the suburbs cover

“The Suburbs” by Father John Misty // Originally by Arcade Fire

Father John Misty is no stranger to covering the songs of others. In fact, he seems to downright enjoy it. Throughout the past year of touring in support of his stellar album, I Love You, Honeybear, he’s been dropping the occasional cover into his sets while also laying down in studio performances whenever the chance presents itself. He can now add this pretty cover of Arcade Fire’s “The Suburbs” to his repertoire (which includes Nirvana’s “Heart Shaped Box”, Johnny Cash’s “Baby Ride Easy”, The Flaming Lips’ “Do You Realize”, and many more). The man does no disappoint.
