyes, you couldn’t feel anything at first but quickly got the feeling in your hands again and then your arms and legs. Bayley and Alexa were still fighting as ringside doctors checked you over.

“I’m fine” You mumbled as lights were shined in your eyes

“I don’t know if you should continue” Dr Samson said

“I don’t care what you say, I am continuing this god damn match” and you did much to the distaste of the doctors but more importantly Jeff. While you continued her argued with the doctors telling them to pull you out of the match. You spent the match listening to Jeff call to you. You did more moves off ladders and the ropes. Jeff didn’t breath for the entire match. Finally, you got both Alexa and Bayley out of the ring with a ladder in the ring, you quickly climbed the ladder and grabbed the title. The bell rang, the crowd went wild and Jeff slid in the ring. You jumped down ladder, your hands were still tingling and your neck was extremely sore, you fell to the ground - legs finally giving way.

“Holy shit” Jeff mumbled wrapping his arms around you. “are you okay? What the hell y/n! You should have stopped”

“I’m fine”

“I’ve known you long enough to know when you lying” Jeff sighed kissing your head and hugging you tighter “Please don’t ever do that to me again”

“I’m sorry, I just had to keep going”

“I know…I know… congrats champ” Jeff smiled “Now get your butt to the trainers to get checked out”

Birthday Secret [Jason Todd x Reader]

A/N: HAPPY BIRTHDAY JO @memento-scribet !!!!! I saw your day wasn’t the best but I hope this may make you feel a bit better. It has your two favorite things, Jason and French Fries! I hope the rest of your special day is the all time greatest! Love you!! <33

It was that time of the year again. A very special day had made an appearance, your birthday! The amazing day that you came into this world, and Jason was grateful for this day more than anyone. Who knows where he’d be without you around?… Don’t answer that.

Any who, Jason had to do something special for you. He loves you to the moon and back, but how could he show that to you?

That’s when the light bulb turned on. Oh, did he have a plan, a very very special plan.

As you slept that morning Jason slipped out of bed quietly getting ready to put his plan into motion. However you were still passed out, completely unbeknownst to his absence.

Before the sunlight began to stream in through the windows, lightly pulling you awake. You probably would’ve fallen back asleep if you hadn’t heard the sound of a pan falling to the floor and a string of expletives run out of a certain boyfriend’s mouth.

Laughing you got out of bed and found him with a hand over his mouth, having tried to stop himself. He was hunched over picking up the pan in question. Though it didn’t take him long to give you an innocent smile.

“Whatcha doin?” asking with a certain childish tone. Raising an eyebrow at him with a grin across your face.

“Just making my beautiful girlfriend her birthday breakfast.” He stood up and walked over to you. Wrapping his arms around your waist and yours went around his neck. “Happy birthday” he said before kissing you. Making the smile on your lips grow wider. But you pulled away much to his dismay, “Finish making breakfast. I’m hungry” you laughed before pushing him away.

He only chuckled and shook his head before returning to the meal. You sat up on the counter and watched him. “So what should we do today?” asking as he continued.

“I actually have a few things planned.” He answered while focusing on flipping a pancake. “Like what?”

“I was thinking maybe go to the bookstore, then just take a walk before getting lunch. After that maybe head to the movies and catch that movie you’ve been wanting to see before dinner.” listing the idea he had for the day.

“Beauty and the Beast?!” You smiled widely and he nodded. “I think that sounds like a fantastic day.”

He plated the food before picking them both up. “Yup, so are you planning on eating there or are you going to come to the table like us normal people.”

Rolling your eyes you hopped down saying, “You sound like my mother.” Making him laugh, how you love that laugh.

Both sitting down to eat, randomly talking about things. Him saying he won’t have patrol or anything for the night and that he’s all yours. Making you beam at him.

When finished Jason cleaned up the dishes as you went to get ready for the day. It didn’t take you too long to shower, get dressed, and do your make-up.

When so, you both set out for the book store. Deciding to walk, though when Jason noticed a shiver go through you he detached his hand from yours and instead wrapped an arm around you. Pulling you into his side.

Keeping you warm until entering the small bookstore near your home. The both of you browsing the shelves together, eventually breaking away from the other. You had gone off to find a book you were dying to read recently. Upon finding you slid it from it’s spot and headed over to the cashier.

However, when you took out your money to pay it was plucked from your grasp. “No way” a voice you recognized as Jason say. Turning to see him hand his card to the cashier, “It’s your birthday, you’re not paying for anything.”

“Jay I could’ve paid for it” crossing your arms over your chest. “Not on your birthday” smirking while taking his card back. “Now come on let’s go for that walk” taking your free hand and leading you out of the store.

The walk turned out to be rather short as both your stomach’s growling interrupted it. Your walk ending at a nearby diner with the most amazing milkshakes. You ordering your favorite flavor and Jason saying he’d just steal some of yours. After ordering your lunch, Jason having made sure there were extra fries, you both enjoyed the milkshake. You also explained what the premise of the book you had just gotten was.

“I’ll have to read it when you finish, it sounds good.” he smiled, holding your hand from across the table. “Yeah I honestly think you’ll like it a lot.” taking another sip of the shake.

“Yeah I –” Though his sentence was cut short by his phone ringing. He pulled it from his pocket and checked the screen, “It’s Dick I have to take this really quick. I’ll be back in two seconds” saying as he slid out of the booth. As he left you cracked open the book to start it as he took the call.

“Hey Jay, so we’ve got things going pretty smoothly here. Roy just went out with Kori to get the cake but everything should be set for after the movie. Just wanted to give you an update.” Dick’s cheery voice spoke on the other end of the call.

“Great, glad to here. She’s going to love it.” Jason smiled, his voice almost sounding as happy as Dick’s. Which honestly surprised his brother.

“Yeah, any suspicion going on at that end?”

“Nope, we’re all good. But I’ve got to get back, thanks for the update” Jason said quickly before ending the call.

When he came back he found you already eating one of the many baskets of fries and your nose in the book. He sat down across from you again “Any good?” he asked, which had startled you.

“Sorry” he laughed “I didn’t mean to scare you” taking your hand again. “It’s okay, everything alright with Dick?”

“Yeah, he just had a question. But let’s eat I’m starving” picking up some fries himself.

The both of you didn’t really talk much while eating because you were both rather hungry. But finishing in time to catch a showing of Beauty and the Beast that Jason had planned for. During the movie he had his arm around you the entire time, occasionally hearing you hum along to familiar songs.

When it was over you had the biggest smile on your face, ranting about how good it was. So caught up in your own talking you hadn’t realized you were almost back to your humble abode. “I thought we were going to dinner?”

“We are I was just going to drive because of how cold it’s supposed to get tonight. And I want to stop by the Manor really quick to grab somethings.” taking note of how you could see his and your own breath due to the dropping temperature. “Yeah good idea”

Hopping in the passenger seat of Jason’s car you picked out the music. Saying how it was your birthday and it was only fair. Jason raised his hands in defeat and let you blare your playlist. Of which you both jammed to the entire ride.

Sadly having to end one of your favorite songs halfway through because you pulled up to the Manor. Both getting out of the car and walking up to the door. Jason using his key to get in, you found it strange to find a certain Alfred missing. Though you pushed the thought out of your head, figuring he was helping Bruce in the cave or something.

Walking in to find the Manor dark and motionless. Where was everyone?

Walking in farther, going into the living room first. But you about jumped out of your skin when the lights all turned on and everyone yelled a loud ‘SURPRISE!’ at you. You basically jumped into Jason’s arms before letting out a laugh.

“Holy Shit guys! What? Who?” confusedly asking while looking at all the familiar faces of your and Jay’s family and friends.

“Give ya one guess” Roy nodded to a certain boyfriend behind you. Turning to find Jason with a smug smirk on his face. “So that’s why you were so organized today” hitting his arm.

“Ow, that’s what I get for throwing you a party?” Fake wincing at the blow. “No that’s what you get for scaring the hell out of me” laughing before continuing “This is what you get for the party” pulling his lips to yours. Getting a whistle from who you assumed was Roy.

Pulling away you began to hug everyone there. A wide smile on your face as Jason just watched contently. Happy to see you enjoying yourself. “Not bad little bro” Dick placed a hand on Jason’s shoulder. “She really brings out your soft side” this time teasing.

Jason rolled his eyes before laughing. “Yeah, maybe you should take some advice from us. Perhaps you’ll actually keep a girlfriend” he answered back.

“Ouch” Dick winced before laughing.

Upon leaving Dick, Jason came up behind you and wrapped his arms around you. “Having fun?” whispering in your ear. Giggling you answered “Yeah, the chili cheese fry table was a nice touch” turning to face him.

He smiled, “Good birthday?” resting his forehead on yours.

You kissed him after giving him a beaming smile and answering “the best.”

Crowd Goes Wild

Summary: Sami comes home early to find you dancing in the kitchen in his shirt and your underwear. Fluff and smut ensue.

*             *             *             *

It was a Sunday morning, and you had just barely opened your eyes. Sunlight was streaming in through the small crack in the curtains. You sighed and turned your head towards Sami’s side of the bed. You sighed when you realized that he wasn’t there. He was on the road doing a string of shows with WWE. He wouldn’t be home for another two days.

You had lived with Sami for a little under a month. He had asked you to move in, and initially, you were scared. You would be packing up your life and moving not just to another city, but another country, to live with Sami. You had your worries. Sami wasn’t home all the time, which meant you would be left at home more often than not in a city you didn’t really know. But Sami assured you that you would be safe. And living with Sami meant you got to see him two nights a week rather than two nights a month.

When Sami was home, it was great. You couldn’t be happier. You were living with the man of your dreams. What could be better than that? But it was harder when he was gone. You were in a big house, by yourself, in a city where you didn’t know anyone. You didn’t have girlfriends you could call up to go shopping or get your nails done. You didn’t have anyone to go downtown to have a drink with. You went to work and then came straight home. It was a dull routine but one that you accepted because it meant more time with Sami. And you knew your family and old friends were only a phone call or Skype call away when you needed them.

You laid your head down on Sami’s pillow smiling as the faint smell of his shampoo filled your nostrils. You closed your eyes, hoping to get a little more sleep before you had to get up. It was no use, though. After laying there and trying to fall asleep for twenty minutes, you realized you weren’t going to go back to sleep anytime soon.

You pulled the blankets off yourself and made your way into the bathroom. You took a long relaxing shower and then pulled on a pair of red lace panties and one of Sami’s t-shirts. Since it was just you at the house, you didn’t bother to put on pants.

You made your way downstairs to the kitchen. You started a cup of coffee in the Keurig and leaned against the counter as you scrolled through Twitter and Instagram as your coffee brewed.

You had just finished looking at Instagram posts a bunch of the Superstars and Divas had posted from a bar last night. You smiled when you saw one Sami posted of him and Kevin. Despite their on-screen hatred of each other, in real life, the two of them were closer than brothers. So much so, that Kevin was one of the very few people that had a key to your house. Kevin had his arm draped around Sami’s shoulders and they both looked genuinely happy, a sight you loved to see.

You added some cream and sugar to your coffee and took a sip just as a growl came from your stomach. You decided to make yourself some breakfast. You walked over to the fridge and got the carton of eggs out along with some bacon. You turned the stove on and carefully placed the bacon into one pan and cracked a few eggs into the other.

You opened Spotify on your phone and began to play some Metallica, a band you loved thanks to Sami. You started to rock out and dance as you got more and more into the music. It began with a slight head bob and turned into a full on rock out session in the middle of the kitchen.

You heard a chuckle from behind you along with some clapping. You froze. Who was in your house? And how had they gotten in? The front door was locked, you were sure of it. Only Sami, Kevin, and Sami’s mom had a key to your house. Sami and Kevin were in another state for work, and it was too early for Sami’s mom to come over.

“And the crowd goes wild! Let’s hear it for Y/n, the sexiest breakfast making girlfriend in the world!” You heard that all too familiar voice say as you felt the blush creep to your cheeks in embarrassment.

Your lips curved into a smile as you spun around and saw Sami leaning against the doorway of the kitchen with a big grin on his face.

You ran over to him and jumped into his arms, wrapping your arms around his neck and your legs around his waist. He put a hand under your butt and on around your lower back to support you as you buried your face into his shoulder. You clung to him like your life depended on it. It had been two long weeks without Sami. He wasn’t able to come home last week because it was too far to travel back home.

He stood there with you in his arms for a few minutes as the two of you enjoyed just being able to hold each other again. It felt so good to have his arms around you again. It felt like you were at home in his arms for the first time in two weeks. You took a deep breath as you smelled the cologne radiating off his chest.

“Why didn’t you tell me you were coming home? I would’ve picked you up.” You said.

“I wanted to surprise you.”

“I didn’t even hear you come in.” You said. “You about gave me a heart attack.”

“I’m sorry, baby.” He said as he set you back down on your feet but made sure to keep his arms around you. “I enjoyed the show, though. My sexy girlfriend rocking out to one of the greatest bands in the world in my shirt and those cute little panties that don’t cover anything…it was quite a show.” He said with a smirk.

“It’s so embarrassing.” You said as you hid your face in his shirt so that he couldn’t see you blushing.

“Babe, that was not embarrassing…It was actually kind of sexy.” He whispered. He then moved his lips down to your neck. He placed his lips on the sensitive spot as the base of your neck and gently sucked on it.

You leaned your head back to give Sami more access as a sigh escaped your lips.

“I missed you.” He whispered as he pulled away from your neck to look at you.

“I missed you too.” You said. You felt his hands slide down your sides to rest on your hips.

“Think we could put breakfast on hold for just a little bit?” He asked.

“Depends. What do you have in mind?” You asked.

“Making up for all the nights I wasn’t home to make love to you.” He said.

Your lips curved into a smile. “I think we can postpone breakfast for that.”

He walked over to the stove and turned it off before lifting you into his arms and carrying you down the hallway to the bedroom.

He gently laid you on the bed, and you noticed that his eyes caught something about you. You turned your head to see what he was looking at. His eyes were locked on something on your nightstand, but you weren’t sure what it was.

“What are you looking at?” You asked.

“That picture from NXT the night I won my first championship.” He said. “It wasn’t there when I left.”

“Oh…um, yeah. I wanted a picture of us by the bed so I put it there. Is that okay?” You asked.

“More than okay.” He said. “You remember that night?”

“Yeah. I do.” You said as you smiled at the picture. In the picture, Sami was sweaty from his hard-fought win, but he looked so proud as one arm held the title over his shoulder while the other was wrapped around you. You had slid into the ring to congratulate him and were the second person to embrace him, right behind Kevin.

You looked up at Sami and couldn’t help but smile. You still couldn’t believe he was actually home. He crawled onto the bed and placed his hand on your cheek. Slowly, he leaned down and pressed his lips to yours. You closed your eyes, and savored the taste of his lips. You wrapped your arms around his neck, pulling him closer to you. Sami’s hands moved to your waist as he held you tightly.

His tongue ran over your bottom lip, asking for entrance.  Your lips parted, and his tongue quickly found its way inside your mouth. You ran your hands down his shirt, stopping at the hem to pull it off. His hands reached for the hem of his t-shirt you were wearing and quickly made work of pulling it off you. His tongue ran over his lips as his eyes roamed your nearly naked from in front of him.

“God I’m one lucky guy.” He said.

He climbed off the bed and unbuttoned and unzipped the jeans he was wearing and slid them down his legs. He then crawled back on the bed and slid his hands up your thighs as he leaned down and pressed his lips to your neck. His hand slid to your lace covered core, and he began to rub circles against your clit through the material. A soft moan escaped your lips as you felt the knot in your stomach start to form.

It had been two weeks since you had been touched and it felt incredible to have Sami’s hands on your again.

He began to gently suck on your spot as his fingers pushed the material of your panties to the side and he slipped a finger into you.

Your back arched off the back at the feeling of his finger pumping in and out of you.

“S-Sami,” you moaned out.

“Feel good, baby?” He asked before adding a second finger.

“Y-yes.” You said as you closed your eyes and leaned your head back against the pillow.

One of your hands ran through Sami’s hair as the other slid down and began to palm him over his boxers. He groaned, and once he was fully hard, you slipped your hand underneath the material and started to pump him.

“I need to be inside you.” Sami groaned out as he pulled his hand out from your panties and quickly slid them off you. He climbed off the bed to pull his boxers off. He reached down and grabbed your legs and wrapped them around his waist and positioned himself at your entrance.

He paused for a moment and looked at you, almost as if asking if it was okay.

“Please, Sami.” You said as you lifted your hips up to try and relieve some of the tension.

He slowly pushed himself in until he was all the way in.

“You’re so tight, baby.” He groaned out as he closed his eyes. He paused for a few moments before sliding out and pushing back in. You dug your nails into his back as his thrusts got deeper and deeper.

His thrusts were going at a steady pace, you could already feel the knot forming in your stomach. He had one hand on your hip and the other holding himself up near the side of your head. You felt your muscles start to burn and you felt that knot tightening inside of you.

“I’m gonna come, baby.” Sami breathed out.

“I’m almost there.” You replied.

Sami’s hand slid from your hip to rub figure eights on your clit. That was the final thing you needed. You felt yourself go over the edge as your orgasm hit you and you released on Sami’s dick.

A few moments later Sami hit his high, and you felt him still as he released hot spurts inside you. He pulled out and rolled over onto the bed next to you. You both laid there on your backs looking up at the ceiling with heavy breaths and a layer of sweat on your bodies.

“Welcome home, Sami.” You finally managed to say.

He smiled and rolled onto his side to face you. He reached out and ran his thumb across your cheeks.

“I love coming home to this.” He said before he leaned in and pressed a gentle kiss to your lips.

Summary: Soulmate!AU, where a person sees color once they meet their soulmate. Y/N stumbles across Lin in a park.

Pairing: Lin x reader.

A/N: Wow, I’m really bad at summaries. Hopefully you guys enjoy it!

With your camera strapped around your neck, backpack slung over your shoulder, and layers of clothing to protect you from the icy chill of Chicago, you made your usual trek to the park near your apartment. It was a blessing that the temperature was in the double-digits since it was in the middle of December. You hoped that the creatures in the park were in the mood to come out and play – they were usually the main pieces in your photographs.

You pause at the crosswalk and scan the near-empty park. There were several people jogging, but other than that, it was peaceful. Every once and a while you saw a squirrel scamper across the field. You felt your hands tingle in anticipation of the photos you’d take today.

For someone who saw the world in monochrome, the idea of having a career as a photographer was bizarre.

But you were damn good at it. So good that some of your pieces were hung in the MOCA museum in Downtown Chicago.

You didn’t need to find the elusive soulmate that everyone spoke of. You didn’t need color in your life; you were perfectly comfortable with the black and white world that you’ve known since you were little.

You shake your head at your mental tirade and was thankful that the light to the crosswalk changed. You quickly walk over to the park and let out a sigh of contentment, the familiarity of the environment silencing your thoughts.

You take a few test shots, adjusting the settings to make sure that the lighting in your pictures were to your liking. You wander around the area, taking pictures of the landscape and the squirrels and ducks that were nice enough to stay still for you.

After a quick change of your camera lens, you begin to take random pictures of the people in the park.  The joggers didn’t seem to be happy about it, putting their head down or giving you a side-eye when they realized your camera was pointed at them. You took pictures of the couples that sat on benches, drinking their morning coffee and quietly chatting amongst themselves.

From the corner of your eye, you see a man dressed in a stylish long coat facing the fountain in the middle of the park. He had his phone next to his ear and a coffee cup in hand.

What was a city boy doing here?

You step back and bring your camera to your face, wanting to take a picture of the stark contrast of his frame against the rural environment.

The minute you take the picture he turns.

It all happened so fast.

Your world, once quiet and calm, was now loud.

You drop your camera, stunned.

The grass, littered with leaves were beautiful shades of green, brown, orange, and red. The sky, with the sun peeking over the horizon, filling the world with hues of pink and orange, was breathtaking. You didn’t even know you were shaking until you brought a hand up to brush away the tear that slipped down your cheek.

Rushed footsteps snap you out of your daze and you felt your heart drop to your stomach when you see the man come towards you.

Oh shit.

Panic shot up your spine, and without a second thought, you knelt down to pick up your camera from the ground. You spun on your heels and began to briskly walk away.

“H-hey what are you… You’re not supposed to be running away!” the man yells.

You closed your eyes, still blurry from your tears, and willed your legs to move faster.

You weren’t ready for this.

“Wait! You can’t expect me to give up, not when I,” the man trails off, voice raspy and thick with an emotion that you were all too accustomed to: longing.

…Not when you’ve been waiting for me all your life.

You sniff, the fight leaving your body.

During high school, you were like every other teenage girl. Your mind made up scenarios of the day where you would meet your soulmate. Whether it be where the two of you would meet in a crowded train or in one of the quiet corners of the library, it always ended up with you and him kissing each other and having a happily ever after.

But it didn’t happen.

You kept the hope all throughout your college years. But during your senior year, where one by one, every single one of your friends found their soulmate, your hope began to dwindle.

You’ve made your peace with the idea that you were not going to find your soulmate, but now with him standing right behind you, it’s more than you could take.

You stop walking.

He stops and after a moment of hesitation, maneuvers himself so he stands in front of you.

“My name is Lin.”

You stare at him, your soulmate! – your mind screams – and your hands began to tingle with the sudden need to take a picture of him. Large, twinkling brown eyes framed by impossibly long lashes, long hair pulled into a ponytail, a five o’clock shadow, and nose red from the winter chill…

He was perfect.

He shifts, “And you? What’s your name?”

“Y/N. My name is Y/N,” you reply.

“Y/N,” he repeats with a shaky voice, and your heart soars in response.

Lin shakes his head in amazement. “Who knew that I’d finally meet you once I decide to travel outside of New York City?”

Your perk up. “New York? You’re from New York?”

“If you mean the greatest place in the world, yes,” he grins.

You squint your eyes at him. “I think you’re mistaken. Chicago is the greatest place in the world.”

He throws his head back and laughs. “Touché,” he concedes, placing his hand on his heart.

A silence settles over the two of you.

You both laugh at the same time, both in amazement and wonder at how comfortable you were with each other.

You glance at his hands, phone tucked away and the coffee cup missing. He notices and sheepishly smiles.

“I accidentally dropped my cup when, you know, it happened,” he explains, gesturing to you.

You show him your camera, wincing when you finally took a chance to inspect it and saw a crack in the lens. “I dropped my camera,” you add, running a hand down the damage.

“So you’re artistic too,” he hums, making you feel tiny at his suddenly scrutinizing eyes.

Lin grins and brings out a worn notebook. “The main reason why I’m here is because of this,” he explains.

Your curiosity piques. “What is it?”

A gust of wind makes Lin shuffle. “Buy me coffee and I’ll tell you all about it,” he says.

“You owe me a camera lens.” You huff, crossing your arms across your chest.

He laughs merrily and you fight the impulse to smile.

“I know a coffee shop a couple blocks from here,” you say, “they make great lattes.”

He holds his hand out. “Well, shall we?”

You shyly slip your hand into his, your throat feeling tight. You share a look with him, relieved to see his eyes shining with unshed tears.

Years and years of waiting and feeling empty were now gone with his simple touch.

Lin gives your hand a soft squeeze.

You felt complete.

Your once monochrome world was no more and you were ready to experience it with Lin by your side.

thisbirdhadflown  asked:

I've seen this prompt making the rounds: accidentally (REALLY!) sending a dick pic! Can you do this with Hartwin?

(in an AU where Kingsman really is jut a tailorshop and Eggsy works there and really fancies his boss, Harry, who sort of likes him back)

“Oh no,” Eggsy whispered.

“Hmm? What’s wrong?” Jamal asked.

“Um–I–I think–I accidentally–um–n-nevermind.”

Jamal and Ryan exchanged a confused look, but said nothing. Eggsy was acting very strange lately. Something to do with his new boss. They didn’t like to ask.

Eggsy fired off a text, then hid his phone in his pocket again and sat there, staring at his beer, looking for all the world like his world was ending.

Harry blinked as his phone buzzed. He was going through the accounts, and had left it on vibrate. Picking it up, he frowned at the number that showed. Did he know anyone with that number? Oh, yes, young Gary. Why would he be texting Harry, and at this time of night?

He opened his messages. There were actually two messages; one was multimedia, one was text. He opened the text first.

pls disregard that last msg, sir.

He frowned harder. Curiosity was always his greatest weakness, however; and so he opened the other message.

“Wee! Wee! Calm down!” Mum ordered, shocked by the tears on Eggsy’s face. “What happened? Why would you be fired?”

“I accidentally sent my boss a dick pic!” he wailed. “I wanted to send him a picture of JB but I accidentally sent him a dick pic! He’s gonna have me murdered or somethin’, I know it!”

Mum stared at him. Then she snorted.

“It’s not funny!”

“Of course not, love,” she soothed. Then she burst into laughter, and hugged her growling son. “I’m sure you can explain to him next you see him. He sounds like a decent bloke.”

Eggsy grumbled, still upset, but not shouting or crying anymore. He hugged his mother and sniffled a little.

“I hope he doesn’t hate me now,” he mumbled miserably.

“He won’t, love. You made a mistake. That’s all. Now go get ready for dinner.”

Harry stared at the photo for far too long. Then he deleted it, like a gentleman.

He felt decidedly less than gentlemanly when he saw Gary the next day and immediately thought of the photo. Gary saw him, turned beet-red, and scurried to the back, studiously avoiding eye-contact. Harry pretended not to see him. It would be best for all involved if the incident was forgotten.

The Problem With The Walking Dead - Why Ratings Are Dropping Like Flies

I’ve gone over this before, but my biggest problem with The Walking Dead is that the show has very much lost sight of its overall goal. I’m not talking about season to season, because each season has a goal. I’m talking about the entire show’s overall goal, the main goal of the whole story. From my understanding, the main goal in The Walking Dead’s graphic novels has always been for Rick to get to Washington, D.C., but the show doesn’t emphasize this fact. The closest the audience gets to Washington, D.C. is with Abraham Ford, Rosita Espinosa, and Eugene Porter. Abraham originally wanted to find a cure or at least answers for the outbreak by taking Eugene to Washington, D.C.

Abraham is very much an audience surrogate, which means that he’s “a character who expresses the questions and confusion of the audience, with whom the audience can identify” (source). Another reason that I believe Daryl Dixon is a popular character is because he also tends to act as an audience surrogate, asking the questions the audience would be asking, and feeling how the audience is feeling. Daryl has always been a voice for the audience, especially for the audience’s frustrations, even Glenn to a degree was able to voice the audience’s thoughts by saying to Rick (stuck in a tank) once, “Hey you. Dumb ass. Yeah, you in the tank. You cozy in there?”

The Walking Dead has always been a show about hopelessness. Typically, killing off characters who represent hope. It’s also been a story about humanity versus survival. Do we have to sacrifice our morality, everything that makes us human to survive? The tragedy about killing off Abraham early on is that he does represent that main goal in the story that gets pushed aside so often. In fact, before Abraham and Eugene the closest fans ever came to finding out real answers about the group’s situation was from Dr. Edwin Jenner at the CDC, who briefly informs Rick about the walkers, “It’s in our blood, we’re all carriers.” This subject is never touched upon again. Robert Kirkman, the creator of The Walking Dead has made it clear that, that’s not the story he wants to tell. Apparently, the show is not too keen on giving any answers. The tragedy being a fan and audience member of The Walking Dead is when we only get a flicker of light, a glimpse of hope from characters like Abraham and Dr. Jenner before the hope is completely taken away from us. This sense of hopelessness does work to the show’s advantage, because it’s an apocalyptic, zombie (walker) show. As an audience member, we’re feeling that same sense of hopelessness that the characters are feeling. However, after a period of time it feels redundant. It often leaves fans unfulfilled, because it is not a show that gives very many answers.

Perhaps Kirkman is trying to say something about hopelessness, but fans never know exactly where he’s going with the story and characters. What is known is that the show is almost entirely character driven. Fans watch the show because we care about the characters. That is because the actors are that good. The actors are literally carrying the show and that’s a heavy burden. Fans don’t watch the show because they care about the overall story, because there is no clear goal. I have no doubt that the show’s characters will eventually arrive at Washington, D.C. What I do doubt is that the audience will be given answers to questions they’ve had since season one. Questions such as, why did the world go to shit? What created the walkers? Is there a cure? What is happening in Washington, D.C.? Answers we may never know.

My biggest problem is that the show is not rewarding and that is a problem when you’re a television show. After the season six finale it’s clear that the show runners don’t take criticism well, and they did a grave disservice to all the actors in the finale’s deaths scene. The greatest disservice was to actors Steven Yeun and Michael Cudlitz, chopping up their performances by separating the deaths scene into two different episodes. This was only so the show runners, writers could have a “surprise,” even at the cost of the actors performances and respect for their character deaths.

Loyal fans have dedicated their time to this show and time they can’t get back. You have to keep your audience at least somewhat happy. As a fan of the show, you can dedicate years of your life to it and that’s exactly what many fans have done for The Walking Dead. Fans deserve to be somewhat satisfied. The problem with The Walking Dead is that its lost its sense of purpose. It is hardly ever a rewarding show. That is its biggest problem. That is why the ratings are dropping. You have to respect your audience when it comes to a television show and all I have ever seen from the show runners is disrespect. I’ve never seen a fan base more disrespected than The Walking Dead fan base. It’s really no wonder that fans are upset. It should be no surprise that the ratings are dropping. When ratings drop, they almost never go back up again.

Justlex With Bi!Alex and Pan!Justin at Pride

Request: hi! i was wondering if i could submit a request for pan!justin with bi!alex at a pride event?? (idk how to make that into a headcanon but please & thank you if you are able to make some for it!)

A/N: I really hope this is okay :) I should also mention this is an AU.

Warnings: None.

Justlex With Bi!Alex and Pan!Justin at Pride…

  • Okay so Alex and Justin are together for nearly a year before there’s a pride parade in town

  • They’d always spoken about going to one, but when this was announced neither of them mentioned it
  • It was understandable that they were both a little nervous. This wasn’t just their first pride together, it was their first pride overall

  • It was hard to ignore when everyone kept talking about it at school- particularly their group of friends, and especially Hannah Baker
  • She was the one that rounded them up to go. She knew they were nervous, she had been too for her first parade, but it was okay, she was going to show them the ropes

  • Justin and Alex still hadn’t spoken about it, but seemed to agree amongst each other that they were going to go together
  • A week before hand Hannah, Ryan and Tony all went shopping for outfits, and Hannah of course dragged the couple along

  • That was when they started to get excited
  • They got a ton of accessories and fake tattoos for the parade, and they were finally discussing the ways they were going to coordinate their outfits

  • When the day finally rolled around the nerves were still buzzing, but they were super excited
  • Justin had stayed the night at Alex’s, and they got ready together exchanging sweet, reassuring kisses

  • The most memorable moment was probably just when Justin was sticking a fake pride flag tattoo to Alex’s cheek. Their eyes met and they both just knew that this is what they wanted every day for the rest of their life
  • With so many heart eyes they obviously got distracted in a make out session

  • And that was only until Hannah barged her way in, not a single non-rainbow thing on her body
  • The boys both laughed at her, and they all drove to the parade together, playing LGBTQ+ music by LGBTQ+ artists

  • The atmosphere alone just left them smiling all day
  • Hannah was great with people, so they met so many new LGBTQ+ people and learnt so much from them in such a short time

  • The amount of photos and selfies they took was insane. All of them so incredibly happy
  • And they honestly just could not stop kissing each other

  • The day just got better with every hour, with the parade beginning as they all stood by and cheered
  • Ryan was sure to show them everything they had to do while they were there, he was obviously a regular like Hannah

  • They got even more fake tattoos during the day, and brought a ridiculous number of souvenirs which included a Pansexual and Bisexual matching set of shirts
  • Alex and Justin were both just excited to feel like they 100% belonged in that moment. It was the greatest feeling in the world to the two of them

  • They made so many memories they’d cherished for forever, and they were always gushing over the photos they’d taken that day
  • And they never, never missed another pride, always in their Pan and Bi labelled shirts and tons of rainbow, and of course with none other than Tony Padilla, Hannah Baker and Ryan Shaver at their sides to help them celebrate

BTS reaction: their idol girlfriend is in a group under YG Ent.

Namjoon would be a proud bitch type. He would tell everyone that his girlfriend is so good that she had passed the YG audition. He would support you since the first moment you entered YG and when you finally debuted he would be worried that everything must be perfect when you’re on stage. Your group is now 2 years old and you’re one of the most famous kpop vocalists so NIKE offered you to be a model for their new female clothing line. At the same BTS were doing their compaign which means you had a chance to pose with Namjoon for one of the biggest sportwear companies.

“Now, beautiful, smile. We have to show everyone how nice we look together ”

“I think your fans won’t be really happy seeing me around you”

“They will love you. Many Armies are in your fandom”

Jin is mommy so he would be worried about your health. He knows how exhausting can be dance practices. He would be too concered about you coming late home and literally fall down because of fatigue. At first, he would want you to leave the company and find another less grueling work, but he would realise that he shouldn’t act like that since he understand how much you wanted to be an idol. So now when he sees you performing on stage with your group, hearing the fans screaming your name he is lowkey fanboying. But he still is worried about your well-being.

“Jagi, have you eaten something?”

“Oh, Jinny, I had no time for lunch”

“I’m on my way to YG with your favourite Caesar salad and some buns”

Suga wouldn’t say many congratulatory words when you entered YG. He would say a simple “Great job” and continue writting text for his new rap song. You wouldn’t be too upset because of that because you know that’s how Suga always acts. Your group after debut won hearts of many kpoper all over the world and now you are known as a ‘rap herself”. Suga would be secretly proud that his girlfriend is also a rapper with her own unique style. Once, during Gaon Chart Awards famous rappers battled with each other to show their rapping skills. As a rapper you had to take part. Your opponent was the greatest Min Suga himself.

“So, Jagi, let’s see what you can do against me”

“OK, but don’t leave me because I’m better”

“Prove that serious statement”

When you two were rapping one after one the audience were sitting with open mouthes. Noone expected such an intense competition. Now you two are called as CL and GD of the new generation.

J-Hope would be even more happy than you when you told him that you are going to debut in a new YG girl group. He imagined himself on one stage with you when both your groups are recieving daesung and as is known dreams are becoming truth. It is 2 years since your debut and you are on MAMA. All idols of 94 line are prepairing to perform with a special dance. Among those idols are GOT7′s JB, EXO’s Kai, KARA’s Jiyoung, A PINK’s Naeun, GOT7′s Jackson and Jinyoung, Miss A’s Suzy, f(x)’s Krystal and of course Hoseok and you.

“Y/N~ya, are you ready to go on stage”

“I’m a little bit afraid that I would forget some moves”

“You will do great. And remember, when you are with me, you should be afraid of nothing”

When Jimin heard about you joining to YG he was on the seventh heaven. He would teach you how to dance and sing properly and be not afraid to perform in front of thousands of people watching you. He would be a great help. When you debuted the knowledge he gave you was so needed. Your group kept in the top of search queries on Naver. You were invited guests on many TV shows like Weekly Idol and Running Man. And because of your great fame you were offered to be MC of Inkigayo together with Jimin and Minhyuk of Monsta X.

“Thank you for keeping with us and see you next Sunday”

“Ji Min Y/N” insert here the first letters of your name to get something like JinJiDo

“Jagi, you did amazing today. And your dress, by the way, suites you perfectly”

“Thank you so much, oppa”

“Guys, can you stop being so sweet. I need to find a girlfriend”

Taehyung would be the biggest fanboy of your group. Since te very first moment your first song was relised he would already be learning the words. But not only Taehyung loved the songs of your group. Your fandom got 1 million fans for the year. You were nominated for any awards as a new rising stars. So once you performed on Seoul Music Awards Taehyung was fanboying too hard during your parts.

“That’s my girl on stage. Do it. Do it. You are amazing”

Jungkook would try to keep your relationship in secret, but he failed when doing red carpet interview for Golden Disk Award. He is a fanboy of all YG idols and when his girlfriend became one he was super proud. Your group were asked to appear on the event. You knew that Jungkook was going to be there so you tried to look as beautiful as possible. When you arrived you saw that BTS were talking with the interview about their comeback so you must wait when they will be done. Jungkook didn’t notice you at first, but when Jimin told him that you are looking he quickly turned his head in order to make sure his hyung wasn’t joking. Jungkook were looking in your eyes and whispering to Jimin

“My girl is so gorgeous. Look at her”

“Jungkook, she’s beautiful, but do you want others to notice you strange glance at Y/N?”

Dad!Sirius AU’s

  • When you first find out your pregnant Sirius would freak out a little bit. He would go worryingly quiet, admitting he doesn’t want to be anything like his parents, and what if he is? What if his kids end up hating him just as he had hated his parents so fiercely?
  • You quickly reassuring him he’ll be fine, that he is too much of a good person to be anything like his parents. When Sirius realises this, his concern instantly melts into excitement.
  • Sirius sending an emergency owl to the marauders, telling them to get their arses over to your shared apartment ASAP.
  • “Merlin’s dick, Padfoot? What the fuck’s this all about?” Prongs was panting, having just apparated straight into your living room.
  • “I’M GOING TO BE A FUCKING DAD, FUCK!” He happily exclaims to his friends, when he invited them all over due to the, ‘emergency’.
  • When you begin showing he would love it so much. At night he would be the big spoon, keeping you close against him in a protective manner, all while he caresses your stomach.
  • Trailing kisses down your body to your showing belly and talking to his child to be.
  • He would be such a dork about it. But oh my god it would be the most heart warming thing ever when he says stuff like, ‘Mum and Dad are gonna’ keep you safe little one.’ It was sweet, it was always sweet.
  • Sirius being attached at the hip to you when you round the eight/nine month phase of your pregnancy, doing absolutely everything for you.
  • Sometimes when you both were doing mundane things like watching the TV together on a Friday night, curled up with a bundle of blankets, Sirius would just gaze at you, a loving look on his face. He would be thinking how someone so beautiful, so pure, could end up with someone like him.
  • “Sirius? SIRIUS! Please help your pregnant fiance up.” You grumbled in annoyance, snapping him out of his trance.
  • “Sorry. I was just thinking how bloody lucky I am.”
  • “Well how am I supposed to be mad at you when you say stuff like that!?”
  • Him being kind of grossed out at when the baby kicks, which makes you laugh loudly because, yeah. It did look a bit fucked. But that’s your child and so help you Godric you better take that back.
  • Getting so surprised and freaking his shit when your water breaks, the idiot accidentally turns into his animagus form. Quickly transforming back and muttering out a ‘sorry’, he would apparate you to St. Mungo’s faster than you can say ‘Quidditch’.
  • Sirius screaming at the nurses for help, and bossing them all around.
  • “Why haven’t you given her the Epidural yet!? Why does she still have to walk around!? Someone get her a bloody room!”
  • “Sirius?” You would croak out, hunched over in the most unbearable pain.
  • “Yes Honey?” He would take your hand, looking worriedly at you.
  • “Please, just shut the fuck up.”
  • After finally being transferred to a room, and after a lot of tears, screaming, and swearing from you, you would have finally given birth. Sirius hand would be cramped from how tightly you had been squeezing it, but it had all been worth it.
  • Sirius would take the small child into his arms, instantly breaking down into tears. Happy tears, of course, but the guy was such a mess.
  • When the Marauders show up, Sirius would ask Remus in private to be your child’s Godfather. Remus holding your child, rocking them lightly back to sleep.
  • Sirius Black would be the best father. He would be so good with your child.
  • All I can imagine is Sirius with a little baby girl, rocking her in his arms, signing her some old wizarding song he heard once.
  • Your daughter and Harry growing up together.
  • Sirius Black would be the pushover parent. Whatever his little angel wanted, all she would have to do was bat her lashes and daddy Sirius would fucking melt.
  • This may become problematic.
  • “You can’t hit your cousin! It’ll hurt his feelings.” Sirius tried to be stern with your daughter, but when she starts welling up, he quickly takes her in his arms, hugging her tightly.
  • “Sh, c’mon no more tears, look, we’ll get some ice-cream.” He would try to reason.
  • “Sirius, you can’t condone that behaviour with ice-cream.”
  • “(Y/N)! Look at her!” He whispers, your daughters big eyes wide, and her lip wobbling.
  • You sighing deeply, grabbing your purse. “I’ll get the keys.”
  • Don’t imagine Sirius black giving his child colouring pens to draw inside the lines of his chest tattoos. Don’t do it. It will hurt you.
  • He would tear up the first time showing you, exclaiming how they’re going to be an artist one day.
  • “Sirius it’s beautiful but-”
  • “No. (Y/N) they’re going to be the worlds greatest artist I just- know it.”
  • Coming home from shopping and finding the two lying on the couch, fast asleep, Muggle cartoons playing in the background on the television.
  • Sirius would be so bad at explaining things when she would get older. Periods? NAH. Sex? No way. He would go pale when your daughter would ask him about anything puberty related.
  • “Uh-I what?- I- Go ask your mother!”
  • Being such proud parents when they get their Hogwarts letter, yet at the same time, becoming extremely upset over the fact you both would have to go each term without seeing her.
  • You three would be the most attractive family on platform 9 3/4′s.
  • Your daughter being in the same year as Harry, and would be sorted into Gryffindor too, making friends with all of her housemates, along with (to everyone’s surprise, and some’s disgust) Draco Malfoy. They were sort of cousins after all.
  • “YES! I KNEW IT. HAHA!” Sirius would have been taking bets all year with you which house your daughter would be sorted into. You were convinced she would be a Ravenclaw, but Sirius the little shit just knew.
  • The house would be a lot more quiet without your daughter. You would be making dinner a few nights after your daughter’s departure to Hogwarts, when you would feel secure arms wrap around your waist, stubble brushing against your neck.
  • Sighing happily, leaning back into your husband.
  • “Let’s have another.” Sirius leaving kisses to your neck.

okay so think about the use of silhouettes in marketing the show, now think about how this works for any other visual depiction of the story.

for example: the light that’s required to create a silhouette, and ultimately the darkness that’s also required are two competing factors in lighting that always have to work together. it’s a complex art form in and of itself without even thinking about all the complex characters you’re using it to depict.

the city of new york. the greatest city in the world with a familiar yet oh so foreign skyline of a city before skyscrapers.

watching as alexander and eliza kiss for the first time through drawn shades, a small candle burning and lighting up their early love.

burr’s silhouette standing outside the window of the room where it’s happening, his isolation and disconnection from the action and conversation deeply apparent.

pregnant eliza in silhouette at the beginning of that would be enough.

a roaring fire burning as we watch alexander most certainly not saying no and kissing maria reynolds in silhouette through that very same window.

the silhouette of looking at eliza from behind as she kneels in front of said fire to burn bundles of letters.

weehawken, dawn. the sun is rising and burr and hamilton are in a vague, cloudy silhouette as they raise their pistols.

just…. silhouettes y’all.

“Your timing’s great, man. Have I got a story for you.”

“Let’s hear it!”

“A lot of us grunts were hanging out in the training area yesterday afternoon. Some of us were battling but most of us were just lazing around, me included. Well, all of us had to look like we were doing something when he heard that hearty laugh that we could recognize a mile away.

“When Sir Archie entered the training area, you could feel the atmosphere change. I don’t mean that in a bad way at all — when it was just us grunts it felt like we were just wasting time, but with Sir Archie in the room, you feel like everything you do has a purpose. He just has that effect on you, you know?

“Anyway, he told us he was itching for some battles, and that he wanted to see how we were doing as trainers. You should’ve seen how excited I was — I must’ve stood out like a sore thumb from all the other grunts who were scared about battling Sir Archie.”

“I can imagine why the other grunts were scared, but why were you excited?”

“Why wouldn’t I be excited? Sir Archie, the greatest trainer in all of Hoenn—no, in the whole world—was giving us mere grunts the opportunity to battle him! You have to be crazy to pass up something like that!

“I knew it was gonna be a one-sided battle no matter what. Zuzu, my Zubat, only lasted two minutes against Sir Archie’s amazing Crobat, but that was two minutes more than I deserved. In those two minutes, Sir Archie showed me just how strong he was, but he didn’t belittle me because of his strength—he simply told me to train harder. Basic advice, sure, but coming from Sir Archie, it’s the most useful advice I’ve ever received.

“And train harder I will. I hope your Pokémon’s ready, coz Zuzu’s all fired up!”

I'm begging you all, please please reblog and tag Taylor in this

It just hit me that Taylor’s been with me for over ten years. I can’t believe how much I’ve grown in those years and how much I owe to her.
I was eight when “Taylor Swift” came out. I had just started school, and I was happy, as most eight year olds would be. I listened to it so much even though I couldn’t relate to many songs at all. I loved Our Song. I would always put on the southern accent whenever I would sing it, I loved that song SO much. I would listen to “Taylor Swift” on repeat for days on end.
I was ten when “Fearless” was released. I bought it the weekend after it came out. I remember loving The Best Day soo much. I think that would have to be the first song I ever really connected to. I was bullied in primary school (elementary for you Americans) and the only person who helped me through it was my mum. She always made me happy, especially after coming home from school everyday. The Best Day and Change were my anthems all through school. No matter what I went through, I felt for the first that Taylor was with me through it all.
“Speak Now” came out when I was twelve. I was in my final year of primary school. I was probably the happiest I had ever been. I was a school leader, I moved up to a higher level in my dance classes and I had more friends than ever. My life was really starting to look up, so I thought. I felt so connected with Taylor that year too. I would have “Speak Now” on repeat what seemed like every day after school. Mine, Sparks Fly and Speak Now were my anthems for a good year. Not because I was dating anyone, but because they were happy, like me.
When I was thirteen, I started high school. I went from knowing everyone by name to knowing no-one. None of my primary school friends went to the same high school as I did. I went from a school with a total of 200 kids to a school with over 1,000. It was hard. It was stressful. It was awful. I was relentlessly bullied that year. I didn’t fit in with many people in my year at all. I went from having over 15 friends at school to only being able to count them all on one hand. I wasn’t popular, I wasn’t cool and I wasn’t missed when I’d miss a day. That year was hard for me. I went from being happy to being so distressed all the time. Taylor would always make me happy. I discovered a new side to me that year. I listened to Dear John every day after school. It worked for me, it was a good song for me to cry too. I also rediscovered “Fearless” that year. Change became my favourite song. It spoke to me on a level I’d never be able to explain. I also loved Long Live. In 2011 I had already loved Taylor for five years, which seems like a long time when you’re thirteen! I promised Taylor I would never leave her, because she’d never left me.
In 2012 the album I needed more than I knew came out. “Red” was the thing I needed to keep going. To push on. I was fourteen and life was awful that year. The bullying got so out of hand that I had to move schools. The only good thing that happened that year was that I rekindled with my old primary school friends at my new school.
I didn’t think at fifteen that life could get any worse. In early 2013 I became really ill. It seemed as though I was sick every week, which as a result made me fall behind in my school work and miss regular classes. The doctor finally did a blood and discovered I had CMV. Basically, it’s the same thing as glandular fever. I was constantly tired, and my muscles ached really bad non-stop for three months. It was so bad that I couldn’t continue my studies for a whole term at school. I had CMV on and off for over eight months.
In August 2013, after most of my symptoms had gone I continued experiencing chronic fatigue and achey muscles. The doctor referred me onto a pain specialist who diagnosed me with Fibromyalgia. It means chronic fatigue plus pain everywhere. I had a slightly different case to most people as my pain is a constant 9.5/10. No matter what I did nothing made the pain worse… or better.
I thought about giving up on more times than not, but Taylor saved me, Red saved me. I’ve never been so low in my life but I got through it all thanks to my best friend Taylor and Red. They both got me through so much.
I had missed so much school that I had to be pulled out and study at home via distance education. That was the start of it all.
On December 14th 2013 I attended my first Taylor Swift concert. After eight years of loving her I couldn’t conprehend how lucky I was to be able to see her live for the first time. My older sister took me (even though she’s told me repeatedly she doesn’t like Taylor. How?!?!) In the bathrooms before the show started I had a breakdown. I’m absolutely terrified of guns and bombs and was petrified of something happening during the show. Once Taylor came out, all my worries/anxieties/problems disappeared. Literally. The next two hours were the best two hours of my life. I didn’t stop dancing or singing or screaming out of happiness until the show ended. Even after the show ended I was soo happy and filled with so much adrenaline. I hardly slept that night because I couldn’t believe I just witnessed the girl I’ve loved since I was eight, live on stage doing what she loves.
From that day forward I promised myself I would never stop loving Taylor, because she’s given me so much happiness of which I wish to give back to her as many times as I can.
The following October, “1989” was released. I don’t think I had ever been that excited for an album ever, apart from Red because that was announced and released at the perfect time. The day “1989” came out I was at a very important dance competition, so despite trying, I couldn’t miss it and stay home and just soak in all of “1989.”
My dad has always loved Taylor. He loves that she makes me happy and loves how much I love her, he also knows how great a role model she is. As I was travelling to the competition the “1989” album release day, despite me already having preordered multiple copies of it, he offered to go down to the local CD store as soon as they opened to buy me another copy of it. He was at the store before they opened, and when they opened he was the first customer in the store. He knew straight away where to find it and bought the very first copy of 1989 that store sold.
When I got home from the competition (we placed second in two items in case you’re interested, one of which I had a featured role in) I went straight to my room where all my brand new 1989 cd’s were and put one on straight away. I spent the rest of the day listening to it non stop for over six hours. Just over a year later I began the greatest weekend of my life to date. I was lucky enough to get tickets to the final two shows of the 1989 World Tour, in Melbourne. Even though I didn’t have tickets to the first Melbourne show, I decided to go in anyway as my friends were there and I really wanted to see them all get so hyped before the show. We had a little picnic and heard Taylor sound check Red. (at this point you should know how much that means to me)
The next day I went in early whilst my sister was at school so I could be closer to my favourite people in the world. My friends and Taylor.
Later that afternoon my aunty and sister arrived for the show.
I’ve never been as happy as I was in that moment. I’ve never been able to describe it but Taylor’s Clean speech that night really resonated with me. She has this magical power that makes you feel like it’s just you and her there. Like it’s just you two talking as friends rather than in a stadium full of 30,000 people. I did not stop screaming and crying and dancing that whole night. Then she played “Fifteen” for her surprise song. I screamed so loud because it took me back to 2013, when I was fifteen. It’s actually magical because when I went to the Red Tour she played it, I was fifteen and then at 1989 when she played it my sister was fifteen.
The second night was even better. (I didn’t know it was possible) My sister and I had seats in section D on the floor directly in front of the catwalk. That night was much like the first in the sense that I didn’t stop crying or dancing the entire night. That Clean speech resonated with me so much as well, just because of the point I was at in my life. Then it was time for the “surprise” song if you will. From the first guitar chord she played I knew it was Long Live. I immediately dropped to the floor and started crying like I’ve never cried before. I screamed every single word of it SO loud, because that’s our anthem. I’ve never ever been that happy, ever. I haven’t been anywhere near that happy since then, and I never will until I meet Taylor one day.
That next January everything went down hill again. I had to stop my dance classes and stop studying via distance even. My pain and fatigue had never been more dominant and I was constantly in a world of pain.
Nothing at all has changed since then. My stamina has severely declined and I can no longer go on shopping trips with friends or even go take a walk with my dog at the local park.
I had my 19th birthday just under a month ago and I spent the day watching Journey to Fearless and the Speak Now World Tour live with one of my closest friends then had a night out with my family for dinner. That birthday means so much to me because I was surrounded by (most of) the people I love the most.
Today I’m barely getting by. I’ve never been lower emotionally and never been in so much pain or so tired. I’m so emotionally and physically drained and I’m struggling to find things that make me smile everyday. I’ve never needed Taylor more than I do today which also makes me more thankful for her each and every day. She’s probably the only reason I’m still here today and I’ll never be able to ever thank her enough for that. She’s my best friend, my life, my love and I hope more than anything that one day I get to meet her in person. I hope so much I get to thank her for absolutely everything. Tied Together With A Smile from her debut album “Taylor Swift” is the only song I’ve had on repeat recently in my head recently. Because that’s my life.
There’s this quote I’ve had as my lock screen the past year, “one day someone is going to hug you so tight that all of your broken pieces will stick back together.”
Everything in me believes that will be the case when I meet Taylor, because I feel like she’s the only person who’s always been there for me, no matter what.
As I had to leave school, I eventually drifted away from all my friends there. I don’t speak to any of them anymore. The only friends I have now are those I’ve met online because of Taylor. If it wasn’t for them I wouldn’t be here today which is yet another thing I have Taylor to thank for. Taylor Swift is the only reason I am still here today, and I really hope I get to thank her and hug her in person someday. @taylorswift

fic title: right turn

[or: the motocross au i’ve always dreamed of writing]

alex danvers crashed and burned - literally.

after a terrible accident in the world championships two years ago, both the danvers sisters disappeared from the motocross scene. in the absence, maggie sawyer rose to the top. a true cinderella story - with sawyer speaking honestly and openly about how she was kicked out of the house at fifteen for being gay, how she went to live with her aunt, uncle and cousins and it was her aunt who taught her how to ride. who took her to her first competition.

maggie sawyer is a success story of the greatest kind, but if there’s one thing the people love more than a cinderella story, it’s a comeback.

enter kara danvers.

after two years of near silence from the danver camp, kara shows up unannounced at a local motocross rally. one sawyer happens to be at, and it’s one that sawyer looses.

the motocross world is clamoring for details, but kara danvers is unfailing polite in interviews and speaks nothing of her sister, of the accident, or of the race.

and it’s not that maggie sawyer is angry, she’s curious.

so she visits the danvers’ camp and that’s when she meets alex danvers.

alex danvers who has custom built every bike kara uses. and who barely blinks when maggie knocks on the side of the trailer and goes “holy shit these are sick bikes.”

“i made them.” alex replies “of course they are.”

and cue maggie sawyer definitely not falling in love with her biggest competitors older sister. oh no, not at all.

except she is.

kara and maggie trade off wins across the motocross circuit, always polite, always laughing and good natured in interviews. and maggie ends up with her coach james having drinks with the danvers after rallys. and what’s some harmless flirting. and like, a kiss. just the one. however there’s a storm brewing in the danvers camp, and after kara loses two races in a row in shocking fashion, maggie is concerned.

thrilled, because winning,

but it’s not fun if your biggest competition isn’t racing well. plus, maggie /cares/ or something.

heavy on the something.

turns out kara’s distracted by alex. alex who is trying so hard to be supportive of her sister, and trying so hard to make karas dream come true. but watching kara live alex’s dream? it’s ripping alex apart.

and on the three anniversary of her accident, it’s the biggest rally of the year and kara drops out. says nothing else, but ‘i’m out for this one ’

maggie goes to find her, but only sees winn. resident tech expert for the danvers camp. maggie asks why kara dropped out and winn goes “I know you two are friends, or something, and you get along really well with alex. so, you deserve to know,

alex is missing.”

maggie’s stomach drops out.

she checks her phone and there’s a message from alex,

alex who’s drunk. alex who’s crying. alex who’s saying she’s trying to be a good sister to kara, but watching kara do this is ripping her apart.

maggie has to make a choice.

compete, probably win and secure her legacy as a legend of motocross.

or drop out,

and go find alex danvers.

james tells her the same thing he tells her before every race - trust your gut.

so maggie drops out.

she calls kara, who picks up at once and splutters “but the race,”

and maggie replies “but alex.”

they find alex, eventually. she’s at the track her dad taught her to ride at. she’s sitting there on her back, laid out on the s curve, looking up at the stars and for the first time since the accident, grieving for what she lost.

it isn’t easy after that - alex goes sober, both kara and maggie have to explain to sponsors what happened, why they dropped out.

[it’s ‘personal reasons’ and 'family stuff’]

and basically this is slow burn sanvers, with girls riding bikes and finding a new path after the world ends.

“Sometimes I think of role reversal nygmobblepot where -insert a huge amount of stupid bullshit that portrays Oswald as the most evil person in the whole world vs good little Eddie teddie weddie-”

Lol, you mean Oswald Cobblepot, who still hasn’t done anything to harm Tabitha, who has even offered help to hers and Barbara’s operation, who showed mercy to his greatest rival, who gave mercy to Butch and Tabitha more than once who both betrayed him, who forgave Ed even after he completely desecrated his fathers remains, who has always forgiven Jim Gordon despite how Jim betrayed, used and abandoned him

Who, even after everything Ed’s done, is still apparently able to put aside his pain and hurt to work with him? But yeah the unfathomable evil that is Oswald Cobblepot would be so cruel & worse to poor little Ed. :(

Do yall even listen to yourselves??? Like anything to make yourselves feel better about hating gay guys so much huh

Original ‘Hamilton’ Star Anthony Ramos on His Final Bow, Performing Post-Election & Working With Spike Lee (Billboard):

On Sunday (Nov. 20), actor Anthony Ramos wrapped his epic run in the smash Broadway show and Lin Manuel-Miranda’s cultural juggernaut Hamilton. Since auditioning when the production was merely in its workshop phase, Ramos has enjoyed a front-row seat to theater history playing the dual roles of John Laurens and Phillip Hamilton, two characters that creator Miranda evolved and wrote with him in mind.

As one of the last original cast members to leave the production (only Jasmine Cephas-Jones and Okieriete Onaodowan from the original line-up remain), Ramos is now off to star in the highly anticipated upcoming Netflix series She’s Gotta Have It from Spike Lee.

While the show made headlines this past weekend following actor Brandon Victor Dixon’s message to vice president-elect Mike Pence, who saw the musical with his family on Friday (Nov. 18), Ramos, who spoke with Billboard before the incident, reminisces on Hamilton’s stratospheric ascent into pop culture, the mood at the Richard Rodgers Theater post-election and meeting President Barack Obama.

How does it feel to be wrapping up your time with Hamilton?

A little surreal, but it feels great, man. I don’t regret anything. You know when you leave things and sometimes you say to yourself, “Man, I wish I could have done more?” I don’t feel that way. I feel like I’ve done everything I could, and it feels great. There’s no better time for me to leave than now. I left it all out on stage at the Rogers theater and I’m ready to move on. It feels really good. Bittersweet, honestly.

As one of the last remaining cast members, you’ve experienced others’ final shows, including Lin-Manuel Miranda. What has it been like seeing everyone leave and a new cast takeover?

It feels different when I’m on-stage now because being a part of the original company, you’ve built something with a group of people for an extended amount of time. When those people start to fall off and new people replace them to maintain it, it becomes less about the building and more about the maintenance.

What I’m trying to say is that while I’m meeting new family, there’s nothing like the family that you’ve actually built the thing with and were in the trenches with. The people that are closest to your heart are always the people who were with you when you had nothing. It’s the people who were there when you were planting the seeds and they had their hands in the soil with you. We were all working for 400 dollars a week at the Public Theater and sharing a space downstairs together, so we grew to love each other. That dynamic for me as an original company member is special to me. There’s still so much love in the building, but the vibe is different.

Take me back to your very first show at the Public Theater. What was the mood like? At the time, did it feel special or just another gig?

It’s always been special, never just another gig. The only thing that was going through my mind [during that first curtain call] was, “Thank God I got through that shit. How did that happen just now?” I literally didn’t even know where I was supposed to stand in some scenes but we got through it. The first thing I said was, "Thank you, Jesus” before we did the first bow.

Describe your most memorable show.

Wow, I have to think about this. I have two. One was the show we did for President Obama. We were all so excited. Getting to perform for the leader of the free world was one of the greatest experiences of my life. The energy in the room was different. You felt a presence.

There was something unique about that night, to be on stage and let it all loose for the president. We got to perform this musical about revolution, immigrants, and our founders for the leader of our country. Afterwards he shook my hand and said, “Young man, you are extremely talented.” I was like, “Dude. Wow, bro. Thank you.” The other show was the matinee after the election.

What was that like? The country was in an interesting place that afternoon.

Obviously, there were a lot of emotions. Our company members have been pretty vocal about where we stood in this election. We had a meeting before the matinee and there were tears. We shared words and checked in with each other. There was a lot of anger and frustration. The one conclusion we came to was that you don’t answer anger with more anger. You answer anger with love. You answer anger with selflessness. The answer to anger is always the opposite thing of anger.

This election has sparked a new level of attentiveness and awareness not only in the United States, but in the world. What we were talking about was that we’re blessed to do this show, and we can’t take it for granted. People are coming to see this show for a little piece of hope, and we try to be aware that this isn’t just a show. For the people coming into this theater each night, their lives are vulnerable, fragile and precious, and we have to handle with care. Not only of the people in the theater, but who we come in contact with in person and in life, period. We took all of that into that matinee, which became one of my most memorable performances.

If you would have told me my most memorable performance would have happened two years into my run, I would have been like, “Yeah, right,” but I’d say it was even more special than opening night. The audience is always a part of the show but the audience was never more a part of the show than that day. The most special moment for me in my entire Hamilton run was the moment I came downstage and turned to the three guys and sang, “Raise a glass to freedom, something they can never take away no matter what they tell you” and the audience roared at that line and clapped. That had never happened before. That right there was the moment I said, “Everything’s going to be alright and we’re all in this together, no matter who the president is, and we can never forget that.”

Unlike any other show, Hamilton has had the most incredible array of luminaries and icons coming to experience it. Beyond President Obama, who are some visitors who have stood out to you?

Laurence Fishburne hugged me like he knew me forever. I remember when we were at the Public Theater, Busta Rhymes gave us a 30-minute speech about how our show motivated him and made him rethink what he wants his next album to be like. That was an incredible moment. And Marc Anthony! I’d blast his salsa albums with my mom. He gave me a huge hug and said, “Kid, I’m so proud of you.” That moment was particularly special to me. I think those moments all stood out to me the most.

A Brief History of π

Pi has been known for almost 4000 years—but even if we calculated the number of seconds in those 4000 years and calculated pi to that number of places, we would still only be approximating its actual value.

Here’s a brief history of finding pi:

The ancient Babylonians calculated the area of a circle by taking 3 times the square of its radius, which gave a value of pi = 3. One Babylonian tablet (ca. 1900–1680 BC) indicates a value of 3.125 for pi, which is a closer approximation.

The Rhind Papyrus (ca.1650 BC) gives us insight into the mathematics of ancient Egypt. The Egyptians calculated the area of a circle by a formula that gave the approximate value of 3.1605 for pi.

The first calculation of pi was done by Archimedes of Syracuse (287–212 BC), one of the greatest mathematicians of the ancient world. Archimedes approximated the area of a circle by using the Pythagorean Theorem to find the areas of two regular polygons: the polygon inscribed within the circle and the polygon within which the circle was circumscribed. Since the actual area of the circle lies between the areas of the inscribed and circumscribed polygons, the areas of the polygons gave upper and lower bounds for the area of the circle. Archimedes knew that he had not found the value of pi but only an approximation within those limits. In this way, Archimedes showed that pi is between 3 1/7 and 3 10/71.

A similar approach was used by Zu Chongzhi (429–501), a brilliant Chinese mathematician and astronomer. Zu Chongzhi would not have been familiar with Archimedes’ method—but because his book has been lost, little is known of his work. He calculated the value of the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter to be 355/113. To compute this accuracy for pi, he must have started with an inscribed regular 24,576-gon and performed lengthy calculations involving hundreds of square roots carried out to 9 decimal places.

Mathematicians began using the Greek letter π in the 1700s. Introduced by William Jones in 1706, use of the symbol was popularized by Leonhard Euler, who adopted it in 1737.

An Eighteenth century French mathematician named Georges Buffon devised a way to calculate pi based on probability. You can try it yourself at the Exploratorium’s Pi Toss exhibit.
