the troublesome teenager

Into the Woods

Warning: minor injury, swearing (maybe, I’m not even sure)

A/N: This is the result of @redgillan and me deploring the lack of Bucky in uniform, and then getting way too excited about park rangers. Enjoy!

Y/N loved her students, she truly did. But spending even a minute with thirty of them in a bus was a nightmare. There was something utterly diabolical about groups of eight-year-olds on a field trip and, not for the first time, she wondered what had made her think becoming a teacher was a good idea.

Lucky (to be Alive)

For @minglewithadingle, because, dogs. <3

Robert’s stuck in traffic.

It’s been a hectic week. The scrapyard’s been doing well, which is good, but it’s been seeing Aaron leaving earlier in the mornings and coming home later in the evenings. And Home James has been doing so well that even with Jimmy and Rodney out on haulage runs with the rest of the drivers, Robert’s still been needed to take care of a few himself whenever he’s not been busy charming the clients through the Home Farm contract.

He’s supposed to be down south, now, stopping at a hotel for the night before heading back in the morning, but he’s managed to finish things up much sooner than planned, and he’s heading back home.

Robert checks the time on his phone. 9:47PM. If he’s lucky, he’ll make it back before Liv slinks off to bed, and before Aaron falls asleep. He’s not seen much of either all week, and he’s not ashamed to admit that he misses them. The reason he’s slowly losing his patience as the line of traffic crawls around an accident site up ahead is because he wants to surprise them both, and hopefully manage an hour in front of the telly together.

Darlin' Cowboy: McCree Headcanons

Oh yes. It’s time to talk about one of my husbandos. :3 (I resisted the urge to make this all fluffy stuff)

  • Don’t get me started on this guy and how adorably flirty he is. Oh, he can be smooth and charming when he wants to be, but usually he’s just a cheesy dork who’s all pick up lines and nicknames (darlin’, pumpkin, sweet pea, honeysuckle, sugar, doll, angel, LITERALLY EVERYTHING). He’s genuine too, so you know this is all 100% McCree. Not to mention he’s a full gentleman too.
  • Yes, while chubby McCree gives me life, I imagine he’s got an average body (not to muscled, but not super chubby…but still chubby enough to make him perfect for cuddles).
  • Overwatch became his family when he joined and people sort of subconsciously filled familial roles for him over time. He didn’t exactly have a family (or, he did, but he was too young to really remember them too well) and the closest he’d had to a long time was the Deadlock Gang, so he’d never really experienced having one (much less having a good one). Reyes was the most prominent as a father figure (*cough* with Morrison *cough*) and Fareeha was a little sister (but that was once Ana was fine with her baby hanging around that “juvenile delinquent"…then she kinda became a mother figure).
  • While he might not remember it, that serape of his was given to him by his mother
  • He was such a troublesome and stubborn teenager when he first joined Overwatch, but over time, influence from Reyes turned him around and changed his mind to think he had a chance at a better life. He didn’t have to be an outlaw anymore and could make up for what he’d done.
  • Oh, when he found out that Reyes - the only father figure he ever had - was dead from the Swiss HQ explosion, he was torn apart. He was in denial about it for the longest time, too, thinking there was no way that the Gabriel Reyes he knew could die like that. When it finally sank in that he was dead and wasn’t coming back (in his mind),  Jesse grieved for the longest time. In fact, he felt kinda guilty; he thought that maybe if he hadn’t left before the official disbandment of Overwatch, if he’d stayed behind a little longer, maybe he could have saved him. It’s actually a partial motivation for him still fighting for justice, since that’s what Reyes would want him to do.
  • He loves animals, but has a total weakness for dogs
  • As a teen, his relationship with Mercy was confused. She was always hounding him about his smoking and behavior and actions and literally everything under the sun while he just continued on and didn’t care. This sort of softened when she treated his lost arm and helped attach his prosthetic (made by Torbjörn) where he realized she genuinely cared even through her annoyance at him. They slowly became good friends over time and had actually matured as adults (though she’ll still tease him from time to time).
  • So confident in his skills and appearance, you’ve got no idea. He’ll play the humble card in front of people (though if he’s flustered, it’s much more genuine), but you know he just eats up compliments (such a sucker for compliments).
  • He only knows how to cook breakfast foods (he can’t make a steak to save his life, but he can make the meanest hash browns you’ll ever eat).
  • His whole cowboy look and lines come from spending so much time as a kid watching westerns and pretending he was like those cool sheriffs or roaming heroes
  • While he’s calm and collected on the job with a ton of patience for anyone and any situation, he’s much more emotional and open in his spare time.
  • He knows how to ride a motorcycle and pretends like he knows how to ride a horse (he’s seen horses and he’s been near them, but never ridden one)
  • His most prized possessions are his serape, his hat, and his BAMF belt (oddly enough, Peacekeeper comes in forth even if he doesn’t act like it does)
  • If he’s in a stressful situation or really deep in thought, he’ll either be twirling an unlit cigar or his Peacekeeper in his hand
  • Loves to show off with literally everything he does (he’s not one of the best shots in Overwatch for nothing and will happily prove it to anyone)
  • He can play guitar and likely learned from Reyes (he’s out of practice though now, so he’s pretty rusty). Bonus, he’s a pretty decent singer as well so it’s a nice, relaxing combo when you have both
  • You know how he lives receiving compliments? Oh, this man, this Jesse McCree here, lives giving them even more. He’s received so many reactions and responses to them too and loves every one of them.
  • Just like Fareeha, he’s been to Reyes grave, but only once. He spent the whole day mourning and left flowers on his, Ana’s, and Morrison’s graves in respect (though there was slightly more emotion to leaving them for Ana and Gabriel)
Yomo Renji’s relationship with Kirishima Touka and Ayato.

I said I’d do this a couple weeks ago, so here it is. I know there’s a few people who already talked about this, but a few of you asked me to do my own analysis, so here it goes.

So… first there’s this:

They both liked teasing their little brothers. Also, Ayato and Renji’s expression is exactly the same. Then, Arata mentions that Touka is just like her mother.

After Chunta pecked Touka’s eye, she covered it with her bangs, similar to her mother’s:

Note that her hair looks pretty much the same than Renji’s sister:

We all know that Arata was a Koukaku; both Touka and Ayato are Ukaku, so it’s safe to say that they inherited their kagune from their mother. This is Ayato’s kagune:

And this is Renji’s:

As you can see, those panels look pretty much the same. If Renji is an Ukaku, his sister was too.

The man who gave Renji the notice that his sister was dead looks a lot like Arata:

Finally, here we have Uta talking to Renji; he points out something interesting:

And here, Eto talking to Ayato:

Again, a parallel between Ayato and Renji. I think those are all the parallels and similarities between Renji and his sister with the Kirishimas. The last thing I found was this:

Uta implies that Yoshimura gave something to Yomo (a purpose, something he cared for) that made him change from the troublesome teenager he was to the calm and reliable man we all know. Based on the period of time, I’d say he joined Anteiku around the same time the Kirishimas had to run away from the ghoul investigators:

And we all know Renji cared for them:

  • He asked Itori for information about Ayato after he abandoned Touka, even managing to find out his whereabouts (Itori doesn’t give away information easily).
  • He stopped Touka from going to the Raid.
  • And he formed :re with Touka, even when he didn’t believe Kaneki was still alive.

I know a lot of you won’t believe it unless Ishida-sensei textually say that Yomo is Hikari Kirishima’s brother, but for me all of that is enough.

Barbara Graham was born in 1923 in Oakland, California. She was a troublesome teenager and spent time in a reformatory. After this, she tried to mend her ways. She married in 1939, but when this fell apart within two years, Graham drifted into prostitution, eventually marrying mobster Henry Graham. Henry Graham introduced her to Jack Santo, a gang leader. Graham and her husband, along with Santo, Emmett Perkins and John True robbed an old lady, smothering her with a pillow when she resisted. True testified against them at the trial and Barbara tried to bribe a policeman to obtain an alibi. She was executed on 3 June 1955. When told she might get a stay of execution, she replied: “I never got a break in my whole goddamned life and you think I’m going to get one now?”

@carayoung A teenage girl with red hair looked up at the foster care. Apparently, there was a demigod here and she didn’t even know it. Follow the signs of troublesome teenage life and there’s a half blood

London Riots...

A few days ago, in Tottenham, a riot broke out, but it was to ‘celebrate’ the anniversary of someone’s death. Bulidings, houses, shops and even police vans/cars were burnt down…

After that, many more riots began to break out…
And today, there were loads!

  • Peckham
  • Catford
  • Woolwich
  • Depford
  • Hackney

I’m pretty sure I forgot a few more areas.

But I’ve got something to say about this…

You’re ruining your COMMUNITY. You live in these areas and your wrecking it?!
And it’s not even 'rioting’ anymore… it’s LOOTING!
All ya’ll wanna do is steal stuff. Have you no soul?
Okay, we’ve all stole something before, but it doesn’t mean we have to keep doing it.

Now, all your going to see is broken down/ burnt down bulidings, shops with absolutely nothing inside them, rubbish everywhere, people in hospitals, police patrolling the whole of London, etc.
Also, all the people we call 'tramps’ and people with no 'swag’ will be looking better than some of us because they’ve stolen some creps and clothes…

Some people can’t even leave their house now, because of this stupid craze sweeping the nation. Like c'mon man, I wanted to go shopping tomorrow, but I might not be able to because another riot might break out. ¬¬

And today, I got caught up in West London, I couldn’t even get home. I had to go to my dad’s work place to get driven home.
Dudes, there were no buses or trains running, think of all the other people who needed to get home to their families. What if it was your mum who got caught up in all of this?
I know you guys will get angry, so stop denying it….

And all of this was all over the news today, it even got to America’s headlines. #Awoah.

But I can’t lie, if I was there when it was happening, I’d take a few stuff too…
Only stuff I really need though. But I don’t think I have the heart to do it… It’s people’s businesses. They took their time and money to make it possible.

But c'mon guys, allow this…
Most of the people that are at the riots are black people, and black people already have a bad name, so why make it even worse for us?

And another thing, WTF are the police doing to stop this?! Their just standing there like a bunch of sloths ! #MLJ . Start shooting at people man… Black people aren’t afraid to cut a b*tch so why are you police? Kmt

And all these damages being caused…
Who the hell do you think is going to pay for them all? A mountain goat? ¬¬.
WE ARE GOING TO PAY FOR THIS… with a little something called tax…
I bet no one even thought of that. So all you people taking part in these so called riots are gonna be paying back for all the stuff you stole and damaged in the future. And all the innocent people are gonna suffer because of y'all. #NotCool.

So yeah.
That’s what’s going on in London at the moment…
Pretty f*cked up. I know.

The Troublesome Teenager.

MelissA exposed

Continued from the original post, Big A Hidden in Plain Sight:

…which focuses on certain themes that suggest Melissa is Big A.

Now we start getting into the more concrete evidence!

This sequence occurs during Episodes 2x03 - 2x04.

Spencer has a nightmare in which she and the girls are watching a movie in an empty theater. ’A’ appears shining a flashlight, and attacks the girls.

Spencer then awakes upon being disturbed by Melissa, who announces that she’s lost her wedding ring and can’t find it anywhere.

The next night, Spencer goes downstairs and sees Melissa going through the kitchen drawers, making it very obvious that she’s still looking for the missing ring.

Spencer then goes into a very heartfelt speech about a memory from their childhood.

Spencer: Melissa, you get why I’m scared, right? I mean, somebody broke in here last week, and I know about stuff… that I wish that I didn’t.

Melissa: What are you trying to say?

Spencer: I guess I’m just hoping that if it came down to it, that you would protect me… over someone who is not me.

Spencer: Do you remember Kendra Santoni? That bully who made me her punching bag in elementary school? Remember the day that I came home with that red mark on my neck, and I was afraid to tell mom that Kendra smacked me with a jump rope? And the next day on the playground, you cornered her and you said that if she ever touched me again, you’d make her eat that jump rope. I knew that you had my back. Remember?

Melissa: [silence]

Spencer: You don’t remember pushing her up against a wall?

Melissa: No, I don’t. And honestly, I’m kind of dealing with major stuff right now. My husband has been missing for nearly a week. I’m not looking to stroll down memory lane. Don’t make me choose between you and my husband, Spencer.

So just when it looks like they’re about to connect on some level, Melissa shuts it down an walks off, leaving Spencer alone and feeling vulnerable and scared that the psycho who tried to kill her could come back at any time and finish the job. And nobody in her family believes her or would even give her the benefit of the doubt. WTF is the deal with this family??

So Spencer decides to make some toast, but realizes the toaster has been unplugged. Hmm. When she pulls back the toaster, she finds Melissa’s engagement ring.

What a bizarre place to lose a wedding ring!

Of course, the ring was never truly lost; it was planted there so Spencer would find it. (Hide and seek, anyone?)

Now let’s keep in mind that Melissa was standing right there just a few minutes ago, and there’s no one else in the house besides Spencer. Also keep in mind that it was only a few minutes ago that Melissa deliberately hurt Spencer by basically saying she’d choose her psycho husband over her sister. Add all of this together and what we have is a setup for an emotionally wounded Spencer to take that ring and basically do anything with it except give it back to Melissa… which is exactly what happens.

Turns out Spencer takes the ring to a pawn shop in order to get some quick cash to help out Toby. So she “pawns” the ring for $2000 cash and promises the guy she’ll be back on Monday to buy the ring back.

But when she leaves the shop, we can tell she’s being watched from across the street.

Later that night, Black Gloves buys the ring from the pawn shop…

But wait!

Pawn shops generally do not operate like this.

Typically, a pawn shop can’t just sell that ring to any customer at this time.

Normally, the shop would have entered into a contract with Spencer to hold the ring for a specified time, in which Spencer is allowed to return, pay back the money and get the ring back. That’s what they agreed to and that’s what she expected. Her time frame has not expired yet!

Realistically, the only person who could obtain that ring other than Spencer would be the ring’s rightful owner (Melissa). She could prove ownership and convince the guy that her troublesome teenage sister stole the ring and sold it without her permission. Which is exacly what the wording suggests:

Shopkeeper: Yeah, I’ve seen a lot of these come through here. This one’s a real beauty. Put everything else in that case to shame. Yeah, I figured I wouldn’t see her again. There ya go. I had a hunch it wasn’t hers

This implies Black Gloves has proved ownership, so the shopkeeper lets it go.

So when Spencer returns to the pawn shop on Monday to get the ring back, all she gets is a rusty horseshoe. (A cute calling card, knowing how Melissa is an avid rider. And later on we’ll see this horseshoe was taken from the carriage house where Ian is found murdered!)

Now this whole thing reeks of an ’Asetup. And we can say with a good deal of certainty that Melissa has been orchestrating it. So now all we need is something to connect these two dots, like a good old ‘A’ message, as proof that Melissa is operating as 'A.’

Wait for it…

“Just my luck. Diamonds are a girl’s best friend. -A”

Woop, there it is!!!!

A brilliantly crafted program of emotional manipulation.

MelissA, you’ve been exposed!

“Got anything on the victim?”
“Not much, she was an A student, worked part time as a waitress, saving money for college, however a week ago she withdrew a large amount of money from her bank account. Pretty much all of it.”
“That’s interesting… why would the goody two-shoes need that much money all out of sudden?”
“Her father John Martin passed away two days before she took the money, I assume she was arranging his funerals, but we’re still checking the details.”
“A troubled teenager and a girl who just lost her father… there must be some kind of connection between the her and Abigail.”
“They didn’t know each other, at least we have no prove that they ever met before.”
“We should look into it more thoroughly.”
“There’s no need…”
“Excuse me?”
“I think I know the connection.”
“He’s recreating Carrie’s life… she was a troublesome teenager, just like the first victim, she lost her father not before her eighteen’s birthday.”
“Just like Evie…”
“He’s after her. Alright, listen everybody, we’ve gotta find him before he finds her. Kelly, go check in with Spencer and see the autopsy results, we need anything that can point to Boyd’s location.”
“Got it, boss.”
“Where’s Carrie?”
“Right here!”
“Remember the devil…”
“What’s going on? I don’t like that look on your face. I know that look.”
“Then you know what I’m about to say.”

Big Sister Material

Summary: Emma never thought of herself as big sister material. But somehow, she became a big sister after all, to a precious four-year-old boy Emma couldn’t love more if she tried. [Charming family. Emma bonding with her brother, slight Snow/Charming]

Rating: G

Disclaimer: Not my characters, just my words.

Author’s Note: Written to the following prompt: “set a couple of years in the future : Snow becomes pregnant again and Neal didn’t take kindly to the news. So Emma will have to teach him to be a big brother.”

A03 /

Emma never thought of herself as big sister material. Not in the orphanage where most of the kids were older, not in her foster home since the moment she learned they were having a baby, they didn’t want her anymore. No. Emma Swan was not cut out to be a big sister.

And then baby Neal was born. It was odd at first, and slightly heartbreaking to see her brother being raised by her parents as she should have been and truly know what she had lost. But even so she quickly fell in love with the kid, who over the years have reminded her both of Henry and of herself and made her realize just how much she is like her parents as well.

So somehow, she became a big sister after all, to a precious four-year-old boy Emma couldn’t love more if she tried. Still a kid, and like all kids, prone to childish reactions.

anonymousautonomousavatar  asked:

Why didn't Tywin get Jaime out of the Kingsguard after the Sack? The king that appointed Jaime was overthrown, nobody trusted him to be a KG, and the new king owed Tywin a favor.

Lord Tywin glanced at Jaime’s stump again. “You cannot serve in the Kingsguard without a sword hand—”

“I can,” [Jaime] interrupted. “[…] a knight of the Kingsguard serves for life.”

“Cersei ended that when she replaced Ser Barristan on grounds of age. A suitable gift to the Faith will persuade the High Septon to release you from your vows. Your sister was foolish to dismiss Selmy, admittedly, but now that she has opened the gates—”

“— someone needs to close them again.” Jaime stood. “I am tired of having highborn women kicking pails of shit at me, Father. No one ever asked me if I wanted to be Lord Commander of the Kingsguard, but it seems I am. I have a duty—”

“You do.” Lord Tywin rose as well. “A duty to House Lannister. You are the heir to Casterly Rock. That is where you should be. Tommen should accompany you, as your ward and squire. The Rock is where he’ll learn to be a Lannister, and I want him away from his mother. I mean to find a new husband for Cersei. Oberyn Martell perhaps, once I convince Lord Tyrell that the match does not threaten Highgarden. And it is past time you were wed. The Tyrells are now insisting that Margaery be wed to Tommen, but if I were to offer you instead—” “NO!” Jaime had heard all that he could stand.

The reasons Tywin is giving to get Jaime out of the Kingsguard in ASOS are

  1. the precedent Cersei set by releasing Barristan
  2. bribing the High Septon to release Jaime from his vows
  3. heir to Casterly Rock
  4. a marriage alliance to strengthen the Lannister-Tyrell coalition
  5. Jaime’s disability

So why wasn’t Jaime dismissed after the Sack?

1) You ask this question very casually, but it just wasn’t done. There wasn’t any precedent at the time for releasing a member of the Kingsguard from his vows. Prior to Barristan’s dismissal, the only way out of the Kingsguard was death. Perhaps the alternative was to send Jaime to the Wall, and perhaps some people around Robert at the time were even arguing for the Wall.

But when you’re Robert or Jon Arryn, and you’re staring down Tywin Lannister, trying to figure out what to do with this troublesome teenage kingslayer … and your choices for Jaime’s future are: 1) execution, 2) the Wall, 3) the KG …

Option #1 makes Tywin your enemy. Jon Arryn might be able to make Option #2 work for him, but it’s a big risk and it still pisses Tywin off at the beginning of an uncertain fledgling regime. Plus, if you’re Robert and you dismiss Jaime, you have 6 KG slots to fill, not just 5, and you probably want someone from the Westerlands on the KG. Pardoning Jaime and maintaining the status quo (Option #3) isn’t such a bad option in this situation if you’re Jon or Robert.

Plus, that’s sort of Tywin’s modus operandi, to sit, wait, and maintain the status quo until he’s certain of achieving the best outcome: “There is sitting and there is sitting. Each one waits for the other to move, but the lion is still, poised, his tail twitching"

So I think ultimately Robert decided his best move at the time was a pardon for Jaime, and Tywin realized his best move was “do nothing” because…

2) One of Tywin’s major concerns at the time was proving his loyalty to the new regime. Right after you’ve sworn fealty to your new king probably isn’t the best time to show everyone that you treat your vows lightly and buy your way out of them whenever it suits you. We also don’t know the disposition of the High Septon at the time; was he amenable to bribes?

Plus, having the lives of both of his twins tied to the success of Robert’s reign is one way to demonstrate loyalty (in addition to the baby murdering and stuff).

3) Tywin was only in his early 40s at the time of the Sack and he didn’t expect to be dying anytime soon, so I’m sure he believed there was plenty of time to indulge Jaime’s rebellious teenage KG phase, while Tywin is waiting for the right opportunity to get Jaime out.

4) There weren’t any spectacular marriage alliances waiting to be made for Jaime post-Rebellion, so again, Tywin can afford to sit and wait for an appropriate young maiden to “ripen”…

5) Jaime is an excellent swordsman, prior to losing his hand. With Cersei as Robert’s queen, House Lannister (theoretically) has a vested interest in keeping Robert on the throne. It’s my impression that Jaime was the one guarding Cersei a lot. (A lot of Robert’s KG was kinda trashy so it’s not surprising to me that the Lannisters kept Sandor around.) Guarding Cersei is what Jaime wanted…

6) Being dismissed from the Kingsguard is disgraceful. It’s like a vote of no confidence in that particular knight, so actually keeping Jaime on and granting him a royal pardon is a favor to Tywin. It would have been shameful to House Lannister for Jaime to be removed from the Kingsguard at that particular time.

So idk, if I were Tywin, I’d sit, wait, let Jaime have his fun while he’s helping guard my precious golden girl, and stay on the lookout for the right opportunity to get my heir back.
